I'm curious, what are the mci like in hidden hands?
Wow! I thought this post got sent to the nether, but turns out it's been here ALL along!
Okay so, the MCI kids in terms of before the Bite, they were a pretty a tight knit group. Evan sometimes played with them, but there was a lot of conflict going on with Evan and Cassidy respectively, mostly because of Cassidy looking up to her brother's bully group and trying to get favored by him (which was friends with Michael). It didn't help that Evan tended to try and tell his father/whoever pizzeria employee about what was going on. Evan was particularly close with Fritz and Gabriel respectively, but most of the MCI kids didn't really like all this conflict - but at the same time, they weren't really equipped to handle it properly, so they're not really fault at here. They were also witnesses of the Bite of 83, but most of them ran away with their guardians before they could get interrogated by the police (and tbf, the MCI kids were not-fine with what was happening to Evan). Cassidy respectively though, actually felt bad about it (while she didn't do anything for the Bite to happen, she was encouraging Michael's behavior to some extent, though Michael was still VERY much at fault for the Bite) and has been guilty of it for many years to come, having been ashamed of her anger issues and trying to not act out from that point on, sometimes she goes to Evan's grave to pay her respects and try to apologize to him.
The MCI kids had a fallout after the Bite of course, but manages to slowly stitch itself back again with the help of Susie trying to help Cassidy mend her bond with the rest of the group again. It was a difficult time for all of them, but they ended up reuniting again!
After they got murdered though, things aren't quite great. They're mostly on Cassidy's side, trying to find who on Earth murdered them, while also trying to make amends with Evan at the same time. They all have no idea why they're all stuck there, not being able to move on to the afterlife. Evan isn't too happy about Cassidy sharing a spot with him, but Cassidy really tries her best with him. As vengeful as Cassidy is towards her murderer, her friends and Evan's well-being still matters very much to her as the MCI kids were like family to her.
That's all I can say without spoiling the actual happenings that's going to arise in the fic :]

I'm sorry if you've gotten this kind of info already, but one of the points you used in that video about Burntrap/Glitchtrap being Afton was him saying "I always come back," which you claim is something the Mimic wouldn't know, but it did know that. Fnaf 6 is shown to be a game in universe just like the rest of them.
Glitchtrap is likely a different branch of the Mimic1 code specifically designated for copying William long term.
There's also a line in Special Delivery. Luis says that Vanessa searched up "How to induce compliance in human subjects" which not only implies that what's possessing her isn't human in any way, but it's something that William would never need to do given that he's a master manipulator.
As for the memory plushies, those likely either come from the Mimic giving you the data it got about them from the VR game, or it's Glitchtrap giving you your own memories that you lost to place you in a vulnerable position given that those memories are likely traumatic ones.
We saw how Afton died anyway, his Agony and Remnant was cleansed by the Puppet in Fazbear's Fright's. There would be nothing left to bring him back. The Princess is going after the monster copying the murderer, not the murderer himself.
Also I'm like 90% sure that the devs of Security Breach thought that Burntrap was supposed to be Afton. I recall Baz saying once when he met Scott at the fnaf movie set that there was a miscommunication involving one of the games endings.
Sorry if this is a mess. Just thought all this was worth pointing out. Have a good one.
The video for those interested:
youtube
I don't think that Mimic was plugged into Pizzeria Simulator like it theoretically would have been into Help Wanted. It's possible I guess, but I still think it doesn't make sense for it to latch onto that line, or know what William heard in UCN.
When would that designation have been made and by whom? It wouldn't have been for Help Wanted based on Tape Girl's descriptions nor Mr. Burrows's.
Technically there are other things you can try to induce compliance in. A dog or other pet for example. "Human subjects" just specifies the search. Not to mention, it wouldn't necessarily be literally Glitchtrap doing the searching. Vanessa was talking to computers in AR, and we hear her talking to Glitchtrap in the og HW. He manipulated her mind to make her listen to him, but I think that was more Vanessa looking something up in order to do what Glitchtrap asked her to.
The unused lines specifically refer to the memories as belonging to "it", not the player, so I doubt that would be the case, and where in the VR game would it have specifically gotten the data for all 5 MCI kids and Charlie? Why would they be called its memories if they weren't actually Glitchtrap's memories. Who's code remains if the "his code" isn't William's?
Tumblr media
If you're referring to William getting dumped in the lake at the end of the Frights epilogues, there are quite a few reasons I think Frights and Stitchline are a separate continuity from the game timeline. Why would the Princess be around to find out about a copycat and care? He's not the one who she's mad at in that case.
I personally recall a misquote/misattribution of some sort that spread around on that topic. I'll need the timestamped video to confirm that preferably, but in any case, I highly doubt Scott didn't even glance at Burntrap's design before release to notice that something was wrong, and as I mentioned in my video, if Steel Wool was trying to correct things and connect the Mimic to Burntrap, they would have at least made the two have more visual connection than a hand that isn't even actually identical and was already reused from a nightmare animatronic.
While I see where you're coming from, I don't think any of those points negate the evidence I have in the video that you didn't address, though the video was long so I understand why you wouldn't bring it all up. Either way though, I personally think it makes a lot more sense from both an evidence, narrative, and storytelling perspective for Burntrap to be William. Totally cool if you believe differently though! I hope you have a good day as well :D

Cassie's father might be who Candy Cadet was talking about in the story in HW2.
I know it could also be Vanessa, but at the moment we don't have evidence that she had an encounter with Glitchtrap/Afton when she was young. Cassie's father might have a backstory with Freddy's that's beginning to unfold.
Candy Cadet says, "Now I will tell you a story about a young woman who, when she was little, was led into a dark forest by a witch and almost eaten. She had fallen for the friendly voice without discernment and was led astray. She had escaped before being thrown into the oven but would have a scar for the rest of her life."
