Okay, so just got home after seeing Anyone But You. My honest take.

I went into the movie expecting it to be HORRENDOUS, but I can admit when I’m wrong. It was actually a pretty solid movie overall. The side characters were so fucking funny (GaTa you have my whole ass heart) and they held their own against each other.

Sydney Sweeney can’t act. I’m sorry, she can’t. That was the consensus coming out of the theater from people who didn’t even know the drama. Her lines fell flat and half the time I couldn’t figure out what she was trying to convey. The other half she was making this face: :3

I genuinely believe that if this movie had had a better female lead, it would have been a smash hit. Sydney just fell flat. I will give her this, I haven’t seen her in anything else (I’m not watching Euphoria, you can’t make me dammit), but not everyone can do comedy. Comedy acting is super hard, and she’s one of the ones that can’t do it, and that’s okay. Maybe she’s better in other things, idk?

Glen was pretty good, but we know he can do comedy, so that’s not really a surprise. I think he fell a little flat in this movie, but most of acting is reacting, and most of his scenes were with Sydney….so.

Anyway, I would say go see it. Not for Sydney or Glen, but for the phenomenal supporting cast. They were the ones that had me laughing out loud most of the time. Glen had his moments, but I’m not lying when I say GaTa and Bryan Brown were the true stars of the movie imo

Mega Man has the goofiest fucking localization changes with names sometimes even if changing Rock Man to Mega Man was a good cool but I really think the funniest fucking thing that spanned across two series unintentionally was the fact they had to change VAVA to Vile since there asses in the states couldn’t get away with a clear Star Wars inspired character without too much copyright and that caused the domino effect later of them NAMING a fucking dude in Japanese Dr Vile and went “shit we can’t have people be confused- let’s rename him Weil and have it be German so it’s pronounced the same as if kids playing this game will know this and also just think he’s Wily due to the spelling”

Heyyy! I finally drew Leaf! (Plus a slight Aster redesign-) This took way too long, and I apologize for the delay and the overall messiness. She had been sitting in my drawing program as a sketch for two months 😅 but with the Flashbacks up starting in Missing Numbers, I finally got the will to finish it!

[And for those who are curious, some notes about the art:

-The book is Aster’s. He’s read the book cover to cover well over 25 times. It’s his favorite book on flowers, but he’s more than happy to lend it to someone who wants to learn about flora.

-The content of the art (because there was intended to be a background that got scrapped-) is that Aster was showing Leaf around his secret garden deep in the woods, guiding her so that she wouldn’t get lost and showing her the different flowers and such. (That’s why she has the book-)

-You know how in some video games, you can press a button and whatever special companion you have will show up to give you a hint? (Ex: Navi, Fi, Rotom, Olivia, etc) That’s what Aster is doing right now. Whenever Leaf had a question—he had the answers.

-And if you’re wondering—Yes. Aster did make her a flower crown afterwards. And Yes, he thinks she looks very beautiful with flowers in her hair.]

anyways, i was back in the room getting ready to gts and she comes BURSTING into the room and immediately starts stripping 😭😭 i’m like “hi cece….whatcha doing..” and she jumps a foot in the air bc she didn’t see me. keep in mind i am not doing anything secretive or hiding, like i’m just standing there.

she starts going on this crazy tangent abt how she’s a horrible person and is abt to do this horrible thing and i immediately clock that she is drunk off her ass 😭 she’s also just standing there in her bra and underwear and i am looking so hard at the ceiling bc wtf am i supposed to do in that situation

and idk if i misheard her but i swear she said to me “i’m going to fuck my best friends boyfriend” 😀🤨 she’s also changing into like a lacy babydoll??? like hello!!!!??

so i’m thinking : ok this girl has been on a self sabotaging streak recently (another story for another day) and she is in no position to be doing anything like that rn so i guess it’s my job to talk her out of doing this disastrous thing

so i say “cece don’t fuck your best friends boyfriend. that’s crazy.” and she goes “nononono not fucking, eye fucking. i eye fuck everyone when i’m drunk.” which i can confirm bc she was doing it to me at this exact moment, i am still staring at the ceiling

so i’m like ok fine that’s ur prerogative as long as ur not compromising urself do what u want. but she’s conscious enough to know that if she keeps eye fucking this guy her best friend is going to be paranoid abt it?? and like have a horrible night?? but she’s not gonna stop!!!??? whatever

and then this is where i start dying bc she starts comparing herself to ME 😭😭😭😭

bc i was doing the aforementioned puzzle bc she had sexiled me abt 2 hrs before

but she’s in this like playboy cover lingerie set going BACK OUT to her friends room, full sprinting across our room bc she keeps forgetting shit, has not said a coherent sentence once, and is talking abt how i’m a cute little wholesome person and she wants to be like me. i feel like i’m tripping on something

and then this is the best part i’m quoting this verbatim

Tsukasa does come off as self absorbed (he is) which is a trait that lends itself to also being an asshole (he is not) so the only people in the beginning of pjsk who understand that he’s actually a pretty nice and selfless dude are saki and toya who knew him before he started doing the I’m A Future Star Who Is So Fantastic thing. Because they’re also the only people he would actually be a normal person around for the longest time. & they easily see past his massive ego which is something even wxs struggled to do for a while. Love the tenmas dearly. doll event/never give up cooking truly the events of all time.
