Alexander (Grimm) - Oneshot
Alexander has heard about a lot of outrageous requests, but he never thought heâd be a part of this one.
âYouâd like me to babysit?â
His face displayed confusion.
Whenever Nick Burkhardt showed up, he almost always expected some kind of chaos. Yet this time the situation seemed less like impending catastrophe.
âTrust me if I had someone else I would ask. Weâre about to head on vacation for the next three weeks. I found her and she needs someone who knows about this. Youâre a minister now. Since you have a base here in Portland I figured you were the best bet. Plus the council wants us to cooperate right. Grimms and Wesen. This is the perfect place to start.â
When he decided to rebuild the organization, he didnât really see babysitting as one of the more crucial parts of that.
âI am still confused. What is so special about this woman?â
âOh, sheâs a Grimm. Distant cousin I think.â
He said it so casually and Alexanderâs expression just remained blank. This must have been some type of joke.
âJust so I understand your request, you would like me to babysit a Grimm. A possible relative of yours who no doubt could decapitate me at any time.â
Nick shook his head.
âDonât worry, sheâs more of a lover, not a fighter. Thatâs why I need you to look after her. You donât have to watch her around the clock. Just, keep an eye on her.â
Alexander still didnât look enthusiastic.
âAnyway, thanks again.â
Nick went rushing out the room and Alexander followed, only to be blocked by a woman that was now peering at him curiously. He caught the end of Nickâs jacket as he rushed to the staircase. Alexander growled inwardly.
âBurkhardt.â
He was clearly displeased. His eyes moved back to the very reason for his annoyance.
You blinked, wearing a small smile.
âNice to meet you, Iâm (Y/N) Reinhardt. You must be Alexander.â
He could already feel the migraine forming.
Despite his displeasure with the situation, he did as Nick asked. After all, he had stopped a revolution. The least he could do was do this simple task. Alexander wrote down the address for both his office and home. Handing it to you. Since Rosalee, Monroe and the rest of Nickâs crew were off to vacation, he couldnât exactly ask for a hand. So he gave you his number.
âThis is my main office. If you need anything, youâre free to stop by. I cannot bodyguard you everyday, so I encourage you to avoid placing yourself in situations where you will be a target for Wesen.â
âI wonât have to fight, right? Wesen I mean.â
He thought it was a joke, but you seemed generally concerned at the thought.
âYouâve never fought a wesen before?â
âWhat! Of course not! Why would I go around beating up random people? Do I look like a psycho?â
He had half the mind to tell you that your ancestors did in fact run around decapitating his kind. But from your anxiety of just fighting one, he figured the idea of death might just make you faint. He didnât need the extra work.
âWhere do you work?â
You perked up.
âAt the vet. I love animals. Iâm interning. Iâm hoping one day to open my own clinic.â
The way your face lit up almost made him forget that you were a descendant of trained killers.
âGive me your address. Burkhardt would be disappointed if he returned and Iâd failed at something so simple.â
You nodded, giving him the necessary information.
âSo youâre pretty important huh? Nick said you were some kind of minister. Also this Wesen Council Iâm assuming is filled with just Wesen. What do you guys do exactly? How many Wesen are there in the world? Are there more like you? Does it hurt when you woge? It looks like it hurts.â
With every question he could feel a notch of his patience slip away. Surely if his ancestors could see him now they would be rolling in their graves.
âI have to go. Call me if you have any questions.â
He just walked away and you shrugged, heading back to your day job.
For the first week, nothing spectacular happened. You would stop by the office after you got off your shift and just ask him a long list of questions. Luckily heâd learned to multitask, so he still got his work done. But your presence was still very much a distraction. Especially when you showed up unannounced and he had to deal with..
âA GRIMM!!â
The scream echoed throughout the building and he heard a crash from the hallway. His instinct was to rush to you to explain the situation. Most of the ministers were aware of the union, but many of the employees still had a hard time adjusting. He broke the corner just in time to see you scrambling in his direction.
He intended to lecture you for being careless, but you ran right into his chest, holding onto him desperately. He didnât realize until he looked down that you were crying. It took him a second to gather himself and when he pulled you back, there was a scratch on your cheek, the blood running down. You looked absolutely terrified and he felt anger bubble in his chest when he saw your attacker follow after.
âBenjamin!â
Alexanderâs tone was firm, and you moved behind him when you saw the man whoâd attacked you. He was still woge.
A balam.
He changed back when he heard the call, stopping right in front of Alexander.
âS-Sheâs a Grimm!â
âI am aware. Iâm sure youâve been briefed. If not I insist that you become more acquainted with the policies. Burkhardt and any others associated with him are our allies. Any harm to her will result in unsavory consequences.â Alexanderâs eyes glowed and Benjamin swallowed, taking a step back.
âI-I apologize sir. It wonât happen again.â
âSee that it doesnât.â
Nothing else was said. Benjamin casted a look in your direction before he nodded, turning and walking away. Once his form disappeared, Alexander turned to you fully.
âI informed you that whenever you come you must let me know in advance. Itâs dangerous for you even here. We were once infiltrated by extremists. Iâve been diligent about the individuals within the organization but we canât get reckless.â
You still looked shaken, but you nodded.
âY-Yes. I-Iâm sorry. I should have called.â
You were still holding onto his sleeve and he noticed that your entire body was shaking. He couldnât help but observe how different you were from what he expected. They were always told that Grimms were to be feared. They lacked nothing. They were strong, ambitious, driven and dangerous. Not to ever be taken lightly.
Without compassion.
After meeting Nick, he realized that those previous claims were wrong. But with you, it seemed to instill just that. Above all else, Grimms were still people. Like all of them. Even more so with you. Your knowledge of their world was vague, if even that. He never thought heâd be responsible for protecting the very thing he was taught to fear.
âReinhardt.â
You looked up at him shakily and he felt sympathetic at how scared you truly were. That had obviously been your first aggressive encounter with a Wesen.
âI gave Burkhardt my word, I will protect you.â
Your eyes held a certain type of vulnerability. As you looked at him, he saw it, the trust youâd placed in him. You nodded, and he intended to carry you to clean the cut, but you hugged him again and he froze.
âThank you.â
Your hands were wrapped around him, and he couldnât get his body to move. He just stood there, feeling a bit strange at the warmth that ran through his chest as you held him. Before he realized it, he was returning the embrace.
He didn't dwell on it.
The second week it was much more calm.
You always sent a text before you showed up and he made a habit of meeting you in the lobby to ensure no more scuffles happened. It seemed that after the encounter you became somewhat glued to his side. You still badgered him with questions, but whenever you looked at him, there was a twinkle in your eyes he wasnât fully familiar with.Â
At least not from a Grimm.
âSo youâre Wesen too right? What kind?â
He was filling out a document when you asked the question.
âI am Pflichttreue.â
You straightened in your seat.
âLoyal, dutiful, ambitious.â
The way you listed it off sounded like something you recited from a book. He looked up and you smiled awkwardly.
âSorry. Iâve been reading the books. I got a few from my grandmother along with a lot of other stuff. I always thought they were just artifacts. I guess there was more to it than that.â
Heâd heard of Grimm collections. He could only imagine what some people would do to get their hands on that.
âYou should place those items in a secure place. Some Wesen would kill to obtain or destroy those items."
You smiled.
âDonât worry, they're safe. Nick told me the same thing.â
You half expected him to ask you where these books were, but instead heâd warned you to keep them safe.
âYouâre a pretty nice guy aren't you Alexander. Most people would have just pretended to do this, but youâve been looking out for me. I appreciate it.â
You were fiddling with your sleeve. He caught the action.
âI know by Grimm standards Iâm pretty much a disappointment. Iâve seen Nick and Trubel. They're both strong and fearless. I admire them and I get why they do what they do but I..I still donât get why Wesen and Grimms have to be enemies. Canât we all just get along?â
The question was not one heâd fully considered. If he hadnât met Nick he would still be on the opposite side of things. Grimms were the only beings on earth capable of seeing past the mask. Thatâs why they were dangerous.
Heâd like to say that the Grimms were the villains of the stories, but they werenât completely at fault. There were Wesen out there that were merciless. Some that needed the fear of someone that could stand up to them. No one involved was without blame. You were still new to all that came with your abilities, so he expected such a naive point of view.
âIn this world there is good and evil. It is often hard to distinguish between which side we are on. Are the Grimms right for eradicating Wesen? Are we wrong for living up to our true natures? There is too much to account for. Too much that the world cannot control. All we can truly do is survive.â
From the way your face fell, that clearly wasnât the answer you wanted. At the moment, he couldnât provide much more.
Week three he was the one who stopped by your place of work. He hadnât seen you for three days. Although you texted that you were alright, he needed to verify. Just for a piece of mind. Walking in, he asked to see you. Sitting patiently he waited with some other customers. When you walked out wearing scrubs, he could see your surprise at his visit.
âAlexander?â
âMs. Reinhardt, are you free for lunch, I would like to treat you.â
You looked hesitant, but you still agreed.
âI get a break in ten minutes. Do you mind waiting?â
He shook his head.
âOkay, Iâll be out soon.â
You were heading back and he watched you go. There was something in his gut that twisted at the sight of you disappearing into the other room. He didnât understand why his stomach churned at the idea of you away from him. Maybe it was his duty to the promise he made. He tried not to dwell on it as he took a seat, waiting.
On cue, ten minutes later you were dressed more casually, purse in hand. You smiled at the receptionist as you left for your break. Alexander followed at your side.
The trip to the cafe nearby was quiet. He couldnât read why you seemed less cheery than usual. There was an almost sullen atmosphere around you. Before you could step inside he took your wrist, leading you to the side, out of earshot of others.
âHas something happened?â
You just shook your head.
âNothing happened, everything is fine.â
You managed a smile, but he could see the sadness behind it. He couldnât understand the reason.
âIf that is true, then why are you distant? Why do you seem sad?â
You swallow. It seems you were struggling to keep up the facade you were trying so hard to maintain. Your lips quivered. It finally looked like too much for you to hide.
âD-Do you hate me Alexander?â
He was puzzled.
âWhere is this coming from, I do not understand why you would-â
âDo you hate me!â
This time you were yelling and a woman that passed by stared. He was lost, completely and utterly lost. When he saw the tears begin to form in your eyes, he felt defeated. Why did any personal feelings he had for you matter?
His only job was to watch you until Burkhardt came back. That was all. His like or dislike should not even be a factor yet..watching you so hurt at the idea of him hating you did something to him. He could almost feel your pain.