It's possible that her father was almost a victim of the MCI and somehow got away.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think it's also possible based on the achievement we get for collecting one of the memory plushies that Cassie's father knew or was related to Jeremy, the missing child, in some way. It’s phrased as a question. Do you remember him? Like it’s telling us they’ve crossed paths before. The mask could've belonged to Jeremy. Maybe Jeremy had been taken in his place after he escaped.
Based on this, Cassie's father came back to the pizzeria to find the virus and kill it, and was lured into being locked in the FFPS location, either by Gregory, Vanny, or Glitchtrap himself.
Tumblr media
He left a note for Cassie that we find in Ruin, and presumably didn't come back. This is Cassie's father going back to fight the witch as an adult, but he got tricked, and he's stuck down here. The endings of the game could also be where "the witch would finally have her meal" since we see him getting taken by the STAFF bots Glitchtrap controls and getting left in the claw machine by Vanny.

so. decided to draw some more realistic noses. think i did pretty well.
anyway!! the MCI kids in my Rewrite!
fun facts for y'all:
Naomi and Gabi were Liz's best friends before she died.
Baker absolutely loved Bonnie. favorite animatronic. he wanted to be a rock star when he grew up, just like his hero.
Baker never wore shoes anywhere. he also had these Animal Paw socks that his mom got for him that he also wore everywhere.
y'know the saying that's like "Queer people tend to form groups together, even if not all of them have realized they're queer yet"? that summarizes the MCI + Charlie and Cassidy (CC). to give some examples:
Gabi is actually transfem.
Baker and Naomi are aroace, but in different ways. Naomi thinks dating is gross and dreads Valentine's Day. don't get her wrong, getting cards and stuff is nice, but...Christ, can the boys get annoying. she's one of the popular girls, she gets it, but JESUS. Baker? well, for one, the kid's five. but he also just kinda doesn't care in general.
Felix's entire philosophy on gender is "I Don't Give A Shit; Call Me What You Want." kid does Not give a fuck, they've got other things to worry about.
Kelsey is also technically transfem, but never got to really explore that. he has brought the topic up to Cassidy before while they were dead though; "Do you ever have moments where you think you're not a boy?" "I mean yeah, but we're kinda busy trying to kill my dad, Kel-" take this as you will for what that means for Cassidy.
anyway, back to regular headcanons (i mean. if they're my versions of the MCI that are all basically ocs in this rewrite, are they really headcanons?):
Baker and Kelsey were really close to Cassidy, because their brothers (Mike, Jeremy, and Andrew) all knew each other and hung out.
not a single one of these kids are neurotypical. not a one.
Baker is specifically AuDHD (autism + ADHD). to everyone else he's just the most hyperactive kid with a Bonnie obsession in existence.
as y'all can guess, Baker was the youngest :(
Kelsey and Andrew don't have a great home life.
these kids were all friends with Cassidy before they all died.
Baker deals with that "fun" thing where you go into a room and forget why you're there and/or how you got there. it's why Bonnie seems to teleport. it's just because he wanders around and doesn't realize he's reached a place until he's suddenly there. scares the shit out of nightguards, though!
Baker thinks that he's done the coolest thing he could've possibly done; he's BECOME Bonnie. whether that's a coping mechanism for his current situation or he genuinely sees this as an upside is up to y'all.
Baker's surprisingly the least aggressive soul out of the others. he wants vengeance, but he can tell that these nightguards ain't the guy. his "aggression" is just him being a silly little guy, really. he just wants to play with someone!! unfortunately, being in an animatronic makes it much easier to kill someone. poor kid :(
Felix, aside from Cassidy, is the most aggressive. in his eyes, it was the employees' responsibility to keep his safe and from dying. William didn't even try to hide it when he took him. he was in view of the cameras and everything in that suit. and yet no one seemed to notice when he was taken. no one came to stop William from taking him to the back. him killing the nightguards has more to do with bitterness and anger at nothing being done to save him than vengeance against a killer he didn't recognize. he knows damn well who killed him, the kid's just pissed.
Baker recognized Jeremy when he was a nightguard, and didn't attack him the rest of the night. did fuck around with him, though. brothers, am i right?
Gabi really likes hiding under tables so that she doesn't have to talk to people. shy girl, y'know?
Naomi really likes dogs. she kept begging her parents for a dog and, while they promised her one, never got around to getting her a real one. guess how William lured her. Guess.
Naomi, like Susie, was the first of the MCI.
Kelsey liked to draw (and still does, as a ghost. although his drawings after death are less...cheerful, to put it one way)

FNaF AU Pizzeria Simulator Redux Part 2
Withered Fredbear still serves as the final boss, breaking into Charlie’s house and waiting in her basement when unlocks the battle.
Aside from attractions in the Pizzeria, Charlie ALSO has to “Playtest” the Toy Animatronics in order to “agitate” Mike enough to break in with Fredbear. Charlie won’t know that, she’ll simply see that somebody broke into her house, but doesn’t seem to have stolen anything.
When trying to enter the basement after Fredbear breaks into the house, Charlie will ask the following question:
“There’s something in there, I can feel it. Do I really want to go in?”
The game will suggest that you save before entering (Charlie’s house is the only place you can save), and going in will begin the final battle.
Haunted or not, Withered Fredbear still isn’t looking good from having walked across half of Utah just to get to Charlie’s house. Most of the suit has been worn away, moss and fungus are growing out of what’s left, and the Springlocks are still plainly visible (even as grime hangs off of it), making him look like a zombie. Think like an inverse version of Springtrap.
