Forum Komunitas Perubahan Lingkungan Bali Gelar ALIG, Bentuk Industri Pariwisata Ramah Bumi

BALIPORTALNEWS.COM, GIANYAR - Perubahan iklim tidak hanya memengaruhi cara turis bepergian. Hal ini juga berdampak pada tempat yang mereka kunjungi, akomodasi yang mereka pilih, dan aktivitas yang mereka lakukan. Pariwisata telah menjadi pasar yang berkembang selama bertahun-tahun, berkontribusi pada penciptaan lapangan kerja dan pembangunan ekonomi di seluruh dunia. Dengan bangkitnya kembali pariwisata pascapandemi sejak kuartal kedua 2022 dan dibukanya kembali destinasi, industri perjalanan memiliki peluang untuk menjadi lebih sehat, berkelanjutan, dan inklusif dalam jangka panjang. Hal ini tidak hanya merupakan pilihan yang lebih baik untuk lingkungan, tetapi juga merupakan cara utama untuk melayani permintaan wisatawan yang terus meningkat dan keberlanjutan. Menyadari fakta tersebut, Act Local Impact Global (ALIG) mengumumkan forum keenamnya, setelah suksesnya lima forum sebelumnya, yang dirancang untuk mendidik, memelihara, berbagi, dan membentuk perilaku manusia menjadi lebih ramah lingkungan yang akan berkontribusi dalam membangun masa depan parawisata yang berkelanjutan. Misi dari forum ALIG adalah untuk mengumpulkan semua pemangku kepentingan dan pemimpin dari sektor perjalanan, pariwisata, perhotelan dan ekonomi kreatif di Indonesia, untuk memberikan kesadaran dalam mengurangi ketergantungan pada plastik dan limbah berbahaya lainnya, dan berbagi perubahan lingkungan yang positif. Datang bersama sebagai katalis untuk perubahan, ALIG didirikan pada 31 Agustus 2018 untuk membuat komitmen bersama dan kolaboratif untuk Ibu Pertiwi dan satu sama lain. Pandemi Covid-19 membuat ALIG terhenti sejenak, dan kini mereka siap memulai kembali forum komunitasnya untuk mengikutsertakan sektor ekonomi kreatif yang penting dengan menyatukan 'kelompok kerja' kecil untuk terus menggerakkan dan membentuk forum pagi ALIG di Bali dan Jakarta untuk seluruh pemangku kepentingan dan pemimpin di sektor perjalanan, pariwisata, perhotelan dan ekonomi kreatif. ALIG juga ingin menghidupkan kembali dan membangun di atas fondasi yang telah dibangun selama dua tahun pertama. Forum pagi dipimpin oleh para pembuat perubahan yang menginspirasi untuk berbagi, menghubungkan, dan membentuk kolaborasi  untuk pada akhirnya berkontribusi dalam mengubah perilaku manusia di sektor pariwisata dan perhotelan untuk meningkatkan praktik terbaik agar menjadi lebih berkelanjutan dan inklusif untuk memungkinkan dampak lingkungan yang positif. Forum ALIG akan berlangsung di Banjar Cemenggaon, Celuk, Sukawati pada Kamis (27/10/2022). Beberapa pembicara inspiratif dari Bali Hotel Association, EcoHero, Plastic Exchange, Eco Bali, Bye Bye Plastic Bag Bali, Youthtopia, NIU, dan Purpose akan berbagi inisiatif lingkungan positif mereka selama forum ini. Robert Ian Bonnick, Ketua Komite Act Local Impact Global mengatakan, pihaknya memiliki kesempatan untuk menempatkan dampak sosial yang keberlanjutan dan langkah-langkah praktis untuk mencapainya di pikiran orang. “Bersama-sama kita berbagi, membawa kesadaran, dan berkontribusi untuk membentuk perilaku positif manusia yang berdampak pada planet kita dan manusia secara berkelanjutan demi kebaikan generasi berikutnya.
