It's 3am. It's pouring down rain. Steve's soaked to the skin, been wandering the city for most of the night, hasn't slept in almost 24 hours, thinks maybe he's on the brink of delirium, and then a truck hits a pool of ponded water, sending a muddy wave cascading over him.
He just wants to go home but Dustin lost his dog and he can't leave a puppy out in this weather.
Steve steps off the curb, and what looks like a shallow puddle turns out to be a water-filled hole. He crashes towards the pavement, nothing he can do to stop it. As fast he's falling, he's miraculously not, arms wrapped around his waist. It takes a second for his brain to catch up, to understand that he's being held upright in an old-fashioned, romantic dip.
"Careful, sweetheart," a deep and smoke raspy voice says from above him.
it sends chills down his spine, the good kind, and warmth slips through him. His rescuer is a solid 10 knockout. Long, curly hair; eyeliner; decked out in leather and studs and chains. He smells like booze and cigarettes and weed, and it's intoxicating. Steve has to fight the instinct to nuzzle the guy's leather jacket. He's beautiful, holds Steve with the swagger only a guy with rings on every finger could pull off.
And Steve is a mud soaked mess in sweatpants and a threadbare Hawkins High tee. But the guy holding him isn't letting go. He stares down at Steve, brown eyes wide.
"Steve!" A voice calls over the patter of the rain.
"Dustin?" He says at the same time that the man holding him says, "Henderson?"
"Eddie?" Dustin asks.
"Wait, dnd Eddie?" Steve gets his feet under him, but Eddie's arms don't drop.
"You're the famous babysitter Steve I've been hearing all about?"
They gape at each other until Dustin reaches them.
"What are you still doing out here?" Dustin shouts. "We found Dart hours ago."
"Dustin!" He thinks he might cry. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"You weren't answering your walkie!"
"Fuck." Steve drops his face to his hand. The walkie. Which is on the table by the front door where he and Robin leave their keys.
Steve swallows his frustration, the misery of waterlogged shoes, having to be up to open the store in a few hours, meeting the hottest guy he's ever seen when he looks like a drowned rat.
"I promised I'd find Dart, didn't I? Now what the hell are you doing out so late?"
"Mom and I were looking for you!"
"Let's get you back to the car, man, okay?" Steve says to Dustin. He wants to end this weird, terrible, embarrassing night before it gets even more humiliating.
"I can give you a ride home," Eddie says. He's got this weird, intense look on his face, staring at Steve.
"I'm only a few blocks away. I'll be fine. C'mon, Henderson."
"Oh, I can walk him. You head home."
He nods, starts towards his apartment, but turns back just in time to see Eddie and Dustin share a look he can't parse.
---
A few days later, Dustin's following him around at work, chattering about dnd as Steve shelves books, and without taking a breath during a soliloquy about owl bears, says, "Eddie's running a one-shot for us next week. You should come! It's a great way to get into the game."
"I'm not playing dnd," Steve answers. He slides a book onto the shelf. "I've told you this."
"Yeah, but you liked Eddie, right? He'd help you out!"
Steve squints at the kid. "I didn't really meet Eddie to know. Anyway, I'm sure he doesn't want a newbie crashing."
Steve is pretty sure Eddie doesn't like him, based on their short introduction, so he's not interested in forcing himself into the guy's dnd club. The night they met was humiliating enough, Steve in all his dorky glory.
"No, he totally wouldn't care. C'mon, Steve!"
"No can do." He ruffles Dustin's hair as he walks away.
He thinks that'll be the end of it, but every few days, for weeks Dustin and all the rest of the kids stop at the store to beg him to join their dnd club.
---
Steve is working the register and he hears the shuffling clank of a customer, looks up and finds Eddie. He's staring at Steve with that same look from the night they met, intense and piercing, cutting straight through the heart of him. He feels himself start to blush.
The first thing out of Eddie's mouth is, "Wait, this is your store?"
"Yeah?" Steve asks. "Is that--is that weird?"
"No! Not at all. It's a good store. Cute." His nose wrinkles when he says it and Steve's blush grows hotter. He knew Eddie thought he was a dork.
"Cute. Yeah. Right. Can I help you with something?"
Eddie rocks back on his heels, hands going to the pockets of his leather jacket, sending his chains jingling. "Oh, so, actually I wanted to see if you were busy?"
"Yeah, man. I'm busy." He laughs, doesn't intend to be mean about it, but he and Robin only opened the store six months ago and both take night classes at the local community college. Plus, everything he does with the kids.
Eddie's face flushes bright. "Oh, sure, of course. Yeah, I--I'll see you around."
The door thunks to a close behind him, and a voice immediately pops up to ask, "What the hell was that?"
He turns to find Max Mayfield hands on hips, glaring up at him, Robin close behind.
"Shouldn't you be in school?"
Max rolls her eyes and strides up to the counter. "Why were you an asshole to Eddie?"
"He started it!"
"I highly doubt that."
"Okay, Ms. Know-it-all, why don't you tell me what happened?"
"I know for a fact that Eddie came in today to ask you out. So, tell me, Steve Harrington, why he rushed out of here looking like a kicked puppy?"
"What?" He yelps. "Eddie doesn't even like me!"
She glares. "Doesn't like you? He's been pathetic about you since you met."
He gapes at Robin. "Don't look at me," she shrugs. "But that guy was definitely here to ask you out."
"Fix it." Max commands as she stomps out the door. "He bar tends at that metal place on 68th."
---
It's just after 9pm and he's at the metal bar on 68th, decidedly out of place in the yellow t-shirt and jeans he wore to his business accounting class.
It's fairly busy for a weeknight, but Eddie's not hard to find. He's obviously in his element, bobbing his head to a song Steve's never heard as he mixes a drink.
With a hard swallow and a healthy dose of humility, he walks up to the bar.
"Be right--" Eddie starts, balking when he notices Steve.
"Can we talk?" he shouts over the music.
Eddie's eyes widen a little, but he nods, slips out from behind the bar to guide him to an employee exit.
"What's up, Steve?" Eddie asks. His hands are in his pockets, shoulders bowed in.
"I wanted to apologize."
"What for?"
"Earlier, I--when you said the store was cute I thought you were making fun of me."
"But--why?"
"I thought you didn't like me." Steve cringes at the admission.
"What?" He laughs.
"I don't know. We met in the middle of the night and I was covered in mud looking for a dog that wasn't lost anymore."
"Steve. Holy shit." Eddie shakes his head. "You looked gorgeous that night. The way your clothes were sticking--you know what? Never mind. Did you think I wanted you to come to dnd because I hated you?"
"You wanted me to come?"
"Dustin didn't..."
"No! And he's been asking me to play dnd weekly for the past five years."
"Jesus Christ," Eddie slumps agains the brick wall at his back. "No wonder you turned me down today."
"To be fair," Steve slumps next to him. "If I had realized you were asking me out, I wouldn't have turned you down."
"No?" Eddie asks. His brown eyes gleam.
"Definitely not. I've had a crush on you since that night. Sort of devastating since I thought you didn't like me." Steve runs his hand through his hair, watches Eddie track the movement.
"The store is cute, Steve. I--uh--I've been a few times. Back before I knew you were the owner! I just kept seeing a hot employee with great hair and a perfect ass, and the vaguely mean lesbian barista gives me free drinks."
"That's Robin," Steve says. He's smiling so hard.
"I know that now," Eddie smiles back. "Sorry for being an idiot."
"Me too." Steve nods. "Do you--could I still come to dnd? Or take you out sometime?"
"Why not both?" Dimples pop on Eddie's cheeks, and Steve's heart flips.
"I like both." They're still against the wall, but drifting into each other's space.
"So Dustin said."
It surprises a laugh out of Steve. "I'm gonna kill him."
"Too bad. He's a nice kid."
"Eh, we've got six more to choose from."
"I have a few more hours here, but there's a diner down the street that does some of the most mediocre pancakes I've ever tasted. Meet me there? Around 2?"
"A thousand lost puppies wouldn't make me miss it."
The next time Steve is out at 3am he's pressed against a building, Eddie kissing him so thoroughly he knows he's never recovering from this one.

My Darling
"Who even is that guy?"
"That's my darling"
----
It starts with a post.
Eddie had posted a photo on Instagram holding his acoustic guitar, cross legged on a chair.
Recently he had been front cover of a magazine of 'him' wrapped around a young woman. Living the Rockstar life.
His agent had suggested he show a more domestic side to him, a softer side.
Hence the acoustic.
It was summer so Steve was off of work and sleeping on the couch behind him, blankets up to his ears. The only thing visible was his hair peeking out and his arm hanging over the side of the couch. A sleeve of tattoos running down it all the way to his knuckles. Eddie loved that arm. He loved the way the tattoo curved around his knuckles like water. His nice, big. veiny hand that-
WOAH off topic.
He had done half the tattoos himself and made sure he payed for it all.It was the least he could do for all Steve has done for him.
They met eight and a half years ago, Steve had seen Eddie play at shitty clubs and recognized his mop of hair getting hit in the alleyway.
Eddie thought he was a goner for sure until Steve ripped the guy off him.
Steve just shot him a smile and complimented his guitar skills.
Eddie fell to his knees. He was gone for him.
He invited Steve to band practice as a thank you since he didn't have much to offer.
Two weeks later they were dating and Steve has been their number one fan since.
When Eddie got the record deal he dedicated everything to Steve.
Everything always was for him. As it should be.
Anyways,
Eddie posted the photo excited to promote the acoustic cover of his hit song 'My Hero, My Darling'.
The comments instantly went ballistic asking who the random man behind him was. He definitely wasn't in the band and why would notorious lady killer Eddie Munson have a man in his house...he couldn't possibly have friends.
Eddie responded to one comment only, knowing the rest would sort itself out.
"That's my darling ❤️"
----
"Eddie," Steve was frowning at him, poking his side with his foot.
"Eddie look at me this is serious."
"Yes my love?"
"You outed yourself. You were doing such a good job keeping this a secret. This will change everything."
Eddie turns over until his holding Steve close to him, his face in his hands.
"Good. I'm tired of hiding you my darling. I'm tired of the accusations."
"But Eddie you OUTED yourself."
"I won't say anything about you, I'd never out you Stevie. But I'm done hiding that I'm a simple man in love."
"...me too. I'm done too."
"Darling are you sure? This is a big deal. What about your school? Your principal?"
"I don't care. Everyone important to me knows. My family, my real family, know and don't care. They do wonder why I've been single for eight years but they'll get over it."
"Marry me."
"What?"
"Marry me oh my god that's the hottest thing I've ever heard. I love you so much please I can't live another moment not having you mine. Besides, if you get fired that's definitely a lawsuit and you know I've been pleasing for you to quit so I can take care of you, but you love those damn kids. Just...be mine...please."
"I've been yours. Since the start. Since always." They both have tears in their eyes.
"Yes?"
"YES OF COURSE YES!"
They're giggling through their kisses.
---
"Heeeeyyy everyone thanks for joining my live. I have something super important to inform you on! I'm getting married!!!!!"
The comments instantly flood in questioning him on moving too fast, asking if he's on drugs. The usual.
"Oooooh you guys have no idea."
----
The photo goes up an hour after the live ends.
It's Steve sitting on the couch, glasses on, red pen in his mouth. He's wearing a thick sweater and grumbling grading papers.
He looks so soft, so smooth, it's Eddie's favorite picture. The next picture in the carousel is Steve backstage at his concert. They're holding onto each other like they need each other to breathe.
The last picture is a selfie taken minutes after. Eddie with his stage makeup sweating off his face smiling brightly at the camera. and Steve kissing his cheek. Eyes squinted shut and eyeliner thick, he had worn it as a treat for Eddie.
It was well received.
The caption reads:
"I'm so happy to announce I'm marrying my best friend and partner of eight years! Everyone meet my darling. Steve is a local middle school teacher who has literally saved my life more than once. He saved my heart. God, I love him so much.
P.s. yes the tours are in the summer so Stevie can travel with us. I'd never leave him."
---
Bonus engagement edition:
"YOU'RE GETTING MARRIED TO EDDIE MUNSON?!"
"Yes. We've been over this."
Eddie stuck out his hand to shake, "hi, Eddie Munson, nice to meet you."
"YOU HID THIS FOR EIGHT YEARS?!"
"Yes."
"I'M BASICALLY YOUR BROTHER! HE'S MY FAVORITE CELEBRITY!"
"Yes Dustin and you can't keep a secret."
"...fair...welcome to the family."
*inspired by my friend only learning her cousin was marrying someone famous when he showed up to Thanksgiving and she lost her mind

Pairing: Eddie x F!Reader
Summary: Your friends, like the whole school, don't like Eddie Munson. You, on the other hand, think you'd like to get to know him but that's probably never going to happen. Until you find yourself locked up with him in the school library.
Tumblr media
The parking lot was crowded, filled with students arriving and getting ready for another day at Hawkings Highschool as you walked alongside your two friends through the sea of people.
"Is this jacket new?" Debby asked as she approached you with her nose, as if to sniff it, with an almost disgusted expression painted on her face.
You suppressed the urge to roll your eyes, it wasn't the first time Debby complained about the way you dressed, among the many faults she seemed to find in you every time.
"Um, yeah." You raised your eyebrows not understanding what she was getting at.
"It's leather." She stated as if the fact were a crime. "Leather stinks."
"Debby, it's not even real leather, it can't stink. I bought it for ten dollars at the flea market."
"Oh. So that's why it stinks."
