Ganon omegaverse 3
Fandom: the legend of zelda
Warnings: omegaverse, male reader, Zelda isn't good in this
🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑🌒🌓🌔🌕🌖🌗🌘🌑
(name) wasn't sure what to do, with these new freedoms he previously lacked back at Hyrule Castle, Ganon letting him wander around the palace AND THE CITY! With guards of course but still! He wasn't allowed to leave the grounds back home... Well he supposed this would be his home now.
That was something to get used to, things he was noticing back with his sister that left a sour taste in his mouth...
Why did she do what she did?
Why did she lock him away the way she did?
(Name) didn't know if he would get the answers he wanted to know or at least honest ones...
"Over the years we have expanded the town, it's not as big as Hyrule Castle town but it is impressive on its own" a guard explained as she showed him around the merchants row, before the palace entrance that surprised (name) at how accessible it was "unlike Hyrule Castle, we firmly believe the people should not be barred from visiting the palace-- of course there's times where it's not possible such at night but closing the palace from its people seems unreasonable to us"
"We believe in transparency to the people, of course they can't go anywhere they want in the palace but they are welcome to visit the throne room or see the public areas with the understanding of respect"
(Name) was fascinated by this information, the palace he knew was very closed off and from what he knew, very different from the rest of the kingdom in terms of wealth, the valley was much more forgiving and attentive to their people.
Zelda was a good queen, he knew this but he also knew she often focused on her own adventures and left the responsibilities to her second in command.
"There's so much I must learn..."
"And you will in time, you will have the rest of your life to learn" (name) nodded as he was slowly brought to the private dining area, unlike back home it wasn't stiff and cold, regal still but it felt....warm.
There was a low table with many bowls and plates with delicious looking foods as Ganon waited for his fiance to join him "how was your day, my star?" Ganon had grown to call (name) pet names, my beloved, my star... Many sweet words that made (name) flustered, his body warm with each sweet word.
"We went throughout the city today, one of the vendor ladies gave me this! I tried to pay her but she refused, she said "a gift to our future queen" the piece in question was one the made Ganon nearly blush, it was a fertility amulet.
"It looks very lovely on you" Ganon said as he led the Omega to sit in his lap, the Hylian dwarfing in comparison as they began eating, (name) finding he quite enjoyed spicy foods that the desert offered "try this!" Ganon already knew what all the foods presented tasted like but gave into his mates whims, eating the food presenting "very good, my love" his words rumbled through (name)s body, Ganon liked having his omega perched in his lap, so small and cute...
Ganon liked having (name) accompanying him during his royal business, include him on things and let him know how things worked And have an intimate knowledge in Ganons life.
"Our trade routes should alternate to this come winter months" Uberosa pointed to the map, an alternative map to get to the Bazaar "the merchants coming from the east have been notified through notices at inns and ranches" she explained as (name) looked curiously at the large map "This will also be the route we take for the wedding, I assume?" The concept of the wedding was both nerve-wracking and exciting at the same time, to think they should have been married for much longe...
Ganon gently pumped out pharamones as to calm the Omega, knowing he was nervous about his sister but Ganon knew she wouldn't try anything as to not disrupt the peace.
Going to war with the Guredo was a death wish after all.
"The wedding will be held at the temple of time now that it's been restored" Uberosa pointed to the map and (name) seemed excited, having never gotten to see it repaired.
Ganon worried (name) would grow bored when Ganon had to leave him, but the Alpha was pleasantly surprised to see (name) helping the teachers with the pups, the little girls wanting (name) to play with them the second they saw him as he was the only Voe outside of Ganon himself who they were allowed to look at, omegas were always deemed safe to the Guredo people.
"He will make a fine dam, brother" Uberosa said as Ganon gazed from a window, a soft look on his face "he will raise wonderful children if they get his attitude... God help if they turn out like you" the elder teased as Ganon huffed with false annoyance "he will be wonderful"
"Any word from the princess?"
"She's been quiet, she made many people upset with her actions and is most definitely doing damage control" he said methodically and Uberosa laughed slightly "she could have started a war, thankfully her brother is less selfish"
"His priority is always those around him, like a true Omega"
"You better spoil him to make sure he cares for himself"
"I already have things on the way"
Ganons clothes were going missing, mainly his shirts, thankfully he had an abundance due to needing to change from the heat.
Something Ganon took notice of was that (name) hadn't started nesting while here, weeks passing and the Omega seemed nervous when offered nesting materials "I-im allowed...?"
"Why wouldn't you be allowed, little one?" Uberosa asked the other who bit his lip, Ganon having a bad taste in his mouth as (name)s words confirmed his suspicions "w-wouldnt it be an inconvenience? I'm a royal Omega, it's unsightly for us to nest, no?"
"(Name), nesting is a basic instinct for all omegas, it doesn't matter what status you are, not nesting can affect your physical and mental wellness" Uberosa knelt down to the sitting Omega who seemed uncomfortable "I... I just don't want to inconvenience you all with my Omegan problems..."
"You have never and will never be a problem to us" Ganon was serious as he was half ready to start war over this but knew better, soon (name) will never have to deal with that again, he would be free to do as he pleased.
It took another week for (name) to try and make a nest, shy and nervous about it though happy Ganon gave him a spare room connecting to the bedroom "such a beautiful nest my Star" Ganon comforted (name) who looked at him for approval, his mood something new to Ganon compared to the others he was used to "we will get you even more nesting materials if you desire" he would have the finest materials sourced for his mate, anything for him.

It’s not what it looks like!
Tumblr media
Well, ok - it kind of is but it also kind of isn’t.
I didn’t watch Andor when it came out but apparently this scene (link at the end) caused a bit of a stir at the time as the ‘first sex scene in Star Wars’. Hmm. Well, you don’t actually see the sex bit so it’s more accurate to say that it’s a scene where sex is ‘very heavily implied to be about to happen’ as someone put it, a little demurely, on X.
So yes, in that sense - it’s exactly what it looks like. But there’s so much more to it than that, because this scene is absolutely packed with story-telling richness in a way that just can’t be appreciated from seeing it out of context. Which is why I am kind of promising myself that I’m no longer going to try and predict anything about Season 2 based on trailers etc.
The storytelling richness turns a ‘sex scene’ into something so much more, and this explains why it’s here at all - Tony Gilroy seems to be the last person to indulge in ‘fan-service’ of this kind. It’s all about what it’s telling us about these characters and this situation. Two things feed into that - the background information that we’ve gathered so far and what’s actually unfolding in the narrative.
Tumblr media
Background: Timm and Bix are co-workers, but she’s his boss. They’ve been dating for an unspecified period of time, but it’s implied to be pretty recent: they have apparently agreed to do something together ‘one night a week’ and Timm earlier suggested ‘starting the week tonight’ with dinner in a way that almost implies that they haven’t gone further than that. More speculatively, this very cautious approach seems to come entirely from Bix and suggests a cautiousness about committing too hard, too soon. Meanwhile, Bix has a secretive working arrangement with Cassian, a man who is one of her oldest friends, a kind of sibling figure and also - crucially - something of a serial ex. Gilroy tells us that she’s ‘done with him’ by this time because he’s ‘burned every last bridge’ even though they’re ‘meant to be together’. Cassian turns up to conduct some kind of business with Bix (and we know it’s about providing stolen parts for her to sell on to contacts such as Luthen) from which Timm is deliberately and pointedly excluded. We don’t know if Timm and Bix have even discussed it, but what we do is that Timm is both jealous and suspicious, noticing that Bix “seems upset…” and that this “always seems to happen whenever you come around”. Add to all that, Cassian seems to have a low opinion of Timm anyway, as revealed by their brief confrontation in Ep1 (‘you need to find yourself a less complicated woman… good luck with that!’ - all adding to the shady-ex vibe). Cassian also has a reputation as a womaniser, with a particular predilection for those already in a relationship (Bix’s quip about his ‘fall’ being on a ‘jealous husband’).
Tumblr media
Timm thinks his suspicion is justified as soon as he sees what Bix had been reading
Then there’s the actual plot as it stands at this stage. Cassian, desperate to get enough credits to flee from Ferrix, meets up with Bix in a bar. She’s done him yet another huge favour, and has called Luthen ahead of her usual schedule. By this time, the Pre-Mor bulletin asking for information on a ‘Kenari Human Male’ has been issued and Bix knows Cassian is yet again a wanted man. She doesn’t know when or if she will ever see him again, even if he manages to get safely away. In gratitude, he puts his hand on hers. Timm, drinking hard and spying on them, sees this and jumps to a final conclusion. We will find out in the next episode that Bix had told him Cassian was born on Kenari.
Just after Timm leaves, Bix pushes Cassian’s hand from her own. Perfect ironic timing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If only he’d stayed in the bar another ten seconds… bad timing, Timm With Two Ms :(
Timm betrays Cassian - and by extension Bix - by calling PreMor. He then goes home, sits in moody silence and broods. Bix apparently continues drinking for a while offscreen and then comes to Timm’s door.
So to the sex scene. The obvious immediate point is that as soon as he sees her Timm must on some level realise his mistake. In his typical love of irony, Gilroy even has Bix say “Is it too late?”… oh boy, yes it certainly is for Timm. And he obviously knows it. He knows the relationship is doomed. The end result of that is that he looks so unenthusiastic at the sight of her that Bix picks up on it immediately and looks hurt and depressed at a perceived rejection. ‘No it’s just … I’m surprised!’ Timm tries to cover. Which is also true, but not in the way he wants her to take it.
The obvious irony is that he’s probably been dreaming about this moment for weeks, maybe months, but it’s all just so … disappointing, because of what he’s just done to betray her trust. As for Bix, she doesn’t want sex for the ‘usual’ reasons. And she’s not particularly enthusiastic about Timm or making any real effort here to make him feel genuinely like he’s the man for her. Her whole attitude smacks of ‘having to make do with the consolation prize’ in combination with ‘looking for comfort’. In other words, Bix seems to be using Timm to ease her depressed mood in a way that’s genuinely unusual in these gender roles.
Tumblr media
Yikes. Really not what you want to see when you wake up… your lover fully dressed and staring at you.
So it’s a sex scene that is not particularly sexy, beyond the obvious visual image of Adria Arjona starting to undress. OK, yeah, that’s kind of attractive by default I suppose if she floats your boat, but if you’ve seen her in ‘Hit Man’ you’ll know what she’s capable of when her characters choose to really crank up the sensuality dial. Honestly, there’s absolutely no chemistry between Bix and Timm at all in this scene. Her two conversations thus far with Cassian were about a stolen piece of equipment but there was so much sexual tension and angsty subtext between them I vaguely remember indulging my occasional childish habit of yelling ‘Get a room!’ at the screen the first time I watched them.
Tumblr media
In summary, it’s a very unsexy sex scene, where ‘going through the motions’ barely begins to cover it. But the broader point is - there’s absolutely nothing on the screen in this series that is not there for a meaningful story-telling purpose. And I will try and keep that promise not to attempt to glean anything from Season 2 trailers. Yeah, I know - ‘good luck with that’.

Safest with You (Ch. 7 - The Third Date)
5.3K / Modern AU Retired Mob Enforcer!Din Djarin x fem!Reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Din takes you to see a prize fight, and the evening does not end the way either of you expect.
Warnings: Fluff but also Angst, pet names as usual (pretty bird, baby, pretty girl, etc.), descriptions of blood splatter, mention of alcohol consumption, men (not Din) harassing reader at a bar, very poor description of boxing by a person who knows nothing about boxing (me.)
A/N: I'm...sorry about this 🫣 Our (first!) chapter with angst; oh my feelings - we will get through it together? For some levity, while I'm trying not to be too heavy handed with the Star Wars references, I did have a lot of fun plopping in some character names from The Mandalorian to make up Din's rag-tag group of mob enforcer friends. Picking a Hutt to insert was another story - I tried to pick a name that (exists and) fit into the scene, but I'm not married to it; if upon reading you think another Hutt family character's canon characteristics are more fitting, please let me know and I'll change it! Thanks and thanks as always for reading!
Tumblr media
Series Masterlist
“Ok, hang on, I gotta let Rory into the meeting.”
The mosaic on the screen shifts, and Rory appears in a new tile, “I can’t believe it’s a Saturday and I’m taking a Zoom meeting.”
