If I was a cartoon character I think my default outfit for me in this era of my life would be my wine-red turtleneck and brown tweed blazer and high waisted dark wash jeans … which is also basically how I drew myself in my meet the artist self portrait… but also I think it would work as character design conveying my vibe of defaulting to teaching/leadership in a group setting. I will lecture given any opportunity. But also it’s a bi serve and I will be overdressed <3 and you get a little contrast with the heinous goofy shit I will say in relaxed circumstances

#also why do so few piccrew have a blazed option #blazer option like turtleneck and blazer is a look of all time #yes I do imagine myself as a cartoon character sometimes bc I need to day dream and have my self insert have an outfit #real life cartoon character behavior is that I own at least 6 red-purple turtlenecks and 5 more shirts in that color range #and I will wear them all the time #and to me I notice the difference but to others it’s like Holly is in the same sweater again

finally at that age where i'm thinking i should get a tattoo. not bc i feel strongly about it, just seems like a waste not to. i've got so much skin i'm not using

#feels so selfish like. all this skin what am i saving it for?#open to design suggestions! (please make me regret this offer)#maybe some deep sea horrors. a pretty watercolor of a gulper eel #once saw a person on the subway with various Skeleton Tattoos on all their limbs #i respected their commitment to the theme #but more than that i respected how all the skeletons were engaged in Activities #dancing in a ballgown. juggling its own (and two other???) skulls. swordfighting. being a mermaid skeleton #ANYWAY. the only reason i haven't already gotten tattoos is i just couldn't be bothered #i'm old enough to know i don't have any strong-but-potentially-temporary feelings driving me towards it #aesthetically i prefer decorated to non-decorated surfaces. but i'm not artistic or thrilled with commitment #honestly it feels like sheer laziness. indecisiveness--nay. immaturity!--that i HAVEN'T gotten a tattoo yet #letting all this blank canvas go to waste. tut tut i need to grow up and be an adult and get a tattoo sleeve already.#really i've put off my responsibilities long enough #(in fairness i DID at one time have 18 different piercings)#(but i took most of them out bc they interfere with wearing headphones and/or shoving my face in my pillow during Sleep Time)#(i only kept the nape piercing bc oddly enough it ended up being the most convenient. and the least painful to get now i think about it.)#(neck piercing? no problem. normal pair of earrings? My Sam & Max cosplay I debuted at a local con during the weekend!

#wasnt wearing leg padding in these so sorry sams a bit skinny #sam and max #cosplay #crunchchute art #my art #i could remake the pants and jacket entirely but that would be quite hard actually. i suck at making jackets especially #so those are just thrifted and edited #lots of color differences that bug me but. oh well #pants and jacket arent that different but its noticeable in these pics #as well as maxs hands and feet. theyre slightly lighter as the fabric i used is better quality #but i ran out of the stuff i used on his body etc and i couldnt buy more from that store as they took their sweet time shipping the stuff #oh well. didnt make them for a competition so its okay #im my own biggest hater and my own biggest critic #at the end of the day i made a handful of people really happy and thats all that matters to me #gotta share them every chance i get as i usually just make a cos #wear it to the con and then put it on the shelf #but im too happy with these to just hide them away after #they need a good scrub and after that id like to bring them to another con. next main goal is viecc but thats just a maybe right now

#sars cov 2 #covid 19 #i've interacted with 4 different friends/acquaintances in the past month alone who have all been hospitalised after having a stroke #(and in one case multiple strokes)#one who i visited in hospital over the weekend had a (unmasked) nurse coughing up a lung in her room 👍#and one of them who had to undergo surgery also had to be moved to a different hospital #bc the ward they were keeping him in was full of confirmed covid patients 👍👍#idk how many times it needs to be said before it gets through people's heads but VACCINES ARE NOT ENOUGH #and encouraging ppl to rely solely on them when there are already plans to jack up the prices so you have to KEEP PAYING for boosters #for an ONGOING mass-disabling event is so laughably unrealistic and absurd and flat-out demonic #you need to mitigate the actual spread of covid by WEARING A MASK + fighting for CLEAN AIR/proper ventilation in public spaces!!!!!!#ppl are so eager to forget the whole 'break the chain of transmission' thing and how effective masking is and so this is where we're at #'i got infected and infected other ppl who might die or become permanently disabled but it's no big deal bc no one else wears a mask #so if /i/ didn't infect them someone else would have anyway so it's not my fault and really its got nothing to do with me and my choices'#if everyone is responsible then no one is responsible - that's how it works right?#it's no wonder some ppl go rabid at even the sight of someone wearing a mask and minding their own business #ppl seeking treatment for unrelated conditions/illnesses and then dying from covid caught in hospitals #due to lack of npis/basic mitigation measures - no regulations no accountability #we truly live in a hell (''new normal'') of our own making #anyway none of this is new news at all i mostly thought it might be good to share the info graphic abt signs of stroke #covid has been given free reign and chances are increasing as to how likely you'll encounter it happening to someone you know at some point #also heart attacks and pots and alzheimer's etc etc etc
