All #personaltrainers train different and have different styles, and when I create exercise programs for my clients I like exercises that work multiple joints and are compound lifts; two different joints are moving the weight. I leave the fancy work for when I am certain they have gotten stronger on their main lifts. Start to Finish: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/workouts-by-muscle-booster/id1446447749 A few of you have reached out for training ideas on a busy schedule. I discovered a few ways to stay in shape while working crazy hours on set, traveling and still getting in what you actually like doing. You can use your phone through the “Muscle Booster” app to get a rhythm, and then make your own workouts really easily with and without weights or a gym. This sounds like a fitness commercial, I know… but after trial and error, your “program” comes to life. This is for men and women, obviously with different goals. This can be the foundational workout (2 times a week) or the whole workout (3 times a week). Compare: 1. Warm up (everyone forgets this part and it’s not stretching) ½ to 1 mile on the treadmill or walking - needs to be at 3.5 or slightly faster to truly warm up. But long steps and get the blood pumping; (10 min) 2. Stretch - go from feet to head / legs, hips, back, shoulders, arms, neck to fingertips; (5 min) 3. Core - choose a core workout either 10, 15 or 18 minutes. You can choose beginner, intermediate or advanced either in the app or online; 4. Next you can choose and focus on a specific area (arms, back, shoulders, legs, supersets,etc…) online or in the app depending on your weekly workout (15-20 min); 5. One last 5 minute cool down on the treadmill and you are done! Most know about nutrition but this app also provides recommendations, recipes and even a calorie counter so you can see it all in one spot. No joke… I do this randomly each week (1-3 times) and it’s legit. When I started, I tried it out and then ended up going back to get more workouts. Let me know if this helps! Next workout is on me! When creating a shopping list for the grocery store make a list of the foods you need for your specific goals. Choose Whole Foods, very few processed items. Load up on healthy carbs and healthy fats. 🍛🍲🍱 Since my whole goal is fat loss, I like to think of what I want to prepare for myself for the next couple of weeks (I meal prep). I choose recipes and buy my foods according! Saves so much time and keeps me from spending money on junk. My trick to keeping vegetables longer I pre chop them and freeze them! • Al crear una lista de compras para el supermercado, haga una lista de los alimentos que necesita para sus objetivos específicos. Elija comidas enteras, muy pocos artículos procesados. Cargue los carbohidratos saludables y las grasas saludables. 🍛🍲🍱 Dado que mi objetivo principal es la pérdida de grasa, me gusta pensar en lo que quiero preparar para las próximas semanas (preparo las comidas). ¡Elijo recetas y compro mis comidas de acuerdo! #swipe I’ve always struggled with my weight. Always been the bigger girl, and from an early age, knew what a diet was. These insecurities lead up to me developing an eating disorder, and never having good relationships with food or a positive body image. As I grew older, and learned more about my body, I started realizing that my body served an extraordinary purpose. I’m strong, athletic, powerful, flexible, and beautifully curvy! Having Arlen stunted my self loving journey, but getting back on track with my training programs, eating healthier, and remembering that my body serves an EXTRAORDINARY purpose is setting things back in course. • Siempre he luchado con mi peso. Siempre eh sido la niña más grande, y desde temprana edad, sabía lo que era una dieta. We take so much time, making sure our insides are well taken care of, we need to make sure we are also taking care of our skin. Here are some tips to help you keep your skin healthy: 🔅Keep it SIMPLE and EASY! Nothing worse than coming home from a long day and having to carry out 7-12 steps to clean your face and/body. Don’t use so many different cleansers and lotions. Stick to one or two that work best for you. 🔅Check your body regularly. Any new blemishes or bumps or rashes, speak with your dermatologist! 🔅Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Seriously, keep your skin soft and wrinkle free by making sure it’s MOISTURIZED! Shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, whatever works for your skin best, keep it stocked! Apply everywhere. Also, drink lots of water. • Nuestra piel es el órgano más grande que tenemos. How many times a week do you spend in the gym? A lot of people tell me they spend 2hrs in the gym, and are still not seeing results. And their mistake is that they are only thinking of how much time they spend in the gym, and not HOW that time is spent in the gym. If you have a specific goal like muscle gain and fat loss, then intense exercises like weightlifting, and high intensity cardio in short duration is all you need.