“Stoppppp. It’s for the greater good – please help me pick an outfit,” you plead with an exaggerated pout.
“You never ask for fashion advice?  We’re always asking you.”
“Ok, thank you for hyping me but for real I need help.  I’m going to a boxing match!?  Movies and pop culture tell me that every woman there is either wearing a bandage dress or a bikini and I’m not wearing either,” you step back to show off your bed that’s cover in heaps of clothing options.
You’re nervous.  Not because of anything Din’s said or done, and not even because it’s the “third date” (not as if you and Din are following any type of out-dated dating script), but because you’re stepping into Din’s world tonight.  So far, you and Din have been dating in a blissful little bubble, just the two of you (and Al!), but tonight, you were going to meet the people closest to him, his people.  When you had confessed your nerves to Din earlier, he had affectionately told you he was proud to be bringing you as his date tonight; you didn’t want to let him down.
In the end, you and your friends opt for a white, off the shoulder silk shirt, loosely tucked into a silver skirt.  The shoulder cut-out of the shirt drapes purposefully low down your arm, revealing the entire strap and more than a little of the top of your lacy black bra chosen especially for Din.  There, you think, it’s not a bikini, but it’s sexy.
Din couldn’t agree more.  Your little lingerie peek-a-boo is nearly all he can think about at the restaurant and the entire cab ride over to the fight venue.  A few times during dinner he might have lost his train of thought mid-sentence, teased mercilessly by that small triangle of lace and the ample curve of your breast that isn’t contained within.  You blush and smirk at his barely concealed drooling.  Now in the cab, Din has his arm draped around you, and you let him absentmindedly toy with the exposed strap; periodically he slips a finger or two under the strap and slides it down as far as your innocent looking white shirt will allow, then back up again.  You can feel your nipples harden against the soft lace, and by the time you step out of the cab, you’re flushed and your core is already fluttering.
You take Din’s arm and walk with him towards the entrance, still somewhat nervous; Din senses your hesitancy and not used to seeing you withdrawn in any way, he pulls you aside before you get to the main doorway.
Holding you close, one hand lingering on your lower back and the other cupping your face, he gives you a long, deep kiss, meant to be soothing.  Opening your eyes and you murmur, “Just one more, please”.
“One more?”
“One more minute.  One more kiss.  While it’s still just the two of us,” you explain, wistfully.
“Pretty bird, we don’t have to go in.  Just say the word and we’ll go somewhere just you and me.  It can be just the two of us for as long as you’d like,” Din gently strokes your cheek with his thumb and gazes at you with sincerity brimming in his eyes.
Reaching up, you bring Din’s face down to yours and kiss him tenderly.  You want to let him know you’re okay.  You’re nervous, but also somewhat excited to see this world that’s such a big part of Din’s life, and the idea that he wants to include you and introduce you to his friends is actually so touching.  You nuzzle into your favourite little nook right under his jaw, and whisper, “Let’s go in.”
Din takes your hand, and holding on tightly, leads you in to the building.  It’s already insanely busy inside, filled with people here for the fight; as you thread through the crowd, even in the dim lighting, you hear lots of people shouting Din’s name – waving hello, clapping him on the shoulder as they go by.  Din leads you through a side door away from the bustle and takes you down a quiet side corridor; you’re about to ask where you’re going when you see some people up ahead wearing “Mando’s Gym” gear.  In the center of everything, there is an older gentleman in a colourful striped sweatsuit, and a young man, who is wearing baggy grey shorts and a loosely tied warm up robe; you recognize the younger man as Din’s sparring partner from the day you visit the gym after dropping your dry cleaning off at Peli’s.  Din is greeted enthusiastically by both men with big hugs; he claps the younger man on the back and introduces you, then, his voice filling with pride, brags, “Pretty bird, this is Jimmy.  Best middleweight division fighter this side of the bridge.  One of Mando’s best.  And our tireless chief, head coach, Greef Karga, the best of the best.”
You shake their hands happily, and they in turn seem happy to meet you as well; you think you spot them giving each other a knowing look, but it was so fleeting you’re not sure.  Regardless, you enthusiastically wish them luck and let them know how excited you are to be here. When he hears it’s your first fight, Greef tells you you’re in for a treat and gives you some novice spectator pointers – in particular, he tells you to watch out for a move call the “Mando Roll”, a move made famous by Din during his career.  Din hypes Jimmy up with some pep talk and some light combination drills before he takes your hand to go; you wave goodbye to the two men and wish them luck one last time before asking Din, “The Mando Roll, eh?  Didn’t realize I was here with a celebrity.”  You grin at him proudly, and Din’s chest puffs up a little but he responds humbly, “Nah.  Don’t believe everything you hear about me here.  Especially from Paz.  Don’t believe a thing Paz says.”
As if on cue, you come upon the man himself, who seems to be waiting for you and Din so you can all walk to your third row seats together.
Paz is hilarious.  He has a deep booming voice, and a boisterous spirit about him; he’s huge, bigger than Din, but in the same way you don’t find Din’s size to be imposing, neither do you find Paz’s.  He regales you with childhood stories about Din and tells joke after joke, all the while pretending to ignore Din’s protests and looks of mortification that honestly make everything Paz says even funnier.  He doesn’t forget to ask you questions about yourself, and your heart melts when Din chimes in to brag about you when he thinks you’re not doing so enough yourself; Paz looks impressed before he gives you a mock look of condescension, “You sure you’re with the right guy?” jabbing his thumb at Din.  You look up at Din fondly and nod softly, “Yes, definitely.”  Din can’t stop looking at you either, eyes filled with adoration and, if he’s being honest with himself, maybe love.  When he pulls you in tightly, Paz gives him a look and nod of approval, which Din didn’t need, but finds himself appreciating nonetheless.
The lights dim and the fighters’ ring entrances begin; you cheer loudly with Din and Paz when Jimmy goes by, looking pumped and intimidating.  The first few rounds of fighting go by in a blur; the fighters move with blinding fast speed, unleashing powerful punch after punch – it’s violent and graceful all at once.  Both Din and Paz are pointing things out to you, teaching you boxing terminology and noting finer points on the bout that you definitely wouldn’t notice otherwise; when the bell dings signaling the end of a particularly intense round, Paz turns to you, “Did you see that last move, with the bob and weave?  That’s the “Mando Roll”.  Your boy invented that!  It’s what’s going to win Jimmy this fight, you just watch.”   You look at Din, who’s got a cocky smile on his face, even though he’s running his hand through his curls, bashfully.  Your eyes shine with pride; you knew from the articles and awards at the gym and his apartment that Din had been a talented and successful fighter… but tonight you’re seeing for the first time that it was more than that.  He’s an important figure in this community, a leader with a legacy… just like his dad.  You make a mental note to share this thought with Din later; for now, you hope he can tell by the expression on your face how proud of him you are. And how proud you are to be here with him.
If you thought the excitement and intensity of the fight would die down a little in the later rounds, you were mistaken; if anything, the crowd gets rowdier and louder, amping the fighters up more, even though they have to be exhausted.  Nearing the end of round 10, Jimmy gets the upper hand against his opponent, drilling him against the ropes before stepping back and delivering a knock out uppercut.  This last punch happens as if in slow motion; Jimmy’s opponent’s feet leave the ground as the force from Jimmy’s glove propels him backwards, body twisting slightly before he falls to the ground unconscious.  Before you’ve finished processing what you’re watching, you’re hit with the losing fighter's blood splatter.  Most of it lands on the people sitting in the rows in front of you, but a fair amount lands on your shirt and you can feel a bit of it on your cheek.  Instinctively, you touch it with your hand, accidently smearing it.  Din looks at you in horror but gathers himself quickly to ask you with deep concern if you’re alright.  You have to admit, you’re not sure how to feel, but you let him know you’re okay with a reassuring smile before asking him to point you in the direction of the restroom so you can clean up.  In the restroom, the droplets that landed on your skin are easily and thoroughly cleaned off, but your shirt is a bit of a mess.  The delicate silk is splattered in a big, almost Pollock-esque pattern; you decide to leave it as is, figuring you’ll probably just turn it into a bigger mess if you try to clean it here.
You get back to your seat as Jimmy is being declared the winner of the fight in the ring, and you’re glad to see that his opponent has regained consciousness and is standing up of his own accord.  You cheer as Jimmy’s arm is raised as the victor, but notice that Din doesn’t appear to be joining in the reverie.  In fact, he looks downright despondent.  Taking his hand, you give him a soft, but quizzical look and mouth, “Everything okay?”
No. Everything was not okay.  Din had seen a lot bloodshed in his life, hell, he had caused his fair share, but he's never become desensitized to the underlying violence.  He was not prepared for that type of violence, bloody violence, to touch you.  In the second before he had realized where the blood splatter had come from, all he saw was you covered in blood, and he had felt nothing but intense panic and fear.  And maybe, a little voice in his head adds, guilt. Even now, he is reeling from those feelings.  He doesn’t know how to articulate any of this, so instead he drops his eyes to your stained shirt and says sadly, “I’m sorry about the mess, pretty bird.”
Ducking a little so you’re now holding his gaze, you look softly at Din, somehow knowing he’s feeling more than he’s letting on; you kiss him warmly and whisper, “It’s okay. I’m okay,” before wrapping your arms around Din’s neck and pulling him down into you.  You feel Din’s back muscles relax under your hands, as he presses you in tightly and just holds you for a minute.  Behind your back, Din and Paz lock eyes; a look of understanding passes between the two men before Din closes his eyes and let’s himself melt into your embrace.
Now that the fight is over, most of the crowd moves, almost as one, to a bar across the street for the planned after party.  Din’s mood seems to have lightened considerably; with his arm around your waist, he steers you through the crowd, shouting salutations to people he knows and sporadically introducing you to people as they come up to say hi.  You don’t remember all the names, but they all seem to be people that have known Din from when he was a child, watched Din box during his glory days, are somehow associated with the gym, knew Din’s dad or some combination of the above.  Even more memorable are some of the stories Din whispers in your ear when out of earshot of the person you just met (like the gym member who thought that the Mando’s locker rooms had a nude sauna.  They don’t), and you’re glad that the faces are all kind of a blur because otherwise, you might never be able to face some of these people again.  The entire bar erupts with cheers when Jimmy, Greef and some of the other team from Mando’s arrives; they head straight for Din and you give them your hearty congratulations once Din’s released them from his bear hugs.  You assure Jimmy that you thoroughly enjoyed your first boxing match and you’re glad it was one of his; when Greef learns that you saw the “Mando Roll” he looks like a proud papa bear, of Jimmy or you, you’re not sure.  Slowly, the entire friend group descends on your and Din’s location and you get a chance to meet them all.  In addition to Paz, there’s Woves, Mayfeld, Bo, Koska, and a few younger boxers from the gym, Brian, Santos, and Iggy tonight.  It’s a great group; everyone is welcoming and even appear eager to meet and get to know you.  You dance with Din, laugh at Paz’s jokes and sip drinks with the group.
At a certain point, you need a bit of a breather, so you volunteer to go to the bar to get the next round of drinks for everyone.  When you give your order to the bartender, you’re told it might take a while given the number of drinks; honestly, you don’t mind and happily take the opportunity to give your social battery a mini-charge, check your messages, and just take in your surroundings.  You’ve missed a lot of messages and you’re about to dive into the group chat when you’re aware of someone standing directly in front of you.  You look up; it’s a stranger, and not one you remember Din introducing you to earlier in the evening. He’s standing uncomfortably close to you, as if you’re already acquainted, which you most certainly are not.  Once the stranger knows he has your attention, he lays on a thick, “Don’t think I’ve seen a pretty thing like you around here before.”  You appraise the man in front of you; he’s okay looking but there’s something about his posture, his presence that’s just... slimy.  Suddenly, you notice on either side of you his friends inching closer, flanking you, and they too seem to have a greasy, sluggish look about them.  You almost sigh; their intent is so obvious, and all the more insidious for not trying to hide it well. Under different circumstances, you would be feeling at best, harassed, and at worst, panic, but with Din and his friends just a few steps away, you know you’re perfectly safe.
“You wouldn’t have.  First time,” you give a thin smile, before making a gesture to show you need to check your phone now.
“Well let me and my friends show you a good time!  We know everyone here.”
