Thoughts On The Final Noragami Chapter

⚠️Will Contain Spoilers!⚠️

Now that it’s been a few days, I wanted to share my thoughts about the ending. Overall, I liked it. I honestly assumed the ending would be sad or bitter sweet at best, and while the latter can be argued, I’m glad everyone got their happy ending.

I heard someone say this felt like an epilogue rather than an ending and I have to agree. It was rushed, and there’s many plot points that hadn’t had proper concussions or will ever get answered. Some examples being are Yukine and Kazuma’s names still cracked, the vents that were still opened, all the shinkis exposed/died to ggs, heaven as a whole, how Hiyori got un-shinkied and probably a LOT more. I would have liked to see more loose ends tied up, but I guess it’s up to us to assume what happened. (Fanfic writers this is your time!)

What I did enjoy most is that this chapter was all about healing and new beginnings! Many characters got closure to their arcs that wrapped up sweetly.

I’m gonna go through some of my favorite panels and express my thoughts or things I liked.

First and foremost, Doctor Hiyori! She continues to help people with a smile. Glad to see many people’s prediction were right 😄

It was nice to see Yuka get the closure she needed and finally be able to grieve. She caught a glimpse of her brother through the Sakura trees just like Yato hoped she would. All Yukine wanted was his sister to be happy and it finally came true.

Take and Kiun being dads, and Take letting them know that their is nothing to be ashamed of with reincarnation because he is like them. He is helping to end heaven’s stigma. Not shown but, older Ebisu! He is growing up 🥹

Glad to see Bishamon back in action. It looks like her shinki can now take the form of the limbs that she badly damaged during the heaven arc. A bonus is Kazumas new glasses! They look cute ☺️ Not sure why Yato didn’t decide to release him but I thought the comment where Yato tells yukine that Kazuma was his little brother was funny. Yato and bishamon truly are divorced parents.

Though I do wish this was handled differently, I find it hilarious that Yato was saved through the power of Twitter and then Noragami immediately started trending. A true full circle moment 🙏

I liked that this panel showed that Trauma doesn’t go away, but instead you learn to heal and live with it. Sometimes the best way to help someone is just being there for them and showing that they’re not alone ❤️ Also PAPAGAMI

This page was everything to me. I am so happy that Hiiro got her happy ending and that she is learning to heal. She was loved! She doesn’t need to be a tool and pretend anymore. She can be herself and mend the relationships with those around her.

God Yato watching her all these years. Hiyori went through a lot the final arc. She may not have been in the center of the battle, but she was the one behind the scenes responsible for telling Yuka the truth, and helping Hiiro realize she is more than Father’s tool. She gave her life trying to help everyone, and though she miraculously came back, it cost her memory. After everything that happened Yato never wanted to put her in that position again. She died in his arms and he was forced to name her. I can understand wanting to give her space until she can heal physically and mentally. Their ties were never severed, and years later in the spring, when the Sakuras bloomed, she smelled him and remembered.

It reminds me of the saying, “If you love something, set it free but if it comes back to you, it’s yours.”

Whether you see them as platonic or romantic, they are meant to be by each other’s side❤️

I am so glad I got to experience Noragami the final 3 years of its run. It was the first manga I had ever read, and will forever hold a special place in my heart. It inspired me to write, create art, and join many fun experiences like bigbangs and zines.

It had been a long, torturous six months for Steve.

A lot had changed in that time, but some things still stayed the same. One being the relationship between you and him.

You had shown no interest in rekindling your relationship and it killed him a little more every day. You’d kept your word and kept things civil for Scarlett. You two basically were nothing but co-parents.

That went to say, you hadn’t been cold to him. You’d been your warm, welcoming, sweet self he knew you’d always been. It just hurt knowing you were no longer his.

Scarlett was growing like a weed.

He was so happy to have this little girl in his life. One that made him smile, made him laugh, filled him with so much love he thought he’d burst. Scarlett made him want to become a better person.

Both you and Scarlett did. That’s why he was determined to right his wrongs and get you back.

Of course, if you didn’t want him back, he’d respect that, but it didn’t mean he wasn’t going to try. He had to build your relationship from the group up at this point.

It’d been six months since you and Scarlett had walked into his life and while they may have been long and torturous, they’d been some of the happiest. His little girl was now 15 months—already over a year old and learning something new every day.

