okay i’ve done some more research and gotten further into the whole “de-extinction dire wolves” situation so i’m just gonna. list my thoughts. i have a lot of mixed feelings and the situation as a whole is rubbing me the wrong way, but i don’t want to ignore some of the legit positives. i’m just incredibly frustrated overall

i’ll stick it under a cut just so y’all don’t have to scroll through my rambling but feel free to read and share your own thoughts, i’d love to hear what others are thinking

first and foremost, these are not dire wolves and never will be. these are genetically modified gray wolves

that being said, the technology they used to make these GMO gray wolves is in fact incredibly cool and has some fantastic implications for conservation — IF it’s utilized correctly

my issue is with how this whole situation has been publicized and sensationalized. i do not like how the people involved are insisting these are dire wolves, these are what dire wolves would have looked like, all of that

because at the end of the day, we will NEVER know what dire wolves would have looked like, sounded like, even acted like. i mean, we’ve changed the appearance of the spinosaurus like five times in my life as our understanding changes. who’s to say these critters will be even remotely similar to how we think dire wolves looked 50 years from now?

another random bit i don’t like: the way their fur is colored. the ancient range of the dire wolf was not in snowy areas where white fur would be a benefit. most of our fossils are found in california and surrounding areas, which was a temperate area, even during the ice age. from an evolutionary standpoint, why on earth would dire wolves be white?? the only reason these dire wolves are white is because it makes them look like the creatures from game of thrones — which this company is absolutely capitalizing on for publicity

the choice to use gray wolves as the “base” for these gene edits. dire wolves and gray wolves aren’t even in the same GENUS. if they were alive today, they wouldn’t be able to interbreed. they look (or may have looked) similar because they are related (distantly) and due to convergent evolution. dire wolves are more closely related to jackals than gray wolves. why not start with their closest relative?

i dislike the idea of de-extinction in general. again, this technology is very cool and impressive, and having it around may be useful in the future for preserving the species we already have. but that’s the thing:

WHY NOT SPEND THIS MONEY ON CREATING THIS TECHNOLOGY FOR ANIMALS WE. ALREADY. HAVE

dire wolves are extinct!! they’ve been extinct for 10,000 years!! there are animals that are FAR more recently extinct or close to going extinct that this technology could have used. why didn’t they?

i find it largely unethical to bring an animal back from extinction (or whatever you want to say about these GMO wolves) when it doesn’t have a habitat or niche to return to. these wolves are going to live their entire lives in captivity. from what i’ve seen the area they’ll live is great and i’m sure they’ll be well looked after, but why go through this trouble to bring an animal back to a world where it no longer has a place? the 80 acre reserve these wolves will live on could have been put to use for native wildlife instead

and i just. UGH. it’s not a fucking dire wolf!!!! there needs to be SO many more gene changes to even get CLOSE to being a dire wolf, and these wolves have only FOURTEEN gene edits. FOURTEEN. that is barely a drop in the bucket when it comes to genes!!

now, onto the other part of this: the red wolves

let’s make it clear: this company did not clone red wolves. they made clones of what are referred to as “ghost wolves”, which are a specific population of coyotes that have high levels of red wolf DNA

the ghost wolves research project is something very dear to me, i could yap about it all day

a small comfort that i’ve found is that the researchers who discovered these ghost wolves are working with this company. one of them is on the advisory board. they’re listed as partners

and, if you do a bit of digging, you can find colossal’s game plan for preserving red wolves from these ghost wolves

the ghost wolves have very high levels of red wolf DNA, and have many genes not seen anywhere in red wolf populations today, both captive and reintroduced. having these genes is vitally important, as the red wolf population has an extreme genetic bottleneck — every red wolf alive today is descended from the same 14 ancestors. that’s not great for continued species survival

the company plans to utilize these ghost wolves to make an “insurance population”, after which they hope to use this new gene editing technology to isolate the red wolf genes from the coyote genes to bring these back into the population

this is actually really good work that seems viable. especially because this company has a mass amount of funds to do it

again, the technology truly is incredible. i don’t want to understate that. especially the technology they developed to clone the ghost wolves. they discovered a way to clone animals from a BLOOD SAMPLE. that has MASSIVE implications for conservation

but again, it all comes back to one question: why make dire wolves. why do this when the money and time and resources could go towards conserving the animals that actually need it

because the red wolf stuff has largely been misconstrued, if not swept under the rug completely. every single news article i read claimed they cloned red wolves, and it was only through colossal’s own website i was able to find the distinction between red wolves and ghost wolves

this just feels like a publicity stunt. maybe it is to raise money for the red wolves, but why not make the red wolves the center of attention? why continue to try and de-extinct more species? because that’s their goal. maybe it’s to drum up funds from billionaires because of the cool factor, but…

the way this has been publicized and spoken about, not just in the news but by the company and even the scientists themselves, rubs me the wrong way

the insistence that these are dire wolves. if that’s what you call a dire wolf, then what’s your version of a red wolf? is it actually going to be a red wolf, or will it just be a coyote that looks like a red wolf? the difference is important

i don’t like how these pups have been handed around for photographs. they aren’t dogs. they are wolves. you wouldn’t be allowed to handle a gray wolf like that, so why are they allowed to handle a gray wolf that has been genetically edited to be LARGER like that?

there’s also some issues regarding the research. their current paper on the creation of the dire wolves hasn’t been published yet. more may be revealed then. but as it happens, they’re also attempting to publish a study about how gray wolves and dire wolves actually ARE closely related. this study has not been peer reviewed yet, but it has been spoken about. i find it odd that they’re talking about this study, prior to it being peer reviewed, when the study contradicts the recent science (the paper saying dire wolves AREN’T closely related to gray wolves was published only in 2021) but affirms the choices they made for this project. hmm….

because by the time that study actually goes through peer review, everyone will have forgotten about this. so it won’t even matter if their study was wrong or right. the damage has already been done

also in the paper about the dire wolves’ creation, the author of game of thrones is going to be listed as an author. yeah, this definitely wasn’t about making a GMO pop culture wolf or anything…

in conclusion: the technology is awesome, i truly hope it’s used to help our current species. these are not dire wolves. the publicity surrounding this rubs me the wrong way. i will be watching all future endeavors from this company with a very skeptical glance

hi. today we’re talking about colossal biosciences and their announcement that they’re bringing back the dire wolf. this is me letting you know they are absolutely not. not really. not in any way that matters to conservation, science, or actual wolves.