He took your shoulders gently and you looked up at him.
âI do not hate you.â
It was the most honest heâd been with himself in ages. There was instant relief in your eyes.
âReally..â
Alexander nodded.
âThere is nothing in this world that would make me hate someone as compassionate as you.â
He meant it too. Maybe it was due to how different we were compared to the stories and assumptions that he heard. Possibly the way you looked at him. Like he wasnât some soldier, or an assassin, or even a minister fighting for a world of peace among Wesen. You didnât see those attributes. To you, everyone was just a person. Not the beast that was hidden. But souls that deserved to have everything, regardless of how different they were.
âDo you hate me?â
You shook your head immediately, and he found himself smiling. There was also the aspect of your honesty. How easy it was to read you. How transparent you were with him.
âI am glad.â
For the time being, that felt like enough.
At the end of week four, Nick had returned and expressed his thanks. He was pleased that you were safe and seemed generally more sure of your place given the situation. Alexander knew then that there was really no reason for him to continue to see you. Thatâs why he didnât understand why he was now standing in Rosaleeâs shop, hoping to see you.
âAlexander? Whatâs wrong?â
Nick looked ready for just about any terrible news and Alexander laughed internally at the irony. His reaction had been quite the same when he came in unexpectedly.
Monroe and Rosalee came out of the back room, and when he saw you follow behind with a smile on your face, he felt instant relief. He hadnât seen you for a while since Nick returned and he realized at that moment that heâd gotten used to you coming to his office. Asking him questions. Making observations.
You looked over when you saw him, surprise rushing over your features.
âAlexander, is something wrong?â
He moved to your side, shaking his head. He realized then why he had been having such reactions to you. His focus on his work and need to carry out his duties had left him oblivious to how quickly his feelings for you had started to change.
How easily heâd fallen for you.
âI needed to see you.â
You tilt your head and Nick seems just as curious.
âWhy?â
He just smiled.
âBecause I cannot seem to stop thinking about you Ms. Reinhardt.â
The admission took a minute to sink in, but when it did, heat rushed to your cheeks like the eruption of a volcano. You were blushing and stuttering incoherently and his smile just grew wider. Monroe and Nick looked a bit awkward, and Rosalee just wore a soft smile at the very sweet moment.
âW-Weâll just leave you two alone.â Monroe blurted, taking Rosaleeâs hand. Nick nodded, making a sharp turn following him into the backroom. The double doors closed, but it did nothing to stop the flush on your face.
âI apologize if I am being too forward.â
You shook your head bashfully.
âI-Itâs okay. I appreciate the honesty.â
Your voice was somewhat small. Alexander took a step forward and you could feel the quick increase of your pulse. You seem to truly process just how tall he was compared to you. His stature, his values, those eyes..you were weak.
âI would very much like to see you often, not out of an obligation, but a choice. One I hope that you share.â
You nod, because you wanted nothing more than to see him. Be with him. The fact that he was standing here making such a request meant more to you than heâll ever know.
âI..I want that too..â
You caught the quick flash in his eyes and you swallow. Alexander smirked.
âWould it be too bold of me to make another request?â
You were so distracted by his eyes that you barely processed the question.
âA request..â
It was a mutter.
Alexander nodded, hand lifting as he placed it delicately on your cheek. You all but held your breath when his thumb brushed your lower lip. Before you could think of a response, he leaned in. The softness of his lips felt almost illegal. He shouldnât have tasted so good, smelled so heavenly.
You pulled in a sharp breath through your nose and his hand moved to your waist, pulling you slightly off the ground and flushed to his body. Your fingers flattened against his suit, relishing in the feel of muscle. You always suspected there was something that his neat tailored suits covered up.
Your hands reached up, wrapping around his neck as you returned his kiss with equal amount of passion. Your hands went from feeling to grabbing. Alexander groaned and you moaned yourself when your back knocked into a shelf. A few of the bottles jingled, but neither of you pulled away.
You were pawing at his body, and he was doing quite the same. This time you were the one who pushed and Alexander grinned into the kiss, just as he knocked a bottle to the floor. You were trying to push his suit jacket off his body when Nick and the others walked into the room to find out what the commotion was.
âH-Hey! No sex in the shop!!â Monroe yelled.
Neither of you responded, still kissing feverishly as another bottle hit the floor. Nick winced. Both at the sight of both of you going at it like teenagers and the damage to Rosaleeâs shop. Monroe turned back to Nick.
âYouâre paying for this.â
âWhy me!!â
âBecause youâre the one who did this!âÂ
He pointed to the both of you, still making out shamelessly.
Nick scratched the back of his head.
In hindsight, he made a pretty good cupid.Â

Knockout
Pairing: Dorn(Alexander Ludwig)xBlack Reader
Warnings: Mentions of harassment but fluff other than that!
âBro, if you stare any harder youâre gonna burn holes in her back,â Rafe laughed taking a sip of his drink. âStop being chicken and ask her out already!â
âHey donât be mean! But I do agree though that you should say something,â Kelly sweetly smiled, lightly nudging the gentle giant with her elbow.
âTrust me I want to, but I donât know. I donât want to seem like some creep trying to hit on her.â
âWell you better figure it out, because here she comes,â Rafe states, nodding his head in your direction.
âHey guys! Everything still ok?â With your curly hair pulled up in a ponytail on the top of your head, graphic tee and jean shorts paired with your converse, Dorn thought you were the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
So far, every time him and his friends/partners came to Oasis, they had you as their waitress, and each time he felt his heart beat quicken as soon as you walked up to the table. Always cheery with a warm smile on your face, your warmth instantly brought a smile to his face as well.
There was no denying that he was fully smitten, and his friends hoped and wished he would do something already.
âYea weâre good! I see itâs a busy night tonight,â Kelly answered.
âYea with there being a basketball and football game tonight everybodyâs come out, which has its high and low points,â you softly laugh before directing your attention to Dorn. âWhile Iâm here, do you want me to top off your drink?â
âNo itâs ok I donât want your top off-No! I mean you donât have to top me off! I swear thatâs what I meant Iâm so sorry!â
âItâs ok! Trust me Iâve heard worse. Well if you need anything just wave me over or yell for me,â you smile before visiting your other tables.
âSmooth Dorn,â Rafe laughs before being smacked in the arm by Kelly, who was trying her best not to laugh but failing. Feeling heat rise to his cheeks, he lays his head on the table feeling like the dumbest man in all of Miami.
âShe definitely thinks Iâm weird now.â
âI doubt that. It was a simple mix up of words it happens to everyone Dorn, donât beat yourself up about it. Plus she even said itâs ok!,â Kelly smiled patting him on the back.
âYea donât beat yourself up man, hey want to know whatâll make you feel better? More drinks!,â Rafe suggests holding up his empty glass.
âOh no please donât make her come back over here yet.â
âOk then, you can go get us 3 beers which is perfect timing since sheâs at the bar now so hop to it!â Handing their empty glasses to him while flashing innocent smiles, Dorn glares at the two before reluctantly standing up to retrieve their drinks.
âJust be cool and everything will be fine,â he thought to himself as he arrived at the bar, trying his best to relax.
âOh did you guys call me over? Sorry about the wait, I was trying to get receipts ready for a couple tables,â you answer, pushing your thin glasses up from sliding on your nose.
âNo youâre fine! Since you were already up here I thought itâd be better to get refills now so you donât have to go back and forth.â
âOh thatâs sweet of you to think that, but itâs ok itâs part of the job,â you smile taking the glasses from him to fill.
âThereâs my favorite waitress!!,â an older, very drunk man businessman clad in his he suit greets standing next to Dorn. âYouâre looking beautiful as always!â
âThanks,â you quickly smile, focusing back on the three drinks. Although you were smiling, Dorn could sense it wasnât your typical warm and friendly one, but one out of discomfort causing his protective instincts to kick in.
âWhat no hug today?â The man slurs reaching out to touch your hand but not succeeding from your quick yet smooth movements out of his reach.
âHere Iâll bring your drinks to the table,â you smile to Dorn making your way from behind the bar. He wouldâve protested and said that he could carry them, but having a feeling that you wanted to get away from the drunk at the bar he let you lead the way.
âAww donât be like that! Here let me make it up to you!â Stumbling up to you and grabbing your waist, Dorn quickly grabs the man by his arm sitting him back down in his barstool.
âListen man relax, just leave her alone ok?â
âWhy donât we wait for her to tell me, which Iâm sure wonât happen until after weâve had a little fun,â he winks in your direction, smugly laughing.
Within the blink of an eye, the man was pinned face down on the bar with Dorn pressing his muscular arm into his neck. Glass falling from the counter and shattering causing everyone to look where the commotion was coming from.
âInstead, how about you leave her alone or your face gets permanently etched into this bar from how hard Iâll smash it in?! Howâs that sound?â
âAlright both of you out! Now!,â your boss, Ricky yells walking up to the three of you.
âI ainât do nothing! Itâs Mr. Big Guns over here with the problem!,â the man shouts as Dorn lets him up, pushing him but not making the wall of a man move.
âNow you wouldnât want to go to jail for assaulting an officer would you sir?,â Rafe asks flashing his badge along with Kelly and Dorn doing the same.
âRicky this one was just helping me out of a situation caused by drunken fury over here,â you explain. âIf anyone needs to get kicked out itâs him.â
âYou heard the lady, out!,â Ricky yells at the drunk before leading him outside. Everyone returning to what they were doing and enjoying their nights, you busied yourself cleaning up the broken glass on the ground.
âHere let me help. Sorry about that I didnât mean for stuff to get broken,â Dorn softly smiles holding the dust pan for you as you sweep.
âThanks and you donât have to apologize. You helped get that perv off my back and I really appreciate it, um..â
âDorn.â
âDorn. Like I said I really appreciate what you did for me back there,â you smile, lightly touching his arm. Although small, feeling your skin against his made his whole body light up as if he was the star on top of a Christmas tree.
He honestly never wanted you to let go, but when you did the feeling lingered making him instinctively touch the same spot himself.
âItâs no problem. I mean I am a cop after all, Iâm supposed to protect and serve,â he smiles brushing off his shoulder and making you giggle.
Standing up, you finally notice how he truly towers over you, making you feel small. Not in the intimidating way though, but that you felt protected and just wanted him by your side wherever you went.
âWell um I guess I better get back to my friends,â he speaks, running a hand through his blonde hair. âIâm sure theyâll want to leave soon, but if you need anything while weâre here you can always come get me or one of us.â
âYea I uh better get back to work, and thanks Iâll keep that in mind.â Sharing a small wave with each other, you turn to go back behind the bar, but not before taking a slight risk.
