A little short fic of Babybat and Dadfred, feeling a bit insecure with posting my writing but I wanna post it for Halloween.

Fuzzy. So, fuzzy.

Bruce felt this often, more than he’d like to admit.

Quiet music fills his buzzing ears, another ridiculous Disney movie on the Television, he assumes it’s Moana, but Bruce isn’t quite sure. Alfred is always putting on Disney movies when he feels like.. whatever this is.

Alfred’s warm hand startles Bruce, though he can hardly process the soft and kind words.

“..Bruce? Sweet boy, come along”

This is a rare day, with a rare feeling, for Bruce. Usually, Bruce is fighting their usual ‘routine’ of bath, food, then bed. Bruce had taken the bath without a fuss, silent the whole time.

While this was a slight concern to Alfred, he’s just happy to take care of his Bruce.

Alfred takes Bruce into the living room, but Bruce barely follows along, just allowing himself to be led by his caretaker.

“Come now, darling, wouldn’t you like some hot cocoa and to watch Moana while I whip up your dinner?” Alfred speaks in his usual gentle tone, often dawning it heavily when Bruce is small.

Bruce just gives a quiet shrug and shake of his head, the wet mop of hair grossly hitting his face, which he grunts to; pushing his bangs out of the way.

Alfred tuts quietly, picking up the towel that Bruce had so carelessly discarded right after Alfred had him wrapped in it. “Silly me, I didn’t fully dry your hair. I’m quite a silly butler, hm?”

Alfred tries his best to be gentle while ruffling up Bruce’s wet strands of hair, but the man still fusses and pulls his head away. “Now, come on dear, I need to get you all dry and comfortable, hm? I’m sure that wet hair makes you feel all icky, doesn’t it?” Alfred tries his best not to coo at the grumpy little bat, knowing that would only result in a tantrum, Alfred has quite liked their sort-of peaceful night so far.

After just a bit more struggle, Bruce’s hair is more dry, and he’s now finally seated on the couch. Alfred clears his throat gently to not startle the little one. “I’ll just be a moment, dear boy, you watch the telly, alright?” Bruce grunts in response, which, of course, is normal for him.

Alfred heads off to the kitchen to fix dinner and the promised hot cocoa, leaving Bruce alone with the awfully loud Disney songs.

The Butler stirs a mug filled with warm homemade hot chocolate, he hears a creak in the floorboards, a little bat must be coming up behind him. Alfred turns his head, peering over his shoulder to see Bruce, fidgeting with his sleeve as he shuffles up to Alfred.

The baby bat looks so upset, fiddling with his pajama shirt sleeve and looking down, obviously nervous though trying to hide it.

Alfred can’t help but let a coo escape as he kneels to meet Bruce’s eye level. “Oh, sweet boy, I was only away for a moment, did you get scared being alone?” Bruce’s bangs fall into his eyes from his reluctant nod.

Just as soon as Alfred opens his arms for a hug, Bruce hurriedly goes to him, clinging to the butler tightly. Alfred chuckles softly, stroking Bruce’s hair, and pushing his bangs back to the side. “Okay sweetie, let me finish making your cocoa alright? Your dinner is just cooling off, darling.”

While the hot chocolate cools off a bit, Alfred gets the little one all fed, though he only eats about half, just getting Bruce to eat even a bite of his food is amazing to him. There’s some fussing while Alfred wipes his mouth, but he manages to get Bruce’s face all clean.

Alfred takes his ward by hand, and they make their way back into the living room, steaming hot cocoa in Bruce’s hands. Alfred bundles little Bruce into his favorite blanket, getting him all snuggled up. Bruce just about drops the mug, thankfully it has a lid so it won’t spill.

“Alright, you little cuddle bat, what would you like to watch now? Tangled? Or perhaps... Toy Story?” Bruce peers through his bangs to stare up at the television, pointing at Toy Story. Alfred chuckles, putting on the nostalgic movie and snuggling up next to his baby.

