How to incorporate gyaru into your daily life!

Hi hi! It's Sunny back at it again :D Here's the post I promised you guys!

I think every baby gal has asked themselves atleast once "How do i incorporate gyaru into my daily life? or I have atleast LOL. So here are some ideas/tips on how to slowly incorporate gyaru into your lifestyle!

I found that perfecting my makeup helped me do it more often! This sounds confusing but I find that knowing how long my makeup takes helps me make time to do my makeup. And it allows me to do gyaru makeup more often because I have a set makeup tutorial that I always follow!

This sounds weird but it was recommended to me by my friend. Buy cute underwear or socks! I find that wearing cure undergarments like that really help me channel that gyaru energy and it just helps add to my confidence. I kinda look at it like the phrase "If you look good you feel good". Just having cute things like that help me feel cute and confident enough to do gyaru.

Decorate some items in your room! Buy some cute sticky gems from Joannes or Daiso and stick them on anything you can find! Like makeup brushes, jewelry containers, hair brushes, mirrors, and even phone cases! You can never have too much glittery and sparkly things :D

Buy things with animal prints! Zebra and cheetah print items give off gyaru vibes and they make your room look adorbs! For example I have a hello kitty jewelry stand with hot pink and zebra print and it's one of my prized possessions. If you look at gyaru room inspos on Pinterest there are tons of inspo photos, most of which include zebra and leopard print things.

Here's a few ways that are more on the social side :) Talk with other gals! There are many discord servers for gyarus (cough Tiara Gyarusa discord server cough) In these servers you can connect and chat with other gals and even get tips to be a better gal :D Blogging is another thing that can help! That is actually why I started to blog, I wanted to be able to help other gals that struggle with fitting in and starting gyaru.

Some visual things you can do to your apperance to incorporate gyaru into your lifestyle is tan (not necessary), do para para or just listen to the music! Propaganda : decked out is not only an incredible build on the OUTSIDE, with a great colour scheme and a lot of detail, it's also a hugely important build for the season in general - being the place most people would hang out for the last few months of the server - and importantly a redstone MASTERPIECE. how did this man create literally an entire game with a point buy system and effect cards and randomised threats in minecraft?! like this is vanilla. i think the only mod used was for the disc system and even then he was ready to run that without mods. on so many levels this is such a fantastic build.

Propaganda : techno and phil's cabins are THE build they're what minecraft is to me maybe not impressive or huge. they use common materials. there's no redstone mechanics. but they're what minecraft is about: making a place yours. making something with your friend. genuinely the most meaningful build in my opinion because it was simple and cozy and made sense for these characters! the stable with carl right in front. the dog house. the soft glow of the beacon. the fact their cabins are connected. similar but not the same. that's my propaganda op. that these cabins sum up what makes minecraft so lovely. and are a great memory for techno. | It's cozy and safe. The perfect hideaway for anyone looking to plan revenge and hold political book clubs. Includes three main houses and a giant training area. It has many adorable animals, including Steve. A polar bear.

Week 6: Brussels & Amsterdam

Hi everyone! As promised, I had a great week abroad! Last week was our last week in the classroom which means this upcoming week is full of finals and goodbyes.

Monday night marked our last time at Dicey’s for student night. It was so fun and we all left sad to go.

Tuesday, we had our last History lecture followed by an exam preparation session. Then, I took a much needed nap and rallied to celebrate the Fourth of July! We went to BadAss downtown and of course requested the most American songs they could sing.

Wednesday, we had our last physics tutorial and then headed to the airport to fly to Brussels, Belgium! We arrived around 7:30 pm and following an abnormally long passport control line, headed to the apartment we rented and to dinner. We had an amazing meal(the meatball I will dream about) and headed to bed.

Thursday, we headed to get coffee, a Belgian Waffle, and explore Brussels! The waffle was so yummy but had me stuffed. Later, we headed to a chocolate making class at the chocolate museum which was so fun. We then picked up some frites and headed back to the apartment. We took naps then headed to a bar to try Belgian Beer. We got two flights which ended up being more than enough for 6 people(the alcohol content in Belgian beers is abnormally high). We had fun tasting all the beers even though some were very gross. We then headed to dinner and back to hang out in our apartment before heading to bed.

Friday, we slept in and headed with our suitcases to a local seafood restaurant. I had mussels(apparently mussels in Brussels is a thing) and shrimp. Both were phenomenal. We then stopped in a church before heading to the train station for our train to Amsterdam! The train station was massive but we were able to find our train and got seats next to each other. Before this point, I had never seen anyone attempt to pick pocket someone, but on one of the later stops in Brussels a thief came on and attempted to take a man’s backpack that was in the overhead area. Luckily, the man recognized it and was able to run off the train and get the backpack back and return to his seat in time. After this, the train ride was nothing too crazy although we were delayed due to traffic at the station in Amsterdam.