"Debby, I swear I-"
"Hey, hey" Jess interrupted you "no one stinks in here, okay? Look, Y/N... Debbs and I were planning on going out tomorrow night. Maybe to the movies or something?"
"I'm sorry..."
"Ugh, what you have to do again?" Jess rolled her eyes, smoothing her perfect cheerleading skirt with her hands.
Jess was one of the most popular girls in school, perhaps second only to Chrissy Cunningham and a few other cheerleaders who became known through their jocks boyfriends.
"You know I work almost every day after school. Does the new record store sound familiar?"
"Oh c'mon, why do you have to work so much?" Jess snorted.
"Because I need money?" It was something between an answer and a question, you had never thought anyone would ask you why you decided making your own money was a good idea.
"Hey, it's okay. We'll do it another time okay?" Debby concluded, as you finally entered the school and Jess saw her boyfriend in the distance, talking to other jocks, all in their sparkly green and white school uniforms.
"Hey Beck!" She raised a hand to get the boy's attention and waved at him at the same time, trotting towards him and instantly forgetting you.
"God, she's so in love with him." Debby commented dreamily still by your side, looking at her friend from afar.
You saw the possessive way Beck kissed his girlfriend and then put his arm around her and held her close as he continued to talk to his friends, his hand was basically on her ass. "Mh, i guess she is. I really don't like that guy, anyway."
"How couldn't you? The whole school is as in love with Beck as they are with Jason." She waved at the blond boy who was now laughing at something a member of the basketball team had just said.
"Yeah, I don't like Jason either." You shrugged.
"That's impossible. He's one of the hottest guys I've ever seen."
"Debs, I'm not talking about his physical appearance. I don't like him as a person. I don't like how he behaves and how he treats people around him."
Debby looked at you for a moment with a slight smile on her lips as if she expected me to suddenly tell her you were joking.
"See you later in class, okay?"
You shook your head, thinking it was almost pointless to voice your opinion to people like her.
"Sure, see you later."
Tumblr media
Biology class was silent as the teacher explained the reproduction of cells through mitosis.
From your desk almost at the back of the room, you could see that Jess and Beck had no idea what the the tracher was talking about and kept exchanging notes probably filled with hearts and written in pink marker, you could see that the quiet boy at the first desk was just pretending to listen and that his gaze often fell on the window, probably fantasizing about what he saw outside, and finally, to your surprise, you could see that Eddie Munson, for the first time, had a pen in his hand he seemed to be writing.
Eddie Munson was a guy you never quite understood, both before you had a few classes together and after.
He didn't seem to be very interested in school, his grades or the way he responded to the teachers but it was already the second time he was repeating his last year of high school, proving that deep down, maybe, he didn't want to dropout.
He seemed to like to make all Hawkings think he was the mean and scary cultist people already thought he was yet he spent his free time playing a fantasy board game with freshmen, making them feel accepted in a school in which if you were considered even remotely different you could consider yourself doomed.
Eddie Munson was unusual and one of those people you wanted to get to know and understand what he was really like just because seen from an outside point of view, he seemed like an enigma.
"Well well well, what do we have here, Mr Munson?"
Mr. Walker's voice pulled you out of your thoughts and your head, like that of all your classmates, snapped towards Eddie.
That was the moment you realized that the whole time, Eddie wasn't taking notes but he was drawing something that you couldn't quite see from where you were.
"Oh-oh, someone's in trouble." You heard someone chuckle.
The teacher took the paper from Eddie's hands and looked at it with a wicked smile on his lips. "And what is this supposed to be?"
A slight smirk appeared on Eddie's lips. "Shouldn't you know? You studied animals and that stuff, right?"
The teacher chuckled as he crumpled up the paper and walked over to the bin next to his desk, dropping it among the day's other rubbish.
"I bet the freak will repeat the year for the third time." You hear Beck whisper and Jess laugh right after.
"I won't send you to detention again because I really want this year to be your last." The teacher continued, crossing his arms over his chest and looking at Eddie with a severe look. "But if you still don't pay attention to the lessons, you won't give us any other choice. Okay?"
"Okay." Eddie replied after a moment of silence, the way he said it vaguely recalled the professor's tone and you were sure he did it to make fun of him, the smirk on his lips was still there.
After one last glare Mr.Walker sat down again behind his desk and continued reading from the book.
The last laughs faded and the last gazes on Eddie returned to the notebooks, except yours.
You saw how his cocky expression gave way in less than a second when he thought no one was paying attention to him anymore, you saw how he closed his eyes for a moment, huffing as if the existence of the possibility of repeating the year for the third time suddently hit him, while passing a hand over his face with a tired expression.
The look in his eyes was far from the one they had when he teased jocks or made speeches on top of the cafeteria tables.
He had just dropped his facade and no one had even noticed.
You can't deny that for the rest of the lesson you kept eyeing him, only to find him propped up on his elbows on his desk, playing with the rings on his fingers.
When the bell rang Eddie was the first to get up, he grabbed his jacket and darted out of the classroom without once looking back.
You, on the other hand, were the last to leave, after placing your books back in your bag, but as soon as you stepped out the door an idea crossed your mind.
Maybe it was stupid, maybe it was even useless. You didn't even know why you were doing it.
You went back to class for a brief moment, grabbed Eddie's drawing from the bin, folded it quickly without even having time to look at it, stuffed it in your pocket and headed off to the next class.
You told yourself you'd probably never even get the chance to give it back to him.
Tumblr media
"You'll be at the match later, right?" Jess asked as she walked down the hallway next to you after the last bell of the day had rung.
"Mh, maybe." You murmured, thinking of a possible excuse to come up with.
"What do you mean with 'maybe'? What do you have to do this time? Debby said she'll be there."
"Actually, not much, I just gotta go the library to get some books."
"Okay, it won't take a lot. The game starts in half an hour so you have plenty of time." She smiled.
"Yeah, sure. Then I guess I'll be there." You said as you stopped in front of the school library.
"Kay, see you later!" She waved at you before heading towards the gym.
"Good morning Miss Cooper." You greeted the lady behind the desk as soon as you entered the library.
"Hi dear, I close in about fifteen minutes. You know, with the match and everything I don't think many students will come here."
You looked around, the only people who seemed to be there were two girls sitting in the corner and a teacher putting down some books he had borrowed.
"Then I'll try to make it quick." You said before disappearing among the shelves.
The school library was bigger than any student who had never set foot inside could have imagined. You often had found the right books to complete a history or literature honework, and many more times you found books that you enjoyed reading in your spare time, while waiting for customers at the record store where you worked or during boring classes.
Yeah, Eddie Munson wasn't the only one who didn't always pay attention to what the teachers were saying.
While you were there, between the fantasy and horror sections (which were right at the back of the library, almost in the dark, as if whoever had put those books there had wanted to hide them) your thoughts returned to Eddie and you remembered that his drawing was still in your jeans back pocket and you hadn't seen it yet.
You put your bag down on the floor and took the paper out of your back pocket.
It was an animal, that was why he had made that joke to the biology teacher.
The creature looked like a lion but it had a second head that looked like a goat and its tail was a snake. You knew what a chimera was and that drawing looked like it came straight out of a mythology book.
You didn't know Eddie could draw so well and you were sorry Mr. Walker hadn't thought before crumpling it up and throwing him in the bin like it was trash.
Boom.
A sudden noise made you jump.
Boom. Again.
You quickly put the drawing in your bag and walked towards the source of the noise but what you saw was one of the last things you ever expected.
You peeped over a shelf to observe the scene.
Eddie Munson slammed his fists on the closed library door before trying to pull the handle down and failing to open.
"Hello? Is anyone out there? Is this a prank or what?" He asked to whoever was on the other side of the door.
He slammed his hands on the door one last time. "Awesome, really, really awesome." He snorted talking to himself and probably thinking he was alone, then he turned around.
His gaze fell on you. "Jesus Christ." He put a hand to his chest like you scared the shit out of him and you couldn't help but chuckle. "What are you doing here?" he asked, his tone was kinder.
"What people usually do in libraries. I was looking for books."
"Oh, I think you'll have enough time to read a lot of books, we're stuck here."
You walked to the door as Eddie took off his jacket and left it on Miss. Cooper's desk, revealing his Metallica shirt. Then he sat on it, after moving a pen holder, dangling his legs.
You tried to open the door three times and when you realized there was no hope to go out you gave up and sat down in one of the chairs, facing Eddie.
"Oh my god." You whispered.
"It's okay, don't panic. Someone will notice you're missing and they'll come looking for you." You noticed the way he said "you" as if there was no way anyone would notice he was missing.
"I'm not panicking. I just found an excuse not to go to the game!" You smiled a little too enthusiastically.
"Excuse me, what?" Eddie shook his head as if he was sure he had misunderstood ehat you had said and his curls bounced on his shoulders.
"I've been trying to find an excuse not to go to that stupid match all day. Now I can say I've been stuck in the library."
Eddie made a sound that was somewhere between a snort and a laugh, amazed at your reaction. "You know, not to judge, but it's really weird that you're happy to be locked in a room with Eddie "the freak" Munson."
"Well... are you gonna sacrifice me to the devil?" You asked with a slight raise of your eyebrows and the ghost of a smile on your lips; Eddie was surprised for the second time: you were joking with him.
"Mh, no?"
"Okay, then we're good."
Eddie chuckled, ducking his head as if to hide his smile and you found yourself wishing he didn't do it anymore.
"What did you come for?" You asked then.
"For what people usually do in libraries. I was looking for books." He repeated your words with a smirk.
"Ah-ah" your laugh was far from genuine but the corners of Eddie's lips curled up anyway. "Has anyone ever told you that you're really funny?" You asked ironically.
"It may surprise you, but I think you have the honor of being the first." Eddie followed your movements with his eyes as you stood up from your chair and took a few steps between the shelves. Soon the sun would go down and you wouldn't even see the titles of books anymore without the sunbeams filtering through the windows.
"Are you coming or not?" You turned back to him, as if it was obvious you wanted him to come with you.
"Where?" He asked as he jumped off the desk reluctantly.
"To find the perfect book for you."
"Oh, I don't think that-"
"Fantasy and horror are in the back."
The smile you were starting to like returned on his lips. "Lead the way."
Tumblr media
"Where the fuck is she?" Jess asked Debby during the first break of the game, placing her pom-poms on the bench next to her.
"I don't know, she said she would come. You were the last one to see her."
"She said she had to do something really quick and then she'd come. Tomorrow she will come up with a stupid excuse like always."
"She's been getting a lot weird lately, I don't know what's going on with her."
"Yeah, I thought so too."
Tumblr media
Your laughter once again filled the library as the patter of the incessant rain that had been falling for almost an hour continued.
You never thought you'd spend so much time with Eddie one day, but apparently you were wrong. You enjoyed staying there with him.
"I swear it's a good one."
Eddie put all the books you convinced him to take on Miss Cooper's desk.
"It talks about a girl." He commented, as if that was all it took to not be a good book.
"Who has superpowers! Trust me, it's a good book. Near the end there's a lot of blood and stuff."
"Oh well, if 'there's a lot of blood and stuff' then I really should read it."
"Stop making fun me!" You hit his shoulder.
"Ouch!"
"I didn't hurt you."
"Yes, you did."
You rolled your eyes. "Read that damn book. Then tell me if you liked it."
"Well well well, do you wanna keep talking to me when we'll get out of here? Won't you pretend you don't know me?" He questioned, trying to figure out if you were lying.
"Why should I? Are you..." You hesitated "You're cool, I like you."
Eddie studied you for a moment. "You know, Y/N, I think you're a bit of a freak too."
You laughed, glancing at the books leaning on the desk. A weird creature caught your eye and you remembered Eddie's drawing.
"God, I almost forgot!" You took your bag in your hands, looking for the page. "I hope you don't think it's weird. I…I saved your drawing from the bin."
You handed him the paper, it was still a lot wrinkled but it was certainly in a better condition than when the teacher had thrown it in the trash.
Eddie stared at you.
He always had that way of looking at you with his big brown eyes that looked a lot like an animal that doesn't want to show that it's scared but is still reluctant to approach anyone.
He grabbed it slowly. "Why did you save it?"
"I wanted to see what you were drawing. It turned out to be worth it. It's really good."
"It turned out I was right."
You looked at him questioningly.
"You're a bit of a freak too. You put your hands in the trash to get a drawing of someone you didn't even know." He laughed again and you did the same.
You realized you liked the dimples that formed on his face when he smiled.
He took one last look at the drawing before carefully folding it and putting it in his pocket.
"Thank you." He finally said, sincere.
"Anytime."
Eddie's gaze fell on something behind you.
You turned around but didn't see anything different from moments before.
"What?"
"The window, Y/N, the window!" The excitement in his voice didn't even let you realize it was the first time he'd called you by your name.
"The window what?"
"We can get out through the window!" It seemed that at any moment he might start jumping from one side of the room to another.
You walked to the window where the rain continued to beat while Eddie looked behind you for something. "Looks quite high."
"And that's why we're going to need this." When you turned around Eddie was already setting up the ladder under the window after quickly putting on his jacket again.
"God, where did you find that?"
"I saw it earlier in the romance section."
"Were you checking the romance section?" You smirked.
"I walked past it, okay?" He rolled her eyes as he climbed the first rung of the ladder.
"Wait, should I go first?" He asked before going up.
"Go. Don't kill yourself when you jump to the other side."
"Who would care if I die?" He joked. Or you hoped he was.
"I would care! If they found me with your corpse who would they think sacrificed to the devil who?"