they’re not reviving Aenocyon dirus. they’re making a Frankenstein predator out of modern canid DNA and slapping the name dire wolf on it because that gets headlines. that’s not resurrection. that’s branding.

let’s be very clear. the real dire wolf is extinct. gone for over 10,000 years. it wasn’t even a “true wolf.” it was a separate genus from gray wolves that split off over 5 million years ago. no dog or wolf shares enough DNA to revive it. it didn’t interbreed with wolves. it didn’t evolve with them. it was its own weird jacked cousin that couldn’t keep up with climate change or prey collapse.

colossal is taking fragments of ancient DNA, mixing them with modern wolf and possibly dog genes, and saying they’ll recreate a “proxy species” that will fill the same ecological niche. they’re not even pretending this is a full de-extinction. they’re making a vibe match and hoping people are too dazzled to ask questions.

this wouldn’t piss me off as much if they weren’t pretending it’s a conservation win. it’s not. the idea that we can engineer our way out of extinction is a massive distraction from the fact that we are still actively destroying the ecosystems we have. we don’t need designer wolves. we need to stop wiping out the species that already exist. we need to protect gray wolves and red wolves and Ethiopian wolves and the 1,000 other species losing habitat every day. and colossal is out here playing Jurassic Park with corporate funding while we can’t even get enough legislation passed to keep wolves from being shot out of helicopters in Montana.

but olivia you’re a plant person. what do you know about conservation. ok first of all thank you for that attack. second of all I wanted to be a zookeeper for years and only switched to range when I realized I’d have to fight ten other interns for the right to scoop tiger poop for $14 an hour. I still love predators. I still care about balance and biodiversity. I just spend more time with grass now.

anyway. colossal is not bringing back dire wolves. they’re making a genetically weird dog with a prehistoric aesthetic. and pretending that’s a win for nature is not just misleading. it’s dangerous. extinction is real. it’s permanent. and this kind of science-flavored fantasy makes people think we don’t have to worry about it anymore. like we’ll just 3D print a new animal later. like there’s a backup plan. there isn’t.

Meanwhile back to the Creepypasta Real World, Emperor Yellow had awaited for his brother Emperor Green that's finally arrived here, after Emperor Green had arrived, then his older brother Emperor Yellow had leading their armies to the other room, where they had once drinking in there.

At this now, Emperor Red Crimson and the others had lived in prison jail, while they've in safe room, and they all got chained by the sins that they have committed.

However, in the space, the fighting had continued, Astro Megazord ( vehicle mode) that's piloting by Jayden Shiba and his samurai rangers team, Tyler Navarro and his dino charge rangers team that had chased after the Deboth Armies, after they've left their enemies and escaped into the deep of the galaxy, back to the Creepypasta World at his castle in the living room, Emperor Red had decided to shown their soldiers when they've used their true form, because the truth is their dark knight acacius soldiers are truly the Ex-hybrids. And the Emperors of the Creepypasta ate their emperors.

Meanwhile, the Dino Charge rangers and the Samurai Rangers had chased after the Deboth Armies in the stars, they didn't know that they got been watching all time.

The heroes and the villains across the omniverse had watched the scene when the Astro Megazord had chased after the Deboth Armies.

Emperor Darkness had looked at the projector when he saw the Deboth Armies got chased by Dino Charge Rangers, but he didn't shock or anything just surprised.

A leader of the Lion Beastmens named Emperor Hercules, and his servant Mad Scientist Professor Hidefumi ( he's a young man, he has a buffed body that he can picked something up which is stronger than him. And he's mad scientist because he's obsessed with experimenting on everything that he had in his lab example he made a small frog that's turned into the giant frog that can devoured the rebels.)

Meanwhile, Emperor Greynmus Prime had hidden in the safe house of his, until he's tired at all of this, so he decided to teaching a lesson to the treacherous peoples on his world, Emperor Greynmus Prime is actually one of the Cybertronians, his full name is Emperor Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime.

After the Government didn't take action when the Rainbowlians and the Rainbowrions had invaded and destroyed many countless of cities, when Emperor Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime had decided to helping his people, but the Lion Beastmens had stopped him and called him " weak" because they've wanted Greynmus Prime, his families and his friends disappeared out of the existence. And then, they will ruled this world after Greynmus Prime and everyone that he known is dead.

Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime still pissed off about their betrayal to this day, when the time has come today, every cybertronians had awaited for long time, they've finally come out of hiding.

And the reason and the truth that these cybertronians got exiled because they didn't famous enough. Because these peoples on this planet loved Transformers bayverse so much, that make them didn't like the other incarnation of the characters that's appeared in each films.

When they loved Bayverse so much, that makes them making a lot of films about Transformers Bayverse saga, while Bayverse comics didn't getting much love from the people that who's only watched the films.

However, when the time passed, these peoples had started to disrespect to transformers franchise, because they didn't like G1, G2, Beast Wars, Car Robots, Unicron Trilogy, Transformers Prime, War for Cybertron Trilogy, Reboot movie saga, etc.

And they wanted these G1- Reboot movie saga disappeared forever, even they disrespect and complain the G1 character like Optimus Prime about he didn't getting serious, disrespect to the original character that makes the franchise famous to this day.

But now, only Bayverse films cybertronians still lived here. And even they had disrespect transformers other media, while they've laughed about making their own cybertronians into their robot fighters by using the death cybertronians that's got slaughtered by the haters of G1-, Reboot movie saga. This made him got abandoned from his castle, while the Lion Beastmens and his peoples lived in the city and all of them didn't bothered about the girl's love interested, before they played them easily.

Before it's started to getting worse, both Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime, and his younger twin brother Emperor of Destruction Galva Blackenus had started to come out of their hiding, and leading themselves back to their base, that no one will know, only cybertronians themselves knew where it is.

After they have arrived at the Alliance base, they're immediately getting inside it, to talking with their peoples, when they're getting inside, they had transformed from their vehicle mode into robot mode.

Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime is Optimus Prime that had the same coloured schemes like Bayverse Optimus Prime, but he's wearing War for Cybertron siege Optimus Prime, and he's the Supreme Commander and leader of Heroic Autobots. And, like every cybertronians across the multiverse these group of Cybertronians had evolved to survive from cosmic rust aka rust plague.

These group of cybertronians that's lived in this world, had their body that's looked like a human like the cybertronians who's lived in the Kings and the Queens universe.

But for those Bayverse transformers, that's lived on this planet, came from the Transformers universe called 'Bayverse', they've once lived in there, before they decided to expanded in the other universe like they wanted to be the main focus of the Transformers franchise than generation 1, and that's why they have come here to replacing the Cybertronians who's lived on this earth for long time. But in this universe already had the Bayverse Cybertronians, however the Bayverse transformers from Bayverse didn't care about the Bayverse Cybertronians, so they have replaced them as well.

