Gentle Angel — Metagala Oneshot

The air was cool and breezy, typical of winter in southwestern Dreamland. A large group of people were gathered around a giant Christmas tree, right in the center of the Cappy Village plaza. There were Waddle Dees, Cappies, and friends from many different planets, ranging from Earthfall to Halcandra — his royal majesty King Dedede was there as well, along with his subordinates.

Hundreds of gifts were stacked up around the tree’s base, lit up with shimmering glittery ornaments and bright Christmas lights and other such decorations. The atmosphere was full of joy, happiness, and Christmas cheer.

Before they knew it, it was time to open all the gifts. Everyone got what was gifted to them; toys, tools, clothes, snacks, among many other things. Kirby could barely hold himself together. He loved getting gifts from his friends and family, especially from Meta Knight and Galacta Knight, and this year, they got a bunch for him!

As the others had finished opening their presents, the only ones left were for those living at Castle Dedede. Fumu and Bun went to grab theirs, Kirby got his, Meta and Galacta gave their gifts to each other, and Dedede decided he would open his last. For the moment, he sat back and simply watched the villagers enjoy their Christmas afternoon. Bandana Dee stood by his side, and conversed with him casually.

Fumu got art supplies for the most part, as well as a calligraphy set, and various other things. But got an electric guitar, an amplifier, a skateboard, and many other little trinkets. They loved their gifts from the bottom of their hearts. They thanked the givers, and continued on doing their own things, conversing with friends, and using their new items.

Kirby opened his gifts quickly. One of his favourite things about Christmas was ripping off the wrapping paper and unboxing his presents. He absolutely adored surprises. The first two gifts was from Fumu — she got them a large tin of butter cookies, and a hand-sewn sweater. They put it on immediately, thanking her profusely. The next two were from Bun — he got them a ton of candy from the local sweets shop, and a duo set of action figures so they could play together. They thanked him, hugging him, and even gave some of his snacks to him!

From Dedede, he got food and toys. From Bandana Dee, he got food, toys, and a spear. From Hano, he got food, toys, art supplies, and a full set of armour! From Meta Knight, he got food, toys, custom hand-made clothes, and a pastel-pink-and-gold sword! From Galacta Knight, he got food, an old white-and-gold Dimensional Cape (that Galacta apparently used to own himself), and an alarming amount of weapons, ranging from simple hammers to actual firearms. Meta Knight was… very concerned, to say the least.

Now it was time for Meta and Galacta to open their gifts to each other. It took a bit of convincing, but Meta eventually decided to open his first. “Go on, open ‘em up, Candy!” Galacta said, seeming impatient. Meta chuckled at his behaviour, and opened the first gift. It was a golden chain necklace with multicoloured gems, jewels, and crystals attached to it. “Wow. This is… gorgeous. Where did you get this?” he asked, holding the jewelry in his clawed hands. “Used to be mine,” Galacta responded with a bright smile. “It doesn’t really fit my style anymore, and I figured you’d like it, so I gave it to you. Same for this one.” He handed Meta another present. It was smaller in size. He opened it carefully, making sure not to tear the black-and-gold wrapping paper. It was a bracelet of similar composition.

“They used to go together,” Galacta said, gently taking hold of Meta’s hand. “Put them on. They’d look good on ya.” His expression was soft and full of love. He honestly couldn’t remember the last time he was this happy; it must’ve been eons ago.

Meta did as his lover requested, and put on the golden jewelry. He was very correct, it seems — he looked absolutely stunning. Galacta’s smile only grew wider. “I was right,” he said. “Fits you better than they did me.” Meta shook his head. “They’d look just as wonderful on you, Angel,” he said before picking up the last gift Galacta got him. It was a great bit larger than the others. “Goodness, that is quite a size difference.”

“That’s what—“

“Hush.”

Meta crouched down and laid the gift horizontally on the ground, gently peeling off the tape that held the paper together. After removing the wrapping paper, he opened the box in which he presumed the gift was contained. He used his claw to slice through the tape, and unfolded the cardboard flaps, pulling out the present.

It was a guitar case.

“Woah.”

Galacta smiled wider.

“You— no way. You got me— you— Angel, you got me a new guitar?” Meta said, genuinely surprised. Galacta nodded. “Yep,” he said. “Had enough extra cash to buy it for ya. I also made you a custom pick, I put it in one of the pockets.” Meta stood up and pulled Galacta into a hug. “Thank you so much Angel! God, I’ve been wanting one of these, but I don’t get paid enough to fund both my caffeine addiction and a guitar… thank you so much, again!” Galacta hugged him back. “No problem, Candy.”

Meta pulled away. “Now it’s time for you to open your presents, doll.” Galacta turned his head, flustered by the nickname. “‘Doll’?” he echoed. Had he not had any fur, his blush would’ve been very visible. “What, do you not like it?” Meta asked. “I won’t call you that if it makes you uncomfortable—“

Galacta interrupted him before he could finish his nervous rambles. “No, it’s fine. I just didn’t expect that. You can keep calling me ‘doll’. It’s sweet,” he said, grinning happily. “Anyway, the gifts. Which one first?”

“I don’t mind,” Meta responded, pulling his coat up on his face a bit higher in order to warm up. “Any one you want.” Galacta shrugged and turned to the three gift boxes. He decided to open the largest one first.

He pulled the box out from underneath the other two. It was rectangular in shape, wrapped in red wrapping paper highlighted with gold and silver. A multicoloured gold-and-black bow was stuck on the top left corner. Galacta pulled it off, looking at it for a few moments before sticking it on Meta’s exposed forehead. “Oh my god, best gift ever! A hot boyfriend!” he joked, and Meta laughed in response. “You’re such a dork,” he said through chuckles. “No you,” Galacta responded with a smile before turning back to the present.

He kneeled down, and adjusted the gift’s position so that it was upright. He haphazardly pulled the tape off, accidentally ripping the paper in the process, but he didn’t necessarily care. He continued opening the gift until the box was revealed. It was platinum white, with a few hand-painted designs of the front, seeming to resemble snowflakes and stars. There was some text too, and to his surprise, Galacta could actually read it. It was written in the standard Galactic alphabet.

“Merry Christmas, my Angel. I love you,” it read, in shockingly neat handwriting.

“Candy, did you write that?” he asked. Meta nodded. “Yep. My Mama taught me how to write in standard Galactic.” Galacta looked back and forth between Meta and the gift box with a huge, dopey smile on his face. “Oh my lord, I love you so much.”

After a moment, he cut through the tape with his claw and opened the box, revealing… fabric?

It seemed to be some sort of clothing, mostly black with silver and golden stitching. He lifted the cloth and unfolded it, revealing it to be a jacket. It was lined with silky gold on the edges, with embroidered stars falling from the shoulder seam in shades of gold and silver. The buttons mimicked each phase of the moon. “Oh, this is so cool,” Galacta said, admiring the work. “I made it myself,” Meta spoke up. “All hand-sewn. I also made the buttons.” Galacta looked at him, eyes shimmering. “You made all of this by yourself? Candy. Oh my lord, you are the best.”

Meta smiled. “There’s more, Angel,” he said, gesturing to the now opened box which still had items inside. Galacta looked back at it, folding the jacket and setting it onto the box Meta’s guitar came in. He took the next item, letting it fall unfolded.

