Just noticed something about AOS lore

Kharadron Overlords were born because of the necessity to fight back a Tzeench invasion... They overcame this massacre and evolved into one of the weirdest factions in the realms. They think that they defeated Tzeench and strived for a better future, but if you really think about it... The Chaos God won. He CHANGED them, drastically. He attacked a bunch of duardin miners and he turned them (indirectly) into a steampunk sky pirate type of society. The Kharadon are happy because they "won" (They survived), but Tzeench is happier because he WON (He CHANGED them forever).

An Arkanaut's guide to trading with grots

- Firstly, subclause 2.26.12 of the Kharadron Code forbids trade with active enemies of the Geldraad. While most grot clans are subject to this sanction, there is as yet ambiguity as to the status of individual, unaffiliated grots in regards to this law. Regardless, it’s recommended one employs a Codewright prior to engaging in trade.

- The concept of a unified currency is novel to the grots, and many haven’t even heard of it. Most trade through a simple barter system. While it’s possible to persuade them to trade for objects such as coins, it will only be because such objects are shiny and forged of precious metals.

- There is no set price for any commodity (grots don’t even have a word for ‘commodity’), all goods are worth what the other party are willing to pay for them in that instant. Be prepared to demonstrate the value of any goods you wish to sell, and haggle extensively.

- While not in direct contradiction to the above to points, it’s worth noting that fungi, particularly edible or hallucinogenic mushrooms, have very stable and widely-accepted values, making them the closest thing to a currency. They are, in many ways, a fungible commodity.*

- Grots have no compunctions about being deceitful as to the worth of their goods. Inspect all objects thoroughly for signs of deception.

- Grots do not have the memory, honesty, or lifespan for concepts such as investment or loans.

- If a grot believes it will be easier for them to kill you for your goods, it will do so. Equip yourself accordingly, and ideally travel with the most intimidating guards possible.

♣️♦️ CG!Overlord Husk and Little!Angel Headcanons ♥️♠️

TW: Valentino, SA, abuse, toxic work environment, trauma, negative/impure regression (because age regression is not always sunshine and rainbows /srs)

♣️♦️ How It All Began ♥️♠️

♣️ Husk may be one of the most powerful overlords, but he secretly has a good heart. Not only is he one of the best gamblers in Hell, but he is also classified caregiver who never had the chance to take care of littles due to his gambling job.

♦️ Angel met Husk at the casino one night after work. They talked over a couple of drinks and hit it off pretty well.

♠️ When Angel mentioned that he worked for Valentino, Husk couldn’t help but shudder. During overlord meetings, Husk always felt suspicious around Valentino since he would always have creepy interactions with him and everyone he meets.

♥️ Angel knows about Val’s horrible abuse because he is always abused and sexually assaulted by him. He couldn’t tell anyone because it would make himself and Val look bad (Val’s words, not Angel’s).

♣️ When Angel started hanging out with Husk during his time off work, Valentino grew envious. He would always check the spider’s phone and accuse him of “no longer wanting anything to do with him after all he has done for him”.

“Who are you talking to?” Valentino asked as he snatched Angel’s phone away and began to look through it.

“It’s just Husk,” Angel said.

“So you want to hang with another overlord? Is it because he has more money and power than me?”

“What? No, we’re just friends, I swear.”

“You really think you could spend more time with some filthy cat than me?!” Valentino snarled as he threw the phone down, causing the screen to crack.

“N-no, that’s not true!” Angel defended.

♦️ Valentino forced Angel to go no-contact with Husk in order for him to focus more on his job.

♠️ Husk grew concerned when he didn’t hear a word from Angel for three days. On the third night, Husk decided to reschedule a poker game he had planned to go check on Angel. Suddenly, he heard banging on the door, along with the sound of whimpering. He opened the door and saw Angel sobbing. The spider also had bruises all over his body, along with a black eye.

♥️ Husk became infuriated and went full demon, asking Angel who hurt him. This caused Angel to involuntarily slip, crying and covering his ears from Husk scaring him and the fact that his body was in literal pain.

♣️ Husk saw this and calmed down, feeling incredibly guilty for frightening Angel. Now was not the time to ask questions. He took Angel in and comforted him. Angel was frightened that Husk was gonna hurt him, but the cat reassured him that he wasn’t.

♦️ After Husk tended to Angel’s wounds (with his permission, of course), he let him sleep in the guest room for the night.

♠️ The next morning, Angel’s headspace went back to normal, but he was also hungover. Husk helped him get better.

♥️ Once Angel finally got better, he and Husk talked about what was going on. Angel came clean about Val’s abuse and how he was told not to tell anyone about it.

♣️ Husk was angry for Angel, realizing that Val was abusing his powers as an overlord to harm his employees. Husk requested that Angel should stay at his place instead of the V Tower. Angel argued that it was a bad idea, but Husk argued back that sleeping over at Val’s was much worse. Angel agreed after thinking of all of the times Valentino slept with him after his shoots.

♦️ Valentino was pissed that Angel escaped, but he reluctantly allowed him to stay at Husk’s place. However, it meant extra hours added to Angel’s shift.

♣️ A week after Angel moved into Husk’s home, Husk thought back to the night when Angel escaped the V Tower and was crying. He pondered at the thought of Angel possibly being an age regressor.

♦️ When Husk and Angel sat down one evening, the former asked if the latter was an age regressor. Angel was scared to talk about it, but Husk told him that he wasn’t mad and that he would be there for him, no matter what.