“Thanks for the offer, but I’ve got a great group of hosts already,” and you point towards Din and his friends.  The men take a look in the direction you’re pointing and seem to hesitate, but then carry on as if what you said is a but a mere inconvenience.
Din had been talking to Paz when he looks over and sees you being surrounded at the bar and hisses, “Fucking Hutts.”  Paz looks over as well, “She looks like she can handle it.”  And it’s true, you really do look like you’re fine (annoyed, but fine), but Din sighs, “Yeah, but she shouldn’t have to.  Those guys are slime.  She shouldn’t be anywhere near them.”  Paz raises an eyebrow, “You wanna talk about what’s really bugging you?  I saw you back there when she got blood on her.  You worried she can’t handle being with a Mando?”
Din shakes his head; it’s not that.  He is sure you can handle anything… but should you have to?
“You’re worried she’s too sweet for all this?” Paz gestures generally.
Sighing again, Din shoulders droop a little, “Maybe.  She’s a good girl, you know?”  That little voice in his head from earlier is nagging him with more insistence now, too good.  He’s watching you, knowing you’d make eye contact with him if you needed help, but he really can’t stand you being so close to those assholes.  You’re not even giving Gorga Hutt and his cronies a forced smile anymore; he sees your mouth make the words: “No, I’m sure.  No, thank you” and he’s off, long strides reaching you with just a few steps.  He walks right past the man standing stupidly close to you, and maintaining eye contact with him, says, “Hutt.”  The man practically sneers back, “Mando,” as Din slides an arm protectively around your waist and turns to stare daggers at the 3 men who have now all lined up together.  Luckily, at this moment, the bartender appears and slides over a tray with all your drinks, so you tug on Din’s arm, “Do you mind helping me carry these?” and like that, the two of you leave the three Hutt men before they can get another word in.
Everyone is thrilled to get their refills, and you take the opportunity to ask, “How come those guys back there called you guys “The Mandos”?  Is it just because of the gym?”
Maybe you imagine it, but there seems to be moment of stalled silence where no one in the group speaks, before Bo pipes up and answers, “It was the name of our club when we were kids; the gym was like our clubhouse, so… look, we weren’t very creative kids, okay?”  Everyone laughs, and Bo waves you over and starts telling you some of the shenanigans the group got into when they were young.
“You really didn’t let her know what she’s stepping into, brother,” Paz says quietly so only Din hears.
Din looks at Paz with something like regret.  He’s doing a visual sweep of the room; it’s second nature to him in crowds like tonight’s, but it also serves to distract himself from the agitation of running into the Hutts.  He looks around the room and sees a few men leering at you; not just the Hutts, although Gorga is still at the bar where you left him and looking over with a sour expression, but other unsavoury types that Din is no stranger to.  Din can read the look he sees in their eyes: to folks like that, you were a mark.  Prey.  The voice in his head gets louder: You were a pretty bird and he had brought you into a den of hunters, and you didn’t even know.
Din’s so deep in his own thoughts, he doesn’t notice when a petite brunette breaks away from a group of girls hovering on the periphery of his friends and makes a beeline for you.
You’re in mid conversation with Bo, who you’re finding to be incredibly refreshing and interesting being a female body builder when you turn to put your empty glass down; however, turning back, you find a girl you haven’t met has wedged herself between you and Bo while you were faced away.  The look on Bo’s face indicates she’s just as surprised you are.
“So you’re Din’s date.”  This is stated more like a fact than a question.
“I guess I am,” you introduce yourself; the girl says her name is Vanessa and she’s giving you a smile but it doesn’t quite reach her eyes, so you honestly can’t tell where this conversation is going.
“You know, so many of us girls have tried to lock Din down, maybe you’ll finally be the one to do it.”
Oh.  Does Din have… groupies?  “Oh!” you give a polite laugh, “I can honestly say that locking anyone down or having anyone lock me down, has not crossed my mind.”
“A couple of us girls have had a lot of fun trying,” she tilts her head in the direction of a group of girls that are hovering close by, “Din’s a total catch.  One of the best I’ve ever had.”
Ah ha.  This is new for you.  All your life you’ve been a girl’s girl, and one thing about being a girl’s girl is to never let men be the cause for contention, but man oh man, this girl is definitely fishing hard for a reaction from you; you know what she wants, but it’s honestly not in you to give.  Instead, you look at her with a sympathetic expression, “Oh I don’t doubt it.  Din’s probably one of the kindest people I’ve ever met.”  It’s the truth and the best you can offer her.
She looks at you with disbelief before scampering off; Bo stifles a laugh before the two of you return to your conversation.
Din is starting to feel like he’s been away from you too long; then he knows he’s been away from you too long when Bo comes by and tells him about your little interlude with Vanessa.  He immediately finds you; slipping his arms around you from behind, Din nuzzles your neck and murmurs, “Sorry, I’ve been neglectful, baby.  Not leaving your side for the rest of the night, I promise.”
You turn in his arms and winding your arms around his waist, you happily press your mouth to his, “Don’t worry.  I’ve been thoroughly entertained.  I’ve been learning soooooooo much about you, Din.”  Your eyes are twinkling.
Din should have known that you wouldn’t let Vanessa bother you; although he still feels like he has to address it.  He presses his forehead to yours, “So… I heard you had a visitor.”
“Oh right. Vanessa,” you chuckle.
“Pretty bird, there’s nothing going on, I promise.”
You give Din a quick, reassuring kiss, “Oh, I know.  I wasn’t bothered by what she said.”
“…but you were bothered?” Din pulls away to look at you, as if checking you over to make sure you were alright.
You tuck yourself under his chin and sigh, “It’s nothing really.  Just... surprising? It’s been a really long time since someone, never mind someone I don’t even know, has gone out of their way to be intentionally mean to me.”
Din feels his chest constrict.  Of course you would be perceptive enough to recognize casual cruelty when you saw it, and of course it would wound your tender heart, “I’m sorry, pretty bird.  You don’t deserve that.”
You burrow deeper into his arms, “Thank you.”
“I still want to make sure you know, there isn’t anyone else. Only you, baby.”
“Okay,” you lift your face to his and invite him to kiss you.  He melts into your lips, but can’t ignore the persistent voice in his head that’s only gotten louder over the course of the evening anymore.
---
In the cab on the way home, Din is quiet.  You snuggle extra close to him and when he tightens his arm around you, you nuzzle your way into your nook and press light kisses to his neck.
Din looks down at you and his heart breaks a little at the sweet look you give him; he can’t help himself, and he kisses you, soft and long – he knows he shouldn’t with what he’s about to do, but he also knows this could very well be his last chance to kiss you and he can’t convince himself to pass it up.
He wonders how it could end like this – when he first saw you this evening, gorgeous and sexy as hell, teasing him with a peek at your black lace lingerie, he was sure tonight was the night he was finally going to take you upstairs and ruin you, not the night he was going to walk away.
But he had made up his mind before leaving the bar.  Paz was right, you were too sweet for his world.  Din had been busy trying to make sure that he deserved you, he hadn’t thought about if you deserved what he would bring into your life.  You didn’t; you didn’t deserve to be on the periphery of violence, never knowing if it would touch you directly, you didn’t deserve to be in the company of lowlifes and scumbags that would take advantage of your kindness, and you certainly did not deserve to be the recipient of any nastiness simply for caring about him.  How could he bring this kind of darkness into your life?
You’ve been the best thing to happen to him in a long time, and Din’s heart aches knowing these are some of the last moments he will get to spend with you.  But when, out of the corner of his eye, he catches a glimpse of the same shirt that was so inviting to him earlier with blood splatter that looks almost black in the night, it hardens his resolve.
You sigh deeply into the kisses, only breaking away and opening your eyes when the cab starts to slow down.  Din pays for the cab and helps you out; as soon as he closes the door of the car and it drives away, you make to walk into the building.  Tugging on his hand, you playfully ask, “Did you want to come up and get Al with me, or are you still pretending you don’t want to come up?”  To your surprise, Din doesn’t budge from his spot on the sidewalk and drops your hand.  He stuffs both hands in his pockets and can’t quite look at you when he says, “I don’t think I can come up.” You’re about to make a silly joke about it being the third date, when he continues, “…and I don’t think we should see each other anymore.”
At first, you’re not sure you heard him correctly but then you see Din's face; while not quite facing you directly, you can see it looks downtrodden and tired, and you realize he's being serious.  You forget how to breathe for a moment and you don’t know what to say. Didn’t you just have a fun night, full of promise? Hadn’t he kissed you the entire cab ride over? Weren’t the last two weeks of getting to know each other romantic and deliciously tension filled? You’re confused and you say the first ridiculous thing that comes to mind, “You don’t… want to... court me anymore?”
Din didn’t think his heart could hurt anymore, but the way you were looking at him, confused and upset, was proving him wrong.  He shouldn’t have kissed you in the cab.  It had been selfish.  He knows he's been so selfish when it came to you, and that stops now. Din struggles to get the words out, “I don’t think it’s a good idea. I mean, tonight… I shouldn’t have taken you to the fight tonight.  You don’t belong in a place like that.  You showed up in a beautiful outfit and… fuck.” He’s getting flustered now, but he forces himself to press on, “…it’s ruined.” He gestures to the blood splatter on your shirt and hangs his head.
“It’s just a little blood, Din.  It will come out. Nothing has been ruined, I promise,” you can see he’s distressed and you want to comfort him.  You try making a little joke to lighten the mood, “I mean, I know you know a good dry cleaner.”
“It’s not right.  It never should have happened!  A girl like you doesn’t belong near any place like that.”
Oh.  You only now come to the realization that perhaps you hadn’t been paying attention and Din didn’t have fun tonight.  The date had been on his “turf”, so to speak, and around people he’s known a lot longer than he’s known you; maybe Din had had certain expectations on how the evening was supposed to go... expectations that you apparently didn’t meet. “Din, for the record… I had a lot of fun tonight.  I didn’t realize I wasn’t fitting in; I’m sorry if the evening didn’t go the way you had wanted.”  Now it’s you that can’t meet his eye.
“No, no, it’s not… it’s… fine.  It was just clear to me tonight that we come from different worlds and… maybe it’s not a good fit.  I’m sorry.”
You’re trying to swallow your feelings but they’re getting caught in your throat; you force yourself to say, “You don’t have to apologize.  I thought… well… it doesn’t matter what I thought. But it was only our third date, Din – you’re entitled to feel that I’m not for you.” You’re trying so hard to appear calm and neutral despite your heart breaking, that you miss Din wincing at those words. “I guess I want to say that I’m still glad we met, Din. And, thank you.  Thank you so much for everything you’ve done for me these past few weeks – all the food when I worked late, helping me walk the dog… the books. Really, thank you.” You pause, shrug a little, then hold onto your arms, trying to make yourself as small as you feel while delaying the next words for as long as you can, “Goodbye.”
Din nods, “Goodbye.”
You walk away, finally free to cry when you realize that you still have to walk the dog.  Even though your tears are already spilling over, you turn around, “Din?” He’s still standing where he was, having not moved, but looks up when you call his name.  Once you have Din’s attention, you look away; you can’t bear to see the expression on his face as he watches you cry.  “I’m going to take Al for a walk. I’ll be back down in just a minute.” Your voice starts to break, “Is it okay if you’re not here when I do?”
“Of course.” Din turns and walks away from you.  You don’t see his own eyes have welled up before you turn to go in.
Inside, you clip the dog up and give him a lot of kisses in the elevator.  True to his word, Din is nowhere to be found when you get outside.  Al looks around, excitedly; most likely for Din.  Perhaps he can still smell him.  You kneel down and say sadly to your dog, “He’s not here, baby. Turns out he didn’t quite like us as much as we liked him.” Al licks a few tears off your cheek as if to comfort you and then trots off to start sniffing a tree.
---
Din watches you with Al from a distance away, out of sight.  He knew you were upset and he wanted to make sure you were safe, being out alone with your dog.  But if he was being honest, it was a perfectly safe neighbourhood – he just simply wanted to look at you for as long as he could.  He stays looking up at your apartment long after you’ve gone in, leaving only when your lights go out.

100% Mike and Steve dress up as Anakin and Obi wan (AOTC or ROTS-era) for Halloween one year. Mike’s getting over a break up or his parents are finally divorcing and despite being thirty (assuming this isn’t a modern AU) he’s not taking it well.
