genuinely so unwell thinking about how there’s such an emphasis placed on vax being the one who needs his sister, who asks her to not go far from him, who is nothing without her. vex is the one who’s always been more independent, vax says it himself: she doesn’t need him. but in the end, vax is the one who leaves. and vex doesn’t realize just how much she needed her brother until it’s too late.

Vex'ahlia being worried for her brother, and Keyleth being worried for Vax and ending up in the same position is really nice and a little funny.

And the fact that Vax thinks that Vex'ahlia has gotten sloppy with her stealth when in reality it was just Keyleth following too made me drop my jaw

The saddest part of the tomb scene is that while we know Vex will be okay, it's the beginning of the end for Vax. While she gets to come back it's at a cost, there is a consequence to this mistake and knowing it ends with the twins being permanently separated, it's heartbreaking.

sorry i am still super sick and illnessed over percy and cass and i need to explode. percy who had been driven by nothing but grief and revenge for years and his soul slowly eaten by a demon bc he thought he had no one left to live for. cass who had spent years being manipulated by the briarwoods and resenting percy for leaving her behind bc that was easier than accepting that she had lost the last of her family. both of them having their grief and trauma being taken advantage of for so long and then both of them breaking free of it bc of the realization of "there are still people left in my life that care about me". they are all that's left of the de rolos and the one thing they can do is just be there for each other . like.,. fuck!!!!!! also percy couldn't kill delilah bc he already lost so much of himself to revenge (both in terms of his mind and his actual soul) but cass could bc she was so deprived of any ability to hit back against the people that hurt her . GOD. i'll never be normal about them and also i am always thinking about this shot specifically

i keep being like “oh i can’t wait for the scanlan angst! and the grog angst! and the vax angst! and the—” before remembering that dnd is nothing if not emotionally devastating to every single character and i shouldn’t expect any of them to be happy ever again.

I didn't know there are people who like the idea of Percy/Keyleth cheating. I don't mind the ship. People can ship whatever they like. But what is the obsession with cheating?

i don't think it's a sincere concern on the part of the audience at large. honestly, people weren't prepared in general for the fact that the hells were meeting The Lord of Whitestone and not percy of vox machina, and that includes the fact that he and The Voice of the Tempest weren't going to act like old college buddies, and i think sam was kind of reacting to that in his...own way. to me it's weird that people might have needed a deeper explanation.

the answer they gave was the most realistic version of that scenario, though i can't see any party involved genuinely going for it 😂 they even said it would require vex's involvement and i can't ever see vex wanting to bring keyleth in the mix.

(this is only tangentially related to this ask, but i have no small amount of frustration with the "beaujester WOULD have happened if They didn't go for Their preferred ships instead 🙄" -> "we DESERVE imo/dna as an APOLOGY that we are OWED for beau/jester!" -> "vex definitely 100% has a crush on keyleth, she's mean to her because she likes her, being sad she missed seeing her friend is a Category Three Vex/leth Moment, source: dude trust me" pipeline. like i understand people hardcore shipping imo/dna and beau/jes, but vex and keyleth?? really??? i mean shipping is all about imagination and extrapolation, i get it, ship whatever you want, but i feel like i'm missing something when i see people insisting that vex and keyleth have all this chemistry and potential. like...keyleth putting vex on a pedestal and vex thinking keyleth's worldview is weird and a little annoying isn't chemistry sdfkjghdfsdfg)

Mmmmm as cool as the stuff between Vax and the Raven Queen is (and don’t get me wrong, it is *very* cool, I love death deities), I have to admit I’m not a huge fan of how they changed the Vex and Trinket backstory. And they cut Percy’s talk with Vex after her death?? I can only assume they’re saving that for later on and they’ll combine it with some later scenes, but it does stick out to me how we see Percy apologize to Vax but apparently not to Vex herself?

(I also just miss the flirting by way of crafting arrows, I really hope they incorporate that soon)
