All modern genshin boys use 4chan. Except Zhongli ofc

Zhongli uses Facebook and gets caps lock stuck on and can't figure out how to turn it off 😔

They do all use 4chan BUT ALSO you know what I have thoughts on this and I'm subjecting you all to them:

Childe and Venti use Instagram a lot. Venti attention whores on Instagram. All the time. Like posts a selfie with irrelevant comments vaguely implying he had a bad day or something is wrong, but when people ask what he's just like "no no it's nothing" and only finally tells once he has a sufficient amount of attention.

Childe overshares. He's the dude that feels the need to broadcast every moment of his life on insta. Like my dude no one cares. Also abuses Snapchat. So many black screen rants. Updates his story 5 times a day. And it's all whining about having no gf and thus his life is sad.

Xingqiu uses Twitter and he gets into Twitter discourse on a daily basis. Like. Literally the instant there's drama of any kind he's all over it even if it's in a community he has never interacted with before. Enjoys Twitter fights for the sake of it.

Chongyun also uses Twitter but it's the opposite, he's so nice. All he ever does is leave nice comments on people's art and selfies. Also 100% simps for some Twitter egirls. Whites knights for them too. Angel.

Bennett honestly sticks to the mindless entertainment that is TikTok, and has friends on discord. He keeps away from most socials. The last 3 times he joined a social media site someone hacked his accounts.

Diluc uses Reddit no I do not accept criticism. He trauma dumps unintentionally onto random threads. Like "oh yeah my dad liked that game before he died brutally" then continues on as if he didn't just dump that information all over the internet. Shares way too much personal information in general, if anyone he knows irl ever finds his account he's screwed bc you could easily pin it to him by how much information he doesn't hesitate to give out. Is subbed to the standard subs and many many gonewild subs. It cures his loneli™

Albedo also uses Reddit and is literally. The most obnoxious. Bastard. He's one of the pretentious redditors. Have you ever used reddit and left a single short comment with an opinion or idea, or maybe a statement that was not 100% right, and someone responds with a 5 point essay on why you're not only wrong but a complete ignorant buffoon? And it's not even on something important it's like "what brand of this is best" or some bullshit? That's him. Unironically pulls "to be fair you have to have a high IQ to understand Rick and Morty"

Xiao still uses Tumblr. He uses it a lot less now bc he was originally on it for porn. He makes the posts that are just "." But then vents in the tags but like, he makes those posts on an everyday basis when he's sad at 3 am then deletes them the next morning. He's also on 4chan a lot.

Scara uses 4chan the most. Active /pol/ user. Actively takes joy in being as much of an asshole as possible. Takes joy in the suffering of others bc it makes him feel better about his own life.

Xiao is the one posting the greentext stories with the > format, telling of his daily failings. Scara is the guy that leaves super negative comments and has absolutely nothing constructive to say. They have absolutely interacted on multiple occasions. Xiao laments about how he tried and failed to speak more than 2 words to this cute cashier that works at the place he goes to every day (complete with depressed wojak for thread image) and of course Scara is there to be like "ahaha you fucking pussy" when he's literally just as much of an incel shut-in as he is

There's also some dude on the same incel-y threads as them. Lamenting that he's not like the rest of you losers, no he's pretty and tall, but something about his personality drives the foids away?? Why must he suffer so. He shouldn't even be here he says, he's not the type of loser that uses 4chan, but he overshares and regrets it whenever he goes on anything else, blah blah. Welcome to the NHL and NHL Tumblr! It's kind of hectic around here, especially during the playoffs, expansion drafts, and trade season, but I'm so glad that you're here!

So when I started liking hockey and getting into the NHL fandom, it was really important for me to find like-minded blogs because there can be discourse that feels a bit discouraging if you don't have places that you can find comfort in. If you've found a few blogs of your team(s) that you like, I would for sure go into their search and make sure that they don't have anything from previous posts that feel off to you. It's never fun to get the surprise of liking a blog and suddenly having vitriol on your feed that you weren't prepared for.