He got to see her first steps, miraculously, like she’d been saving the skill just to show off for her daddy. She’d toddled right into his arms and he had been so, so proud of her.

She’d turned one and you had invited him to her party. You’d been serious when you said you weren’t going to keep her from him and he was glad because nothing made his heart soar more than to see you and Scarlett together.

Her party had been a success and it had been hilarious to see Scarlett try to eat the piece of cake you’d cut for her and set on her high chair try. She’d dug in with both hands, getting more icing and cake on her than in her mouth, he was sure.

She’d gotten loads of presents, had lots of fun and crashed for a nap before the party had even finished. The day had ended when you and he went for a walk with her, Scarlett fast asleep in his arms. It had almost felt domestic.

Too bad it wasn’t, though.

While he desperately wanted to win you back, he was also trying to become the best dad he could. He’d missed so much in just the 16 months he’d been gone. He’d missed your pregnancy, her birth, her first words, the first time she rolled over and crawled. From now on, he refused to miss anything else.

That was why he was surprised when you showed up at his house with Scarlett one afternoon.

“What are you doing here?” he asked, “Not that I’m not glad to see you both.”

“You were supposed to meet us at the park a few hours ago. I just wanted to stop in and make sure everything was okay.”

He would be lying if he said it didn’t spark a tiny bit of happiness when he saw how worried you looked.

“Shit. I’m sorry. Come on in,” he said, opening the door wider.

“You sure? If you’re busy we don’t want to be a bother…”

“You’re never a bother,” he promised.

You nodded, walking in. Scarlett immediately had her arms out, babbling excitedly.

“Da da! Da da!”

He smiled, heart tugging at the fact that she was now calling him dada. Her first words, naturally, had been “ma ma”, but when she first called him dada, he thought his heart melted.

“Hi sweetheart,” he smiled, taking her from your arms, kissing her cheek, “Have you been a good girl for your mommy?”

“Always,” you chuckled, setting the diaper bag down, “If you were busy, it’s fine, we could just reschedule.”

“No, um, I was actually at therapy,” he said, sheepishly.

“Oh,” you said, brows raised to the ceiling, “I didn’t realize you were in therapy. That’s…That’s great Steve.”

The smile you gave him could have easily melted his heart as much as when Scarlett had first called him dada. He was still so incredibly in love with you, he wish you knew just how much.

“Yeah,” he said softly, pulling Scarlett’s shirt down where it had ridden up her tummy, “I needed to work through a lot of things. So I can be the best dad…and person I can be.”

You didn’t miss his hesitation. He really had done amazing with Scarlett. He was a natural with her and she absolutely adored her daddy.

“I’m glad,” you said.

You meant it, too.

“Come on in,” Steve said, “We can get her set up in the living room with some toys and a movie, if you’d like.”

You nodded, following him further into the house.

You’re not sure how the conversation got started, but then you were fishing through your diaper bag for a photo album.

It was one you’d made for him, in fact, to give to him.

“I hate that I wasn’t there for her birth or to see you pregnant,” he’d frowned.

“About that…” you began hesitantly, “Is it okay if I show you some pictures?”

“Of course, yeah,” he nodded, enthusiastically.

So now, you were situated on Steve’s couch, Scarlett on his lap, watching the movie on tv and the photo album in your lap, full of the polaroids you’d taken of Scarlett’s journey.

“I actually documented all that I could in hopes you might want to see it one day,” you said softly, feeling a little embarrassed at the amount of pictures you’d taken.

You’d taken a picture of your growing bump, weekly. Not only was it for Steve, but it really helped you see how your belly was changing from month to month.

There were photos of you at you at your baby shower, your flowing dress not doing much to hide how big you’d grown while Scarlett was still in utero.

There were photos of her after she was born, a few of you holding her and gazing at her. The moment you laid eyes on her, you’d fallen in love, even if she did look like Steve. It was a painful reminder of your failed relationship with him, but she was also a celebration of that same bond. One that tied you to him forever. It had been overwhelming at first, but now you were so glad you had her. Seeing Steve with her just doubled your appreciation for her existence.

There were also a scattering of photos of baby Scarlett. You managed to get at least one a month, leading up until she was eight months. It was ironic because at the time when you’d snapped that picture of her at eight months, you’d had no idea that Steve would be meeting her just a month later.

