Hi hello everyone :D🧡

So a while back i made a post about Cybertronians witnessing humans being feral when in fight or flight response or how humans act when we are on adrenaline in general because i really like this idea. But hear me out- :D

Protective, scared and angry human = very scary human

We all have this natural need and drive inside us to protect. Wether it's the person we love, family or friends. I myself am very protective when it comes to anyone i love. I would throw myself in front of a bear if i had to. Or i would fight anything and anyone if i had to protect the people i love.

Now imagine if the human was the size as an average cybertronian: (slight warning for blood at the end)

The Lost Light got under attack by the infamous DJD and everything goes to shit so quickly no one has time to react as the deadly members tear through the ship and with Tarn having one goal in mind and that was to find Megatron. His optics burning with lust for killing him. Eventually he finds him and they both fight together. The human is watching this from the security office locked in with other members of the Lost Light. They all watch in horror and worry as they both fight. But Tarn doesn't play fair. As Megatron gets knocked by him the other bots notice as the human's breath quickens, their frame is shaking a bit and their teeth are tightly gritted together. Their protective drive has woken up.

Enough is enough..

You know what Megatron did..but no one has the right to take away someone else's life..especially someone like Tarn...Megatron was almost like the father the human claimed to never have..

As the human turns swiftly to unlock the door the other bots try to stop them but the human is determined and full of anger and adrenaline as they push past the bots who are taken aback. The bots are not fast enough as the human is already sprinting towards the scene where everything was happening. So many thoughts and emotions ran through them as they sprinted..anger, fear (you know because it's still fucking Tarn)

But no they aren't backing away now.

As they round a corner they barely make it in time because Tarn was already aiming his canon at Megatron.

The human suddenly jumps in front of Tarn and they srunch their nose and bare their teeth at him, their arms spread over Megatron. Tarn stares in disbelief and then he chuckles. You may be the size of a cybertronian but you're still a fragile dumb human.

"If you want him..you're gonna have to go through me first.."

As the human growled no one wanted and couldn't believe what they were seeing and hearing back at the security room on the cameras. Thats it the human has gotten crazy. NO ONE would do a thing like this. It's like you were asking to be killed. It's the DJD.. Even Megatron's expression almost changed to bewildered and wide eyed.

Of course the human got a good beating from Tarn but there was just something in them. This weird wild look in their eyes as blood dripped down their forehead into their eye and down their chin. Scratched and battered with at least 4 broken ribs they still stood with determination. Tarn was enjoying this but it was getting frustrating and on his nerves. Tarn is deadly and strong but the human was agile and quick. As Tarn was about to finish Megatron once again (because he thought the human was finished) they once again threw themeselves in front of him with this crazy look in their eyes and the next words rang out in everybody's ears.

"Over, my, dead body..."

The human was shaking, growling and huffing slowly loosing their strenght but reinforcements were quickly arriving and the DJD was in disadvantage so they had to fall back but of course Tarn would be back and would take the human with him the next time.

And this is how i think bots view this :3

From the cybertronian perspective:

The bots, often more concerned with survival and the war’s toll on their world i think would most likely react with shock. Tarn is a fanatic Decepticon who enforces ideology without mercy, would represent the last person they’d expect a human to stand against. They might interpret the human's bravery as foolhardy or even reckless, given Tarn’s terrifying reputation, but they may also see it as a powerful symbol that courage and conviction can transcend size and power.

From Tarn's Perspective:

I think Tarn, who worships Megatron’s original vision and detests any deviation from it, would be utterly incensed. The idea of a human—whom he views as nothing more than an insect—intervening to protect Megatron would enrage him. He’d view it as an ultimate insult to Megatron's legacy and to the Decepticon cause, likely intensifying his resolve to destroy them both to "cleanse" this offense.

Alpha!simon x f!Omega!reader

Simon not knowing how to treat omegas, not in the traditinal way, he just take them when he need stress relief after a shitty mission.

So when he was told that they specified him a mate, he was confused. They weren't supposed to meet and sign documents in one go. The bound was often not done properly, and omegas were always harmed duo to the lack of attention from their alpha. Thats why they wanted to go back to the old ways. courting.

Courting process start with alpha presenting gifts to omega. and what can our boy buy for her? They were never met, nor given any idea of what she can possibly like.

So the only thing he could think of was one of his old hoodies. It wasn't tattered or torn, but it was clear he'd been wearing it for a long time. The black fabric had taken on the shape of his body, the slight stretch from his large bicep and massive chest, and most importantly, his scent all over it.

He didn't even think about how much it might scares her. Make her feel unsafe.

He always wore it when he was on leave. All of his thoughts, rage, worries, and negative feelings was remained on his hoodie through his scent.

And the size of it? a huge alpha with twisted mind.

