I forgot to post this one. Enemy ace pilot Weaver Serpentine. It was a hard decision to draw him with arms and legs and he was originally going to have a helmet that allowed him to pilot his ship through his thoughts, but then I googled if it was possible for snakes to have these apendegis. It is. My mind was blown.

This one I’ve been working on and off at work during lunch or as a morning warmup since last November. Obviously it was really slow going working on it sporadically so I took it home to finish up! It’s based on American ace William Beyer’s account of his dogfight with German ace Klaus Mietusch, which I read in high school and always stuck with me: "....we made many violent high-G maneuvers with wide open throttle. When I started to close and fire, I noticed that his plane seemed to have stopped in the air. I had to decide whether to shoot and run, or to try to stop my plane. I cut throttle, lowered flaps, and dropped my wheels- I still kept closing. I had to fishtail and do flat weaves to stay behind him. This maneuver was repeated three times, and on one occasion I almost cut his tail off, we were so close. Then we started into steep dives. The last one was at around 1,000 feet with flaps down. This last maneuver was deadly and nerve-wracking. He went straight down toward the ground, hoping I couldn't pull out. If I pulled out early, he could have come in behind me, so I stayed with him. If we had had our wheels down when we pulled out, we would have been on the ground. It was after this pullout that I finally was able to get my sights lined up and fire at him. I must have hit him with the first burst, because he kept turning and went into the ground and broke up. Send a 👫 and I’ll write four headcanons I have about our muse’s relationship

I jokingly wrote about Clover discovering his bisexuality in basic when he kissed a boy for the first time and he fell head over heels for him. That was Mauve and now I’m serious about it.

Since we’re really doing this based off my shitpost then they’re married. Clover always wears his ring but his glove covers it. This is a Bale-Ebi household.

With any other pairing, Clover is hesitant to start a family. Clover wants to have/raise children with Mauve almost immediately upon their first night together in their new home.

Clover learned how to pilot dropships/aerial transports through Mauve. Mauve makes flying/aerial puns all the damn time and Clover loves this man so damn much.

Mauve survives the plane crash in v4 because Clover gave him a good luck charm when Mauve gave Clover the red arm band.

I ship this so hard now. I hope Maddie doesn’t break my heart.

They both have flying motifs aka pilot and kingfisher. Clover lovingly nicknames Mauve tori which means bird.

They’re so in love with another. It’s wholesome. It’s beautiful. They are a set. Do not separate. I refuse a world where one exists after the other is gone. Maddie I swear to the heavens do not even try it 🔫👀