Mike: *whining* C’mon! You *owe* me.
Steve : For fucking WHAT?
Mike: I dunno - there’s gotta be something from over the years.
Steve: *sighs* Mike - you remember that conversation we had back you were fourteen, and I told you you were too old to get your own way by pouting at me.
Mike: *grinning* I called you a bitch.
Steve *proud and trying not to show it* Yes. Yes, you did. Point being, THAT WAS 14 YEARS AGO! You haven’t turned a corner and suddenly gotten cute and helpless enough for it to work!
Mike: Helpless-?
Steve: No distracting me - the point is, it is not happening - end of discussion!
*Smash cut to Steve and Mike in full costume in the middle of a party, Steve holding a red solo cup because time is a flat circle*
Steve: -wish I could cut off your arms and legs for real.
Mike: That’s dark sided - you’re supposed to be Obi-wan!
Steve: …doesn’t mean I can order you to taste care of stuff that I don’t want to do?
Mike *realising he’s played himself*:…no…
(Steve, through the party’s badgering/them leaving their shit lying around at his place, has a full, fairly high quality Jedi cosplay, which quickly becomes his low/no-effort costume for all his fancy dress needs.
He has dressed up as Slave!Leia at least once. He uses the excuse it was part of a pair costume with Robin who was going as Luke from RotJ (an outfit thrown together at the last minute after they realised she had kinda the same haircut as Mark Hamil), but it was 100% psychological warfare against at least Mike. Dustin spends the rest of the night encouraging him to cover up,. Both because he’s concerned that he’s cold and some of the looks Steve is getting is making him uncomfortable, Erica is deeply unimpressed (she’s managed to find a Zoot suit that fits and wanted him and Robin to join her to make up a band prohibition era Jazz musicians and/or bootleggers). Will, while knowing he wasn’t the intended target, nonetheless takes psychic damage and takes that personally.)
Dustin is so offended because HEY! Steve is HIS Obi Wan Mike! Get your own!!
Steve: Dustin. Mike asked first. But if you want you can be Artoo?
Dustin: WHAT?!
Steve: yeah like that you've got it! Let Mike have this win he's going through a hard time with his parents divorce
Dustin: everyone saw that was going to happen for at least fifteen years. This is bullshit.
I think it'd be funny if Steve consistently won the costume contest at the bar they chose to go to with various star wars outfits. Clone war era Obi Wan is a classic no brainer because he already has a cloak and the natural slutty swagger and exhaustion from being in charge of hellions not dying, but he's also done Hutt slayer Leia (though maybe he had an over costume of bounty hunter Leia? For a dramatic reveal and max psychic damage. Robin agrees to be post Carbonite freeze helpless Han [low effort]), xwing pilot luke, cloud city Lando, (shirtless) Darth maul (so much effort. So much body paint. Robin uses his Obi Wan outfit to be Quigon), and "got the shit beat out of him Obi Wan" (he fell in the dirt and got muddy so Incorporated it into the costume that year). Maybe one year he does prohibition era mobsters with scoops troop, because stobin being Erica's enforcers is so good.
Wait. Steve becoming a sort of well known through word of mouth star wars cosplayer would be so funny. Like he chooses costumes that are low effort for him because he already has the pieces or to cause the most groaning and whining from his friends, but he also cares about what he looks like so he makes sure it always looks good and cool, and maybe Dustin convinced him to use his Obi Wan outfit (or, if it's before TPM maybe xwing Luke?) to dress up with him at to the local con, and he gets quite a few compliments, so he starts recycling Halloween costumes to go in, and he thinks it's fun to stay in character a little. Which is how he gets into higher effort, lower recognizable characters. Maybe when he has kids he dresses up a c3p0 and the kids as Ewoks ;-; family cosplay.
Mike is kind of shocked about what he started lmao. Also miffed that more often than not Robin is part of the duo (and not him)

Fic-O-Ween 2023 Day 5: Ritual
Some spice (and I’m not talkin’ pumpkin spice) with a Star Wars-y twist for day five of the fest (@noots-fic-fests)! Co-written with the fantabulous @veryspacecowboy—and posted just in time for your birthday!!! <3
Title: Beskar Babes Characters: Finn O'Hara/Logan Tremblay/Leo Knut Rating: E
Thank you as always to @lumosinlove for the boys—especially Kuny, who I think we can all agree is the real MVP of this one.
Tumblr media
Like many good things, it all started with a Star Wars marathon spread over an away trip.
Actually, it really started with a shutout game where Leo made several impossible saves. In the locker room, Kuny had ruffled Leo's sweaty hair and called him Master Skywalker, to which Leo had blushed and admitted he'd never actually seen Star Wars.
Naturally, this caused a huge uproar, especially from Kuny and Nado, but also from Finn. The three of them ranted and raved for all of about five minutes before Kuny clapped his hands on Finn and Leo's shoulders and said 'Your padawan, he is, O'Hara. Teach him Force, you must.’
Over the next week, Finn showed Leo (and Logan, who was mostly there for cuddles) episodes four through six, one through three, Solo, Rogue One, and finally (with a grain of salt), seven through nine.
Once they were finally back home in their apartment, settling back into their routine after the ups and downs of the long roadie, Finn started watching The Mandalorian on nights when he wasn’t caught up in a book. His boys had pretty much left him to it, declaring themselves Star Wars-ed out for the time being. But Leo’s passing glances at the screen while Finn was watching slowly became watching half an episode over Finn’s shoulder, and then the two of them were in it together, shared blanket thrown over their legs and all. Logan grumbled more and more about it until he finally gave in, the allure of couch cuddles too strong, and started watching with them.
It didn’t take Logan long to notice his boyfriends’ crushes on the show’s lead, the Mandalorian himself. Leo was the first to admit it, letting out a low whistle during the scene when Djarin removes his helmet for the first time. “I knew he was hot.”
Finn had laughed and thrown his hands in the air. “Okay, right?! He was hot with the helmet on, even, but damn. Like, okay.”
Logan didn’t disagree, but mostly he was just amused at their fawning, which they kept doing from time to time until the season ended. Then one day in the locker room, as he watched Finn and Leo talk about the finale with Kuny and Nado, he got an idea.
Before crawling into bed with his boyfriends that night, he sent a quick text to Kuny.
Did you buy that Mando armor you showed us?
да yes, beskar delivery today.
why?
Can I borrow it this weekend?
There was a long-ish pause, those three dots moving like Kuny was typing, then deleting, typing, then deleting once more.
clean off cum after, little Mando
you come here and pick up?
Logan’s cheeks were burning as he tapped out a fast tomorrow am, ignoring both the short joke and the implication because, well. It would just sound stupid to lie. He already knew the smug grin Kuny was going to give him tomorrow, but he could take a little chirping from him (and inevitably Nado) if it meant the success of his plan.
~
It was easy enough to pull off the surprise; Logan stopped at Kuny and Nado’s place on the way home from a grocery run, leaving the outfit in his car until he had some time alone to get ready. Luckily, Finn was hell-bent on restocking their bar so he could make them a round of after-dinner manhattans (“We have off tomorrow!”) and Leo wanted some weird liqueur for a baking project, so all Logan had to do was pass on joining them for the ride, saying he wanted to shower instead.
The armor wasn’t the easiest thing to get into, but still only took him half the time it did to suit up for a game, giving him a few spare minutes to check himself out in the mirror. It had been custom-made for Kuny, so some of it was unsurprisingly big on him, but he thought he looked alright anyway. He huffed out a laugh at his reflection, shaking his head a little.
“D’accord, here we go,” he said to himself. He heard the rumble of Leo’s car pulling up in the driveway, fitted his helmet on, and made his way to the living room.
The way their apartment was set up, the living room was kind of tucked behind a wall that helped give the kitchen more cabinets. If he knew his boys, they'd go straight to the kitchen to put away groceries before doing anything else. He shifted a little, the blaster at his hip and the tracking fob blinking steadily in his other hand.
The lock at the front door clicked open and the voices of his lovers carried through, halfway through a conversation. Logan swallowed thickly and waited.
"—cool that we don't have to get your Crystal hot sauce from your parents anymore, now that they just have it at the grocery store."
"Well, yeah, but I like getting care packages from my parents. Even if I'm paying for the shipping." The sounds of things being put away, bottles clinking, and the fridge doors closing were slightly muffled through the helmet.
"BabyNut, no one's saying you can't get care packages from your sweet mama, I'm just saying now she can put more homemade goodies in, if she wants."
"Yeah, s'pose so. Remember when it exploded in the box?" There was some laughter and a soft silence Logan recognized as kissing. "Hey, where's Lo? Is he napping?"
And with that, Finn flipped the lights on in the living room and the pair of them stepped out of the kitchen. Leo froze at the sight of Logan (he assumed it was Logan) in full-on, practically screen-exact Mandalorian armor. Finn bumped into him with a soft oof and gasped when he peeked around Leo.
"Holy—Jesus Christ, Lo, where the hell did you get that? It looks great!" There was a long pause as Logan stood up, tracking fob blinking softly as he pointed it at his boyfriends. Then, he pulled the blaster from its holster.
"I can bring you in warm…or I can bring you in cold."
All three of them went still for a moment, and Logan was smiling from ear to ear under the helmet at the literal jaw drops he’d elicited from his boyfriends. Leo was dragging his gaze all the way down Logan from head to toe and back again, and Finn’s gaze flicked from the blaster to the helmet right where Logan’s eyes would be, seemingly rendered speechless mid-sentence. That was more like it, Logan thought.
Leo broke the silence first. “I surrender,” he said, voice low and honey-sweet as his lips twitched up in a tiny grin. He sent a sidelong glance toward Finn, who was still wide-eyed and uncharacteristically quiet. “Harz?” he said, raising an eyebrow. “What about you?”
Finn swallowed twice, and Logan was just starting to feel worry unfurling in his chest when the redhead took a step forward, then another, stopping just short of the blaster aimed at him. “Oh yeah,” he said, putting his hands in the air in a show of surrender. His crooked smile was warm and full of promise, and it chased away the panic in Logan instantly. “I’m all yours, baby.”
"I would've thought that a Marshal of Tattooine—" Logan semi-gently poked Finn in the belly with his blaster before nodding his helmet at Leo. “and a Jedi Master would put up more of a fight for having bounties on their heads, but I've been surprised before. Not that surprise has helped them live."
There was another beat as Finn and Leo caught on to Logan’s play. Anticipation was picking Logan’s heart rate up, but he fought the urge to squirm, keeping still as he waited to see what the other two would do.
Finn considered him with raised brows, that crooked grin turning a little more surprised, but no less amused. “A bounty, eh?” Finn said, letting his belly press against the end of the blaster just slightly. “Well, that changes things. I thought this was a Mandalorian’s way of asking a guy for a drink.”
Leo came up behind Finn, snaking his arms around his waist. “And we’d be very interested in having a drink with you,” he said, voice soft and sweet but blue eyes full of mischief where they burned into Logan’s despite the helmet.
Leo leaned his head down to press a lingering kiss to the side of Finn’s neck, and Finn sighed into it. It distracted Logan just enough to let Finn get his hand around the weapon, coaxing it away from his body until it was pointed toward the floor between them. “What do you say?” Finn breathed. The two of them were looking right at where they knew green eyes were considering them. “No fun bringing us in cold when we’re this hot.”
That got a little huff of a laugh out of their darling Mando, and Finn felt that warmth in his belly from making his sweetheart laugh. They hadn't talked super seriously about sexy roleplaying or dress up, but this? The beskar armor? The tough-guy attitude? Finn liked it a lot and, from the feel of Leo pressed up against him, he guessed he wasn’t the only one.
"I thought the Jedi had rules about attachment. You two seem pretty attached."
"Restarting the Order comes with a few perks," Leo said, his disapproval of how Luke acted in the series shining through a little. "Friendship, love, and sex aren't the enemy. But…the last of those is on the table, Mando. If you like."
Logan tilted his head, pretending to consider their offer. Then he motioned toward the hallway with the blaster. “Bedroom, now,” he said in the most commanding tone he could muster.
He watched as Finn and Leo shared a look, all wide eyes and excited grins, and felt the familiar pull to be closer to them. But he wasn’t ready to give up the game just yet. Finn went first, then Leo, then Logan behind them both, closing the bedroom door behind him.