The first thing I did when joining the fandom was to learn everything I could about hockey, if you already have that under your belt, great! It's super helpful when talking to other fans to be accurate because a lot of people who are into sports are very particular about sports knowledge. For the most part, and I'm generalizing, it really doesn't matter, and they won't gatekeep you from having an enjoyable time because we all just really want to talk about how much we love our favs, but sometimes it sucks because people ask you to prove yourself. I usually just ignore those people, because like I said the vast majority don't care, but it's also good to have confidence in your opinions and knowing what you're talking about so no misinformation is happening. If you don't know a lot about hockey, I would look up the rules and watch a few games to immerse yourself, and it also helps to follow the hockey journalist and team accounts on Twitter for updates on players, trades, and anything happening in the NHL world.

Depending on which team or teams or individual players that you like, there are literally endless blogs that you can find on Tumblr to cater to you. I'm mainly a Hawks blog, so my favs, and the least dramatic blogs that I follow are @kikiskeysgame who has info about players and does breakdowns before and after games and @allthebros who has a lot of Toews/Kane posts and awesome GIFS from games and events. Every team has some incredible people like this who are really fun to follow, so just check out the team and player tags and you should be able to find some people to watch. A lot of blogs also do live blogging for games, so watch out for those too!

Like I said before, it might feel like a ton of people are gatekeeping if you are new to the blog scene, but it's really just a small percentage that are really loud. So if you like multiple teams/players on different teams, please do not be afraid to post about anything and everything that you love! I guarantee there are other blogs on here that share your passion.

As for the history of the fandom, I would say it doesn't really matter if you know what has gone on because, as you probably know, the rivalries on the teams usually carry over. So Philly/Pitts has beef, Van/Chi has beef, Pitts/Wash has beef, etc. and usually so do their fans. Sometimes that's not true, and that should totally not stop you from liking both sides. You're allowed to like what and whoever you like, and screw anyone who says you can't. Also if there's a reference to anything from a blog that doesn't make any sense, don't be afraid to ask, we are all more than happy to have asks to answer!

What else... Um, drama is usually over pretty quick, if someone says that a player is problematic do your own research because people can be bias, if your team is out of the playoffs or doesn't make it in that year people will post sad things that make it seem like they'll never get in again, but that isn't true, and even though players move teams, especially if they move to teams that your mutuals don't like, that doesn't mean you have to stop liking them, they're just being dramatic. The All Star games don't matter, but everyone seems to have fun. Everyone 'boos' Gary Bettmen at the draft, the cup presentation, and pretty much anytime we see him. You can usually find someone on here that has a link to stream the games if you don't have access. And truly, off-season on Tumblr is just a bunch of players looking dumb and having fun, and everyone goes crazy for summer pics, stories, babies, and weddings.

Also, it costs nothing to be nice, and I feel like that's something a lot of people forget when they're in a blog space, but it's important to remember that.

I think my final and most important piece of advice is love the time that you have, the teams that you love, and the players that you can because they don't stay there forever. The players leave consistently, the teams change all the time, and time seems to speed up without you noticing because truly it is incredibly fun, and that always seems to make time go faster.

LightOne in 2019

It is time for my personal post about my WOT 2019 experience which isn’t something special as usual but I love talking about it despite nobody is listening to.

I will remember this year with the following points. 

1.Hello, Asshole, I missed you.

I am a person. I am not just piece of junk to be kicked around in the cultural war of “mah diversity”. I know it is easier to see a person in one light, to check them with one mark and put them in boxes, oh, these favourite boxes of “problematic” opinions.

What was my sin this time? Let me see, did I say how bad is the casting? Nope. Did I say how I want my lovely boys and girls to stay away from the SJWs progressive shit? Nope. Did I was mean towards the chosen actors? Uhmmm…. noooope. Blood and bloody ashes! What then?!? On what basis was the biggest controversy this year in our little fandom on Tumblr?

Just some appeal to one part of fans to acknowledge the actual criticism of other part of fans. Mother’s milk in a cup!

Yep, this seemed enough for people to unfollow/block in rage.

You have to love it when you are put in a box for just one case.