He was enraptured, looking at the pictures of you. His fingers grazed over one of you at six months pregnant. You’d been in the middle of laughing when your mom had taken it. Steve just stared at it, as if trying to memorize it.

“You looked beautiful when you were pregnant,” he breathed, not realizing he’d voiced the thought out loud.

“As opposed to now?” you teased, brow raised.

His head snapped up, eyes meeting yours and you swore his face turned, well, scarlet.

“No definitely not! I mean I’m not saying you’re ugly—you’ve never been—you just looked really pretty in that picture and while pre-”

You burst out laughing then.

“Breathe, Steve, I was just kidding.”

He sighed in relief, a small smile twisting his lips.

“Your face was hilarious,” you giggled, “You we’re about ten seconds from panicking.”

“Ten seconds? I was panicking,” he laughed, “All because I was trying to say just how beautiful you are.”

The awkward silence fell over you at his words, your cheeks heating. It was hard to forget the shared past you two had, after all, you had a child together. But sometimes, like now, it felt like the two of you tiptoed around the fact.

The silence was broken by Scarlett’s fussing. She was squirming, trying to get out of Steve’s lap and on the floor.

“Sorry, sweetie,” he said, setting her on the floor where she immediately went toddling for her toys.

“So, anyways,” you said, turning back to the album, “This was when she was born. My mom took the picture the moment they set her in my arms.”

Steve studied the picture. You looked tired from the labor, hesitant, but you glowed with happiness all the same. The look in your eyes as you looked at yours and his daughter set his heart alight.

“She was so tiny,” he whispered.

“Tiny but mighty,” you smiled, “She came into the world with a powerful cry, that’s for sure. Guess she wasn’t too thrilled with the world at first glance.”

“Can’t blame her there,” he chuckled.

You turned the page, ready to show him some more pictures when he spoke your name.

“Y/N,” he said, lowly.

When had he gotten so close to you? You swore there was more space between you earlier.

“Yeah?”

His face was dangerously close to yours and alarm bells were going off in your head and heart. You couldn’t let yourself give in to him, even if you desperately wanted to.

“I can’t tell you how much it means that you did all of this for me,” he said, voice barely a whisper now.

Shit, his eyes kept dropping towards your lips. Yours kept doing the same to his.

You weren’t going to give in, you were not going to give in.

Your breathing hitched as his head lowered. You could stop this at any time.

But, you didn’t.

His lips came down on yours, softly, hesitantly. When you didn’t move away, he pressed them more firmly against yours, his hand coming up to cup your cheek.

It had been more than two years at this point since you’d last kissed him. You felt like a plant starved of water, drinking in all you can get to survive and thrive.

Kissing him felt like home. The way his soft lips moved gracefully against yours, his hand so soft on your cheek.

That is when reality hit you again.

You broke away from him, sitting back instantly.

“Y/N-” he started, just out of breath from the shared kiss as you were.

“I um, I better get going. It’s getting late and I’ve got to get Scarlett some dinner.”

You were already up and off the couch, picking up Scarlett’s belongings and throwing them in the diaper bag.

“You could stay and-”

You were shaking your head before he could finish his sentence.

“No, that’s okay. I really need to get going. Maybe we can meet up again this weekend if that’s okay with you?”

“Uh yeah, yeah. I’m free,” he said, mind still reeling from the kiss.

He desperately wanted you to stay, but he wasn’t going to force it. He had scared you off enough as it was already, he supposed.

You scooped up Scarlett in your arms.

“Tell daddy bye bye, we’ve got to go.”

He gave her a kiss on the cheek and watched, frozen, unable to do anything, as you headed to the door. The last thing he heard before the door shut behind you was Scarlett.

“Bye, dada.”

He sunk to the couch, hands raking through his hair.

Hello hello I gots some questions if you don’t mind

So we know some hybrids from different sub species that are in relationships like Lizzie and Joel and doc and etho but I was wondering if there were any specific sub species that only stay with their own type of sub species? And if there is, do or would they ever give others who are from the same sub species as them a glare if they saw a person from their same sub species in a relationship with a hybrid or mutant of different sub species? Example: Joel and Lizzie, would any of the cat hybrids ever do a double take on her being married to a butterfly hybrid? (I know they probably wouldn’t but this was for the sake of an example)

Is there a number in mind for how many different types of sub species are living in the under city? Or would it be like trying to count each specific m&m in a large bowl? Is there too many sub species to count or would you use a broad number like for example 1000 to get your point across?