Because we were delayed, we hurried off of the train and made the tram to our hostel just in time. The public transportation in Amsterdam was so easy. When we arrived at our hostel, we checked in and had a 5 minute turn around before heading back into the city center for our boat canal tour. The tour was so fun and included unlimited wine(this may have been a downfall). After, we headed to tapas for dinner which was so yummy and then back to our hostel. We intended on taking a short nap and then heading to a techno club, but instead slept until I woke up at 1 am. Luckily, clubs don’t close until very late so everyone rallied and we headed to the techno club. It was super fun and I think we were the only non Dutch speakers in there. The DJ was even using records which I had never seen before and was so cool. When we got back, the sun was starting to rise which must be the sign of a good night.

The next morning was a struggle but we had to be in the city center by 11:00 am for a bike tour. The tour was super cool and around 2 hours. We then got all you can eat sushi and picked up our preordered cookies at Van Stapele. The cookies were so yummy. I then took a much needed ginger, turmeric, and lime shot which tasted terrible but made me feel so much better. We then headed back to take a nap at our hostel before heading to dinner. After dinner, we walked through the Red Light District and then headed back to get ready to go out. We went to a more typical club which was fun but we headed to bed earlier because we were exhausted.

Yesterday morning, we woke up, checked out of our hostel, and headed to get Dutch Pancakes which were amazing. We then walked and shopped around for a while, got a fresh stroopwafel, and headed to the Heineken experience. The Heineken experience was actually amazing and much more interactive and fun than the Guinness one(sorry Guinness). After, we headed back towards our hostel and went to a pizza place very close by. The pizza was amazing and we walked in right on time because about 3 minutes later there was a crazy storm that lasted about 30 minutes. We then headed to the hostel to grab our bags, change, and head to the airport. We arrived home around 11:30 pm and I immediately went to bed to catch up on all my lost sleep.

This morning, I slept in and began to pack up all my stuff while procrastinating studying for final exams. I finally sat down to study and am currently taking a study break before finishing up and heading to bed. Tomorrow is our physics final and it is so crazy to think that the program is coming to an end. I am so happy to have experienced so much in the short time I have had in Dublin and am sad yet excited for our last week.

Hermit!Tommy 7/10: either you where here for the exile arc and you were desperate for Tommy to have company or you are on the Hermitblr side of things and only know Tommy because he is loud and a child tm. Either way! Concept didn’t got popular for no reason and is cool! Only gripe is the Hermits having to drop everything for Tommy and suddenly heing *wise parental people* like they aren’t a bunch of dumbasses… otherwise? Amazing! Especially since it really kickstarted the hc x dsmp content here!

Hermit!Tubbo 10/10: I personally haven’t seen many Tubbo goes to HC concepts but boy would it be amazing! Man admires Etho and if he can better learn redstone with the Hermits you have a bonding activity right there! Not only that but bossman is chaotic af just to match the Hermits and he needs to feel safe please :c please let him feel safe that he doesn’t have to build Nukes :c PLEASE JUST LET HIM PLAY MINI-GAMES-

Hermit!Ranboo 8/10: have… have we considered this???? He-Hello??? Have we explored this?? The potential of lanky boi suddenly being in a world where he doesn’t know no one but he doesn’t have to take sides and this chaotic bastards are nice to him is a good concept! Hermits could investigate the reason of his enderwalk state and also teach him how to use elytra and also use him as errands boy! Like… we should be looking more into this!

Hermit!Fundy 7/10: that fox man needs a positive relationship with authority figures and positive attention in general I SWEAR YOU GUYS!! I swear he is a good candidate! He is older than bench trio so approach is less “oh that is a sad child” and is more “man that young adult is not doing alright huh?” *Holds OWV vacations as evidence why this is a good idea* He canonically talked with Iskall in DSMP and he has played among us with Etho and Doc and he also watches HC!! Please consider fox man going 🥺

Hermit!Niki 100/10: i have yet to even see this concept but I want it sooooooo bad!! Just her being in HC and the Hermits going “why hello! You spooked us there but you seem alright- one second *deflects end crystal attack* there! Would you like to see around?” Niki being the more chill person here and being between amazed and baffled by the Hermits antics would be amazing!

Hermit!Jack Manifold 100/10: this man crawled out of hell! Bet he would like to talk to walking eldritch beacon Cleo and Doc “I killed a god” m77!! He gets to air his frustrations and he also gets to play Tegg! Give him a wacky safe environment to go over his feelings! Let him have fun! Let him get a hug! A “Rocket duo goes to HC” would be ideal

Hermit!Puffy 7/10: i like the headcanon that she was in the same pirate crew as Cleo! Lets do that! Let her visit an old friend! And also this people she admires! Let her have fun with the chaos and also let her white and black morality model be confronted by the madness that the Hermits can unleash!