The next phase of courting is basically dating. And after months, they start the third phase, chasing.

But since we dont have enough time, they are going to skip the second phase and go straight to chasing.

Usually, after sharing some time together, they become more familiar with each other's scents and can react better to them. But they haven't meet yet, so it's going to be more like a predator and prey then chase for bonding.

Clearing the base, they let the omega walk at the hallways and leave her scent every were, then release the beast. She must run and he must follow, but he freezes after smelling her sweet scent. dumb-struck, excited and aroused.

Like i said, simon don't know shit about tradition. imagine his sweet omega looking around, waiting, confused about what is going on, what should she be expecting but the alpha is nowhere to be found , she doesn't even smell anything to indicate that he is near.

Desperate, she decides to go back to her room and call Laswell. Explain what happened, maybe they can try again later. But the closer she gets to her room, the stronger the familiar -yet not-so-familiar- scent becomes. When she reaches her door, she realizes that Instead of following, catching and claiming her, her alpha has come towards her room, marked out a considerable radius with his own scent wall to prevent any alphas from getting close to her.

The only "mentors" merlin had where a dragon, that had been imprisoned for morethan 20 years. And a old man, that had been walking on eggs for more than 20 years too. They were shit at giving advices, yeah but. Its understandable at some point.

Mordred becomes court sorcerer because arthur thinks merlin is not powerful and everything (in a worried way not in a disposed way). Merlin is not jealous, he doesn't care about titles, actually he do like his job, its just about the irony of the thing. Mordred is so so confused.

He does his job amazing, he uses magic and its okay at doing it. When no one is looking. If someone, thats not gaius, is looking, he hardly can do.

Ok, its my post, i like mordred, im gonna put my thoughts here.

Au where mordred was the one who changes arthurs mind about magic. Like, arthur is watching mordred, the one he know has magic and is a druid and asks him if he stills do magic and mordred thinks and chooses honesty and says "to make a fire when noone is looking" or some non harmful thing. And Arthur is like "a sorcerer can be a Knight, im shifting the law". And he shift the law and Merlin is like, was is that easy? *Mental breakdown * meltdown *burnout*

The thing is: it wasn't just because of mordred, like, Arthur's kingdom has been kind w the sorcerers already, not having burned a lot and no one in mordred presence, because arthur is a kind king.

And th thing is how mordred and merlin lived different lifes while in camelot, ya know. Even through mordred has heard stories and lost friends and family to camelots fire, Merlin lived in it.

Merlin, he is extremely suspicious about mordred coming out as sorcerer to arthur (because he is suspicious of mordred), he thinks maybe its a trick, to bring evil sorcerers to kill arthur, something, he even debates w arthur if shifting thelaw is the right choice. He feels awful about his position, but he cant process that everything is alright, he is so suspicious about everything and so scared arthur might put himself in danger.

He tells arthur he has magic after he lift the ban. Arthur is so confused because of merlins position about the law, but he is fine w merlin. And merlin islike "im gonna to protect u i promise, im super powerful", of course he cant prove he is powerful because this whole post.

Ok, so you met Larry At school in your art class. It was your first day, and you arrived around halfway through your guy's freshman year. You were seated next to him and it did not take long for yall to start up a conversation about the work yall were doing, then I progressed into chatting about music, hobbies, jobs, games..etc Only a couple of months in, you guys were practically inseparable. Something about you just clicked in place with him, and on the plus side, you and Sal also became friends during this time frame. You three kinda become a little trio for a while (cause the others weren't really close with them yet), and it was going really well until you started developing feelings for Larry. You told Sal about it pretty quick, and he was honestly just like, “Yeah, I already know. What do you wanna do about it?” Mr. Fuckin problem solver over here. Jk, but anyway, Sal is the single friend who everyone goes to for relationship help (same), so he tells you to basically just go for it cause he has a hunch that Larry might feel the same. (He knows for a fact cause Larry doesn't shut the fuck up about you, and as much as Sal loves you guys he can't stand it anymore lmfao) Now, while you are just starting to figure out your feelings, Larry's just settled in his by now and has been scoping you out to see if you feel the same before he makes a move. The dude does not like rejection, so he will not say shit until he's at least 85% sure he has a chance. Sal does hint to Larry that you have a thing for him just so that y'all will get this over with, but don't worry, he doesn't fully give you away. But with his hint, Larry was able to piece it together, and then it was on. You guys had already had a plan to meet at the park the next day and Larry decided that he was gonna tell you then. Funny Enough you had the same idea. The next day you both met up at the park. You All did normal stuff, Like messing around on The playground equipment like children, eating food you got from the gas station, smoking a blunt inside the tunnel, and basically just having an amazing time together Once the streetlights came on, you had to go home though. So Larry offered to walk you as it wasn't very far. You guys confessed to each other in front of your house. It was nothing fancy, and it was quite funny in both of you guys' opinions, But to make a long story short, you were honestly gonna pussy out and just go inside until he stopped you. He explained how he felt, and he didn't seem very nervous at all (he was scared as fuck inside). He just spoke calmly to you with a light smile on his face, and when he was done, you honestly didn't know how to react, almost thinking it was a joke or something. How would they approach the brothers about it, would they hide it, how would the brothers react, you know.