Are there other new types of sub species you have in mind but haven’t talked about yet? (Ignore this question if it’s a large spoiler LMAO)

Are there any other sub species that have a bad reputation? I’m aware that creeper hybrids are know to be intimidating and most avoid them (at least I’m pretty sure) but are there any hybrids or mutants that when people learn what sub species they are they immediately hate and or dislike them? 1. Not really, no, or at least, I never intend to explore that. I think the closest we might get are perhaps blaze-borns or warden mutants, both of whom are known for being very solitary and keeping to their own areas, not usually living in the main cavern, but I don’t think there would be any sort of dislike/unhappiness from anyone if someone of that subspecies dated/married outside of it. The under-city is big, yeah, but it’s not that big so it’s always been common practice for people to mix and match. It’s just been growing more common than ever thanks to how Doc and Etho’s work has been connecting the various levels of the city like never before!

2. I think the m&ms in a bowl allegory is the best…there’s a LOT of them, I don’t want to put any sort of number on it just for the sake of IRL reasons, which are that I do make up parts of this AU as I go along, and I’d hate to give myself some pre-determined boundary for how creative and crazy we can get with all of these hybrids/mutants…so let’s just say A LOT and leave it at that.

4. I think ‘bad’ reputation is the wrong way of putting it. No one necessarily has an immediate hatred for another based solely on subspecies. I mean, Ren and Lizzie are friends! And they’re literally a dog and a cat! But there are other sorts of reputations that can carry with someone’s subspecies. There’s Doc, of course, who we know is a sweetheart and a gentle giant but people are afraid of him because he’s nearly seven feet tall and terrifying-looking, that’s not his fault, though…and the augmentations aren’t exactly helping. 😭 We will also be learning more about dog hybrid clans with Ren, the deep dark with Cub, and blaze-born pyres with Tango, so through that I hope to show a bit more nuance in the traits and tendencies of all these various subspecies, because it is quite a lot of fun!

-Granting your family the authority to become your guardians, you were allowed to stay with him, as everything was discovered about what Hydra did to you, from the torture to the brainwashing, turning you into a sleeper agent, turning you into a weapon.

-You were a kid, one who should have never dealt with anything like that, but lucky for you, your new family was ready to take the challenge head on.

-They never made you feel like a burden, never yelled at you, they didn’t treat you like a weapon, like they should be afraid of you.

-Your large appetite surprised them, as you had been on ice for so many years, having been taken in 1937, just before WWII, to be a weapon, but they underestimated the complexity of the program and just iced you until they could handle the project.

-You were almost like an animal, protective of your food, as if they would take it away, because it happened before, but Eve and Parvati, who were in charge of feeding you, would just grin and give you another helping.

-Buddha was another one in charge of your food, giving you so many different types of treats that it was almost overwhelming.

-Going to therapy was very hard for you, as your memories, your mind, was all jumbled, it was hard to focus sometimes, and you would lash out in anger or you would completely shut down.

-Your massive family was with you, going with you to therapy, holding your hand, grounding you, taking it one step at a time, baby steps are what Kojiro called it, telling you that you had to learn how to walk again before you could run.

-You had activities with each one of your family members, from simple things like meditating, yoga with Shiva turned out to be way harder than it looked, sparring with Hercules, Lu Bu, and Thor helped a lot, as it was a good way to burn stress and energy, Adam would just let you sit with him and he would dote on you, patting your hair gently, while Loki and Raiden were trying to teach you how to have fun.

-Jack was enjoying the market with you, monitoring your inner colors, how you were feeling, as you both looked at the different booths, getting fruits and veggies.

-Jack was the one to help you go out in public, as they didn’t want you to be a hermit, but they never forced you into high stress situations, so doing things like this, going to the farmer’s market which you’ve been too a few times, was okay.

Hello there ☺️ I don’t know if you’ve already talked about this or have a fic where you address this issue, but here it goes anyways:

What do you think about the whole Mitch situation? We know that he was taking advantage of Sienna and she just couldn’t take it anymore and let it all out in front of everyone. Then, we see how the whole hospital starts to make fun of Mitch and even Sienna seems to think he deserves the treatment he is getting for being lazy, not taking his work or the patients seriously, and taking advantage of her good nature. Afterwards, we find out that Mitch left Edenbrook because of the bullying he was receiving and we see that Sienna feels bad about it.