Hermit!Techno 9/10: from Sundial AU to Worship au any “Techno goes to HC” concept is amazing. Let the pig man talk with Joehills to see if he truly fits the criteria to be Joe’s hels version.

Hermit!Wilbur 7/10: would vary greatly if we are sending wilbur, ghostbur or alivebur but nonetheless Hermits would look at him like “man… this guy is stressed af… maybe play some minigames and you’ll feel better?” And if it is canon that Wilbur built L’Manberg inspired by Grian's buding tutorials and if MCC PRIDE is any indication let Simpbur talk with Grian. It will be wholesome and chaotic

Hermit!Quackity 6/10: wouldn’t be fun if man swears like he often swears but otherwise who says he can’t get a cool prosthetic eye, mingle with other casino owner (mafia bosses) and learn how to better scam people?

Hermit!Dream 11/10: wether is “Dream is one feral cat and the Hermits are going bad! Bad cat! *water spray noises*” or “serious emotional journey where the man with a god complex is confronted with his own mortality when he interacts with ACTUAL gods and relearns humanity” either way. Yes. YESSSSSSS. No matter if you want it to be a crack af concept where the Hermits force him to take like a dozen of seats back because they are op af, or if you take it more seriously. Super great concept!

Hermit!Phil 8/10: Phil is the closest thing DSMP has to a Hermit….that adult is very tired and done with everything… let him go in vacay… let the Hermits go “hello fellow semi-responsible adult that indulges in chaos and destruction! Welcome to the club” like for real guys! What better place for Dadza that the equivalent of a “cool dads club”?

Hermit!Eret 7/10: if Eret is sort of a god they will enjoy hanging out with older sort of gods right? Away from the weight of their betrayal and crown it could be a good vacation plan for Eret! Even if it becomes Eternal Duo vacations… it would be super chill plz consider

Hermit!Foolish 7/10: man would fanboy… and fanboy… and fanboy… and fanboy over the buildings! Would be super wholesome experience! Especially great if he goes with Eret for Eternal Duo vacation plan.

Hermit!Purpled 6/10: Purpled bedwars meets Xisuma bedwars and is otherwise unimpressed with… well everything… Hermits probably give him cool weapons and he goes “pog” and… thats it… Purpled Bedwars is too cool for this /lh (no but for real he also receives positive attention and he probs doesn’t show it but it deff helps him)

Hermit!Sam 6/10: 👏 let 👏 the 👏 redstone creeper 👏 meet more of his kind 👏

And also give him an excuse to step away from his warden role because it isn’t doing any good to him please

Hermit!Ponk 8/10: Ponk would act like a child in a candy store and I don’t blame them. After everything they’ve gone through they deserve to play mini games and have kind people talk to him and indulge in chaos

Hermit!Callahan 1000000000/10: BEST CROSSOVER EVER I SWEAR

Hermit!Badboyhalo 7/10: would be very happy that people are not cursing around him! and the Hermits have dealt with vines so maybe they can help Bad! Hopefully! If he gets cured of that he will have a great time!

Hermit!Skeppy 6/10: man gets extracted from the egg and he just goes in vacation around the server with BBH. Man somehow gets lost in Decked out and Bad has to get him out of there

Hermit!Antfrost |10|/10: it could go either very well or very bad depending on if he hangs out with the Hermits that do sex jokes or the ones that don't. Still! If he can somehow get helped from the egg's possesing him bet he can have a great time

Hermit!Hanna 10/10: 1) get her some help to get rid of the vine possession 2) give her an elytra 3) profit by seeing her do cool stuff (i’m not as familiar with Hanna all I know is that she is incredibly cool and also her initials would be HHRose in this case and that gives this idea extra cool points me thinks)

Hermit!Hbomb 10/10: first he would be HHBomb and that is brilliant already. Second of all he knows some hermits so it would be like going for a sleepover to a friends house! And it can be as fluff or sad as you want! H having friends and False and Ren introduce him to the others? Or H evaluates how alone he is in DSMP and has a breakdown? You decide!

Hermit!Punz 5/10: man gets freed from the red vibes control and he goes “cool” and disappears like the meme since there ain’t enough space in HC for more than one mercenary

Hermit!Karl 7/10: “hello kid! It seems you have no control over your time traveling powers! Need some help?” *roll intro for a slice of life series*

Many video files have a lot of extraneous tracks on them. This can bloat the file size but also when you want to turn on English subtitles or a specific audio track, the choices can be overwhelming. I don’t have much use for Japanese audio or Russian subs. But the commentary track might be of interest and I’d also like to know who is speaking.

