A slight complaint

I get that some BuckTommy shippers want to talk about Buck or Tommy potentially getting seriously hurt as fuel for the ship, but can you tag it or something with "hurt tommy" or "hurt buck" because I fucking hate seeing those posts.

For real, I've seen way too many queer characters be tortured and killed on television that has contributed to depressive episodes, so seeing either Tommy or Buck getting seriously hurt is not my thing.

I just saw a post that caught me the fuck off guard about Buck crying and trying to save Tommy while being pulled away by others, and it just reminded me of all those awful deaths I've seen throughout my life, and it's not cute.

I get that people like different things, but wanting to see queer characters nearly die and their partners breaking down over is fucking weird to me. BuckTommy is my happy OTP, and I get that 9-1-1 is a trauma show, which is why I cherry pick which scenes to watch.

But please tag your posts or something. I don't want those images in my head. At some point, I'm just going to start blocking folks because y'all really think that it's fun to imagine all the horrible ways two very traumatized queer characters can be traumatized again.

The posts are becoming more frequent, and it's getting fucking annoying. Did none of y'all remember all the shit that went down back in 2016 when queer characters were being killed off damn near every week? It's not cute.

Note: This is own personal opinion, and I'm bitching and complaining because I feel like it. I'm also judging because I'm seeing it a lot more now, and it's just ugh. Angst is okay, but NDEs aren't something I enjoy for queer characters (or characters of color). It reminds me of Hap from The OA.

Scola X Reader 

Working at the FBI was a dream come true. Being a badass agent and being able to take the bad guys off the street.

 The only thing that wasn’t a dream come true was your dating life. You always struggled in that department. 

You worked for the FBI for close to 5 years now. You made some amazing friends.

 OA and Maggie and even Tiffany. They always seemed like they had your life together unlike you. OA had Mona. 

Maggie had some nice guy she meant from a coffee shop. Tiffany never mentioned it but she didn’t have to. 

But dating never came easy for you. Struggling with the job and even your own problems. 

Your Mental Health was something that you struggled with. Anxiety and depression were the major problems. 

You never told anyone about it though. You couldn’t be a agent with these problems so you always kept it on the down low.

 But the anxiety could kill you a lot. Always wondering, worrying and over thinking. 

So when it came to the dating pool you never really clicked with anyone. Between your Mental Health and your job it was a struggle. 

Every single guy always felt some type of way because you were an agent. Like they were less masculine or something.

 So you kind of swore of dating. Then he came along. He was handsome, smart and funny the whole package. 

The only problem was that you two worked together. I mean what would happen if the two of you broke up ? 

That would be hella awkward. Not to mention you never wanted your feelings to cloud your judgment. 

But with Stewart things were looking a lot harder than you would like. He always brought you a coffee and your favorite danish in the morning.

He always stayed late with you after work so you wouldn’t be alone. 

The after work drinks was your favorite. He was always so kind. He always listened to you even on days you were talking his ear off he would just sit there and listen.

And  He always talked you off the bridge. 

He was the only person who knew about your struggles. You knew you could trust him with anything and he would never judge or tell anyone. 

That’s a big part of why you were afraid to date him. 

You were always afraid of the thought of losing him. You were afraid of losing your best friend. Your comfort person. 

 Then one night things took a turn that you weren’t mad about but also were expecting

. One night after another night of talking this man’s ear off you had also about a couple of drinks to. You ended up back at his apartment. 

You didn’t even remember it happening much to your disappointment. You woke up with the sunlight shining in your face. You groaned waking up when you felt someone moving next to you. 

It felt like your heart stopped beating because you never remembered bringing anyone home

. You slowly rolled over and opened your eyes to see a sleeping scola. He was sound asleep so you figured you had two options. 

Option one would be just leave and pretend like nothing ever happened. The second option would be to stay and maybe get something you had been searching for a long term thing. 

Weighing the pros and cons to both was a lot harder than you thought.  Suddenly Scola spoke up scaring the shit out of you. 

“Hey beautiful good morning” Scola said 

“What the hell man?” You yelled, jumping out of your skin. 