You absolutely tried to hide it at first. How could you not?

Bo wasn't exactly... understanding about that kind of thing

I mean, you've seen how he acts with Vincent sometimes and thats his own brother. You don't want to imagine how he'd treat you if he knew...

But you knew the longer you went without your prescriptions, the more difficult things would get

It started small. Your moods would change randomly and very drastically - one extreme to another or you'd have trouble sleeping or oversleeping or - your least favorite - you'd lash out at one of the brothers for seemingly nothing

Bo noticed. He didn't say anything about it because he assumed that, if it was that important, you'd tell him

So when you had a full on meltdown on the kitchen floor one afternoon, he was blindsided

He had no idea it'd gotten this bad and, unfortunately, his first reaction was to get mad at you. He yelled at you, tried to get you to pull yourself together. After all, if you had been suffering, you would've told him! Right...?

It's not until your crying abruptly stops that he realizes he fucked up. You shut down on him, near catatonic as he tries to apologize

He's scared. And when he's scared, he lashes out. You know that. It still doesn't make it hurt less

The brothers agree that there needs to be regular trips made so you can get your medication. Lester offers to take you since he's the one who goes to town the most anyways

You and Bo get into an argument about it once or twice because he doesn't understand why you wouldn't tell him

His heart breaks a little when you tell him you didn't think he'd believe you or would look at you differently for it

He reassures you that no, never. He totally understands the moodswings, the angry episodes you have, those things

Once you're on your meds again, you two promise that if anything major like this happens for either of you, that you can always lean on each other

Bo takes time getting there but he grows to understand you and figure out how best to help you!

VINCENT SINCLAIR

You tell Vincent pretty early on that you need medication

While you don't give him many specifics as to why, you tell him that life will be better for all of you if you keep taking them

At first he's a little apprehensive of letting you go into town so Bo goes with you to pick it up

Not because he doesn't believe you! But because he's scared you're still trying to escape

He wants to know what they're for so he's not above snooping around to read the labels

(You'd tell him if he asked but he didn't know that)

The amount you take surprises him and he tries to think about what you're like off them, in a morbidly curious way

He is, however, insistent that you're taking them consistently and without interruption. Vince makes sure you take them every day and gets on his brother's cases if they give you a hard time about it

They're not cures though. You both find that out the hard way when he finds you trembling in the corner of his shop like you were in freezing weather. The panic attack was violent and took you by surprise but Vincent holds steady

He sits with you, humming soft melodies to try and ground you

When you're ready, he hugs you and you just break down into tears. You'd never wanted him to have to see you like this, you don't want him to think you're some fragile china doll who can't take care of themself

But he would never see you like that. You explain that, while the meds make them less frequent, you're not cured completely

Things will slip through the cracks sometimes and that's okay! He'll always be there when you need him

When he catches you scratching yourself anxiously, he buys you gloves and makes sure you keep your nails short

He catches you picking at your face and gets you small bandages you can place over the spots so you don't obsessively pick

Vincent is always doing little things to try and improve your quality of life, even if you're taking medication!

LESTER SINCLAIR

You don't really tell him but you also don't hide it from him either

He notices you taking pills every morning and every night and is able to put two and two together

Probably asks you what they're for once you two have been dating for a bit but it doesn't really change much in your relationship

He's relatively chill about it though and offers to take you into town to pick up your meds

Likes to hoard pills for you so you never run out - it's an irrational fear of his but you think its sweet

Whenever you get sad, Jonesy and Lester are both right there to comfort you however you need

Sometimes, when the bad thoughts get too loud, Lester catches you staring vacantly into the bathroom mirror or out windows and he worries

One night you wandered out into the woods, barefoot and freezing, just because you felt so out of touch with your own body

Everything felt fake and floaty and you just needed to be out somewhere harsh and grounding and real

You love Lester, you really do, but there, in the forest all alone, all you could think about was how empty you felt

He finds you early the next morning and he was clearly worried sick, still in his sleep clothes with just a flashlight and an anxious Jonesy

Once at home and warm from your shower, he pleads with you to talk to him about it

You finally spill about how you've felt completely dissociated from yourself, even with all the meds you're taking, and it just got to be too much

He gives you a hug and you both agree to try and find other ways to shock you back to reality that don't involve you wandering into the forest at night

Turns out, an ice cube on the back of the neck works wonders to snap you out of whatever stupor you've found yourself in!

