Amour (Claude de Alger Obelia)
Tumblr media
TAGS: Claude/F!reader, alternate universe, childhood friends, breeding, obsession, yandere, smut, drabble Ao3 ver. | Ko-fi | Commissions (OPEN)
It’s almost hilarious how at a certain point in his life he thought himself to be unworthy of love. That he didn’t need such a frivolous and fleeting emotion that served no purpose within the messy and undeniably dangerous world of royalty, nobility, and politics.
At least until you came into his life.
A disgraced princess of a fallen kingdom that could barely be seen on a map and the worthless spare prince made for quite a pair.
You came to him when he was a young boy two years your senior, and you were a scared little girl sentenced to a life of servitude to your conquerors. Perhaps it had been fate taking pity on his miserable life when you were assigned to serve him.
For once in his life Claude felt warmth and softness from someone else other than his mother. Someone who had no obligation to look at him with kind eyes and treat him with such sincerity that sometimes he felt as if he was the one taking advantage of your kindness.
And even as he was engaged to that harlot Penelope Judith who clearly only had eyes for his older brother and the throne, he paid no mind to their schemes.
When he did catch the two in bed together, Anastacius’ attempt to humiliate him further didn’t faze Claude one bit. Rather, it became the final nail in the coffin of grievances that he’d long harbored.
Claude de Alger Obelia ascends the throne on a bright and sunny day and simultaneously marries his childhood sweetheart, a princess of a conquered nation.
The whereabouts of the former crown prince and his previous fiance had never been found. Rumors say that the two eloped together to live a humble life away from the burdens of royalty and politics.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“That’s it…Take everything I’m giving you…”
Claude grunted as he watched your eyes practically roll to the back of your head as he repeatedly forced his cock inside of you, trying to mold your cunt into remembering his shape.
His own eyes practically glowed in the dark as he committed to memory the sight of you during what was currently the best day of your lives.
Years of scheming had finally paid off, and now there was nothing left to do but ensure that once morning light came, your child would already be growing inside your belly.
The Diary of Life Chapter 25 The Wedding Night
A/N from @ladymeraud Hello from sunny Scotland.  Today is the 275 anniversary of Culloden moor.  Raise a glass to the fallen
 So, the wedding night.
AO3
They danced and drank. Whisky and beer flowed. Jamie also made sure their was French wine and spirits from the Lallybroch distillery. Toasts were made in French, English, and Gaelic. They wanted to honor all there and the auld ways.
Dinner was mainly made out of Lallybroch’s kitchen. Claire had some of the men hunt a stag to be served as the main meat.
They danced to a variety of songs, English, French, and Gaelic. They even had a bagpipe player. Claire loved how his kilt spun as he danced with her. She also danced with Brian, both Ian’s, Frank, Theo, but her  favorite, outside her husband, is Fergus.
As she danced with the others, Jamie talked to Ian Sr. about combining the distilleries in Lallybroch and North Carolina. A good business opportunity, but one that would have to wait. He would have to go to North Carolina and taste their products. He would but today was his wedding day.
As Ian Jr. and Sr. lifted toasts to their new found family, Jamie gave her a ‘I really am ready to ravish you’ look. If had her excusing herself and following her husband to the private croft he had prepared for this night.
He lifts her up and carries her over the threshold. Inside is a mix of flowers and candles. “You did this?”
“Aye, all but lighting the candles. Frank slipped in to do that an hour ago. Your brother-in-law really loves you.”
She nods from his arms. “He does. Will you show me how much you do?”
A growl as he takes her lips. The kiss is tough but gentle. He lowers her down after in a way she can feel his erection.  She groans and he starts to untie the many ribbons holding her dress up. He is impatient but careful. He doesn’t want to harm her dress.
Finally she is down to a corset covering a thin shift. As he parts the corset, her nipples, as red and big as cherries, greet him.  Lord, do they taste as sweet? He wonders. Before he can find out, his wife is reaching for the belt holding his kilt up.
“My turn,” she says in a voice thicker then he has ever heard. She unbuckles it and it falls with a clatter.  She groans as she lifts his shirt off. He is magnificent. Hard as iron and looking like William the Conqueror.
With a gasp, he pulls her flush against him,  untying her shift with his teeth.  He pushes it off her shoulders and off. He knows he must have her now or die.
“Please Jamie. I need you.” He lifts her up by that fine arse, placing her nipples in range of his mouth. As he samples them, leads them to the bed. He lays down placing her on top.
“Oh!” she guides him into her and shudders at the feel. He is everywhere. “Jamie Jamie Jamie, I love you. Oh how I love you!” She starts to move riding him. Her words and movement have made him harder. A few harder slides up and down and she is crying out as she finds her pleasure. He holds her hips, thrusting up, and finding his own.
They lay sweaty together after. “That was a fine beginning Dr. Fraser’.”
“Yes my husband, it was.” He kisses her forehead. Her eyes drift shut. “Sorry, it has been a long week.”
“Sleep mom amour, tha gaol agam ort mo bhean agus mo ghradh (I love you my wife and love).”  Jamie said.  she smiled at him.  “tha gaol agam ort cuideachd mo ghaisheach dearg (I love you too my red warrior)” she said.  they both feel asleep but woke several hour later and loved each other again.