Emperor of Destruction Galva Blackenus, is a galvatron who's transformed into the space ship like Superlink Galvatron, but he had the coloured schemes that's based from Galaxy force Master Galvatron. And he's the leader of Dark Decepticons.

The Leader of the Bayverse transformers from Bayverse are Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime, and he called himself the Successor of the Original Bayverse Optimus Prime, but Bayverse Optimus Prime of this world are one of the successor of the Original Generation one Optimus Prime, but Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime didn't care about G1 Convoy at all, because he thought he's the successor of the Bayverse Optimus Prime, it made him abusing and bullying the other successors of G1 Optimus Prime, and the other bots, and etc.

This made Bayverse Optimus Prime looking like ashamed about his doing so much, as his knight version of himself had abused the G1 Optimus Prime that he's succeeded the Title 'Optimus Prime the Kind and the Gentle leader of the Heroic Autobots.

At this time now, Bayverse Optimus Prime knew that he must teaching Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime a lesson about respecting the elder like G1 Optimus Prime, and Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime has decided to helping them to retake their beliefs that got stole from them so long ago.

Until he and his younger twin brother had yelled, " Heroic Autobots, transform and roll out." He said in strict toned voice of the Supreme Commander and Emperor, "Dark Decepticons, transform and rise up.", while his younger twin brother said in warlord tone.

Before all of them come out of hiding to dealt with Bayverse Transformers, and Bayverse Optimus Prime and his Autobots, his younger brother Bayverse Megatron, and his Decepticons had decided to joined them, before they left the area that they've hiding for so long together to the place where Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime lived.

While all of the Cybertronians of this world still running to the location where Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime lived, at KSI corporation, Joshua Joyce has seen in the projector that these cybertronians had come out od hiding, he's immediately told his team that," Send out, the Prototypes, to killing these cybertronians."

After Joshua had told his controller to sending out the Prototypes to dealing with the Cybertronians, when the Prototypes had getting the location where those cybertronians lived, they've transformed into their vehicle mode, and driving out of the building. And these prototypes got leading by Galvatron, and along with his sub-commander Stinger.

The Prototypes as KSI Sentry, KSI Boss, Two Headed Shockwave, Battletrap and Junkheap.

( Note: Age of Extinction Battletrap of Bayverse in my au, has the same body design like Bayverse Ironhide but he had a two blaster on his back and a slim body, while on his both hands had a small blade that he can pulled out all time, while he had the same altered mode as Bayverse Ironhide, but his head design is different because his head design had based on G1 Battletrap but on his helmet had a bird wings at his lateral side, however he had a crimson visor like Fall of Cybertron Soundwave, and he had a nose and mouth, while in his mouth had a shark teeth. His coloured had an orange, and cyan striped on his shoulder, his knees, his elbows , his neck, his fingers and his abs.)

After the long driving, the Prototypes had finally met the Cybertronians of this world, and leading by Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime, and his younger twin brother Emperor of Destruction Galva Blackenus, and his soldiers, then all of them had transformed into their robot mode,Bayverse Galvatron had immediately walked out from the KSI Sentry that's blocked the straight way of him.

Bayverse Galvatron is actually Age of Extinction Galvatron, but his coloured schemes was different from his coloured schemes from Age of Extinction film, because he changed it to matching his vehicle altered mode, and now he had the coloured schemes like Devil Gigatron.

When he walked out of the Prototypes that's blocked his way, he's said to Greynmus Prime that," Send Bayverse Optimus Prime to us. And we will let you live.", but Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime had pulled out his Ion Blaster from his back, and said," No, we will not send him to you, Bayverse Galvatron."

Bayverse Galvatron has looked at Greynmus Prime with a disappointing expression, and said " You asked for it by yourself, prime."

Shortly after, the Prototypes had started to attacking the Cybertronians of this world along with Bayverse Optimus Prime, but however the Cybertronians of this world are so stronger than the Cybertronians from Bayverse, and then four minutes later, the Prototypes had lost to them, the KSI Sentry and the KSI had laid on the ground after they got defeated and shot to death by the soldiers of Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime and Emperor of Destruction Galva Blackenus, suddenly the Two Headed Shockwave had collapsed on the ground after they got defeated as well.

Until the Cybertronians of this world had decided to leaving the area to getting to the place where the Beastmens lived to bringing back their justice. And then they've transformed into their vehicle mode and they've immediately driving off from the area afterwards.

Meanwhile Bayverse Galvatron had laid on the ground, but he decided to getting up and standing still on the ground that he got defeated, but he's falling on the ground again and laying there, however he decided to getting up again but he's extremely tired.

In the same time, he didn't lucky because he got injured at his right leg after he got shot by human in the area, however his older brother Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime had showed up along with his soldiers and his new brother.

" Galvatron, you're such a useless bot that I'm ever seen." Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime had said to his brother in arms with a disappointing tone voice, before he's pulled out his sword of judgement and stabbing on the back of Bayverse Galvatron killing him instantly.

Before he's pulled his sword out, and told his soldiers that," We will after them to the Beastmens white house, and then all of them had left the area, Bayverse Galvatron X ( the Leader of the Decepticons that's called himself a true younger brother of Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime) had transformed into his jet altered mode and flew into the sky.

At KSI facility, the Decepticons that's leading by Bayverse Galvatron had starting to transformed into their vehicle altered mode and driving, flying off from KSI facility to the location where their leader lived.

When they've arrived, they're immediately transformed into their robot mode, Bayverse Scourge and Bayverse Cyclonus had come here to rescuing their leader, until Bayverse Galvatron has risen up from the ground, and his body has changed as well.

His body has the similar design to his G1 Galvatron design but mixed with Animated Universe Megatron, and he had a jet cybertronians altered mode, while he had G1 Galvatron's head with shark teeth, on his back had an axe sword. On his right arm had an orange fusion cannon.

Bayverse Scourge had similar design to his G1 self but his coloured schemes are dark toned, and his nails are ruby coloured, Bayverse Cyclonus had his G1 design that's mixed with samurai armour, while on his back had two katanas.

Bayverse Battletrap had immediately risen up from the ground as well, before he followed his leader back to KSI facility that they used to hiding themselves from the public.

When they've arrived at KSI facility, and driving inside the facility for not letting the public known that they existed and hiding from them, inside the facility there's the big room where the Bayverse Decepticons that's leading by Bayverse Galvatron/ Bayverse Megatron of Bayverse had hidden and working with KSI here.