Mike Brooks speaks through Fredbear to Charlie, Fredbear’s voice glitchy and warped from exposure to the elements. He is not happy with all of her digging, and wants to know why she reopened the restaurant. She knows William’s ghost is still out there (even if she’s already managed to burn Springtrap), and the argument eventually leads to Mike losing his temper and siccing Fredbear on Charlie.
Charlie’s able to escape to her study, but she now has an angry spirit and a dangerous animatronic on the loose in her house. Golden Freddy can appear in any camera, and will disable the cameras entirely if Charlie looks at him for too long. Withered Fredbear moves throughout the house, acting much like Springtrap in FNaF3.
Charlie just has to keep him out of her room.
Mike will also sometimes play ads for Fredbear’s Family Diner on Charlie’s camera monitors, which will make keeping Fredbear out much, MUCH harder.
Rather than killing Charlie, Fredbear will hospitalize her, forcing her to pay the hospital bill. She can still die, however. Because if she can’t afford to pay the hospital bill, they just won’t treat her injuries, leading to her bleeding out.
At 6 AM, her alarm clock goes off like it would at the start of any day, and the other spirits calm down Mike enough for him to hear Charlie out. The spirits, finally appeased, move on to whatever’s on the other side, and Charlie decides to destroy Fredbear rather than attempt to salvage it, and the ending cutscene plays.
After the ending cutscene wraps up, the “Open” sign from the “Blueprint to Office” transition lights up, and the credits roll. After the credits roll, the “Closing Time” screen pops up one final time, and the player receives the final results screen, showing how many days it took to complete the game, how much money and how many Faz Points were earned, and the overall completion percentage. After that, the player is shown the graves of the MCI victims, showing that the spirits are finally at rest.
Also “Custom Nightmare” is unlocked.
-
“If she can’t afford the hospital bill, they just won’t treat her injuries”
YEAH THAT SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT

Road to Hell Cassidy stuff
Cassidy is the oldest, she was 14 when she died. Jeremy was 11, Fritz and Gabriel were 9, and Susie was 7
Cassidy had a pretty shit home life, and some untreated anger issues. William killed her because she reminded him of how Michael acted before the bite.
Cassidy had the most brutal death of the mci. William also saw some of his more negative traits in Cassidys behavior, which made her death more personal to him. Cassidy heavily resents the other kids at first; not only because of her more painful death, but she also felt as if they were more innocent and naive compared to her. She would complain that she was “stuck in the afterlife with a bunch of shithead crybabies”.
Even worse is that William and Cassidy did have a genuine connection. William is a shit father figure sure, but he gave her more attention than Cassidy had ever gotten from her own parents (and more attention than William was giving his own children)
It’s very much a springtrap and delilah situation (because I love that comic), and it’s the same with all the mci kids, not just Cassidy. William genuinely did care for them, but he was incredibly unstable and unpredictable.
Cassidy is also trans, and people would ridicule and ignore her when she said that she was a girl. William didn’t really care, he had a lot of internalized prejudices, but he didn’t really care about Cassidy. He just saw her as a kid playing pretend, which is still a harmful idea about trans kids, but William just played along with it. He used her preferred name and pronouns, and that wasn’t something anyone else had been willing to do.
Cassidy had mixed feelings about being Golden Freddy, even separated from the fact that she had been killed. She did actually like Gfreddy, he was her favorite animatronic, but he was a male character, and she didn’t like being seen as such, especially after working so hard to grow her hair out and train her voice.
This was originally supposed to be about ALL the MCI, but it ended up just being about Cassidy. I’ll probably make these for the rest of the mci at some point.
also sorry if Williams character is inconsistent from post to post. He’s a bit of a writing experiment/challenge for me, so I’m having to tweak his personality a lot.

I'm back again with an idea for William's pokemon pre springlock. An Appletun for that one dex entry about kids eating it.
And maybe Gothitelle. Their dex has something to do with showing opponents the death of the universe and that sound scary so it'd fit
William still doing everything as in canon when he lures the MCI, but now I’m just imagining here, that he just... brings out the Gothitelle.
Casually brings out his Gothitelle before the final step, and shows Susie and the rest of the MCI—each time he brings one—the death of the universe 👍
He just felt like it.
They’re all chilling as spirits within the animatronics, and they’re talking like:
“Did he also bring out that Pokémon and...”
“Yeah.”
“Yup.”
“Yea.”
“Uh-huh.”

what do you think henry thinks of cassidy?
He feels really fucking bad for her. She was the last one of the MCI kid's Bill killed and Henry had 4 other oppurtunities to do something about Bill (or just... not actively help him) but he didn't and Cass's death was frighteningly violent. She also possessed HIS suit which just adds to the guilt of his involvement. She's also the reason Charlie stays around long enough to be tortured in that bear.
Henry fails to help Cass get closure while he's still alive so he's trying his best to do that from purgatory. What she's doing is bad but it's, ultimatly, not her fault- she's a very traumatised 11 year old girl and Henry just wants her to rest. She comes and fishes with him sometimes and asks for advice and it makes him feel like he's making progress (she even slips up and calls him 'dad' every so often which makes him cry).