Day 5-Stilts
Characters: Napoleon, Jean, Isaac, and Yukari (MC)
Pairings    : Jean x Napoleon, Isaac x MC
Ao3 Link  : Here
Tumblr media
All was quiet, save for the soft pitter-patter of rain on the attic window. If it wasn't for his superior hearing, Jean might've missed the heavy sigh that escaped his companion's lips.
Napoleon was leaning on the sill with his cheek propped by the back of his hand. He looked neither sleepy nor deep in thought, gazing absent-mindedly towards the city down below.
They had been sitting this way for half an hour. Jean recalled how the emperor gently took his hand and urged him to come with him after sparring.
"I haven't spent enough time with you," Napoleon spoke sternly. "Can I borrow you for today?"
Jean was correct to let Napoleon lead him up the stairs, thinking that it was loneliness he saw in his eyes. This strange relationship between them, toeing the lines between amour and camaraderie, allowed Jean to see Napoleon's colors which he seldom revealed to anyone.
That 'anyone' apparently included Isaac, the subject of today's woes.
Jean was by no means unobservant. His newfound courage to come downstairs more often in daylight (which Sebastian applauded) meant he could observe the other mansions' residents more closely. Though he still had to dodge the troublemakers Arthur and Dazai whenever possible.
But that also meant he was able to discover new facts about his fellow residents, both directly or from other sources, namely Sebastian. Sometimes, when he entered the kitchen to ask for Rouge (at Napoleon's urging), he'd get roped into the butler's early morning gossip with the mysterious young woman whom he'd learned came from the future through that despicable count's door.
The girl, Yukari, was Isaac's paramour.
Jean supposed her arrival was instrumental in making Napoleon seek his company. What little time Isaac had when not teaching the children, he'd spend more of it with his lover, and less with Napoleon.
It must be boring being a reincarnated emperor, seeing as Napoleon latched onto Jean and his weapons shop. He even made Jean a new tutor in his makeshift school where he, Isaac, and Yukari, taught.
(Jean himself thought it was sweet seeing Napoleon interact with children).
Recently, he'd been sensing something amiss between the two original teachers. Isaac was more awkward with him than usual (and that was saying something), while Yukari's expression changed to a troubled one at any mention of Napoleon. But the woman always skilfully dodged Jean's questions when he asked if his partner had done something towards her.
( Not a very good liar, Jean concluded.)
Everything fell in place when one of the younger children casually asked if "Napoleone" was fighting with Isaac since they were now rarely seen together. " I don't know about that" was his answer, the same one he used when Sebastian suddenly spilled all his speculations on the physicist and former emperor's state of affairs and egged Jean for details.
"They're almost brothers, the two of them." Sebastian sighed. "To think they'd drift apart like this was unthinkable."
It's because of the girl Jean was tempted to say. But he decided to keep his peace instead. Napoleon would come to him in due time. That led Jean to where he was now, spending the gloomy rainy afternoon with a similarly gloomy man.
The taciturn soldier came to attention when the man before him sucked in a deep breath.
"Relax, Jean. I wasn't going to whip you." Napoleon snickered. It sounded hollow.
"Forgive me," Jean apologized for nothing in particular. Time seemed to halt at that very moment, emerald eyes locking with his.
"Isaac is afraid of getting hurt," Napoleon began. "So much so that Yukari even refrains from being frank with him, even when she needs to be. When they need to be with one another."
The eyepatched soldier gazed at him intently, waiting for him to finish.
"Handling people like Isaac, well, it requires you to be cautious both ways," He combed his bangs back with his hand. "If he wants to be comfortable with you, you will have to assure him that you don't feel burdened with his presence, that having him come to you is gratifying enough."
Napoleon paused, seemingly in conflict over what he was about to deliver next.
"In hindsight, maybe this was an error on my part." he sighed, for what was the umpteenth time this afternoon. "I told him, once..."
Jean closed his eye and nodded.
"'At this point, there is nothing that you can say or do to hurt me'" Napoleon repeated his promise he gave Isaac long ago." And trust me that no circumstance will ever cause us to part."
Jean's eye flew open. Yet he remained silent. His eyed one of Napoleon's hands, clenching and unclenching the fabric of his cape. Then, with the same trembling hand, the emperor reached out to graze his cheek. He leaned into the touch, thinking that it might offer Napoleon some respite.
It was true. The softness of Jean's skin was soothing. Warm despite the frigid air outside.
After some time, Napoleon withdrew and looked at Jean expectantly, allowing him to speak.
"But you hurt him instead," Jean stated, matter-of-factly. "And he is now avoiding you."
"Sure did," Napoleon mumbled, gazing out into the drenched city below. "Too many times over the course of their relationship, of course."
"You're worried."
"Well, why shouldn't I?" he barked. "I can't say this out loud. Won't say this out loud. Not even to my real brothers. I dote on him the same way I did them. I was stern, which I'm not with Isaac. I took responsibility for them as their guardian. Still, I need to respect my distance and believe that they'll make the best decisions for themselves even without my input."
"I've heard of historians and even courtiers of my time accusing me of steering my family to further my goals. Well," Napoleon paused to catch his breath. "They can say whatever they wish to say, but bold of them to assume that I waste my nights thinking about what my brothers do or don't do to keep their marriage afloat."
Jean took Napoleon's tirade in a sedated manner, mollifying the emperor's burst of anger to some extent.
Shame soon took over Napoleon's conscience as the lone dark eye regarded him calmly.
"In the end, I have to admit," Napoleon exhaled. "I do care too much about him. And Yukari too."
