the s4-5 team is interesting because they operate very different from cameron chase & foreman for a few reasons. 1) they're all more sympathetic towards house's style of risky, illegal medicine based on the world's most rational thought processes (especially kutner, who thinks its rad as hell) 2) they got hired in a cutthroat environment and were weeded out systematically so theyre both closer than the og team and more invested in psychoanalyzig each other

Taub gets a lot of flack for being the only straight person on the team, but he is also trans. He just doesn’t believe in any kind of labels so nobody knows.

Ya ever think about how like... Chase is House and Foreman is Cuddy and Cameron is Wilson. But Foreman is also House in other ways. And Cameron tried to be Cuddy but she couldn’t do it. Amber is House. Thirteen is Wilson, but sometimes she’s House. Kutner and Taub are House and Wilson, but they trade off which is which. This show is so good at creating parallels between characters and relationships but the implications leave me reeling.

Rewatching season 5 and paying extra attention to Kutner so that maybe it'll make some sense this time but I know it won't and I'll be left with confusion and guilt again like everyone else in the show.