âActually Dorn...I was wondering if maybe you wouldnât mind staying a bit longer? I mean not that I donât feel safe but itâs just that guy-,â
âSay no more, if you want me to stay Iâll stay.â
âGreat! I mean um great. You can sit at the bar if you want or stay at the table itâs up to you. Also I only have about 3 more hours if thatâs ok.â
âThereâs no rush take all the time you need. Just let me go tell them where Iâll be.â
Walking to the table, Dorn felt like he had just won the lottery and the final showcase on the Price is Right. A bigger smile had never appeared on his face than the one across his lips now.
âI was about to ask were you ok, but from that look I see youâre doing very well!,â Kelly smirks.
âYou got the digits didnât you?!,â Rafe asks, smirk also spread across his face.
âNo I didnât, but I did get asked to hang back until she gets off work so have a good night guys and see you at work tomorrow!,â he smiles picking up his jacket and drink before going back to the bar where you were standing.
âAww look at them, theyâre so cute!,â Kelly gushes propping her head against her hand.
âYea they do. Ohh I wonder if they date can we get free drinks?!,â Rafe asks before being smacked in the arm again by Kelly.

There was a point when you just wanted to give up. Despite all the horror of realizing that vampires were real and they had kiddnaped you, you had never given up fighting. There were other girls with you. Some let themself got bitten by these monsters, others had been taken from their cells and never came back. You always fought back, no matter what they tried. You never gave in, even when it meant that they kicked back.
But even your power started to fade eventually. You were only human after all and you knew you would soon die or would be brought to the same place as the other girls. When almost all your hope was gone you heard fighting noises. Maybe you were already dead or just hallucinating the tall guy. Who did fought with a bow and arrow nowadays? Whatever it was, he was fast, killing the vampires before they could even reach him. You were sure you were dreaming. This all couldnât end well for you. After all, it was a living nightmare. Soon all the vampires were dead and the guy looked at you. You flinched when he came closer and wanted to touch you but you feared to really wake up, being alone again, surrounded by the vampires.
âItâs okay. You are safe now.â âWho are you?â, you gave back with a shaking voice. âAn Angel?â He clearly looked like one. Like a fighting, raging one who was here to protect you. He smiled softly. âNot really.â His hand lowering softly on your own. He didnât disappear. He really was here. âIâm Alec. Come on. Iâm taking you out of here.âÂ

Alexander (Grimm) - Extra
âHere you go.â
Placing the documents on the table, you stood in the main room with the other ministers. Alexander caught your eye and you sent him a proud smile. You looked so happy to do such a minor task and he couldnât help but find it cute. Some of the other ministers were wearing similar smiles.
âAlexander, if your assistant continues to be this endearing one of us may very well steal her.â Benedict jokes.
Laughter erupted in the room as you blushed at the words. Most of his colleagues were aware of your relationship, as well as your identity. It had taken a while for everyone to adjust, given the history of your ancestors you knew it wouldnât be immediate. But, slowly everyone seemed to be getting more comfortable. You figured it was a little easier since you were more mellow than what they would have expected.
âIâm inclined to agree that she is quite irresistible.â
Your face seemed to turn a few shades darker as you excused yourself.
More than anything he appreciated it. You had asked to help more around the office. You wanted to learn more about his world, as well as your own. So after your shifts at the clinic you were eager to meet him. He had to admit that it was nice. He had a lot more to look forward to when he worked.
Once the meeting was over he returned to his office. Upon entry he caught you organizing some of the folders on his desk. The pile was on a tray, ordered alphabetical from the looks of it. You perked up the second you saw him.
âAlexander, I just got done with this stack.â You gestured to it with a happy smile and he mentally thanked whatever power had blessed him with such a beautiful thing as your companionship. More often than not he had to deal with the tough parts that came with the Wesen world, but seeing your face so bright and full of hope, it made him believe that anything was possible. His relationship with you was enough proof of that.
âI appreciate the assistance.â He closed the door, briefcase in hand as he placed it on the desk and walked around to take a seat. He assumed you would do the same, but you were rocking on your heels in your spot. Looking up he raised a brow.
âIs something the matter?â
He saw your cheeks tint red as you looked down at your hands that you were now fidgeting with.
âS-Since Iâve been working so well I was..hoping to get a reward..â
From your shy words he had a feeling he knew exactly what you were insinuating. His lips stretched into a smirk.
âOh, is that so?â
You nodded, still refusing to look directly at him. After your little make out session at Rosaleeâs shop it was funny that you were still this bashful.
âVery well, Iâll give you a reward. Come here.â He turned his chair and you shuffled over immediately as he held out his arms. In a matter of seconds you were in his lap and he grinned, running a hand through your hair. You released a content sigh. He had a feeling this is what you were getting at.
âThat feels nice..â You mutter. You always seemed to crave the feel of his fingers in your hair.
âIâm glad youâre satisfied.â
It was clear that you were, but he couldnât help but be a bit mischievous. He pressed a kiss just to the back of your neck and smiled when he felt your pulse increase. His hand moved lower, one settling on your stomach and other pushing your hair to the side so he could plant as many kisses to your skin as he wanted.Â
Your sigh had changed into an appreciative hum and he didnât fully expect it when you turned your body slightly. You reached for him and he was a bit surprised when you pressed a hungry kiss to his lips. He cupped your cheek, leaning in as he returned it.
He saw no harm in indulging. He was on break after all.
Work carried on as usual.
Small steps had been taken to protect the peace. The following day he felt a bit more energized. Partly because he knew he would see you later in the afternoon and partly because all the work to promote an alliance with Grimms and Wesen was going much better than expected.
Taking a seat at the table, he started laying out plans as he pulled opinions from the others around. For the most part it was productive, except a member representing a prominent council in the south region was being a bit of a bigot. Alexander knew that not every Wesen would be so willing to accept working with Grimms, but every word spoken felt like a jab and he was starting to lose his patience. Benedict had sent him a look with a pat on his shoulder for support.
âNext we will be hosting tea parties and fraternizing with the Grimms. â The manâs boisterous laughter earned none in return.
Alexanderâs eyes were glowing in agitation and Benedict spoke up to maintain the peace.
âThat is enough Mr. Visser. Weâve already informed you of this alliance. Our main priority is world peace. If we remain small minded are we not the same as those of Black Claw? The Grimm has assisted us on more than one occasion. The scandal when those remains were found and Detective Burkhardt not only stopped the desecration but helped Alexander properly laid those to rest. Then again in Portland when he stopped the uproar of what would have been the worldâs most devastating revolution. How much more evidence do you need to see that the Grimm is on our side?â
Visser scoffed.
âYou all are so easily impressed. That Grimm did what he had to in his own interest.â
Alexander stood abruptly.
âI will not listen to any more of your slander. If you refuse to work with us then we will have nothing to do with your branch.â
Visser just grinned.
âI suppose I should not be surprised since you are bedding a Grimm.â
Visserâs taunt made Alexander woge and Benedict rushed to grab his shoulder.
âAlex, calm down, it is clear he is just trying to get a rise out of you.â
Alexander still looked dangerously angry. That expression seemed to change when they heard the door open. You walked in with a tray of drinks and a happy smile. That smile dropped when you saw what appeared to be an argument. Alexanderâs state caused worry.
Visserâs eyes shifted in your direction, a bit startled when he saw the darkness encompass your irises.
âIt is true..â
Visser suddenly woge and when he changed and lounged for you, Alexander moved to protect. Visserâs claws were extended and when he struck, the contents of your tray dropped as you used it clumsily as a defense. Gasps echoed throughout the room and you stumbled back unto your back, staring up in fear as another attack was about to be delivered. Before he could swing, Alexander had grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and threw him all the way across the room.
Visserâs back connected with the wall on the opposite side of the room, right before he crashed to the ground with a yell of pain. He rolled over, changing back and Alexander roared, claws still drawn. Heâd barely managed to collect himself when he turned to you. Eyes still glowing yellow, he looked down at your form that was cowering on the ground. You were terrified and for a moment he couldnât tell if it was because of Visser or him.
His expression evened out into a more calm manner and a part of him thought you would take off and run, but youâd jumped to your feet and dove right into his arms. He was stunned for good reason. He knew how you felt about violence. If anything he would have understood your fear, but you were holding him like your life depended on it. With a few slow breaths, he steadied his heart rate, turning his head as he changed back, fur retracting into his skin. Now that he was no longer baring teeth and showing claws, he slowly wrapped his arms around you, relieved.
The entire situation was a bit messy. Thankfully another member of the south region had personally reached out and apologized for Visserâs behavior. Benedict had opted to handle the situation. It was clear that after the day you both had, retiring for the remainder of the evening was the best choice.
You were seated on Alexanderâs couch as he brought a blanket and draped it over your legs. You took it with a small thanks and he worked up a small smile. He wasnât really sure how to look you in the eyes now. It was silly, he knew that, but for an instant he felt what it would have been like if your horrified gaze was indeed directly at him. With a sigh he brushed it to the back of his mind.
âI will put on some tea.â
He moved to step away.
âIâm not afraid of you.â
Those words caused him to freeze in place.
âI might be naive but Iâm not stupid. Since we got back you havenât so much as looked at me.â
He should have known that you would see through it. When he felt your hand grasp his wrist softly he felt that tightness in his chest. The entire time heâd been the one scared.
âLook at me Alexander.â
His heart felt heavy, but he turned slowly, looking at you. You greeted him with nothing but a smile.
âYou protected me, youâve always protected me. I know you and I trust you. You would never hurt me.â
Those soft assurances, thatâs all it took. In a matter of seconds he was right next to you, pulling you into his arms. You giggled as he sat down, practically squishing you into his broad chest.Â
The sound provided the relief he needed and the tenseness in his body just fell away as he leaned back on the couch with you in his arms. You ran your hand down his arm soothingly as you cuddled into his chest.
âIâm usually against violence but it was kind of hot the way you threw that guy across the room.â
The statement made him look down and you were blushing. Alexander couldnât help himself, he kissed you, relishing in the way you responded eagerly.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 1
âI hope there is a reason for this Burkhardt.â
Although the friction between them had been mended when Alexander took over and rebuilt the organization, heâd learned that good news rarely came with this group. Especially since he was asked to come down from the Netherlands.
âYou said you needed help with your case. A rogue wesen trying to start up the whole black claw situation. Since weâd all like to avoid that, I called in a personal favor. The timing was great since she recently joined our department as a consultant.â Nick explained.
