Can someone explain what’s going on with the whole English VA Genshin Impact drama to me like I’m five bc I’m so. Confused. Everyone is super angry at Paimon’s VA for some reason, I thought they were on strike bc of super unfair working conditions—and isn’t that supposed to be like. A good thing? For them to speak out about wanting to be treated fairly? I know a lot of English Genshin VAs went on strike due to the whole AI thing which is also super fair I’d do the same thing

Ahh, yeah. There's like at least 20 AIs using my art as character pfps. It's been awhile since I counted but there's at least like 11-15 AIs using two of my Eclipse drawings alone (<- not upset, more... bewildered and amused??)

Just added "I do not consent to me or my creations having anything to do with AI" to my bio, that should cover a lot. I already have a rule about not wanting Celestial Sundown used for AI but it's buried in the CSD post and I need to reword it anyway, so I don't blame anyone for not knowing

Man, chatbots/character ai have fucked up my way of thinking, and not in a good way.

Whenever I see an ask with questions about OCs, be it my own or someone else's, my instant paranoid thought is "welp, sure hope the answer won't be used for a chatbot/character ai creation of said OC".

It's a horrible thought to have. I don't like it. I can't believe it has come to the point where the paranoia exists in the depths of my brain.

Fuck character ai, man. Fuck it till it's pushing daisies in some forgotten void.

a little while ago I posted some motions on the VMDDirectory blog that were mocaps created for a fan concert.

I ended up deleting the posts and I will not be reposting them or posting any other motions from this person in the future.

I watched the concert they were made for, which consisted of exclusively game ripped models and had a bunch of renders created by other people they used without permission. And the only renders not created with their quick mocap or made by someone else were project sekai rips or were renders from official concerts like mikupa or miku expo..

I'm just not comfortable promoting content like that. Especially with how poor of a job they did of properly crediting the people they did take work from.