♠️ After some contemplation, Angel told the cat about his regression and how he used it to cope with work. He kept his coping mechanism a secret because one, Valentino. Simple as that (Quick author's note: I don't think we need to know what will happen if Valentino finds out about Angel’s regression /srs). And two, littles were at the bottom of the rank in Hell's hierarchy (even below the imps and hellhounds) (idea by @yourneurodivergentlady).

♥️ Husk understood this and vowed to keep Angel’s regression a secret.

♣️♦️ Agere Headcanons ♥️♠️

♣️ Despite being a powerful overlord, Husk is very calm and patient. He is also authoritative - in favor of rules, while being supportive of Angel’s needs (Verywell Mind).

♦️ Husk stays sober from alcohol so he can care for the little spiderling. He also tries his hardest not to smoke cigars around Angel because smoke brings out horrible memories of Valentino. He even gets nicotine patches to curb his smoking habit.

♠️ Husk has so much dosh (Adventure Time slang for treasure/money) that he spoils Angel to the nth degree. Angel wasn’t sure about this since Val would only shower him with gifts one minute and hurt him the next. However, Husk reassures Angel that he is spoiling him out of genuine kindness.

♥️ And boy, does Husk spoil Angel with the best of the best - little clothing (onesies, sweaters, footed sleepers, etc.) and stuffies with the softest, cuddliest material, food that is nutrient dense and soul nourishing, you name it (if Angel wants it, of course).

♣️ Husk has a baby monitor (with Angel’s permission) so he can make sure that Angel is safe when he’s playing or napping in another room (idea by @nottapossum).

♦️ When Angel regresses and Husk has to go to an overlord meeting or a poker game, he hires Cherri Bomb and Fat Nuggets as nannies so either one of them (or both) can babysit.

♠️ Husk never lets Angel go to work when he’s small because of the spider wanting to keep his coping mechanism as far as possible from Valentino (idea by @yourneurodivergentlady).

♥️ Angel struggles with trauma and PTSD. He also struggles with big emotions, but he thankfully has Husk, Fat Nuggets, and Cherri to help him cope. He even has his own calming corner to help him calm down (idea from @yourneurodivergentlady and Big Drink (Hazbin Hotel oneshot)). Angel’s favorite thing to do in the calming corner is sit in a fabric/sensory swing while listening to calming music and reading his favorite books, all while snuggling with Fat Nuggets.

♣️ Like in my Regressor! Angel headcanons, Angel’s favorite programs are Blue’s Clues (all versions: orginal, Blue’s Room, BC&Y!), Sesame Street, Olivia (Peppa walked so Olivia could run), Octonauts, PB&J Otter, Puffin Rock, Rubbadubbers, Bubble Guppies, Angelina Ballerina, Bluey, and Bear in the Big Blue House. He also loves Baby Einstein and the BabyFirst Channel when he regresses to a tiny headspace (0-2).

♦️ Husk rents out places such as the local aquarium and park so Angel can get out of the house and regress without any fear if he wants to. Angel always has little gear that is discreet to the public eye.

♠️ Husk’s mansion also has an aquarium and Angel visits there a lot (with supervision from Husk, Cherri, or Fat Nuggets when he’s little).

♥️ Like in my Regressor! Angel headcanons, Angel’s regressed age ranges from 0-6.

♣️ Husk is always prepared. He has his own baby bag that he carries wherever he goes and has whatever Angel needs, whether it be a snack or a sensrory toy (idea from Caregiver! Husk headcanons).

♦️ Husk has a co-sleeping crib next to his bed for Angel (idea from Caregiver! Husk headcanons). He decorated the co-sleeping crib to be the comfiest bed for the itsy-bitsy spider. I’m talking sheets with a 400 thread count, cooling pillows so Angel doesn’t get hot at night, and a little side toy that plays soothing music to lull Angel to sleep.

♠️ Angel calls Husk “Kitty” and “Papa”. When he’s incredibly tiny, he calls Husk “Ba” (which melts the gambling demon’s heart).

♥️ Husk gave Angel a baby blanket that has a pattern of pigs and little playing card symbols, along the words “Little Spiderling” embroidered on it.

♣️ Husk would sometimes swaddle Angel up and tell him stories about his day (like how he got his own aquarium and stuff) (inspired by The Middle’s Eyes Wide Open).

♦️ Angel vent regresses, but Husk is always there to help him feel better and know that regression doesn’t always have to be positive. Husk would also sing It’s Okay to Cry to Angel often to let him know that “it’s okay to cry and you shouldn’t feel bad about feeling bad (BoJack Horseman)”.

♠️ Angel also regresses to an infantile headspace whenever it’s his naptime or bedtime.

♥️ Angel isn’t a picky eater. He loves to eat fruit (Hazbin Hotel Wiki), especially if it’s cut up into cubes. Whenever Husk cooks, Angel helps him out (Husk does the grown-up stuff like cutting things up and boiling food in a pot and putting food in the oven).

♣️ Angel tries his best to help around the house because he sees Husk working a lot and doesn't want him to worry about chores. Angel has also been called spoiled and lazy by Valentino and doesn't want to be seen that way by Husk. Husk thanks Angel for trying to help out and reassures him that he is not spoiled and lazy in any way. He also reassures the spiderling that he is helping out by putting away his toys when it was time to do so (even sometimes doing it without being told to) and helping him cook.

♦️ Angel struggles with finding and using his voice, but Husk gently encourages him. He helps Angel be brave and praises him when he does so.

When he wasn't doing that, Alastor was enjoying his mother's home cooking or likely ripping the heads off his stuffed deer plushies. Regardless, he was certainly a mama's boy who didn't mind being called, "Dear."