Standing in the empty interrogation room with Sean, Hank and Nick, Alexander waited for an explanation. The door opened before anything else could be said and his eyes moved to the woman. You nodded at Nick.
âWu told me I could find you here. Just tell me where you need me.â You spoke.
Alexander thought it was a joke.
âReally, my men ran through numerous interrogation tactics and you think this woman can crack him?âÂ
His voice was overly condescending, but you tried not to take it personally.
Nick stepped forward.
âSheâs one of us, she knows everything and sheâs good.â
You appreciated Nickâs words, but Alexander still didnât look very convinced.
âItâs not surprising that brute force would not work. These men fight for a cause. Itâs rooted in their personal values, their beliefs. Iâm sure I donât have to explain how dangerous that is?â
Alexander narrowed his eyes.
âAnd you believe that you can break a man that is unbreakable? You have quite the ego.â
âNo one person or thing is unbreakable. With the right tools you can take apart anything.â
âHow naive.â He counters.
You move closer, looking him over. He just watches, stance firm.
âYour upbringing was probably tough, from your posture someone would guess military or special forces, but youâre way too prim for that. You lost a parent, possibly at a young age. When you joined the organization, you were impressionable. You saw traits that were similar to what your father displayed, so you had no problem devoting your life to it.â
Thereâs a clear adjustment in his posture. His eyes waver for a moment and you just smile, continuing your assessment.
âNo ring, so youâre unattached. From the lack of color in your attire I would say youâve been alone for a while. Your job requires someone willing to adapt to your lifestyle, youâd also need someone you can trust wholeheartedly, especially since a lot of your work requires espionage tasks. Am I warm?â
If he didnât believe before, he sure does now.
âIâd appreciate it if you didnât insult my skills before you had a chance to see them. Men like you are childâs play. Predictable. Iâll have a better challenge with our criminal.â You turn from Alexander, looking at Nick.
âWhich room is he in?â
âInterrogation three.â
You nod.
âIâll have your confession in five minutes.âÂ
You move to the door without another word. When it closes, Alexander just gapes.
âWho..was that?â
Nick just gives a smile.
â(Y/N), (Y/N) Jane.â
He made a mental note to do a thorough background check.
Alexander assumed that youâd done your research, it was the only thing that made sense. But when five minutes rolled around, you walked out the interrogation room and they all caught a glimpse of their suspect with his head on the table as he wept. You were holding the pad in your hands with all the necessary information. You walked right up to Nickâs desk, holding it out.
âWe have all the names of the men heâs been in contact with. They have another attack planned, date and time are attached along with the millionaire whoâs been sponsoring their endeavors.â
Nick was wearing a wide smile and Hank gave you a pat on the shoulder.
âGood work psychic.â
You just laugh.
âI keep telling you Iâm not psychic.â
Alexander was still peering at you curiously.
âIf not psychic then what, you must be a witch.â
There was a subtle accusation in his voice.
âIâm not a Hexenbeist Alexander, itâs all about observation. You should try it rather than judging people just from their appearance. By the way, I wouldnât recommend eating that chocolate bar, the machine has been down for ages. Who knows how old that candy is.â
You held out your hand, and he just gaped at the five dollar bill heâd left in his pocket specifically for the treat.
Heading back to the couch at the far end, you laid down. Both Nick and Hank were laughing at the bewildered expression on Alexanderâs face.
âI think you pissed her off. " Hank said.
âGood luck.â Nick added.
Alexander realized at that moment that he would need more than luck.Â
Especially dealing with you.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 34
youtube
Nick seemed pretty proud of himself after.Â
All you could do was laugh. He realized how miserable you were without Alexander, so obviously he took matters into his own hands. With a pat on the shoulder, heâd bid goodbye as Alexander took you home. Heâd kept one hand on the wheel and the other interlocked with your hand.
It was sweet.
When you finally made it home, he encouraged you to have a shower while he did the same. Heâd just gotten back from a flight overseas, so it was the least that you could do.
âWhen youâre out of the shower Iâll make you a cup of tea.â
You smiled, leaving a kiss on his cheek as you nodded gratefully, heading for your bedroom as Alexander made it to the guest room.
The second the water touched your skin, your mind felt like it had drifted away. Running through all that happened. You hadnât realized how long youâd been in there until you heard his call.
â(Y/N).â
The door opens slowly and you pause when he steps through. Youâre still in your towel and he looks a bit surprised.
âI apologize, you were in there for a while. â
Heâd obviously gotten a bit worried. From his change in attire and slightly damp hair, itâs clear heâd gotten out of the shower not too long ago as well. You feel sort of like a stranger in your own home. Whenever Alexander came, he usually spent the night in your room. But tonight heâll be staying in the guest room. You know itâs just to ensure that youâre comfortable.
âSorry, I guess I kind of drifted off in there.â
âI understand, if you need anything please let me know.â
He turns to leave and you take a step.
âYou.â
He pauses.
âPardon?â
You grip at the front of your towel.
âI..I need you.â
The recognition slowly flashes across his eyes, then something else completely. You donât really process him moving until heâs right in front of you. He doesnât seem to care that youâre still dripping wet and itâs starting to seep into his clothing. His lips are insistent and you hold on, panting with every hurried kiss.
You start grabbing at his t-shirt, hand slipping under the fabric. The warmth of skin and muscle is like heaven. Alexander pulls back and youâre left almost gasping at how labored your breathing is.
He pulls his shirt right over his head. All you can do is stare. Youâve never seen him without a shirt on. Before he had been scared for obvious reasons. But now he looks sure, ready and you feel that pleasant twist in your gut. His pants meet the same fate, and when heâs free of all his garments, you swallow. The subtle scent of body wash still lingers in the air. Yours and his.
This time when he approaches, itâs much slower. Your breathing is a bit shallow, and his hands move to your arms. He glides the back of his palms down your arms, relishing in the heat your body gives off. When his hands trail back up, it moves to the knot of your towel. He pulls it out so carefully, dropping it on the floor.
Youâre bare.
He leans down, another soft kiss as he backs you up. You take careful steps back. When you feel the bottom of the mattress against your calf, he guides you down softly. Your body sinks into the mattress, and just like that, it feels like you both can no longer wait. This kiss is much deeper, more demanding. You hold him to your body, clouded by the feel of him pressed so tightly against you. No clothes to separate.
No barriers.
No fear.
You donât truly process it when he parts your legs. Not until his member brushes against you. You pull back from the kiss with a gasp, and he heaves out a breath almost begging.
âAre you..okay?â
You nod, chest rising quickly. Youâre not in better shape than he is. He presses his forehead to your own, and your grip tightens when he lifts his hips and slowly eases himself into you. It takes your breath away, the size of him, the anticipation that this is finally happening. Alexander takes in your shallow breaths that seem to mirror his own.
Both of you have been dying for this moment. It takes a while, but when heâs fully inside you, neither of you really move. Your breathing is shaky and you can feel Alexanderâs heart thumping harshly against his chest. He growls, then turns his head. His palm is clenched at the side of your head. It opens and closes a few times. He still seems to be struggling to get a grip.
âIâm..sorry..â
His voice is unsteady and you reach up, taking his face into your hands. He finally looks at you and you catch the spark behind those usually blue hues. Heâs fighting to maintain control.
âYouâre okay, everything is okay, you wonât hurt me.â
You both have been battling similar fears.
He nods, and when he woges, you canât help but smile. The feel of fur tickles. You laugh despite yourself. Alexander turns his head, a bit embarrassed. You wrap your hands around his neck and when you lift your hips, he staggers. He loses his balance and you grin, switching your positions. Your hips are now straddling him as you stare from above. Alexander changes back, and he gapes as you take his wrists, pinning them to the bed with a smirk.
âMaybe I should take charge.â
He doesnât get a word in, you rock your hips and the depth as well as the action has him groaning, head falling back against the pillow. You bite down on your lip, trying your best to prolong the pleasure for as long as you possibly can. If heâs feeling nearly as good as you are, you wonât be able to keep this up for very long.
Your body moves to a slow rhythm as your hands shift from his wrists to his stomach. You need to steady yourself and his taunt muscles provide exactly what you need. You lift your hips to the point that heâs almost out, then you slowly slide back down. Alexander moans this time, his hand immediately moving to your hip, almost like heâs beginning you not to stop.
You wouldnât dream of it. Your actions are steady, with each movement you can see the change in his expressions. He looks so beautiful beneath you, begging for your caress, for you. It catches you a bit of guard when he straightens. The change in position makes you fumble and he grabs your waist to help you as he presses you into the mattress. One deep thrust and youâre the one losing all sense of reason.
You gasp, because he seems to have collected himself long enough to taunt you the same way you had been doing to him from above. You need to find something to ground yourself.
You clutch at his lower back, moaning every time his hips push forward. His back is so broad and each thrust triggers a new needy sound. You feel lightheaded, almost delirious.
âA-Alex!!â
Your face is slightly buried in his shoulder as he leaves kisses wherever he can reach. Your bodies move in unison and when you feel your release draw near, you almost cry. It feels so good. Youâre convinced that youâll lose your mind. You hold on, and he helps you get there with a desperate cry.
Your body shakes with the strength of your release, and he seems to cave shortly after. You were both trying to hold out for the other. Alexander groans into your ear and you both stay wrapped in each otherâs arms until the initial wave finally dissipates. Once youâre able to catch your breath, he drops right at the side of you.
It takes a minute or two for either or you to say a word. When you gather your thoughts, you both turn to each other. You share a smile. He pulls you closer and you laugh, slightly bashful.
âThat was amazing.â
Alexander leaves a kiss on the top of your head.
âI am inclined to agree.â
You pull back to look at him. He turns, and your hand reaches up, tracing the delicate shape on his lips, the bridge of his nose, and the strength of his jaw. You canât seem to get over how lucky you are.
âI love you.â
âI love you.â
You both say it at the same time, and youâre smiling again.
Youâre blessed, thereâs no doubt about that.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 28
Seated at the back of an ambulance, you just look on at the many vehicles now parked in Evelyn's driveway.Â
They were tending to your bruises. Alexander had tried to approach you after the ordeal, but you refused to let him near.
You were scared, and he didnât understand why, but he didnât push. He had no idea what you endured while she held you. Those impressive reflexes were clear evidence that something changed.
Nick and Hank were speaking with the officers. Every now and then you caught the subtle look Nick sent, like he was checking, waiting for something to go wrong. You clutched the blanket to your body tighter.