Lester is as involved with it as you'd let him. Never ashamed or afraid to lend you a hand with anything!

basically what happens in his brain is that after he finds out hes the cause for the dog man incident his perceived worth to dm goes into the negatives and he finds No way for his worth to ever become positive . theres no point in becoming overly subservient bc nothing he does is ever going to compensate for what he did . and also more than that since he fully believes that dm doesnt like him he thinks that dm would prefer it if he stays away . so at its core his avoidance is still an act of service on his part 😭😭😭😭

i reckon theres no event of him avoiding dm around the house bc he just does everything in his power to make sure he doesnt bump into him while hes home . aka leaving before he wakes up and coming home after he goes to bed . so yeah he just throws himself at work .

ultimately its not like a one and done fixed situation after the talk . but dm just asks him to come home earlier and spend time w him bc he misses him . he makes a point to mention lp and say that if he cant come home early for his sake then at least lps . bc pts avoidance was also cutting his time w lp short .

i reckon dm kinda steps out of his comfort zone and tries to be more explicitly affectionate js so petey doesnt get lost in hs head thinking dm hates him . and he makes a point to say that his forgiveness is ultimately his choice and that its not fair for petey to project his own self hatred onto dm . just. long healing process i reckon . 💔 but yah

The world was just beginning to fade into a hazy blur of warmth and background noise coming from the TV before the rumble of thunder outside your family home brutally snaps you back into your current time. 

You shift below the blanket you and your husband like to share to snuggle up closer to him, hand in hand with your arm pressing against his until each of you notice how warm the other is. He begins to dip his head until you can feel him resting against your shoulder, and his scarred, unoccupied hand begins to wander below the blanket until it finally rests on your thigh. “It’s not too scary, is it?” he whispers to you, certainly not referencing the storm roaring outside. The branches knocking against your window and the rustling of leaves rustling over your yard couldn’t bother Ethan less as long as he knows you’re home and holding onto his hand.

He seems more so interested in the cheap horror-flick the both of you chose for tonight’s movie night. Despite the questionable and outdated special effects, you can see his body do little twitches and sharp intakes of breath whenever an actor is jumpscared along with the audience, reaching for the popcorn bowl in his lap so he has something to hold except for you. While his eyes were glued to the screen with his knuckles resting against his lips in a subconscious effort to soothe himself, you couldn’t help but drift off a little. Your eyelids are heavy after a long day of work, and napping against your partner would’ve been a dream come true if it weren’t for the ongoing thunderstorm. Lightning strikes once more outside, close enough to be audible, and not long after you finally muster up the energy to respond with “No, it’s alright, love…”. Truth is, the both of you enjoy trashy movies, even more so if they’re meant to scare you but end up making you laugh instead. You’ve only been so quiet because you’re actively fighting the urge to fall asleep against Ethan, especially now that his head is on your shoulder. 

Right next to your ear, Ethan hums in response. “I don’t know about you, but… this movie isn’t it.” He begins to mumble, shuffling closer to you on the couch, if that is even possible. By now, there is a whole third of the couch unused. “I don’t know… I guess B-class acting lost its appeal.” He explains, huffing out a little laugh at his own comment. You respond with an affirmative hum of your own. Before you can react, his face is buried in the crook of your neck, his cold nose pressed against your skin. Another minor detail to keep you awake, just what you need.

His hands begin to wander again, bumps moving across the blanket where his hands glide until you finally feel one of his palms on your stomach, then both of them wrapped around your waist in a loose hug. The wind howls loud enough to be heard over the TV by now - good thing you have a DVD player. The both of you could’ve gone to bed right away tonight if you relied on streaming services; the internet bid its goodbyes an hour ago, not long after the rain started. You probably wouldn’t have noticed if it weren’t for Ethan’s curses coming from his home office. No emails, no text messages, and there haven’t been any calls either. It really is just the two of you, now that Ethan’s boss can’t nag him.

“I’m getting tired, handsome…” he finally admits, and you can feel a smile stretching his lips right against your skin. Here, he feels safest, and you do too. “I’m not sure if I can last much longer. You?” You only respond with another hum, shrugging as far as Ethan’s body allows you. “Alright.” he whispers in response. “Let’s just… try to finish the movie. If we can’t, we’ll continue tomorrow.” You could also just go to bed right away, but it is way too comfortable to stand up right now, and the both of you are well aware. It feels like Ethan only wants to finish the movie tonight to have an excuse to stay pressed against you, to spend time with you… not that you mind.