Once he turned around to face them, he was met with two gorgeous boys standing by the foot of their enormous bed, watching him and waiting for his next direction. A thrill ran through him as he found himself running the show. This wasn’t their usual dynamic, even without the roleplay, but Logan was eager to see where it would go, where he could take them.
He holstered the blaster at last, crossing his arms instead as he stared them down. “Take off his clothes, Jedi,” he said, the hint of a smile in his voice. “Since he’s in such a hurry to get out of them.”
Being called Jedi was apparently doing it for Leo because he'd never stripped one of the boys out of their clothes as fast as he was getting Finn naked. "Oh my g—kriffing shit. Leo!" Oop—he'd actually forgotten about Finn's shoes. Well, now he was naked at least. All those freckles on display, with that gorgeous, perfect amount of deep red body hair…and that lovely, lovely cock. Logan was definitely hard in his armor.
"Now, Marshal…give us a turn and get the Jedi naked."
Marshal. Finn didn’t know if he should be finding that as hot as he was, but he was too into this whole surprise roleplay to care. What was hotter than that, though, was Logan. The way he was carrying himself, so in command, made Finn want to do things—want to have things done to him—that he hadn’t really thought about before. He shivered in the open air, feeling distinctly exposed with his boyfriends still fully dressed. But not for long—he had orders, after all.
Finn stole a moment to give Leo a lingering kiss, pressing his palms to the sides of Leo’s neck and stroking the strong line of Leo’s jaw with his thumbs, before pulling away with a grin and a waggle of his eyebrows. He stripped Leo efficiently—not as lightning-fast as Leo had done to him, maybe, but he didn’t make a show of it, either—and pulled him in for another kiss, heated and a little sloppy with excitement, once they were both completely, equally naked.
“Oh, hi,” Finn murmured as Leo’s quickly filling cock pressed against his hip. “You like him, huh, Master Knut?” Leo gasped, eyes wide and dark, and Finn smiled, knowing he’d got him good. They would absolutely be returning to the Jedi persona for Leo; it just fit so perfectly, and Leo obviously really liked it.
"I do, I do like him. The voice, the confidence…the armor." Leo swallowed thickly and glanced over at Logan, still with his blaster in his hand. "What…what would you have us do, Mando?"
"It's been a while since I've been to a show. Too busy hunting Imperials. Take him apart, Master Jedi. At my direction."
Finn felt a little shiver run through him again, but it wasn’t from the air this time. He looked over at Logan, then at Leo, who was sizing him up with a hunger in his eyes that made Finn’s heart pick up. Oh, he was in trouble. And it was going to be good trouble.
“It would be my pleasure,” Leo said, ducking his head to leave a trail of kisses from the corner of Finn’s jaw down his neck, stopping at the cap of his shoulder. Finn was a little twitchy with excited energy, wiggling his toes on the wood floor and skating his hands through Leo’s hair, across his back, up his arms—wherever he could reach.
Leo noticed, and walked Finn backwards until he could coax him down onto the bed. He ran a soothing hand down Finn’s bare chest, then looked over his shoulder at Logan. “This good?” he asked.
Logan nodded, walking closer to the bed to get a better view of them as Leo settled himself on top of Finn. He didn’t join them, though; he was content to watch the show for now, like he’d said, though he didn’t know how long he’d last without giving into the desire to touch them.
He watched as Leo and Finn lost themselves in a slow, tender kiss that morphed into something a little more desperate by the time they broke apart, panting against each other’s mouths. Leo hummed softly, nuzzling his nose against Finn’s cheek in a sweet contrast to the way his hips were slowly starting to roll against Finn’s. Finn’s hands were curled around Leo’s ribs, fingertips pressing into the strong muscles of his back, and he kissed the gray tuft that was always visible in the mass of Leo’s blond curls before his gaze wandered over to the armored figure looming a few feet away.
“You could help him,” Finn said to Logan, his smile going slack as Leo moved to suck a bruise into the junction of his neck and shoulder. “You could—fuck, Leo—help him take me apart.”
"Mm." Logan shifted a bit, helmet tilting as he assessed what Finn had suggested and what Leo was doing to him. "Something tells me you're not the one getting taken apart. Take it slow… take a moment to settle into it. I'll do my part soon enough, Marshal. And Jedi? Make sure to leave marks. This is the Way." This was as much Logan talking as Mando, and it made another shiver go through Leo and Finn.
Leo guided Finn’s gaze back to his with gentle fingers on his chin. “What do you say, O’Hara?” Leo’s smile was playful and loving and it warmed Finn from the inside out, helping to calm his energy a bit. “Do you trust me?”
Finn knew that Leo was playing along with the scene, but he was also really asking. He wasn’t used to just—lying back and taking it, so to speak. He liked to do the work, he liked to take Leo and Logan apart and give them everything they wanted and then some. But his answer came without hesitation. “Mhm,” he hummed, kissing the tip of Leo’s nose. Because he did trust them, both of them, implicitly. And whenever he’d stepped out of his comfort zone with them before, it had always ended more than well. “Go ahead, baby. I’m all yours.”
Just like on the boat in New Orleans, Leo would take good care of Finn, and hopefully the pair of them could ease Finn down into subspace. Logan and Leo had experienced it before and Finn had been so good with them. He deserved the same. The fact that it had a Star Wars flair was just…a nice extra touch.
The three of them shifted, Leo moving Finn up the bed a bit so Logan had room to perch on the edge of the bed and watch. He wanted to take off the helmet…but knew it would be better and 'more authentic' if he waited for now and left it on. "Touch him, softly. Ease him into it, touch him where he likes."
Leo looked over his shoulder at Logan and nodded, biting his lip against the arousal that spiked through him at Logan being in control. At Logan instructing him how to make love to Finn. It was intimate, doing this as a pair, and a part of his brain was already coming up with ideas of what they could try in the future. He looked back into warm brown eyes and shelved those thoughts for now; he had a marshal who needed him, after all, and he fully intended on following the mandalorian’s orders to the letter.
Leo settled back over Finn, bracketing him with his knees on either side of Finn’s thighs and his forearms on the sides of Finn’s head, and kissed him for what felt like a blissful eternity, slow and deep. When he felt Finn start to relax underneath him, Leo pulled back just enough to drag the pad of his thumb across Finn’s bottom lip. Finn smiled, kissing it, and Leo kept going, tracing a gentle path with his fingertips down the long expanse of Finn’s neck, to his broad chest, pale and strong and peppered with freckles.
He shifted to kiss over Finn’s adam’s apple as his fingers traced teasing circles around his nipples. Finn made a soft sound at the touch, arching up into it slightly, and Leo gave him a little more, brushing over the pink buds with the smoothest parts of his hands and then the spots where his skin was rougher and more calloused. Finn squirmed and sighed and sunk his hands into Leo’s hair, but he didn’t try to initiate anything, so Leo replaced his hands with his mouth as a reward, lapping and sucking gently until Finn’s nipples were hard peaks.
“You’re so beautiful, Harzy,” Leo breathed, blowing cool air over Finn where he was now extra sensitive. He gave each nipple a last kiss. “So good for me always.” He kissed the bump of Finn’s sternum as his hands made a slow path down his chest and belly to the V of his hips.
“Leo,” Finn gasped, cock pulsing out a bead of precome where it hung heavily between his legs. Leo’s mouth watered at the sight, but he wasn’t there yet. Finn wasn’t there yet.
He kissed his way back up to Finn’s neck, leaving a purple love bite to match the one on the opposite side. “Fuck,” Finn groaned, gripping Leo’s shoulders. His hips bucked, unconsciously seeking friction. “Fuck, baby.”
“You like being my good boy, don’t you?” Leo asked, running his knuckles down Finn’s cheek tenderly as he got an enthusiastic nod in response. Then he took hold of Finn’s wrists, easing his arms back until they framed his head on the pillow. “Can you stay just like this while I go a little lower?” There were so many other places Leo wanted to love on Finn’s bottom half.
As Leo smooched down Finn's belly, headed towards his cock, Logan shifted so he could stand up by Finn's head. "You like to be good for your Jedi?" He traced along Finn's arm and then his shoulder with the soft leather glove, just the tips of his fingers to make Finn shiver and moan sweetly. "You'll be so sweet for us, I can tell."
"I—yeah, I'm good. I want to be good for you two." Finn let out a shaky breath as Leo lapped at the head of his cock. Logan cupped Finn's face in his hand, gently teasing his bottom lip with his thumb as he cradled Finn's jaw.
Without overthinking it, Finn yielded to the gentle pressure, opening his mouth and drawing Logan’s gloved thumb inside with his tongue as his eyes slid shut. He sucked on it once experimentally, then groaned around it, brown eyes fluttering back open to look up at Logan through his lashes. This was new for Finn; it made his cheeks hot and his dick throb under the barely-there flicks of Leo’s tongue. He stared at the shiny visor and wished he could see what Logan’s eyes looked like that second.
There was a shift between them, a subtle change in the feel of things, there in their bed. Leo squeezed where Finn's ass met his thigh and the redhead moaned softly around the gloved finger in his mouth. Finn was slipping nicely, his two boys easing him down into a fuzzy, warm floatiness.
"Yeah, sweetheart, you're so good. You look so good sucking his thumb. Such a good boy for us." Leo murmured these words of praise into Finn's lovely, freckled lower belly and looked up to see how Finn gazed up at Logan, still wearing his helmet. "Mando—Logan. Can you take off your helmet for us?"
Logan hesitated for a moment, debating with himself. Finn looked so gorgeous underneath them, eyes wide and dark and trusting, and his slow sucks around Logan’s thumb were sending arousal spiking through Logan’s body. Part of him was dying to rip the costume off and kiss the living daylights out of Finn, and then do the same to Leo. But part of him wasn’t sure what would happen if he did. Could he keep up this energy with them without the armor, without the persona?
He looked over at Leo where he was pressing kisses to the root of Finn’s cock and watching them both with lust-blown blue eyes. Then he looked back at Finn and felt his heart pull at the look on Finn’s face. He let Logan’s finger slip from his mouth, his hands reaching to find purchase on any part of Logan he could reach. “Please,” he said, soft and sweet and yearning. “Please, Lo baby, wanna see you.”
He hadn’t even finished getting the words out before Logan’s hands were flying up to the helmet, pulling it up over his head and letting it rest on the nightstand with a soft thud. He was flushed and his brown hair was sticking to his temples where a thin sheen of sweat had broken out over his skin from the heavy costume. Finn let out a soft noise as he finally locked eyes with Logan, smiling at him like he’d hung the moon, and Logan couldn’t wait another second, pushing a hand into Finn’s hair and giving it a tug that made Finn’s toes curl before catching him in a dizzying kiss.
“Gorgeous, mon rouge,” Logan purred against Finn’s lips, allowing the break in character to give Finn the praise that was so obviously sending him up to cloud nine. “Your mouth is perfect. I want you to keep doing that while Leo sucks your cock.” He looked over at Leo. “Ouais?”
Leo swallowed hard, his own cock heavy against the mattress. “Ouais,” he said, already a little breathless. It was such a treat to see his boys like this, it was like a remix of their special lovemaking on the boat. Christ, he wanted his boys any way he could have them, including with the added spice of beskar. "Finn, check in with Lo. Okay?"
"Uh-huh, okay, Le—" Finn let it out in a breathless rush, a blush settling high on his freckled cheeks as he gazed up at Logan. He tilted his head just enough to press a little kiss to Logan's thumb before Logan slipped his thumb past Finn's lips once more and Leo descended on the redhead's cock.
"You're such a treat to look at, Harzy, especially with Leo's mouth on you. Did the armor really get you that hot?" When Finn nodded and moaned around Logan's thumb, he couldn't hold back his smile. Fuck, he was so lucky.
For a long few moments, Logan let things play out, Finn’s sucks around his thumb becoming more rhythmic as he mimicked what Leo was doing between his legs. Then he slid his thumb out from that wet heat, cupping Finn’s cheek briefly to reassure him he hadn’t done anything wrong, and stepped back just enough to start getting himself out of the costume as fast as he could, taking care not to scuff or break anything. He had nothing but boxers on under the costume’s layers; it was a relief to be standing only in them after what felt like hours in the hot, heavy armor.