"I noticed little things that didn't sit well with me about their relationship. In good faith, I tried relaying my thoughts to Isaac, but he didn't take it well." He admitted. "I was a fool. It was a matter of Isaac's pride as a man. Who wouldn't feel wounded if an outsider came up to him and pointed out the faults in his intimate relationship with a woman?"
"I failed to think of him as a man," his lament continued. "I saw him as a brother and failed to acknowledge his worth as his own, mature man with responsibilities." Napoleon finished, burying his face into the crook of his arm.
Outside, the rain was ceasing. Jean could discern the arc of a rainbow in the far-off distance.
Gingerly, he covered Napoleon's hand with his own. He has long removed his gloves, eliminating the barrier between flesh.
"That wasn't a brother you were describing," Jean whispered. "You spoke of him as a son."
Once, they too had walked on eggshells with this particular subject.
Sebastian spoke to Jean once —in meticulous detail —about the King of Rome and Napoleon's distraught at being torn apart from his son. Jean pretended not to know about it afterward, only for Napoleon to bring up the topic himself one day when they were out in the fields letting their horses graze.
He allowed —nay, invited Jean to indulge in his nostalgia of lost family and friends, even his previous loves.
(Jean felt a tinge of irritation whenever Napoleon mentioned Josephine, though he supposed there was no point envying a woman long dead and buried.)
Jean understood Isaac by a fraction. The man saw relationships as walking on stilts, carefully balancing yourself lest you tip and crash.
And bring the other person down with you.
Jean had numerous other parables to illustrate his connections, but he'd rather not dwell upon them now. Not when the man who helped complicated them were here to seek comfort
(In him).
Napoleon's snicker brought Jean out of his reverie.
"I suppose I do play the role sometimes," he contemplated Jean bemusedly. "That would make you his mother, then."
"But I'm not —" Jean flushed upon realizing what he meant. " Napoleon Bonaparte. " He mock-threatened.
Napoleon laughed, a sound Jean had been yearning to hear.
"But I do like to picture us with children," Napoleon leaned back. "I bet they'd be just as beautiful as you."
Jean's blush grew redder at the moment, provoking the other man to tease him further.
"Knowing you, I hope you don't scare them too much," Napoleon cooed. "You frown too much. It breaks my heart to see that delicate face contort into a scowl."
"Stop it already," Jean was burning scarlet right up to his ears. "You're embarrassing me."
"But I know you'd spoil those tykes to no end," the Nightmare of Europe continued. "I wonder what they'd grow up to be, under our nurture."
Jean furiously wiped his face. "That's impossible. You know that."
"True," Napoleon smiled wistfully. "But what an entertaining thought."
The exquisite soldier peeked warily at Napoleon behind his sleeve.
"What?" the smirking man chuckled. "Was that a bit too sappy?"
Jean pouted at him impishly. "For an allegedly terrifying conqueror such as you? Definitely."
"But now that I've known you, nothing about you is ever surprising anymore, Napoleon." Jean lied. He knew there were still many layers of Napoleon that he had yet to uncover.
In that familiar attic, the two men beamed at each other in comfortable stillness, the problem of Isaac and Yukari temporarily forgotten.
They could hear Jupiter's cry in the open, a sure sign that the rain had ended.
Three Minutes to Eternity: My ESC 250 (#230-221)
#230: Dschinghis Khan -- Dschinghis Khan (Germany 1979)
"Die Hufe ihrer Pferde, die peitschten im Sand Sie trugen Angst und Schrecken in jedes Land Und weder Blitz noch Donner hielt sie auf"
"The hoofs of their horses, they lashed in the sand They carried fear and horror in every country And neither flash nor thunder stopped them"
One of my favorite songs to jam to is Boney M's "Rasputin". A disco-influenced song about the life of "Russia's greatest love machine", it's energetic while telling that of a myth. I mention this because Dschinghis Khan is compared to this often, in all the ways.
Only this time, it's about the great conqueror Chinghis Khan, who took over the whole universe (and lasted for a very long time). From how he struck fear across the steppe to fathering seven children in one night, he is seen as the embodiment of masculinity.
While entertaining, sometimes I'm put off by the gimmickry. It can be argued that it wouldn't age that well today, because it can be seen as culturally appropriative or mocking Mongolian culture. But for what it's worth, it's enjoyable and still a classic today.
Personal and actual ranking: 4th/19 in Jerusalem
#229: Louisa Baïleche -- Monts et Merveilles (France 2003)
“Oh, mon amour Où es-tu, mon amour?” “Oh, my love Where are you, my love?”
A definite case of love at first listen for me—Monts et Merveilles is a calming ballad, albeit with sad lyrics about the end of a relationship. The instrumentation is quite nice; it reminds me of songs that stood out on the charts during that time. It also had the "ethnic style" percussion in the bridge, which made me think that France Televisions wanted to mix what worked in the last two years (ballads) with the ethnic sounds from the 1990s (as Louisa is half Kablye, an Algerian ethnic group)
Despite it, it got a pretty low result—though it may be because 2003 was a stronger year songwise compared to the two years that came before it. Or it maybe because of the hair getting into her face that took away from the experience...