A scream comes from the TV’s speakers, which has been happily babbling by itself for the past few minutes. “Thank god, finally.” Ethan breathes out as both of your heads turn towards the screen, eyes still drowsy. “I knew it. I’ve been waiting for this fucker to get offed since the beginning of the movie… christ he was annoying.” He says, partially muffled by the blanket around you two as the annoying character in question gushes bright red on screen, spraying and splattering in ways only liters of fake blood can. “Not sure why this guy is a fan favorite. His decisions are nonsensical, and now that things get serious, he runs? Yeah, great. leave the group behind. Way to go, dumbass.” While you can’t help but find your spouse’s half-hearted complaints and sass endearing, you’re too tired to respond by now. You only smile in response, readjusting your arm so it's wrapped around Ethan now, your hand close to his hip. You adjust the blanket so it covers his legs properly before you close your eyes, letting the dialogue and gentle buzz from the TV together with the rain pattering against your window take you under. The last thing you notice is Ethan’s wedding ring gleaming in the light coming from the screen.

It doesn’t take long for him to catch onto it. He chuckles as the movie’s hero almost comically fails to escape in every possible way, and as he turns to see your reaction, he finds your eyes closed instead and your lips curved in a satisfied smile. He lowers the TV’s volume and puts the remote and empty popcorn bowl down on the couch table as quietly as he can before getting himself more comfortable. He kisses your forehead goodnight, his cold lips barely grazing your skin to avoid waking you before he slides lower on the couch, curled up against your side with his face almost completely hidden by the blanket draped over the two of you. 

The credits begin to roll as only your soft snores and the rain can be heard. It’s dark by now, and if it weren’t for the people listed in the credits and the occasional car driving through the mud outside, Ethan could swear you’re the only people in the world right now. It doesn’t take long for him to fall asleep, counting sheep replaced by the TV counting down the seconds in a little pop-up to know when it will shut itself off to save energy.

If it were up to him, he’d spend all day pressed up against his man like this, soaking up the heat emanating from his body and listening to his breathing slow down, overshadowed by the rain and Ethan’s own pulse in his ears.

Papa V: saves him the trouble of asking you to dress up for him. he's always been blunt about his tastes but introduces them slowly so you don't get scared off or overwhelmed. sits back with a drink (you know that one pic of tobias we were all frothing over where hes got his arms over the back of the couch and someone said something abt crawling to him? very that) and tells you to put on the dress. now take it off. now put it on again. take it off, but even slower this time. that's good. good boy. now come here (maybe he's got some spare dresses from the old days he can dig up, hm?)

how to convince the ga that byler isn't rushed (kind of just a rant about lettergate)

they need to and i mean NEED to vecna mike because the only way the ga will understand that byler has been built up since the beginning is if we’re given scenes in context. we as bylers obviously get it but byler is at risk of being labeled “too rushed” if they don’t put effort into referencing the important parts of mike’s feelings developing.

the audience doesn't really have a problem with believing that will is gay and in love with mike because there are things in his arc that are just obvious and clearly point to that.

but mike on the other hand is in the middle of a love triangle. unlike most of the other main characters, mike isn't open about his feelings. we don't get his internal monologue. he doesn't tell others how he's feeling. thats why its so easy for bylers and milevens alike to interpret his every move in either direction. it's purely because we don't know. so, in season five, there are things they have to address and give concrete meaning to so that people understand how byler actually does make sense.

the most important scene that i’ve already kinda talked about to do this is...

this one, obviously, the most important little part of all of byler's season three. i want vecna talking about this. i want mike thinking about this. it’s crucial. it’s essential. his behavior here is weird as hell! it even reads weirdly in a script that was released and then edited quickly after. it's important and it needs to be addressed and treated as such. in the script (forgive me if i'm off, i don't have a copy of it so this is from memory) it reads as "what's wrong with me?" that obviously points our way, but since we don't get his internal monologue there's no way to be sure. it needs to be addressed.

this is also kinda lettergate proof because i think the unsent letters and the fact that mike did try to call will also be essential to proving what was going on with him during the gap between season three and four. if i were in charge of the show, i would do a whole flashback sequence to these six months. i want to know exactly where he is, what he’s doing, what he's thinking, how the people around him are reacting to his behavior. we need a shot of the love, mike. it's SO IMPORTANT.

one thing that REALLY scares me about lettergate is the possibility of them reddieying us. yes that is now a verb. for any of you who never had an it 2017 phase, reddieying is where richie and eddie, two characters, had feelings for each other but never admitted it. at the end of the movie after eddie dies, we get this scene:

this is what i like to call reddieying. and yes that is also finn wolfhard. this is why we are scared.

the letters could be used in a VERY similar way if either mike or will dies to express the love that they both once had for each other. closure of sorts. i think that would be VERY poor writing (we've all heard my theory about how mike's love for will is literally essential to the ending of the show) but i think it's highly possible especially given the overlap between it and stranger thing's fandoms. the letters could be read at the end in a similar way to the way hopper's was, sad heroes and all. this draws another parallel.