“How long were you awake for?” You asked. 

“A while I just like watching you sleep” Stewart said. 

“That is hella creepy and a punishable offense” You said laughing 

“Well Arrest me right now” Stewart said smiling and winking at you. 

You leaned down and touched your forehead against his. He leaned up to kiss you but then you pulled back and smiled. 

“tease “ Stewart said 

“You like me like that” You said back. 

“Only sometimes” Scola yelled 

You smiled and got out of the bed . Thank goddess it was a saturday and you were off for the day. 

Scola grabbed you by the arm and pulled you back into the bed. You laid your head on his chest. Being with him made everything else feel easy. 

“Mm what do you think were doing here” You asked 

“Don’t think about it okay were just being us” Scola said 

“Yeah but come on this is not just being us and you know that” You said 

“Yeah I also know how you have to overthink everything. But this is just us okay” Scola said 

“What about” You started, then he cut you off. 

“Shh don’t think about it okay no thinking let’s just lay here all day in bed and do absolutely nothing.” He said 

“I don’t want anything to change between us and then it ends up going bad so maybe I should just go” You said 

Scola grabbed your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours. He kissed the top of your hand. You closed your eyes and smiled. 

“If anything ever changes between us it’s a good thing and it does end then were both adults we just move on” Scola said. 

“listen what ever change is happening is good because it’s with you” He said 

“It is a good thing” You said. 

The two of you laid in bed all day not doing anything. Scola brought you breakfast and lunch in bed. I mean he was rich so he wasn’t breaking any bank accounts. 

The two of you watched tv all day. 

Your favorite cop procedural show. You both liked to watch it and yell out all the things they got wrong. Like not wearing gloves at a crime scene, it irked your nerves so bad. 

 Laying in bed all day like this made you realize that as much as you hate to admit it but Stewart was right. 

You needed to let go and stop thinking about so much. That change can be good. No matter what happens..

📺 - Favourite show? So Battlestar has been my favorite show of all time for probably about 12 years, but right on its heels after that is the X-Files, which I've been a fandom person since early High School (2002, aging myself here...).

Other notable loves are: The OA(If you have never seen this show, its mindblowing), Doctor Who, Stargate SG-1, Star Trek,The West Wing (although, I mentally haven't been able to handle rewatching this show since the 2016 election, the modern political landscape makes my heart hurt too much and the show makes me too sad that its not like that), Major Crimes/The Closer(I actually was a weirdo who watched the Closer from day 1.... lol ).

🎨 - Any hobbies? So besides writing and reading, I actually LARP, but I don't do the like boffer LARPS you see on tv, I do more heavy character, storytelling type larps. Think more interactive theater without a script? I also go Ghosthunting like once or twice a year. Which is fun! Er and does this count as a hobby, I volunteer for a local anime con as their staff coordinator. I've watched this thing grow over the last 15 years from a like 3k attendance to 12k...

THE OA – i literally can't talk about this show without crying because of its premature demise, but please watch it. i've yet to find a show that makes me feel as much as this one did.

HALO – yes this is based off the videogame and it's fucking amazing; no one seems to agree with me except my fiancee, but i will fight you on this.

THE BORGIAS – i have rewatched this show more times than just about any other show (except for maybe s1 of the oa) and there's a reason for that; it's exactly my brand of insane.

TRIGUN STAMPEDE – this is anime and i truly haven't found an anime i've been this deeply obsessed with except for maybe aldnoah zero. hopefully this will get a better ending than that one did.

CARNIVALÉ – i watched this in 2014 in less than a week and i haven't been able to stop thinking about it ever since; my only complaint is the ending.

FIREFLY – such a beautiful show <3 also river tam is me; if you want to see how i act irl, that's pretty close (the only character that tops her in how Me they are, is emilio sandoz).

KINGS – i'm never not going to be 1) impressed that they managed to translate this bible story so well into modern day and 2) that this was fucking canceled after the first season.

TRUE DETECTIVE (first season only) – i went through about a month recently where i watched this like three or four times in a row. also rust cohle my beloved <3 i adore depressed men <3
