I have a lot to do and not enough energy to do it just yet, thanks to holidays and a backlog at work. Have I always been this tired, or have I forgotten? A riddle to solve in this new year. (No idea how i survived the last one aside from being a vertebrate cockroach)
Anyway, I still don’t know what I’m doing when it comes to Linocut, so I need to walk myself through the print process like I am a toddler. At least the plate looks nice at this stage?
Hopefully I can get back to regularly sketching at the very least. It’s been a journey.

I cannot stress enough that Murderbot should look like the kind of video game NPC you would happily kill. It should look like the gijinka of something you lower your horns and charge from behind to knock off its feet for gems in Spyro.
Like one of several someones who get mowed down satisfyingly in a stairwell almost as an afterthought in a movie’s extended action sequence! A goon! A MOOK! what is this waif business
#and it makes unguarded soap opera facial expressions and probably has a hint of the screen in its delivery#when it isn’t speaking from buffer#id kill for an audiovisual treatment where everyone else conspicuously talks in an unforced normal unedited foundfootage register#and murderbot is out here in that (stupid) low rolling masc Screen Presence voice Declaiming. not car commercial voice. the scifi one#and speaking in perfect scripted chunks#however uncomfortably or unwillingly#AND ANOTHER THING it wouldn’t look young either!#Its presence is supposed to command automatic respect#That thing should look at a MINIMUM fully adult and full-framed#I keep seeing twentyish still-growing-looking ones#if anything the short king surgery should make it look even more bulldoggy#If it’s going to look young to invoke specific culturally tragic connotations of strapping young persons being relied on to do violence#it would look BEEF YOUNG.
