#Big Ikea Leaf#I have one and I've assembled it and I am going to hang it in my ART ROOM tomorrow#I had to go buy a drill because we don't actually have one after all these years#how have I survived without a drill. beats me! I'm generally very handy but I guess I've gotten by on all nails instead of screws#or the occasional self-tapping screw#but this is going in drywall with the real solid drywall anchors. you know the metal butterfly toggle ones. 50lbs weight each#I just have to decide where exactly but I'm thinking over my chair#I cannot believe I have an ART ROOM and I don't even use it really? but also I kind of can believe it bc it's still not really set up#it's been out of sight out of mind and also the bup's urn has been in there so I kinda. didn't really go in much. :(#but we moved it and now I'm like damn me I gotta actually finish sorting all that out and get crankin' on some art in there.

sometimes you just gotta break out your own power tools and do something tangible and the world feels a tiny bit more manageable.
#okay power tool singular#i own one [1] cordless drill#but i just anchored two of our bookshelves to the walls yesterday and am angling to do another two today#this is part of the great horrible game of Rush Hour that is 'getting our apartment to the way we imagine it'#by we i mean i#since i have The Vision#i drew out the plans and my husband is on board 100% he just doesn't do that sort of visualising stuff ya see#but he's hauled boxes of books and horrible shelves from one room to the next for several hours already and we'll have to do it again#and i appreciate it so much#i finally have all the pieces to do ... almost all the shelves#i forgot one important piece that might require a field trip to our friends' basement#because one of the shelves will be sort-of-wall-mounted atop another shelf#and i don't want to overload the foundation shelf so i need to put reinforcing bars into the upper one#... and then drill THOSE into the wall.#and THEN i need to get some lumber and cut it down to size to set on the shelf arms i bought so we can have wall shelves#specifically in the gap forced by the air vent in the floor#don't wanna ruin household circulation#don't wanna lose precious wall space

Tension pile
Rock bolt

Nowadays, a High strength steel tendons are installed at an inclination to resist the applied tensile load efficiently.
Anchor should have enough capacity required to keep the movement of the structure and the ground mass are kept to tolerable levels.
Characteristics of Anchor Tendons
The tendon transmits the tensile force to the surrounding ground via the grout annulus.
The tie back is usually a high strength steel member surrounded by grout.
The tendon must be adequately protected against corrosion.