I don’t have problem my fave WOT female character to be Tuon. I don’t have problem with The Stormlight Archives to be my fave with Kholin’s family in charge. I have no problem with my new fave anime of 2019 Cannon Busters’ (check it out) for having a plenty of POC main characters, and so on. No one cares if you have 99 other faves with POC main characters as you don’t agree about one (1) case, then you are racist on the spot.  

2. Instagram is on the horizon!

This year I decided to expand my options and I created a profile on Instagram. I can confirm it’s worth your time! Instagram seems to attract a huge chunk of the fandom and there is the new place to post your art pieces. You can follow me on @lightone_wot. Who knows may be next year I will have Twitter account too!

3. A dream came true.

Since 2013, the moment I read that scene in A Memory of Light, I dreamt someone to be generous enough to draw it. But time passed and no sign of fulfillment of my dream has been seen. So I took the matter in my hands and made a gamble to commission the awesome @meeppodraws who took the project to her heart and made the impossible to amaze me and even did more than what I was expecting for result. She overachieved my expectations and for this I will be forever grateful. Thank you, meeppodraws, you are wonderful and you deserve more recognition for your fantastic skills! <3

 4. Publishing WoT articles

This year I had the luck to publish two WOT articles in my fave (and the best) Bulgarian online magazine for sci-fi and fantasy. One of them was about the upcoming TV series and was published in the summer before the casting announcements. As an anecdote I can tell how my editor noted me that the article put too big light on stuff like gender issues, POC Two Rivers, feminism and so on - with one word he thought the article was too woke than expected. Wow, watch this, I am on the progressive side for once! (For the record I just tried to explain what is trending, I didn’t bash on the subject or similar.) I was the one who prepared the unaware Bulgarian audience for that fateful casting in August and oh, boy, they weren’t happy about it.

5. Facebook admin

The wheel weaves as the wheel wills and this year its will was very weird as I have been promoted as an admin in both Bulgarian WOT groups on Facebook. Weird as I didn’t ask for it and I didn’t expect it at all. But oh, well, probably my constant work pays off sometimes. So far I didn’t get into trouble and I haven’t banned people for nothing (not like some other certain Facebook queen/tyrant). It is weird as I used to be a random guy in the mass but now I am running the Bulgarian community and publish articles in respectful magazines and being on the bloody spotlight. I don’t know if this speaks well or bad for the Bulgarian fandom.

6.WOT-memes and WOT-notes are doing great.

My side pojects are doing great this year. @wot-memes is flourishing on the rising glory of new and fresh WoT memes around the fandom. @wot-notes is also getting recognition as the good fellas who had access to Charleston’s notes were kind enough to reveal more material for you to read.

7.The Fandom archives

And on the top of all through the whole year I have run one very exhausting project – I brought back from the dusty archives almost all posts in my blog from the period of 2014-2016. For every single day. It took me hours and hours in preparing that content but I hope all that hard work paid off as there are so many awesome posts who deserve your love again and again. Next year I intend to continue the project for years 2017-2018 and I hope you will appreciate them again.

8. Reddit recognition. Probably. May be. A little bit.

In the midst of the casting drama and its heated discourse my blog was used on Reddit as a source with giving links and everything. Let that thought sink in your heads. My blog was used as a source. I bet some old folk around would give a chuckle on that irony or drop a tear, who knows. :D

Generally I’m a switch-type nsfw writer haha.. I can write a character as a dom and then write them as sub, maybe even a switch. Nothing specific! Reader is always going to be AFAB (assigned female at birth aka coochie), and I’ve just recently started using that label since I found out what it meant lol. Hey, welcome to my blog! This is my -well, usually- Marvel-centric blog that has everything WinterIron, Bucky Barnes, and Tony Stark, as well as some general shitposts of my own wild adventures. I figured it’s best to keep up this trend of updating my ‘About Me’ page every follower milestone. So thank you all so much for over 3,000 followers, I never expected to break that many followers, let alone in less than a year on Tumblr. I appreciate each and everyone one of you, so really, thank you for sticking around with my bullshit.