This storyline always makes me feel conflicted. I think that there’s an option where MC can say that this isn’t high school or something and no one should be bullied and Sienna gets upset to see MC standing up for Mitch. I may be wrong about this since it’s been a while since the last time I replayed these chapters.

I know Mitch totally deserved to be called out and part of Sienna’s arc is to learn how to stand up for herself before it gets to the point where she cannot longer control her emotions. It happened with Wayne in book 1 and again with Mitch in book 2. Different types of relationship with each, but both were mistreating her for an extended period of time. But I’ll say that it was surprising to see a character that is as kind as Sienna be vindictive for a hot minute. What do you think about this? Does it align with your version of her?

Overall, it made little sense that the interns in second year performed so poorly. In book 1, everyone was a stellar intern and had to deal with complex cases alone. Sienna had to tell patients that they were terminal on her intern year. MC and Jackie used the defibrillator on a patient on their first day and were successful. We were told Edenbrook only accepted the best of the best only to have such lackluster interns on the second book 😐 I understand it was some kind of new program, but it bothered me regardless haha

Hello, Fellow Sienna Fan!

I have so many Sienna stories that I want to write. She's practically my second MC. But, the fandom is so dead now that I wonder, who even cares about those fics.

Writing about her relationship with Mitch is definitely on the list -- all the things we don't see in canon. While I haven't written a fic about it before, I included Sienna's thoughts and feelings about the situation in my original Maxenna series in Part 2 and end of Part 3.

Sienna was conflicted about what happened with Mitch. She put up with a lot because she genuinely thought she was helping him. After everything that happened with Cassie and Danny, she lost her patience with his laziness, but more than that, she found her voice.

While Cassie didn't agree with the bullying, she supported Sienna in public but let her know how she felt in private. Sienna knew she'd gone far too, but all the anger she felt, the helplessness during the poison attack, came out. I don't think it was vindictiveness from Sienna at all; rather her eyes finally opened to what was happening around her. Life was too short to put up with someone who didn't respect medicine or was willing to learn.

In my hc, it was almost 7 or 8 months into residency when the showdown with Mitch happened. (I believe the timeline in canon is likely close to that). Sienna always felt guilty about him leaving because she knew the bullying was her fault. She also felt that he didn't take his job seriously.

We know from canon that Mitch felt inadequate and covered it up with his attitude. But he didn't make that confession until after. So, as far as Sienna was concerned, he was not serious about being a doctor.

One of the lessons from each book is that medicine is hard, it's not predictable and requires fortitude to survive in that career. In book 1, all of the interns faced hard choices. In book 3, it's about adversity from within and without, and learning to compromise so that you don't lose right of the big picture.

In book 2, the residents become mentors to the next crop of interns and it's time to step up and lead. It's not that the interns were bad; the lesson we were expected to take, I believe, is that doctors are only as good as those who train them. Harper Emery tells Aurora the same thing. MC is good because they learned from Ethan Ramsey. And yet, despite everything, mistakes happen because medicine is uncertain.

How long did these feelings persist/do they still feel this way? Aria was a lot less guarded romantically when she was a little younger and fell pretty easily for people who took interest in her. She became involved with a Tiefling girl she met in Eastgate for quite a while who showed her a lot of places that would eventually become some of her favorite spots like The Crimson Coin. Ultimately it didn't work out because Aria became rather emotionally dependant on her. Feelings persisted for a while after and she was pretty emotionally devastated at the time but she's moved on for the most part.

📙 What kind of subjects (of conversation, of discussion, in school, or whatever) does your OC find interesting or engaging or that they can talk for hours about? What kind of stuff do they just find fun?

What things bore your OC to tears and they couldn’t care less about? Why?