alright, time to ramble about Cassidy again because i just remembered that one video Matpat did about Frontal Lobe Damage and how it would make the Crying Child having nightmares basically impossible, but considering that the video was made back when people were debating when That bite took place (he called it the Bite of '87), and that i consider what happened in both incidents Wildly different (Jeremy had sharp animatronic teeth Directly enter his skull and brain, thus doing more damage, whereas Cassidy had some Weird As Fuck blunt force trauma and a cracked skull, giving him some more Mild(ish) brain damage and a concussion), you now get to have an Interesting case study into "Reason Why No One But William Took Cassidy's Sudden Knowledge Of The MCI Seriously"
so. here were the symptoms Cassidy showed post-Bite:
brain got mildly squished; nothing that probably wouldn't heal in time, maybe several months to over a year.
no real memory problems; tracks with what i've heard of "milder" frontal lobe injuries.
personality shifts; less anxiety and seems more...pissed off? volatile? would technically make sense; see Phineas Gage (personality changed wildly post-injury, but apparently went back to normal eventually? from what i remember), so it would be believed that, as Cassidy healed, he would "go back to normal eventually."
not many nightmares (while he was still alive); still tracks, apparently. he welcomed it; he hasn't been able to sleep well since he was a toddler. this is fucking wonderful for him.
impulsiveness (shown through him "out of nowhere" talking about Charlie + the MCI when he wouldn't so much as mention them without crying pre-Bite): still tracks. hey, the kid's seven, and he just got a brain injury. even if he's being a bit blunt...why get mad at him for talking about his missing/dead friends? especially since he seemed to talk to them in a "coma dream"?
then just your ordinary concussion symptoms (keep him away from bright lights/screens as much as possible, make sure he rests often, etc).
also keep in mind; The Doctor Likely Would've Warned The Family About This To Give Them A Heads-Up.
so yeah. notice how i said "coma dream" in quotes? Yeah, No, Cassidy Actually Kinda Talked To His Dead Friends While In A Coma.
Cassidy's Odd Behavior Was Chalked Up To His Brain Injuries, But Only William Took Cass' More Hostile Behavior Towards Him, And His References To William's Victims, More Seriously.
Wow I actually love this take. Especially Cass finally getting a respite from nightmares since he was young, that's a really neat detail. William being the only one to take him seriously because he knows it's not a side effect of the head trauma... holy shiz

FNAF headcannons!
William-
Born in 1942 in England, as the second of 6 children in his family.
Had a twin sister who died shortly after birth
Lost 2 brothers and almost died to a illness outbreak in 1950, Les to a lifelong fear of death.
Got sent to a boarding school for troubled youth as a young teen by his parents due to some very concerning behaviors, it had no effect but teaching him to get away with things.
Left to the United States in 1962 at the age of 20 to attend university (and escape a reputation he had built).
Attended university for engineering, he met Henry who was attending for business, and Joanne, who was attending for medicine.
Joanne is the first Mrs.Afton, she and William started dating in 1963, started living together in 1967, and got married in 1969.
Williams first job was a repairing broken machines in factories.
He and Henry started Fredbears family diner in 1973, he worked there part time at first and quit his full time job to focus on the diner when it started succeeding.
William was an entertainer, repairman, maintenance worker, and security guard at Fredbears family diner, he designed half the employee uniforms.
The springbonnie and fredbear suits were originally cloth suits made by Henry’s wife, they were replaced by spring lock suits that William designed in 1976.
Joanne died in the birth of Evan in 1977
William rushed into his second marriage, with a woman named Claire, in early 1978, just half a year after Joanne’s death.
Williams first murder was in 1979, of a teenager who had wondered into the restaurant after hours, when he worked alone as the only security guard at the time.
William survived a partial (no head, but the rest of the suit failed) springlock failure while attending a child’s birthday party in 1980.
William was responsible for another’s child’s disappearance in 1981
He gifted his children “tokens” he had taken from his victims
After Evan’s death in 1983 he lost more then half his body weight in the following months
Fredbears family diner closed down, and Henry took over all of the runnings of Freddy’s while William recovered
In early 1984, just a few weeks after Evan’s death, William killed Charlie, her murder was unsolved.
In 1984 William opened circus babies pizza world, after noticing that the puppet was acting very weird and was oddly aggressive towards him.
He took Elizabeth there for her 12th birthday, he told her not to wander off without him but she didn’t listen, she wandered off while he was distracted and got killed by circus baby.
William had Micheal help him cover up Elizabeth’s death as her “running away”.
During the trial first MCI William was found innocent but as he walked out he was attacked by Cassidy’s father, making him loose a tooth.
William and Claire divorced in 1986, William made Micheal lie in court so Claire didn’t get custody, Claire died shortly after the divorce in mysterious circumstances.
There was a second MCI in 1987, of 6 kids, with 1 barely surviving. This girl identified her attacker as a man matching Williams description, when the police went to get William he was gone.
William traveled along the country and took new names each time, during this year and a half period he took another 8 victims (including 2 police officers after he was almost caught once).
In 1988 William took the name Dave and started working the night shift at a local mall, this is also where he had his last wife, a woman named Sarah Miller. They had a daughter named Katherine Miller (oc) in 1990.
William returned to Utah with his new family and took a job as the dayshift guard at the new Freddy’s in 1993, around the time of sister location.
A few months before Fnaf 1 he tried to disassemble the animatronics and accidentally released the spirits of the children. In a panic he hid in the old springbonnie suit and was springlocked. The company walled up the room, trapping him there.
William possesses Vanessa in security breach, while under his control she has no control of her actions, and while not under his control he’s like the voice in the back of her head.
The remainders of his consciousness die with Vanessa at the end of security breach.
Micheal-
Born in 1970 as his parents first child
Wanted nothing more then his fathers affection, and so tried to act out to get it as being the good kid didn’t get him any attention.
Liked to play with fire as a little kid
Was always the least favorite, a disappointment, he looked so much like William but acted nothing like him.
Got curly hair, tan skin, and freckles from his mother, got everything else from his father.
Artist
Hated Evan for being responsible for his mother’s death, or at least that’s how a 7 year old Micheal saw the new baby his mother had died having.
His doodles inspired the designs for foxy and chica.
Became a social outcast after 1983, his father hated him, his sister feared him. Only his stepmother cared enough about him to make sure he was ok and even get him therapy.
Never forgave himself for lying in court during his parents divorce.