âWe need to take you to the hospital.â The medic explained.
You shook your head.
âIâm not going.â
He placed a hand on your shoulder with a sympathetic smile.
âI understand it might be scary, but we need to do a-â
âI SAID IâM NOT GOING!â
You jumped to your feet and he backed up, raising his hands.
Nick rushed over, so did Alexander.
âWhatâs wrong?â
Your glare was still fixated on the man.
âSheâs refusing treatment.â The medic explained.
âIâm not going to the hospital.â You repeated. Nick just placed a hand on the man's shoulder.
âIâve got her, thank you.â
He seemed reluctant to leave, but he finally did. The minute he was gone, your eyes turned to Nick.
âIâm not going to some hospital to be poked and prodded.â
â(Y/N), we have to find out what she did to you. She could have given you something poisonous. We need to make sure.â
You already knew, but how could you tell them?
How could you tell Alexander.
âThe Spice Shop, Ms. Calvert can help you there. Itâs safe.â Alexander offers. Heâs standing closer, but he doesnât touch you because he sees how defensively youâre standing. You look like youâll run at any moment. You know he just wants to help. They both do. Swallowing, your shoulders sag.
âOkay.â You speak softly.
You donât have much of a choice. Theyâre worried and if you put any more distance, itâll only make the situation worse. Nick looked more at ease, and you finally sat back down, mentally preparing for the inevitable.
~
Monroe has never been subtle. Youâre not sure what Nick told him, but he must have said something because he keeps sending you those looks. Like youâre a grenade waiting to go off.
âMonroe.â
He jumps at your voice, then rubs that back of his neck.
âSorry, sorry. Iâm just a little anxious. What did she do to you?â
You donât say a word, but from the looks around the room, they are all wondering the same. Rosalee has laid out a few herbs.
âFor now letâs just assume youâve been infected with some foreign bacteria. These are medicinal. Theyâll negate any potential threats. Once you explain her process, we can start working on an actual cure.
âThereâs no cure.â
Your words sound definite. Nick understands why youâre weary.
âRight now we canât make any assumptions. We donât even know what she did. For all we know nothing happened.â
âIt did.â
They look up at your words.
âWhen I was there she said that she had blood from warriors. She kept going on about detectives and skills and power. I didnât understand what her end game was, not at first but I figured it out. She didnât kill those people for nothing. She was trying to make a weapon. Thatâs why we didnât find any evidence. Everything she did was linked to a spell. Evelyn was a Hexenbeist who was trying to make her own personal bodyguard. Thereâs only one thing she could have been trying to do. If not a wesen, then there is only one common denominator between the normal and the supernatural.â
Your eyes land on Nick and they stare. He doesnât get it, not at first, but then realization hits.
âA GrimmâŠ.â Alexander mutters.
You nod, eyes sullen.
âI think she..turned me into a Grimm.â
If they were ready for anything, it certainly wasnât that.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 26
The cold startled you awake.Â
Your first instinct is to run, but the ropes at your wrists and ankles make that impossible. Your eyes dart around the room for something, anything.
Youâre in a shop, or maybe just an old fashioned home. The decor and layout resembles Rosaleeâs spice shop. Not that youâre surprised. Sheâs a Hexenbiest. Your eyes drift to your clothing. Sheâs basically stripped you. Youâre in nothing but your underwear. Whatever sick ritual she has in store, it canât be good.
âNo use, you canât mentalize your way out of this, although I always like a challenge.â She walks into the light of the room. You feel frustrated that it has taken you so long to realize her plan.
Gritting your teeth, you lean back. You need to think fast.
âDonât worry. Iâm not going to kill you if thatâs what youâre thinking. Iâm Evelyn by the way. â She holds out a hand, then laughs.
âOh, how rude of me.â
She lowers her hand and you gulp. You donât like anything about this situation. Thereâs no sign of fear or even worry in her eyes. She must know the police will be looking for her, but she doesnât seem bothered. Given what sheâd done in the shop, you understand.
âWhy are you doing this?â
âIâm merely trying to ensure my future safety. Iâm sure youâre aware of that little sad attempt at a revolution those wesen instigated. As misguided and naive as they were, they had resources, real power. In the event that they do try again, I need to be secure.â
âBy killing innocent people!!â
She just smiles.
âBy creating my own little safety net. The deaths of those people were unfortunate. How else was I supposed to get your attention?â
You canât believe this, she killed them as some sick game. You lower your head.
âYou shouldnât feel sorry, I assure you that youâll enjoy working under me.â
She moves closer, kneeling in front of you.
âYouâre special, especially by Kehrseite standards. Your intellect is remarkable. The ability of sight if you will. Seeing what others canât. That is what I need.â
You have very little idea of what sheâs talking about, or what you could possibly have that would be of any importance to her.
âShall we get started?â Evelyn straightens and when she moves over to the table and picks up a jar filled with what looks like blood, you panic. She turns to you with a devious smile. Her steps are slow and you start struggling.
âS-Stop, get the hell away from me!!â
She doesnât even react to your yells. When she lifts the bottle and pours the contents over your head you clench your eyes shut and try to hold in any cries that threaten to spill.
The liquid all over your skin. You know you shouldnât show any kind of fear, but itâs impossible. The scent of iron is hard to ignore. You still refuse to open your eyes. The blood is no longer falling onto your scalp, so itâs safe to assume that she emptied it all on you.
âInnerhalb.â
One single word and your body jerks forward. You scream, because your skin feels as though itâs on fire. She just laughs, as your yells fill the room.
~
âWhy are we not out there looking for her!!â
Alexanderâs yell is heard throughout the precinct.
Even behind the doors of Renardâs office, the commotion was audible to those outside.
âListen to me, having a breakdown right now wonât help her.â Nick states.
âDo not tell me how to feel Grimm! She was taken right in front of us. THAT HEXENBIEST TOOK THE WOMAN THAT I LOVE!!â
He woged and Renard did as well.
âCalm down or weâll do it for you.â Renard warned.
Alexanderâs teeth were still bared, but he took a couple heavy breaths before he changed back. He took a step back, trying to clear his head. He knew it was stupid to take it out on the people that were trying to get you back, but he felt helpless.
All he seemed to picture was that dead look in your eyes as you walked out the door, possibly out of his life forever. You could be anywhere. The thought of never seeing you again is terrifying to him.
âI..apologize..â
He pressed a hand to the wall and Renard changed back. They all studied the broken expression he wore as he turned away. They were about to address the matter, but Hank walked into the room and everyoneâs focus changed. He was holding a duffle bag.
âYou got it.â Nick asks.
Hank nods.
âGot a bit of everything like you said. The bitch wonât know what hit her. â
Nick had instructed him to go and grab some much needed weapons for the trip.
âNick, do you think we should..â
Nick shook his head at what Hank was about to suggest.
âWe try it this way first. If it comes down to it, then we use the staff.â
After the encounter on the other side, he felt it necessary to hold back using the weapon. Its powers were still unknown to him and he didnât want to tip the boat by accidentally releasing or drawing in something worse. Heâd faced Hexenbiests before. This woman was powerful, no doubt, but not undefeatable.
âThis time weâll be ready. Everyone clear on the plan.â
âApprehend a psychopath witch and try not to get killed, yeah, I think we got it.â Wu comments.
âGreat, letâs go.â Nick instructs.
No more instruction is needed.
The door opened a second time and Wu was holding a photocopy.
âEvelyn Chambers. I have a current address.â
Nick took the paper, scanning over the information. Once he was finished he looked up.
âDoes anyone else think this is too easy?â
Renard raised a brow.
âWhat are you suggesting?â
âHeâs saying it might be a trap. She didnât try to hide her face and she lives in Portland. She must know that weâre going to find her.â Hank explains.
Alexander's eyes hold desperation.
âIf there is a chance that she is still here, then we have to go.â
Nick was thinking the same thing.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 25
âThat case really has you stumped huh.â Monroe commented.
Researching had gone a bit late, so you all were gathered in the spice shop having a meal. Rosalee and Monroe had offered to host dinner since it was clear you werenât going to stop anytime soon. Alexander had stopped by at some point trying to get you away from the files.
âI believe she doesnât like unsolved mysteries.â Alexander imputed, having a sip of his wine.
Monroe looked around the room.
âYou know, this is crazy. All of us here like this.â
Alexander had to agree. The last thing he expected was to be having dinner so casually with a Grimm.
âI prefer this over us trying to kill each other.â Nick says.
âI second that.â Hank agrees.
You send them a small smile, right before youâre diving back into your work. Youâre situated on a separate table, standing over each individual file. Youâve studied all the evidence. Family members, potential motive, drive, anything but you still feel like youâre missing something big. Itâs right in front of you. You can feel it.
â(Y/N) please have something to eat.â
You just nod at Alexander.
âI will as soon as I figure this out.â You reply.
âIf you donât eat then Iâll have no choice but to take drastic measures. No goodnight kiss.â the threat makes you look over immediately.
âWhat the- thatâs unfair!â
Alexander just smirks.
âFine.â
You leave the documents as you move over. They expect you to take a seat at his side, but you plant yourself in his lap with a smile. He grins when you place your hands around his neck and press a kiss to his lips.
âCome on, no kissing at the table. I don't want to see that!â Nick complains. You pull back with a laugh.
âQuit being a prude. Youâre the ones who insisted that I come and eat. Iâm here, letâs eat.â
Rosalee passes you one of the plastic plates. Youâre about to dig in but your phone rings. They all groan when you turn back to the table.
âCalm down, Iâm just going to grab the phone.â
You hop off Alexander, moving towards the table to get it. You smile at the exaggerated noises they make from behind. When you get to the table, you reach for the phone that has stopped ringing. Itâs a missed call from a friend.Â
Your intention is to send a text and just head back, but you pause when you notice something. The angle of the files has you reaching out. You swallow as you adjust them one right behind the other. The word that each of their first names spell out is like a gut punch.
Jessie Clement, Anthony Fledger, Neil Jansen and Ellis Phills.
âJaneâŠ"
Itâs your last name.
The stack of evidence seems to all align in your head and you drop your phone at the realization. Alexander turns at the sound, looking over.
â(Y/N), is everything alright?â
Your shaky eyes move to your fallen phone and the screen lights up displaying the time and date.
June 25th, 9:56pm.