It was a long lace-sleeved turtleneck shirt, completely black aside from embroidered silver-and-gold stars and roses, as well as a bleach-painted drawing of a full moon on the front, and a new moon painted on the back. Galacta was awestruck, and his jaw dropped in amazement. He whispered something in a different language, presumably Galactic, before speaking directly to Meta. “Candy, this is incredible. Did you make this too?” he asked, still admiring the artistry. “Mhmm. All of these gifts are hand-made by me. It’s Draconic tradition — giving loved ones presents made by hand. I’m sure you’re aware.”

Galacta chuckled, completely at a loss for words. Meta knew full well that he loved it — he didn’t even need to say anything much. His expressions told him everything.

He set down the shirt on top of his jacket and pulled out the last thing from the box. It was a pair of pants, composed similarly to the jacket. The cuffs and waistline had silky gold lining, and stars and roses were embroidered, falling from the waistline and growing from the cuffs. The midnight black fabric was soft and warm, perfect for the winters of Dreamland. “Awesome,” he said, standing up and twisting the pants around in his grasp, studying the back, which perfectly mirrored the front, save for two roses embroidered in gold on the back pockets.

He folded the item back up and set it down with the rest of the outfit, then hugging Meta. “Thank you, Candy. This means a lot.” He hugged him back, kissing his cheek before responding. “You’re welcome, Angel. Remember, though, you still have two more gifts.” Galacta suddenly pulled away. “Oh, right!” he exclaimed, walking back to the two remaining boxes. He went straight for the second largest, moving the small box off of its top. He sliced through the top of the wrapping paper with his claw, no longer caring if he ripped it or not. It didn’t really matter, anyway.

He opened the box containing the gift, and found various different accessories. 10 bracelets, 10 necklaces, 4 belts, 10 sets of earrings, 15 keychains… multiple little additions to his outfits. “Oh. My. Lord. Candy, you have outdone yourself completely,” he said, lifting a couple bracelets out of the box and putting them on. “You made all of these completely by yourself? You’re crazy, babe.” “No, not completely on my own,” Meta said, folding his arms inside his coat. “Mama helped me out. She is the blacksmith, after all.” Galacta hummed and nodded. “Ah, alright. Now it’s time for the last one… this tiny li’l’ thing.” He picked up the final, smaller box. It fit perfectly in his hand. He turned it around slightly, looking at the bottom so he could pull the tape away, revealing the present.

It was a black velvet box, with a golden rose on the lid. “Oh.” Galacta moved to hold it in both hands. “That’s a bit… underwhelming. It’s pretty, though.” Meta shook his head. “No, no, look inside,” he spoke with a light chuckle. The warrior looked back at the small box, contemplating for a second, and attempted to open it.

…

It didn’t budge.

“Uh.” He tried again. Still, it didn’t open. “Candy, it’s not opening.”

Meta sighed quietly, ending it in a soft giggle. “Hold on, give it to me,” he said, walking up to him and reaching out to take the box. Galacta reluctantly handed it over, and Meta positioned his hands so that his right was holding the bottom of the box, and his left was pinching the lid between his index and thumb. “You have to squeeze the sides, like this,” he explained kindly, doing as he instructed.

He opened the box slowly, and seemingly out of nowhere, he crouched down.

“Huh?”

The small box opened to reveal a velvety red inside, with something small and shiny placed carefully in the center.

It was a ring.

The body of it was silver and braided, with small diamonds adorning it. On the very top was a small, purple-black stone of obsidian.

Galacta was speechless.

All surrounding citizens went silent

“Galacta Knight,” Meta began.

“You have been here on Popstar for over a year. For eight months, we have been together, as romantic partners. It hasn’t been exactly long, but still — every time I see you, I fall more in love with you. You, my gentle angel, mean the world to me — no, the entire galaxy. I love you more than the night sky, a blue moon, the dawn sunrise. I love you more than anything. Therefore, I ask you…

Will you be mine, by my side, for the rest of eternity in marriage?”

Galacta didn’t say anything for a while. He was surprised. He did not expect this in the slightest. A proposal? This was the last thing he expected from today. In fact, he never thought he’d ever marry again! He figured that, even after the crystallization wore off, he would never even find someone to love him.

And yet, here he was, standing in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree, with his lover of eight months crouched down in front of him, ring box in his hand.

In truth, it took him a bit to properly register what was happening. But even when he finally did, he could only say one word.

“Yes.”

Applause and cheers erupted from the crowd, and Meta stood, letting Galacta fall into his embrace. He couldn’t remember the last time he was happy; it was likely before his crystallization. He didn’t want to let go, but he did, so his love could put the ring on his finger.

It was a perfect fit, and it looked absolutely wonderful with the rest of his outfit.

The two went right back into each other’s arms, and the surrounding citizens clapped and shouted, congratulating the soon-to-be married couple.

Kirby, Fumu, Bun, Memu, Parm, Bandana Dee, all of the Halberd crew, and even King Dedede himself were clapping up a storm. Everyone was cheering for the couple as the sun slowly began to set, making a truly beautiful scene.

This was truly the best Christmas of all.

I don't typically lurk around here and I don't like being unable to ask as an anon but your wedding thingy with trans!Flash made me happy because I saw it as one of those things where people remarry despite already married (idk what it's called, I'm a child of divorce just like patrick bateman) and that PeterFlash did it maybe because Flash had gotten more comfortable.

I assume you're talking about vow renewal, which is definitely a cute idea! Flash is definitely more comfortable with herself when they get married, and Peter's support and love is a big part of that, so that's true, but it's not a vow renewal in this case—they're like 26 ish when they get married, after several years of dating and, occasionally, drama lol

I know most people other than like... kita... don't necessarily have all the context for this so I'm going to post a summarized timeline of what happens between Peter and Flash first starting to date and them getting married and how Flash's transition goes during that:

A rough idea of the timeline is that at age 19 (in 2006-2007), Peter and Flash date for a couple of months then break up when Flash first starts to realize some gender things and doesn't handle it well and Flash goes even further back in the closet for a while after that out of fear/shame/etc.

Peter and Flash start to sort of date again by being friends with benefits in 2008, a year later, but Flash is still in a lot of denial at this point and it's still a casual relationship for a bit.

It's also around this time that Flash meets Andi, who is like 10 years old in 2008, and who I decided to make also trans. Andi is very bold and ready to go, which over the following few years is part of how Flash learns some self-acceptance and how Peter gets some more tact lmao

Peter and Flash get back together more officially around age 20-21 (in 2009), and date seriously for several years while Flash begins to come back out of the closet a little. Peter starts thinking about proposing as early as 2011, while he's working on his Master's degree, on account of the whole "gay marriage legalized in NY" thing, but he keeps talking himself out of it for a variety of reasons including Flash's upbringing. He's neurotic!

Anyway in 2012 some things happen (involving the Jackal) that leave Peter in a really bad place mental health-wise, so any plans he may have been formulating get postponed yet again while he recovers, but in late 2013, Peter finally proposes to Flash. Literally a "YOLO" kind of moment.