So I found this amazing software called MKVToolNix GUI (not the best name, I admit) that lets me organize and select only the tracks I want and I can give them all better descriptions. And it can create new files without re-encoding them from scratch. So instead of a few hours it only takes a minute or two to make these changes.

Like above, I named the video track HEVC/x265 4K HDR. This lets me know I can’t play the file on the non-HDR TVs in the house. AC-3 is the technical name for Dolby Digital, so I changed that to DD 5.1 because that is how my audio receiver displays it. SRT subtitles are plain text based so they are more compatible in general. Also, they take up less space than PGS, which are image based subs. So I try to use SRT when available. 

And by giving these tracks standard nicknames, I can more easily play back the files however I prefer depending on the player I am using and it’s much easier to interpret the descriptions compared to the techno-jargon. 

Sometimes files will have forced subtitles. These are when the show has non-English parts but the subs are not burnt in to the video. A lot of times forced subs are not tagged properly and do not play automatically by default. So I always make sure to fix those tags so video players know to display forced subs without manually enabling them. One less hassle, especially since my parents can’t always remember how to enable subtitles. They usually just end up confused and hope there is enough context in the scenes to get the gist.

I can also attach a movie poster to the video, so instead of Windows showing a generic randomly selected thumbnail...

There are also some more advanced functions that allow me to create the truly perfect file. 

For instance, I found some nice 4K HDR copies of Game of Thrones. However, they only had a basic surround sound track on them. But I was able to find 1080p files that had the lossless Atmos track. In an act of super nerdy digital Frankenstein-ing I was able to add the Atmos tracks to the 4K files. However, my parents can’t play Atmos on their TV, so I made the generic track secondary, so they can select it and still have working audio. 

One other cool thing I can do is find subtitles on the internet and add those to files. I’m creating a little hard drive full of Delling’s favorite shows because they moved Parks & Rec and The Good Place to that new Peacock thing. Delling can’t watch things without subtitles. I got them King of the Hill and Xena, but my files didn’t have any subs at all. So I went to opensubtitles.org and downloaded them. 

It might seem like a lot of work, but I actually really enjoy the process. It’s like going on a scavenger hunt and then building the perfect video file from the parts I’ve found. There is problem-solving... like when the audio doesn’t line up and I have to figure out the proper delay to add. There is an artistic aspect in altering the movie posters to look neat and still be legible as small thumbnails. And there is the reward in the end when I get to stream a 4K HDR movie with Atmos on my humble home theater setup that I’ve spent 10 years building up. 

I don’t know if many people keep digital media collections. I feel like streaming services are a lot more convenient for most. But if there is interest in learning how to do this I might consider trying to make a tutorial.

keep the big chain going!!! i'm in a class this semester for html and css basics/responsive design, so watching somebody else figure it all out in a completely different fashion has been fun and informative. (dunno what programs you're using rn, but W3Schools has amazing tutorials and code validation tools that work for everything HTML, CSS, and JS)

haheho alrighty then!! im using neocities as the host and yeah W3 is a godsend to the those who arent techno nerds. ive never did anything like this before and i wouldnt have it any other way

Drusilla's Soul Chapter 10

Back in San Francisco, Ca

Drusilla’s house-

Drusilla was training in her home. She was doing kickboxing, punching a bag, she was doing bench press and weightlifting. And of course she was doing Meditation to calm her mind, it treated anxiety, depression, pain, and gained her sanity. After she finished training, she took a hot shower washing her hair with Herbal Essences with the fragrance of rose hips. She moaned with bliss as she massaged her scalp and then rinsed the suds from her head. She then picked out Olay Total effects 7 Body Wash and poured into the loofah and washing her ivory, naked body to make her skin smooth and soft. Now she turned off the shower and blindly picked out a white towel around her body and got out of the shower.

Drusilla put on a silk lilac camisole and short, and she blow-dried her brunette hair. She sprayed deodorant in her armpits. She went to the living room and watched TV. In a few seconds later, she turned on her iPhone X to logged in her social media. She wondered what Brittney and David were talking about, this app was called Tinder, right? Yes, she remembered that night talking about the app to start on a date. She wasn’t quiet sure how to use it, but she would give it a try. She already created an account a night ago, she logged in, to her curiosity, she clicked the tutorial to learn how to do setting, locations, maximum distance, gender, and age. Now she finally understood. She began to create her profile to picture herself, her name, her age, her age, and her location. She was a woman who seeking men.

She read “About you” profile description.

‘About me? Hmm…’ Drusilla thought.

She wrote it about herself that she liked reading books, playing video game, cooking, playing with her cat. She then wrote her current job that she was a private investigator. And when she was done, she began to seek handsome men. Of course, she had sexual experience with Angelus and Spike, but they were long dead in Boxer Rebellion in China. They no longer terrorized them. Now that Drusilla was a heroine, and she saved people from horrendous vampires.