Personal ranking: 5th/26 Actual ranking: 18th/26 in Riga
#228: Hakol Over Habibi -- Halayla (Israel 1981)
"הלילה, הלילה, יהיה זה הלילה נאמר דברים שלא אמרנו מעולם"
"Tonight, tonight, it will be the night We’ll say things we’ve never said before"
On a random note, whenever I would search up Idan Raichel's "Hakol Over", Hakol Over Habibi would be one of the first search items that pop up. I would completely ignore it until now, when they actually participated in Eurovision!
That said, Halayla is very groovy song which plays with the disco vibe of the 1970s and the highly energetic choreography that would define 1980s Israeli Eurovision entries. The instrumentation is quite awesome, with the mix of piano, strings, and I think accordion setting up the vibe. (And it switches well from minor to major and back again , which can go awry when done wrong).
The members seem to have a ball on stage, and Kikki looks beautiful in her dress, which was fitted that way because she was pregnant at the time!
Personal ranking: 5th/20 (though it jumps around often...) Actual ranking: 7th/20 in Dublin
#227: Wind -- Laß die Sonne in dein Herz (Germany 1987)
"Manchmal bist du traurig und weißt nicht warum Tausend kleine Kleinigkeiten machen dich ganz stumm Du hast fast vergessen wie das ist, ein Mensch zu sein Doch du bist nicht allein"
"Sometimes you feel sad and you don’t know why Thousands of little reasons are making you dumb You nearly forgot what it’s like to be a human being But you are not alone"
Wind has the interesting distinction of participating three times and coming in second twice out of those three. The first one, "Fur Alle" was seen as such as a big contender that there were bets made against it winning. And then it didn't.
Laß die Sonne in dein Herz didn't come that close to winning in 1987, but I can argue it's the better song of the the three.
It catches you right away with the reggae influences, which creates a relaxed vibe throughout the song. It builds up well with every key change--it does get repetitive at times (especially with the choruses), but never boring. And while it shares a similar theme to Fur Alle, it doesn't come off as either derivative or charitys-single like.
(That said, I did grow to like Fur Alle eventually, but this one was more instantaneous.)
Personal ranking: 7th/22 Actual ranking: 2nd/22 in Brussels
#226: Charlotte Perrelli -- Hero (Sweden 2008)
“This is a story of love and compassion Only heroes can tell.”
The better Charlotte song, in my opinion. The song she won with, “Take Me to Your Heaven” is a complete vintage track, almost influenced by ABBA-nostalgia going on at the time. “Hero” , while still on the same schlager vein, modernizes the production a little bit, to the point I imagine it would be a good pop song of that era.
Alongside that, Hero has some compelling lyrics, one which could summarize the hero's journey in general. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody were to write a Eurovision jukebox musical, they would use this in some format.
That may be the case on why l like it better, but it could also be because it should’ve done better in the contest. The fact the jury wildcard saved Charlotte is a reason why they're around, but the fact there was a wildcard which kicked out the actual tenth placer (North Macedonia's Let Me Love You) could be totally flawed too.
Personal ranking: 6th/43 Actual ranking: =18th/25 (with France) in Belgrade
#225: Carlos Paião -- Playback (Portugal 1981)
“Podes não saber cantar nem sequer assobiar, Com certeza que não vais desafinar, Em play-back, em play-back, em play-back,”
“Maybe you don't know how to sing or even how to whistle But you won't sing out of tune for sure, In playback, in playback, in playback”
This is so modern and infectious it’s unbelievable. From the introduction to Carlos’ biting lyrics to the choreography, it makes one wonder why it got neglected in the voting. 1981 was a strong year, sure, but this song is definitely one of the best of that field.
Playback, as the title suggests, is about the pervasiveness of lip-synching in the music industry. One day, nobody will have to learn how to sing because the playback will save them. They can all focus on the performance without taking note of the song.
It's eerily relevant to Eurovision today, considering we don't use live music anymore and backing vocals can be mimed. I have mixed feelings about the latter, because one side argues it allows different genres of music to appear, but the other argues it reduces artistic credibility. I prefer having live vocals; if a delegation wants to use them on the track (e.g. looping), it should be on a case-by-case basis.
Maybe that's why it somehow made the ESC250 the last two years...
Personal ranking: 4th/20 Actual ranking: =18th/20 (with Turkey) in Dublin
#224: Emma -- La mia città (Italy 2014)
“E dimmi se c’è davvero una meta O dovrò correre per la felicità”
“And tell me if there really is a destination Or I have to run for happiness”
The black sheep of Italy’s post-comeback output, and coincidentally the only song completely chosen internally. That being said, La mia citta is still a good song, and for me it’s better than some of the fan-favorites out there.
Admittedly, I prefer the punchy verses to the chorus, with the latter reminding me of something out of P!nk's discography, but I revel on Emma’s energy and her letter to the city of Rome. We have struggles about the place we are from, but still try to sing its praises when we can!
The staging was a bit tacky at times, but I did like the aesthetics of it—particularly her laurel wreath. Her costume had a good concept also, but is also overdone it in terms of the bejeweled top.