the crafts mention really surprised me! i had contemplated a few different scenarios in how they'd go about it, and i'll be honest i feel like they could've committed to the bit a little more but they're forgiven. like what about glitchy interstitials! cuts to the merch website. found footage inserted between sections! i recognize they don't want to 'scare' their usual audience wirh sudden cuts to intense/graphic content but my immersionnn. absolutely shattered by 'oh we have new merch now btw'. cmon boys you love to lie to us. say theres merch up but you dont know where it came from. just that we should buy it 👀 or idk, something clever. and i recognize i may sound like a spoilt brat bc i just got a 14 minute long masterpiece of an unexpected dapc revival, but my immersion. i mean i already bought the merch before they shilled it anyways so it didn't influence me regardless 🤣

ultimately we really are in a new era. even beyond just the revival. i think they're really finding their stride--not only in their content (evidenced by a semi-regular schedule) but also creatively, in doing what they want to do, how they want to do it, and truly not giving that much of a fuck anymore. and i'm really happy for them. phil talked a bit about this in his 'rating my icons' video, where he's kind of decided he doesn't care what people on twitter think, and how it's been good for him, and i think we're seeing that reflected in not only his content, but also the gaming channel. they play what they want. they say what they want. and it's just fun. dan going on the record to say he's really enjoying it makes me so happy to hear, because literally december 2022 he believed he'd disappear after WAD. and now, instead, he gets to play games and make stupid jokes and smile and laugh multiple times a week, and he's really happy about it. he gets to be silly and goofy and crude without having to Stress about it. i keep saying it but they're so settled now. and as someone who's followed them through big changes and turbulent times, getting to see them happy after everything... it brings a lot of hope. and i know theyre millionaires. but there's something to looking at someone you fell in love with 15 years ago the same then as you do now. but instead of it being something scary, something you have to hide, something that feels like it can consume you and everything you have--it gets to be something beautiful. and regular. and embraced. you've read this far you get to listen to me wax poetic about them.

The Evil Queen x Lover!Reader || Drabble

Plot: Pretty boring 😅 Just a moment alone with Hilda. Oh and you've been listening to too much English politics.

Warnings: Cheating (The King is alive here), and talk of real historic people and events (Tudors).

The sounds of the door creaking open and the rustling of a dress wake you up from your dozing rest. Luckily you weren't fully asleep; you were still above the covers. You had been reading a few books late into the night, those pages still open around you on the blankets although your candle went out sometime after your eyelids fell closed.

Hilda closes your creaking door shut again behind her her own candle burning bright beside her face, before moving over to the bed and sitting down beside you. Her soft lips find yours in a warm, soft kiss that wakes you up the rest of the way; her tongue drawing out a soft, sleepy moan from you.

When her lips separated from yours, you followed her and sat up; picking up her hand that wasnt still holding up the candle, in both yours. "... What are you doing still awake?" You ask, stroking your thumb over her knuckles.

She rolls her eyes, the irritation in every muscle of a her body clear now that you were fully awake. "The King's killing me."

That startles you, and your eyes widen. "-what???"

Another venemous green eyeroll, and a huff. "He's so stupid, so doting on that airheaded child of his, I cant take it."

Oh thank god, you think, relaxing again. Doesn't she know you're on edge these days, what with all that's happening in England with that crazy Tudor King right now??? She must know. She must say these things to scare you. Shaking your head, you give your royal lover a bemused grin. "Do you know what you just did to me??"

A smirk quirks at the corner of lips, but only for just a second before she shakes her head and makes it dissapear. "Nevertheless- I can't sleep in that bed with him."

"Well you can't sleep here, love." You say, incredulously. "I would love you to- but how do you think servants will react when they see their beautiful, dishevelled queen slipping out of her ladies room in the morning?? Imagine the rumours, Hilda."

"Oh, that I'm a filthy witch queen who kisses women?" Another amused smirk slips across her red lips, and this one stays put. The candle lights her face up in soft orange and the pretty, comforting crackling sound fills your ears.

"Yes, which is true, which is the most damning kindof rumour. Just look at England right now." Your voice raises a few decibells, filling with worry. "Anne Bolyn was beheaded, because some people said she had an extra finger we both know, Hilda, that she didn't have- "

"Yes, Y/N, but my husband is a weakling."

"-and then he divorced poor Anne of Cleves because she wasn't as pretty! And she's beautiful. Are you hearing me Hilda?? These King's are crazy- "

"English politics are truly bothering you, aren't they."

Embarrassed and sputtering, you try to deny that, but can't, and close your mouth. Hilda gives a chuckle at this. "Thats it, no more English politics for you, dear."

"What? But- "

"No."

You sigh, lowering your face and looking to Hilda's hand in your lap. Not a wrinkle or age spot to be seen despite passing her 30's years ago, thanks to her creams and tonics.

