a/n: TYSM FOR THE HUNDRED LIKES ON MY FIRST FIC! on the other hand, this was rushed. i was jus gonna label their cigarette marlboro but my brain literally decided to research the exact brand aki/himeno uses in the manga lmfao. also, this aki was based off of this delicious, scrumptious, world breaking artwork! on a serious note, this is a work of FICTION! all events happened here is based on IMAGINARY WORK! i beg of you to not try this at home(or anywhere)! smoking kills (·•᷄‎ࡇ•᷅ )( •̯́ ₃ •̯̀)

“But I’ve never seen you smoke before.”

His face contorts in mild confusion, causing Aki’s forehead to crease. Meanwhile, you stayed seated in your chair, shifting your weary gaze away from the laptop screen to him, as if longing for the cigarette. You raise your forearm, appearing to be giving him the peace sign with your index and middle fingers but really only needing the cigarette. 

“I smoke occasionally,” you admitted, offering him a restrained smile. “Now, sir, if you would be so kind as to grace me with one stick and leave me be while I finish this godforsaken paper that is due today.” You melodramatically say, grinning in his direction, just in case he needed an extra nudge to hand over the cigarette.

He walks over to you and shamelessly leans his lower back against your study table, quite literally next to your laptop. “Then why didn’t you tell me?” Aki retorts, lowering his gaze towards you. His ambivalent tone doesn’t go unnoticed as he shifts his weight onto his arms, leaning back even further. “I genuinely have no idea.”

Uncertain whether to offer an apology or find amusement in his perplexed expression at this newfound information, you opt for the former. “I’m sorry,” an airy chuckle escapes you. “Also, um, it’s because you never asked, and I don’t mean any offense by that.” With a gentle tap on his knee, you continue, trying to lighten the mood. “It’s so rare that I even forget sometimes.”

Aki just..blinks, and you’re ready to apologize again in case he thinks you’re playing with him. But then he retrieves his bronze cigarette holder from his pocket, revealing a single Mevius stick and a lighter. Oh.. shoot. Silently, you observe him through your lashes as he secures the cigarette between his lips. The flicker of fire from his lighter sends a peculiar sensation tingling through your cheeks. Aki locks his gaze onto you, taking a quick drag as the smoke escapes from the corner of his mouth, it makes you unconsciously sink back to your chair.

“You want it??"

Yes, i want you. You bite the inside of your cheek, breaking eye contact as you stare directly on your laptop screen in front of you. “I changed my mind, it’s fine,” you decline through gritted teeth. Suddenly, it feels hot—your back and arms tingle, your throat going dry and hoarse, the drumming of your chest picking up a new pace. You don’t understand; it’s not like you haven’t seen him smoke this close before. Wait, now that you think about it, you haven’t actually seen Aki smoking at such proximity. That doesn’t make sense. You steal a quick glance, perhaps because he lets his hair down, accentuating his jawline and high cheekbones instead of his usual top-knot, and you have an urge to run your fingers through them. Maybe it’s the way he firmly folds his left shirt sleeve and his bicep contracts. Possibly. 

Two buttons came undone on his shirt now that you’re actually deliberately staring at him. And, of course, he catches your line of sight. 

Aki grins to himself.

He takes another long drag on his cigarette, allowing the smoke to cool in his mouth before pulling your chair closer to him. A momentary shock registers within you as he leans in, grabbing you by the nape and slots his mouth against yours. You tightly close your eyes.

There it is, you feel it. Not even a minute passes, and you feel the cooling sensation spreading on your tongue. Of course, he smokes a fucking menthol-flavored cigarette, you mentally note. Just when you think he’s finished with his ministrations, for some diabolical reason, Aki places the cigarette butt between your mouths and inhales briefly before expelling the remaining substance he’s gotten directly onto you. It trickles onto your tongue, down your throat, offering a cold and soothing feeling that reaches your lungs. Fuck. Everything is in whirl, igniting something in the depths of your chest that you never knew was there. You feel hot, your neck burning, but you pay no heed as you clutch onto his shirt, pressing yourself closer to him, desperate to taste his mouth. 