Aria is passionate about a few subjects that she doesn't really get to talk about that much without getting disapproving looks from other members of Absalom aristocracy. unsurprisingly she loves talking about firearms whether it be types of firearms, new innovations in the tech, or how to properly wield one. If someone ever asked her how to use one she'd be uncharacteristically enthusiastic about teaching them. She also has a fascination with devils, demons and daemons and even though she doesn't worship any of them and has a relatively rudimentary understanding of them, she's always eager to learn more. Especially devils. She just thinks they're neat! Aria finds herself bored with any extensive discussion regarding morality, politics, history (depending on the subject)... and mathematics. 💗 What would your OC say is their best feature? Why? What do their friends / family / lover(s) / people they know think is their best feature and why? Physically, Aria would probably consider her eyes to be her best feature. She always tries to make them pop. Personality-wise, Aria is a little more insecure because she receives much more criticism on that but she thinks of herself as someone who is easily able to find fun and bring it to others whether they want to or not lol. Her great-grandfather may say that her rather cutthroat attitude is a promising trait in a young businesswoman. Tyrel might be the only person in Golarion who is put in a better mood by being in proximity to Camellia but he loves her lots... Other than that, feeling as though he got the better of someone during an interaction is very satisfying to him. I wouldn't classify him as a very happy person generally. He suffers from imposter syndrome pretty badly and he doesn't particularly like himself that much even though he likes where his life ended up. He does enjoy making those close to him happy and he's usually pretty good at it with his quick wit when he's not being selfish.

What is your OC’s most hated food? Stuff they can’t stand to eat or drink? Tyrel loves a good roasted goose! The family chef used to make it for his birthday when he was little and he's very nostalgic for it! He's not too picky, and I wouldn't say he hates it but I'd say he is usually disappointed by meals that include a salad. Adelaide struggles to show affection to other people even when she genuinely cares for them. A lot of her attempts to do so when she was very young were perceived as clumsy or awkward by her family and as a result, she has a hard time showing it as an adult. Part of why she gravitates toward Shardik and animals in general is that they don't make the same judgments that people do so she feels a lot safer being affectionate with them :') 🌺 Does your OC have any tattoos or other body art? I do the same all the time and I think that with Jason, being the gentle giant he is, it would never be a problem interacting with him. Like I said in my jason hc he gets frustrated very easily about his own mistakes ecc and he tends too to bottled up everything so he's really understanding of when you're feeling like this and tries, at the best of his capacities without pushing you, to help you if he notices something is not okay. 

To make sure you don't stay silent when something is bothering you he will take his time to learn what you like and dislike so he can avoid upsetting you. 

Jason really needs someone who can take care of him. He has spent so much time alone and while he has eventually got used to it, it still feels very lonely to be always on your own and having to kill everyone who approaches you. He'll be hesitant at first and will try to be the one taking care of you but eventually he'll let go and accept your help and care gladly♡

The "I eventually cry about it later" is so relatable lol. Surprisingly Jason is too very straight to the point when he has to and he will not cry about it later, he will cry about it not even a second after if it's something about you that he has to be blunt with. 

Outdoor activities? Yes, to all of them. Jason is the fucking king of outdoor activities. You're going to have the best dates in the woods with him 

And when he sees you picking up the trash from the ground? You got him at your feet, babes. That's probably the reason he didn't kill you, because you were actually respectful and a nice person who just wanted to see nature. 

Please teach him how to crochet so you both can make matching sweaters for each other 

He relates so much with the whole "trust before touch" thing. Taking in consideration what has happened to him he will obviously be very guarded about letting people touch him ecc but once he gets close enough you won't be able to keep him away from you. 

He will cry if you give him little pats in the head or medicate his wounds when he comes back home. He loves the feeling of being taken care of and he actually finds endearing how many things you're willing to do for him.

Omg I’m so glad you like my version of Grodd. I to don’t really enjoy his on screen adaptations, I think they did him dirty in the Flash. I mean hello, telepathic gorilla! He’s baby. Similar to Ivy, his motives makes sense, his execution is just what’s bad. But I wanted to bring in some more outside characters, maybe an excuse to have the Gotham characters interact with some people from Flash. They already have a branch out to Arrow.

I’m also really glad you’re enjoying Basil! I’m loving him so much so far. I feel like he’s way smarter than he lets off. He likes to seem nonchalant and I feel like he’s more on the emotionless side like Y/N and Victor. Considering he himself isn’t a human, he probably doesn’t care as deeply about human life as Maggie does.