"... and I will be staying here." She tells you, a no-arguments-thank you kind of tone in her voice. The softer sister to the dangerous, stern tone she uses in court with everyone there. Carefully she leans past you and sets her candle on your side-table, atop a few more books on topics such as dangerous flowers, teas all over the world, and ancient histories. Then she hooks a cold finger under your chin and raises your face to look up at her; speaks in a low whisper. "Isn't it your job to keep your Mistress happy?"

"... " Finally you give a sigh; giving in to her. To hell with the rumours that might spread. You want her here; you want her to stay. "Well yes, your majesty. Thats true."

After another kiss, the Queen quietly starts going through the books strewn about on your bed. You began reading again, occasionally showing Hilda something interesting. Half an hour passed this peacefully, until Hilda says something supposedly 'off-hand' that causes you to thrust your book down back onto the bed.

"... oh, and I probably shouldn't tell you now that the newest English queen has been imprisoned for adultery, should I- "

"The c h i l d?? Oh for gods sake. Should we be d o i n g something about this??"

There's a lot of symbolism and parallels this episode to animals and what they mean to humans. Tw for talks of animal death.

Throughout the episode, we are reminded that Hughie had a cat named Jar Jar, clearly a beloved pet that as a nine year old, he didn't want his pet to be put down. I don't think Hugh was trying to blame Hughie in anyway of letting the cat suffer, I actually think because of the way Hugh views Hughie, he sees this forever child, someone he can't disappoint anymore than he has already been disappointed. He didn't want to go against his son's wishes, but because of this he exposed him to something more gruesome, essentially he caused more harm than good.

Hughie at first, wanted his father to live, just like Jar Jar the cat but of course we see that he changes his mind. He decides to respect his father's wishes to pass away before lore damage is done. Daphne takes the V, gives it to Hugh, because similarly, she sees a young boy she disappointed all those years ago and also doesn't want to cause more harm to him...which results in a gruesome mess that causes more harm than good.

Animals when they near death are scared, confused, they can change drastically in behaviour, it's one of the main signs that something is wrong. The way Hugh reacted throughout the entire episode, looking confused, terrified of everything, not wanting to be touched, not knowing his own son, like that of a dying animal.

And then Hughie makes the tough choice to, in a way, put his father down, like you would with a pet. He comforts him with words, his father is confused (while it's a peaceful death for animals, its also going to be confusing and scary for them as they don't know what's going on).

What's interesting is that sometimes animals aren't always out down because they're sick, but it could also because they're dangerous and we all know that a lot of animals are going to act on instinct. Biting a person is a big cause for putting dogs down.

It's funny to see how Hugh never wanted to be like Jar Jar and so he gaves power to the person who caused him to become that scared cat and yet the person who he didn't think could do it, because he still saw that nine year old boy, was the one to make that tough choice.

I don't think Daphne or Hugh are bad people by any means when it came to this decision (and I mean in this specific scenario obviously Daphne is not the best person on the world for her abandonment of her son but thats for another day-) but they needed to stop viewing Hughie through this child victim lens, like he can't ever grow up from that one traumatic event from his past.

I might make another post on the farm animals, herbivores, becoming carnivorous after being pumped full of a drug that made them go against their very nature, but I need to do some more thinking on the symbolism and meaning of it all (if it even has one).

I also think it's worth mentioning the connection of the worm inside the rabbit and the one inside Butcher, like a parasitic worm that both humans and animals get.

also thinking a LOT about these two panels bc,,, not only bc i really like how he looks in the second panel here, but also,,, well as i was reading this i hadnt realized that lloyd would be going off by HIMSELF to the mountains,,, i thought javier would go with him (bc he always does,,,)

i talked abt this when i reacted on twitter but like. javier asks if he's going by himself and lloyd goes "yeah it's fine" and javier doesn't question it, we don't see him objecting or anything,,, bc of course, lloyd will stay safe. that's what he says, so that's what'll be true. javier is also perfectly aware that lloyd can't be harmed by monsters, he's a sword master and has his singing. so the knight lets him go, bc this is a lloyd with a plan, and javier trusts his lord. but also it seems like javier doesnt really realize what exactly it is that lloyd is subjecting himself too. idk if he realizes that every time lloyd freezes time THATS whats freezing his heart; all the knight knows is that lloyd is dying, but the engineer has a solution so surely it's okay (it's not, lloyd is DYING IN THE COLD). jesus fuck

okay i was gonna end the post there but i scrolled back up to review and realized i forgot to actually explain why i am excited for more alicia lloyd scenes so that's gonna go here now i guess LMFAOO

i really really hope that alicia and lloyd have a closer, more quiet moment to talk about their respective lives and history with losing loved ones and feeling isolated as a result. i WAS gonna talk abt that in a dedicated alicia post but i guess itll make a cameo here too lol

bc if u think abt it, suho and alicia both went through very very devastating losses. they both lost the lives of the people who cared for them most, and in very very tragic ways (suho's parents committed, and alicia's parents were slaughtered / alicia's brothers put her in a 'kill or be killed' situation). it's really unfortunate, it's life-altering, and it follows you,,, and then the isolation that comes after that makes it all even worse.