He crawled onto the bed, laying on his side next to Finn, and Leo pulled off Finn’s cock with a kiss before coming up to lay on his opposite side. Their hands trailed over Finn’s chest and stomach idly as Logan kissed him again, more slowly this time. When he pulled away, Finn chased his mouth, his eyes closed and his lips swollen and bitten-red. Logan felt his heart squeeze and his dick twitch at the sight.
“Gorgeous,” he said again, quiet and reverent, and ran a hand through Finn’s mussed-up hair. He took a second to lean over and kiss Leo for good measure, and he could practically feel how turned on Leo was by this, too.
A happy sigh beneath them made them both break the kiss and look. “Fucking love watching you two,” Finn said with a dopey grin. “Never gets old.”
That drew both of their attention back to him, and soon he had two pairs of lovely hands mapping his skin, two wickedly talented mouths drawing soft, low sounds out of him. Logan sucked a bruise into the side of Finn’s neck, just under his ear, as Leo pressed a few slow, open-mouthed kisses to the base of his cock before grinning up at him (fuck) and sinking down on him until the tip of his nose brushed the soft-coarse hair below Finn’s navel.
"Oh—Leo, fuck—Logan—” Finn was so glad they'd dropped the pretense of the roleplay because he was quickly getting a little too far under to remember anything but his gorgeous boys' names. Logan combed his fingers through Finn's hair again and again as Leo worked his magic on the redhead's cock, slurping when he pulled up near the head, swallowing and breathing through his nose to take Finn into his throat.
“Don’t come yet,” Logan instructed.
Finn whined, knee knocking into Leo’s shoulder as he shuddered with pleasure.
“Harzy,” he warned. He caught Leo’s eye as he looked up at him questioningly. Logan just winked in response, then grabbed lube out of the bedside table drawer and knelt behind Leo, drawing him up onto his knees, too.
“Don’t get him too good,” he said to Leo, borrowing a phrase he’d picked up from him. The anticipatory shiver that rolled through Leo as he ran his palm down each asscheek, then circled his rim with a slick fingertip, was worth every bit of chirping he was going to take from Kuny tomorrow. “You’re giving me a show, remember? I want to see him fill you.”
That got a moan out of both them, Leo's louder as he nodded his consent—and Logan worked the first finger inside him. "I can—I can take two, Mando—Lo, please.” The roleplay was a little hazy now that the armor had come off, but none of them much cared. Logan bit Leo's shoulder and then soothed it with a kiss, giving his lover another finger, at his request.
"You guys are gonna fuckin' kill me, I swear—Lo, lemme cum—"
"Non. You'll cum in him after I do."
"Fuck yeah I want both, I want you both—" Leo rocked his hips back on Logan's hand, but Logan stopped him with a hand on his hip.
"Be good and you'll get both."
Leo, ever the team player, obeyed, melting into Logan’s hold as he was prepped. He had to pull his mouth off Finn twice more after bringing him to the edge; Logan watched those big goalie hands pet down Finn’s chest and flanks soothingly as Finn obeyed, too. (They were being so good for him. Logan was going to make it worth their while.)
The first press of his cock inside Leo was pure bliss, just like always. Logan’s eyes darted everywhere: at the sight of himself disappearing into Leo, at Leo’s strong back and the slightly sweaty blonde curls at the nape of his neck as he swallowed Finn down again, at Finn’s wrecked, desperate expression and pale fingers gripping the sheets as if for dear life.
He knew it would be over soon—they were all too fired up to take it slow—so the pace he set was fast, giving Leo the short, sharp thrusts that would get them both there before Finn lost it completely. He could tell Leo wanted it just as badly, groaning as he pushed his hips back to meet him.
“Gonna come,” Logan said tightly, reaching around to take Leo’s cock in hand. Leo’s strangled cry made Finn thrash and Logan pick up the pace, jacking Leo to the quick tempo of his thrusts.
“Oh my god, oh—yeah, Tremz, come on, wannahaveitgimmeitplease?”
Logan dropped his head between Leo’s shoulder blades and moaned long as low as he pulsed inside him, hips grinding slowly as he rode it out. He smiled to himself as he felt Leo start to come a few seconds later, stroking him through it and savoring the shocked little laugh that tumbled out of him as Logan got him nice and full and spent.
Well, hopefully not spent-spent. He still wanted to see their plan through. Logan looked over Leo's shoulder at Finn, who looked like he was trying very, very hard not to spontaneously combust.
Leo had stopped the blowjob while he came which seemed to give Finn just a moment to calm himself. But now he had two sets of eyes on him. Finn swallowed thickly and his cock twitched against his lower belly.
"Leo, do you still want—?"
"Yes I want it, I want him, m'fucking good for it." Leo let out a soft noise when Logan pulled out.
"You know what to do then, O'Hara. Give him his second and make him messy."
Finn groaned and covered his face with his hands. "You can't just say shit like that after Nutty's just given me the succ of my life and then not let me cum—jesus—" By then, Leo had already shifted, climbing up on top of Finn so Logan could line them up.
Leo looked down at him and gently moved one hand out of the way. "There's my handsome guy. You ready Fish?"
"Yeah baby, fucking give it to me."
Leo wasted no time; he sank down onto Finn’s cock as he guided Finn’s hands to his waist, squeezing them in a quick pulse as Finn got the message and held him there.
Logan almost missed Leo’s hushed “fuck yes” under the punched-out moan that escaped Finn’s lips as Leo found his seat. Finn was beautiful like this, utterly breathless and flushed down to his freckled chest. Logan’s hand was tender as it brushed red hair away from Finn’s eyes.
“I like you desperate,” he murmured, which earned him one of the surprised little laughs Finn often gave them in bed. Logan wanted to kiss the point of his smile-scrunched nose, so he did.
“You two,” was all Finn said before kissing him, as though that answered everything about his current state. Logan’s chest swelled with pride as he realized that for Finn, it did.
The grin on Leo’s face was a little wild, a little sex-drunk, as he started to move (and oh, did he move. Logan had literally just fucked him, but he was still a tiny bit jealous as he watched pure bliss blossom over Finn’s handsome face).
“Holy fuck, Le,” Finn managed. He pushed his hips up a few times, trying to meet Leo, but his shaking legs flattened on the bed after a minute. He was going, going, gone, and so was Leo. Logan wanted to get them the rest of the way there.
"Can you give us another, soleil? Can you cum all over Finn's pretty chest as he fills you up?" Logan kissed Leo's cheek and took hold of his cock, causing a gorgeous little hitch in Leo's hips that had all three of them groaning. "He's so close, aren't you, Rouge?"
"I'm there, I'm there, holy fuck, Le—Lo—baby, I'm there, can I? Let me, please can I?” There was nothing so beautiful as Finn O'Hara spread out and flushed with pleasure and begging to cum. He made the prettiest picture and his cock just felt so good inside of Leo that…
"You can cum, Finn, be good and cum and fill him up." Logan gave him permission and kissed his forehead as Leo threw his head back and rode their redhead as hard as he could.
As long as he lived, Logan would never, ever not be transfixed by the sight of his boys like this. The way Finn arched his back, eyes falling shut as he moaned so pretty and gave himself over to it; the way Leo laughed around a “yes, yes, yes!” as he got what he wanted and then followed Finn close behind, knees jerking inward on either side of Finn’s hips as he came harder than he had the first time, shaking in their hold on him.
It was like Logan could feel it, too, and it made him needy all over again. His cock twitched against his thigh, but he ignored it in favor of stroking Leo through the aftershocks and run fingertips down the ladder of Finn’s ribs as he gave every last drop to Leo.
Soon, though, both of them went a little boneless, Finn slipping out of Leo as Leo pitched forward to lay chest to chest. Finn looked a bit squashed, but he wasn’t complaining; he kissed Leo’s sweat-damp temple and rubbed his back in a slow rhythm. Logan knelt beside them and bit his lip against a groan as he closed a hand around himself, chasing a second orgasm. He’d join the cuddle puddle in a moment, he just needed to…
“Lemme,” Finn slurred, eyes already half-lidded as Leo pet his hair. He shot a hand out but missed, grazing Logan’s thigh; Logan laughed even as he stroked himself faster, gripped a little tighter.
“Stay,” Logan teasingly commanded. “ ‘M close. I’m—merde, you two…”
He jumped a little as he felt a hand grip him by the back of the knee and pull him closer.
“C’mere,” Leo said, sounding just as sleepily sated as Finn even as he urged Lo closer. “On me, on me, please?”
Logan was about to say something about Leo being messy enough, but then Leo arched a little so his ass was on display, displayed for Logan, and said “please?” again. Logan watched as cum trickled out of him and realized it could be his or Finn’s, and that was it—he shifted closer, jacked himself quick and hard for another few seconds, and painted Leo from the small of his back to the tops of his thighs.
All three of them were breathing heavily, sort of all smushed together in a pile of hockey players on their huge bed. That was truly one of the best parts of their sex ritual; however they ended up, they were snuggling. Eventually, Finn cleared his throat.
"So, uh, not to be that guy and question such an awesome thing that brought about mutual orgasms, but like…where the fuck did all that come from?! I mean, I loved it—the voice and the armor and the roleplay and the armor, but like. Where did all that come from?" He flapped his hands a little from where he was pinned under Leo, and it got chuckles out of Leo and Logan. But then Leo turned and peeked at Logan.
"...That's not your suit, is it?"
"Non. It's a rental."
"Right, but from who?"
Logan sat up and kissed Leo's shoulder and got up to get a flannel. "...it might have been Kuny."
"Ohhhh my God, we're about to get chirped so fucking bad," Finn lamented, even as Leo pressed smiley little kisses all over his freckled neck and shoulder.
"Mm, and I'm going to be fucking sore tomorrow, but it was worth it. Right, Marshal?"
"God… You'd make such a pretty Jedi, Le. The prettiest."
"Et moi? Do I get a thank you?" Logan returned with the cloth and began to clean up Leo.
"Consider my crush on Pedro Pascal officially replaced. New celebrity crush is Logan Tremblay in a Mandalorian costume."
"Hear-hear, seconded and the motion passes. But when you give the armor back…" Finn paused and caught Logan's eye with a grin. "Ask if that website has Jedi robes."

Finally started watching The Acolyte this evening - First episode did a good job hooking me in.
Joking with my dad about how Carrie-Anne Moss was well-suited to play a Jedi due to her role in The Matrix - Familar with both sci-fi technobabble and wire-work fight scene choreography.
This led to a half-joke that at this point it does kind of feel it's sort of inevitable that *every* celebrity is going to make an appearance in the Star Wars universe.
Dad quipped - "Except Shatner"
Which, yeah, that's accurate.
And while I wouldn't necessarily want Shatner himself, given the turn towards being a real asshole these past few years (far beyond just the pompous egotist he kind of always was), I think honestly, in another world, it would actually kind of be a great bit to have a chair turn and reveal him as a Jedi Master.
And the thought occurs - Having any of the Star Trek cast members s appear as Jedi (or any other role) would be pretty great for a chuckle. Like, give Brent Spiner or Robert Picardo voice roles as droids. Marina Sirtis already knows the schtick for playing an empath, it'd translate completely well to being a Jedi.
Then, the thought occurred to me - Star Trek characters with their basic personalities, but in Star Wars (And I'm sure there's plenty of fanfic already written of this, out there).
Kirk as a hotshot young Jedi, on the frontlines with Anakin. Sisko and Janeway (I mean, assuming she's not a Sith...) running the strategy of The Clone Wars alongside Mace Windu, and proving absolutely ruthless in battle.
Archer doing his "Ah, Sucks" diplomatic routine alongside Obi-Wan, convincing the galaxy that the Jedi are toothless and will try to talk everyone into their way of seeing things, while Kira, Worf, and Seven are busy coordinating and organizing resistances alongside Saw Gererra, and Garak and Bashir work with Cassian Andor and/or The crew of The Ghost to steal all the Empire's secrets (I realize I'm heavily intermixing timelines here, I don't care).
Chewie and B'Elanna Torres either are best friends or bitter rivals.
Picard would rather be happily exploring and studying ancient Jedi ruins, but he keeps being called on by the council as one of their more effective generals. He's somehow found a way to avoid ever taking a Padawan.