Per the usual, I don’t do drama, I don’t do discourse. If you have a serious problem with me or anything I’ve written/done on this blog, please take it up with me personally. I will delete anon hate (if I get any, I haven’t gotten any yet…) and I think it’s all just pointless. I can be salty and derpy sometimes, but I will never purposely say something malicious. I’m not here for that negativity.

Now, to the FAQs.

Do you have an Ao3/Pillowfort/other social media?

I do have an Ao3, you can find me at Gothic_Lolita. I don’t cross-post everything, and a lot of my stuff on Ao3 isn’t WinterIron or even Bucky or Tony-centric, so if you’d like to see some other stuff I write, feel free to check over there. I don’t have a Pillowfort, nor do I plan on getting one. It took me forever to get this platform right, I’m not in the place to bother learning how to navigate a new one. I don’t do Snapchat or Instagram or Twitter because I am not nearly basic or cool enough for that stuff. The only social media I use is Tumblr and Pinterest, and trust me, my Pinterest is nothing interesting enough to be worth linking.

Do you have a tagging system?

I’m… trying, honestly. I’m trying to adjust my tags and systems because of the… wildness Tumblr is having with blocking and purging certain tags. I try to be funny in my tags, and I swear a lot, and apparently ‘fuck’ is being filtered out of the tag search, so that’s fun and completely screwed me over. As it stands, the important tags are ‘winteriron-trash writes’ (my writing tag), ‘shitposting with becca’ (any wild shitposts of my own sad creation), ‘not about marvel’ (any posts that are my general bullshittery and not Marvel related), ‘becca gives mediocre writing advice’ (a new tag I’m trying to use that’ll tag any post that I give writing advice on), ‘becca spills the tea’ (a tag for whenever I post my metas or opinions on Marvel characters, plots, etc), and the citrus scale which I explain in a post here

Do you write original fiction?

Yes, but I rarely, if ever, post it. I think I have all of one poem on Tumblr, any absolutely nothing original on Ao3. I write original works all the time, especially poetry and novels, but I’m super shy about being vulnerable and putting my stuff out there. I do wanna post my original writing somehow, but considering a fandom blog and Ao3 aren’t really the place for it, I’ll just keep it all hidden inside of me, and one day I’ll die. You’re more than welcome to ask me about any of my original writings, trust me, I am always willing to ramble about the shit I write, it’s pathetic.

What type of fanfiction do you write?

For this blog, mostly WinterIron fics or gen fics focused on Bucky or Tony. I do write about OT3s on here occasionally, but they usually include WinterIron in some way. Most of the time. I’ve somehow gotten to writing some weird stuff lately, to be honest. I’ll work with MCU, Sony Venom, and Spiderverse characters and canon, with the occasionally comic canon shoved in there. I have occasionally written crossover content with DC characters, but that usually relies on comic versions -or at least my own remixes of them- rather than the DCEU. On my masterlist, you can check out all the things I’ve written!

What are your ships besides WinterIron? NOTPs?

I’ll ship almost anything, and I’m a huge fan of rarepairs/interesting relationships simply to explore the possibilities of it, particularly when they include Bucky or Tony. My top OTPs besides WinterIron are currently Phlint, FalconShield, and BlackPepper. As for NOTPs, I strongly dislike Stucky, Stuckony, Thorki, and Staron for reasons of just not being able to see those characters together romantically. Feel free to send me the wildest rarepair your mind can think of, chances are I’ve probably already thought of it myself so I’d love the chance to ramble about/write for it. I’m a big fan of weird OT3s as well, just see the weird shit on my masterlist.

Are you in any fandoms besides Marvel?

I’m into DC, Star Trek, classic literature, Percy Jackson/HoO/Kane Chronicles, She-Ra, Carmen Sandiego, indie gaming, Supernatural, vulture culture, HYDRA Trash Party, and musicals. Yes, I’m aware I was born to be a geek. Trust me, I’ve grown very used to it.

Do you take prompts?