(As for the Sanremo winner that year, Contravento, it feels like a bit of a grower. The clarinet intro really takes one in, but there has to be a whimsical, sweet staging to accompany the hopeful song. Had they done so, a left-side finish would've waited for them)
Personal ranking: 6th/37 Actual ranking: 21st/26 in Copenhagen
#223: Brigitta -- Open Your Heart (Iceland 2003)
“Everything you share with me Turns a little darkness into light And that is how we’re meant to be Truth will keep the light shining brighter”
Also known as, the woman who originally came from Husavik! The difference is that Birgitta was the lead singer of the group Irafar. Open Your Heart reminds me of songs that end up on DCOM (Disney Channel Original Movie) soundtracks—it can actually work in the end, but also in the beginning to introduce the characters and/or their circumstances. The random running order really helped it with being first, haha! Beyond that, it's an optimistic song, helped with the guitar influences which ground it in the era. Plus, the production and lyrics add to this feel, encouraging even the shiest to open up their feelings. Also, I like the flowery aesthetic that Birgitta has, from one in her hair to the larger one (which I think is real?) on her microphone. Personal ranking: 4th/26 Actual ranking: 8th/26 in Riga
#222: Tomas Ledlin -- Just nu! (Sweden 1980)
“Han vill dra iväg, kanske ner till Paris Och hitta äventyret på något vis Inte sitta här på stans konditori Och låta tankarna, bara fladdra förbi” “He wants to go away, perhaps down to Paris And find adventure somehow And not just sitting here at the local café Just letting the thoughts flutter by” The 1980s saw the genre New Wave come to vogue, and Just Nu was a valiant attempt on the genre, especially considering the direction Eurovision would go later. From the opening notes, I got the punkish notes from the instrumentation, and the lyrics definitely add to the feeling of being free from societal expectations, crying out "right now"! (which is funny, because I learned Romanian at one point and nu means no in the language. So I keep thinking it's "just no!" against conformity) Tomas also shows quite the attitude on stage--he just struts into the stage with a boyish charm and kickstarts the song. With his looks and usage of the microphone stand, he portrays this rebellious character well, though the orchestration could’ve been improved with the strings and flute. Personal ranking: 2nd/19 Actual ranking: 10th/19 in Den Haag
#221: Lea Sirk -- Hvala, ne! (Slovenia 2018)
“Moje ime je Lea in/Za vas imam nov lik!” “My name is Lea/ And I have a new character for you!”
I love the opening lines for this song—it immediately sets the tone and has a strong statement alongside it. She's Lea, and she won't let anything down on She asserts that she can’t be sold out, and has a great attitude to accompany the trap beat, which reminds me of a K-pop song for some reason. The staging fits the song to a T--though it didn't need any changes from the NF, haha. As for the fake break, I don't have any strong opinions on it, but it definitely kept up interest for the song. A nicer touch was the Portuguese line in the end. Either way, it was a surprise qualifier in its semi that year, and it was one surprise that I greatly welcomed. Hvala da!
Personal ranking: 8th/43 Actual ranking: 22nd/26 GF in Lisbon
*Your word for today*
FOUR KINDS OF POWER BACKING US UP.
_(Preamble to Weapons of our warefare and the amour of God series)_
One word that is very important in understanding and effecting spiritual warfare is the word POWER.
When we say power we mean many powerful things that if we can understand them we will always be victorious over the devil and all he represents.
When I lay hand on a person and they fall you can say that's the power of the Holy Ghost.
When I lay hands on the sick and they are miraculously healed, you also say that's the power of the Holy Spirit.
When I cast out a demon again you say that's the power of the Holy Ghost.
If I speak to someone whose child is about to sent to prison and say "Your son is not going to prison, he will be home tomorrow" and it happens, ... you say what? The power of God.
There are couples who had irreconcilable differences and when they come to have me bless their divorce (yes you heard me right) and I will simply tell them go back home, you're not divorcing and before the week ends they come back with tears of joy testifying how their marriage has been completely renewed, they attribute it to the power of God.
It takes power to tell you to come to church and listen to me for 2 hours and you do so.
I can go on and on but my point is there are many facets of power than we usually think.
A policemen/women has power not because of his/her physic but because of the authority given them by the state.
A president has power because of his/her office and so does the judge.
A fighter/boxer has power because of their physic and skill.
A soldier has power because of the authority given them by the state, and because of the ammunition they carry.
Having said the above lets talk about what we mean when we say THE POWER OF GOD.
I Will use the following Four Greek words that are seen all over scripture where the word power is used.
1. DUNAMIS POWER
- explosive power
The power of content
This is active power
This the power promised to come by the Holy Ghost.
"You shall have power (dunamis) when the Holy Spirit comes upon you......."
2. ISCHUAS POWER
- the powyer of efficience
This is creative power
Miracle working power
Ischuas means mighty, strength, force etc
3. EXOUSIA POWER
- excecutive power
Aurthority
Power of right
Dominion
When we heal the sick, cast out demons we do so by this power.
We rebuke, reprove, correct, teach, train, ordain and apoint other saints by this power delegated to us by Jesus.
4. KRATOS POWER
- power of invincibility
The power within
This is the power that works within us to automatically defend us and dispel every evil power.
In military terms I would liken this power to PATRIOTIC MISILES.
These are misiles that launch automatically when the radar detects enemy planes trespass their airspace.
The scripture "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" stands on this power.
When a weapon is formed against you the power of invincibility neutralises that weapon.
The scripture "You shall trample on poisonous snakes and scorpions.... you shall not in anyway be harmed" rests on the power of invincibility.
Jesus also said even if you drink poisonous/poisoned drinks it shall not by any means harm you.
The power of invincibility makes sure that happens.
Listen; Jesus never said you shall pray about it or scream about it!
He said it shall not harm you.
I believe sometimes you may not even know that you were poisoned.
