I'm thinking abt that pretty fall leaves embroidery pattern post and about how like... it is categorically a repost, it's a reupload. right? a thing that is generally disliked. but because it's credited, it's genuinely boosting the artist in question. and it could ALWAYS be like this. reposting content could ALWAYS be a symbiotic relationship, but because sourcing back to the original creator of something is so uncommon, it's just easier to ask people not to repost it at all. and people still don't understand the difference. or they'll go to the effort of cropping out usernames/signatures to repost something, which is More Effort than literally crediting the creator of something you liked enough to want to repost. Like. I literally don't actually care if my own shit gets reposted, you have to understand. I just don't want it STOLEN. But "do not repost" is easier to write on my art than "you can repost this, but don't alter the image/remove my signature, don't you dare write 'credit goes to the artist' because that is not credit, please link back to my original post or someplace that you can actually find me. please use an actual link/url instead of writing a non-clickable link of my username, because making it text instead of a clickable link cuts the number of people who will go to the effort of visiting my own page in Half." All those aggregate themed accounts, those fuckin annoying as hell instagrams and facebook groups that are like "body positive art we love wamen 💕 hashtag feminism" and then MASS-STEAL plus sized art created by women, if pages like these that always go and steal my older self-portraits and other works... If they just put a link to my prints of those pieces in the text of those posts, or, fuck, my commission info page? I would literally be living on the moon right now. how do you go about drawing the heftier skeleton body types so nicely? i want to draw bigger skellies but im not sure how to go about it!

I'm so sorry this is a bit late, but I hope it still helps in some way!

I heavily focus on the shapes as a foundation for my boys. I reference a lot of body types and anatomy! If you're looking to draw bigger skellies, I recommend finding a body type you like and studying what defines it; it doesn't have to be realistic (that can be a bit overwhelming) but finding a style you like and learning that way is much easier and is a simpler form.

For me, I like wide shoulders and large, comfy bellies--aka, the wonderful dad bod <3. So that' where my major shapes will be defined; I like to focus on points like the collar bone to help me build on the ribcages, and if I draw ecto, that tells me where the pecs should be, abdominal "muscles" and other lovable folds!

Most of the time, my guys are clothed, so I don't have to worry about bones. ;3

Everyone's interpretation for skellies is different, but the one thing that is universal, imo, is the use of shapes! That's where you want to start off and know that I'm encouraging you and rooting for you! <3

Project Sekai cast is dominated by female characters but mlm is more popular, meanwhile Undertale has canon wlw rep and oh my god they’re at the bottom. I have nothing against these fandoms or media (I’m literally currently/was in them) but yeah. I just HOPE r99 doesn’t end up in a similar state.

Chapter Two

“Do you think it’s like, Upside Down contaminated or something? This doesn’t seem like an Earthly substance,” Eddie asks, exhaling a heavy sigh and staring down at the floor with unblinking eyes and both hands knotted in his hair. 

“I doubt that Kroger carries demoflour, Ed,” Steve says, resting an elbow on Eddie’s shoulder. “But that would be just our luck.” 

It must be the exhaustion, but Steve swears he sees a warm flush to Eddie’s cheeks when he turns to laugh. 

Robin levels Steve with a look he only catches the tail-end of because she groans and stalks over to the counter. There’s a few seconds of silence after she dials, Eddie and Steve looking back and forth between each other and the phone. 

“Hey, Hopper! Is Joyce there? I’ve got a question.” 

“She’s a genius,” Steve nods, appreciative. “Didn’t even think of that.” 

“Me neither. Then again, I’m so tired I’m starting to smell colors so… there’s that. I might just sleep here, get nice and cozy under the prep station in the kitchen.”

Eddie yawns and Steve’s chest tightens. 

They’ve both given up so much, and it’s not lost on him that the bakery is his dream, his goal, his hope. Neither of them are obligated to devote the same time and attention to it, or spend these painfully long days sweating behind aprons and probably doing irreparable damage to their sleep cycles in the process. One day, Steve will find a way to thank them both and if he doesn’t, he knows that he’ll spend the rest of his life trying. 

Starting now.