Throughout all of this Flash has been able to gradually come to terms with things and you can see that in the hair timeline in the way Flash's hair grows out again—(though some minor details about this are off since it's not 100% up to date)

By the time Peter proposes in the fall of 2013 Flash is already most of the way there and the proposal/engagement functions as a catalyst for Flash to commit to who she is, so Peter makes her a wedding dress and she starts coming out to friends and some family in the months leading up to the wedding, which happens in spring 2014.

eventually she'll go on HRT as well but not right away.

and that is the context of Flash's gender and the wedding lol

this was such a brain workout because i didn’t think this far ahead LMAO but ok !! here are some of them <3

quinn (open heart): i’m gonna be honest. i don’t have a clear vision of what her wedding with bryce was like except for the fact that it was a beach wedding and bryce wore a light pink suit….🚶🏻‍♀️ but !! for the proposal, he was so cheesy he did the whole pretending to tie his shoelace before taking out the ring LMFAO as for their twins, their son kinda resembles quinn while their daughter looks a bit more like bryce. despite their hectic work, bryce and quinn always make time for their kids. even when they’re tired, they’ll always find a way to bond with them. like if bryce needs a massage, he lets the twins take turns walking on his back (while constantly reminding them to not jump when they get too excited lmao) or if quinn is wearing a face mask and the kids are being nosy, she’ll poke some holes into a paper towel and dampen it before putting it on their face. they just wanna be present in any way that they can <3

cece (novaturient): reese would say “let’s get married” or something that sounds spontaneous and cece would joke “be more romantic” and when she least expects it, reese surprises her with a whole proposal setup—fairy lights, candles, petals on the floor, all that with reese playing the piano and when he’s done, he goes “i hope that’s romantic enough” then he’ll go down on one knee and propose again <3 i can imagine them pulling a joe jonas and sophie turner. like they would fly to vegas where it all started hehehehe and do the elvis wedding then they’ll plan an actual wedding 🥰 i think they’d want kids. aside from the baby fever reese gave cece lol, reese played “ballade pour adeline” for his newborn nibling (in my hc) and i can totally see him doing the same for his kid 🥹 and i just know cece lowkey hopes their child gets reese’s dimple HSHSHSJ and they’ll probably give them the nickname “peanut” :((((

maya (golden): i honestly think maya would elope with phoenix if he asked 😭 it doesn’t matter how he proposes because the answer is always gonna be “yes”. she’d leave everything behind for him even though he would most definitely NOT let her do that sjdjskdks but i just know phoenix would use his magic—moving sketches of what looks like a random wedding (maybe it’s his dream wedding idk 🫢) and it would end with “will you marry me?” in his handwriting 💘😩 and maya would be sooo down to bring everything in those sketches to life as long as it’s a private wedding with close family and friends. the last thing she needs is the media doing a coverage of the most important day of her life. she’d also 🥺 her way into getting kaidan to sing at the reception lmao as for kids, she’s kinda iffy since she was neglected by her parents. she’s afraid she might unintentionally treat her child the same way because it’s the only parental love she knew but i don’t think she’d be completely against it

parker (midnight hours): the proposal would be simple but still intimate i think. parker and rylan would be doing something normal like cooking together or building a furniture set or something and rylan would be overcome with love he’d blurt out “marry me” that for a second parker would think he’s joking but when she realizes he’s not, she’d say yes. rylan’s ring that fit parker’s finger perfectly would be the temporary engagement ring “until i can get you a new one” hehehehe 🥰 for some reason, i can’t come up with details for what their wedding would be like but it would definitely be a small wedding and the gang would 100% be there. and even if i can imagine them being good with kids, i just can’t imagine them having kids 😭 i do think they’d be the coolest uncle and aunt

sutton (midnight hours): i don’t think sutton ever gave proposals as much thought as the wedding lol this is roughly how i imagine her pinterest board to look like. and despite the stress that comes with wedding planning, she would want to be a part of it. idk but if she and kian were to get married they’d probably be “plans everything gf & pays for everything bf” 😭 and sutton wants to have kids. a huge part of it comes from her nurturing and loving nature. idk how to explain it but she’s just one of those people who dream of becoming a mother. she also wants to be a cat mom to a brown british shorthair with orange eyes that she will name “terry” after terry’s chocolate orange.

From each route, what is your favourite part? Like out of each of their seasons including the Lost Kisses ones 👀💛

For Alex, my favorite part of their route is 1000% the proposal, but that's not in the actual route itself so idk if it counts lmao. If it doesn't, then my favorite part is forever going to be that scene in AFK Season 2 where MC tells them that she didn't want to get in their way and Alex stops Everything to tell her that she's never in their way, that she is their way. That scene is everything to me. The reassurance in the face of doubt and danger. The fear and the heartache and the love, the knowing that they each need to be better for the other. (MC needing to communicate better with them. Alex needing to make sure that she knows she can come to them at any time for any reason.) It's just. Such an incredibly important scene.

For Medusa, my favorite part.... I think I have to go with that scene in AFK Season 3, when Medusa has been avoiding MC/keeping her out of the know and MC confronts her when it all boils over after Medusa misses their appointment with the wedding planner. Where Scylla and Eryn side with MC and reassure her that Medusa will make the right choice. And where MC goes home (to her own apartment) to find Medusa sitting in the dark, thinking she really didn't know MC anymore. They make up afterwards and work to re-establish their broken boundaries and stuff and it was just so. AUGH SO GOOD!!!! The drama, the hurt..... the apologies, not just a simple "I'm sorry I did this" but an apology through their actions and fully open communication. They make it through such a big relationship issue and it brings them closer together and they come out stronger than ever before!!!!

For Cerberus, My favorite part is 100% in ALK Season 2, when MC and Cerberus are having an argument and Cerberus summons his aura when he's sitting across the office from MC... and his aura immediately seeks MC out and gives her little aura kissies <3 Cerberus calls them back for bothering her but MC is like "They only did it because they're an extension of you and you love me" or whatever she says and she also says that she loves his dogs and it's just. So. CUTE!!!!! Even in their argument they just love each other so much. AND!!! Following said argument, Cerberus apologizes and immediately is like "I'm so sorry for calling you stupid, no one should EVER say that to you" and MC goes on to talk about how she does value herself and it's not up to anyone else to say how she values herself. Just. a very very good conversation.

(I'm starting to see a pattern in my favorites,,,, conflict resolution my beloved)

For Hydra, there's the scene in AFK Season 2 where MC gets fired and lowkey blows up at Hydra and gives up and just. Leaves. And then she meets Ladon and I always make her scream out her frustration. And then Ladon brings her to the bar (and texts Hydra at some point so he knows where she is) and then all the monsters in Eryn's bar treat MC to drinks. And she's like totally drunk by the time Hydra comes to her, and she's embarrassed of how she's acted so she doesn't really know what to say or do, and they just sit there for awhile in silence. And Hydra doesn't leave her alone for one second, and he helps her get home when she's had too much to drink and she kind of cuddles into him. It's a moment where she's in a lot of pain but Hydra stays with her through it all, and just wants her to rest and be okay. The love shines through <3

For Astraeus, it's 100% that scene in AFK Season 1 with the Alex confrontation. But in regards to scenes that actually, you know, have Astraeus..... my favorite is that scene where MC rushes to the rooftop of HERA and like throws off her shoes and rips out her hair tie and she's shouting with all of her being for Astraeus, and he comes, even when he's being actively poisoned by Earth's atmosphere. The way he immediately accepts her and whisks her away the moment she asks him to, and the unbridled joy he feels, and the aching sadness that she ever had to feel so hurt. But at the same time he sees and recognizes her power. Not to mention that KISS they share. Not to mention the scene shortly after where Selene and Helios tell MC that they're there for her, to support her and be with her because they love her, too... So so so so good. (Though I will say this scene MIGHT be tied for my fave with that scene at the end of ALK Season 2 where MC sees her mom again and she's like "Maybe I should have just let the gods replace me with Hera" bc that is Heartbreaking.)