Aki pulls you up from your chair, swiftly switching positions and pressing you against the table. He cups your ass, settling you onto the study table, spreading your thighs so he could stand between them. His tongue, hot and heavy, dances with yours, and a soft moan escapes from the back of your throat. You arch into his touch when he glides a finger along your spine. You thread your fingers through his hair in response, letting yourself immerse in the heated kiss before you nibble on his lower lip, sucking it until he lets out a ragged groan.

“Just so you’re aware,” he breaks off the kiss, leaning his forehead against yours. Catching your breaths together would be an understatement as strings of saliva linger on your chin when he lightly squeezes your face, causing your sapped lips to pucker. “I’m not gonna be the reason you develop any kind of lung cancer, so I try to stop myself from smoking almost every time you’re around,” Aki tells you groggily, as if he hears your dilemma from a while ago and your heart constricts warmly. “So, don’t blame me if you suddenly cough up fucking phlegm tomorrow if you’re this greedy catching smoke from my mouth.”

“I won’t.” Fuck, I wanna kiss him again.

“Now, finish that godforsaken paper of yours immediately and come with me in bed,” Aki finishes off the cigarette, blowing the smoke away from you this time. “Or not, you’re a minute past your submission anyway.” He dismisses, brushing his thumb lightly on your jaw as he leans in for another kiss.

Worse comes to worst, emailing your professor and making up some shit excuse for an extension should do you the trick... right?

Hi! Remember my really bad old Mammon art? Well, I made new art that I think is a lot better! It's a bit sketchy, as I just cleaned up the sketch instead of drawing lineart because I didn't feel like lining. The POV is that you keep giving Mammon cup noodles, and he's starting to get addicted them, so he snatches this one from you. I felt like drawing a smaller belly in this one. Hope you like it.

Also, fun fact! The name of this file is "give that" in reference to the Sonic Adventure 2 fandub where he says "give that, that looks really scrumptious!" And that quote was in my mind for the entirety of me drawing this artwork.

So uhh... So sorry for the long delay. I have SO MANY photos that need to be upload by the end of 2023. But, because I'm using my mom's laptop and not my custom PC, my life's change... 😟😞 But c'mon, I need to turn my frown upside down because its the spirit of the Holidays 🎄😊, so I want to wipe my negative thoughts away. Nonetheless, maybe January 2024 will be start uploading my 2023 photos once I have my new GPU is equipped, so I can get back we're I left of. Except these photos, so let's go! 😁

• So, here we are at the nicely busy night street! 🌃💡 You may wondering, why are the people gathered here?🤔Because of the annual "Valenzuela Food Fiesta Christmas Bazaar" 🎄🍗🍴😋, and on top of that, its my mom's 59th birthday! 🥳🎂🎁👩 So, happy birthday, mom! I love you! 🥰🤗 (From me and my paper dolls) So, in this food bazaar, we can choose any delicious meals from a selected independent food stands before someone else to seat down on the table to occupy. Luckily for us, a lot of people we're leave from the table after their done eating and we're occupy it. Isn't it beautiful lights, you two? 😊

• Hours later, our meal has finally arrived and I ordered a delicious 'Texas Cheese Burger' courtesy of 'Lucky Garage Burger' 🍔😋 (Price: ₱95), and a refreshing 'Graham Mango Shake' from a random shake stand! 🥤🥭😋 Yum-yum! My paper dolls are mouthwatering to see what's inside?! 🤤 Sure thing! Let's open it! 😁

• [8th & 9th Images] Here's a closer look at my 'Texas Cheese Burger'. It may sloppy because of the packaging, but the BBQ spicy sauce never disappoint my taste buds! 😛 Yeah, I tried their sauce and they used a legit Texas sauce 🤠. My paper dolls certainly tried to taste the sauce, as well. And its pretty BBQ hot! 🍖🌶️ Okay, enough for that, let's have a bite! 😁