Eddie laughed again, shaking his head then opened the window. Lots of raindrops started falling on the library floor.
He sat on the edge before jumping over to the other side.
"Agh!"
"Shit, are you okay?" Your words left your mouth too quickly, your tone far too concerned about someone you've only known for a few hours.
No reply.
"Eddie, I swear-" You said starting up the ladder, the raindrops that passed through the open window falling on your face and in your hair.
"I'm fine!" He laughed.
"Thanks for your quick response." You commented ironically, not before breathing a sigh of relief.
"Aw, were you scared I was hurt?" You sat on the edge, now you could see his smirk as he looked up at you.
Most of his curls had gotten wet and stuck to his forehead and neck.
He was still pretty.
"Shut up."
"You were scared I was hurt!" He exclaimed, laughing, this time he was sure.
"Are you going to keep teasing me or are you going to help me get down from here?"
"Right, sorry." He reached out a hand and helped you jump. His fingers were warm, and having his palm against yours, even if only for a moment, gave you an indescribable feeling of security and safety.
"You okay?" He asked when you both finally got your feet on the ground.
"Yeah." His hand was still holding yours.
"Good."
"STAY FUCKING AWAY FROM HER!" Voices from behind you instantly made you turn around and before you know it Beck and Jason were pushing Eddie away from you. His hand slipped away from yours.
It seemed like the game was over.
"Are you okay? What happened?" Jess and Debby asked you, claiming you by the arm. "Did he hurt you?" Their tone was concerned and almost frightened.
"Hey, hey okay!" You tried to calm everyone down. "Eddie and I got locked in the library and went out the window, that's all."
You noticed that Jason's hands were still gripping Eddie's shirt, like he was ready to bail on him and beat him until he couldn't even remember his name at any moment.
The rain continued to fall incessantly on you, somewhere in the distance a thunder rumbled.
"Jason, leave him."
"Did he-"
"NO! STOP FUCKING ASKING!" You placed a hand on Jason's chest and pushed him away.
For a moment no one spoke. Like everyone was amazed that you didn't seem bothered by Eddie or that he hadn't done you anything wrong in the hours you'd spent locked in the library with him.
They were all looking at you with shocked expressions painted on their faces.
"Could you give me a lift home, please?" You turned to Eddie and this time he seemed to be the shocked one.
He pushed a strand of wet hair away from his eyes. "Yeah. Yes, of course I can."
"Okay, thank you." You kindly placed a hand on his back, as if urging him to leave. "Let's go."
You didn't say goodbye to any of the four students who watched you leave with Eddie "the freak" Munson and you didn't turn once as you walked beside him to his van.
You didn't know exactly how many friends you had just lost but you certainly knew you had a new one.

Y/N blew away the small pieces of hair that fell out of her ponytail. She could feel the sweat on her hairline as she moved quickly through the bar. Her feet hurt and she was exhausted, she hated working two jobs but she was a single mom with a six-year-old and needed the money.
She threw the dirty dishes in the sink, a shadow casting over her making her look up. She saw one of the hottest guys she had ever seen. He had long dark curly hair, a silver chain on his neck, and a white t-shirt that was thin enough to see dark ink on his skin. She tried to cough up spit to clear her dry throat.
"Welcome, what can I make for you?"
"Best beer you got," he said, she shivered at the deepness of his voice. She told herself to get it together as she made him his drink.
Eddie spent as much time looking at her as she did him. Both sneaking glances throughout the whole night until he paid off his tab. She had never seen him before so she figured she wouldn't see him again.
But the next night there he was. And the next and the next.
Eddie didn't have plans to come to the bar again but he felt this pull towards her. He was memorized when he watched her work. Her swift movements and how amazing she smelled in a dirty bar. She was gorgeous and he was sure he was not the only one who noticed.
She seemed young but not too young, and not too old. He figured she was around his age and hoped he was right.
After a few times he showed up they began to talk...and flirt. He couldn't help himself, he wanted to nail down his moves before some other lowlife beat him to it.
After countless small talk and interactions, he asked her out on a date. Something both of them were patiently waiting for.
~~~
Y/N calmed her nerves with a sip of wine as she waited at the restaurant. She hadn't been on a date since before her daughter was born. And even then it was with her ex. She felt terrified to start over but she refused to turn Eddie down.
"You sure stand out in a crowd," Eddie said as he pulled out his chair and sat down. "Somehow get more beautiful every time I see you"
She smiled and sipped on her wine as she felt her body burn. "Thank you." She patted herself on the back for picking the red dress because his eyes stayed on it all night.
The date went well. No awkward silence and it seemed like the conversation flowed. She wanted to tell him about her daughter but every time she tried, she panicked and said something else. Maybe it didn't have to be a first date thing.
As he landed a few bills on the table, he grabbed her hand. Both their bodies shivering as they met the cold air.
"Are you new in town? I've never seen you before the bar of course." She asked. She worked at that bar for years and never saw him.
"Not really. I only went to this one bar, but it closed down. I was searching for a new favorite spot" he shrugged. He kept his hand in hers as he walked towards his van.
"Seem like it could be a favorite?" she asked, leaning against the cold van.
"Oh, it is definitely my favorite" he smirked, he leaned against his van, mirroring her. He let go of her hand to hold her hip, drawing her body closer to his.
"Why's that?" she asked, her eyes looking down at his lips before looking back into his brown eyes
"It has you" he flirted, licking his lips when he caught her looking twice
"I am the best bartender there" she joked, enjoying the warmth as her body was pressed against his. His deep laugh rumbled through his chest and she could feel it against hers. He was so close it made her head spin.
"And by far the most attractive" he whispered. His eyes looked deep into hers. She felt her heart race as he tilted his head down.
"Are you going to kiss me or not?" She asked, growing impatient as they stared at each other's lips with desperation.
He didn't say anything, just giving her a smirk that made her a puddle at his feet. She gasped as she swiftly pushed her against the van and stood between her legs. Her back pressed against the van, the coldness calming down her hot skin. His left hand slowly moved up her dress, starting at her thigh and up to her cheek. His right hand stayed on her hip as he leaned in.
She closed her eyes as his lips pressed against hers. She moaned at the taste of him, her hands around his neck as she pulled him closer. He happily deepened the kiss as his tongue slipped into her mouth, he moved his hands down to her ass and squeezed. He swallowed her moan as she moved her hands into his hair.
Their steamy makeout came to an end when they needed air. They stared at each other, panting. No words to describe how perfect their kiss felt.
~~~
It had been a week since their first date and Eddie stopped by at the bar every day. He'd sit and talk to her all night long. He'd wait until she was done, sitting with her as she ate her dinner, and walked her to her car. He loved kissing her goodnight, and the activities that happened in the back of his van.
He called all the time, leaving her squealing into her pillows before she fell asleep.
Everything was perfect. Their second date was better than the last. Two weeks flew by and she was falling hard for him. And she could tell he was falling for her too.
Which is why she knew she needed to come clean before they went too far. She was nervous to tell him but had a lot of hope that it wouldn't matter.
~~~
Y/N smoothed down her black skirt as she looked at herself in the mirror. She doesn't remember which date number this was and she hoped it wasn't the last.
She slipped on a leather jacket and walked out of her room. She said goodbye to her daughter and the babysitter. She got in her car and drove over to Eddie's place.
She had been there a few times, most of them leading to his bedroom. She never spent the night but he never quite asked why. Maybe if he did, it would have made it easier to confess she had a child.
Eddie opened his front door for her and she smelled the amazing food he was preparing. She kissed his lips as he welcomed her in. A smile on his face as he kept pecking her lips for more. She laughed as she pushed him away to fully make it inside his small apartment.
"Smells wonderful" she complimented, she followed him into the kitchen. He had a towel tossed over his shoulder as he checked on the oven.
"Took me years to learn how to cook. Figured it might come in handy for a night like tonight" he winked.
Once dinner was finished, they sat at his dining table. They ate and talked. Y/N grew more nervous as each second passed.
"You alright? You seem a little distracted tonight." Eddie asked, reaching over to hold her hand. Their finished plates were pushed to the other side of the table.
"I have something to tell you, and I want you to know I wanted to tell you right away but everything has been so perfect and I didn't want to mess it up." She confessed, squeezing his hand.
"You can tell me. You won't mess anything up." He said, but she knew it was a 50/50 shot.
She took a deep breath
"I work as a bartender at my second job, and I never stay the night because I have a daughter. The father is not in the picture, I'm doing it alone with the help of a neighbor. She's six." Y/N said it all in one breath. Looked at Eddie as the words processed through his head.
She felt her heart drop in her stomach when he released his hand from hers. Moved it to rub his chin.
"So uh, you have a daughter? And you didn't tell me until a month after seeing each other? Practically every single day?" He asked, slightly annoyed and she completely understood why.
"I know! I wanted to tell you right away but I was scared. I just didn't want anything to change." She explained, but everything already changed.
"I'm not asking you to be her father or even to meet her right now. I just wanted to be honest about what a relationship together would include."
"I just don't think I want to be involved with a kid." Eddie said honestly.
"You don't have to right now though. I wouldn't feel comfortable meeting you two until we were together for like a year. Do you think a year will give you enough time?" She asked. She bit her lip as she shook her leg anxiously.
"I'm sorry, but no. I want a relationship with you, but a kid is too serious for me at the moment and I can't say if that'll change in a year."
She wanted to be mad, but she couldn't. It was fully his choice and she had to accept that.
"I respect that." She choked out, quickly wiping a stray tear. "I think I should go now."
"Yeah that might be best" Eddie sighed, standing up as she got up from her chair. "I'm really sorry about this." He added as she made it to his door.
"Yeah, me too. But I understand. Bye, Eddie." She said sadly, her wet eyes were the last thing he saw before his door closed.
She sobbed as she made it to her car. She wanted more than anything for him to want to make it work. But her daughter would always come first. She lost one relationship because of her daughter, she could handle losing another.
Eddie watched as she pulled out of the parking lot. A twitch in his stomach as her lights disappeared down the road.
He cleaned up their dinner, washing his dishes in silence. He kept looking back at the door, half hoping she'd come back but he knew that wouldn't happen.
He needed to accept that and move on.
~~~
Just as Y/N thought, Eddie was a ghost. She hasn't seen him since the night they broke it off. He hasn't called or been to the bar. She figured he'd disappear, and she was disappointed that she was right.
But she was a mother and needed to bust her ass. She worked through her bartending shifts as if she wasn't breaking down on the inside. Faking a smile as the older men praised her for her beauty. She acted as if nothing was wrong because that's what a woman does.
~
It had been a long month for Eddie. He drove up to that bar every day but was too chicken to get out. He wanted to see her, just a small glimpse. But he knew if he did, he'd go running in and begging for her to take him back.
But he still didn't know if he could commit to becoming a father figure within a few years.
So with fear in his heart, he'd drive away.
There were some nights when he was weak. When he was drunk at home, too scared to go to bars knowing where he'd end up. He'd call her, just to hear the sound of her voice as she said hello. He never said anything, just breathing into the phone.
He found himself doing it almost every night. At first, she'd hang up after a few seconds. Then she kept asking if someone was there. Then she answered but waited longer. He thinks she slowly caught on to who it was because she didn't hang up for hours. Just two people listened to the sound of each other breathing as they fell asleep. Once he'd wake up she was gone.
And he realized he needed way more than just hearing her breathe into the phone. He needed to wake up with her. He needed her in his arms, not over the phone.
The longer he waited, the closer she was to moving on.
He woke up, the sun burning his eyes. He rolled over hands reaching for the phone. He sighed once he saw the call disconnected.
But something was different that morning. He woke up with a purpose. The ache in his chest made a home, all because he allowed it in. He was the one who caused himself all this pain. And he wanted it to end. If living away from her was going to feel this painful, it would never be worth it.
So he redialed
"...
...
...
Hello?"
"Hey, it's me"
She almost gasped as she heard his voice travel through the line. His voice raised her heartbeat. She felt like she couldn't breathe.
"I wante-"
His voice cut out as she hung up. Slamming the phone on the wall and running.
Eddie hung his head as he heard the long beep.
"FUCK" he screamed, tears down his face as he mindlessly threw the phone.
~~
He didn't give up though. The next night he left his apartment, driving to the bar as he always did. But this time he got out. He tugged on the sleeves of his flannel as he pulled open the bar door.
The harsh smell of liquor and sex smacked his face. But that sweet perfume cut through it, filling Eddie's senses. Then his eyes caught her.
She was bent over scrubbing a table. Eddie moved forward but his eyes saw a flesh of skin slam down on her ass. Eddie felt himself lose control. It was like his body moved on its own as he screamed at the guy. Punches followed and all he could hear was screaming.
Then he was picked up by security and tossed out the door.
He stood up and dusted off his flannel. The bar doors opened and she raced out in a flash.
He had three seconds to take in how incredible she looked before her hand connected with his cheek. His head was slapped to the side and he moaned out in pain.
"I don't need you to be some hero. I can handle myself!" She said through clenched teeth
She turned around, aiming to head back inside when he spoke,
"I was just helping, goddamn."
She stopped in her tracks, turning around as she set fire to his body. She wanted to swing at him again but his arm held her arm.
"I don't need your help. I don't need anyone's help! I didn't need my mom, I didn't need my ex, and I sure as hell don't need you." She shoved his hands off of her.