Q and Yoda frequently debate all manner of things. It's often unclear how serious either of them is with *literally* anything they say. Mostly, it seems to be a game of who can frustrate the other most quickly/thoroughly. Nobody's quite sure how Q fits into things with the Force. He refuses to elaborate.
Quark is tending bar in Mos Eisley or somewhere similar. Or maybe still DS9/the equivalent of it - Which, either way, of course, ends up being in the outer rim near enough to Tatooine. He thinks he's a bigger deal in the Hutt syndicate than he actually is. He of course still is fundamentally not ruthless or craven enough to fully be an outright gangster/mobster. Nog bucks the trend of Ferengi generally not being Force Sensitive and is a Padawan (Perhaps to Obi-Wan).
[It still feels like a huge wasted opportunity that they never gave him another one on Clone Wars. Also makes the "a pupil of mine until he turned to evil" line in New Hope retroactively weird - "A" pupil, Obi? He was your *only* pupil!]
Anyway, like Toydarians, Ferengi are resistant to Force mind powers [I guess that's just something you get if you're a race of hyper-capitalists that have some unfortunate design implications?]. You would think they were likely to be members of the Trade Federation, and therefore part of the Confederacy - And many are - But, by and large, they're too individualistic to have their whole culture join any one side.
Vulcans, naturally, make for powerful Jedi - But, I'm sure to some people's surprise, so do Klingons. And their concern with honour means they have a shockingly low rate of turning to the Dark Side [Klingon Jedis are much more like Worf, having that formal, controlled environment they're raised in]. Of course, those without force powers get along swimmingly with Mandalorians. There's probably more than a few Klingon foundlings under those Mandalorian helmets.

Life After Richmond pt. 4
MASTERLIST
A Jason Sudeikis multi-chapter RPF w/a reader insert OFC. No use of y/n l/n.
Chapter 1
Chapter 2
Chapter 3
Chapter 4
Callie landed at Heathrow to rain, a lot of rain. Fortunately the car Apple had provided was ready and waiting for her. She went straight to her sister’s flat to drop off her suitcase. It was stupidly early, thanks to her overnight flight and Beth was waiting with breakfast. The sisters hugged tightly. Callie ate and planned to take a quick nap while Beth headed to work. She had a rare Saturday evening off so they made plans to go out that night. Callie fired off a message in their group chat to let Jason and Brett know she’d landed and invited them out that night. When she woke up at lunchtime, they’d switched it up and invited her and Beth to their pre-planned night out to a karaoke bar. She’d gone to raid Beth’s fridge when the door buzzer went off. She checked the video doorbell to see Jason on the doorstep so buzzed him in. She was head first in her suitcase trying to find something more appropriate to wear than the t-shirt she’d fallen asleep in when he pushed at the slightly ajar front door.
“Hey, you here?”
“Yeah, hang on, I’ll be right out.” she replied, slightly breathless. She’d just have to put her yoga leggings back on. Fine, had the top offered a bit more coverage. Instead she felt very exposed, the soft materials clinging to her. “Sorry, I’ve only just woken up.”
“We finished early today - don’t usually do Saturdays so I said to Brett I’d swing by and see you. He gave me Beth’s address.”
“Ahh that’s fine, she’s working for a few more hours anyway.” They hovered awkwardly, not quite standing far enough apart but also not standing directly in each other's space. Callie stepped forwards with a small smile to hug him, he willingly met her and wrapped his arms around her.
“Good to see you.”
“You too, not quite as long as 6 months this time though.”
“Long enough.” he murmured against her hairline. “Brett’s just finishing up on set, want to go and get him for lunch?”
“Yesss, definitely I’m starving, I’ll just get changed. Make yourself at home.” She moved away and headed for the spare room to fight again with her suitcase. A pair of jeans and a Star Wars t-shirt later, she was ready to go. They walked to the nearest tube station and Callie led Jason through the maze of tunnels to the correct platform. The train was hot and crowded, each bump along the track pushed Callie closer to him until he put a hand on her hip to steady her and keep her from getting pulled along with the crowd leaving the train. She could feel the fire on her skin where his fingertips caught the edge of her top and brushed against the exposed skin and had to look away so he couldn’t see the flush in her cheeks or the rush of breath she let out. Finally, they were pushed out into the sunlight again at their destination where Brett was fortunately waiting for them within a few meters. Callie hugged him and let him lead her to a cafe a few doors down with outdoor seating. She chose to sit next to Brett in order to put a table's distance between her and Jason, but it meant she’d have to look directly at him. With his baseball cap pulled low, he already had sunglasses shielding his eyes. She grabbed her glasses from her bag to similarly hide her eyes. While they chatted happily, she sent a quick message to Laura confirming she’d landed.
‘I got here OK, only to be killed by the looks Jason keeps throwing my way 🥵. Holy crap. WHY DID WE HAVE THAT CONVERSATION RIGHT BEFORE I LEFT? WHY IS THAT ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT?’
She stuffed the phone out of sight and tucked into her sandwich while Jason and Brett talked around her.
“You ok?” Brett nudged her elbow, “I’ve never known you this quiet.”
“I’m fine, just a bit of jet lag. Hence the sunnies.” She spoke to Brett but was watching Jason who had kept looking her way, she’d watched him throughout most of the meal, never quite knowing whether his eyes were on her. Checking his watch, Brett suggested that they leave as they’d be seeing each other again in just a few hours anyway. He left the table to pay the bill. As soon as he was out of earshot, Jason said softly,
“Those glasses ain’t doing shit babe, but if you want to pretend to hide where you’re looking then that’s fine. I know where I've been looking all afternoon.” He smirked a little as she blushed, she felt the heat pool in her stomach at the deep, husky tone of his voice but was saved from responding by Brett coming back to the table.
“Ready to go? Cal, do you want us to get you back to Beth’s?”
“Don’t be an idiot, I’m perfectly capable, thank you. I’ll see you both later.” She stood quickly and waved in their general direction rather than getting drawn into another hug from Jason. She headed down to the underground, out of the sun and out of Jason's eyeline at last.
By the time Beth got home shortly after Callie, she found Callie wringing her hands.
"It just feels like something has changed somehow. It's like it's all suddenly supercharged. And I can't escape him, and I'm not sure I want to? But I don't know what to do with that information?" Beth had barely walked through the door when Callie started bombarding her.
"Woah, relax, open some wine and take a breath." Beth held her hands up. "Right, first of all, what time are we off out? So I know where to pitch the advice and how long we've got."
"Meeting them any time after 8 at that new karaoke place."
"Right, so we can be fashionably late if need be. Let's take this a point at a time, you've suddenly realised that you're wildly attracted to Jason?" Callie nodded. "That's not new news sweetheart. Second, you see him today and things are weird?" Callie nodded again. "Again, not news. Of course things are fucking weird! You flirt like mad all day long and then switch to work mode. You're both dancing around each other and neither of you are making a move. You push, he pulls and visa versa, you're in this constant dance of seeing who's going to 'crack' first." Callie deflated into her wine with a sigh and sat in silence for a few minutes.
"You're right." She finally admitted. "I'm overthinking and self sabotaging and I need to chill the fuck out. Either something or nothing will happen and I do have control over it all." Beth smiled at her sister.
"Atta girl. Don't let what happened with that dickhead make you doubt yourself or what you're worthy of. Jason seems to be a really genuine and lovely guy. It's as simple as that."
"I know. I mean, I don't know what to do about being so stupidly attracted to him that I can't breathe, but one step at a time, eh? God I swear he was out to kill me today. He was doing it on purpose."
"The cure for that is to drink until you don't notice and wind him up in equal measure." Beth laughed.
"Well then I'm fucked because I'll be utterly wasted and will probably spill the beans to him. I can't imagine how much alcohol I'd need to not think he's hot!" Callie looked horrified.
"Maybe that would be the perfect outcome! Shut up and drink up. I haven't had a night out in ages, let's get ready to gooo!" Beth poured them both another glass and pulled her sister out of the chair. With Beth surging into action,  Callie found herself the victim of a sisterly takeover. "If he's having fun with these little games and his sunglasses and putting his hand on your hip, then you can push back too! Let's see if he can take as good as he gives, yeah? You're gonna look so, so fit tonight, he's gonna wish he'd made a move already!" Callie sat cross-legged on the bed, looking somewhat sceptical.
"I dunno about that, Beth. I don't have your confidence! I just end up looking like a fool. Also I could be reading this entirely wrong, he might not even be remotely attracted to me."
'Ahh, why on earth do you think we're drinking right now? False confidence, baby! Just enough to give you a bit of a swing in your step, and then you can avoid him most of the night and have fun! I think you’ll know within about 5 seconds whether he’s into you. And if you’re too blind to see it then I’m not. Were his little lunchtime games not indication enough?" Callie conceded and went along with Beth's masterplan. She let Beth help to choose her outfit, help with a little extra makeup than she'd normally wear, and was persuaded into the shoes which made her calf muscles and glutes ache. They finished a bottle and a half of wine and poured into their Uber with Beth doing a "Two and a half drink Callie is super flirty and fit Callie!" chant. It was nearer 9 when they arrived at the bar, Callie called Brett, who came out to take them through to the private room available to them. She immediately spotted Jason at the far end of the bar and could see that he'd also seen her, she held her hand up in a small wave which he returned. She let Brett get them a drink first and then let him introduce her to just about everyone in the room. The route he took meant they wouldn't actually get around to Jason and Brendan until the end of the tour. Callie felt eyes on her at every point they stopped - hugs with most of the team cast, when she had Kola and Phil on either side of her, a few minutes with James reminiscing about old Channel 4 TV shows. The closer they got to the far end of the bar, the more Callie's confidence grew. The final stop off was with Hannah and Juno. Brett left them to 'girl talk' while he went to get more drinks.
"Oh, thank god he’s gone for a minute, I thought I was going to have to talk in code!" Beth breathed. "You're playing a blinder, Cal. I'm surprised you haven't spontaneously combusted. Oooh, the heat!" Callie paused in talking to Juno to look straight ahead past Beth. She caught Jason's eye and smiled briefly before looking away and devoting her attention back to Juno.
"I'm glad you've noticed too! As soon as you guys walked in, it was like someone had lit a fire in here!" Hannah giggled.
"He has definitely not been subtle." Juno added.
"Alright, alright. I'm trying not to overthink this, so I'm trying to not give a shit whether he's looking or not. I feel like a fucking teenager. I need to go and say hi. I've seen everyone except him, and I haven't met Brendan yet and I’m dying to meet him. I'm going in, ladies. Wish me luck."
"You don't need it. I'm putting you down for a song though, OK babe? Don't worry, I won't stuff you with a Whitney number, we save those for Han." Juno added Callie to the karaoke app and she left the three ladies engrossed in choosing a song. Callie swayed her hips gently as she walked over to the bar, trying to exude elegance and confidence.
"Here she is, thought you weren’t gonna come and say hi," Jason teased. He greeted her as usual, with a hug and a kiss on her cheek. He held her for an extra second, just long enough to whisper in her ear; "you look beautiful." She shivered as his breath caught her ear, and she was certain he must have noticed.
"Just saving the best til last, obviously," she smiled before turning to Brendan, "So that must be you, I’m so excited to finally meet you. Jason and Brett talk about you constantly. I swear they are both head over heels in love with you." Brendan welcomed her warmly while Jason laughed into his drink.
"I've heard a lot about you too. Congrats on the book - and the show. They're so excited to be working on it. I have to keep reminding them to finish off here first!"
"Thank you. Yeah, I might have to come to you for advice on coping with them. I don't want to get into a 'don't feed the gremlins after midnight' situation." Callie talked with Brendan and Jason for a while, Jason's arm had stretched across her back so he could put his hand on the bar and she leaned into it slightly to relieve the pressure on her feet. Brendan was just about to excuse himself when Hannah's voice carried across the room via the microphone.
"Callie darling, it's your turn."
"Ah crap. I'd hoped Juno was joking." Brendan shook his head,
"They never joke about karaoke. You should get up there - it's worse when one of them has to come and find you."
"That’s true, he’s right. What have they got you singing?" Jason asked, handing her a drink.
