Having a Transgender Barbie in Mattel's toyline was a huge milestone!

You were made to represent the trans community (specifically MtF individuals) and teach the importance of trans rights, pride, and acceptance.

Fortunately in Barbieland, all three of those things were present.

Your dreamhouse even had some transgender flag color accents, too!

The Barbies were immediately welcoming after learning you're the newest doll to show up, curious as to what you do for fun and letting you hang out with them during girls' night.

With those you're closest friends with (like Doctor Barbie who gives you checkups and helps you overcome any dysphoria, or Stereotypical Barbie who always invites you on shopping trips for dresses), you share your story about your transition, feeling proud of yourself and your journey.

All of the Barbies are confident you've inspired transwomen everywhere to unapologetically be their truest selves.

Likewise, introducing the first Transgender Ken doll was also a big milestone for Mattel--even though Kens in general aren't the company's primary focus.

Still, you wouldn't wanna be anybody else.

If you're ever topless or wear open shirts, you have visible top surgery scars (or a binder) that a few Barbies have asked you about.

They're all genuinely curious and are supportive when you explain that those features are part of your transition.

However, when you first visited Malibu Beach, you initially worried about not being perceived as "manly" enough by the other Kens and kept your chest hidden.

Unlike the Barbies who never got insecure unless they "malfunctioned", Kens usually did since they're inherently competitive with each other.

But when you met Simu!Ken and Ryan!Ken (by interrupting another attempted "beach-off" between them), they realized you were the doll everyone's been talking about.

You showed them your surgery scars/binder and they instantly thought you were cool.

Your kenergy™ was indeed off the charts.

The Oppenheimer star hit what could be his final red-carpet appearance for the foreseeable future in a sheer Saint Laurent look that would melt the polymer right off a Ken doll’s torso.

Shortly before Cillian Murphy and his fellow Oppenheimer cast members walked off a London red carpet on Thursday in solidarity with SAG-AFTRA joining the WGA on the picket line, the actor debuted his biggest fit yet: a black-pinstriped Saint Laurent suit worn open over a gauzy sheer shirt, with a gold-tipped bolo tie, high-waisted trousers, and a pair of the brand’s Wyatt boots—or, as they’re known ’round these parts, “the Rolex of Chelsea boots.”

Photos of Murphy—whose ice-blue eyes could gouge a diamond—attending various Oppenheimer premieres over the last week have already garnered meme cachet online. But this look—and his facial expressions while wearing it—seemed to signal that he (and his stylist, Rose Forde) had saved the best for last. (The London event could be his final red carpet for a while; per the strike, SAG members cannot participate in press tours or events.) Throughout the truncated promotional run, the actor’s fashion choices have emitted a certain “nuclear Kenergy” in stark contrast with his bubblegum confrères over in Barbie Land, which has become Oppenheimer’s spiritual counter-realm. In other words, Cillian Murphy, who portrays the titular “father of the atomic bomb” J. Robert Oppenheimer in his film, has sort of been dressing like the Anti-Ken.

Where there’s Ryan Gosling, in his pastel cotton-candy-pink and blue-raspberry-hued Gucci suits, there’s also Murphy, in his brooding, pseudo-sexy YSL. (Inside you are two wolves, as they say.) At Oppenheimer’s first premiere in Paris, Murphy arrived in a custom Prada tan shirt and matching short tie—not unlike a World War II-era khaki summer service uniform, making it nearly period-appropriate given Oppenheimer’s milieu—with a dark jacket worn, chicly, with just the top button buttoned. During a rainy photocall in London’s Trafalgar Square, Murphy wore Margiela shades and a staunch Studio Nicholson cardigan over a simple white T-shirt, tucked into another pair of high-waisted trousers; he wore a similar look, this time with a nubby red cardigan and Ray-Bans, the next day.

Though the Barbie vs. Oppenheimer style rivalry held strong, the movies’ respective stars—in another show of solidarity—have expressed nothing but excitement for their fellow thespians’ efforts. “I mean, I’ll be going to see Barbie, 100 percent. I can’t wait to see it,” Murphy told IGN this week. “I think it’s just great for the industry and for audiences that we have two amazing films by amazing filmmakers coming out the same day. Yeah, you can spend the whole day in the cinema—what’s better than that?”

My jaw DROPPED seeing that. Ken wrestled that bear like it was nothing... he looks so hot with his red shirt tucked into those white pants. I can't wait to hear him shout "MY DIVINE GIRL" again. Spew poetry about Barbie's heart being connected to his like a rainbow or however the hell he phrased it. Ryan really just loves to say whatever the hell is on his mind and I'm so here for it.

Can't wait to see that extra crying clip. I'm never going to look at leather couches the same way again. Can't wait to see him laughing about it to the other Kens and saying "AND YOUR BODIES WILL LAUGH!" my god Ryan why do you phrase things like that. I love you. I love you. Words just come out of your mouth when you're playing a character and I'm on my knees proposing, a ring in my hands. The scene where Ryan can't keep a straight face while shouting "KEN?!?!?!" and then he says "SHIT!" absolutely kills me. I can't wait to see it!!!!!! And that other scene where he's talking to Margot and Greta and he's making them laugh when he says "what if when Barbie says hi to me I just keep saying 'yes! yes! yes! yes!" that's so cute, that's an improvised line by Ryan 🥺🥺🥺🥺 he makes Ken SO SMITTEN and it's so sweet

I know I'm gonna cry again when they show Greta Gerwig's announcement before the movie starts. "I hope you enjoy the movie... whether it's your first time, or maybe you're seeing it again...?" She was so shy and nervous. Miss ma'am "seeing it again" is an understatement for me baby I have contributed to that well-deserved billion dollars!!!!!! Seeing it again and again and again and again!!!!!! I have memorized every line!!! Every sound effect!!!! I have the I'm Just Ken choreography DOWN and I may or may not perform it in my room with the music on full blast!!!!!