I can imagine tge frustration, the stress, the confusion that you give the devil and his agents every day when such things happen.
Had it not been for this power YOU could have long been dead.
How I thank God for Jesus, because of Him, the power of invincibility works in me and for me.
Hallelujah!
Again What is Kratos power?
Ephesians 3:16
Be strengthened with power in the inward man
Vs 20 this power works in us
This is called the power of invincibility
To be invincible is to be immune to all possibility of defeat, failure, misfortune, or destruction and death
In war there are what are called patriotic missiles which automatically launches themselves to neutralize every enemy missile launched against the nation.
Thus a nation becomes invincible and immune to all enemy attacks.
This means though you haven't done anything to attack, fight back or defend yourself , you have successfully rendered the enemy powerless by the power of God working within you.
Your enemy is no longer a threat to you and all that is yours.
This is the power inherent in the word of God.
As you feed on the word of God this power fills you and you become invincible.
This is the Power that caused David to boost and say, ".... what shall man do to me..."
And in the New Testament we say "If God is on our side; who shall be against us?"
The amour of God in Ephesians 6:10
This is to make you invincible and immune to all enemy attack
The enemy sword can't penetrate the shield and breastplate
The arrows are quenched and extinguished
The mind games, propaganda are quarantined out of your mind.
The thorns, pricks, landmines can't hurt your feet.
Everything on you is secured by the belt of truth.
Your sword and lance are sharp and ready to destroy the enemy.
This means the enemy weapons are neutralized and rendereded powerless.
Isaiah 54:17 But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the lord;     their vindication will come from me. I, the lord, have spoken!
You are a great force on a heavenly mission and assignment
Jesus said you shall trample on snakes and scorpions, even if you drink poisonous drinks it shall not affect you
The snakes and scorpions are rendereded powerless by the power of God in you.
The poison is disciplined and tamed by the power of God in you.
You're immune to all poison!
Say hallelujah to that!
Paul was bitten by the most venomenous snake, the viper but because of this power he never felt the poison.
Acts of the Apostles 28:3 As Paul gathered an armful of sticks and was laying them on the fire, a poisonous snake, driven out by the heat, bit him on the hand.
4 The people of the island saw it hanging from his hand and said to each other, “A murderer, no doubt! Though he escaped the sea, justice will not permit him to live.”
5 But Paul shook off the snake into the fire and was unharmed.
6 The people waited for him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. But when they had waited a long time and saw that he wasn’t harmed, they changed their minds and decided he was a god.
This is the power that is in you!
The power of invincibility that works in you!
Be conscious of this power of God that works in you as you do spiritual warfare.
Yes the devil our enemy can fight and attack you at various levels using his demons, devils, witches, wizards, sorcerers and agents.
But your are anointed and empowered with power of invincibility.
When the enemy comes in, like a flood the lord raises a standard
Greater is the one who is in you than the one in the world.
1 John 4 4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won a victory over those people, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.
You're hid in Christ Jesus in heavenly places, at the right hand of the father, far above principalities ,rulers and dominions.
The same power that conquered the grave lives in you!
The same power that conquered principalities and dominions and triumphed over them on the cross lives in you!
You're more than a conqueror!
The power of invincibility protects you against all the backlashes of the enemy!
Be conscious that you're covered by the greatest power of all, the Holy Ghost power!
Oh glory to God, Hallelujah!
Much blessing
Battle with Sin.
I sometimes see people wondering “How can I better fight sin?”. I think part of it is trial and error. I will give out some methods that have helped me. I want you to feel free to add your own. It is a war so having good battle plans, sharing tactics and equipping ourselves is essential. It will sound a little cliche at first.
1. Knowledge and faith. The word of God is our sword, shield and amour.
Ephesians 6:11-20 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
2. Prayer.
Just going to repeat a part from Ephesians.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Matthew 26:40-41 And he came to the disciples and found them sleeping. And he said to Peter, “So, could you not watch with me one hour?Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
This verse really hits home. It makes me think we are like in the trenches watching for when to detonate the explosives (by praying to God our secret weapon). We must actively be watching for when we sense the devil is trying to tempt us. Then when we sense it we begin praying.
I sometimes go like “God, do you copy? I got him in my sight, he’s here alright, surrounding me from all corners”. God is like “Surrounding you say? Wonderful now we can fire from in any direction!”. I made a bit of a joke there xD
Tumblr media
3. Resist the devil.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the LORD thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
I tend to be like “Get back, get back, you don’t know me like that! You don’t know what I really want. I want God”. Lol sorry my brother kept saying this meme around the house xD
I find that the devil tends to tempt you less with sins once you’ve successfully overcome them a lot. He may come back now and then to test the waters.
Tumblr media
4. Know how the devil tends to attack and that we are NOT very strong. The devil is literally just plotting, scheming and hating you. It’s kind of waste of life because you would think he could find better things to do than pick on us. It turns out this is the best way he thought he might use the time he has left.
The devil tends to attack me with questions as he did Eve. I am not sure if he does the same with you or not. I just want you to be warned this can be a method of temptation.
Avoid tempting circumstances in real life or in your own mind. You don’t “got this” and you aren’t “strong”. We got to see we really are not that strong because I’m pretty sure each of us has not gone a day without some kind of sin. I mean even if it’s not loving God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. I would recommend not even going on the border line of sin.
To get you in a circumstance that will lead to sin he may say:
“What if you only go so far and not further?” We know this is a spiral downfall.
