Ganon is Varian: he's kidnapped the Hyrulian King because fucker is a lil corrupt and has screwed over the Gerudo.

Link is the girl with black hair (plz don't yell at me I haven't actually watched the show I just know a couple songs because of Jeremy Jordan) : this where the au branching comes from. Link and Ganon are half brothers and Link was raised in Gerudo so Hyrule and most of the Champions don't trust him even though they have been close with the princess since they were children. He knows what his brother is doing is wrong and has tried to talk Ganon out of this qnd knock sense into him but Ganon is angry and grieving for other reasons and his magic is out of control qnd beginning to corrupt him.

So Link has had to join the other side so that he hopefully kind find away to HELP without killing his brother.

Zelda is Rapunzel: Link and Ganon are her two closest friends and are a part of her family, plus while she thinks what her father did was horrible she still loves him and wants to save him and her homeland. And is prepared to do whatever she has too.

The words "Zonai Ganondorf" entered my head and I haven't been sane since. Perhaps in the Zonai version of the legend, the warlord "Gannon" sought after the secret stones, and the incarnation of Hylia draconified herself to stop him alongside the Ancient Hero.

If I was to kick myself into redesigning my ancient link without a care for how annoying it would be consistently redraw the design I’d make this goof more skyward sword sheikah/ancient tech inspired. If he wasn’t a blacksmith/farmhand I’d probably have gone more over the top with clashing patterns and layered fabrics cuz that’s just link for u. Anyway the aesthetic is: practical clutter bich

I saw discourse so this is the reminder to the class that I think the lore would be 1000000x better if Hylia was a magnificent terrifying red bird god and Demise was a ghibli style angry boar god horror show and neither of them looked humanesque at all thank you

Scale of one to ten, how mad do you think Kohga is when, after he describes his/the Clan’s long, difficult work to figure out how to use Zonai tech, to collect charges, and to reconstruct a mighty ancient construct to gift to Lord Ganon, and after he debuts said amazing piece of engineering (which he’s even dressed up to show it’s special and his)*…

Link can just stand back and let his own mech, that he built in like two days tops and that is powered by a sage who barely knows him and is following him more or less blindly because he’s the Princess’s Chosen Hero…

I love that totk is hinting at Zelda games that like, have never been released. Like the ancient hero's aspect where Link(?) was a zonai, the eighth hero who wound up forgotten by the gerudo and the rest of hyrule in the present, who fought alongside seven gerudo women to defeat ganon(?)

The last Zonai Ganondorf pic I did was pretty well-received so I did some more :) Aka where I keep adding more jewelry and make my life harder.

Totk!Ganon is great and all but the scene in Twilight Princess where his Triforce of Power awakens and he breaks out of the chains is still one of the coolest moments he's ever had, so I drew that scene here haha

my ambitions for the score of thralls (full version of the project I'm not sure when I'll admit what this project is exactly but I guess I'll have to eventually) are getting frankly ridiculous, but!!! I'm planning to develop a library of themes for everyone, and *especially* ganondorf who gets a billion musical ideas developed throughout the series, which gives me sooo many opportunities to develop fun moments of character development with just the music :>>

Have we not considered that maybe more than one "Ganondorf" can exist at once in a timeline?

Maybe that can make BOTW/TOTK fit in a little more comfortably on the timeline while including their own weird time travel shit