Was made to lie to police and be an alibi for William due to fear.
Was 17 when his father vanished, was adopted by Henry.
Started working jobs under his mother’s maiden name (Schmidt) since no one in Hurricane would hire an Afton.
Had a girlfriend he met at a college party he was snuck into, her name was Rachel. She helped him through a lot of issues caused by his father, mostly panic attacks and flashbacks.
They had 2 daughters, Kate (oc) in 1991 and Vanessa in 1993
Sister location happened when Vanessa was 3 months old, she never remembered her father.
Rachel took the girls and she and Henry left for Washington after Micheal was scooped, mostly due to the fear of something impersonating Micheal.
Micheal started trying to find his father because he was confused and scared and angry, and he wanted answers.
After Fnaf 1 he started traveling to places his father might be around the country, this is what happened over the next 22 years until 2015, when he got a add for Fazbear frights and went to see if his father was there.
Recognized his father as springtrap almost immediately, tried to burn the building down to kill him and failed.
In 2018 Henry moved back to Utah and opened a new Freddy’s, Micheal became a manager.
Henry, knowing the manager was Micheal, left a note for Micheal on his desk, it had the address and phone numbers of his ex girlfriend and daughters.
Micheal visited them, Rachel and Vanessa were happy to see him again, but Kate wanted nothing to do with her father and wanted him to have nothing to do with her children.
Micheal died in the Fnaf 6 fire, I don’t personally see him as glamrock Freddy because this man deserves to rest.
Vanessa-
Was obsessed with finding out more about her father and his family, especially after only getting to see him once in her life that she could remember.
She became obsessed with researching, and when an opportunity to join the production of a game that involved her family in some way popped up, she gladly took it.
She was possessed by glitchtrap (William) in 2021, during the final months of the games production, this is when she started killing her therapists and making kids go missing.
She died in security breach in 2026.

As Y/N promised, he came back fairly quick. Getting out of his car, he grabs a large plastic bucket filled with cleaning supplies from his trunk. He had cleaned himself of the blood splatter on his face as well as cleaner clothes, his work hoodie slightly damp from him treating the soon to be stains in a hurry. Y/N takes slow steps through the parking lot, eyes nervously switching between the ground and Mike as he apprehensively spoke. "Hey…"
Mike, leaned up against the brick wall eyed up the man with hesitance. "Hey," The night guard riposted, his voice even now strained. Still a little worried about Y/N leaving so suddenly, the technicians presents reducing the ever growing fear of loneliness that lingers within Mike. A softness of relief crosses over his expression in a flash, disappearing as soon as Y/N noticed it. He takes an apprehensive step forward, moving himself off the establishment. The technician’s gaze watched Mike, soon mirroring him as he walks the rest of the way next to the night guard. Expression back to his normal warm and genuine one, gaze no longer sharp and cautious.
Setting the cleaning bucket down beside the doors of the pizzeria, Y/N's hands moved into his pockets. "Do you want to go first or should I?" He proposed, tone gravelly. Truly wanting to fix this problem between them. A small sigh left Mike as he felt his heart rate slow down at Y/N's response. "I think you should start first, since you ran off last time." He replied, trying to keep his tone lighthearted, only for it to sound accusatory. He wanted this talk to be as honest and as real as possible.
"Right…" Y/N breathes out heavy, leaning himself against the multi colored brick column. Eyes focused on the ground beneath his feet, deciding on how he would explain his situation. "Well, you know about the missing children incident that happened here?" He starts, voice beginning to tremble, he clears his throat, head turning up to your direction. Mike nods, his arms crossing over his chest as he listens. His eyes flickering over elsewhere occasionally, nervously looking back at the man as he continued.
"I…was kidnapped by William when I was about ten and...I was one of the lucky ones and escaped, but…my friend wasn’t so lucky. Since then, my anger and grief just kept festering. I became obsessed with needing to know, why did he chose me and why did I get a chance to live and not my friend." He revealed, Y/N’s hands fidgets with his hands, scratching repetitively at his skin. A coping mechanism the man had developed over the years. His body becoming itchy as him remembers that fateful day in flashes.
Y/N closes his eyes as he shakes his head, his expression turning sorrowful as he apologetically adds. "That in no way is an excuse for the way I treated you, for putting you in danger. I was blindsided by finally getting back at him and I apologize for that." His hands claps his hoodie as he realizes his mindless scratching.
Mike took an immediate notice of Y/N’s hands, sure he was glad that the technician had explained his actions. The reasons were understandable, not an excuse for what happened, but understandable nonetheless. The shock of Y/N being apart of all of this made his head and heart ache. He took step forward, a few feet from Y/N. "Can I speak now?" Mike asked nervously.
Y/N’s gaze focuses back to him, his usual warm eyes slightly glossy from explaining his past. "Yeah, the floor is yours." He said softly, only now noticing the space between the two men becoming less and less. A thrill of longing to be closer to one another pulling the both of them. "I appreciate you opened up about that and I'm sorry about...your friend." Mike begins, his voice dipping beyond a nervous inflection. His hand rubbing his arm as he pauses to gather his words, voice caught in his throat as he prepares his question.
"Did you actually plan to leave and never come back?" Taking a half step closer, his voice serious, but low in consideration. The man anxious to hear your answer, if it was true then…had he been a burden to Y/N this entire time? "I don't want to assume anything, but I just want to know if you actually planned on leaving or not." He pushes, his voice becoming board-line desperate with each passing second.
Y/N blinks a couple times, shaking his head. Taking in everything Mike said, his added closeness barely registering in his mind. "No, I was in a hysterical state and didn’t want you to deal with something like that...I was scared." He answered honestly, his voice steady and reassuring. Body slightly turning to face his front to you. "Scared?" Mike parrots back, confused. Not understanding why the very outspoken and confident technician would be scared, especially after all they've been through together. "Why were you scared?" Mike starting to feel a bit worried about the response he would get.