Now she began to seek handsome men in profiles, she tapped likes, crosses, and super likes.

A screen suddenly popped up a notification on her phone, she tapped it. It revealed a redhead drew cut hairstyle, fair skin, green eyes, muscular, wearing a gray sweatshirt and red jeans. He was handsome, and his name was Nicholas. He was 26, and he was from Trenton, NJ.

Nicholas: Hi, how are you?

Drusilla replied.

Drusilla: Hi. I’m fine. And you?

Nicholas: I’m doing fine.

Drusilla: That’s good to hear. :)

Nicholas: What are you doing?

Drusilla: Nothing, just watching TV.

Nicholas: Are you bored?

Drusilla: Not really. I think it’s my first time to use Tinder. A friend of mine told me that night she wanted me to chat any people. You know, like dating.

Nicholas: Ah, I see. You’re here for a date.

Drusilla: Hahaha, I don’t know. I’m quite kinda nervous.

Nicholas: Oh, don’t be. Maybe I can help you to overcome your nervousness and socially awkward.

Drusilla: Really? You’ll help me?

Nicholas: Of course. Here, let me send you a link.

Nicholas sent her a link and Drusilla click the link. She watched the video of how to overcome your socially awkward and make those conversations smoothly. And when she finished, she thanked Nicholas for the advice.

20 Minutes Later

Drusilla had chatted so many guys, thanks to Nicholas’ help. Everything went smoothly. It was really fun to chat many people on the internet. She went to the kitchen to get pig blood. She poured into the mug and warmed it up in the microwave. She took out the mug from the microwave and sat on a couch to relax. She heard ding notification from her phone. She looked at notification from Tinder app that said you got matched. Curiously, she opened her Tinder app to reveal a handsome man in his mid-20s. He had midnight black hair, grey eyes, muscular, white T-shirt with black leather. His name was Leon. He was from San Francisco that Drusilla lived in the same city.

Leon: Hi, how are you doing?

Drusilla: I’m fine. How about yourself?

Leon: I’m okay. What are you doing?

Drusilla: I’m drinking my tea. And what about you?

Leon: I’m working on my music production. I’m a DJ producer.

Drusilla: Oh, that sounds neat.

Leon: Yeah, do you like music?

Drusilla: Of course, I’m a music lover.

Leon: Lol, well, you’ve got a lot of fun, huh?

Leon: What’s your favorite genre?

Drusilla: I like techno, dance, pop, country, and rock.

Leon: Cool. I like hip-hop, dance, trance, techno, and electronic.

Drusilla: That’s awesome.

Leon: Lol, well, I’ve never seen a girl who has such beauty.

Drusilla: Lol, you’re making me blush, Leon.

Leon: Oh, am I? I’ve never seen you around here before. Can you show me a photo of you?

Drusilla: My photo?

Leon: Yeah. I wanna see what you look like.

Drusilla: Show me first.

Leon sent himself a photo to her, revealing a handsome guy putting hands in his pockets wearing a black leather jacket, white shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Drusilla: You’re so handsome.

Leon: Thanks. And yours?

Drusilla: Okay.

Drusilla sent herself a photo to him wearing a silk lilac camisole and shorts in a sexy pose, revealing her cleavage a bit from her camisole.

Leon: You’re so gorgeous.

Drusilla: Thank you.

Leon: Hey, I was wondering if you want to go out with me.

Drusilla: Yeah, sure. Wanna start a tomorrow night?

Leon: Yeah, tomorrow will be perfect. How about we go to dining place?

Drusilla: I think I know the place. It’s one of my favorite dining restaurant called The Big 4. How about this?

Leon: Perfect. I will see you tomorrow night. Meet me 6 PM, okay? ;)

Drusilla: Sure. I’ll see you tomorrow, Leon.

End of conversation.

‘Yes! Yes! He asked me out!’ Drusilla thought, jumping excitedly. ‘Better mark my calendar.’ She marked the calendar it was her first date tomorrow at six o’clock in the night. She couldn’t wait.

The Next Night

Drusilla caught an Uber to ride down to the dining restaurant. She glanced at her watch it was 5:45 PM. It was 15 minutes before her arrival at 6:00 PM. She had to be there for her first date. The Uber driver had arrived to his destination, she thanked the driver and got out of his car. She scanned around the area looking for Leon. With a sound of car honking caught her attention. It was a black Mercedes-Benz. A man got out of his car and walked toward Drusilla.

“Hi, are you Drusilla?” he asked.

“Yes, I am. And you are Leon?” She asked.

“That’s me. How are you tonight?” Leon asked.

“I’m doing great. I got here early.” said Drusilla.

“That’s great. So, shall we have a bite to eat?” asked Leon.

Drusilla nodded, “Yeah. Let’s go.”