Honestly, sending me a prompt/headcanon/idea is a shot in the dark. I have prompts sitting in my inbox that has been there for about a year that I’ve been meaning to write. Chances are if you send me a prompt yes I’ve seen it, yes I think it’s lovely, but god I do not have the time. Occasionally a prompt will really grab my eye and I’ll just have to write something for it, but sometimes even that can take months to finish. Don’t be surprised if you send me a prompt and I randomly fill it seven months later. I’m prone to doing so. I love being tagged in existing prompt/headcanon posts and asked to write it (as I have a bad habit of hijacking posts to write stuff for them to begin with…) just know that once again the chances of me writing it are about a 50/50. Also, make sure the OP is okay with you asking me to write it, it’s never my intention to steal someone else’s spotlight, I just want to take cool ideas and throw my two cents in.

Is there anything you won’t write?

Drugs and alcohol are hard nos for me. They’re personal triggers that if you really want to know more about, you can send me an ask or message about. If I’ve listed something as a NOTP, I will not write anything with it. I strongly dislike writing kid fics, mundane AUs, damsel in distress Tony fics, and A/B/O, but I’m willing to work with an idea if it’s good enough. It really depends on the situation.

Do you offer writing advice/reviews?

Yep! I’m down to answer any questions on writing fanfic or just writing in general. I love talking about writing and all that. Seriously, I like talking about writing almost as much as I like talking about Marvel. I’m more than open to reading a few chapters of your fic or book or whatever and telling you my honest thoughts, but I probably won’t have time to read all of it if it’s more than 5k long, because I’m just a busy person. And I will be honest because I want to be helpful. Don’t ask me for my honest opinion if you just want your ego stroked.

Can I ask your opinion on [insert topic here]?

Always. I am always open to sharing my honest opinions, regardless of backlash I’ll receive for it. I’d rather be my honest self online -the one place I can be my honest self- then a fake mask made to please others. Whether it be fandom ships, in-universe meta, or non-fandom related topics, feel free to ask me. I love talking meta, or just general thoughts and opinions on random stuff. Trust me, I’m far too opinionated for my own good. Ask literally anyone who’s met me.

How long have you been writing?

All seventeen years of my sad, sad life. I loved writing stupid little stories when I was a kid, that slowly morphed into shitty “books”, then I went through a poetry phase in junior high, and when I was about 14 I wrote my first fanfiction. I posted my first fanfic when I was 15, and have been posting fanfiction for over a year and a half now. I started Tumblr in late February but didn’t start writing fics here until about March because I am a shy bitch.

Aaaaaaand now for some stupid shit about me you didn’t ask for.

My name is Becca, or Winter, or Dumbass, whatever you prefer, and I’m a dumbfuck 17 yr old lesbian from upstate New York. (The ‘upstate’ part is important. Don’t ask me if I live in NYC. Just don’t.) I’m a junior in high school and planning to study English and Marketing in college, to hopefully become an editor. Hopefully. I’m actually a pretty boring and dumb bitch, which makes it all the more concerning that I am steadily gaining popularity on this hellsite. Someone help me.

I mentioned some of my interests above, but some other stuff I’m into includes knitting, playing piano, tea, collecting (hoarding) notebooks, photography, editing, music, and being a general idiot. I’m a wild child in ripped jeans and a leather jacket, which should not fool you because I’m far too shy and afraid of everything to be cool like that. I sound a lot cooler online because I’ve gotten so used to online interactions from making friends and running my own Discord server, but in real life I am unrecognizable. I’ve been in a grade of 60 people with the same people since kindergarten and some of them still don’t know my name.

I’m mentally ill and all that, but we’re working on getting… better. Writing schedules are a mess from me and sometimes I’m falling apart so, that’s fun. It doesn’t usually affect my blog because I internalize that shit, but occasionally the self-deprecating humor can get to be a little too close to the truth. And just the general spastic nature of my blog reflects the utter chaos of my mind.

So anyway, that’s me, please be my friend. Also, because this seems to come up more and more. Please don’t be afraid of me/intimidated by me. I know I look all cool and popular, but I am literally a hot mess just like the rest of us. If you want to climb your way into my messages and just,,,, scream at me about something you think I’d like, or just scream in general, go ahead. I really won’t mind, I promise. I need… friends, or so my therapist tells me.