"You might not need me, but baby I need you." He said, his eyes searching hers. "I'm so sorry for giving up on us. I was an idiot to let you leave, to not fight for you. I'll admit I'm the biggest prick alive for running away because you had a daughter. I can't imagine how that made you feel-"
"Like something I've felt before with her father," she snapped
Eddie whimpered at the blow. Licking his salty lips tears worked down his face.
"And that is the last thing I want to do again. I was scared but I can't let that stop me. I want you and everyone who comes with you."
Y/N turned around, not wanting to show her emotions as she tried to shake off his words. She wanted to stay strong and fight him off. But then he wrapped his arms around her, his chest against her back as he squeezed her.
"Please give me one more chance," he said into her skin as he kissed her shoulder.
She sighed and turned around in his arms. His soft lips crashed on hers, giving her no time to think as she kissed back. She melted into the familiarity of him. But then she pushed him away.
"I'm begging, baby. Please let me fix this." His lips kissed her nose and chin.
"Okay," she whispered. His shocked eyes looked at her as she nodded. A huge smile took over his face as she landed a thankful kiss on her lips.
"She's six and her favorite color is red..."
What could be so bad about having a family with her?

: playing with his hands - (eddie munson)
Tumblr media
contents: some 18+ content. your thoughts on eddie's hands, how you'd play with them. just two kiddos in love. word count - 420.
note: I got this idea from how everyone in this fandom simps over eddie's hands (me included). they're literally the hottest hands I've ever seen, I swear.
Tumblr media
as you sit on eddie's worn out sofa in his trailer, light streams into the living area. eddie sit’s beside you quietly, his arm placed over your shoulders as he watches tv on the large, clunky tv. you, too, were watching tv but were distracted by eddie’s large hand, his ring covered fingers, that rested in his lap. you felt so many things while looking at his hand: you wanted to intertwine your fingers with his, feeling the warmth of his palms against yours. feel the tug from his fingers as they're intertwined in your hair, pulling your head back to allow him to kiss your neck. you want to put eddie’s fingers in your mouth, tasting the sweet saltiness of the pad of his fingers. you wanted to feel his fingers flicker in your cunt, feeling the way they play against the strings of his guitar except inside you instead. around your throat would also do it, taking the last bit of breath you have from your body.
after eyeing his hands for long enough, you reach across his lap, taking his hand into yours. eddie laughs softly, turning his attention away from the tv screen to watch you analyze his hands. you look at them, thinking how they look like they were carved into stone as you brush your fingers across the veins that protrude at the top of his hand. your fingers touch the cool metal of eddie’s rings that are on his fingers, twisting them around. the designs of the rings intricate yet clunky; your favorite is the largest one, a skull nestled on top of the large, thick, silver band. eddie notices you admiring the rings and he takes one off, placing the piece of jewelry on one your fingers. the ring drops down to your knuckle, and you laugh at how it will never fit your finger properly. it makes your finger look even smaller and slimmer, if that’s even possible.
while everything about eddie ignites a flame inside you: his eyes, his smile, his lips, his cock. what does it most for you is his hands, how they’re so strong, a weapon to protect you from any harm or danger, yet at the same time they’re soft and delicate, similar to the gentleness of wisps of cotton candy. you love eddie’s hands, the way they cradle your face as he kisses your forehead or the way his fingertips graze your cheeks as he admires you. eddie, such a gentle giant, always uses actions, through his hands, to show how he loves you and will always protect you.

Icarus Part 8
Hey, guys! The plot is plotting and coming along. I've just had a rough week last week and really didn't get too far on any of my works but the omegaverse sequel. So I'm chomping through my backlog (which is a good thing, I promise, that's what it's for).
In this Steve has to deal with the not fun side of the music business, but Eddie is there to soothe the way.
Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3 Pt 4 Pt 5 Pt 6 Pt 7
****
Steve chewed on his nail as he looked over the contract for the tour they were going to be headlining for Corroded Coffin. It came with their usual anonymity clause.
The part Steve wasn’t sure about was the part where the guys and his roles on the tour to hide that they were part of the band.
Spence being a medic made sense. He was medically trained as an EMT and kept up on his certification even after they made it big.
Simon’s made sense too. Eddie had seen him as a roadie that night, so him continuing that was fine.
It was Shane and Steve’s that concerned him. He didn’t want to PA for The Fallen because then Dustin and his friends would want things like backstage passes and VIP tickets.
Things Steve didn’t want to do because that would get them too close to the action and he worried they would notice that they wouldn’t see Abbadon and him in the same place and put two and two together.
Shane’s role was that of an advance person. Someone that rode into town first to make sure everything was as it supposed to be according to their rider.
Steve loved Shane with all his heart, but he couldn’t think of a worse “job” for him.
Plus it wouldn’t make sense because he wouldn’t be on the same bus as the rest of the band.
He called up Robin.
“Hello!” she chirped her greeting. “What’s up?”
“I’m looking over the contract and they want me to PA and Shane to advance.”
There was silence on the line for a moment or two before Robin said, “I’m on it. I’ll get back to you.”
“Thanks, Celeste,” Steve teased.
He was not surprised when she just hung up on him. He chuckled.
His best friend was working on getting Shane and him in the right roles. On their last tour, Shane and Simon had been roadies and Steve had been an assistant like Robin.
Steve looked back at the contract with a sigh. He set it aside and pulled out his notebook. He couldn’t write lyrics or music, but he could write down his thoughts and feelings.
He wrote about the fear of being discovered, of showing his true self. What people would think of him and his friends. Everyone said that metal fans were among the most welcoming in the industry.
Unless you looked like someone they didn’t approve of. Steve couldn’t remember which 1980s rocker it was, but the dude was papped outside a store waiting for his wife in cargo shorts and Birkenstocks and the internet had a fucking field day.
Like how dare he go to the store not dressed all in black and leather and chains everywhere.
It was no doubt the biggest reason no one had cottoned on to him and his friends being The Fallen. Because why would four preppy guys be the members of the hottest rising metal band right now?
He flipped to a different page and began writing about finding love where you left it. Eddie had always had Steve’s heart, ever since they were thrown together when a freak earthquake that was caused by nearby fracking destroyed almost half the town they grew up in.
Eddie ran the local DND club which Dustin and his friends had been a part of.
Steve had managed to keep all of them safe and Eddie, who had been unsure of the former jock had warmed up to him by the time they had come through at the end of the week long ordeal.
Steve had fallen in love with Eddie’s sense of humor, his dimpled smile, and doe brown eyes.
So he wrote about that too.
By the time Robin had called back he had written so much his hand was cramping.
“Hello, hello!” he greeted warmly.
“Hey,” Robin said. “So I talked it over with their lawyers and ours and I think we’ve go the solution.”
“Hit me with it,” Steve said.
“Right so we have Shane assisting with me,” she said. “He doesn’t have anyone really close to him who would ask for favors and shit, or at least not ones he wouldn’t gleefully tell to fuck off.”
Steve sighed in relief. “That’s good.”
“You were a little trickier,” Robin admitted. “But then I remembered you picked up a couple of CPR certifications in the past and got them to make you medic too. You just have to take the refresher courses while we’re in the studio.”
Steve chewed on his thumb. He had wanted to be an EMT before he met Spence and saw how much it took out of him.
“Wouldn’t it look bad if two medics suddenly vanished for two hours every night?”
Robin chuckled. “You’re assigned especially to the band. So you can’t be called during a performance. I do think of these things you know.”
Steve sighed with relief. “I know you do, I just worry.”
“Worry wart,” she teased. “It’ll be fine. You just have to keep it in your pants while on tour because an EMT dating a rockstar is going to be suspicious as hell.”
Steve rolled his eyes. “You mean like every other tour we’ve been on?”
“Only this time,” she said, voice dangerously low, “you’ve got temptation in the form of one Eddie Munson, the man you’ve been pining over for literal years.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Steve groused. “Am I at least allowed to be seen with Eddie you know, considering we are friends?”
Robin sighed dramatically. “I guess. Just try to keep the PDA to a minimum please.”
“I promise.”
This was going to a very long three month tour.
****
Jim Hopper was a former Marine and he looked it. He was built like a tank with a grizzled appearance and cigar tucked between his teeth. Simon thought that he thought Hopper scared the enemy off just glaring at them and Steve privately agreed.
He was there for two reasons. To deprogram their stage persona and to brush Steve up on his emergency medical training.
Actually they all were learning because it was it interesting. Simon and Shane didn’t need to pay attention for certification, but they did anyway.
“How long do you guys plan to be in the studio this week?” Hopper asked. “I need to know if I need to have someone else pick up my daughter from the airport.”
“They want us to have at least eight hours in the studio a day,” Shane explained. “They want us to get as much done as we can before Corroded Coffin goes on tour so they can at least release a single or two.”
Hopper nodded. “Then I should be fine. She’s a fashion designer in New York and the fashion house she works at is sending her out here to intern at their LA branch.”
“That’s awesome!” Shane said. “Maybe while she’s here we can fan her design our costumes for the new tour.”
Hopper shook his head. “As long as it paid. This internship sure ain’t.”
Robin threw her arms in the air. “Fine! I’ll see what the budget is for that and get back to you.”
Hopper chuckled.
“They have you wrapped around their fingers, girly.”
Robin smirked. “Don’t I know it.”
****
That night Steve called Eddie up.
“Hey, baby,” he cooed.
“Hey, sweetheart,” Eddie greeted back. “How did today go? It was first day with the deprogramer, right?”
Steve curled up on the sofa and tucked his feet under him. “It was okay. He’s a bit scary, but apparently he has a daughter Dustin’s age.”
“The butthead will be pissed he missed that,” Eddie chuckled.
“Yeah,” Steve agreed warmly. “She’s really pretty, too.”
“Don’t get me wrong, Suzie’s a great girl. But we all know here parents aren’t going to let her marry someone ‘outside the faith’ as it were.”
Steve chewed on his thumbnail. “Yeah. I was hoping with them both going home for the whole summer would break them up.”
Eddie scoffed. “It’s good thing talk and text is included in mobile plans these days unlike in early days of yore when mobile plans made you pay for every text message and long distance calling, otherwise their cell phone bills would be through the fucking roof.”
“Tell me about,” Steve huffed. “And he’s going to spending the last week of vacation in Utah with her.”
“Eeee,” Eddie said with a grimace, “is it bad of me that I hope her parents scare him off?”
“Maybe a little,” Steve admitted. “But I just want him to be happy, you know?”
Eddie let out a long drawn out sigh. “Yeah. So you guys got the contract all figured out?”
“Yeah, I guess,” Steve muttered. “It’s going to be hard being in the studio and taking EMT course to pretend to be medical personnel. Well not really pretending. Both me and one of the other band members have training. Me with being a lifeguard for awhile there and them with being an EMT. But it feels wrong somehow.”
“Is there something else, some other role you can fill?” Eddie asked after a moment or two of silence.
“Not according to Robin,” Steve groused. “She says it’ll be fine and no one will figure it out. And I trust her. Her plans have gotten us through two tours already, one even being overseas...”
“But you’re still worried because I’ll be on the road with you?” Eddie asked gently.
Steve threw his head back and groaned. “God that sounds so horrible of me.”
“Hey, hey,” Eddie admonished. “It’s not. It’s an extra variable you didn’t have to factor in before. But we will make it work.”
“I think the biggest part is that Eddie and Steve have to remain friends until after the tour so everyone doesn’t connect Steve with Abbadon,” he said. “God that sounded pretentious. Talking in third person like some Chad.”
Eddie giggled. “Maybe a little, but I got what you mean.”
“Don’t laugh!” Steve whined. “My dick is going to fall off from the sheer amount of blue balling that’s going to be happening on this fucking tour. Well not fucking actually. I’m going to be in hell!”
“And people tell me I’m dramatic,” Eddie said laughing out loud. “What do you normally do on tour?”
Steve sat up and stretched his feet out in front of him on the sofa. “It’s complicated.”
Eddie snorted. “I don’t doubt that, sweetheart. Are we talking NDAs or fucking with the masks on?”
Steve laughed. “It’s more like no phones, dark room, no staying the night. That sort of thing.”
“I’m betting there aren’t many that agree to that.”
“More than you’d think,” Steve snorted. “Groupies gotta fuck.”
“We’ll figure something out. I won’t let those pretty balls go blue,” Eddie said with a snicker.
“Help me, Eddie-wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope!” Steve cried in a sharp falsetto.
Eddie laughed. “You’re a menace, Steve Harrington.”
“And you love it.”
Warmth just flooded Eddie’s tone when he replied, “I love you.”
“I love you, too, Eds.”

ohhhhh for the prompt thing can i see 30 or 49?
(also MY BAD i accidentally hit the unfollow/ follow button instead of the ask box 🙈🙈🙈)
lol, I was very confused. no worries!
Yes, I would love to! I'll do 30 now and 49 in a couple hours? I'm currently using my partner's computer and will be going home soon. 😊 I'll make sure to tag in you in that one too.
30-Being Protective
Buck really should have seen this coming, but at the time, when Gerrard had made the comment, he'd simply been venting to Tommy. But maybe this time was one vent too far because, a couple hours after he sent the text about Gerrard's latest bullshit, Tommy is striding into the station, a look of rage on his face like Buck's never seen before.
He gets in front of him, holding his hands up. "Tommy, babe-" but Tommy neatly sidesteps him and going clearly for the Captain's office (Buck and the rest of the team refuse to think of it as Gerrard's, no matter what the bastard says). Buck shoots a worried look at Eddie, Hen, Ravi and Chimney and they all follow Tommy.