• [10th & 11th Images] Mmmmm! Wow! 😋 My tongue sensed that their patty was grilled (which is nice than a traditional flat surface), with their juicy fresh mushrooms, and their smoked bacon spot on! Also, I didn't realized, that their using signature style Pandesal buns for their different burger variants, which is fitting for us. What do you think. you two? Have you taste it? Sure you are, and I know you're enjoying it! 😁

And they say, they want it add a little pinch of sugar, and some more graham dusts. 🙂 Okay, I get it. You want some adjustments for the mango graham shake, I see. Don't worry, maybe someday we could find the perfect 'graham mango shake'. Promise! 🥤🥭😊

• [22nd to 25th Images] Tada! We have Hawaiian 🍍🍕 and Garlic Cheese Pizza flavors 🧄🧀🍕! Unfortunately, my paper dolls dislikes Hawaiian pizza, despite some mixed reactions after eating it. 🤔😕Yeah, still debacle to this day. But c'mon, let's give another chance, okay? 😉

• [28th to 30th Images] Mmmm... Okay... You know, I have no problem eating Hawaiian, but this is bland. 😕 Yeah, I don't think that you're gonna eat it. So, its all mine now (I guess). 😅 As for the Garlic Cheese Pizza, this is decent. 🙂👌 I think, my paper dolls should stick with the latter than the bland Hawaiian one. However, we've ended up take these pizzas to our home as our midnight snacks. 🍕🌙🏠

Overall:

• Bland Hawaiian ✌ Piz-aside ✌(I made confuse pun here), hanging out with my fam at the annual food bazaar while celebrating my mom's birthday was quite relaxing, and enjoying our delicious meals (except one, that I've mentioned). 😋🥳 We wish, that we could do this, not just every year, though. After all, the quarantine is over (for now), and restrictions we're already loose, so we can explore different places. 😊🏙️ Also, the only satisfy my appetite is the 'Texas Cheese Burger' from 'Lucky Garage Burger' 🍔😋, and that 'Graham Mango Shake' 🥤🥭😊. The latter was just right for me, and I promise that we'll find the perfect G.M.S. for my beloved paper dolls, very soon. 😉

SIDE NOTE: Although... Rumors, I have a funny feeling that there's another harmful virus that will approaching, very soon. It'll be much harsher than the OG corona virus. So, be prepared for much tighter pandemic lockdown, when another virus hits the world (, ONE MORE TIME).🦠🤒😷

CLoves: The Waking Up App 💙

It's literally not just a meditation app. No alerts to make you feel like a failure for skipping a day, truly scrumptious content for the mind body and soul, no charges if you can't afford it, no questions asked.

I love free stuff. Not only because I'm stingy (maybe), but I really believe the best stuff the world has to offer in life is free, and should be. So this is what really got me about the app before diving into its content. It doesn't stop at giving you a 30-day free trial without asking for a credit card, but you can get a full-year scholarship with no questions asked when you truly can't afford it. You just listen to a short message from Sam Harris, the founder and voice for most of the content, send an email, and a few days later someone sends you a very nice email saying you get a year of free subscription (normally $14.99 a month for people who can afford it). And you can do it again next year (which I did, went from student to graduate so it's justified). I really think all business models should be something like this. Sam says in his podcast (called Making Sense, which also has the same business model) that he didn't expect this to work out or be able to support itself, but I guess this type of radical generosity really pays off.

I've been listening to David Whyte's spoken poetry series on the app every night before bed, for a few months now. He reads his beautifully and deadly simple putting-together-of-words in his deep, soothing voice, but also gives background and context to each poem. Each recording is 5-10 minutes long, perfectly bite-sized, and a perfect balance of intellectually juicy food for thought as well as meditative insight. I love having poetry explained to me, telling me the state of mind in which he wrote it, where he was, who it was about, and just super insightful anecdotes that make the poems that much more memorable.

I'm not as good at keeping up a daily meditation practice, but Sam makes it really easy to get back into it.

