The concept that an adult character and a kid character can't love eachother tons and have it be completely platonic is pure bullshit made up by proshippers and their apologists.I'm in my 20s and have a good handful of teen friends who i'm super close to and we frequently refer to eachother as siblings because that's how we see eachother.The reason i have no problem befriending them is that i'm an eldest sibling with three younger ones who i also have great relathionships so i enjoy being nice to and looking out for people younger than me and that i have a lot of 'childish' interests such as pg media and 'cutesy' things so we bonded over our love for those and got to know eachother in the process.There's nothing inappropriate about that,only intergenerational friendship and found family,and i would be completely justified in being a ruthless asshole to anyone who implied otherwise

This especially applies towards cases where the reason they love eachother is that they're traumatized and the other showed them kindness and i've got that going on both ways in some of the friendships i mentioned and i want to be a good adult figure in my friends' lives unlike the ones who hurt them.If you can't look at a GROWN ASS PERSON and a CHILD having an unbreakable bond without saying something romantic must be going on and crying about how you 'mean only in fiction!!!',that's on you and your creepy ass that nobody likes

When i was almost entierly friendless and lost in myself,lesbians and trans women gave me their friendship in the form of kind words,support,defending me,making things for me they knew i'd love,fun hangouts and did and have done nothing but make me love myself in my transmasculine and nonbinary/bigender girlhood even when i don't know them and are the type of woman i relate the most to like i do my fellow black women and i'm now dating a trans woman who was my best friend for a long time and stuck by me through stick and thin and i love them-they are pre op and e and have specifically asked for they/them until they can start their transition-with my entire heart,soul and life because they were exactly the person,the kinda girl i could've used in my life as a bullied autistic tomboy that was getting fucked up without even knowing it and i deeply admire my lesbian friends femme and butch alike for their amazing gender expression and how beautiful their love is and they've said the same about me