You know drama channels have always confused me greatly but I’ve never really felt the need to like...make some kinda rant on them because I’ve always just been able to ignore them. But I think drama channels have been the center of attention on Youtube for quite a while but especially now and I just wanted to get out my opinion(that nobody asked for lmao) because I think the current things happening among the beauty community really highlight just how toxic these people tend to be, and how damaging it can actually be to you to constantly be watching them(coming from the standpoint of someone who used to watch these people religiously).

I think my biggest general issue by far is the blatant hypocrisy these people often show across their videos. Obviously this post doesn’t speak for all drama channels by any means; some are perfectly capable of being rational and logical, and some just play up the whole “drama queen” factor for entertainment! This also isn’t about news channels either. Here I’m mainly talking about a lot of the popular drama channels(I’m gonna try not to name drop because I don’t need their stans trying to come for me in this post like they love to do). The biggest one I see is how a lot of drama channels- in particular ones that talk about the beauty community- will constantly call out others for contributing to “cancel culture” while blatantly contributing to it themselves. If you for some reason don’t know what “cancel culture” is, its a broad term used to describe the state of internet discourse today; where people seem to enjoy “canceling” or “exposing” people to an unhealthy degree. They like looking deep into the pasts of the people they dislike in an attempt to dig up past mistakes they have made; they will then often present this knowledge as if the person still does/thinks these things today with no actual evidence that they do. This of course annoys me to no fucking end because us humans are constantly, and I mean constantly, evolving. Our personalities and opinions can change almost constantly. I’m willing to bet money that you are not the same person you were 2 years ago(let alone 5 or more). So seeing these drama channels constantly calling out this toxic mentality was really nice! Until(after looking into current drama surrounding them and either the people they talk about or people who disagree)I realized something important.

Drama channels are literally the biggest contributors to cancel culture. Cancel culture is what pays these peoples bills. Cancel culture is their day job.

I mean think about it, these people’s channels literally revolve around spreading info about your favorite influencers in the hopes to “cancel” or “drag” them. For some drama channels that’s literally their lives. And I don’t know about you but to me that lifestyle seems extremely toxic, and in my opinion is most likely what contributes to the heads of these channels often being extremely defensive, petty, and angry. When you surround your life and your job with nothing but the negative and never truly separate yourself, that can be really unhealthy for the mind. 

Speaking of being overly defensive, that brings me to my next point. Most drama channels are extremely, extremely bigoted. Now when I say that I know people are gonna think I’m referring to the typical way this word is used on sites like this; to call out racists and whatnot, but in actuality I am using this term in the context of its actual definition:

Having or revealing an obstinate belief in the superiority of one's own opinions and a prejudiced intolerance of the opinions of others.

Let me tell you something. If a drama channel tells you ecstatically to “Please leave your opinions down below!” because they’re sooooooo interested, do yourself a big favor and just never believe them. Because trust me, more often than not these people do not actually want or give a flying fuck about your opinion unless you agree with them in some way or otherwise kiss their ass. If you do happen to share your disagreement with them one of 2 things will happen:

1. You will be ignored

2. You will get a snarky, petty, condescending reply that implies you’re an idiot. How dare you disagree with them!

I’m not talking about these people just disagreeing back; in fact its totally fine to express disagreement; if you can do so in a mature, logical manner. These people almost never do this. Do not expect an actual healthy debate from these people. Expect them to tell you you’re an idiot for disagreeing with them, provide zero evidence for why you’re wrong, call you some condescending name like “hunny” or “sweety” and end their reply with a GIF of a sassy black lady drinking tea in a lame attempt at being comedic. Drama channels love to dish out criticism, but take absolutely none. They just want to talk shit, get paid for it, and stay in their little echo chambers. 

To be honest, I see drama channels as that one over-exaggerated bitchy group of teenagers you see in every teen drama. You know the kind; the ones that constantly love to talk shit about everyone and act like they are somehow above any wrongdoing? The ones that feed off of negativity and putting others down? 

Anyways, that’s just some random thoughts I had to get out. I’m just so tired of all the stupid petty shit you see all over social media and while I know realistically making this post is like talking to a wall, I just thought why not.