For Hades, there's that scene in AFK Season 3 where Hades is being all self-sacrificing in a misguided attempt to protect MC and keep her safe from the other gods, and in doing so he hurts her by renouncing her as his fiancée. And when MC confronts him about it when he's in his little jail cell, he's so cold towards her that it absolutely breaks her heart and she rips off her engagement ring and throws it at him. The emotions in it are so raw and I really do understand both sides of the situation but Hades is hurting MC so much more than she would be hurting otherwise. THAT SCENE in contrast to the following scene (iirc, it's been a hot minute since I read S3) where he breaks out of his cell and talks with her for a moment and he's so gentle with her and it's so OBVIOUS that he loves her so damn much..... and then he makes her pass out and disappears and it's just. So. Painful. But so, so good.... I love it.

For Chimera, I think my favorite scene has to be in AFK Season 2 when MC and Alex meet with Prime at the Boarback and Alex has to dip out for a second so Prime is like poking and prodding at MC with mean things about Chimera and MC like SNAPS and she starts going off on Prime and Prime starts to say something and MC is like "I wasn't done talking" and she keeps going just absolutely fueled by adrenaline and the need to defend her guy <3 It's SUCH a good scene and it lives in my head rent-free. It's also really funny because she storms out of the bar after that and just leaves Alex behind without saying anything LMAO

gonna send my ask here this time!! I’m sorry for not getting to it sooner! I’ve been feeling weirdly sad (thanks Depression lol) so I wasn’t on tumblr much!

It sounds horrible but it feels like she was just doomed from the start.. just absolutely failed by every person in her life. The way you wrote those gross men absolutely made my skin crawl and it’s so devastating to know how real it also is! Growing up in that industry and being a girl must’ve been so hard and it just makes me wanna big Natalie so bad.

Her having a crush on Dieter when she was a teenager kinda had me all 🥺🥺 it’s like so innocent? Idk like her entire life has been such chaos and so many hard times and everything. The thought of her sitting in front of that TV just to see Dieter? Ugh my heart.

I’m so sad that she had to do the emancipation but I’m also so glad she did so she was at least able to get away from her parents/mom! But man. I’m just gutted to think about 16 year old Natalie like that 🥺

It also makes me think about how recent this all still was when she met Dieter! 6 years really isn’t that long..

and aww, Natalie being so nervous about starting a friendship with Marie!!! She’s actually so precious haha! I just wanna hug her aw.

Seeing the beginning of her and Dieters relationship again, through her eyes this time.. hurts even more! She really just wants to be liked, especially by him and I wanna lowkey kick him in the shin for being such an asshole lmao

God damn. I swear this chapter just keep breaking my heart! It’s so so well written but just so freaking sad!

It does just perfectly show how young Natalie still is. So desperate to be liked by everyone that she’ll do absolutely everything. And the sad thing is, most people like her just for the drugs she can get them, they don’t even know or care about her at all. Her thinking she doesn’t know how to make someone like her without sex or drugs and then the whole thing with Dieter starting with sex and drugs.. that’s gonna mess with her head!

also thank god for Marie, I love her. I’m so glad she was there when she woke up in the hospital again. I’m so glad Natalie wasn’t alone.

I’m sorry this ask is such a mess, so much happened that I don’t even know where to start or to end. It’s just all so sad. They both love each other but just never got it right with the drugs and the messy situation. Maybe not even knowing how to love someone properly so they just give away every little thing they have until there’s nothing left anymore and they crumble. Too fucked up to be a safety net for the other. It’s kinda sweet but also so sad because it shows they didn’t have much love in their lives so far and that’s heartbreaking.

I’m honestly not ready for this to end lmao like I love these two so much? I know they’re not real but I want to read everything about them. How they work on themselves and find their way back to each other and how they start dating and go on normal dates because Natalie never got to go to a movie with her boyfriend or go ice skating. and how excited they are to move in together and they get a puppy and they always go an walks together, they always make time for that. And Dieter proposes to her and they have a beautiful backyard wedding and they slow dance while everyone toasts with alcohol free champagne. And they’re just happy together, everyday and all the time because they finally can. And they get rocking chairs for the patio because Dieter is old already (according to Natalie!) and they spent so much time there, talking and laughing while watching their dogs (dieter can’t say no to Natalie when she comes home with another one..) play. And they cook together and they play dumb board games and they’re just the most domestic people ever.

Aaaah! I just want to read every little thing they do. I’m literally gonna start sobbing at the next and last chapter because my heart won’t be able to take it lmao.

Again, I’m so sorry this ask is such a mess. I’ve honestly been feeling so sad about life and my entire existence and I’m putting all of this into these 2 and that makes me super corny about them apparently lol!

I could honestly see this story as an entire book. You’re such a brilliant and amazing writer and it’s been such a pleasure being able to read this and also talk to you about everything! And while I’m so sad to know it’s gonna end soon, I’m so excited for whatever you have planned next! (Tho I hope we sometimes get to visit Dieter and Natalie (Dietalie? ↳ "I'm not happy anymore y/n." Yuuji's words were soft and subtle. The paining words washed away your heart in sadness. "I'm sorry." You couldn't think of what to say. All you could do was look at your now ex-boyfriend and see how much he's changed. His physical appearance wasn't the only thing that changed. His mentality was the biggest change you noticed.

"I know Yuu, I know." You blinked the tears away and tried your hardest not to let your voice crack "It's quite obvious now. Don't be sorry. It happens." You two shared one final kiss.

That kiss was the last ounce of happiness he'd feel in a while. He loved you, he loved you so much that he broke your heart in order to protect you. Every time Yuuji has someone he cares about, they're always stripped from life. Yuuji didn't want that for you. He couldn't lose you like how he lost Junpei, Nanami, and Nobara.

What he didn't realize was that he'd lose you no matter what he decided to do.

"Maybe you're right. Work is that important and maybe — maybe I'm not happy anymore." Gojo choked on his words. He realized what he had said had no meaning to it, he was only in the spur of the moment. However this had been enough for you to put the pieces together.

"Yeah. I'm not happy either." Gojo's heart dropped. Of course he didn't mean what he said but only he knew that. "I'm sorry I thought that I was ever a priority." You were about to disappear into the hallway before you stopped and said "I'll call the wedding off. Have fun in Shibuya."

The next day Gojo Satoru wished he had taken a day off to be with his beloved. He would have never had to relive the trauma of losing his bestfriend. He proposed to you because you mended his heart, and all he's ever done is break yours.