âNICK GET YOUR GUN NOW!!â
You scream startles them all, and you try to make a sprint, but your body is forced against the wall by an invisible force and now they're all on their feet. Alexander, Monroe and Rosalee woge out of instinct. Nick had intended to do as you instructed, but no one was offered a chance to react. Rosalee and Monroe are slammed into the opposite wall. Nick and Hankâs body goes flying over the table and Alexander is lifted into the air.
You grunt, trying to catch a glimpse, but itâs painful. The steps of someone walking in is startling.
Itâs a woman.
Brown hair, green eyes.Â
A terribly malicious smile.
âI knew you would figure it out. Youâre just what Iâm looking for, little detective.âÂ
Her tone is somewhat of a taunt. It takes you a moment to realize that both Nick and Hank are unconscious. Nothing about this situation looks good. Thereâs only one option here, because sheâs already killed four innocent people as some sick game to get you.
âPleaseâŠplease donât hurt them..â
You have no choice, you have to beg. Maybe by some grace sheâll feel pity and let them live. Monroe and Rosalee are still fighting against their restraints. Alexander finally woges back, but his eyes hold nothing but contempt.
âHexenbeist!â He spits out.
She just smiles, lifting her hand. His body slowly lowers, not completely to the floor, he just hovers right above. She moves closer to him, tilting her head as if assessing him.
âOf all the partners you could have taken, you choose this one.âÂ
Alexander growls and your fear increases.
âP-Please! You want me, just take me!! You donât have to hurt them!â
Your pleads make Alexander look over.
âWhat are you saying!!â
He looks like heâs fighting again, but she just walks around him, right over to you.
âSheâs right, all I want is her. It was always about her.â
âI wonât fight, Iâll go, just let them live.â
âNO!! IF YOU TOUCH HER IâLL KILL YOU!!âÂ
âEmpty threats, Pflichttreue. Youâre in no position to do anything.â Sheâs taunting him and his eyes glow dangerously.
When she turns back to you, she just smiles.
âIâll leave your friends. I just need you to follow me.â Youâre not prepared when she blows what looks like a stream of mist into your face. Your irises spark green, then it dissipates. When Alexander sees the blank expression now on your face, his heart drops.
âNoâŠâ
She finally lowers you into a standing position. Your feet touch the ground, and she brushes the back of her hand on your cheek.
âLetâs go, my little detective.â
You nod obediently and Alexander starts screaming as you follow her.
âNo! NO (Y/N)!!! STOP!! STOP!!â
His screams fall on deaf ears, you both walk right out the door.
Youâre gone.

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 10
From the moment he sat down you can see the tension in his body. He was wearing a smile, one of false confidence.
You glance at his hand, then back to his face.
âIs there a reason Iâm here, detectives?â
âOh weâre not detectives, Jess. My name is Patrick Jane and this is my daughter.â You nod and he looks even more unnerved.
âWeâre rushed for time so Iâm going to make this quick. Right now officers are raiding your house. I have no doubt that theyâll find those stacks of cash in the secret compartment you have at the back of your closet.â Jane explains.
Jess looks alarmed and you just keep a neutral expression.
âYou see we know all the bad things that youâve been up to, as a judge itâs not going to look very good on your profession. Taking bribes, assisting with trafficking and kidnapping an international ambassador, youâll be lucky if they give you the needle, because trust me, what they do to men like you in prison, youâll wish they put you out of your misery.â
âI didnât kidnap anyone okay!â
âThen tell us who did, you know these people. You understand how they operate. Help us make your life easier.â You encourage. He just shook his head.
âYou donât understand, you think I did any of this voluntarily, these arenât nice people.â
âIf you wanted you could have gotten out of it, stop making excuses and tell us what we want to know.â Jane pushed.
âWe want names, locations, everything, you tell us everything right now or I promise you Iâll make it my mission that you end up in a prison with some men whoâll be very glad to see you. All those criminals you put away, theyâll just be dying to see you again.â He was already sweating at your threat.
âI do this and you protect me.â
âIf Alexander dies I canât guarantee that you wonât end up the same.â He swallowed, nodding as he shakily picked up the pen and the pad.
âOkay, okay.â
He started scribbling frantically and you sent a look at the glass behind you.
~~
There was no discussion on who would go on this trip. Nick and Hank looked ready for anything, and you wanted nothing more than to join them. Thatâs why you volunteered, but Renard had shut it down the second you asked.
âBut captain I can help. I can make the connections faster. You think these guys are going to just give themselves up. Iâm better than the most skilled profiler.â
âI understand that but youâre not trained for this kind of field work. Here I can offer you protection, but over there the rules arenât so black and white. If something goes wrong, they can handle themselves. I wonât put any of my people in unnecessary danger. We have the backing of the FBI, so that gives us an advantage but thatâs all we have.â
You frowned.
âBut I-â
âThis isnât negotiable. Youâre staying here. I need you to speak with the other people on that list. Get what you can out of them. You can do the most good here.â His words left no room for argument. Renard walked out of his office and you watched as he gathered Nick and Hank.
Their plan was to stop in Austin to grab some more agents before they jumped on a jet and searched for Alexander. More than anything you want to be there, you feel like you have to, but heâs right. You donât have that kind of field training, especially given who youâre going against. Youâre not used to feeling so helpless.
âBoss benched you.â Jane peeks his head in and you nod solemnly as Nick and Hank leave.
âYour team seems very capable. You should trust them. I donât know what the relationship is with Alexander and Nick, but he looked determined. The kind of determination you display when youâre ready to go to war for someone. Whether itâs for you or him, heâll get it done.â
You expect nothing less from Nick. Itâs obvious heâs doing it for your sake. Even more obvious that heâs noticed how torn youâve been the second you heard that Alexander was in danger. Youâre a lot more transparent than you thought. With a sigh, you nod your head with an impish smile.
âI couldnât even stand the guy when we first met.â
âThatâs funny, I think thatâs what Lisbon thought about me everytime we did a case.â His comment has you laughing more freely. You remembered some of the stories she told you about his antics. Often very illegal, yet still very effective.
âYouâre the worst.â
He smiles with a little bow.
âThank you, Iâll be here all week.â
He places a hand on your shoulder and you just exhale. Youâre not sure how they expect you to just sit around while they carry out an international rescue mission.
âThere might be something that we can do from our side, who is your tech guy.â You perk up.
âThat would be Wu.â
âGreat, grab him, letâs get to work.â
You donât need anymore convincing, youâre already rushing to get Wu.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 4
Nick isnât sending you those looks anymore, so you know heâs come to some kind of solution. No doubt his call with Alexander a few days ago must have gone as well as you would expect. You havenât seen Alexander for a while. A part of you hoped he just went back overseas. Not seeing his face is a bit therapeutic.Â
You should have known it was short lived. The knock on your door at nine at night is unexpected. Your first guess is Nick. When thereâs a troublesome case, these kinds of visits are common. When you open the door, the dark jacket is the first thing you see. Those eyes are the second.Â
âCan we talk?âÂ
âDoesnât look like I have much of a choice. How did you get my address?âÂ
From his look itâs clear you donât want the answer to that question. You just sigh heavily, stepping to the side as you invite him in. He walks in, hands in his pockets. When you close the door you spot the tension in his shoulders. Thereâs guilt written all over him. A part of you feels proud, he should feel guilty for researching your family like that. He had no right. Another is aware that you were unnecessarily harsh.Â
Heâs obviously came to apologize. Before he gets the words out, you speak.Â
âI overreacted.âÂ
Alexander was clearly surprised at your statement.
You took a seat, the vulnerable expression on your face easy to see. Youâve been nothing but hostile with him, so maybe itâs time to be transparent. It wonât do either of you any good to be at odds. Heâs based in Portland, so youâll be seeing him often, and he works closely with Nick. You donât want interactions to be tense because of something like this.Â
Honesty is the only way to go.
âMy dad..he suffered a lot. He adopted me. Gave me a home, a family. My first few months I made them miserable. I was young and Iâd been through a lot. I kept waiting for a catch, but there was none. My parents were just good people trying to provide happiness for others.â
Heâs quiet because he wants to hear. He wants to understand your drive.Â
âWhen I got older I started looking into what they did, who they were and I found out. It broke my heart. After that day I decided I wanted to do more. I wanted to be more and help people, the same way he did. I wanted to make sure that I was always able to protect others, especially my family. Just like they saved me, protected me.âÂ
Seeing the bigger picture, he understands.Â
âI apologize. It wasnât my intention to offend or threaten you.âÂ
âI know.âÂ
He raised a brow and you just laughed softly.Â
âIf you were a threat I would have seen it from a mile away. Something about you just pisses me off.âÂ
He didnât expect the statement and he couldnât help but smile.Â
âI tend to have that effect on people.âÂ
You just continued to laugh, and he felt much better seeing a smile on your face. It was comforting in a way he didnât realize he appreciated until then.
âIâll help you. Iâm not quitting the department, but Iâll lend my expertise when I can.âÂ
He was a bit stunned, because he hadnât even asked the question. He was starting to realize that it was better not to question it. A smile began to work its way on his lips. He held out his hand.Â
âI look forward to your assistance.âÂ
You took it, giving a firm shake.
âSo do I.â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 3
Nick wasnât oblivious. You were a bit on edge for the last couple weeks.
He assumed it was personal, so he didnât push. You usually came to him if it was a problem that you needed insight on.
You were still carrying out your job as if nothing was wrong, so it couldnât have been a big problem. But the fact that it was clearly affecting you didnât sit well with him. Thatâs why he offered to pay for lunch. If there was one thing he could interest you in, it was a free meal.
âThanks for lunch Nick.â
You were smiling as you bit into the burger. The slight trial of mustard on your cheek almost made him forget the reason he decided to treat you. He passed a napkin with a laugh and you took it, wiping your face. Placing the burger down, you rolled up the napkin.
âSo are you going to ask?â
He straightened in his seat.
âAsk what?â
Your look informed him that he wasnât being as slick as he thought.
âI forget sometimes that youâre psychic.â
âNot psychic.â You spoke, taking another bite.
Itâs not like you didnât expect the bribe. Nick has been sending you some not so subtle looks all morning. He was worried.
âIâm fine Nick, really. You donât have to worry. I just had an argument.â
He didnât think there was anyone on the planet that could make you mad. You were usually pretty aloof. Unless it was..
âAlexander.â
Just as he thought.
âWhat did he say?â
If you were being honest he hadnât truly said anything. The moment he mentioned your family you just saw red. Youâve observed Alexander long enough to know he wasnât the type. Maybe it had something to do with his past with Nick. From the moment you saw them together you spotted the slight defiance. There were things that Alexander did that he wasnât proud of. Itâs clear their alliance is also a bit of an olive branch on Alexanderâs part to mend broken bridges.