Y/N shakily exhales. "I was scared that once I’d knocked out William you’d want nothing to do with me. Which is 100% understandable, I wouldn’t want to be around me either after that. So…I thought if I pushed you away it wouldn’t have hurt as much." His voice strained with thick self-blame. "…I was wrong." A sad smile of kind-warmheartedness crept up Mike's face. It wasn't a fear of him pushing Y/N away from their slowly building friendship, it was a fear of being alone and being left behind. He felt commiseration and compassion in his heart for the technician, the primal urge to give him a hug for what he had to go through all alone. He wanted his friend to know that he'd never leave him. "Y/N...you're my friend, I would never do something like that to you." Mike said softly.
The man solemnly nods, a hint of distant rejection with in his gaze. Believing that being alone was always an inevitable reality for him, no matter how much he tried to fight it. "That doesn’t change anything, you wouldn’t be the first friend I’ve lost because of my actions." Y/N adds, nervously shifting against the brick column, taking a step back as his gaze falls.
"And what if I told you that you wouldn't be the first friend I'd lost, either?" Mike counters, tone and response a little softer than before. Wanting Y/N to know that what happened earlier wouldn't change anything between them. He took a step forward, adding to his statement in a serene voice. "I won't be leaving you anytime soon, no matter what happens."
Y/N shakes his head, his heart pounding as you step forward to make up the distance he made. His aching heart leaping at the connotation, brain unable to truly allow the night guards words to settle. "Please don’t say that…" He whispers brokenly, those words hitting him deeply. Those same words he always wanted to hear for so long.
Mike understood it was hard for Y/N to believe his words, small and sympathetic smile on his face. The man was similar in his self-loathing and self-blame as Mike was. Now the situation had almost been reversed and he felt a sense of worry. "I mean it." He declared in a hush whisper. Y/N, at a complete loss for words allows his glossy eyes to flow freely with thankful tears. He sniffles as they fall down his cheeks. "You know, you can be so irritatingly stubborn sometimes." He jokes in a watery voice, a small smile gracing his face, he wipes away the stray tears.
"And you can be completely dense sometimes, I guess that's why I care for you so much." He comments back, moving his hand to wipe away the tears on the technician's cheeks. Figuring the only thing he could do right now was show affection and kindness to Y/N. He didn't know how to solve all of the man's problems, but he did know how to remind him that he wasn't alone. Y/N was froze up as Mike hugged him, throughout all of the years he’s known the night guard, he’s never seen him express affection to this extent.
Originally thinking the man hated the idea of being touched until now. "Hugging me…you’re really weird Mike." He half-heartedly jokes, arms slowly wrapping around the man in return. "I guess I am weird." Mike replies, his voice muffled by Y/N's shoulder. Smiling as the other man’s arms hug him back. "I'm just an oddball who hates conflict and wants to give out hugs." He adds sarcastically. Mike was a weird guy, he knew that much, he just wanted to make the people he cared about happy. The night guard released a light chuckle at that thought, feeling his heart rate slow. "You're a weirdo too, you know that?" He retorts back.
Y/N hums back softly, a light chuckle intermixing in his chest. "Touché..." He comments back playfully, staying within the comforting hug. The reoccurring question bouncing around in his head. "I thought you had a thing with touching other people? Let alone giving out hugs." He added, his words curious with your action. The man had never seen Mike actively interact with anyone like this.
"Well, I might, but you're the one exception." Mike replies back sweetly. "I mean it, it's been rough lately...and all of this…" His voice trails off, not wanting to think about everything that happened today. He still felt so bad for yelling at Y/N earlier, all of the anger felt completely meaningless and childish now. The technician grins against the night guards shoulder, feeling as though they both truly needed a hug. Finding stability within one another’s comfort. "Yeah, it has been…" He agrees softly, reluctantly pulling away from their embrace, stepping over to the bucket filled with cleaning supplies. Picking it up with one hand while the other opens the glass door to the pizzeria.
Mike smiles at Y/N, seeing how happy the technician was and to see him smile so much made him happy as well. He follows close behind, his shoulders bumping into Y/N’s at every step. "Do you need any help with cleaning?" He asks, wanting to help in some way, maybe to spend more time with his friend. He wasn’t too sure which it was. Y/N pauses a few steps into the main dining area, chairs and tables displayed like a chess set, awaiting for parties to never arrive. He thinks for a moment before answering, his eyes glancing at Mike. "I could use absolutely use your help." Y/N smiles back with thankful glee.
Walking over, Y/N now kneeling over the leftover mess that William had made only 30 minutes prior. Fairly used to cleaning up blood and leftovers from past experiences, though cleaning carpet would be a challenge in and of itself. Y/N turns back as he hears your footsteps near him. Mike makes his way over to Y/N, now giving him the cleaning supplies. "Here, this should be everything." He says, still smiling as he looks back at the technician. "Thanks." Y/N replies, arranging the cleaning supplies beside him, dabbing a wet paper towel with cold water over the area.
Mike then takes the one pair of gloves and puts one on each of his hands. "Let me see how this is done...I'm a bit inexperienced at this." He claims, taking another wet paper towel and tries to clean the mess. The blood seemed like it was a bit difficult to clean off the carpet but he was making progress. Y/N giving him a kind smile, rummaging through his bucket of supplies. Taking out a grey discolored towel, dipping it in the cold water before handing it to Mike. "No worry’s, I’ll help you out. Just put a little pressure right for a second and it should soak up." He instructed. Mike nodded as he took the towel and gently placed it over a stain on the carpet. He applied a bit of pressure over the towel and watched as the blood stain was absorbed through the fabric.