Getou spent the rest of his evening wallowing in the words you had said to him. He had still decided to leave praying that one day you two can meet again in another life living happily, something he couldn't do with you in this life.

You’re doing a LoK rewrite, correct? Would be really interested in hearing how you plan on fixing Suyin’s character and the Lin-Suyin conflict because……. oh boy. Man there’s a lot to unpack there. This is what happens when we don’t let Toph just raise her fucking kids for the sake of pushing a stupid as hell narrative about working women and single motherhood.

I am indeed!

In... you know, the way I'm doing most of my big potential projects, in that I have a folder with some documents that have plot notes and... some day I may actually get full, finished fics out of them (h2o AU is in there, as is my voltron!atla fusion AU, and uhhhh my book 3 atla rewrite, and a few other things), so... but I will say that the docs I have for my LoK rewrite so far amount to roughly 4.2k words of just Plot and Character Notes, which may some day turn into words of Story, hopefully.

ANYWAY, POINT IS: yes, this exists, and I have Many Many Thoughts.

Including how the Gaang kids would shake out! Cause I know I'm doing Zutara, and maybe Tokka???? Although I don't wanna just leave Suki out either... maybe a throuple??? Or Sukka having an amicable breakup before Sokka and Toph get together--maybe she already has Lin by then, and Sokka helps support her through the grief of losing Kanto???? Idk honestly, I haven't actually figured any of that out definitively yet except that Aang was perfectly happy to settle down with an Air Acolyte from one of the rebuilt temples because he grew up and out of his crush on Katara pretty easily once he hit puberty and matured a bit.

UHHH none of which is actually an answer to your question, because it's a valid one! Which is why I've been sitting on this a while (10 days I'm so sorry) bc I haven't made any solid decisions but I've been letting it percolate around my head a bit. And the more I think about it, the more I really like the Sukka -> Tokka idea (and I don't want to kill off Suki since the kids all deserve their awesome Kyoshi warrior auntie in their lives, and also I want a Sukka kid to be besties with Iara [zuko and katara's youngest] so maybe she gets with someone else after she and Sokka split? I could be talked into Ty Lee/Suki actually, the more I think about it....), but obviously having a stable father figure and a Toph who is... not what LoK made her out to be will dramatically change the Beifong family dynamic.

That said, I think I actually have a solution. (I'm so sorry for what I'm about to do.) Toph has Lin with Kanto--and he passes away when Lin is two or three, which is why she has very few memories of her father. (Although none of this 'she doesn't even know his name until she's 50+ cause Toph didn't tell her daughters about their fathers' bullshit.) Sokka is there for her through it all (all of the gaang is, of course, but you know that it sometimes just hits different when it's someone you're also starting to fall in love with, especially when there are older and much more deeply buried feelings there that are now resurfacing, because at least in my version Toph was deeply in love with Sokka when they were teenagers, but he was in love with Suki and she also loved Suki so she didn't want to mess up anything about their family or the group dynamics by making her feelings anyone else's problem), they fall in love, get married and have Suyin.

(Sokka may jokingly refer to it as a shotgun wedding, but the truth is he wanted to propose well before he found out she was pregnant, his attempts just kept getting messed up in increasingly comedic fashion.)

Throughout all of this, Republic City has been established, Sokka is Chancellor, Toph is something of a defacto police chief--mostly because, at the time, no one else was willing to volunteer, and she jokingly offered to whip the law enforcement, but unfortunately everyone else at the meeting took her seriously. However, she is also the founder of the probending league, and basically her feelings about law enforcement are complicated and she actively discouraged her kids from joining the force which is part of why Lin did. How else do you have a teen rebel phase with a parent like Toph? (Which, in this instance, means tough and firm but fair, with a 'you break it, it's up to you to fix it' attitude and very little desire to actually control her daughters and their behavior.)

Ah, but here's the rub.

Suyin is ten years old when Sokka dies, and Lin is sixteen. I'm not sure how he's killed--maybe by Yakone, to tie it into my plans for Amon and book 1. (Note that I'm not sure when the Yakone bloodbending trial happened in canon, but it doesn't matter. The timeline I'm gonna build will be completely different post-comet, and I'll eventually write it all down so that I can keep things straight.) Which would incidentally provide excellent means of having Katara have a very personal stake in the Amon conflict, and perhaps color the fight between him and Iara, but I'm getting off track. And I think Sokka being killed by Yakone, and Toph being unable to protect or save him, or deliver her own brand of justice to avenge him (because Aang is there to stop her and.... shit probably got ugly, I suspect she didn't talk to Aang for at least twenty years after Sokka's death--and this isn't to say I think Toph is particularly violent or murderous, but in that moment, she absolutely wanted to kill the man with her bare hands, and however much she may have regretted it afterwards, she took a very long time to forgive Aang for stopping her in the first place), is what results in Toph stepping down as police chief.

She didn't withdraw from her daughters or fuck off into the swamp or anything (words cannot express how much I hate that part of her canon history), but she did grieve for a very long time. Lin, meanwhile, felt like it was up to her to keep her family together, while also feeling a desperate need to... prove herself, I think. And because her mother was so adamant that she not join the police force, that's exactly what she does. I think Lin completely misread Toph's intentions, too, and believed that the discouragement was because her mother didn't think she had what it takes, when in reality I think Toph was scared of Lin losing herself in the job like she herself had begun to, and eventually coming up on something she couldn't change or fix and making the same mistakes she had.

(I think Toph and Lin have communication issues largely because they are both headstrong and willful, but where Toph thought she was giving her daughters the room they would need to make their own way, what Lin desperately craved was direction and she felt like that was something her mother simply couldn't understand.)

Suyin, on the other hand, fell in with a bad crowd like in canon. I think that what she desperately needed was attention, similar to Lin craving direction, and Toph was trying so hard not to be her own parents that she went a little too far in the other direction and Suyin began to feel like it didn't matter what she did, her mom wouldn't care, or get angry, or discipline her, or anything. Lin and Suyin butted heads a lot growing up, too, especially after Sokka's death, because Lin tried to rein in her sister's behavior and this was met with resistance and derision because Suyin felt like Lin was trying to be both mom and dad and she was neither but her big sister would never admit to being just as lost as she was and it made her furious.

So when Suyin is sixteen, and Lin is twenty-two and new to the force, The Big Rift happens. Lin catches Suyin and her gang, tries to apprehend her, gets a scar on her face in the ensuing conflict. But instead of abusing her power and sending her problem child off to her mother before fucking off to the swamp to avoid the consequences of her actions, Toph tries to actually fix things. Suyin cools her heels in prison for a while, because she was paralyzed by guilt at the time when she hurt her sister (a few inches lower and she could have slit her throat), and was still there when Lin's backup arrived.

Uhhhhhhhhhhh..... I'm so sorry I rambled for so long, BUT THE UPSHOT IS: I think Suyin learned a bit about culpability and taking responsibility for her own actions, Toph realized that her daughters had different needs than she did at their age (and I think a lot of the problem was that grief clouded her own ability to connect with her daughters, and in trying to not be her own parents she lost sight of how to be the parent her own daughters needed), and Lin, I think, had to realize that she had never fully processed the loss of not one but two fathers and had turned to her job in order to avoid actually confronting the grief that had overshadowed her childhood.