I’m not quite sure about adding anyone else just yet. Of course I do love the idea, so thank you for suggesting it. But I don’t think now is the right time. There’s a lot to write already if that makes sense. But don’t worry, Maggie does have traumatised siblings. Have you seen Oliver and Thea? They are both messes. I mean Oliver has 8 seasons worth of trauma 😂 plus Thea after she comes back to life and half of her soul is gone because of thre Lazarus pit. And then she learns that’s her father isn’t even her father and has to be trained by Malcom Merlyn. So not against new characters, maybe let’s just flesh out these ones a little more first. Maybe you could ask Flay if they have any ideas for someone new?

So how about if I have her interact with her siblings a little more. Maybe Thea comes to her confessing she found out the truth about who her father is. I feel like Maggie would feel like an ass for not being there for her little sister. Not that she knew this revelation would happen, but she’d certainly blame herself for not checking in more. And it could be fun to have Oliver find out just how deep his little sister has gotten tangled in this villain web. I feel like he would try to “ground” her, and this would probably result in a verbal fight with Y/N and a physical fight with Victor.

I don’t think I’ve written much of Maggie just interacting with Victor yet. So maybe I’ll have them bond a bit more. But I feel like although he’s only a yandre for Y/N (and by association her “kids”) he doesn’t like when people try to control his “play things” so if Oliver came to town demanding Maggie come back home, or is Kara did the same for Basil, he would flip. Nobody takes them away from him, he wants to see their potential, and would be bored if they became goody two shoes hero’s.

But if it’s more trauma you want over all, I can do that! I like being a mean writer and torturing my Oc’s. Also if you’re interested and you have Wattpad, I have another Gotham series on there. There’s not as much written for that because I’ve been busy, but it’s in collaboration with one of my IRL friends Oc’s (I can link their AO3 account if you’re interested in that too, they have over a hundred chapters so you won’t get bored lol)

It’s closer to the comic book portrayal of the characters. And it focuses more on the hero side of things instead of the villains. The main focus is on the bat fam. 🍵How do I practice self compassion when struggling with depression?

I acknowledge the little things. Every achievement, no matter how small, is something to be proud of. I remind myself despite my lack of motivation/energy, all of my skills and aspirations are still there. I will get back to them in time, when it's right for me.

Gratitude, too. All of the small things in life that give me comfort or make life easier can be cherished.

I am patient with myself and with life. Things may pile up, but I can get through them. I may fall behind what I expected, but I am still making progress.

Sometimes the best progress comes after a period of rest. I can feel guilty about pushing myself to burnout, but I can also use this time to identify stressors that I can manage more effectively in the future.

🍵What are some positive things that can come from experiencing anxiety?

For me anxiety means I can slow down my thinking before taking action. Sometimes this means I have racing thoughts, but over time I'm learning how to carefully listen to what my fears are. They be irrational, but there may be a kernel of truth in them that is worth listening to. 🍵What can I let go of today?

I've let go of a lot of items this month. I really appreciate having a less cluttered space. It's given me new appreciation for the things I have and use regularly. Mentally, though, I want to and *can* let go of the belief I need others to "get" me. Some people refuse to understand me. Some people just made the choice to never have empathy or sympathy or even try for me, and that doesn't reflect negatively on myself. I don't have to make myself smaller for everyone to accept who I am.

✝️ I've really liked Job this month. And that Star Trek quote "It is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose, that is not a weakness, that is life" (or something like that - don't quote me).

When I was atheist, well more like agnostic, I felt like everything was so nihilistic. And then I realized that if nihilism can't be proven false, then I can just choose something else. What could someone tell me? No? Why would they think it would matter to tell me no if it doesn't matter? ☺️

I accepted my resentments with no justification. We need something more complex than that to cope rationally, it's just the human condition. We do better when things have meaning. And we have enough of God's image in us to make that image clearer with guidance.

The problem of evil with my atheist worldview is that it just is. It is just evil. It is just cruel. Accepting God means accepting that it doesn't have to be evil. It doesn't have to be cruel. It can just be. You can accept the bad things, because you are grateful that you are human enough to perceive them as bad. That means you have wisdom, a soul. All of these things are going to happen - famine, disease, death. But if you blame the actors in this world or even yourself, you're not seeing the full picture. You could find the director of the act you play and see the world as a story with themes and lessons, not abject and irrational suffering. And the best part about adopting this belief is that it will come true the stronger you believe it. You can act better in line with your role now.