The movie starts up, painting the dark living room in a soft blue. Alfred feels a gentle pull on his sleeve, he looks down at his little bat. “Hm? Is there something you need, dear?”

Bruce turns his head away, chewing his lip before letting out a breath.

“Love you, Baba.”

If Alfred’s heart could burst out of his chest it would. “Oh, my sweet little Bruce. I love you so much, my son.” Alfred’s voice is so gentle, just dripping with affection for his little boy. Bruce snuggles into Alfred’s side, a yawn escaping him, but his tired eyes still focus on the movie. “mm.. my dad”

Alfred cannot take much more of this just, cuteness from his baby. He pulls Bruce just a tad bit closer, kissing his temple. “My sweet, sweet boy.”

They snuggle together, wrapped up in this ball of love and affection. All that matters is Alfred loves his son, and Bruce loves his dad.

Sorry if this is bad, I don’t write that much and this took about two days just to fully finish,, I’d like to write more often, it’s really fun, just stresses me out.

🧽• Bruce loves to imitate Alfred, if Alfred is cleaning then Bruce is cleaning fake dishes in his play sink

🫐• Bruce is always watching over Alfred's shoulder when he does puzzles, so now Alf makes sure to get Bruce a kid word search to do alongside with him

🧽• Bruce's main regressed ages are quite small (baby to young toddler)

🫐• He loves laying on the couch and watching old classic movies and musicals with Alf (it lulls him to sleep)

The Batman/Bruce Wayne (2022) regressor headcanons/sorta scenarios with CG!Alfred cause, yeah.

(Also these are MY personal thoughts and honestly probably projecting, so if you don’t agree with them or think otherwise, thats fine)

The biggest brat, oh my god, Alfred would be so stressed over him, constant “Bruce, please do not put that in your mouth” | “Bruce no, don’t play with the Batarang it’s sharp!”

Fussiest baby ever, never wanting to eat anything, refusing bedtime, try and get him in the bath? expect attempted punches. If he decides to let himself play with toys, my gosh he’ll never wanna put them down.

I don’t know how I personally feel about time outs, but I think bruce would definitely need somewhere to calm down when he gets too upset or overwhelmed.

The rare moments of him being a little teeny without fussing, and Alfred just rocking him and humming lullabies.

Needing Alfred to help him with things but refusing to let him help.

Alfred having noise cancelling headphones, stim toys, and a pacifier on him at all times.

Attached to a very specific blanket and stuffed animal, carrying it around with him all the time, Alfred made the mistake of washing them while Bruce was awake, he had the biggest meltdown, Alfred never did it again.

Alfred is so gentle with Bruce, not matter how upset, fussy, angry, aggressive Bruce is, Alfred is just patient.

Reluctantly being Alfred’s little helper, saying he hates it (he secretly loves it and loves when Alfred tells him he did a good job on folding laundry or watering the plants).

They have plants, a bunch of plants, it started with one but now theres just so many plants.

I think his age ranges would maybe be about 0-7?

Since Bruce hates everyone and everything (/j?) Alfred has a playset set up in the backyard so Bruce can get some outdoor playtime.

I think Alfred has always had a feeling that Bruce regresses, especially after those long nights of patrol and he comes back all fussy and tired and Alfred has to bathe him, i think that Alfred actually did research on regression and then slowly introduced Bruce into it, since Bruce didn’t know what was happening, all he knew is that he felt small and hated it.

Alfred hangs up every. single. drawing on the fridge, every single one, Bruce scribbles all over the page with crayons, Alfred is praising him and sticking it up on the fridge.

Probably a huge crybaby but hates crying in front of people (Alfred is the only exception) all the ouchies and boo-boos have him in tears, with Alfred giving him kisses and little bandaids with bats on them.

Definitely whines, like all the time, over everything.

Hates to go shopping but Alfred doesn’t trust him being home alone, having to hold Alfred’s hand to cross the street and even while in the store, Alfred took his eyes off of Bruce one time for a second, and Bruce was halfway across the store and swarmed by people. (Bruce now wears a face mask and a little hoodie when they go out to hide his face)

Will put anything and everything in his mouth, Alfred has grabbed chewed up TV remotes from him before.