However, she did not forgive Suyin, at least not right away--and she wasn't forced or expected to. Suyin understood that she crossed a serious line, she took her lumps and did her time, and no one shamed Lin for her anger. I think, as a result, she had less reason to hold onto that bitterness, and perhaps by the time the story actually begins, she and Suyin are on much better terms, though I haven't worked it out exactly yet.

UHHH yeah I went on for days lmao. All of this is subject to change, too, depending on the needs of the story whenever I get around to actually writing it all down, BUT these are my initial thoughts, at least.

I can't say I have an "all-time" favorite because I tend to go from hyperfixation to hyperfixation... but some of those who stay with me are Promptis (FFXV), Kurodachi (Cherry Magic), Lawlight (Death Note), and since I fell into Kamen Rider recently I should add Ryusen (Build), Shouphil (W) and Ankh/Eiji (OOO)...

How many works do you have on AO3? 38 but one is a collab for which I only wrote one tiny chapter.

What’s your total AO3 word count? 377,780 words.

What are your top 5 fics by kudos? 1. Unintended - Death Note, Lawlight fix-it that starts in the Yotsuba arc 2. You can hear it in the silence - Cherry Magic, Kurodachi fic set post-canon because I just wanted more food 3. Something just like this - FFXV, Promptis modern AU filled with extreme fluff 4. I'm still yours - FFXV, Promptis fix-it 5. Tomorrow - No.6, Nezushi pwp... honestly not sure why this one is so high lol, it was my first work in years back then. But I guess it's soon going to be taken over by You electrify my life, a Promptis fic that's a lot better.

Do you reply to comments, why or why not? Always, even though I'm not always the fastest to do so and I feel very repetitive in my replies, but I always want to say thank you.

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Well that's definitely If I'm dead to you, a Death Note one about L haunting Light as a ghost. It's super angsty and definitely doesn't have a happy ending, even though it is somewhat bittersweet.

Idk, I guess maybe the ones that end with proposal/wedding, so that would be I'm still yours (FFXV, Promptis), Something just like this (FFXV, Promptis), I want you for a lifetime (Cherry Magic, Kurodachi) and Let's tell the truth, just for once (asking for an answer) (Kamen Rider Build, Ryusen) Yes I know I do proposals a lot and guess what - I'm writing a Shouphil fic (hopefully) so that's not the end of it.

Do you write crossovers? I want to say no, but does planning on writing a Kamen Rider one shot collection that might have the guys from Build, W and OOO interact at some point count?

Have you ever received hate on a fic? Hate, no. I did get weird comments sometimes, about like top/bottom dynamics which I don't care about so I was like, cool, whatever?

Do you write smut? If so, what kind? ...I do. A lot lol. But it's usually part of the overall plot, and even for the fics that are a bit more pwp, it's still more about the tension and relationship between the characters than the act itself (which I honestly don't really care about) So it's pretty vanilla, with a lot of teasing and/or bickering depending on the pairing.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not that I can recall?

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes!! I've had one of my Death Note fics and one of my Cherry Magic fics translated into Chinese and it made me so happy!!

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Not really co-written, but I did a few fic/art collabs with @ikathemadhatter on Death Note fics and that was awesome!!

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? I don't have WIPs on AO3, it stresses me out if I can't finish. Usually if I post a WIP I have to be certain I'll finish it. I do have a RP on hold and I feel terrible about not being inspired already aaaaah.

What are your writing strengths? Eeeeh I don't know. As someone who is prone to self-deprecation, this is a hard question lol. I guess introspection, and bickering?

What are your writing weaknesses? Description. Omg I hate it. Also coming up with an elaborate plot that's not just an excuse for my faves to get together lmao.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? I am partial lol. I have seen some weird French stuff sometimes that were there to look cool/classy but as a native it just sounded odd because it obviously came from a google translate thing. If you're bilingual, knock yourself out. Otherwise, there's always a chance someone native of that language will read and feel weird about it. As for me... I don't think I will do it. I hate writing in French, and I'm definitely not good enough in Japanese to try it.

What was the first fandom you wrote for? Soooo that was Stargate SG1 back when I was like 15, very badly written fics in French posted on old geocities websites haha.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? I don't think I have a favorite (and I'm also very bad at picking one thing anyway), but... I guess I really like You can hear it in the silence (Cherry Magic) because it made me super happy when writing it and I had just gone through a super dark phase... which, speaking of, If I'm dead to you (Death Note) was written during my dark phase, and as it turns out I really like it too.

KaruShuu OTP Questions

Ah- I created ehhh 4?? I suppose KaruShuu head-canons posts today but do I regret it? Absolutely not, I loved it. So here you go, have another one, don't be shy, read it.

Also, please keep in mind that these head-canons are completely made up by me in a way of that it's just how I would see it sksksk also here, KaruShuu would be probably adults?? Also married??

Who is the most affectionate? Sinceee they got married, I'm sure the longer into the relationship, the more they have opened up to each other? Karma would be the type to wake up first in the morning and kiss Shuu good morning, but since Shuu is an early bird, he would wake up before Karma and make breakfast for him. Thats how he shows affection ❤️🧡

Most common argument? Sad to think that they NeEd to argue 🙄💅 but oh well- I thinkkk they would argue over super silly things. For example what to watch (If you have read my previous head canons, you will know what I mean by 'Shrek Marathons'):

"Let's watch something"

"Sure, what do you have in mind?''

Karma would just grin over to Shuu and Shuus eyes would widen, "Hell no"

"Absolutely ye-"

"Karma don't you dAR-"

They ended up watching (again for the 12 time this week) Shrek.

Who apologizes first? Karma apologies fly out of his mouth faster than they stop arguing. Karma would rather apologize than not let them talk for the next few hours.

Favorite (non-sexual) activity to do together? They enjoy getting massage! Ifff KaruShuu was too lazy to go out to get a professional massage for a few hours, they would do it to each other. (It usually ends with them making out later on but I'll delete that part)

Who is most likely to carry the other? Karma would carry Shuu ❤️😩 Ugh bridal style to embarrass him 💀💅

Nicknames?

For Karma, by Shuu: Tamponhead (I used this one in my fanfic and I will forever love it), Moron, Karma. Tbh, I don't think neither like these pet-names or nicknames since that think they are 'cringy'.

Tho, Karma has quite a few: Shuu (Main, he doesn't use 'Gakushuu' but when he does, Shuu melts lol), Pumpkin, Orange, pumpkin pie, Strawberry shortcake (bc he loves strawberries so why not call Shuu one 😌🤚🏻), Sugar cube (Idk I think it's cute, tho I don't know if that's even a nickname- 💀💀)

Also a note: They would definitely not use 'baby', 'babe', 'honey' bc- noooo 😩💀

Who proposes? Karma 💅

Who sings along with the radio? Karma would sing along but he is horrible at singing and Shuu makes him KNOW it by him singing and Karma shuts up but finds it hilarious at the same time.