While Bayverse Galvatron has looked around the facility that's leading him to the room where his soldiers lived, the Constructicons as Scrapper, Bonecrusher, Mixmaster, Scavenger, Hook, and Long Haul that they have served him for so long, had started coming out that room, until he walked near the doorway and walked in it before the Constructicons, Bayverse Scourge, and Bayverse Cyclonus had followed him in.

And, these constructicons had the same design like their G1 design that's mixed with their G1 design and Bayverse version like Bumblebee movie design as Dream Star toys Constructicons but his fingers nails are very sharp like Bumblebee movie seeker soldiers.

Inside of this room, there's a lot of Bayverse Decepticons here, and they have five fingers and sharp claws like their g1 self, at the control panel, Bayverse Soundwave still working to communicated with the other bots outside of this facility.

Bayverse Soundwave has kind of headphones on his both arms like Dark of the Moon Soundwave, while he had his Bumblebee movie design that's mixed with Robot in disguise Soundwave, amd his altered mode are the military communication car, he had a sharp claws on his five fingers, and his head design based War for Cybertron siege Soundwave. On his right side of his shoulder has a missile cannon.

Along side him are Bayverse Shockwave, his design has based on Bumblebee movie Shockwave, but his coloured schemes has looked like Animated Universe Shockwave with a yellow eyes, and now he's pressing on the button to looking for Bayverse Optimus Prime in the projector. Because his leader wanted to helping Bayverse Optimus Prime fighting against his so called successor of his.

And along side Bayverse Shockwave are Bayverse Knockout, his design based on Prime Universe Knockout, and he's one of the doctor that's helping Bayverse Shockwave fixing the other cons in this KSI facility.

Bayverse Barricade, he had the same design as G1 Prowl but his altered mode based on his Last Knight Barricade, while he had the body design of Legends Scaled G1 Prowl, his head design has looked similar to a police helmet, and wearing a glasses like a red visor all day.

Back to the group of Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime, he's immediately looked around to seeing the danger income, before he's driving off again.

Bayverse Optimus Prime had the same body design as Classic Voyager Optimus Prime, but his head design has mixed from Bumblebee movie Voyager Class Optimus Prime with Armada Convoy , and his altered mode had looked the same as Bayverse Optimus Prime's altered mode. While he had Armada Convoy coloured schemes with a flame strip.

Bayverse Starscream still talking to his two younger brothers of his as Bayverse Skywarp, and Bayverse Thundercracker, and their design based on Flame toys Starscream, while Bayverse Starscream has the same head design from Bayverse that's mixed with his G1 head, Bayverse Skywarp, and Bayverse Thundercracker had the same body design like their older brother Bayverse Starscream, but their head design based on their head toy design than Bayverse Starscream head toy, and their coloured schemes had based their Bayverse toys.

Bayverse Stinger, his design based on Bumblebee Deluxe Class 2013, his head design had G1 Bumblebee head but he had a yellow visor and faceplate that's covered his nose and mouth, when he's speaking to other cons, his faceplate has moved up and down like he's speaking. And his coloured schemes based on Age of Extinction Stinger.

While the Decepticons looked at the projector for searching Bayverse Optimus Prime, meanwhile the other room had someone that got tied on the chair.

In the other room, has someone that got tied on the chair with scotch tape, and that person are Sam Witwicky. And he's wearing the Cemetery Wind uniform as one of the soldiers of this Evil Organization.

Sam looked extremely sad about what's happening at those years ago, as his betrayal to his friends Autobots, and the lost of his girlfriend Mikaela.

The story had began with, Autobots had come to Earth and the ending like Transformers 2007 film, but it changed when in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, because Sam didn't wanted to helping Bayverse Optimus Prime anymore, and he decided to focusing on his study at the University, but when Bayverse Optimus Prime got nearly killed by his own brother Bayverse Megatron, his Autobots like Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Jazz and more had came to rescuing him, his brother and his servant Starscream had running away.

Sam Witwicky didn't noticed when Optimus Prime had injured nearly his chest, but he's survived while they've back to N.E.S.t. base, Bayverse Ratchet had to fixing him along the way.

When they've arrived at N.E.S.T. base, Director Galloway has awaiting for them to bringing Sam Witwicky to them, but Bayverse Optimus Prime had refused, and Galloway himself had understood, so he decided to helping the Autobots to dealing the Fallen aka Megatronus Prine at Egypt.

And Sam, he didn't helping much at the Battle of Egypt, because he's focused on study.

But when it changed again in Transformers Dark of the Moon, he and his girlfriend Mikaela had gone on dating at the Cafe, Dylan had captured them both for telling the location of the Autobots for letting the Decepticons to destroying it, Sam tried to told Dylan for saving his life and his girlfriend but Mikaela refused to told him, and it came with consequences, Dylan had used her with pistol on her chest.

In the same time, the Autobots including Leadfoot, Roadbuster, Topspin, Arcee, Chromia, and Ironhide that's leading by Bayverse Optimus Prime had come to rescuing their / his best friend Sam Witwicky but when they've getting inside the room where Sam lived, all of them had looked at Sam with shocking face like' Is Mikaela dead?', and Sam turned back to looking what's behind his back, and showed Mikaela's lifeless body to the Autobots.

And the arguments had come when Bayverse Optimus Prime walked inside that room, Sam started to blaming him for not coming in time, but he told Sam that he's tried nearly came in time to saving them both, but Sam didn't care about them anymore, so he's cut tied with them in a few hours later.

And Sam Witwicky wanted to avenged all cybertronians to taking his girlfriend away from him, with that rage he decided to joined the Cemetery Wind that's leading by Harold Attinger and James Savoy.

When Age of Extinction film event had been began, the Cemetery Wind had used Sam Witwicky the new member of their evil organization as the bait for luring the Heroic Autobots out of their hiding.

In next day, the hunt has begun, when the time had come, Sam Witwicky had to go out, to find their hiding place, for luring out some Autobots from their hiding place, and he tried so hard to lived that bot out, and the one who got lured out of his own hiding by his old friend Sam Witwicky, are Bayverse Leadfoot, his design had mixed between G2 Leadfoot and Dark of the Moon Leadfoot and his coloured schemes are his G2 colour.

When Leadfoot had come out of hiding and saw Sam, then he said," Oh, Long time no see,kid.", he said with a smiling expression but he didn't noticed that there's something wrong here.