They entered the dining restaurant, the host welcomed them and guided them to the dining table and gave them a menu. The waiter asked them what they want to order. Leon ordered Cioppino and Drusilla ordered salmon. He offered them a red wine. Their orders would be here in 30 minutes.

“I love how this restaurant is so huge. You can hear the piano playing. It’s marvelous.” said Leon.

“I know, I’m just glad I chose the right place. And I’m glad I meet you for the first time.” said Drusilla, smiling.

Leon laughed, “I know, right? This place is gorgeous that I’ve never been in there before.”

“So I say this is your first time to being in here in the restaurant, indeed.” said Drusilla.

“Hm, you’re very sharp-witted.” said Leon.

“So, uh, how’s your family doing?” She asked.

“Oh, they’re alright. My family and I are very close,” Leon said. “ We talked through things. My parents are so amazing, they’re brilliant.”

“That’s nice. I had a family, well… I lost my family when I was very young. They died in a sort of accident.” said Drusilla, sadly.

Of course, she had to lie. Her family was killed by Angelus in right front of her. He mentally tortured her mind that melt away her sanity before she sired by Angelus. She shed a tear a bit, and when Leon felt sympathetic toward her and held her hand. Drusilla looked at Leon in the eyes.

“I’m so sorry, Dru. I didn’t realize.” said Leon.

“Uh, no. It’s fine. I’m just get over with.” said Drusilla, wiped her tears.

The waiter finally had their order, and they started to eat.

After they finished eating their food and desserts and paid the food bill. They bid farewell to the host and walked to Leon’s car. Leon drove Drusilla home. They had so much fun tonight. Leon had arrived to Drusilla’s house. Drusilla gave him a kiss.

“Thanks for riding me home.” smiled Drusilla.

“Oh, it’s no problem. Here, take my card. Call me when you need me.” said Leon, gave Drusilla a business card.

“I will. Good night.” said Drusilla.

“Good night.” said Leon, began to depart at Drusilla’s house.

Drusilla entered her housed and closed the door behind her. She sighed. She was so exhausted tonight. She took off her heeled sandals and walked to the bathroom upstairs. She unzipped her red dress and put on a robe. She turned on hot water for a bath. She turned on a water jet, she had a jacuzzi tub. She poured bubble bath and Epsom salt into the tub. She tore the rose petal and sprinkled into the tub. She turned off the water. She went downstairs to the kitchen to get a bucket of ice with champagne, and picked out the wine glass from the cabinet, and she went back upstairs to the bathroom. Next, she found some white candles from the closet. She poured herself a champagne, lighted those candles, and turned off the light with the beautiful alight candles. She took off her robe and turned on a radio with jazz music. She picked a glass of champagne and got into the tub and relax.

After she bathed, she dried herself and put on a lilac nightgown, and she brushed her teeth. And now she blew all the candles and went to sleep.

With a hectic work life balance, she proves with the right time management, and utilizing the correct priorities, anything is possible. So long as you don’t ‘push the feeling & you’re enjoy what you’re doing,’. That’s all that matter as long as you pull it off with a smile. It is all that counts.

Q. Hey, Ellen, first off thanks for taking the time to talk to CLIQUE this morning, how’s things?

A. Things are looking up really; it is looking like things are finally going in the right direction for me at the moment, so got all the time in the world. I always seemed to complain about time I just didn’t seem to have; but now I have the time. It’s weird… *chuckles* I’m just really lucky.

Q. How you been handling lock-down?

A. To be honest it’s been pretty easy, I’ve stuck by the rules, done what’s been asked. I’ve just kept being productive, woke up, and made sure I make the most of my time.

Q. It has been a bit of a mad year hasn’t it?

A. It’s been a crazy year, already doing a teaching course, but I’ve gotten through and I’m at the end, and ready to relax a little bit more now.  Time to prioritize things a bit more.

Q. This year has seen you take up more music, with your new Instagram page, (Click for link.) more regular music, how you finding your music making?

A. I definitely think every track I post is getting better. I’ve got loads to learn and I’m nowhere near I want to be but would love to get to know more of the equipment that’s out there. See, I feel like having the separate music page definitely helps. It’s keeping friends, friends; separate to those who are interested in my platform for music. It makes it so much more better for the journey.

Q. We have followed your sound for a couple of years now and must say every track you make brings its own unique sound. How do you go about it?

A. To be honest, I feel when I sit down and have a plan it won’t make out how I want it to anyways. So, I start with a kick then synths, unlike bass or kick second. Synths to me bring out the vibes and heart of the song. So, the synth takes the track on it’s way. However, I’ve done a very kick & bass track recently literally driven my track currently.

Q. What makes a good track?

A. For me it’s all about the emotion, it’s all about when you can feel something rather than throwing everything together which can sound pretty basic, I’d like to say I try to tell a story.