"Hello, Kinard," Gerrard says in that oily, smarmy voice that Buck hates. He leans back in his chair and folds his hands on his stomach like this is the most comfortable he's ever been.
"You son of a bi-"
"Tommy, don't," Buck insists, laying a hand around Tommy's bicep. His muscles are wound tight. Tommy is in fight mode, flight nowhere in sight.
Gerrard stands, using his hands on the desk to lever himself up, a smug grin on his face. "What did you say to me, Kinard?"
"Leave him alone," Tommy says, voice hard and cool. "Leave them all alone."
"I don't know what you're talking about," Gerrard says, far too smoothly for Buck's liking and he's right. Every little comment or dig, everything he does is never outrightly offensive. But they never leave room for much doubt. They're working on collecting evidence but they just don't have enough yet.
"I'm sure," Tommy bites out. "But I promise you, one more, one more time I'm told about something you've done to him or said, or implied something, I don't give a shit about my career. You will see the inside of an ER. I promise you that."
Smart, Buck thinks. Tommy promising that Gerrard will see the inside of an ER doesn't necessarily constitute a threat. Tommy knows how to play the game after all these years.
"You really think you would get away with anything?" Gerrard says softly.
Tommy leans forward, as far as he can over the desk, and hisses, "Try me."
Before Gerrard can say another word, Tommy turns around and strides out, not looking at any of them. As Buck and the others follow him, Buck looks back and can swear he sees Gerrard's mask slip, just the tiniest bit.
"We'll cover, Buck," Eddie says as Buck follows Tommy out to the parking lot and Buck shoots him a grateful look.
"Tommy," he says gently as Tommy gets to his truck and leans against it as though all his strings have been cut.
"I'm sorry," he croaks. "I just...I spent a really long time pretending I didn't give a shit about him but now, I've got you and I couldn't take it anymore."
Buck walks forward and wraps his arms around Tommy's waist, leaning against his chest.
"That-" Buck says, leaning in for a kiss. "Was the hottest thing I've ever seen."
Tommy blinks, clearly surprised. "What?"
"Yeah, you're getting rewarded when I get to your place tonight," Buck insists.
"Evan, I-"
But Buck kisses him again. "I've never had anyone stand up for me like that before. Thank you."
Tommy still looks pole-axed. "Um, you're welcome. I hope it doesn't make things worse."
Buck shrugs. "I can handle it. Maybe it'll make him slip up into something we can use."
Tommy sighs and cups Buck's face. "Be safe."
"I will. Go home. Hit a punching bag. I'll be there in a few hours."
Tommy nods and kisses him goodbye and drives off. Buck knows he will have that entire episode in his head on repeat for a very long time.

You can't stop thinking about Eddie Munson. The super hot dad from across the street. He’s married but that doesn't stop you from fantasizing about him. About him on his knees, in your bed, against his kitchen counter, anything that comes to mind. You just want to take him and claim him as yours, steal him away from his useless husband. You could treat Eddie so well.
Tumblr media
Eddie invited you over to play music with him. It’s a regular thing but this time, he's home alone. No kids, no pesky husband, just you and him.
“So…how's the spouse?” You ask, sitting down on the couch and placing your instrument case next to the couch. “Is he treating you well?”
He frowns. “Not really. We don't get along as well as we used to.” He tunes his guitar.
You hold back a grin. “Why?”
“He just doesn't give me what I need…” He trails off, realizing he might've shared too much information.
“I could.”
“What?”
“I could give you everything you need. I could take care of you, make you feel good.” You hold his cheek in your hand. “Just give me a chance.”
Eddie blushes, desperate for any kind of affection. It's not like he hasn't fantasized about you before. How your hands would feel on his body, how your tongue would feel inside of him, or how big you might be…
“I’m a whole lot older than you,” He starts, placing his guitar in its case. “Why would you want someone like me?”
“Why wouldn't I? You're the hottest man I've ever seen, your age doesn't matter. I want to give you everything you’ll ever want, let me.”
He hesitates before going in to kiss you. You grab his waist and place him onto your lap, groping his ass while deepening the kiss. Eddie rolls his hips, already getting aroused from the way you touch him. He tugs down your pants, your underwear coming down next, and reaches for your cock. He pulls away from the kiss and looks down at your length. “Fuck…you’re bigger than him..” He whispers, boosting your ego. He spits on your cock before wrapping his fist around it and jerking you off. “Shoulda done this earlier..”
“Yeah, you should've.” You smile. “Let’s make up for lost time.” You pick him up and bring him to his bedroom. You place him onto the bed and help him get his clothes off. “God, you're so fucking hot..”
His body is perfect and you can't stop staring. You slot yourself in between his legs and press kisses along his body from his neck to his chest and down to his happy trail. You move your body to be face to face with his pussy and press a kiss to his little t-dick. Your tongue trails down from there to his hole before burying your face in his chubby cunt and eating him out, devouring his delicious wetness. Eddie rolls his head back and lets out the prettiest sounds. He hasn't been touched in what feels like years. And he’s never had his pussy eaten before. He feels like he could come in minutes. Seconds, even.
Eddie subconsciously closes his thighs on you, suffocating you in his pussy. You keep going regardless, eating him out like a mad man. Your tongue reaches his g-spot, a surge of pleasure running through his body. “Th- there!” He cries out, squeezing your head harder. “Oh God—” He bites his lip and shuts his eyes closed, squirting on your tongue. “Fuck…[Name]..” He relaxes his body, allowing you to pull away. He hasn't come this hard in…well, ever.
You look at him, face shining with his juices. “You taste so good, Eddie.”
“Your- your fucking tongue, Jesus- I can't think straight-” He covers his face. “I- Fuck..”
“D’you want more?”
“please–” His voice cracks.
You bury yourself back in between his legs, kissing his little cock before enveloping it in your mouth. Eddie’s eyes widen as you suck on one of the most sensitive parts of his body. Two of your fingers slip into his aching hole with ease. You begin to slide them in and out of him while gently sucking on his dick. Eddie starts to sob, overwhelmed by the pleasure.
“oh- Yes~!” He cries out. “[Name]!”
You angle your fingers at his g-spot, earning a breathy “Fuck!” from Eddie. You pound into the area mercilessly, drawing him into another orgasm.
“Ss~ so good! I’m gon- uh~!” He suddenly throws his head back and squirts. He mumbles your name dreamily, body twitching. You plant soft kisses all over his thighs before pulling away.
You let Eddie recover from his orgasm before doing anything more.
Eddie reaches over to the side drawer, hands shaking as he fishes out an unopened box of condoms. He checks the expiration date and frowns. It expired two years ago. It's not like they would've fit you anyway.
You can tell by his expression that the condoms are no good. “Should I go get some?” You weren't expecting any of this to happen and you didn't have a need for condoms so of course you didn't have any either.
“It's- it's fine, just pull out, okay?” He turns to the side and plays with a strand of his hair. “I don't wanna wait..”
You pull your pants down completely and slot your body in between his legs. You start to ease into him, going slowly and taking in his warmth. Eddie whimpers and watches as he envelops your cock, his cunt stretching to take your girth.
“You don't know how amazing you feel, Eddie..” You speak in a low voice, falling in love with the feeling of his velvety pussy. You gently run your hands along his body as you bottom out, a soft smile on your face. “I've wanted this for so long, baby. I’m gonna give you what you deserve.”
Eddie blushes. “please..” He whispers. “Fuck me, [Name].”
You're so deep inside him, his husband pales in comparison.
You grab hold of his thighs and raise his legs high before gently thrusting into him. You admire the hazy expression on Eddie's face, his cheeks are flushed red. You lean into his neck and press soft kisses along his flesh. It's unfortunate that you can't make any marks on him. You slowly pick up the pace, starting to move faster until your thrusts turn quick and passionate. Eddie clutches the sheets as pretty moans escape his soft lips, your thrusts are making him see stars. He's never felt like this before, you're hitting all the right spots. He didn’t know sex could feel this good.
“Yes! [Name]!” Eddie gasps. “Fuck-”
The bed shakes and creaks as you thrust into him, practically claiming his pussy as yours. Both you and Eddie know he won't be satisfied with anyone else after this. His hair and face are a mess. He’s never gotten like this before. He doesn't want it to stop.
You bring Eddie into a sloppy kiss, kissing him like you’ll never touch him again. He wraps his hands around your neck to keep you close to him. Neither of you have been this intimate with anybody before. It feels like you've been missing out on each other’s touch all your lives.
You reluctantly part from the kiss in favor of breathing. You wish you didn't need to because otherwise, you’d be kissing him all day.
“Shit–” He bites his lip. “I'm close-”
You bring your hand down to jerk him off, causing Eddie to dig his nails into your skin. You're basically on cloud 9 so it doesn't even hurt. “Let’s come together, baby.”
He feels even more turned on hearing that. Neither of you are in your right mind, the promise to pull out has been completely thrown out the window and Eddie wants nothing more than to feel you come inside him.
Just a few moments later, the two of you are having an orgasm at almost the same time with Eddie milking your cock for all it's worth.
The sane part of you is aware of the mistake you just made but the other part doesn't even care. It's a problem for tomorrow.

Steve not really knowing what’s happening the first time he goes into subspace and being worried that Eddie will think he’s weird for going all floaty and soft when in reality Eddie is about to pass out bc he’s so happy that Steve is a sub 🥺❤️
oh my gosh this is so sweet, I love it... Steve being anxious afterwards and thinking maybe he's a freak, like sex shouldn't affect people like that should it?? Being embarrassed too. Like Eddie must have sex with people all the time, who are way more experienced at this stuff than him, and would never be so easily overwhelmed. Like it must have been such a drag seeing him like that and having to look after him.
He whips himself up into such a frenzy about it and avoids Eddie for days until Eddie winds up on his doorstep, face set in a scowl, and when Steve lets him in, Eddie's like, "Did I do something wrong? Did you hate it? Did I hurt you??" and Steve can't bear Eddie thinking he did something wrong, so he blurts, "No I loved it, all of it, I'm just sorry I was so weird afterwards, I don't know what was wrong with me," and Eddie's eyes go wide and he's like "oh my god, you think you did something wrong?" and Steve's like "yeah..." and Eddie laughs but before Steve thinks he's laughing at him, scoops him up in his arms and says, "baby, you were in subspace" and Steve's like "subspace?" Eddie leans in and nuzzles at his cheek and he's like, "yeah, and it was the hottest fucking thing I've ever seen in my life. It wasn't bad or weird, it was so good. You were incredible" and Steve completely melts from all the praise.
They spend the next few hours cuddling and talking through it all, and then Steve never worries about it again <3

Girlmoding double dee based off She's So Kawaii by LeetStreet Boys! Took me a while to come up with a good hat design (it needs to have bunny ears cuz of the song) but eventually remembered those hats with the long paw glove thingys from when I was a kid and realized they would be PERFECT for this (and historically accurate!)
I have a whole story for this in my head I'll put it down below :3
[Copied and pasted from when I described the idea to my buddies]
I should made a double dee x eddy animation to cosplay girlfriend or she's so kawaii where double dee is girlmoding out in public somewhere & nerding it up and eddy finds her and is like "damn this is the hottest chick I've ever seen" without realizing who it is and starts flirting her up HARDCORE and double dee is like "fuck fuck fuck what do I do" and just goes along with it because she's had a crush on eddy for years, and as the song goes on you see eddy getting to know her girl self and online persona (he asks for her blog and she gives it to him) and double Dee's really enjoying her time with eddy, but internally panicking whenever she gets home, at about 1 and a half or 2 minutes in (where the song gets to that quieter part) she tries to kinda isolate because she's scared that eddy would be mad if he found out who it really is, and near the end it shows a scene where eddy reaches out even harder and tells her he's really into her, then double dee snaps and comes clean + confesses everything she feels (it'll be a mildly humorous scene where she shows herself without any makeup and without her hair done up, but eddy still doesn't recognize her, so she puts on the hat and eddy instantly gets it all (its like a perry the platypus type deal it'll be really funny)), then eddy looks at her for a moment, pulls her somewhere a bit more secluded (maybe shes standing at his front door and he pulls her inside), then pulls her in and gives her the biggest most romantic smooch on the mouth and it ends with double dee smiling and laughing+crying (good crying). Cutest shit you'll ever see

(moodboard by me)
It had been your idea to move back home. You’d left after high school and gone to college just how you were supposed to, but it just hadn’t been working out.
When the earthquakes happened it seemed like the right time to leave. To go home. Figure out what you actually wanted to do.
So you told your faculty advisor, your tutors, everyone that you needed some time to go back home and help your parents pick up the pieces. As it turned out you weren't the only one who'd thought the same, you'd run into more old friends and classmates around Hawkins now than you'd ever done before. People who had stayed, people who had left and come back for one reason or another.
It almost felt like Hawkins had some sort of gravitational pull that no matter where you went or what you did Hawkins would always pull you back into its orbit. Like there was something, not natural, going on. It wouldn't be the first time people brought up the strange happenings in town and attributed it to something unnatural. Though people like that were usually seen as nothing more than crackpots and conspiracy theorists, like that guy Murray your dad had told you about who lived outside of town.
➽───────────────❥
It was strange being back in Hawkins but also as if you'd never left, you'd expected things to have changed somewhat in the year since you'd been gone but apart from some more stores that had closed downtown apparently threatened by the new mall being built outside of town, new since the company that had owned Starcourt went out of business after the fire (something about asbestos was the rumour) but all the money had since been diverted to “help Hawkins heal”, which seemed to be the bullshir campaign the mayor was running on to try and get re elected. According to your dad however, it wasn’t gonna work.