The night guard was left wondering what else the technician did in his free time. Glancing over at the technician as he takes out another grey discolored towel from the bucket, setting aside a spray bottle. Spraying on a far side of the area before dabbing up the stain. Mike, now wanting to learn more about Y/N. He was so interesting to talk and he wanted to learn more about him. The two exchanging in questions and answers, slowing leading to a more personal turn. One Y/N was hoping would happen to the two of them at some point. Y/N hums out beneath a soft breath, unraveling a few paper towels. Laying one over another, soaking up the left over cold water in the carpet.
"Why do you want to know what goes on within my house? I’m curious, you’ve never been this interested in stuff like this before." He inquired, eyes suspicious towards the night guard. Continuing to dab the floor, Mike pauses his movements, looking towards the technician beside him. A nervous wave crashing into him, heart pounding and terrified of his next question. "If I ever asked you to spend the night together, would you say yes?"
It was Y/N’s turn to pause, eyes shot up quickly, frozen on the other man. A hint of shock within his gaze, not expecting Mike to ever ask him that. Y/N wasn’t oblivious to certain looks he’d gotten from Mike, the pings of jealousy he’d seen in the past when the conversation of dating ever came up. This one question alone sparked hope within the technician. "That depends, are you still planning on teaching me how to cook a decent meal?" Tilting his head to the side in a coy manner after his question.
The night guard wasn’t sure how to actually initiate this, perplexed and overwhelmed. But the way Y/N responded, all Mike cared about was keeping that exact expression on his face. "Of course, I'm going to teach you the perfect mac and cheese recipe, I've already practiced on getting it perfect for a special someone." He replies with a small smirk, craving to be close with Y/N in a more intimate setting.
The technician looks Mike over for a moment, a flash of pale pink shoots between his lips before his teeth chewed his bottom lip in thought. Moving closer to you, his flirtatious aura now in full effect. A gloved hand is placed over Mike's as he leans in to whisper in your ear. His body heat radiating off of him in waves, his cheek barely pressing against your own. "A special someone?" He teased politely in a low gravelly tone. Unable to say anything as he heard the technician repeat his words, taken back by the way Y/N uttered them so sweetly, never expecting the technician to physical make a move on him. "A...very special someone..." Mike says, sounding embarrassed but also eager to spend more time with Y/N.
Y/N leans back, his overly warm body no longer close to Mike, giggling at his embarrassment. He moves away to finish picking up the stain in the carpet, tossing in the dirtied towels and trash in the bucket he brought. "And...I'll allow the flirting for that night only." Mike jokingly comments, finding it adorable that Y/N got a reaction out of him.
Patting the remaining wet spots on the floor, completely finished with the blood stain, the carpet good as new. Y/N begins to gather his supplies back in the bucket he brought. Smiling like a kid who’d just received his favorite candy, standing up and grabbing the cold water bucket as well as his own. "Before we leave, I’ll give you my address. I leave out in the middle of nowhere so it’ll be a bit of a drive." The night guard looked cute with that big smile of his and Mike wondered if anyone else had ever told him that before. He didn't think Y/N knew how adorable he really was. "Sounds good to me, I don't mind the drive." Mike replies back, he didn't know what it was about his smile that he adored, but he wanted to see it more often.
The technician chuckles softly, walking towards the kitchen to dump out the cold dirty water. Washing out the towels before throwing them in the bucket, walking out of the kitchen. "I hope you don’t mind dogs, I got a very fluffy husky at home." He jokingly warns.
"I don't mind dogs at all, I love them in fact. Especially dogs like cute fluffy huskies." Mike jokes, sounding a bit flirty. He didn't even mind that Y/N had caught him flirting a bit, the night guard's personality was really fun to watch in action. "What is your husky's name by the way?" Mike asks, remembering that Y/N had told him what it was quite awhile ago.
"Ten, he’s still a puppy. All energy and little sleep." Y/N replies in a fond tone, his adoration for his dog showing fully. The man then takes out a small piece of paper, his address written in his handwriting, handing it over to Mike. "That's okay, dogs need that energy when they're puppies." Mike says with a small laugh, his expression turning more playful as he takes the piece of paper from the technician. He looks it over for a moment, reading the address to himself. Memorizing it, he put the paper in his pocket. "I should be over by about seven or eight, is that okay with you?" He offers, not wanting to be rude or intrude, not wanting to come over too early or late.
"Sounds perfect, I got some things I need to tidy up back at the house so that’ll give me some time." He says with a giddy grin, excited for the two to have a more intimate interaction outside of work. He walks backwards towards the front doors, keeping his gaze on Mike. "I'll see you around seven then." Mike says with his most charming smile as he starts to leave the building, looking forward to spending the night with the adorable technician.

Beware: this theory operates under GoldenCassidy and ShatterVictim.
If the party during which MCI were killed was Cassidy's birthday could it be the reason why she and BV are talking in the logbook?
In Fnaf 3 Golden Freddy seems to be the kid that needs the "birthday they never got to have" which makes sense if they were killed on their bday party.
During the happiest day, it's supposed to free all the spirits ofc but GF kid needs it the most. They don't just get a cake from some random animatronic like the rest, they need the reaction of the whole party which they never got to have properly.
You know who also didn't get a proper bday bc was killed during it? BV obviously.
They talk bc they are (were?) in similar situations. Cassidy asks "the party was for you" and BV answers "it was for me" (I think, might be paraphrasing a bit bc I don't remember it exactly but something along these lines). They can sort of relate to each other.
Here the happiest day would still be for Cassidy, she still gets the birthday party that was taken from her however with BV being "everywhere" he theoretically too participates in it and gets to have his closure.
