another "what if this Sonic character from a different continuity was in the modern era games" redesign because I had so much fun making the first set and Sally's my baby <3

I never liked how Sally always had to be the "normal" one, or how she ping-ponged between being overly competent (to make up for the fact that she was a girl with a lot of narrative focus) and having random personality flaws stapled on her to try to balance her out (to make up for the fact that she was a girl with a lot of narrative focus)

well, in my version she's Han Solo 🤷‍♂️ "mary sue" this, "mary sue" that, I think it's funny when a character has huge-massive confidence and they can 100% back it up. her character was originally designed around being Sonic's more logical, strategic counterpart with a similar level of ego, and I thought it would be really fun to bring that back to the forefront. so while Sonic is able to roll with the punches in every situation, Sally is playing 4D mind chess at all times and somehow always expects the unexpected to the point of absurdity. real "you've activated my trap card" kind of gal

I also wanted to clean up her theming a little and tighten the focus of her character design, so I went hard on the "rebel leader" vibes. she was probably still a princess at one point, but she gave up her title to help dismantle the local monarchy while she was at it because she's cool like that

also I had to throw in a nod to her being Sonic's only successful love interest for many, many years. I imagine he was helping her save her homeland from an ongoing Eggman occupation and they became besties for a while before their awkward phase. it's cute to imagine them rebuilding their friendship now that they're a little older :]

If the IDW comic team ever got the go ahead to rework characters from archie sonic and fleetways sonic the comic a fun idea would be to make a journalist team trying to inform people of dangerous situations and gather intel on eggman / robotnik

Decided to redesign Sienna

And for once i'm actually happy with her design!!!!

I can Not tell you how much I was struggling with Sienna design wise all this time she suffered the same issue I had with one of my knuxoug kids (Toepaz) this issue was she looked a-lot like Sonic which isn't a bad thing its just she didn't look like her own character if that makes any sense. (Also didnt feel like it was sallys kid more like s girl version of sonic)

Like take her brother Alec he looks ALOT like his mom but I designed him in a way that hopefully give you the impression that he's also sonics kid thus the mohawk (fav part of his design) gives him a sharp spiky look.

I wanted the same look for Sienna but they never felt right. So decided to see what she would looked like if her quills were more like her moms hair and boom here we are XD