Q. You’ve been involved in music for years, you’ve sang, you were a part of the band BERNACCIA, you’re producing music, what’s been your favorite? Or is this all a part of the process?

A. Well I was at Uni and it was such an exciting part of my life; but it wasn’t the best part of my life, the band I joined, however, were the some of the best memories I’ve ever made, but I think in my third year of Uni I felt I was relying on other people and felt I was on the same step without moving forward so I thought it's now or never to self-teach myself watching tutorial after tutorial and just getting on with it. Fast forward to now it’s such a great feeling.

Q. Favorite genre and why?

A. It’s really hard I listen to really atmospheric techno like ‘Afterlife’ and then the other spectrum heavy techno. I’ve found if I’m playing on the decks at home I like to really play the heavy stuff to move and dance.

Q. Where do you see yourself in 5 years’ time?

A. It’s hard to say, I don’t really think about the future but this year, the first goal is to post some sets online, would love more feedback, a public appearance DJ set would be amazing and even a singular track signed. See, I’m so content with what I’m doing, the speed is great, so let's just see what happens. ‘As long as I’m smiling.

Q. Who’s your top 3 influencers?

A. Fideles, literally just headphones on and it tucks me away. VTSS’s vibe is so unique and slightly heavier. AirRod always listened on Amelie lens label, his tunes are always one to make you bop you can’t not dance to them. They are all the most recent at the moment that I’m totally into.

Q. You certainly like to two-step, tell me one of your all-time favorite festival and memory.

A. English festival was JUCTION2, the group we went with was perfect, sun shining, vibes brilliant, the whole weekend just on cloud 9. Outside UK 100% ADE Amsterdam they have the festivals in the world. Sound systems are unreal, the people are lovely they’re there for the music they’re cool as fuck! It’s always a good vibe and you are always a party guaranteed somewhere. When we went to ADE me and my mate got backstage long story short, my friend was nearly going to get kicked out but when we came back in, this lad who saw us nearly get kicked out got us back in, simply amazing didn’t sleep for three days aha…

Q. Your perfect night out?

A. Perfect night out to me is, hyping yourself up with your friends at pre’s or even just meeting in a bar for me it’s always Tokyo. Going into the club getting a drink then always find your position on the dance floor and stay there all night in the middle never too close to the front, always center of the dance floor.

Q. Perfect night in?

A. Pretty similar, I love to make cocktails, I don’t drink all the time but it is nice to drink in the house to relax, put a set on the tv have a conversation with friends about life and just have happy vibes and let the positive aura float around.

Q. Peroni or Vodka?

A. Peroni! 100% every time every day.

Q. Do you find there is a time limit on making music?

A. That’s a funny one I can’t make tracks dead quick I could make one, like a decent one in a week it just depends on how you’re feeling. I don’t have a plan; it just happens and some days it doesn’t happen at all. If I’m not feeling it I just start afresh and then just start again. But then again sometimes if I’m not feeling it, I just leave it to come back to. I think with me as when you’re hearing the same thing and I may actually love the sound but at the same time I may get sick of it; so I have to remember at one point I y’know I liked it, so it's great to have fresh ears to come back to, so it’s all unpredictable.

Q. If you could survive on a desert island with only three things what would they be and why?

A. I’d want a bloody hat, like a funky hat. Some acid *ha lol* and an iPod with some headphones because probably going to die so may as well go out with a bang…

Q. Which festival are you still wanting to go to?

A. TimeWarp unquestionable wanted to go and still haven’t been able to make it. Coursework and Uni got in the way. It’s been a fine balance. It’s literally is learning to keep a fine balance. Work-life balance. One day…

Q. Tell me about your latest track, ‘Evil Intentions’ & ‘A Portion of Matter...’

A. Well, like I said earlier it’s one end of the spectrum to the other, in the definition of ‘ A Portion of Matter’ made it a long time ago I got a little sick of it, I make that many synths it got a little messy. Erm… so left it a couple of months. Came back and you know what then fixed it and it just happened once I rearranged better. Evil Intentions just happened in two days and boom it happened.

Q. If you could collaborate with anyone who would it be?

A. Oh, this is a good question hmm…. There's a DJ who he’s called Jan Vercauteren, (click for link.) he’s big but he has his own sound and his tracks are class. I remember thinking I wish I could make something that; would love for him to be able to show me how to make some acid leads. His tracks seem to have all these elements that just seem to work.

Q. Any final things you would like to add?

A. No just thank you. Haven’t really talked about my music so nice to talk about my music and where I am.

FINALLY!

Hey Internet!

The big day is here and there is so much to cover! I got the deluxe edition and i must say, the case, art book, and enamal pin are all absolutely excellent additions. I am an enamel pin collector so I was pleasantly surprised to see such a nice one attached to my favorite video game franchise of all time.