You'd been lost in thought and almost didn't see the boy who ran out into the street in front of your car, you just about had time to slam on the brakes before you added to the Hawkins Death Toll. What was strange however was that instead of coming to a dead stop your car seemed to want to go left towards the curb.
You could see the boy's mother coming out into the street and chastising her son, obviously she'd turned her back for two seconds and the boy had just forgotten all about basic road safety,
"I am so sorry about him, is your car ok? Did you hit the curb?" the woman asked, "Johnny! Apologise to the lady, you probably scared her half to death!"
Johnny didn't seem to understand what he'd done wrong and was instead gawking at his mother with large wet tears forming in his eyes,
"I'm ok, the car probably just needs to go to the shop. It's due for a check up" you told the woman, you had no desire to stick around and wait for Johnny to start crying and screaming. So you bid the woman goodbye and headed off home again. Your car was already full of groceries and you didn't want anything to spoil.
After unloading the car and the groceries you told your Dad about what had happened,
"That's definitely not good, you really should get that checked out. I'll take a look"
"No you will not" your mum warned, brandishing a spatula as a weapon, "you aren't a mechanic and you don't know half as much about cars as you think you do"
"I was just gonna take a look"
"Take it to Randy's on Elm, they'll take a look at it for you" your mum brandished her spatula at your dad again, "if you want something to do then I've got a hundred jobs you could be doing"
You took your mother's advice and left the house again. Watching as your dad slumped back towards the house, he was a man with a lot of opinions. It was true but those opinions didn't always equate to professional knowledge.
➽───────────────❥
You made it to Randy's without incident and pulled your car up into the forecourt, you couldn't see anyone around and thinking maybe they were in the back or on lunch you headed into the office. The door made a ringing noise as you opened it and you could hear someone calling out from behind the counter,
"Be with ya in just a sec" the male voice called, the voice sounded vaguely familiar and so you wondered if perhaps another old friend was working behind the counter these days.
When a curly headed man popped up from behind the counter you had to dig your keys into the palm of your hand, Eddie Munson looked different than you remembered but he still had the same effect. He had scars on his face and what looked like a ligature mark around his neck, you remembered hearing about the escaped Serial Killer Henry Creel and what he'd done to the kids who'd been his victims and to Eddie but you hadn't expected Eddie to still be in Hawkins,
"How can I help you Princess?" he asked with a slow grin, "having car trouble?"
You swallowed hard and relayed your troubles to Eddie and that you'd been told to come here specifically to get the car checked out,
"Um I don't know what's wrong but I guess it's my brakes?" you said shifting awkwardly from one foot to the other, "i don't know anything about cars"
"Well don't you worry Princess that's what we're here for. Why don't you leave the car with me for a couple hours and I'll see what I can do"
You nodded and moved towards the counter to fill in the paperwork Eddie placed on top and handed him your keys. He laughed at the little keychains you'd attached to the main keyring and you felt all the blood rush to your face,
"Um, should I wait here or?"
"It'll take me a little while and I wouldn't want you waiting around for me" Eddie told you, "why don't you go home and i'll call you when we're all set"
You nodded and left the office. How you were going to get home was another question entirely but right now you needed someone to vent your feelings to.
➽───────────────❥
Twenty minutes later you were sitting in Benny's with your best friend Maria and relaying the whole interaction to her,
"He looks even better than he did in school Maria, how is that fair?"
Maria who'd known all about your crush on Eddie in High School and had listened to you talk about him for hours just laughed,
"Girl you were in college, didn't you find any nice college boys to get over this crush?"
"I thought I did but … ugh" you hit your head lightly off the table, "he was wearing coveralls and he had his hair up, I'm only human!"
Maria just shook her head at you and stole another one of your fries. She knew there was nothing she could say or do in this situation, you just needed to get it out,
"Would it be entirely unethical to just ruin my car if it means he'll be the one fixing it?" you asked from your spot on the table, "like I'm sure I could find something in the library that would tell me which parts i could pull out to make it still run but need looking over"
Maria opened her mouth but then cut herself off with a grin, she had spotted a familiar mass of curly hair not too far away from where you were currently lamenting,
"I think maybe that's a little extreme babe" she said, "eat your burger, we'll go get your car when we're done. I'll be your emotional support"
➽───────────────❥
Maria was true to her word and she drove both of you back to Randy's to pick up your car, or at least to see if it was ready,
"Well well what have we got here. Miss me that much Princess?" Eddie's voice rang out across the forecourt as he came into view again. His coveralls were tied at his waist and there was what you assumed to be engine oil on his white t-shirt, arms and a smear across his face. You could tell he'd built some more muscle since high school, probably from working in the Garage and his arms were much more toned than you remembered,
"Is the car ready?" Maria asked, since apparently you had lost the ability to speak,
"Yeah she's ready to go. Why don't you come in the office with me Princess and we'll get this all squared away?"
You nodded dumbly and followed Eddie into the office, he jumped the counter and fumbled around looking for the right paperwork. You could see Maria outside giving you an encouraging smile and thumbs up,
"Um, what do I owe you?" you finally found your voice as Eddie turned back around, you'd brought your Dad's credit card with you knowing you wouldn't have enough to pay for this outright,
"How about we call it $150 and a date?" Eddie grinned at you again, "and you promise you won't ruin the poor car just to see little old me?"
"Oh my god you heard that?" you wanted nothing more but the ground to open up and swallow you whole, "i'm so sorry"
"What's to be sorry about?" Eddie laughed, "it just gave me the little push the guys said I needed to ask you out. So what do you say?"
"Absolutely. Yes"
Eddie made a little fist pumping motion and you couldn't help but laugh. Turns out you wouldn't need to ruin your car for a date with the hot mechanic after all.
Maybe coming back to Hawkins was the best thing you'd ever done.

part two | read part one on ao3 | see all parts
eddie had seen it before in the mirror, the face of a man clinging onto the hope of love despite all the evidence on the contrary being thrown at him. and he saw it again, there at work on a normal wednesday evening, when an old aquaintance (cough crush cough) was staring him in the face with a broken look in his eyes and the news he was waiting for his boyfriend.
the word waiting sat heavy in the air, eddie had watched him sat in bar for over an hour, bored and lost. hadn't realised who it was until they were face to face, felt guilty about the bet he'd made with his coworker on whether the cute guy had been stood up.
and maybe eddie hadn't ever been in a real relationship, so maybe steve was right when he said he didn't understand, but god, steve had to leave this guy right? eddie wasn't a complete idiot about these things. and with steve sat silently in the passenger seat as eddie drove him back to his place he couldn't keep himself from saying
you know, you are worth a lot more than a guy who makes you wait two hours
to which steve scoffed, and eddie added
i'm so serious steve you were the hottest guy in school you could get literally anyone you want
thats not exactly true though is it? steve answered , i've had two serious relationships in my life. nancy broke up with me and brick...i don't know if he's gonna wanna see me again after what i said
what did you say?
...i said he was a self centred asshole who treats everyone around him like shit to try and live out his high school fantasies of being a popular kid
steve stopped, looked at eddie whos eyebrows raised and lip quirked upward
its kinda harsh, huh? steve asked
eddie sighed, he shouldn't date a bitch if he didn't wanna hear bitchy things
rude. steve replied. I am a bitch though, for example, what the fuck happened to your hair, munson?
eddie pulled into his buildings parking lot, ran a hand over his sheered hair, he shrugged
there was a lot tied into who i thought i was back in school. started to feel more like a prison than a freedom
steve laughed. yeh i get that, he said. you lose the vest too?
oh absolutely not shes upstairs in my appartment, we should probably - eddie signalled to get out of the car
this is weird, right? steve said, finally making their way into eddies appartment (he lived on the sixth floor, the elevator was out of order, neither man was as fit as they were in high school) we've not seen each other in two years and now i'm staying the night, steve continued
well yeah i guess, but you know between demobats and vecna and oh steve harrington is gay now? not the strangest thing thats happened
steve harrington was always gay you just had no gaydar, steve retorted
hard to practice in hawkins, eddie replied, you still live there?
it wasn't eddies fault, he didn't realise it was a loaded question. he didn't know that steve's relatationship with his parents had become strained since his coming out, he didn't know that any time steve went back home he felt the absence of the pride they once felt for him, even if they hadn't chucked him out, even if they had helped him get an office job in the city it was still easier to be away from them.
and eddie didn't know either, that since nancy and robin had gone to college and the kids had started driving themselves around steve had gotten more lonely than ever, back in hawkins, that his life had come to revolve so much around brick because he had had no one else for so long
uh yeah well. steve started to answer, sat down on the sofa. i was meaning to get my own place but i just kept staying at uh - at bricks so..
oh shit, eddie said, don't cry man
yeh. steve said. yeh i'm sorry - can i just use your phone? i should go. i should call him i'm an idiot
steve, just sleep on it, please. he'll be there in the morning.
but eddie couldn't stop him, he had to let him use his phone, had to watch him get picked up by the same boyfriend who had abandoned him earlier that night. but as he left, he stopped, took eddies arm and a biro and said, - this is my pager number, lets catch up okay? under better circumstances

"Hi Dean."
Dean blinked in shock. "Y/N? What are you doing here?"
"Ya know, just hangin' out." She awkwardly leaned against the doorway and winced when she accidentally whacked her elbow. She rubbed the sore spot. "What are you doing here?"
"Well we..."
The longer haired man. Sam, she thinks his name is, reached into his pocket and pulled out an ID. He nudged Dean to do the same.
"We're -"
"You two are not FBI," she interrupted.
"How do you know that?" Sam countered.
"I've had my fair share of run ins with the Feds." She crossed her arms over her chest and stared Sam down.
"Why have you interacted with the FBI?"
"I'm a criminal mastermind," she deadpanned.
Dean snickered. Sam frowned at his brother.
"Why are you two really here?"
"You wouldn't believe us if we told you."
"Try me."
"Alright," Dean said. "Monsters Exist."
He waited for a freak out, but all he got was a blank stare.
"You don't seem surprised."
"I'm not."
"You're not?"
"Nope."
"Oookay. Well, my brother and I are what we call Hunters. We find and kill monsters. We think your classmate Chrissy Cunningham was killed by a demon and Eddie Munson may be possessed by one."
"Eddie Munson isn't possessed by a demon and he sure as shit didn't kill Chrissy Cunningham. She was killed by a sorcerer called Vecna who resides in an alternate dimension that we call the Upside Down."
She could feel her friends' eyes burning into the back of her head and practically hear them scream, WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Sam and Dean stared at her like she grew a second head.
"You seem surprised."
"We are."
Y/N raised an eyebrow. "You two hunt monsters for a living, but an alternate dimension shocks you?"
Dean shrugged. "You got us there, Sweetheart."
"Only I get to call her Sweetheart," Eddie grumbled.
"Shhh." Dustin nudged the rowboat his friend hid in to shut him up.
"So," Sam said. "Do you know where Eddie is?"
Y/N opened her mouth to answer, but was stopped by Steve. He grabbed her arm and pulled her back.
"What are you doing?" he hissed.
"Maybe they can help."
"Help?" He ran a hand over his face. "You are making a huge risk!"
"We are at a disadvantage against Vecna without El. Two more people who fight monsters could be really helpful for us."
"So you're not just doing this because you think Dean is hot?"
Y/N glared at him, offended. "I would never put Eddie's life at risk for an attractive guy and you suggesting otherwise is extremely hurtful, Steve."
He deflated. "I'm sorry. You're right, that was too far. If you trust Dean, I can give him a chance too."
"Thank you."
She turned back to the Winchesters and welcomed them in, closing the door behind them.
Her friends stared at the brothers with caution. Dean greeted everyone with a nod.
"Eddie, you can come out now."
The Metalhead threw off the tarp and turned to look at the new arrivals. His eyes widened at the sight of Dean and his cheeks flushed red.
Oh shit.
Dean's face felt hot as he stared. No one has the right to have eyes that big or that brown. His stomach twisted with nerves and he clenched his sweaty hands.
Why is it that this small town in Indiana had two of the hottest people he had ever seen in his life?
Son of a Bitch, he thought.

A Steddie drabble.
A/N: I don't know...what this is....so we're just calling it a drabble. I've had Steddie brain rot lately (on top of the neve rending Eddie brain rot) and i just needed to type...so this is what became of that issue lol. Is it good? No. Did i need to get it out of my system? Yes. So enjoy...hopefully TW: Angst, Eddie doesn't act like himself, caregiver!Steve, smut, talks of scars, suicidial ideas, agruments
Eddie Munson had changed.
After surviving hell, literally dying, being resuscitated, spending months recovering and suffering, Eddie had changed significantly. His body was scarred – chunks of flesh being ripped left wounds so deep that there had to be skin grafted from other parts of his body. It was touch and go there for a few weeks. Those weeks, where he was left unconscious and secluded in a hospital room, chained to the bed as if he could move, was the most heart breaking sight Steve had ever seen. He spent all his free time there, watching over him as his body tried its best to heal.
And then one day, he woke up.
And he never was the same again. Physical therapy was hard. There were days his legs didn’t move right, he had to learn how to walk all over again. Frustrated tears were spilled, arguments with friends that were pointless. So many times he asked himself, “Why didn’t they just let me die?” He wanted out of this hell, mentally and physically. So many things had changed, but the one constant was the one he hadn’t realized cared so much for him.
Steve Harrington.
