Actually I’ll never get over how Gillian Flynn’s Amy Dunne was like a full terrifying amalgamation of all of the stereotypes about conniving manipulative women that men have been using against them for centuries but Amy is given agency and a backstory and we see each step of how she thought and planned and we feel for her while we hate her and Nick Dunne was written to be a full amalgamation of the stereotype of the man that takes a beautiful woman, uses and abuses her, takes her money, pride, and best years of her life while feeling open disdain, only to leave her for someone younger but Nick is given agency and a backstory and we feel for him while we hate him.
And then I have to listen to people say the way Nick is written is comically over the top and cliche so the writer could justify the actions of evil Girl Power Amy who is actually apparently very realistic and did you know there are tons of women like that?
Gone Girl originally was told only from Nick's point of view, but as I wrote about his wife, Amy, using only Nick's words, I realized I was doing this magnificent, diabolical, righteous woman a true disservice. So I started letting Amy tell her story too (or, perhaps, she insisted — that feels more honest).

No but why the fuck did they change it from bitch to cunt.
We're all just bitches in the end...Dumb bitch, psycho bitch...I'm the bitch who makes you a man." - Gone Girl, the book.
"I'm the cunt you married. I'm that cunt." - Gone girl, the film.
Bitch was so much more powerful, with Nick's father and all; with him often repeating the word. At the end of the film, too, when Amy comes back. "You fucking bitch." It would have had the same impact even with the cuts in the film.
a redraw of the first drawing i posted here to celebrate the fact that ive been in tumblr for more than a whole year posting my shit and havent deleted my blog in panic yippee \:D/ (mushy rant in tags)

in germany, chris evan‘s roles (including steve) are mostly voiced by dennis schmidt-foß, but as johnny storm he‘s voiced by benedikt weber, and it made for a really cool moment during dp&w. bc wade’s super convinced that he‘s steve, but all the german people who watch the german dub of marvel movies religiously are already like huh??? bc that‘s NOT steve rogers‘ voice, and then when it’s revealed that he‘s actually johnny, wade‘s like "ah yeah, i should’ve known from the voice". and idk, it’s not hilarious or anything, but it just made me soo happy that they used wade‘s 4th wall breaks differently in different languages. just felt the need to share this