Who worries most? Both do, depending on the situation. Shuu would be worried about stuff like paying taxes or things like that, meanwhile Karma is worried for Shuus health, if he is eating enough as well as getting enough sleep every night. Shuu is a hardworking bee after all ✨

Who always wants to take selfies with the other? Karma wants to, for example they are traveling somewhere for vacation and Karma wants to take as many pics as possible with his husband so he can later on put them into an album ❤️😩 (KaruShuu as a married couple >>>>)

Who likes to playfully tease the other? Ohhh~ Karma teases Shuu all the time, but there are times where Shuu would feel playful so he would tease back

Who has the weirdest taste in their music? Karma I'm begging you- his music taste changes every week and road trips are a disaster for Shuu

Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant? Karma remembers because Shuu is always ordering the same things since he is minimalistic lol but Karma is a living chaos when it comes to food so Shuu can't remember it all.

Who is embarrassed to take their clothes off in front of the other? Lmao no matter for how long they are already together, no matter if they are married, no matter how many times they had done it, Shuu would be the one to be embarrassed about it every time.

Who tops? ...Okay so here, personally as someone who writes Fanfics, Karma tops. Always. I just- I just can't imagine Shuu as a top?? my friends gave me some really valid reasons for Shuu to be a top but I just can't see it 😩

Who initiates kisses? Both I guess? But mostly Karma

Who reaches for the other's hand first? Oooo here an example! If they are driving in the car, and Karmas hand is free, Shuu usually reaches for it but as soon as Karma needs it to drive, he has to let go. Or if they are in the cinema - Shuu would definitely hold onto Karmas hand the whole time - as comfort, since they usually watch Horror movies together so yea 😌

Who kisses hardest? Who is most ticklish? Both is Karma, but when it comes to tickling, even tho Karma is more ticklish, he is also stronger than Shuu so he can easily pin him down and tickle him, just for the sake to see Shuu giggle which kills him bc God damnit isn't he adorable?

Who brings an animal they found home? Lol depends on the animal. I would say Karma is a cat person and Shuu is a dog person b u t Shuu is allergic to cats so they can't have cats. But I think if Karma would be the one to bring an animal home, it would be a dog.

Who holds the umbrella for the other when it's raining? Karma's shoe laces often get untangled, so when Karma bends to tie them, Shuu stands over him with an umbrella to keep the rain from pouring on him.

Who tries to playfully embarrass the other in public? Karma 😭

Who kills the scary bugs? Oh lemme tell you about this one:

Shuu HATES bugs, since he always had the feeling of his father having a bunch of centipedes around himself whenever he acted manipulative and so on so he hates them. So one time when Shuu was taking a shower, and Karma was in the kitchen, Shuu suddenly screeched so Karma went to check on him. He walked onto a Shuu, covering himself with a towel and looking absolutely T E R R I F I E D at the ceiling, stuttering. Karma was hella confused so he looked up and oop here we go, a spider. Karma obv took the spider off the ceiling to free it, but first he had to tease and scare his husband a little by walking towards the shower stall, "Shuu look~ He wants to be friends with you~", the way Shuu screamed at this made almost all of the windows in the apartment break.

Who asks the weird questions at random in the middle of the night? Karma does that on a daily basis, but when Shuu is a little bit drunk, he would ask weird questions to which Karma never has an answer but he jokes around.

Who hogs the blankets? Karma hogs them and Shuu ends up having a cold the next morning 😭

Who wakes up first? Shuu is an early bird, but Karma wakes up first for work.

Who wants to stay in bed just a bit longer? On weekends, they both stay in bed a bit longer to cuddle ❤️💕

Who always makes coffee for the other each morning? Karma makes coffee for Shuu before he leaves for work 🥰

Who cries during certain films or when reading sad books? Lmao Karma cries during Shrek every time the scene comes up where Shrek had an argument with Donkey 😔

Who gets scared during horror films? Shuu 😩😩 He would (as said before) take Karmas hand for comfort

Who tells their friends/family about the relationship first? Lmao none since GakuHOE is well, a hoe so they won't trust him b u t I have the feeling of Karmas mom being actually super supportive?? But they wouldn't tell her, she would just get the hint and then when she receives the wedding invite she goes "oh-".

What do their friends/family think of the relationship? Rio was shipping this since the beginning of middle school aight, she loves it and she even threw a party for them. #IstanRioNakamura

Who cooks best? Karma! And Shuu loves his cooking! :D

Who wears the other's jacket? Shuu is the one to wear long coats, and Karma those thicc jackets. Shuu usually gets super cold even with the coat on, so Karma gives Shuu his jacket on top of the coat lol.

Who uses cheesy pickup lines? Karma- anywhere. Have an example:

"Hey Shuu, could you feel the shirt?", he asked Shuu while they went shopping and Karma wAsN't sure about his T-Shirt choice so Shuu was running his fingers slightly over Karmas chest with the shirt still on and thinking about the material, then Karma went: "Know what it's made of?", and Shuu looked at him and was about to answer him, but Karma was quicker and continued, "Boyfriend material", ObViOuSlY with a grin and Shuu was a gay blushing mess 💅 but then Shuu went along, "What do you mean boyfriend? I can only see Husband material", and tuRNED AWAYYYYY~

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other's ear during inappropriate times? AAAA I T H I N K I've written sum like this before- So two things that happened:

KaruShuu were invited to a funereal or sum and pls the church was quiet and stuff but obv Karma had to joke around and he leaned over to Shuus ear and whispered a joke into his ear which made our stubborn Shuu giggle and the church was this close👌 to throw them out lmao

Shuu was at work, and Karma likes to call him randomly, but oh well Shuu picks up and Karma starts to tease him over the phone maybe something very sexual stuff (knowing Karma he would) and Shuu just- he is sitting at his desk and his workers are giving him looks about why is he blushing so much.

Who makes the other laugh most? Karmas jokes always make Shuu laugh, sometimes even cry since they are hilarious.

Who would have to bail the other out of jail? Oh my God- Shuu would have to bail Karma out of jail maybe during college years, but I think Karma would mature a bit more as an adult

What would be their theme song? YOOO- A WHOLE PLAYLIST WOULD BE NEEDED-

Who would sing their child back to sleep? OOO!! Karma would be the type to read stories, but Shuu would sing them to sleep :D

What do they do when they're away from each other? I can imagine that they both have those business trips from time to time, so when they are apart, they FaceTime each other every evening to check on each other. Yes indeed they must stay at fancy hotels for their business trips and they are being served food, but they still check that the other one is eating and sleeping well. Oh and good morning and goodnight texts™️🥰

A headcanon about them that stabs your feels? Oh- oH GOD- That maybe they tend to act very distant at first in their relationships?? Or more cold? For example Shuu, he would not really know nor show much affection to Karma and Karma at first thinking that Shuu doesn't love him at all (which isn't true bc Shuu loves him deeply) but then he after some time figures it out when Shuu opens up to him more.

A headcanon that mends the previous one? That they both after some time spend together, have the opportunities to open up to each other, know each other better as well as find out each others weaknesses and strengths which makes their relationship stronger. I absolutely love them ❤️😩

How did they first meet?

L's investigation hq. he was a suspect of L, still, but this time he told soichiro to bring this 18 yo boy to the hq to test him, asking light to work with all of them. he ends up not guilty ofc, but L still wants to keep him…around.

What was their first impression of each other?

ah, the good old 'what the fuck dude???' from light and the 'oooh he got a big brain' from L. it's hard to get out of canon in this one.