“You are strong enough to stop at the right moment”. Nope, nope, don’t do it.
“Is this really a sin if you only go halfway?”. Very funny...
“Just take one bite of the fruit of good and evil”. Oh wait, that one was for Eve.
I think you get the picture.
Tumblr media
6. Remember the past.
This one has personally helped me overcome actual sins. I remember the way it felt after I sinned. I felt bad, I felt guilty, I felt lonely, I felt distant, I felt sad, I felt I spat on the savior and so on.
So when I am about to sin I tell myself “It is not worth it! It will just bring me down and break me into little pieces. I do not want to ever go back to that feeling! It is not worth it”. It did not do much at first I would say “I just want this so bad (It is essentially worth it)”. I then came to a point where I got so sick of feeling terrible I told myself “Yeah true it is not worth the pain that follows”.
7. Avoid fear.
I don’t know if it’s just me... I sometimes become afraid of sinning or worse afraid after sinning. I start freaking out in the morning when I wake like “What if I ruin the day with sin? What if I sin today?! What if it is the last straw?”.
Good news is we have an advocate who pleads our case and a mighty man in battle by our side we can always reach. The one who never sinned!
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
Psalm 24:8 Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.
Saying “do not fear” is all well and good... but how? I sometimes get so sick and tired of listening to the voice of fear and lies. “God will not forgive you”, “you crosses a line this time” sound familiar? I just get so angry at the devil and fear itself I say “I’m not letting go of God. I am going to hold on to him till my last breath. No one is taking him from my hands, no not the devil nor I even strong enough to take him away from me!”.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our LORD.
This comes down to not being passive in getting what you want. I will point back to the bible. Remember Jacob? He refused to ever stop wrestling with God until he blessed him. He gave him no rest! Remember the evil judge parable? The widow kept coming back. She gave him no rest! Remember that woman who came begging for help? At first Jesus even basically told her she is a dog. She did not give up arguing with him demanding that even dogs get crumbs. She gave him no rest because he was his only hope. All were willing to keep going to their last breath.
In verse 20 it says “And he said to her, ‘For this statement you may go your way; the demon has left your daughter’”. So the girl was not healed by waiting around her house hoping it be God’s will to heal her daughter. It happened because she pressed on with God.
One verse I like when thinking of prayer is Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
Do you get the point? Don’t you dare let go of God. When you have sinned and failed cling all that much harder to him! Cling as hard as you feel you need! I sometimes hug my pillow to represent symbolically the act of clinging to him spiritually.
GIVE GOD NO REST. Demand boldly that he gives you the blessing of his presence, the justice of his son and the trail of crumbs of his love. It is your right to demand in when you are in Christ.
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
8. Sin fighting playlist.
1. I won’t look back. 2. Here’s my heart. 3. Not today Satan. 4. Raise the dead.
5. Soldier. 6. Anchor (remix). 7. King. 8. Rise. 9. Move. 10. The resistance.
11. As it is in heaven. 12. Warrior . 13. Lion’s den. 14. Elevated.
15. Step down. 16. Out of the fire. 17. Saved my soul. 18. Death was arrested.
19. Light a fire. 20. Love fighter. 21. Battlefield. 22. More than conquerors.
 23. Anchor. 24. The battle belongs to the Lord.  25. Point of no return.
26. My allegiance. 27. I am here for you.
Tumblr media
God bless soldier. Keep up the good fight without giving up! Keep pressing on no matter how hard it may feel at times.
Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
1 John 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
So, what’s the “Slice of Life” genre anyway?
How bedazzled I was when approached by a man in the street inquiring about something I made. He was tall and skinny with patches of white stubble mixed with unkempt hair on his face. He had dreads, or at least I think they were dreads. Could of just been dirt. He knew me. He said, "In dis place I knows ya, som' bitch. You da one makin' subversive shit, not givin' da tributes to da important shit, at duh same motha fuckin' time not 'bout da gender or da black man," he cocked his head, "That's all good doe-- you got a smoke, nigga?” I didn’t. “Why da motha fuck you ain't make no motha fuckin' movie 'bout people like me n'shit? No one give a fuck 'bout da poor. Only them rich white motha fuckas, no offence, got da time ta worry 'bout dumb shit like LTRB or whateva da fuck dat shit 'bout gay stuff is, or da military and all dat, ya know? I seen them stickas on cars and whateva, I ain’t stupid..." I just nodded, and then after a moment, "Make a story 'bout a real motha fuckin' struggle, not some bullshit ya shit out fo no reason like a bullshittin' bullshitter, motha fucka. Fuck dat. Be real. Don't be a bitch. All these people today out here talkin’ ‘bout dis and dat, and me and dis bitch ova here, it don't make no sense. ‘Oh, I’mma-offended’ fuck you, ho! I can’t pay rent! That's the issue... so, be real. Fuck everything else, know what I’m sayin’?! Tired of it." A bit of his spittle landed on my shirt. I told him I will, I promise. And he grabbed his rusted, noisy grocery cart, that looked like some sort of mobile tent with a dirty blue tarp over it and squeeked off down the sidewalk. I don't know who he thought I was. But, it's always nice to meet a fan. He reminded me of some important things about filmmaking. I'm actually going... to... wait. The Slice of Life genre! I want to explain what the Slice of Life genre is and why it isn't made in America anymore. Some Americana films are slice of life, like Five Easy Pieces. Actually, I'm going to back up because I don't want to explain why they aren't in American cinema anymore, that's boring. I'd rather just tell you what the genre is in detail, how it qualifies, why it's important, and a small list of films that qualify in no particular order. I've already wasted more of your time than I want to.