Follows Alfred around everywhere, Alfred pointed it out once and Bruce got so flustered and upset, saying he doesn’t, but he absolutely does. He loves being close to Alfred, feeling safe around him.

Probably chews his fingers and nails when upset, or scratches himself, Alfred tried to put lotion on him and mittens so he’d stop, but he refused it completely.

Nightmares, all the time. Alfred has woken up to screaming, crying, and a scared baby Bruce crawling into his bed. Long nights of rocking and bottles, with Disney movies (Bruce “hates” Disney but will willingly sit down and watch Frozen).

Chasing, Alfred has had to chase Bruce down so many times when he’s grabbed something that he absolutely should not have, or running from something like bathtime, Alfred has considered wearing tennis shoes from how much he has to chase after Bruce.

So fussy over naps but absolutely needs to take naps or he throws more tantrums than average.

Loves to play with and make things with Playdoh, tries to eat the Playdoh.

Calls Alfred ‘Papa, Dada, Baba, Alfred, Meanie, Alfred the Butt-ler/ref’

*Amazing but strict caregiver

*You're her number one priority

*Has a little garden for you that she helps you with

*Prefers baby regressors

*Loves cuddling you and combing your hair while singing lullabys

*Frank and you have a sibling relationship but she'd never lwt him babysit

*Harley is very close to you and and you call her "sissy"

*Being with kiteman caused you to have more tantrums because it made you said that she was with him but didn't love him

*Every time you'd throw a tantrum she'd put you in the corner and if you moved she would use her plants to put you back

*Sometimes you'd leave the apartment and go to Harleys lair

*Just imagine Harley and the crew discussing evil plans while you stand in the entrance holding your blanky with a paci in your mouth

*Harley is quick to comfort you and lets you fall asleep on her lap

*When Ivy wakes up she freaks out because she cant find you and then opens her phone seeing Harley sent her an image of you coloring with King Shark.

*Ivy is there in a matter of minutes being completely out of breath. You run to her crying while she holds you tight saying to never worry her like that again

*When Harley and Ivy got together you were so happy. Harley was now your second mom

*When Ivy became leader of the l.o.v she has a corner in her office filled with toys, rattles, a pile of stuffys, and a playpen

*Since Harley and Ivy are both busy with their new jobs Ivy had Bane babysit you when she was 100% sure he could take care of you. Harley and Ivy would fuck him up if he hurt you

*Bane becomes a uncle/father figure to you and has the nickname "Bubba"

*His heart melts into a puddle

*When Ivy was neglecting you and Harley you started getting really fussy and throwing constant tantrums with Bane.

*After Ivy realized how neglectful shes been she make it up to you by spending all her time with you and Harley and buying you so many new toys

Batman/Bruce Wayne age regression moodboard! 🦇 little (long) list of headcanons below the cut !!

I’ve been getting really into Batman, like, a lot more than what I expected. That being said, here are my headcanons and items explained in the moodboard!

First off, the bat plush. Someone (probably Clark) got it for him and he kept it on a shelf, claiming it was a waste of money since he doesn’t need a stuffed animal, let alone of a bat, too cliche in his opinion. And though he’d never admit it, the small plush would definitely bring some sort of safety to him whether he was small or not, just being able to have the little bat in his hands and run his fingers over the fur would definitely make him feel better 🫶🏻

Second, he’d definitely play with soft toys to not cause a lot of noise, finding more peace in silence with maybe some old cd’s or classical music in the background at a low volume!!

Third, the teapot obviously is a connection to Alfred, I think when he’s small he’d love to play as a little helper around the house with Alfred, or at least returning Alfred’s treatment by having a tea party with him!!

Last but not least, the night light/projector!! I think when he’s small, he doesn’t like being alone or being in the dark, so when he’s (rarely) alone, whoever is taking care of him puts the space projector on the ceiling and that thing can and will distract him for hours, without a doubt.