But before he's known it, until he got hitting by a sniper bullet that come from far away of the road, Bayverse Lockdown has shown up from his hiding spot, his design based on Age of Extinction Lockdown in the film, but his coloured schemes based on his Revenge of the Fallen Lockdown's coloured schemes instead.

When Leadfoot saw Lockdown, he's shocked like how did he here, and who's he working with, but before he's found those answer, he looked back at Sam, the kid that they've once trusted are now betrayed them.

Leadfoot immediately said to him with sad expression that," Why? Sam. Why?? Why did you do this to us?", Sam Witwicky has looked at Leadfoot with rage expression, and said" I wanted you guys to gone forever."

Before Leadfoot himself could saying anything, Lockdown had walked up to him, and pulled his spark out of his chest, he felt in pain when someone pulled out his spark, some time later Leadfoot had laying dead on the road, his eyes had shaded out some time ago, and the Cemetery Wind had left that area to find the other Autobots.

However the Autobots knew about Leadfoot's death, Optimus Prime had looking sad when he heard that Sam has betrayed them and joined with the Cemetery Wind after their operation with the military known as the N.E.S.T. was put to end as the Alliance, the Humans had started their new by taking some pieces of their ships to rebuild the new robots to serving them and making new technology by using their fallen comrades parts.

This made triggered Bayverse Optimus Prime a lot but he knew that he couldn't helping anything against this new rule of earth, however he didn't want some of friends not to getting captured by the Cemetery Wind.

In the same time, Bayverse Ratchet were next target of this evil organization, and they used Sam as bait again to luring him out if his hiding spot, when Ratchet has seen Sam, he's immediately pointed his blaster at him like he's afraid of him. But before he could react the other side of left and right, Lockdown had shot with a sniper bullet again from the lake that he's hidden.

Before he's walking out of the lake, and approaching Ratchet and asking," Where is Optimus Prime?!", Ratchet didn't responded but he said this to him," What did the bounty Hunter known as the Mercenaries like you doing here", Lockdown didn't responded back to Ratchet about his question that he asked him.

But Bayverse Lockdown has transformed his left hand to weapon for pulling his spark out, when he finished pulling Ratchet's spark out of his chest, he left the scene and left the KSI truck to doing their job, the Cemetery Wind had left the area as well after their job had ended today.

In Texas, Bayverse Optimus Prime had met with Cade Yeager and his family like Lucas Yeager, and Tessa Yeager (she's 20 years old and her boyfriend Shane as 23 years old), Cade met Optimus when he transformed back to his robot node after he arrived at his house in the evening at 9PM.

He was injured around his body, but Cade had helped him by fixing his wounds, Optimus Prime had thank Cade for saving his life, for Cadr himself, it's okay to saving the bot who's once saved the world before.

When the time had passed after Bayverse Optimus Prime didn't no wounds anymore, Cadr had become his friend and so his family becomes his friend as well.

Bayverse Optimus Prime has to staying at Cade's house for a five day, until the sixth day come, he told Cade that he will left them for looking his Autobots soldiers that got scattered around of each countries.

Before he left, Cade told him that," Good luck, Optimus." , Bayverse Optimus Prime nodded, while he's walking out of Cade's house, he noticed something strange today like someone had watched them from far away.

Bayverse Optimus Prime had immediately walked back to Cade's house to checking on them that they're okay or not, when he arrived,and saw Cade and his family still okay, he's really not worried much because he saw that Cade and his family is saved.

Until, he heard someone walked out from branches behind him, and it's revealed to be Sam Witwicky, the man that Bayverse Optimus Prime once trusted,but now he betrayed him and joined the Cemetery Wind to getting rid of his kind.

Cade, his daughter Tessa and his brother Lucas had immediately walked out of their house to having a conservation with Bayverse Optimus Prime like what's going on, when Cade and his family had looked at the way Optimus had looked, they saw Sam Witwicky walked put of the branches, before he's pointed his pistol at Cade.

But for you, you are just the replacement of mind."

Before he's pulled out his brave saber, and continued the fight, left the lifeless body of Bayverse Knight Optimus Prime laying on the ground, in the same time the Cemetery Wind had joined the battlefield along with Lockdown, however Bayverse Galvatron X ( he had the same design body like Last Knight Megatron but he had Age of Extinction Galvatron's head and his coloured schemes based on Cyberverse Megatron X) has decided to attacking Bayverse Optimus Prime to avenging his older brother, but he didn't so luck to do it because Bayverse Galvatron ( a younger twin brother of Bayverse Optimus Prime) had used his Destructive axe sword to stabbing on his chest, before he used his fusion cannon to blasted his head off.

Meanwhile the Autobots and the Decepticons of Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime and Emperor of the Destruction Galva Blackenus had focusing on the fighting with Bayverse Decepticons from Bayverse, at this time now the Autobots and the Decepticons had walked near the tower of Lion Beastmens.

When Emperor President Hercules Prime saw Bayverse Optimus Prime, he walked from the viewing on the building, and entering the elevator,to go down at the battlefield to fighting against Bayverse Optimus Prime and the others.

After he's finally at the first floor, he's immediately walked out of the elevator to fighting against Bayverse Optimus Prime, when he walked out from the front door, it's showing that he's one of the transformers as well.

Emperor President Hercules Prime is Bayverse Nemesis Prime, and he had the same body design like Bayverse Optimus Prime but his coloured schemes based on Armada Nemesis Prime, however he had a dark red flame striped around his body like Bayverse Optimus Prime.

When both Bayverse Optimus Prime and Bayverse Nemesis Prime had met eachother, they both had raised their sword in the air before charging at eachother, however when their sword had clashing, it's making them pushing forward and back forwards.

Until Bayverse Optimus Prime had striking down at Bayverse Nemesis Prime with one slash, he's defeated now.

The Lion Beastmens is now defeated, Emperor Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime and the others had raised their arm in the air like celebrating their victory, until Bayverse Nemesis Prime had revealed himself to the public, and showing that his true identity is Emperor President Hercules Prime, while he looked at Bayverse Optimus Prime, and he knew that Bayverse Optimus Prime is actually Dr. Mammon Convoy in disguise.

But not just the revealed of true identity of Bayverse Nemesis Prime, it's revealed that the Lion Beastmens is one of the Cybertronians as well, because they're one of the Beastmens Cybertronians, they're the Emperors and the Empress of the Beastmens Cybertronians.

When everyone knew it, they're in shocking like how the Beastmens Cybertronians as the Lion Beastmens had ruled over them for years but now it doesn't matter because the conflict was over.

