An event from ASOIAF that I think about a lot is the r*pe and murder of Elia Martell and her children. People try to justify Rhaegar’s actions by saying that it was for prophecy. But honestly fuck prophecy. He did nothing to protect Elia and their children. He just left them to be with a minor for over a year. If Rhaegar really cared about his children and prophecy, he would’ve just knocked up a woman from the north because Rhaegar, himself, already had first men blood. I believe that there still would’ve been an event with Daenerys hatching dragons without Rhaegar trying to “fulfill prophecy”.

I also believe that Rhaegar manipulated Lyanna into the marriage. HOWEVER, why would you ever want to be the other woman? Like I get she was young, naive, and didn’t like Robert, but get over it. I knew, at 16, how wrong it is to be the other woman and how wrong it is to cheat. So honestly, I hate both Rhaegar and Lyanna.

I actually wasn't going to post it on tumblr at all! I wanted to keep it on twitter since the author is active on that platform. I don't have a side acc on Twitter so all of my work is under amaati on there. Later I thought I should just post it on my main here as well for those who don't have twitter!

I only post jonsa on 01130-art bc I feel safest posting my jonsa art here on tumblr. Its a community I can share my art with. On twitter I have gotten many antis in my mentions, people would repost my prev jonsa fanarts on different sites and make rude remarks. Also irl it would be hard to explain who these characters are and what the ship is LOL.

I wish I could share jonsa fanarts on a side acc like 01130-art on twitter or share my new jonsa fanarts on main, but the antis really put me off + people irl saw my jonsa work and it would be so awkward to explain so I prefer to just post on this safe corner of the internet.

6. Both Elia’s and Padme’s marriage only lasted three years.

7. Loved ones of the princess’ want vengeance for their deaths. Elia’s brothers have been plotting against the Lannisters for what was done to their sister. Sabe, a former handmaiden to Padme, had sworn to kill Darth Vader, believing he was the cause of the princess’ death.

8. Their sons grew up away from their mothers respective homes and were raised by someone familiar to their fathers. Luke was raised by his uncle Owen in Tatooine and Aegon was raised by his fathers friend, Jon Connington, in Essos.

9. Years after their deaths, Elia and Padme are still remembered about fondly.