Steve, though not in much better condition, stayed by Eddie’s side the entire time. He spent his nights at the hospital, bringing Eddie food, and the hottest new movies to watch with him. When Eddie’s name was cleared, Steve was the first person Eddie told the news to besides Wayne.
Steve was the person Eddie called when the nightmares started. When he could still feel those demonic bats ripping his flesh apart. He called Steve in hysterics the first night, not wanting to bring a nurse into it. They’d just give him more sleeping medication and force him back to sleep and that was the last thing Eddie wanted to do. Being forced to sleep meant the dreams would come back...so he looked at the small black book kept by the phone in his room and dialed the Harrington’s residence.
And to his surprise, Steve answered on the second ring. And to his even bigger surprise, Eddie’s door opened twenty minutes later to reveal Steve, still in his pajamas and sleepy eyed. He crawled into bed beside of Eddie, wrapped a careful arm around his bandaged waist, and hugged him to him. It just came as a second nature to calm Eddie, as if it was the easiest thing to do because he knew what he needed those nights after his first encounter. And he never got it. Steve wasn’t going to allow him to go through any of this alone.
They’d been inseparable ever since.
When Eddie was released from the hospital, Steve was there to pick him up with Wayne tagging along. They kept it low key, telling the kids to just meet them at Steve’s house. The last thing they wanted was for Eddie to be heckled while still being so weak. They loaded him into Steve’s beamer, making sure to keep Eddie comfortable as they made the long trek back to Hawkins.
Eddie was quiet that day. Steve remembered seeing his eyes widen as he took in the aftermath of the destruction from the “earthquakes”. He wanted to drive through the trailer park, but Wayne told him he needed to forget that place ever existed.
“It’ll only bring back bad memories, boy.” Wayne said gruffly from the front passenger seat, “Place is dead and gone now. All of our stuff is gone...ain’t no place for us anymore.”
“My guitars…” Eddie said quietly.
“We saved ‘em,” Wayne nodded, “Lord knows you’d’ve killed us if we didn’t.”
Steve and Eddie shared a quick glance in the rear view mirror, a small smile shared. He wasn’t sure when the funny feelings in his stomach started when Steve looked at him, but he was almost sure it was around that time.
Eddie and Wayne settled in fairly quickly in the Harrington’s residence. Wayne still worked at the Mill every day, leaving Steve and Eddie alone in the big house. When Eddie’s legs were still weak, Steve would walk behind him, a supportive hand on his lower back. The walker he was sent home with didn’t always help like it should. Eddie would stumble, trip over his own two feet, and tumble to the ground. The first time it happened was in the main hallway, before Steve had removed the plastic runner that Eddie kept tripping over...the first time Eddie had to ask for help.
Steve had been in the living room, reading through some comic Dustin had left. Eddie was trying to get to the kitchen, but stumbled over the runner, and ended up face planting when his knees gave out from underneath him.
“Steve!” Eddie yelled after several times of trying to push himself up off the ground and failing. Frustrated tears fell down his cheeks. Within seconds, the taller man was squatting beside of him with a look of concern on his face.
“What happ-”
“Don’t look at me like that,” Eddie shook his head, quickly looking back down at the ground as he gripped the plush carpet in his fists.
“Like what?” Steve raised his eyebrows, “What are you talking about?”
“That,” Eddie spat, “Like you’re pitying me. I don’t need yours, or anyone elses, pity. You got that?”
“Eddie, I’m just concerned. Did you hurt yourself?”
“Just my pride...but I don’t think I have a lot of that left anyway.” Eddie whispered, feeling Steve’s arms slot underneath his shoulders and lift upwards. It was an easy feat – Eddie had lost weight these past four months. The doctors said it was normal, muscles atrophied and it wasn’t as if Eddie ate enough anyway.
“You sure you’re okay?” Steve asked once Eddie was standing up again.
“Yeah,” Eddie nearly whimpered, “Thank you.” Most days were bad days. Eddie was in a lot of pain as his wounds healed and he worked out the stiff joints. But when he had good days, they were the best. Summer rolled around and Hawkins was still in a state of disarray. But school being out meant the kids were constantly at Steve’s, begging to be in the pool or have a cookout, or camp out in the backyard. There wasn’t much for them to do, and Steve realized that as long as they were at his place, they were staying out of trouble. He could keep eyes on them...and he could use the help. Max, Dustin, and Erica would shop for household supplies while Mike, Will, and Lucas helped out around the house. Mowing, fixing the attic up - hell, they even repainted his fence. It gave Steve the time to focus on helping Eddie get better.
Which he did. Drastically. In no time, Eddie had built his strength back up in his legs. He didn’t use his walker anymore and the wheelchair he was sent home in had basically just been collecting cobwebs in the garage.
They were setting things up to have a pool party with the younger kids in the comfort of the backyard. Eddie was watching as Steve dug through his dresser, trying to find a spare pair of swim shorts for Eddie to wear. He handed him a pair from a few years ago that were two sizes too small for him and went to walk out to give Eddie a bit of privacy.
“Steve?” Eddie’s voice piped up from his spot leaned against the dresser, “...can I have a shirt, too?”
“Yeah,” Steve said, “But you know it’s going to get hot, right?”
“I don’t like looking at the scars,” Eddie shrugged, “They’re ugly.”
“Did you just call me ugly, Munson?” Steve asked, half jokingly.
“What?” Eddie’s eyes widened, “No. I didn’t say yo-”
“Because we’re both scarred, yaknow?” Steve shrugged as he pulled his own shirt up and over his head, exposing all the red raised skin on his sides.
“I don’t think you’re ugly at all, Steve.” Eddie picked at the edge of his shirt, “I just don’t like the way mine look.”
“Let me see,” Steve shrugged.
“You’ve seen them.”
“Yes, but that was with wound dressing and helping you bathe.” He shrugged, “I haven’t seen them since you’ve started taking care of the wounds yourself and I definitely haven’t seen them since they’ve healed.”
“Steve-”
“It’s okay. You don’t have to show me,” Steve shrugged as he walked closer to Eddie, his fingers ghosting over the fading scar on his cheek, “But I think you’re beautiful just like this, Eds.”
Eddie had a second to realize what was happening before Steve was pressing his lips against his, fingers meshing through dark hair and Eddie dropped the pair of shorts he was holding to wrap his arms around his waist. The kiss was intense, leaving both of them breathless once they parted. Eddie’s body felt like it was lit with a thousand fireworks, all of his nerves standing on the edge, his mind racing a million miles a second.
It all made sense in that moment.
He leaned forward, standing on his tip toes to kiss Steve again, pulling him against him as their bodies crushed together. The warmth of Steve’s hands roaming underneath his shirt, making that first skin to skin contact made Eddie’s mind explode and all he could think about was Steve.
That day was the first time in a very long time that Eddie Munson smiled with sincerity. He didn’t hate himself as much that day, he wasn’t disgusted when he looked at his reflection in the mirror. The red scarred skin adorned a few purple embellishments that day – proof that he found someone to love him for who he was and not what he looked like.
The next summer, when things had calmed down, Steve had proposed everyone meeting up at the local pool. It would get everyone out of the house and off their asses. They loaded Steve’s beamer down and along with the younger kids, set off for a day full of water fun. Steve sat back and watched as Eddie toted the towels and one of the coolers with ease, something he wouldn’t have been able to do last year.
His boy had come so far.
When they all got inside of the gate, Eddie straggled back a bit to make sure all the kids followed in the right direction. He didn’t want to spend most of the day chasing them around or making sure they were safe – if they ended up in the pool, that’s more than likely where they would stay. For a few minutes at least.
“Oh god, who let the freak out?” He heard come from behind him.
He was used to the sly comments made when he was sighted out in public. They had lessened some, but the memories were still fresh for everyone. He didn’t leave Steve’s house much due to the scrutinizing gaze the public still had for him.
“Can’t believe he’s not up Harrington’s ass currently. You know he’s his little night in shining armor.” Another comment was made.
Eddie swallowed the anger down. He wasn’t going to make a scene here, or anywhere for that matter, but definitely not here. Not now. He wouldn’t embarrass Steve and the kids.
Eddie caught up with the rest of the gang and sat down at the edge of Steve’s chair, quietly pulling his shirt over his head without thinking twice, jumping a bit when he felt two familiar hands slathering his back in sunscreen.
“You okay?” Steve asked quietly, leaning into his ear as he slid his hands down Eddie’s arms.
“Yeah,” Eddie nodded, “It was cold.”
Steve pressed a kiss to Eddie’s cheek and then was standing up and turning around for Eddie to rub the sunscreen on him, before he stole a quick kiss on the lips and then canon balled into the pool, much to the kids dismay. Eddie sat back and watched them play, feeling the warm sun heating his skin for the first time in months. He felt like everyone was staring at him, because they were. Every time Eddie looked up, there was a new pair of eyes staring at him. He felt as if his throat was tightening, his body screaming at him to run...and the old Eddie would’ve done just that. But he learned that running only made things worse – it only made him look like a coward. He felt a small bit of confidence when he looked up and saw Steve smiling at him, holding a hand out for him to join them in the water. He was just about to swing his legs over the seat and stand up when he heard the most embarrassing thing that’s ever been said about him.
“He looks like he’s half Freddy Kruger, half human.” The tallest girl said loud enough to where Eddie could hear it and he looked down at the red raised patches on his torso, cringing to himself as he felt the embarrassment tinge his cheeks. And then it came – the words he had been repeating to himself day after day. “Fuckin’ freak should’ve just stayed dead.”
Eddie slipped his tank top back on quietly and sat down in the lounge chair , pulling his legs underneath him – feeling as if he should just curl in on himself, hide the ugly scars from the rest of the world. They didn’t want to see him and he didn’t want to be seen any more.
“Eddie, come in!” Steve said, dodging a splash from Robin who was laughing maniacally as she thrashed around in the pool. “No, I’m okay here.” Eddie shook his head slightly.
He wanted to leave, but he didn’t want to ruin the fun, so he stayed like that, towels draped over his bitten scarred legs, keeping his arms in his lap to keep the towel from flying away. Steve watched him for a few minutes, trying to figure out what had happened. He was excited for the outing earlier, but whatever had happened changed not only his excitement, but it wiped the smile completely off of his face. Eddie didn’t even attempt to move from that spot on his chair that day. He pulled out a book and read quietly for the remainder of the time the gang was there, looking up only a few times to make sure the kids were all right. His fingers were skimming the pages when he felt Steve sitting down beside of him, his eyes moving to the left to see the concern on his face.
“What’s wrong?” Steve asked quietly.
“Nothing,” Eddie shook his head.
“Are you hurting?”
“No.” “Then what changed? You were so excited when we got here.”
“Just drop it, okay?” Eddie shrugged, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
“Eddie-”
“I said drop it,” his tone was gruff and a little louder than he wanted it to be. Some people turned to look at him and he swallowed thickly, the shame of yelling at Steve tinging his face. He placed a hand on Steve’s knee and squeezed it gently, “I’m sorry...I just don’t want to talk about it, okay?”
“Okay,” Steve nodded, “Okay.”
Before too long, the kids were saying how tired they all were. It was getting late, the sun was setting, and they were all out of the sandwiches they had packed. One by one, they dropped the kids off at their homes and soon it was just the two of them left in the car. They hadn’t really spoken since earlier, only sharing a quick kiss and a few glances. Steve was confused, silently wondering what had happened, until Eddie broke the silence first once they had pulled into the driveway.
“Do you…do you regret going with me?” Eddie asked quietly from the driver’s seat as he looked down at his lap.
Steve looked over at him, seeing the sullen look on the profile of his face. Ever since earlier, he had noticed a change in the other mans mood. His outgoing eccentric guy was quiet and withdrawn from the group.
“What?”
“I…I look different now,” Eddie’s voice cracked, “Guess I wasn’t much of a looker to begin with and now fuckin’ covered in these scars. A-are you embarrassed of me?”
“Eds, why would I be embarrassed of you? What happened? You were so excited earlier.” Steve frowned, reaching out to touch his arm, but just like before – like what they had fought to get over so many months ago, he jerked his hands away from him and shook his head.
Steve sat there in shock, watching as he opened the drivers side door and got out. He didn’t want anyone, much less Steve, to see the tears that threatened to fall and he hated himself all over again. Quietly, Steve slid out of the passenger seat and followed him into the house, barely dodging the door he slammed. He knew what was coming – ever since it happened, there were bouts of rage that left him a trembling seething mess. The doctors called it a head injury, symptoms of a major concussion – brain damage, and it pained him to see his usual sweet man so enraged.
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"No, fuck you." He said, his nostrils flared as he whipped around and pointed at Steve, “I don’t want to fucking talk about it. I don’t want to live this fucking nightmare anymore. I don’t want to deal with this bullshit. Just leave me the fuck alone, Steve.”
His name was spat like a insult, the anger elucidated on the shorter man’s face as he stared up at him screamed hostility, and deep down, Steve wanted to hide.
His anger was misplaced, and Steve knew that, but it still hurt the same to be cursed out by the same man that used to dote on his every move. The man that used to coddle him, spend hours on hours just cuddling with him and kissing him was the same man that was standing in front of him, shouting obscenities and cursing him for just caring.
“…you’re not my fucking mother!” he shouted so loud that the veins in his neck was protruding, “I’m sure you heard what was said at the pool. You’re just acting like you didn’t hear, just like everyone else does because they know whats being said about me is the truth. I shouldn’t be alive. You should’ve just fuckin left me down there.”