Loading it up felt like an eternity. 100% cried at the beginning as Dearly Beloved started to play. Overall the game looks gorgeous and the opening cutscene was pure joy to watch. Though, I will admit, this was my least favorite Hikaru Utada songs that I have heard. Felt very techno and scratchy and not my sort of thing. Still, it fit well with the visuals and the cutscene had that vague FF sort of vibe to it that we have come to know and love.

Class KH stained glass window tutorial/opening. WOO!! That stained glass has never looked so shiny!

So we spent all this time waiting for KH3 and what is one of the first things they tell us? We are playing KH2.9. This seemed like a middle finger and sorta pointless. If it’s an intro, it’s still technically KH3. Ah well, 13 years of waiting, I can wait .1 more time =D

Mount Olympus has never looked so good, graphics and environment are simply a joy to move around. Controls feel more free than they ever have been, Sora’s fluid movements are borderline too bouncey, but you adjust rather quickly and the fast reaction/movement times are absolutely essential to keeping up with the combat.

KH1 slowly introduced you to lots of other mechanics like blocking, dodge rolls, or any forms or flashy moves. KH3 skips all of that (but allows you to keep practicing in the tutorial if need be) and as someone who has played the original two, this is a huge benefit. Giving you old mechanics while slowly adding more and more, leading up to brand new mechanics, seems well paced. Never too long as you get bored, but not too fast as some new shiny grabs your attention.

Should I mention the classic KH3 cheese and goofiness? Nah, it’s in full force and it’s awesome.

Only real mechanic I have to say I had an issue with is the dashing using the scope thingy towards the end of Mount Olympus. While the actual movements aren’t difficult, the environment felt annoying to test this new mechanic out in that the rocks were spaced rather odd. Either too far away or I couldn’t move my camera towards them quick enough. Didn’t take too long to figure things out and move on. I am hoping there isn’t too much of this in future worlds.

The story is as vague and engaging as always. It’s amazing how this games writing can simultaneously be nothing but pronouns and strange stares into the distance, and yet I am at the edge of my chair wanting them to explain.

Evil Screens!

I keep seeing people talking about the dangers of letting kids use devices. They are scared that iPads and iPhones are going to ruin them forever. They say things like, “Keep your children away from screens for as long as possible!” 

They will brag that their 9-year-old has never held a smartphone and stroke their amazing parental egos. “Only books for little Timmy!” 

And then there are those parents that don’t even have televisions. TELEVISION IS WHERE THE CARTOONS ARE!

It’s like some sort of maddening selective Amish-ness. 

It just makes me wonder if the concept of moderation has not been considered. 

Is there not something between “never use devices” and “constantly using devices”? 

A techno-spectrum, if you will. 

Technology has become similar in many ways to a foreign language. And if you know anything about languages, the younger you are introduced to it, the easier it will be to master. 

The sooner kids learn how to use common technology, the more prepared they will be for a future run by that technology. 

Learning to type. Learning how user interfaces work. Understanding the basics of file systems. Understanding software functionality. Understanding hardware components and what they do. Not to mention all of the creative tasks that can be accomplished. 

I remember that 11-year-old girl who was creating layered, full-color, digital comics. Batman with a dad-bod at the beach. 

Her mom showed a video of her creating the comics. She was using a tablet and pen and navigating the drawing app like she had been using it for years. Kids learn sooo fast.  

For most people, these are more valuable life skills than trigonometry. If you were to ask a teacher “when will I use technology in real life?” they won’t have to lie. They can honestly say, “ALL THE FREAKIN TIME!” 

Like it or not, screens are an integral part of our world now.

Once I was immersed in the world of technology, I could approach almost any device and figure out how it works within minutes. Setting up a television. Working a smartphone. Putting together a home theater. I can open pretty much any software and perform basic functions without a tutorial. 

I once had a temp job and they told me to make a spreadsheet. I had created approximately 0 spreadsheets in my life at that point. I took 20 minutes and pressed every button. I tried every menu option. Then I started putting the numbers in the boxes. My supervisor viewed my work and was like, “Looks good!” 

My general familiarity with software allowed me to literally bullshit a spreadsheet. 

And because I started out putting together PCs, I can make better buying decisions about hardware. Which is another important life skill I feel is underrated. Especially for those with limited funds. I can assess any gadget or device or component and usually know if it is junk or not. 

I can also problem solve most complicated computer malfunctions. I have good diagnostic skills and can often fix the issue myself. I don’t have to call the Geek Squad or bribe my 10-year-old cousin who is “good at the cyber.” 

I got my first computer at 13. I can’t imagine how adept my techno-literacy would be if I had started at 5. 

I understand there are worries about kids being glued to screens all day. But I don’t think removing devices from their lives completely is a good solution either.