Who felt romantic feelings first?

L. But it's more like thoughts, rather than feelings. It's just these random thoughts that pop out in his head like 'i don't mind kissing this guy, if he asks' but not like 'i want to kiss him' yknow what i mean? idk this is just something i experience a lot lmao. it develops to feelings once light falls for him and L can see that. So in terms of ideas, it's L, but in terms of feelings, it's Light.

Did either of them try to resist their feelings?

Oh our favorite light denial yagami. Of course he's cursing himself for having feelings like this but once L calls it out he's over.

If you had told one of them that the other would be their soulmate, what would they think?

Light would laugh it off, and be like "i don't like him that way you know". L would shrugs be like "well yes that's possible, i don't think i mind".

Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go?

hmm, they both initiated the relationship? ykwim? They both notices they had feelings for each other and just...go from there. they never have like a relationship talk, they just go with the flow until at some point they starts to get comfortable to refer the other as partners. They basically can read each other's mind, after all.

Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?

Yes, sort of. A tennis game! And a coffee sesh after, just like canon. They plan this to be just "let's just relax, this case has been really exhausting, take a one day break, L" but when Light got home, sayu asked "how's the date going?!" He immediately said "it's not a date, you watch too many dramas it's rotting your brain" And sachiko gave him a smile while shaking her head at this statement and when he's back to his room he immediately calls L and was like "hey does that count as a date?" and L answers with "depends, do you want it to be?" with a smirk that light can hear.

What was their first kiss like?

it was late at night, light was helping L with the case when everybody went home. they were sharing their view about this certain criminal when light notices L staring at his lips, first he ignored it but it happens again and again to a point where their face just got real close and then...kiss, somehow. idk lmao.

Were they each other’s first anything (kiss, relationship, etc.)?

First person who can understand each other and are equals, the only ones who can tear the other's wall down, and just practically soulmates in any form that even their sun & moon signs mirroring each other's? YES.

What’s their height difference? Age difference?

i hc L as just a little bit taller than light, but it's not like you can see it through the hunch anyway. ofc we all know the 6 years and 4 months age gap

What’s their relationship with each other’s families?

Sayu likes L, Sachiko is kinda surprise Light doesn't date a typical pretty person, but it only makes her heart fonder. L doesn't mind them, he thinks they're nice, light grew up in a good place. Soichiro? Well, he might me a bit reluctant but he loosen up slowly, his son is happier than he ever was, after all.

Who takes the lead in social situations?

Light, obviously. Because he's a charmer and if L takes control, the person they speak to would run immediately the first 2 minutes.

it is a universal knowledge that L does this. like, come on, count the fics, you can't, there's just so many. he loves to break that perfect wall and make light feel 🥴😳. it's entertaining. But he knows when to stop. too much of that will be embarrassing in light's part, and he respects his boy's dignity.

Who said “I love you” first?

Light!! The thing is it was said over the phone. He gets more and more comfortable talking with L through calls, since every now and then L travel frok countries to countries. One time he just like "yeah, safe flight. love you, bye" he expected L to say goodnight to him as a response as usual but L was silent and he realised what he just said and realised that he fucking mean it. L seems to still be able to read his mind even thousands miles away so he replies with "i love you too, goodnight". they never missed seeing each other more than that night.

What are their primary love languages?

we had a discussion for this! but as we see in canon, they're both very acts of service with a little hint of physical touch here and there. quality time is also important. words and gift aren't really needed for them.

Who uses cheesy pick-up lines?

L. Only to annoy light. It's terrible that he almost cringed to himself, but it does bring a good laugh for light.

How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA?

PDA is a not their preference, they just love being in private more. They might hold hands sometimes, butmost times they won't. Altho they always stand or sit reaaaaally glued to each other even though there are so many space.

Who initiates kisses?

both. they want it, they got it. but light gives light kisses (ha) more, not necessarily on the lips, usually when L was really busy working, keeping his feet on the ground.

Who’s the big and little spoon?

They don't spoon a lot, they prefer not touching at all or cufdling face to face, but when they do, Light is the little spoon because being a big spoon makes his sleeping position kinda uncomfy, he feels awkward with his legs, it's just not. thankfully L thinks cuddling light this way is very calming.

What are their favorite things to do together?

Tennis and solving cases, duh. Or sometimes they play video games fighting each other. Anything competitive and/or challenging that make their brain grow 10 times bigger. But sometimes, a comfortingly peaceful and quiet dinner with hushed words thrown here and there about random things feels like the best thing ever.

L. For identity reasons, ofc.

Do they prefer verbal or physical affection?

Physical. They can read each other's mind, they knew it by gesture, touches, and glances.

IT'S MY TIME TO SHINE. venus by sleeping at last fits them so well, that song is in the background of multiple cozy couch smooches sessions or even when they're slow dancing (please listen to this tho song it's so good). also i think they would like persephone by the tragic thrills too, L would be like "this song reminds me of you" and Light answers with "i'm persephone?" "Yeah" "i'm a fucking badass then" "yes you are". oh and first day of my life? lover of mine? pink in the night? sweet creature? the lakes? oh god i have too much answers

What kind of nicknames do they call each other?

they don't do nicknames, really. although, L sometimes called light with some snarky tony stark styled nicknames when he feels particularly playful but annoyed at the same time.

They both do. Big brained assholes they are.

domestic life :

If they get married, who proposes?

It's not really a proposal, they didn't even remember who said it first. But one sleepy night after a hard case, someone said "hey you wanna get married" and the other was like "sure, why not" "really?" "yeah, i think i'm ready, you?" "me too" "great" and then they go to sleep. at breakfast the next morning L called watari from across the room and said "wammy i need you to prepare [enter marriage stuff here], and light, you must call your family after this". poor old watari chokes on his tea.

What’s the wedding like? Who attends?

The wedding is in a secluded little place near the wammy's house, L used to go there a lot as a kid. With just light's parents, sayu, and watari. Well, not until Light caught Mello, Matt, Near, and Linda peeping from the bushes

Do they have any pets?

A chunky cat the wammy's kids feed daily but never try to keep them in, because no animals are allowed inside the orphanage. L saw it and was like "light let's bring this bitch home" she is, indeed a little bitch, but light and L loves her dearly. her fur has light brown and black colors, like both of their hairs, so she becomes their daughter, L gave him a weird ass name but i can't think about it rn.

Who kills the bugs in the house?

Light because he's the one who's actually bothers to. They ofc annoyed L but he cpuldnt care less to actually get rid of them.

Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?

L. He rarely sleeps and once he did, he wakes up very fucking late and will pull light back to the bed if he's woken up by the empty space beside him.

Who’s the better cook?

Light. L is a spoiled brat. But Light can't bale for shit, that's Watari's job. Light grow up learning and helping his mom making meals for the family. He's not the best, but it's good enough to make L craves them in between his sweets.

Who likes to dance?

None of them. But they would slow dance on rare, sentimental occasions. And it's like so fucking romantic bcs all the lights are off except for a candle or a table lamp or a cabinet lamp whatever that has yellow-y dim light. And they don't speak, they just casually move against each other, but heart ready to combust like i do when i the mental image came into my head.