In addition, Fnaf World heavily implies that "the pieces put together for us to find" are minigames in fnaf 3. We put them in place in fnaf world to be found in fnaf 3. This goes along with BV having to be put together. He gets put back by all the victims receiving a party (or participating in it in any way).
Whenever the happiest day worked to free all or not is another topic bc Cassidy stays at least until UCN. Charlie stays until the FF epilogues if we believe it's her there and not some reaction made of agony. But I don't see a reason for BV to stay around longer than FFPS at best.
So in summary Cassidy and BV talk in the logbook bc they died in similar environments. By giving Cassidy her party BV is "put together" as Cassidy is the last piece to achieve the happiest day and BV receives his closure of getting to participate in it too (since he's shattered and all around the place y'know).
Here the thing that connects them isn't an animatronic they're possessing but the circumstance of their deaths.

so, thought about the other four MCI kids in These Gilded Haunted Halls. y'know the four before Andrew.
so the original kids, in the order that they died, were:
Charlotte Charlie Emily, 12 - May 13th, 1981
Beatrice "Bea" Harper, 5 - June 13th, 1981
Fritz Smith Jr./"Junior," 4 - June 17th, 1981
Gabriel Gabrielle "Gabi" and Isaac Fitzgerald-Hernandez, 5 and 8 - June 20th, 1981.
Andrew Douglas, 13 - June 26th, 1981
this isn't about Charlie and Andrew; those two are their own cases in general.
so...what about the other four?
Beatrice "Bea" Harper (Chica):
pretty much this au's Susie equivalent: the first to die, and she had a dog! not a dead dog...just a missing one.
the dog's name was Honey; because y'know...Honey Bee? listen, she thought it was a cute idea-
not dumb; far from it. she's a bit naive and gullible, as well as an optimist through and through, but she's not stupid. plus, remember, she's five.
was pretty much the opposite of her parents, who were cynical and pessimists; they thought that Honey was dead when it was first discovered that he was missing.
Bea went to the same daycare that Cassidy was left at sometimes. she likes to ramble at him because "he seems to like listening to me talk about puppies and Fruity Maze! :D" (< context: Cassidy is both INCREDIBLY anxious and shy, as well as the fact that he struggled a lot with talking when he was a toddler (he's not. Nonverbal, exactly. i'd say maybe semiverbal? that or he was just struggling a bit. haven't 100% decided on that one), so it was less that he was trying to listen and more that he just. didn't really wanna talk).
she also saw Cassidy with Andrew at the arcade a lot, and considering how much she was in there playing Fruity Maze, it meant that she'd run into Cass a lot.
Bea was also the one who gave him the Chica plush :]
in a sense, an incident with her was how Charlie ended up getting locked out. a lot of older kids (some of Charlie's bullies, to be specific) were being Assholes™ while she was trying to get a small cupcake plush from the Prize Counter. Charlie confronts the bullies, and you can probably guess the rest from there. Bea, after witnessing him getting locked out, went to go find Henry.
how she got taken:
at the time she was murdered, her dog Honey had run off two days before while the door was open. Bea was busy trying to hand out handmade missing dog flyers since her parents, the pessimists they were, were like "he probably got hit by a car or something, there's no point in looking." not. the greatest parents, as you can guess.
after getting no luck, and after (unsuccessfully) trying to play some arcade games to cheer herself up, she went to go cry by herself in the corner.
that's when William lured her away, under the guise of helping her find her dog.
...needless to say, she didn't find her dog.
Fritz Smith Jr., aka "Junior" (Foxy):
was taken a few days after Bea.
another kid who spent time with Cassidy at Daycare.
AuDHD. won't elaborate on that.
really likes pirates. it's why Foxy's his favorite.
Fritz Smith's son :]
long story short, his parents got together as teenagers, had him young, and his mom left him with his dad.
Irish :]
THE Beloved <3 and the youngest
how he got taken:
y'know the whole autism things where you Don't Really Like Things Being Too Different? yeah...that plays a part in how Junior got taken.
Foxy was Out of Order. he REALLY didn't like that. because No, It's Time For Foxy's Show!! What Do You Mean He Isn't Here??
he had a minor meltdown over it and ran off into one of the hallways to try and calm down.
got lured by William after that, promising that Foxy had a show just for him.
Gabrielle, aka "Gabi," and Isaac Fitzgerald-Hernandez (Freddy and Bonnie, respectively):
the last two of the "regular" MCI (Andy is different, because William had planned to stop with these two).
Gabi is, once more, transfem <3
...and, like Junior, AuDHD.
her parents didn't really...understand, but they tried their best :]
another one of Cass' friends from Daycare.
it was her birthday when they were murdered :(
Isaac usually was the one who watched her.
he knew Cassidy through Gabi, and even played with the two at Freddy's often :]
they're Jeremy's younger siblings :D
how they got taken:
Jeremy (who was 12-13) was watching the two of them while they waited for the party to start later that afternoon, but had to leave to get something from the store, and he promised to be back within thirty minutes.
William Showed Up. told Gabi that he had a party for her in the back room!! away from everyone, where it was quiet!!
Gabi, who has horrible sensory issues with noise basically went :D!!
Isaac went with them because he did NOT trust that.
to be fair, William wasn't technically lying; there was a party. and everything was fine at first!!
...for about ten minutes, anyway...
Augh... The idea of each of the kids being lured off because of issues is just... painful. Also, for some reason, my brain has gone "Honey still survived, though, right? She found a home where everyone cared for her, right?"
Bea is... really hard. We used to have a dog who'd do that, and thankfully we got her home safe every time, but...
Fritz is just absolutely comprehensible. I too would follow strangers to avoid a break in routine.
And Gabi and Isaac... poor kids... I feel so bad for them.