How the story qualifies as Slice of Life: 1. The story must be what it was like to live (as that person) in that / this time or place. 2. Character must carry the plot, not vise versa. 3. Character drifting always occurs at some point (uncertainty). 4. Must be as realistic and true to the characters, elements, time and circumstances as possible. 5. Sentiment, no sentimentality. 6. Something to say / substance. 7. Can not be fictionally / fantastically creative about characters or places or behavior / auto-biographical (creative-fiction: the "what-if this happened" idea), without being true to the time-line in which events took place and the character(s)-- This contradicts being realistic in the portrayal of a character or a life lived (#1, #4), and the events taken place-- Examples: Trainspotting's plot leads its characters, and the events, although they may of happened, are dramatized in a way to achieve an affect from the audience rather than be realistic about the lives they each lead (or one person). The portrayal is dishonest in its execution even though the events may have actually happened. It's unbelievable because it's exaggerated for "affect" which slice of life cannot do-- It cannot exaggerate or intentionally fictionalize / fantasize / sensationalize unnaturally. Last Days, which is a fictionally creative account of the last moments of Kurt Cobain's life. Its very nature-- Basing its story off a real event but fictionalizing it with made up, fantastical events that are not supposed to be an honest portrayal-- Simply lead the story to exaggerated fiction about something which should be realistic, or true to its subject matter. But, in this case it's plotless and treading water*. Characters drift but there is no substance, and since it isn't trying to be realistic or accurate to the events. It is more like a day in the life creatively captured which is completely fantasized. Not trying to accurately portray anything as it happened falls under the "what-if this happened, or what if they did this" line of exaggerated fiction. Slice of life genre can only exist with those elements above. And there are only a few films which meet them all, however, there can be elements of slice of life within a non-strictly slice of life story. Borderline slice of life, which often have certain degrees of exaggerated happenstance. The Last Picture Show is a perfect example of a borderline slice of life story. Whereas the most minimal slice of life, like Passe ton bac D'abord or some of Pialat's films, are so minimal they're like still-life: capturing that time and place or era, to simply capture it before it's gone. Those types of stories stretch the genre so thin, they almost slip out completely and into documentary reenacted.
The perfect example of a slice of life film is by Kobayashi Masahiro, titled: Bashing Slice of life stories contain real substance: more than meets the eye and have something to say. They open and broaden your mind about how others may live in different places, and in different ways. And at the same time hopefully give you a little bit of culture in the process. They are the most important stories in cinema in my opinion, the hardest to make, and stand the test of time.
These films make you feel more emotions than just joy or excitement. They’re meant to make you think, and they’re meant to make you ponder, to move you. Unfortunately, for some people this translates into boring, sometimes code for: I don't get it.
Here are some other films I can think of which qualify:
What time is it there?
400 blows
Early summer
Alice in the cities
Late spring
Kings of the road
Comme une image
Band of Outsiders
Dare mo Shiranai
Code Inconnu
Anything by Kieslowski
Happiness
Storytelling
Uzak
Welcome to the dollhouse
Sharasôju
Zui Hao de Shi Guang
A Nos Amours
Kids
Easy Rider
A Woman Under the Influence
Pelle the Conqueror
Those are just a few. I have nothing to sum up this post, and I know it all sounds matter-of-factly, but that’s because it is. It’s the definition of the genre.
I’ll just end by saying if you haven’t yet, broaden your mind and try to step outside your comfort zone once in awhile when it comes to film. If you’re a filmmaker, it isn’t wise to have a limited history of film. You should watch everything you can get your hands on. You just might find something you love... motha fucka.
*Gus Sant’s own written and directed stories are synonymous for this type of formula: plotless to the point where the entire movie leads to one single event at the end (known as chewing shoe-leather). They’re cut in a way which is essentially coverage-backtracking: you cut to scenes before they occured, after you’ve seen the end of them already through another character, and then move onto it from another. Also, two straight guys always need to kiss for some reason.
I really need to read some of these classic monster stories, like Dracula and Frankenstein. Any others I should add to this list to hopefully find some day?
A Short List of Some Easily Found Classic Gothic Horror Stories That I Would Recommend:
Dracula by Bram Stoker
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, but make sure it’s the 1818 edition!  The 1831 edition is far more common, but it’s also worse in a lot of ways and a much more difficult read (and not in a “good” difficult way, or even an “interesting” difficult way).
The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
The Portrait of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde
The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gillman
Carmilla by Sheridan Le Fanu
Basically anything by Edgar Allen Poe, but especially “The Cask of Amontillado,” “The Masque of the Red Death,” “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Raven,” and “The Conqueror Worm”
Basically all Sherlock Holmes stories by Arthur Conan Doyle, but especially A Study in Scarlet and The Hound of The Baskervilles
The Invisible Man and The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells
Everything by Vernon Lee, but especially “Amour Dure”
“The Great God Pan” by Arthur Machen
“The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving (it hates teachers almost as much as Captain Underpants, and I know tumblr loves that, but it’s also a really good ghost story)
There are many others I could recommend, but they’re acquired tastes, so I’ll leave it here.