âItâs nothing, donât worry about it. Itâll work itself out.â
Nick looked like he wanted to question further, but his phone rang. He reached into his pocket to answer the call, but his eyes focused on the caller ID.
It was Alexander.
He decided then that maybe he needed to confront the person that caused the problem in the first place.
âI gotta get going.â Nick pulled out a few bills, dropping them on the table.
âIâll see you later.â
You nodded, waving as you got back to your meal.
~
His trip wasnât long. Alexander has asked him to meet in his office. The second Nick made it through the doors of Alexanderâs building, he headed straight for the room. He knew this conversation would turn into a mini interrogation. Even though you assured him it wasnât a big deal, it must have been something to get you so riled up.
Stopping at the door, he gave a knock before he walked in. Alexander leaned back in his chair.
âBurhardt, please, have a seat.â
âI prefer to stand.â
Alexander expected hostility. It was naive to think that you hadnât said anything. Even if you didnât, Nick must have known something was up.
âI know this might seem outrageous, but Iâd like you to have a word with Ms. Jane on my behalf. I might have come across the wrong way in our last conversation. Iâve been trying to speak with her but in the last few weeks she has evaded me.â
That was an understatement. If you had a gun Nick was sure you would have at least shot him in the kneecap.
Something that was interesting was Alexander's request. Heâd never once asked him for such a favor. There must be some hidden agenda, otherwise Alexander would have easily sorted the problem out already or simply ignored it. You werenât a Grimm, or Wesen.
âWhy are you so interested in talking with her?â
âIâm sure I donât have to tell you how valuable her skills would be to the Wesen Council.â
Now it makes sense.
âSheâs not going to join your organization."
âYou canât be certain of that.â
âIâm pretty certain. You read her file already right?â
Alexander was confused on why that made a difference. But he answered regardless.
âYes, Iâve seen her file, what of it?â
âHer only drive is stopping serial killers. She hunts them down, just like the one that tormented her dad for years. Thatâs the only reason she does this. Sheâs not interested in political agendas. She joined law enforcement to help people who have suffered find closure. The same way her dad did when he killed Thomas McAllister.â
Heâd read all the reports, but he didnât realize that your service to law enforcement was that deep. Now your defensiveness made sense.
âIf you want to apologize then you have to do it yourself. Nothing I say is gonna convince her if sheâs already made up her mind.â Nick informed.
âI see, thank you for the advice.â
Nick wasn't sure he could do anymore. This was something Alexander needed to fix.Â

Alexander (Grimm) - Crossover AU - Chapter 2
You were settling in quite nicely.
When you learned about Wesen and Grimms three months ago you didnât think it would lead you here. There was still so much you didnât understand, but you liked your new job. Transferring in might have been one of the best decisions you made.Â
Had you never joined Portland PD, you probably would have still been oblivious to the world around you. While it was terrifying, your father always told you that knowledge is power. You could prepare better when you knew what you were dealing with.
âSo I heard you met Alexander, that must have been interesting.â Rosaleeâs statement earns smiles around the table. You just roll your eyes as you take another sip at your wine.
âHeâs a moron. Thinks heâs the baddest thing around. Men like that are so easy to read. My baby sister could probably do it.â
They all laugh at your clearly annoyed expression.
âIt sounds like he got under your skin.â Adalind inputs.
You place your glass down taking a vicious stab at your meat. They all send you a look and your shoulders relax at how hard youâd stuck the knife in. With a low grumble, you look away.
âA guy like that doesnât even bother me.â
âSounds like heâs bothering you a lot. â Monroe states. You send him a glare and he laughs nervously.
âOn second thought I could be wrong.â
Nick chuckles.
âIâve never seen you rip into someone that quickly no matter how mad you were.â
âItâs nothing, can we please just change the subject.â
âSure sure.â He said, but you spotted the playful smiles they all wore. Itâs clear this topic would pop up again.
~
âMs. Jane, you have a visitor.â
Opening your eyes, you looked up at the officer. The dark hair and sharp suit behind her caught your eye. You just nod, and she waved him over. When he walks up you donât bother to raise.
âI have to say Iâm intrigued. Typically law enforcement personnel are assigned desks.â
âI like the couch, it helps me think. Is there something you need? I thought you went back to the Netherlands.â
âHow did you know that I-â
âEducated guess, what do you want?â
He paused for a second, searching for the words. Every conversation with you made him more intrigued.
âI came to offer an apology.â
âHow very noble of you.â Your sarcastic quip was expected.
You finally sat upright, and you intended to dismiss him, but an officer walking by caught your eye. There was a man sitting patiently at the visitors area eyeing the officer in a way that indicated something that couldnât be good.
Standing, you brushed past Alexander.
âStay here.â
It was a whispered warning. When the man stood from his seat, you moved in his direction. His eyes were so focused ahead that he didnât pay much mind when you ran right into him.
âI-Iâm sorry Iâm so clumsy.â
He brushed off your apology when you straightened. The officer earlier was walking back in your direction and when you saw the man reach for his jacket pocket, you spotted the confusion on his face.
âLooking for this?â You held up the gun and he looked startled.
âNick!!â
The call alerted Nick and when the man tried to make a run for it he was tackled to the floor by two other officers. They all seemed to flock. In a matter of seconds the entire precinct was aware. Nick moved to your side and you handed him the gun. The officer from before looked stunned. You just let out a breath.
âWord of advice, donât mess around with other peopleâs wives.â He looked shocked at the accusation and the man was thrashing around when they pulled him off the floor.
âYOU THINK YOU CAN SLEEP WITH MY WIFE YOU PIECE OF SCUM!! IâLL KILL YOU!!â
He was yelling the entire way out and the officer simply swallowed.
âGood job.â Nick said with a grin.
You nod, yawning as you move back to the couch. Alexander just watched you lay back.
He didnât really have the right words.
For the rest of the day, it seems quite uneventful.
Alexander had left shortly after his visit without really explaining what he wanted. You didnât think much of it. You were positive he would find some way to annoy you again. Swinging your keys on your finger, you exited the building. You didnât expect to see the familiar azure hues upon your exit.
âYouâre still here?â
âWe werenât able to have a proper conversation earlier. The commotion was quite distracting. I wanted to have a word with you alone.â
âWhy?â
You were generally curious.
âI believe what you do is quite incredible. Your observation skills are outstanding. Although Iâm assuming you might have gained the abilities from your father, Patrick Jane.â Your jaw clenched.
âWhy are you researching me?â
âI just make a habit of knowing all the players. I would hate it if we were enemies.â
âAre you threatening me!â
âNo, I was simply stating that-â
âListen to me, if you so much as breathe in the direction of my family, Iâll end you. Do you hear me!â
You looked furious and he realized at that moment that he took the wrong approach. Youâre clearly protective of your family for obvious reasons.
You storm off and he watches as you jump into your car and pull away.
This might be a step in the wrong direction.Â

Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 21
âThe Grimm..â
Now that you stood there, Jan did not look as sure of himself. Everyone present stared. One of them woged, and you could see the instant terror written on the manâs face. He looked about ready to attack, but when you lifted the machete, no one moved an inch.
âIâve warned you what would happen if you ever came after me again Nowak.â Alexander was shocked in the manner that you addressed him.
âShe knows you?â
Jan swallowed.
âThis isnât the first time heâs sent goons to take me out. Last time he almost killed two innocent children.â
Benedictâs judging gaze was now planted on Jan.
âYou endangered innocents? Nowak that is a capital crime!â
âAre you really going to stand there and judge me when this Grimm has come to cut off our heads!! Sheâs probably already killed my son!!â Jan accused.
You scoffed.
âDonât get your knickers in a twist. Your little idiot son is in the backseat of my car. I just knocked him out. Unlike you I donât make a habit of killing just any and everyone. I thought the bastard looked like someone I hated.â
Janâs teeth clenched at the news.
âYou sent him there to die. You were hoping I would kill him so you could push your own selfish agenda. To sacrifice your own blood, I think you should look in the mirror, because Iâm not the actual monster.â
The judging eyes of the Council were now pointed to Jan.
âIs that true? You sent your son to die?â Benedict sounds almost heartbroken.
âSO WHAT IF I DID, SHEâS A GRIMM!!â Jan exploded. He rose from his seat, throwing his chair.
âYou all sit there and judge me, but sheâs killed hundreds, no thousands of our kind yet you treat me like a monster.â
Benedict's eyes lowered.
âThe very reason that weâve been fighting Black Claw is to promote unity among us, no matter the background. She may be a Grimm, but she has posed no threat to us. Having been a target itâs clear she could have come today to take all of our lives. Sheâs shown us mercy that you very well would not have given her. I am sorry old friend, but men with your corrupted views have no place on this Council. You must be removed immediately.â Alexander was shocked by Benedict's declaration. He hadnât thought that any of them would be interested in siding with you.
âWe must take a vote. All in favor of Jan Nowakâs removal from the Councilâs alliance.â
To say he was stunned would be an understatement. Jan stared as one by one, they all lifted their hands. Alexander lifted both hands, and you lifted your blade with a grin.
âI canât believe thisâŠâ Jan stated, shocked.
âThis is your doing..GRIMM!!â
Jan woged, rushing at you briskly. Clenching your fist your punched him right in the nose. The force of your fist knocked him out cold. A couple gasps echoed when his body crashed to the floor.
Alexander bit the inside of his cheek, scolding himself for being so turned on at such a time.
âWellâŠthat sort of dealt with itself.â
Benedict muttered. He gestured to the attendant who made quick work at picking up the male and carrying him out of the room. You slide your blade into the strap on the side of your thigh.
âI guess my work here is done. Oh yeah, someone should probably get that guyâs body out of my car before he starts to decompose.â Benedictâs eyes widened and you laughed.
âKidding. Heâs just knocked out. Like father like son I guess.â You shrugged. Benedict was almost afraid to ask if you were truly on their side. Despite Janâs bais views, itâs obvious there was some truth to his words. When Benedict saw the tattoo, he knew it was true.
âI donât mean to be mistrustful, but what guarantee do we have that you wonât in fact go back to being a killer of our kind?â More than anything, you understood. At the end of the day, you were a threat.
âIâm not proud of what I did in the past, and no amount of apologizing is going to make up for what Iâve done, but as far as what Iâm doing right now, I only want to protect. Iâm not interested in running around slaughtering anyone. I intend to spend the rest of my time on this earth helping as many souls as I can. Thatâs all I want.â Benedict seems content with the answer. From the approving looks in the room, you could tell that youâd gotten through to them.
