Based on this, hehe. Then the Bernard bit popped into my head 🤭. This scrimble probably would've been more applicable LAST week. Given THIS week's weather (a chill and then a fuckton of rain), a more appropriate scrimble would be, like,

WENT A LIL OVERBOARD THIS WEEK! Originally, this was meant to be just Jacquie and @shittyelfwriter's Elle. And I did attempt to draw it years ago! but I never finished it. I can't find the Jacqueline one, but the Elle one is still saved on my computer:

Right! So! That was this week's scrimble, and then the Bernard bit popped into my head bc tbh it's hot BECAUSE of the humidity but I didn't want to fuck with the meme, so, ENTER B-MAN!

And then Jacqueline being an ass bc she doesn't like being too hot. I'm sure the next interaction goes something like:

Jacqueline: Farquaad looking ass Bernard: >:O Elle: OKAY IT'S TIME FOR ICE CREAM

And then post ice cream it'd be something like

Jacqueline: Sorry for comparing you to Lord Farquaad, B-Man. I was hangry. Heat angry. Bernard: S'okay. I was regular hangry. I don't uh...I'm not giving Lord Farquaad, right? Elle: NO! Of course not! Jacquie: Yeah you're like, DEFFS taller than him.

AND THEN. Yesterday was hella rainy (hurricane debby remnants crawling their way towards us), so I was like "man, a rain version would be ideal. With @kscribbs's lil guy, Mel. Their convo after deffs goes like this:

This was an ADVENTURE, let me tell you. I'm not happy with Mel's colouring? She looked so CUTE as a SKETCH and then I FUCKED IT with MARKERS. I was like, maybe I can make the sleeves look like water too? But now there's too much blues and I am UNAMUSED.

asfhdgfgsj okay sorry in advance for the long post but. they're my homemade red/blue and pink/purple gays,, here's some quick scribbles

they're very very self-indulgent and based off of both a bunch of my favorite yuri manga tropes & archetypes (sometimes i call them anokiss with werewolves) and also,, songs. ofc

Nat, the pink one, is human and she's the popular girl/Girl Who Knows A Little Too Much and is based mostly on Undone by Greta Isaac

Misty, the purple one, is a werewolf who does not hide it whatsoever and somehow no one suspects it & is the jock/cheerful rascal with a heart of gold kinda type. based mostly on Coexist by Wild Party

Timber, the red one, is a werewolf who tries really hard to hide it & is the Overworked Overachiever/shy awkward protag type. based mostly on Saccharine by Jazmin Bean

Dani, the blue one, is human and they're the Carefree Genius/unintentional prince type and is based mostly on Jason by BONNIE PARKER

everything takes place in another fav trope, the mysterious slightly nonsensical boarding school full of shameless gay activity, and uses what i remember of Wolves Of Mercy Falls rules where the werewolves are just. Living As Normal Ass Wolves for a few months every year (starts at first snowfall and they don't turn back until spring)

Nat and Misty are the school's Intimidating Semi-Delinquent Power Couple but really they're just goofballs off doing their own thing/trying their best to deal with the various Problems that arise w having a werewolf gf.

Timber and Dani are roommates (oh my god they were roommates) and have a horrid will-they won't-they, hardcore pining + never saying anything, category 5 Situationship going on bc neither of them have the balls to ask the other out. they Also have a whole ordeal happening with Timber trying (and failing) to hide the lycanthropy from Dani which ultimately culminates in Dani witnessing Timber wolfing out first hand (a wee bit traumatizing for both parties) and then just having to sit around going ''hey. what the Fuck'' all winter until Timber comes back <3 they yearn and pine and suffer your honor <3

Eventually they all cross paths due to the aforementioned Werewolf Problems and become a big messy wonderful stupid semi-unofficial polycule that effortlessly and painfully blends the lines between romantic&platonic until it becomes a secret third thing. bc i said so <3

MADDIE TELL ME ABOUT THE GILMORE GIRL RAISED BY RICHARD AND EMILY PLS I FORGOT HER NAME 😭

THATS MY GIRL THATS MY GIRL (there's also an AU with my most precious Gilmore Girl, Kirsty, being raised by Richard & Emily, but the main one is Dani)

Her name is Dani Gilmore (Daniella Céline Gilmore-Danes)

Basically, she’s Luke and Lorelai’s daughter and Rory’s older sister, but she doesn’t know it!  So I have Luke and Lorelai meeting in passing when Lorelai is 15/16 (there's a reference that they went to the same beach when they were younger but at different times), they hook up, Lorelai gets pregnant, she has no way of contacting Luke, and Emily convinces her that she’s not ready to raise a child so Emily and Richard raise her as their own

A few months later, Lorelai is pregnant with Rory and decides that this time she is going to keep her, so she has Rory and moves to Stars Hollow and meets Luke a few years later and goes oh shit

But she doesn’t tell him about Dani, and Dani still thinks that Emily and Richard are her parents (and extremely controlling/manipulative parents at that) right up until she goes to Rory’s stars hollow birthday party and crashes straight into Luke when he arrives with the ice!

They spend that season getting to know each other and figuring out how to coexist, Dani absolutely adores him, and Luke has no idea how to act with a daughter but is trying his best

After Bracebridge she starts to move in with Luke. It’s sort of a combination of things tbh — the Emily and Richard fighting, the way all of the Gilmores still refuse to actually talk about the fact that she’s Lorelai’s daughter, and getting to know Jess!  She really feels for him and she wants to get to be part of his and Luke’s life and she’s so happy talking to the two of them all night, but she’s still hesitating but then as they’re leaving, she and Emily get into a fight and Emily says something about “go wait with your father!” clearly meaning Richard and Dani just sort of stops, stares at her, and goes “okay”, before going to Luke and saying “hey, could I maybe stay with you guys tonight?” and Luke tells her that she can stay as long as she’d like! She also adores Rory but things are always a bit weird between them because of Lorelai and how weird Lorelai is about Dani in general

Dani is frequently described as too charming for her own good, she's very close friends with Logan even before Yale but they get closer when she joins him at Yale and joins the Life And Death Brigade, and he is probably/tentatively her endgame ship. She studies business at Yale and absolutely adores fashion, hopes to combine those in some way but isn't 100% sure what she wants to do with it yet

"it was an exploration of the more toxic aspects of glendales obsession with duty/his need to be useful!!! it also relied on retirement bein more of a lack of humanity as opposed to burnout so the focus was more on glen pushing his own biases onto freya and pushing her to 'restore' herself and over time undergoing the same transformation as she did, eventually learning to accept their new normal

i always liked the idea of glen learning to accept the helplessness of needing help, being unable to provide help etc etc and freya learning to accept her emotions instead of externalizing them through her outbursts