Aftermath, the Cemetery Wind is exposed and putting on the end by the government, the Government have to thinking about the good and the bad like respect the hero, the Rainbowlians and the Rainbowrions are terminated by a nuclear that's landed on the island they lived, while the humans have to rethinking about the past of what they've mocking Dr. Mammon Convoy and the others.

Now at Somewhere else near Ground Bridge, President Hercules Prime and his father Grandmaster Grand Zeus Trion along side their people as Lion Beastmens, along side Dr. Mammon Convoy and his family are the Autobots and the Decepticons of Emperor Supreme Commander Greynmus Prime and his younger twin brother Emperor of Destruction Galva Blackenus, in front of Dr. Mammon Convoy are his wife Nursing Officer Aphrodite One, his younger twin brother Dark General Galva Beelzebub, and their soldiers/ friends.

The Ground Bridge that have opened, it's leading them all to Neo Earth, the Planet that's ruled by the Kings and the Queens, and now the Kings and the Queens had welcomed their former allies back to Neo Earth.

President Hercules Prime had smiling like he missed Dr. Mammon Convoy even after he's mistreat and mocking him however the karma had already teaching him a lesson so much, that it makes him missing his friend like Dr. Mammon Convoy.

Before all of the Cybertronians had walked on the Ground Bridge and returned to Neo Earth, after everyone had finally inside the portal, Dr. Mammon Convoy had saying goodbye to his human friend of this world, and he said to them that," See you guys around.", and then he left.

The humans on this world had started back to working normally on their job, however Mad Scientist Professor Hidefumi was arrested as the same day when the Island of the Rainbowlians and the Rainbowrions was destroyed, and now he was dead by poison in the food that he ate after he's tried to making a new species again, but this time he got sentences to death by the judge.

And, he's now already paying the price of his sin after he's making everyone into the Hybrid of Rainbowlians, but now he's dead because his experiment had turned on him and killed him when they got chance.

Lena’s heart skipped. They’d come here expecting mammoths, maybe saber-tooths. But this? This was older. Stranger.

So... I did some minecraft sketches recently...

oh my gosh, ok, so I’ve been going through @zubneo​ and @sm-baby​ ‘s Minecraft tags and absolutely loving their designs/redesigns/head-canons and since I’ve been playing Bedrock edition on the switch I have also felt the need to draw my cute sona and the various Villagers she’s taken under her wings. 

But for now I’m just exploring my own Villager aesthetic, so here’s some poorly photographed sketches of some notes

Details of some Villager professions! We have Grace the farmer and her hubby the quiet and stern Cartographer, and the Fletcher (male) being courted by the Blacksmith (female). She luvs her smol feathered boi :3 Also cat.

Details 2 is some notes on the Player - who I kinda headcanon as being one of the last of an ancient and very powerful peoples known to the Villagers as “Builders” creative I know. Though they are ever-so-slightly shorter than Villagers in-game, I think with the variety of player “skins” (pheno/genotypes), their height would vary as well, keeping within .25+/- of 2 blocks. Maybe the ancient Builders also “built” some new DNA and that’s why all the Players look so weird... Also pupper who is big.

Details 3 are some notes on the “Nitwit” villagers who I think would have higher standing in the Village than just comedic relief, even if that is necessary in such a bleak world... No, I like to think they also work as general care-takers, watching the children while the adults work or acting as scouts for danger - (which explains why they sometimes stay out at night) - or as diplomats between Villages - hence why they seem to wander farther than their “professional” counterparts.

And Detail 4 are some extra character specific notes of some Villagers that I wanted to include :3

Here we have the village Cleric, a pale/ashen-toned man who is very serious about his job as Healer and initially distrusts the Player when they arrive, beaten and bruised, but is also the first to help when she beats back a group of zombies that night. He’s completely bald (no eyebrows) from practicing alchemy, and his ears have grown weird - after all, he had normal ears when he arrived right? You don’t remember either, huh? Weird... Also pictured is a weak Phantom, creatures that are not normally seen because they fly through the Between, a space between living and death, the waking and sleeping worlds... But Cleric sees them all the time because he’s constantly tired from insomnia, poor guy.

To the right is the Librarian, a kind soul that likes playing with redstone in their spare time because of the way it glitters and sifts through their fingers. They have some subtle magic that allows things they craft and touch to be faintly “enchanted” when left behind, even normal lanterns seem to glow brighter around them, or maybe that’s just their shining personality~. Like most Librarians however, they do know how to actively copy enchantments from the old tomes to current notebooks and happily trade them for more shiny red dust. As a final note about them, they know more than they say, hinting at things that have yet to happen, or maybe have in a different time... Or maybe they’re just daydreaming.

And finally at the bottom is the local Shepherd, a sweet guy, if a little absent-minded. He’s got a huge crush on the Librarian but can’t for the life of him confront them about it because of his stumbling stutter. He’s quite good with animals though, and surprisingly brave, having chased off a wolf pack from his herd... with the help of a golem anyways. He doesn’t have any dark secrets, just a happy love-struck boy that takes care of the Village’s flock.

Wow so uhhh... that’s more than I expected o.o hope ya’ll enjoyed that rambling, I’m going to go practice for my finals of the quarter. Take Care~ <3

Wolf-Eared Guardian

Humans have relied on the Traveler for a long time, centuries even. It brought about a new Golden Age where we lived longer, traveled through space, and had excellent credit scores.

Naturally, that all comes crashing down.

Think about it, a giant goddess orb comes along and launches humanity to be the best they can be like overnight, comparatively. All world problems are solved... for the most part. The human race is thriving, and they thrive for a long time. And then all of that is all suddenly, violently, taken away. Survivors are forced to huddle in tiny enclaves as their world literally collapses all around them. Then the alien invasions begin: first the Fallen arrive, then the Cabal, then the fucking HIVE. Okay, looks like dead humans are resurrected by the Traveler to serve as heroes of humanity, yay... oh, wait, no, turns out these first Guardians are fucking assholes and become the Warlords who inflict even more chaos and destruction.

Desperate times. Very desperate times.

Which call for desperate measures.

So the surviving scientists huddle together in their secret scientific meetings. They can’t rely on the Traveler anymore. There are still many sentiments that relying on the Traveler was a mistake in the first place. And they can’t rely on the next risen human to not be an epic asshole, too. They have to do what they can with the humans who are living right now and keep them alive. Give the Lightless a chance to fend for themselves and survive, or die, on their own terms.

Here’s the thing about desperation. It’s thinking on panic-mode and panic is very, very shortsighted.