This is the homepage of Waking Up. Every day, the daily meditation updates, with today's date and a new unseen artwork. You don't really know what you're gonna get every day, how much he's gonna talk, what instructions he'll give (all while sitting comfortably), whether you open or close your eyes, how theoretical he'll get, how much he'll just leave you be in silence. That really works for me, so I don't have any preconceptions of what may come. I just click on the beautiful artwork (the list of artists can be found here) and sit. I also love how it shows how many people are practicing with you at that moment. I don't notice it much, but it's such a nice feature and a pleasant thing to acknowledge. You also choose whether you want a 10-minute session or 20-minute session. I sort of switch depending on the day, but honestly if I don't do the 20 then I just skip it altogether lol.

The homepage is like Spotify, with recommendations and features to guide me on what next across my overthinking mind. Look at the cute artworks!!!

Excuse the lazy layout, but these are the different pages that are Theory, Practice, and Life. This is one of my favourite things about it. They're not just meditations, but crazy stuff like full-length exclusive Alan Watts talks and series by some of the biggest thinkers and practitioners, including my favourite David Whyte series. I started with his Consolations series where every poem explores the meaning, paradox, and complexity of everyday words, e.g. "Genuis", "Ambition", "Heartbreak', etc. They really really hit the spot for me, and I've learnt so much from them. Sometimes they just perfectly align with what you're going through and tell you exactly what you needed to hear. Now I'm on his Contemplative Action series, and it's sooo good.

When I tried Headspace, I hated that they reminded me every day that I didn't meditate and it keeps piling up in my notifications, I just wanted them to leave me alone. But with Waking Up, you get a little contemplative message every day with the title "Take a moment?", and if you click it it takes you to a ~40 second voice message from Sam saying something nice and deep. And an artwork. The one I got yesterday said, "Each of us is looking for a path back to the present. We're trying to find good enough reasons to be satisfied." Thank you Sam for the little bit of data that will go into my subconscious and feed the cats that are hungry for good thoughts.

But if you want to start with some kind of structure, the app starts with an Introductory Course that has about 30 sessions. But no pressure to follow day 1 day 2, they're just called Meditation 1 and so on, and the sessions vary from ~8-15 minutes. They're also accompanied by a nice non-compulsory theory session that goes hand in hand with the meditation for more conceptual backing. To kind of give a ballpark, he explores the sense of self, metta (loving-kindness), the power and necessity of thoughts, mindfulness and its usefulness, and much much more.

Waking Up has given me such good guidance when I need it without forcing it down my throat. I'm still trying to maintain an every day practice, but I also don't blame myself when I don't. Everything about it is just so soothing, including the amount of charity they're doing with the app. In their 100 Days of Giving, random members will be selected to direct $10,000 to one of 10 highly effective charities, with a total of a million. Their radical generosity is infectious, and they truly make the world a better place. I love them very much.

🙋‍♂️ Hello October and 👋 Goodbye Thailand Vegetarian Festival 2022 (or Nine Emperor Gods Festival)!!🥬🥦🥒🥕🥑🥜🌰🍄 Obviously, the Vegetarian Festival was an internationally known event, while it also happened modestly in anywhere of Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya,etc. 😔 Although yesterday was the last day of Vegetarian Festival 😌 But my mom Nikki still keeps on having Jay food. Oh my mind!! 🥬🥦🥕 J food is super yummy and healthy food 😋 Do you think so? 😉 Two years ago, I could have Jay food for one day. Last year and this year I could do only 2 days in a roll of eating Jay food because my school didn't have Jay lunch for students to eat...LOL...🤣 🙃 Anyhow, when I was with mom at home, I ate J food even J snacks with her 😆 My favourite J food is deep-fried stuffs such a tofu, spring roll, taro and corn🌽 They're super crispy, crunchy and scrumptious. And my favorite J drink is Choco Grande Vitamilk. Yum..yum.. Is there anyone not eating Jay food for this year? It's all right if you didn't.