of course, we see suho very explicitly going through throes of isolation through endless work, endless school, and the sheer struggle to just survive to the next day by himself, with no family to support him. obviously, we don't see alicia explicitly having this experience, but i think it'd be reasonable to believe that after the death of her family,,, it was just her. she lost her parents and her brothers, and now she's the only one with the magentano name, and you can't exactly have an empty mantle now can you?

she probably didn't really have anyone to talk to about this. probably just a bunch of old coots on that board of nobles, who have to help her with this "being queen" thing, u cant exactly talk abt ur trauma to people who are technically working for u, who care more abt their status in the kingdom than anything else. and at such a young age, too... like yeah she's surrounded by people technically, but how many people around her actually care for HER, and not for her new status as crown princess? and then as queen? like no wonder tyrant alicia comes to be because of a betrayal from kyle, no wonder she's worried abt letting lloyd into her heart. she's probably been worried about betrayal from a loved one all her life bc of what her brothers did,,, that must be so isolating, and lonely.

so yes, i think alicia probably went through a long bout of isolation, too. and i think alicia and lloyd should Talk about it and have a heart to heart and go "jesus fuck we went through it,,, but we have found people we can rely on. and isn't that wonderful,,," and then alilloyd will have a wonderful leg to stand on yay

i WOULD go on longer about alicia in this rant but i wanted to save it for the post i was planning,,, i couldn't help myself this time though, bc it seemed relevant LOL

Ill give his more miscellaneous details for the funsies!

Aiden is Chilean! Hes Trans and Bisexual :oD

Aiden loves his garden! He likes to talk to them and give them the best he can give!

That includes his upstairs garden, where he houses his poisonous and carnivorous plants (these are his absolute babies, but don't tell the others!)

And above all is his pitcher plant, Chamomile! They are about 6 to 7 feet tall but acts like an absolute baby to Aiden! They are VERY protective of him and finds it funny to pretend like shes gonna eat his guest, but he wont!

Aiden loves taking notes on his plants, how they digest, what they like to eat, everything he can learn! That goes for his neighbors too! He likes to be well versed and so he'll scribble notes on his neighbors so that he doesn't forget! Mathew calls it creepy, Aiden calls it being a good neighbor and friend!

He hardly talks outside his garden, most of the neighbors for a long while (lets say months even) didn't hear his voice. Howdy was the first to hear him talk and that was during his deliveries to the Bodega!

Howdy is really the first one Aiden gets close to before he talks to Wendy and the others! He supplies Howdy with his harvest as soon as they're ready!

As a funny I like to think Howdy chews on Aidens leafs when he's not paying attention or even funnier that Howdy plucked a leaf from him and thats how the neighborhood found out about his leaf growing back on top of his head!

Thats another thing!

If you pluck the leafs from Aidens hair, one will grow at the top of his head! Pluck that one, the other two come back ^^ pluck one side and the top one will still grow! Keep plucking and Aiden will trying running away!

Aiden is very strong, he carries those crates of fruits and vegetables by himself after all! Him and Eddie jokingly arm wrestle!

Mathew is only scared of making one neighbor mad and it's Aiden! Something about not wanting to be fertilizer to his freaky plants?

Aiden does not like sweets X, he likes fruits! And hell like a pastry if its subtle in sweetness. But sugary stuff are a no go! He likes savory and spicy in fact!

He also loves climbing and hiding around, hes not the fastest at running around but hes agile!

He does not know how to swim ><

He knows how to cook! His drawings are... not the best! Ha-ha!

The flowers in his hair react with him! When hes very happy, they bloom and sprout petals! When hes upset they lower! And when hes in a real bad mental spot, theyll wilt

This also slightly apply to his leafs! His leafs will wilt and when hes angry, I like to imagine they fray ><

Aiden works very hard, he hardly takes breaks! He can sleep standing up! Which is very funny when you happen to his garden and see him standing there motionless with a hose at night!

He likes to stare but only when no one is looking! You look at him and hes avoiding eye contact.

He has a hard time registering emotions within himself and others. But he tries real hard to be a good friend so he often airs in the side of caution. With that, he has a hard time saying no if you need his help, even if his hands are full ><

Oh! And he can speak spanish!

His favorite color is green and his favorite fruit are strawberries, pomegranate, and mangos!!

I like to represent him with either strawberries, or pomegranates in terms of fruit ><