âI understand, I appreciate your honesty. We look forward to working with you. â Benedict bowed his head, and you smiled. Your gaze shifted to Alexander. You knew from the concern that he was possibly blaming himself. He moves closer with a soft look of regret.
âYou couldnât have known Alexander.â He shook his head.
âI should have been more cautious. If I had told them of your existence early, maybe this could have been avoided. â The thought that he could have lost you was still ringing in his head.
âThank you for protecting me.â You whisper. Those blue eyes held so much fondness. You almost forgot you were standing in a room full of strangers who were watching the exchange curiously. You smirked, reaching out you grabbed him by the tie, pulling him in for a heated kiss. His eyebrows shot up in surprise as you held him close. After a few hot seconds you pulled back, licking your lips.
âSee you later, big guy.â You walked past him, giving his behind a smack for good measure. You could hear the little mutters, and you swore you saw one of the women blushing in the back. When the door closed, Alexander stared at it for a few moments. Looking back, he cleared his throat, straightening his tie.
âShall we continue.â
Benedict was laughing inwardly.
âAlex, you animal.â He teased.
You made quite the impression.

Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 22
The minute he was free, he met you in his office. Shutting the door, he sent you a look, combing a hand through his hair with laughter.
"You do know how to make an entrance." Alexander commented. You smile.
"In my defense they did start it." He took a seat next to you, taking your hands.
"I've managed to convince the Council that you're not a threat, but not everyone will be happy with this. Others may come after you."
"I'll be ready, don't worry about me."
It was impossible for him not to worry. Alexander lifted your hands, pressing a kiss to your fingertips. He pulled back, taking in the way your gaze ran over him.
"What would you say if I were to take a position in Portland. " The shock on your face must have been comical by the way he smiled.
"I decided that I wanted to run this Council better than De Groot did. If possible, violence will not be our first response to every decision. For centuries we've been ruled by our olds ways, it's no wonder that so much hate has bled into this world. "
You understand that more than anyone.
"My vision is to create a safe space for all. Not contribute to the world's bloodshed. Luckily I have managed to get a lot of ministers to back my plans. We'll be reinstating offices through the nations to help, rebuild and protect. Upon choosing positions, I decided that Portland would be the best fit for me. I have the most experience with both you and Burhardt."
You could feel tears prickling at the corner of your eyes.
"I'd also like to be closer to you." He confessed.
"What do you think?"
You didn't need to answer. Jumping forward, you wrapped your hands around his neck. Alexander's laugh increased when you began laying kisses all over his face.
"I'll take that as a yes." He stated smugly as he kissed you.
Truthfully, you both should stop right here. You've already made a pretty decent impression on his colleagues. That is more than enough scandal for your trip. But when you pull away, you swallow. Alexander's eyes are glowing.
"Watching you take down those illiterate men was quite a spectacle."
You hold in a quiver.
"I-I should get back."
It was easy putting on a show, but teasing Alexander outright wasn't the smartest decision. After your little incident in the car that day, you can't seem to forget how good it felt to have him lose control.
"When does your flight leave?" He whispers.
"Tomorrow."
He smirks.
"Then that's more than enough time, don't you agree?"
He leaves a kiss and your eyes close as you sigh. You don't fully realize what he's doing until he slowly spins you around, still leaving kisses on your skin. Your hands brace on his desk, and it's then that your brain catches up.
Your eyes open slowly, and his face is buried into your shoulder, hand running down your thigh.
"That day in your vehicle was torture for me, I'm merely repaying the favor. Do you realize how frustrating it is to have you so near and then watch you disappear each time. It's almost maddening." You bite back a moan. His hand is dangerously close to where you need it most.
"I-It wasn't intentional." You defend.
You really wish he'd just flip you over and take you on the desk.
He chuckles, and you can hear the slight deepening of his tone when you feel the fur tickle the back of your neck. You whimper, because he keeps you pinned in that position when you try to turn around and initiate more.
"Unfortunately, I am a gentleman. I will not resort the first time we make love to somewhere as mediocre as my desk. We'll have plenty of opportunities to defile my desk after."
He growls against your skin, and when his teeth lightly sink into your shoulder, you're surprised by the moan that leaves your lips. He pulls back to soothe the mark that he's created, licking the spot. There's a small trail of blood that trickles down, and you try to even your breathing. Your legs are shaking. It was a miracle you hadn't buckled right there and then.
"You are mine. Do you understand that? No one else can have you."
His possessive words don't do much to settle your arousal. How did he expect you to jump on a plane tomorrow after this? You finally understand what he meant.
All you can truly do is nod helplessly.
~
Your trip back to Portland was pretty quiet. Of course you had to fill in your friends on what happened.
"You didn't!"
Nodding, Rosalee laughed as you told of your journey to see the Wesen Council. Monroe sipped at his beer.
"Well, I'm sure they won't be sending anyone else after you. That's a guarantee."
"Pretty sure they got the message," Nick imputed. Adalind smiles.
"Have you and Alexander figured out what you are?" Nick asks. He's been wondering for a while. The way your face lit up is not something that any of them missed.
"I believe this might actually work between us." You sound so hopeful, and Rosalee gives your hand a little squeeze.
"Well, I'm going to retire for the night. Alexander is supposed to come back tomorrow. So I'll be meeting him at the airport."
Grabbing your coat, you bid them goodbye as you make your way home. It's been an eventful two weeks that's for sure. Thinking back to your first meeting, you can't say that you really saw this coming. He'd been so guarded, so were you. The both of you were opposites, yet you'd found each other. You couldn't be happier. Pulling into your driveway, you're a little confused at the car that is already parked there. When you step out, you tilt your head. Making your way to the door you open it.
There's a key placed on the table. You recognize the little charm attached to it.
Alexander stands from his seat on your couch.
"I was under the impression that you would prefer I use the key you provided rather than break in." He smiles.
"I thought you were coming in tomorrow."
"I decided to take an earlier flight. I hope that's okay."
You mirror his smile, walking over.
"Of course it is." You reach for him, and he returns the embrace.
"I've missed you."
His words make you giggle.
"It's only been about a week."
"Too long is my opinion." He leaves a kiss on your cheek. Then another on your neck. Your hands slide down his shoulders, and he growls.
"You smell like cinnamon." He comments.
"I was just at Rosalee's shop. " You explain. He inhales, like he's trying to memorize it.
"It must have been a long trip, would you like to take a shower?"
He nods, loosening his hold.
"I would love to. " You leave another kiss on his cheeks as you move to get him some items to change. He stops you before you can get very far. You turn, watching him expectantly.
"(Y/N), I have no idea what will transpire, but I want you to know that I do desire a future with you. A future for us."
His confession tugs at your heart, and you send a warm smile.
"I..I want a future with you too Alexander."
You never truly thought you could have one. You'd be very careful at keeping yourself at a distance from others. Who would have thought that you'd fall for an assassin of all people.
Life truly was unpredictable.

Alexander (Grimm) Chapter 23- Final
It's been a few months.
Alexander's plan had been implemented perfectly. The transition from the Netherlands was a tough one. But everything seemed to be settling. The nations were no longer at war. There was still a bit of uncertainty when it came to your position in all of this.
For the most part, the council just wanted that reassurance that you weren't going to start beheading people.
Not that some of them didn't really tempt you.
You believed in Alexander's vision. So through some of the nasty comments you received, you pushed through. Because words really were irrelevant when your ultimate goal was to keep the peace.
Alexander had to work tirelessly to prove that he could run the council and always do what was best for the community. A large number of wesen were against your relationship with him, but he wasn't deterred. It was amazing. All the work he did. You felt guilty. Because of all the changes, the both of you barely had a second to yourselves. Between your shifts and helping Nick with cases every now and then. It was hard to even squeeze in a minute. On top of that, attending meetings with wesen council members to promote peace, you both were exhausted.
Now that everything was being finalized, you felt like you could breathe. There's a knock on the door. You have a glass of wine in your hand as you trudge over. Surprised when you see those familiar blue eyes.
"Alexander? I thought you were working late tonight?" You step aside, and he walks in.
"I've requested a week-long vacation to recuperate. The council had no choice but to oblige." You laugh.
"After what we've been going through you deserve a year's worth of vacation. Would you like a drink?" He shakes his head. So you settle against the counter, sipping at your drink. Alexander's eyes run over the walls. You tilt your head.
"Everything okay?"
He nods.
"Just a bit of nostalgia. The last time I was here, you were tending to my wounds."
He's right. You lower the glass on the counter in thought.
"You didn't even know my name, but you were so willing to help. After discovering your identity, I was astonished. "
"Well, it was unnerving. I might have seemed calm at that moment, but you did sort of scare me."
He smiles.
"You're very good at maintaining your composure. You'd subdued me so easily. It was a bit bruising to my ego. Injured or not."
"What can I say, I got mad moves."
His gaze is still on you, and when he approaches, you feel the heat of it.
"I'm glad that it was your house that I ended up in. If we had never met, all that we've accomplished, all the change we're fighting for may not be very possible. Back then my views of Grimms were not much different from the bigoted people that we've met. Change is hard, but you showed me that it is not impossible. We don't have to be ruled by our fears. I fell in love with mine. "
Your eyes grow wide at his words.
"You.." He nods, taking one last step and you're caged against the counter.
"I do love you."
Your heart won't settle. With the glimmering of his eyes, and the smile that stretches on his lips. Somehow you know that he can hear it.
"From the staggered beat of your heart, I don't believe it is farfetched to assume you feel the same. "
You wish that saying those words were easier. Because he's right. You've had it bad for him since the day he walked out of those doors. You'd literally traveled across the country to protect him. So why was it so hard just to put those feelings into words?
"Alexander.."
His smile doesn't leave.
"I understand. Whenever you're ready, I'll be right here. Until then, I love you."
A tear rolls down your cheek, and he cups them both, planting a kiss on your lips. This kiss is so tamed, soft, loving. It holds all that you feel and more. Pretty soon those tender feelings are morphed into raw desire. Your hands grip at his suit, pulling him as close as possible. Alexander pulls away, and your eyes beg for me.
"Please.."
You're begging. Because you've literally been pent up for months. If he makes you wait any longer you'll break.
"It would be terrible of me to deny you any longer. "
He lifts you easily, and you don't even wait for him to start moving. You're kissing him again. Alexander laughs between the kisses as he does his best to find his way to your bedroom.
Fate really was a hell of a thing.