“Eddie, I swear I didn’t hear anything.” Steve said honestly, “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
He was leaning against the bar, his chest heaving as he tried to catch his breath from his outburst. He felt the anger dissipating and all that was left was guilt – guilt of everything. Surviving when so many others had died, dragging him into the mess with him, being so angry all the time. If he had just left Chrissy alone…
“I just want out,” he sobbed into his hands, “I can’t do this anymore. I can’t, Steve. I fucking cant.”
“If you’re talking about suicide, I swear to god, I’ll have you committed so fucking fast. You’ve fought too fucking long to even think of that bullshit.” Steve frowned as he walked over to him, “I didn’t hear anyone say anything, Eddie. You know I would’ve shut them down if I had. I love you too much to let anyone talk shit about you. We’ve been through too much for you not to know that.”
He walked closer, cornering him in the kitchenette’s corner and said softly, “You know I wouldn’t have ever went through all of that shit with you if I didn’t love you.”
He huffed and crossed his arms over his chest, fingers digging into his forearms as he looked over at Steve, brown eyes softening and his face relaxing. Steve was right and he knew it. He shifted his weight to his other foot and leaned back against the counter, looking past him to the other wall. He took a deep breath in and nodded slightly, slowly letting the breath out through his lips.
“I know.” He whispered, “I just...I just don’t see how or why you still want to be with me. I’m not...good here.” He placed two fingers on his left temple and tapped twice, “I’m fucked up.”
Steve captured his large hands in his own, bringing it down against his mouth as he kissed his knuckles. Eddie seemed to choke back a sob at the motion, never understanding how he could be so soft and caring even after he didn’t deserve it – didn’t deserve him..
“I’m sorry,” his voice cracked, “Fuck, I’m so sorry, Stevie.”
“Shh,” he quieted him, pulling him into a tight hug as he leaned against him.
He carded his fingers through his hair as he rested his head on Steve’s shoulder. He couldn’t even truly cry, not like he needed to anyway. He was so irritated that this was the outcome of his life now – hiding his body away, feeling worthless and unlovable. He hated it.
Steve tucked his hair behind his ear, seeing the faint scar that trailed from the corner of his mouth up to the edge of his ear. You had to squint to see the faint line, but it was there, and Eddie hid it behind his wild hair at all times unless he was at home with his boyfriend.
Those were the moments Steve fell deeper in love with him during. The times where Eddie didn’t feel ashamed, wouldn’t hide behind oversized clothing. He knew Steve had similar scars. He would often come in after work to Eddie lounging on their couch, hair pulled on top of his head in a scrunchy, chest bare to the world, only in a pair of boxers. And Steve could strip down, curl into his lap, and they didn’t face judgment from a cruel world who had out casted them months ago.
Those quiet moments outweighed the bad times – those quiet moments kept him going, made him keep fighting. He’d fight hell on earth, on any dimension, to see the smile put back on Eddie’s face. The smile he reserved for just him.
Eddie hadn’t smiled in a very long time – not at him, or anything.
He wanted to change that.
He scooped the rest of Eddie’s thick hair backwards, away from his face, exposing his neck in the process, ghosting the tip of his nose over the small batch of scars on Eddie’s neck until he reached his pulse point and placed a soft kiss to it. When Eddie didn’t move away, which was a miracle, he pressed his lips a bit harder and left a wet kiss before nipping the sensitive skin with his teeth, hearing the soft gasp escape Eddie’s mouth.
“What are you doing?” Eddie asked softly, still unmoving from his spot resting against his shoulder.
“C’mon, Eds.” Steve hummed, “It’s been awhile...ya know, we’ve been cleared for uh...rigorous activities.”
“I just showed my ass and yelled at you...and you want to have sex?” Eddie said, standing straight up.
“...yeah?” Steve laughed as if it was the most asinine question he had ever heard.
Eddie quirked an eyebrow up at him, as if he was waiting on a further explanation, so Steve gave in.
“I want you,” Steve whispered, his hands slowly sliding around his waist, down to rest over Eddie’s ass. He pressed his nose against Eddie’s as brown eyes met brown, “Even when you don’t want yourself.”
Eddie’s fingers slipped into the hair at the nape of his neck, pulling him further into the kiss. Their lips slotted together, tentative tongues meeting. He gasped as he felt Steve’s fingers squeeze into the flesh of his ass and pull him flush against him.
Five months had been a long time and Eddie was sure he was bound to fuck something up. He knew Steve – knew his body like the back of his hand, but they were different now. They didn’t look the same as they used to, they didn’t feel the same – there was new bumps and ridges to discover, new calloused skin. Eddie reminded himself it was okay to feel this way, shy and hesitant, but this was Steve, the guy he loved more than anything. They had shared kisses and intimate moments, but sex had been out of the question ever since the first time they tried after that faithful night in the upside down, that ended with the two of them a sobbing heap of bodies as they held onto each other. Seeing the mangled scars had been too much and brought back the fear of losing each other.
No more hiding, Eddie thought to himself as he slid his hand down Steve’s chest.
“Take this off,” he whispered as he tugged on Steve’s shirt, mouth still pressed against his.
“Yeah?” Steve panted, feeling Eddie’s wandering hand grope over his shirt.
“Please.”
They fumbled and tripped like two clumsy deer as they walked into Steve’s room. Sloppy kisses and rushed touches, stripping each other of their clothes as they walked. They fell backwards once their knees touched the mattress and before long, Steve was watching as Eddie situated himself on his hands and knees for him in the center of the bed while he reached for the bottle of lube he kept in his bedside table.
“Shit,” Eddie hissed as the cold lube hit his skin and he jumped, causing Steve to chuckle, “You don’t know how to warm anything up you’ve put on me today, do you?”
“Maybe I like to see you squirm,” Steve shrugged, sliding his fingers over Eddie’s hole.
“Mayb – fuck,” Eddie hissed, feeling Steve’s fingers slip inside of him slowly, shutting him up ultimately. He reminded himself to relax, take slowl breaths, the usual...but it was in that moment he realized just how much he had missed this with Steve.
Steve’s cock throbbed at the sight in front of him, his fingers being swallowed by Eddie’s needy hole. He slowly added a second finger, wanting to make sure Eddie was well prepared. His fingers brushed against Eddie’s prostate, sending a jolt through the smaller guys body, a needy moan slipping from his mouth.
“Stevie,” Eddie panted, his hand moving to grip his own aching cock as he pushed himself back against the two prying fingers.
“I know, Eds.” Steve mumbled, leaning forward to kiss the scarred tissue of his shoulder, “Feels good?”
All Eddie could do was nod, his eyes closed as Steve curled his fingers deep inside of him. Once Steve was satisfied, he withdrew his fingers, coated his own cock in lube, and moved closer behind him. Eddie arched his ass outwards, face pressed into the pillow as he felt the tip of Steve pressing into him. He would be lying if he said he hadn’t forgotten how much he loved this part. He pulled his bottom lip between his teeth, fingers digging into the sheets as the familiar feeling came back of the dull ache of being stretched open around Steve’s thick cock.
“Doin’ so good for me, Eds.” Steve said just above a whisper, eyes flicking back and forth between their bodies connecting and up to Eddie’s face
“Steve,” Eddie whimpered, moving one hand behind his back to reach for his hand, sighing in relief when he felt his fingers interlocking between his own.
Steve’s grip tightened on his hand, squeezing as if to show a sign of comfort. Sinking into Eddie for the first time in months nearly had him seeing stars, watching as Eddie’s hole stretched for him – fuck he had missed everything about this. The warmth, the way Eddie was so pliant beneath him, even down to the breathy moans and soft gasps.
“Yeah, baby?”
“Please,” Eddie huffed, rocking himself backwards, searching for more.
Steve couldn’t help the moan that escaped his throat as he slipped the rest of the way inside of him. His free hand gripped his hips, fingers ghosting over red raised skin that tingled with sensitivity. Eddie gasped as Steve jerked his hips upwards a bit, pulling him flush back against his thighs.
After a few minutes of slow, torturous, shallow thrusts, Eddie pushed himself up onto his hands and knees, scooting forward a bit before he turned to face Steve, who was staring at him in slight confusion.
“You okay?” Steve asked, his hand moving to stroke himself slowly as he perched at the end of the bed.
“Want to watch,” was all Eddie said quietly, moving to sit lay on his back and pulled Steve down on top of him.
A step forward, Steve thought. There had been times that Eddie covered the mirrors in their home, days he didn’t even want to look at Steve much less himself. And now...he was wanting to see everything. He slid himself back inside, watching as Eddie’s face tensed up just a bit. He wrapped his hand around Eddie’s cock, stroking him in time with his own thrusts as he leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips.
The change of angle made everything better – made it more real. Eddie threaded his fingers into Steve’s hair, pulling him tight down against him as he closed his eyes. He rocked himself against Steve, quiet moans filling the air, and before he knew it, they were both falling over the edge. Steve laid his forehead against his, slowly rocking his hips into him, riding out the waves of pleasure, as Eddie wrapped his legs around him tighter.
“You know you’re safe with me,” Steve whispered, “I love you, Eddie.”
“I know,” Eddie whispered, “I know.”

This is so old, I'm so sorry (and I have another one of these asks that I'm saving for when I get some other things finally drafted) but here we go, in no particular order:
Skylines, Cigarettes, and Second Chances (29k, 4/4 chapters, Mature, No Archive Warnings Apply)
"Immediately after that first, perfect kiss in the hospital, Steve had said, I don’t want anyone to know. That stung a bit, but Eddie gets it. Steve went on to explain that he wasn’t sure how he felt, that he was trying to figure himself out, that all he did know is that he liked Eddie. And Steve really does like him. Eddie can tell. So, he can live with it." OR Steve and Eddie get together after Vecna. It doesn't last. But when Eddie calls for a favor a few years later, they think that maybe, just maybe, they're worth trying for again.
I'm sure absolutely no one is surprised that I included this on the list because I have not been able to shut up about it, but I really like this fic! I'm really proud of it! Go read it if angst with a happy ending is your jam!
like a sack of bricks (18k, 1/1 chapters, Explicit, No Archive Warnings Apply)
"Eddie isn’t lucky. He’s obnoxious and smart and talented and a little too quick to snap back if threatened, but he isn’t lucky. At least, not until last week. Last week, he went with Chrissy to that stupid cowboy bar she loves so much. Last week, he ran into the hottest guy he’s ever seen in his life. Last week, he had the best sex of his life with said hottest guy, and he hasn’t even been ghosted yet." OR Steve and Eddie, continuing from that cowboy bar meet-cute. Featuring second and third dates, a good amount of jokes, some tragic backstory lore, drag queens, sheer ridiculousness, kinkier sex this time around, and Eddie going Through It (TM) before Steve makes it better. Or maybe the charm has everything to do with the bartender. OR The dom drop fic I've had in my head for months.
This is also another fic that deals with heavy topics, and I'm also very proud of it! Go read it for a bunch of jokes, ridiculous shenanigans, what is hopefully (in)decent smut, and emotional hurt/comfort!
Bragging Rights, Fancy Drinks, and the Bartender Conundrum (6860 words, 1/1 chapters, Teen, No Archive Warnings Apply)
"But, for some reason, this place doesn’t feel standard. Maybe it’s the fact that all the pictures on the walls look modern and aren’t filled with old white dudes holding cans of Bud Light. Maybe it’s the fact that the music, thank god, isn’t beer, truck, dog country or rock music that Republicans like. Or maybe the charm has everything to do with the bartender. Good god. Eddie thinks he might die right then and there." OR Eddie and the guys go to a new place in search of a trivia spot safe from frat bros. What Eddie doesn't expect is to become smitten with not one, but two of the bartenders who work there. Or so he thinks.
This is ridiculous, gender shenanigan fluff, and I was absolutely blown away by the response to it! Go read it if you like faceblind bisexual disaster Eddie, Corroded Coffin friendships and interactions, and badass, genderfluid Stev(i)e Harrington!
save a horse, ride an ex-jock (9835 words, 1/1 chapters, Explicit, No Archive Warnings Apply)
"Steve's eyes land on the mechanical bull across the place. It’s a stupid looking thing. There’s no way it’s safe. It’s white with brown spots, and Steve can see the metal frame where the paneling splits. Its dead black eyes are nightmare fuel. Eddie says, 'Bet I could ride it better than you.' 'Bet I could ride you better than you ride it,' Steve says. Filter? Gone. But he doesn’t mind. Because Eddie takes Steve’s hat. 'I’m sure you could, but me first.' Steve might not like this cowboy stuff, but he knows what Eddie taking the hat means." OR A metalhead and an ex-jock walk into a cowboy themed bar to support their favorite lesbians. Featuring mechanical bull riding, the more fun kind of riding, Steve's horndog inner monologue, and way too many jokes for what was supposed to be just smut.
This is also ridiculous, and it started as a complete and utter joke with some light bribery involved to get me to write it. Go read it if you like cowboy jokes, silly sex, Appalachian Eddie Munson, and Steve being a bit of a slut (affectionate).
what's in a name, anyway? (4823 words, 1/1 chapters, Teen, No Archive Warnings Apply)
“On good days, Steve sees his name as a gift from a well meaning but distant relative, like an ugly sweater that doesn’t quite fit. On bad days, he hates it.” OR Five people who call Steve by his full name, and one person who never does.
This is pretty far into headcanon territory, but I really enjoyed writing the POVs of various characters. Read if you want Steve-centric angst, Hopper, Joyce, Nancy, Robin, and Dustin POV, and some Steddie fluff to balance the whole thing out!