Recombinant DNA (or whatever inserting genes from one organism to another is called... DNA magic I guess) is not a new science. It goes all the back to pre-Golden Age, actually, when all the weebs evolved into geneticists or microbiologists or whathaveyou so they can finally bring catgirls into existence. And now, centuries later after a period of technological miracles that jumped our civilization forward by millennia, humanity has the sophisticated technology to make DNA magic much more plausible and less harmful to the subject. 

But so much damage has been done to these labs, and some of them are even located all the way the fuck over on other planets, and well, not a lot of ships available during the Dark Age. Not to mention Clovis Bray kinda hoarded all the best stuff for himself, jerkface. Access to this technology these days is difficult, and many parts have to be replaced with inferior ancient technology, or even alien technology stolen from the Fallen because it looks correct, because that’s all they have. There is no time for adequate testing. Subjects range from babies to adults. Some are volunteers. Some are voluntold. All for the good of human survival.

The purpose of DNA magic is to basically force humanity to a more evolved form because we don’t have time to sit around and wait for Nature to do it the ol’ fashioned way. They insert genes of various animals for desirable traits into human DNA: Enhanced speed and strength. Keener, sharper senses. Night vision! like we were meant to have but then cars were invented. Apex predators like wolves and big cats are the most common. Reptiles are also used. Even certain herbivores like red deer, bovine, rabbits. Eagles, owls, and corvids because why not give humans the power of flight? Some go full on chimera with several DNA strands from different species merged together because we’ve never seen this story before and it will definitely not end in absolute pain.

Some scientists don’t even stop with animals. Some of them try to experiment with the DNA of their enemies. Eliksni, Cabal, Hive. Why not go all way pushing against human limitations?

Remember when I said operating on panic-mode is an extremely short-sighted way to operate?

Yeah, so, many subjects die, actually, the very humans they were trying to keep alive in the first place. Most who survive become monsters who destroy their cages and the scientists and escape into the wild where Nature takes care of the rest. Very, very few actually fulfill those naive expectations that created them in the first place, and even then there are still problems. Eventually, during a later period of the Dark Age, the Iron Lords shut down the facilities, rescue the human subjects who haven’t succumbed to the experiments just yet, and mercy kill any who had.

Those are the stories, anyway. Maybe the reality is still much different. 

Some of those labs still exist to this day. Some of them have even relocated to other planets. Because there are many who still don’t want to rely on the Traveler or the Guardians for their survival. There are many Lightless determined to prove their own worth.

Desperate times.

Vampy Musings...

Ok, so everyone here knows that vampires cannot see their reflections in the mirror, right? It almost always comes up, from time to time, in passing posts and conversations to some degree or another. Have you ever asked yourself why? 

To most nocturnal historians and writers, it’s just another plot device to further the mystique of Homo Sanguineous. That otherworldly affectation to delineate between the mortal realm and that of the other. Yet, to those who understand the mythos of vampires, the answer is almost blindingly clear. 

Wether or not you follow the mythos of Shelly, Rice, Masquerade, Cain, or one of hundreds of offshoots that craft the stories of the night, they almost always follow one common law amongst them. The curse of silver. 

where this affectation arose is somewhat hotly up for debate amongst most nocturnal scholars, with some posing the biblical curse of Cain, after he slew his brother, as the start of the silver troubles, while others state the suicide of Judas Iscariot and the 40 pieces of roman silver Dinari as the start of the curse when Gods wrath fell on the spirit of Judas after betraying his son. Still, there are those who posit the curse of silver starting with Vlad Tepes III (otherwise known as the Impaler, or the son of Dracul {the Dragon}) after his transfiguration into Homo Sanguineous, and the subsequent altercations between him and the Turkish armies invading his lands when the Turks discovered that the huge amounts of silver they used to collect and bribe their way into the courts of early Europe had negative physical effects on the young ruler as he waged a personal vendetta against the Turks for a brief period of time, but other scholars just argue this is a fallout one shot of the curse of either Cain or Iscariot and falls squarely under biblical prevue and none other. Either way you choose to fall on the scholarly divide, silver metal is basic poison to the cursed, and can physically destroy the substance of the undead with a touch. 

Lets look at the group of primary noble metals for a moment. First there is copper (Cu), followed by Silver (Ag), then Gold (Au), and lastly Platinum (Pt). They are called noble metals either due to their high resistance to acid and corrosion, or due to their preciousness and use in economic endeavors. Out of the four, copper is the only one that corrodes fastest at relative humidity, but because it has multiple uses beyond the economic that it is included in the noble metal group. Out of the four, only silver is readily absorbed by the human body without ill effects and often works with the body, destroying wandering pathogens and microorganisms living within the human host, over that of the other metals. 

There is the most curious coincident between the use of silver and the human body in antiquity. those who used silver regularly (plates, cups, utensils, ect.) often would ingest trace amounts of silver with each meal enough, over a period of time, to where the iron hemoglobin that regularly resides in red blood cells would be replaced with Silver atoms turning the blood from red to blue. there was even a fashionable time in history (between the 16th and 17th centuries) where nobles actively sought out tinctures of silver to consume, believing it to be a cure all, with the added caveat of visibly changing the skin to a cosmetic pale whitish hue with slightly blue tinge about the eyes and lips (hence giving rise to the term bluebloods) as a form of societal distancing between them and the common people without access to those kinds of riches overall, out of all the noble metals, silver has been proven by science to be beneficial to the human body over that of the other metals. 

Now at this point in time of our little waffle, you are probably asking yourself “But what in the darkly nightshade hell does any of this have to do with vampires and mirrors?” at which time i shall endeavor to elucidate the reasons, forthwith, to hopefully satisfactory results.

Mirrors, at least the best quality ones, are made with silver vapor. a microscopically thin veneer of silver metal affixed to a glass substrate. that is a mirror. Of course, in this day and age, mirrors are more commonly being manufactured with aluminum backing instead of silver, due to it’s affordability and ease of acquisition and manufacture over that of a traditionally silver metal  backed ones...but i digress.

In vampire lore, the sanguine curse is nothing more than a biological pathogen that infects the host, ceases all of what we consider to be life functions, and replaces it with a reanimated simulacrum of life. the cognitive function is still there, but the body no longer requires the engine of life to function, relying on the consumption of blood for the pathogen to consume, and continue propagating within the host. and so forth and so on. Basic vampire biology 101. you get the drift. (on a side note, the argument could be made that both lycanthropy and zombie infections are just offshoots of the same parasitical class of pathogen that gave rise to vampires. the only differences between the three falls to base pair genetic bonding as the pathogen absorbed RNA/DNA from another source prior to transferring to human hosts. Zombies are just failed vampires/werewolves, as the pathogen was unable to absorb the extant DNA (wolf, bat, rat, snake, ect.) nor evolve beyond the infectious state, and the need to viral spread overcame the parasitic needs of the pathogen. but that’s an argument for a different time.) 