And I have better ways to spend my time than engaging in addictive drama (when I'm in line with my goals that is). Did God know Eve would eat it, like Jesus knew Judas would betray him? Is that why women aren't afraid of angels when they speak to them? That's more fun. But helping others still matters. That's why I want to be more active on 7Cups. ^__^

Anyway... My new Pinhead figure should be coming TODAY! But it has my old apartment number (same building). I'm worried about this but trying to work up the courage to ask for help maybe even knock on the door of that person if needed.. Sigh. I don't want to. I feel silly. But you know in the grand scheme of things it isn't a big deal. I've solved much worse.

Beauty is one of my absolute favorite series. The way my whole day just got better with this drabble! It was so nice to see the beginnings of a redemption arc for Jin even if he still has a lot of learning to do 😆

Right now, I feel like he's enjoying time with his friends and the kids, especially the new baby, teaching him things that most definitely annoy Taehyung like he did with Hyejin back then. Also teaming up with Yoongi on that one since they both love making Taehyung’s life harder than it has to be. I also kinda want him to find love on the way because I feel like he'd be very cute in a relationship. It’s a trade-off

Soobin can see at least better than you and you can see colors better than him

He likes the team aspect of it

He doesn’t really think about it much other than that!

To him, it’s just a fact of life

He’ll help you find your glasses the way you would help him look for his wallet

He’s all too happy to accompany you each time you go shopping for a new pair too

He takes finding the Perfect Pair for you very seriously

Similar to Soobin, Taehyun doesn’t think too much about the fact that you wear glasses

What he does think a lot about is how inconvenient glasses are

Like you have to make sure you don’t forget them if you take them off during the day and you have to clean them

He thinks contacts are much easier

He’ll probably try to convince you to wear contacts instead

But if you can’t or don’t want to, he’ll leave it alone

Remember, it’s not that serious to him

He just wants you to be the most comfortable and to have the easiest time throughout the day

Kai is the sweetest

He goes out of his way to praise you about how cute you look in your glasses

He does this because he knows he doesn’t like to wear his out and he doesn’t ever want you to feel insecure in yours

He likes when the two of you get home and he can take out his contacts and put his glasses on too

He looks at you with the most satisfied smile

mickey works some soul sucking factory job - it's not what he wants to do, but he worked for his dad until he kicked the bucket last year and right now it's the best he's got

BUT what he wants to do is own a flower shop with mandy - they learned all about flowers from their mom and reading/thinking about flowers is all that kept him sane after she died

so now that his dad is out of the picture, he turned their run down backyard into a garden, and he's got a weekend stall at the farmer's market selling arrangements and pressed flowers with mandy

he's got a bit of a cult following - people come to the farmer's market to see this crass asshole and his bouquets 💐

so it's going well - mickey is learning a lot, they're making some money... until someone new takes over the stall next to his

some ginger giant is selling vegetables and little jars of sauces and suddenly everyone is flocking to this dude's stall to see the freckled fuck talk about tomatoes

mickey is pissed because not only is this guy taking attention from his flowers, his fucking sister is obsessed with him and she won't shut up about his smile or his pesto and mickey hates him

mickey tries to up both his flower game and his attitude game so people will start coming back to his booth - but that redheaded demon seems to take this as a direct challenge and also ups his golden retriever schtick

and now crowds of people are showing up every week to see the punk florist duke it out with this goofy motherfucker

that stupid asshole keeps looking over and winking at mickey and mickey wants to deck him but he also wants to kiss him a little???

one evening as he's packing up, that copperheaded nightmare wanders over to his stall and starts looking at his flowers like it's no big thing

mickey clears his throat like 🤨??? and ian looks up and him and grins - asks to buy a dozen roses for someone he likes 😉

and mickey's like fuck you, you don't get my flowers after this stupid shit you keep pulling

ian is dumbfounded and a little sad - he thought the whole thing was fun and it's not like they're selling the same fuckin plants???? mickey could just throttle him bc he has been irritated for the last few weeks and it's all this idiot's fault - ian's like.... irritated? you sure that's what it is?

and BAM! they're making out surrounded by flowers and mickey still hates him a little but ian can't stop smiling and maybe mickey wouldn't mind seeing this dude wink at him again

....and then mickey's like. wait. you were gonna buy me a dozen of my own roses???? and ian clearly had not thought that through but he thought it was smooth okay??