Silver, is the anthesis of vampires. It burns on contact, because silver atoms violently destroy the biological foundation of what makes a vamp tick to the point of spontaneous combustion in extreme cases, all the way up to body melt as cellular cohesion falls apart faster than the nocturnal lifeform can reform and repair from the exposure. the power of silver over Homo sanguineous is to such an extent, that the very image of someone infected by vampirism is absorbed by the silver content of a mirror, and not reflected back to the observer. This is the power of silver over the sanguine. To a vampires field of vision, silver glows bright. bright enough to see by in a dark room, which is why certain images and stories of vampire lore oft have a stuffy old mansion or decrepit castle with mirrors lining the walls. The vampire equivalent of night lights in a pitch black room...and now you know.

the thing almost no one ever answers, or have yet to show, is what happens when a vampire is reflected on a surface not containing silver. In theory, a bronze, or copper, or gold mirror should show the reflected image of a vampire as easily as a silver mirror would do for everyone else. I feel this should be remedied in film or television, as a vast majority of mirrors being made in this day and age are based on an aluminum backing, over that of silver, and every vamp on the planet should be able to see him/herself readily and easily. to not be able to do so, either implies laziness on the part of the writers, or some hitherto unknown biological cloaking field produced by the pathogen itself, that does not allow itself to be reflected on silver based surfaces. I find it strange, after all this time, that a vampire has never stopped to take a look at their reflection in a pond at night, or actively sought out a mirror that doesn’t contain silver so they can make sure their foppish cravat is suitably straightened in an appealing configuration, or that their ancient garments are acceptable to the public at large and not threadbare, moth eaten, tattered, or torn. 

but yeah, silver is a biological counteragent to the pathogen that causes vampirism, and because of that reaction, the image of someone infected by it is burned away faster than the human(or inhuman) eye can see.

Halloween’s here! As per past tradition, here’s another round of fic recs! The theme is still horror/supernatural/apocalyptic-oriented (because that’s my jam~).

1.  小蘑菇 (Little mushroom)

Author: 一十四洲 (Xiao Shi Si Zhou)

Future, apocalypse, sci-fi

Summary:

He who brings Judgement is judged...by none other than a small mushroom. 

An Zhe was a simple mushroom and his only goal in life was to ensure the survival of his spore. One day, he lost his spore. He searched high and far, even risking his life to infiltrate a human base where he suspected the spore was taken to. The problem was that the human base was guarded by the Judge, a human with an inexplicably acute sense of distinguishing infected mutants from normal human. 

Too bad that he could only distinguish animal and plant-based mutants, and An Zhe was a fungi, eh?

Comments: 

Set in the future where Earth had finally lost its magnetic fields, inducing changes far beyond what anyone might anticipate. I particularly liked the world-building, from creating mannequins to commemorate the dead as a job, to the different ways they detect mutants, or the facilities that humans built to counter incoming attacks. Definitely worth a read!

Summary:

2019, the year when the Pandora Virus raged across the globe. Infrastructures  were destroyed, basic services halted, nuclear plants experienced meltdown, and cities were sunken into despair. In a place without God, humanity's hope rests in the hands of a few. 

Unit 118 was responsible for bringing back the antidote, in the form of an omega who had developed resistance to the Pandora Virus. The problem was that the omega wasn’t entirely cooperative. Also, he was more-than-capable of taking down zombies and alphas alike.

Comments:

This is an ABO x zombie fic, so if you like both settings and appreciate a power couple, you’re gonna enjoy this!

Summary: 

During a stakeout, Shen La and crew were tricked into a cave filled with the Undead. In the course of escaping, he reopened his Heaven’s Eye that enabled him to see ghosts and other paranormal beings. As a result, he was approached and recruited by the ‘census bureau’, a secret government agency tasked with dealing with paranormal activities.

Comment:

If you like Daomu, you’re going to enjoy this novel because the writing style, characterization etc. are heavily inspired from Daomu. The entire novel consisted of short stories where the main cast deals with different paranormal events. It is situated within a larger universe, including prequels and sequels such as 勉传、暗夜将至、绝处逢生、民调局异闻录后传. I’m currently reading 勉传 , but it’s nowhere as exciting and entertaining as the main book lol.

4.  寒武再临 (The return of Cambrian Period)

Summary:

A sudden earthquake caused the rapid evolution of all living things on earth. Suddenly humankind found itself no longer at the top of the food chain and their hope rests in the hands of those who evolved special features to protect them. 

Chong Xia came by an old jade holding the secrets to advancing others’ evolution, possibly giving humankind a second chance at survival. 

Comments:

Another apocalypse fic with very expansive world-building. I really enjoyed the first part of the story - it’s refreshing to see a smart characters that make wise use of scientific knowledge. Somehow this dwindled later in the story, and Chong Xia became just any typical nice-hero, which was kinda disappointing but hey, the world-building more than makes up for it! Also, I heard that there is a new donghua coming out based on this.

Summary:

The 28th test: failure. Once again Yu ShaoQing correctly identified the AI in the virtual reality test, much to the frustrations of the AI’s creators. But what if...the AI was losing on purpose? 

"Is this reality?" Yu ShaoQing awoke again from the virtual world, but he was supposed to be dead.

Comments:

Interesting take on the Turing Test, which is a method of testing whether an AI is capable of thinking like a human. It’s a relatively short fic for a good read :)

Summary:

2017, the Solar Plan went askew, resulting in the reawakening of ancient species and the destruction of society. Majority of humankind fell into the bottom rung of the food chain. At the same time, the ancient DNAs resting within some humans were slowly coming back to life......

The killer ‘Red Eye’ and mercenary ‘Ghost Wolf’ were accidentally embroiled into part of the Solar Plan. Amidst the chaos, they paved a bloody pathway for humankind.

Comments:

If you like a power couple, this fic will be to your liking. It is fast-paced, with a lot of plot twists and interesting takes on power mutation/evolution.

Comments:

This is not a fiction but a 3D donghua that really deserves more views due to its engaging plot and high-quality production. Honestly I felt like people didn’t talk about it just because it’s not BL/GL, but I strongly recommend the donghua. It is available for free on Bilibili’s official youtube site.