"No idea, but I think I'll need this, thank you." She raised her glass and reluctantly moved away from Jason. Beth, Hannah, and Juno had chosen a Taylor Swift song, clearly with Beth's input and gentle direction. Callie froze for a moment on the small stage, quickly reading ahead the first few lines so she knew which song was about to be her downfall. The song was ‘Dress’, which Jason had already caught her singing along to once before. The lyrics had seemed pretty apt at the time anyway, but now, they were a damn neon sign above her head. Callie shook off the dread and gave it her all. After a few drinks she did enjoy a bit of karaoke so it’s not like she’d been dragged into it. She made sure to avoid looking over at the bar, but the lyrics were so overt that there was no need to add fuel to the fire anyway. She finished the song with a little bow and bounced down the steps into Hannah's waiting arms. Enveloped in a girl's hug, she felt on top of the world. For a karaoke bar, the group didn't spend much time singing, so she was quickly whisked away to the dance floor. There was just enough time to deposit her empty glass on the bar. As she turned to leave, Jason held her elbow.
"That's the second time I've heard you sing that."
"Hmm. It's a good one."
"You should go and dance, Callie, before they send a search party." She held his gaze for a moment longer. Had he used her name on purpose? Say my name, and everything just stops. She dismissed the thought and gave his arm a squeeze before heading off to dance. She spent well over an hour in the throng of the crowd, dancing hard with her friends. Song after song, she cheered and shouted for the ones who jumped up to do karaoke and she sang at the top of her lungs until she was hoarse. Eventually she gestured to Beth that she was going to the bar, and escaped the group. She headed back to the bar using her hands to try and fan some air to her face. She leaned into where Jason sat to catch her breath. He automatically wrapped an arm around her waist and she pressed into his side with her arm over his shoulders. With him sitting on a barstool, they were nearly the same height.
"Thank you for inviting us, this is such a good place!" She had to lean in close to speak into his ear, her breath tickling on his neck. He handed her a bottle of water which she gratefully took, while he continued talking with Billy and Phil. Her feet were really starting to hurt. She fidgeted uncomfortably and he twisted in the seat so that she could stand between his knees and rest more against the chair. Her hand moved to his thigh to hold herself steady and she listened to their conversation. With Jason directly behind her, his voice carried over her shoulder making her shiver.
“Hey, you should come too Callie?” Billy pulled her into the conversation.
“What’s that, sorry?”
“We’re going to the football tomorrow, do you wanna come?”
“Billy, I’m not sure Callie’s a football fan, plus she’s probably majorly jet lagged.”
“Who’s playing?” She asked curiously, she was an armchair fan but didn’t follow religiously.
“Arsenal and Liverpool.”
“I don’t want to tag along if I’m not wanted-” she started to say before Jason interrupted,
“You are, I just… wasn’t sure it was your thing?”
“I’m a closet Liverpool fan actually, my Nanna supported them. Plus, they were quite the team of heartthrobs in my teenage years.”
“Stevie G?” Phil questioned,
“Stevie, Xabi Alonso… that Champions League miracle final in Istanbul? Oh my god. I cried so much. Anyway, now I just love Jurgen Klopp.”
“What a man,” Billy agreed, “you’re coming then? Maybe you’ll get to meet him.”
“I couldn’t, I’d be too starstruck. Just being in the same stadium as Mo Salah might kill me off.” They laughed, told her to sort the logistics with Brendan who was organising the outing and went off for another round of karaoke.
“And there you go surprising me again.” Jason muttered. She slid off the seat and turned to face him, not quite realising the proximity until she’d turned around.
“Keeping you on your toes.” She smiled, taking a slightly shaky breath. Still standing between his knees with her hands on his thighs and at eye level Callie felt suddenly sober and nervous. She quickly realised that she didn’t really want to draw such attention to herself in a room full of his closest friends and colleagues, she knew that if anyone looked across at them in that moment, they’d look very much like a couple and she wasn’t sure how she’d answer those questions should they arise. “I think I’m going to… go.” She decided firmly. He couldn’t hide the disappointment, but nodded anyway.
“If that’s what you want.”
“I’m exhausted and-” she paused, looking away from him, his hand moved to her hip.
“And?” Callie was about to respond when Beth joined them,
“Oooh four drink touchy feely Callie is here!” Callie rolled her eyes and reluctantly went to move. Jason held her hips tightly for a moment longer,
“Get some sleep sweetheart, this ain’t a race.” He kissed her forehead and let her move, then he stepped down from the barstool to hug Beth. “I think you’re the one taking touchy feely Callie home, Beth.”
“That’s a shame, you’d love her!” Beth laughed, swaying on the spot, “She can’t keep her hands to herself!” Callie covered her face with her hand.
“Fuck me Beth, can you not? Come on, time to go.” She took Beth’s hand, gave Jason a brief smile and waved in the general direction of the crowd. The air outside was fresh and cool. She hadn’t realised just how warm it was inside. She bundled Beth into a cab and once home, put her into bed with a glass of water and ibuprofen. Wide awake and full of giddiness, Callie made a cup of tea before going to bed. She took off her makeup and changed her clothes, sliding under the covers. Jason had sent a message while she’d been looking after Beth,
‘Hope you got back ok. I’ll pick you up at 1pm tomorrow so you can declare your love to Jurgen Klopp.’
‘All fine here, thanks. I’d get a shirt before the match but I plan on sleeping for the next 12 hours. As wonderful as Klopp is, he just can’t pull off the hoodie and baseball cap combo the way some others can.’
‘It’s a look that takes dedication. See you tomorrow, sleeping beauty.’
She shut off her phone and fell into a deep sleep. She missed Beth going out to work, missed breakfast, and emerged with just enough time to shower and sling on a pair of jeans and a top before the football. She jumped into the waiting minibus at exactly 1pm with a half eaten croissant in hand and sunglasses on to hide her tired eyes.
“Alright Callie?” The boys chimed as she joined them.
“Hey everyone. Good night, sore heads?” She queried jumping into the first spare seat she found next to James. She received various groans and sighs in reply. Brendan and Jason were across the narrow aisle and she lifted her glasses to say hello properly.
“Caught up on your sleep?” Jason asked.
“God, never. Always happy for more.” she yawned unexpectedly. He reached around Brendan and put a paper bag into her lap. “What’s this?”
“I had a little time this morning.” She brushed the croissant crumbs away and dipped into the bag, pulling out a Liverpool home kit shirt with ‘SALAH’ on the back. She shrieked with glee and pulled it straight on over her t-shirt.
“Oh my god, thank you! I can’t reach you to hug you.”
“Later. Hope it’s ok?”
“It’s better than ok!” She beamed. The match was exciting and frenetic. There were none of the tensions of the previous night though, she was completely comfortable with Jason and they fit back together easily both shouting their way through the match. She could almost forget that they’d been one dark corridor or moment alone from a kiss. Had Beth not interrupted, she’d have put money on it happening, it had felt so inevitable. After the match, she got to meet Klopp, Salah and a handful of other players. The Ted cast were treated like royalty. Brendan’s super bus dropped her back off at the flat in the early evening and she collapsed on the sofa with Beth to watch a movie and relax.
She took Monday off and spent the day at the flat writing on and off, sharing ideas with Brett and Jason in their group chat and blasting 00’s pop songs from her laptop. They were most of the way through outlining the first season of the show but they were having trouble moving into the final section. There were some storylines which Callie wasn’t willing to give up on, and she was fed up with fighting over it. She suggested that she go to set on Tuesday, and then they'd planned the Wednesday to Friday to be working sessions at Jason’s with the Ted cast taking a long weekend off. Early on Tuesday morning, she packed up her bag and headed to Richmond where a few of the cast and crew were already working. She set up on a bench near the makeup trailer and dived into her work. The morning air was cold and she’d only put a thin jumper on, she looked around for someone to pinch a jacket from - she’d already seen Phil and Cristo but they’d gone off to film.
“Looking for something or someone?” a voice called behind her.
“Aha, you actually.” she grinned. Jason was dressed for a set day rather than a filming day, hat and hoodie firmly in place.
“Found me. Everything ok?”
“Yeah, just cold. Is there a jacket I can borrow?” He pulled off his hoodie and handed it over.
“Is this ok for now? If you want to come with me, we can get something better if you want?” Callie pulled it over her head, his scent surrounding her and making her dizzy.
“No, this is perfect, thanks.”
“It suits you. If you want to take a break, I can show you around - get you a bit of background so you know why Brett’s pushing for certain things?” he alluded to their ongoing battle over the storyline.
“Hmm. If you can show me a good reason why it won’t work, then I might be persuaded. I’m not going down without a fight though?”
“I would never expect you to.” He laughed and she followed him through the set. She spent much of the day by his, Chip’s or Brendan’s side watching them work. She took it all on board and Jason watched proudly as she made notes and constantly asked questions. They were filming late into the evening so she stuck around, joining the cast for takeout as the day drew to a close. Brett offered to walk her to the tube station so she took him up on it, hoping to make peace.
“It matters to the story, Brett, it’s got to happen - it’s one of the main plotlines!”
“But how can we fit it in? It also doesn’t move the story forward at all.”
“It adds context, it provides background.”
“We can show that in other ways. Cal, trust me - there’s no way we can script this without it being a distraction rather than a benefit.”
“I don’t believe you, there’s got to be a way.”
“You’re driving me mad with this.”
“I’m driving you mad? Look, let’s go through it again tomorrow. Jason can referee. I’m not trying to be difficult, I’m trying to understand.”
“Jason is not an impartial ref and you bloody know it.”
“He’s one of your best mates.”
“And yours too from what I can see. Maybe more than.”
“Don’t start, there’s nothing going on there.”
“Not yet.” He griped.
“My train’s coming, I’m going home, I don’t need to stick around to have you lay into me for something that hasn’t even happened.”
“Well you must be blind if you think it’s not going to happen.”
“I’ll make that decision, thanks. See you tomorrow.” Callie boarded the train without a second glance. She went to bed, ignoring the unread messages on her phone and still angry at Brett.
The next morning, she took the tube again to the address Jason had sent through. She returned Jason’s hoodie and while they tried to work, it just wasn’t flowing. The argument with Brett was still brewing in the background and added an underlying tension through the day. They worked their way through other plot points, potential future season arcs but it was stilted and strained. In the end, Callie held up her hands.
“I’m going home, I think that’s enough for today, don’t you?” she said firmly, admitting defeat after Brett had nixed another of her ideas.
“First time we’ve agreed all day.” He rolled his eyes, Callie scoffed and shook her head.
“Right. I’ll see you both later.” She was out the door before Brett had even moved from the table, slamming it hard behind her.
“Don’t be too hard on her, she’s new to all of this.”
“I’m not being too hard, she’s being too… flippant. She thinks she can just do whatever she wants with no consequences.”
“Maybe that’s true, but she’ll figure it out in her own time. In the meantime, we wait.” Brett frowned, not entirely sure whether either of them ware still talking about the show.
Callie climbed into bed without waiting up for Beth. She exchanged messages with Laura who suggested they take a break to Mexico once Callie returned from London.
‘Pack a new bag and whoosh, off we go. A week in Cancun, sun, sea and plenty of margaritas. No phone for you - no work at all for you. Just a week off.’
‘Sounds like bliss. Let’s see how tomorrow goes but one more battle with Brett and I’m going to need to get away from him. He keeps going on about how I can’t have everything I want, my decisions affect others blah blah blah.’
‘Are you sure he’s talking about the show?’
‘How’d you mean?’
‘You’ve got one guy in New York you’re actually dating, but you’re having your cake and eating it in London with whatever is still not happening with Jason. Who has not long gone through a shitshow breakup of his own. Have you considered that Brett’s trying to protect his friend?’
Callie dropped the phone on the bed, so that was it. It wasn’t the plot really - it was Brett disapproving of Callie while she tried to make sense of her feelings. She’d been so desperate to push her own feelings away and pretend that it was just a crush on Jason that the real strength of those feelings had overwhelmed her completely.
The next morning at Jason’s, Brett was nowhere to be seen.
“He’ll be here later, he had some stuff this morning.” Jason explained. They worked throughout the morning until Callie couldn’t ignore her stomach rumbling any longer and started making lunch.
“I’m not just going to turn up at each of your many houses and keep cooking for you, you know?” She teased after plating up eggs benedict for them both.
“You haven’t seen my place in LA yet. You could roller skate around that kitchen.”
“As tempting as that sounds, I’d probably break an ankle. I’m not built for anything that involves balance.”
“You’re a great cook. I’m just reaping the benefits, not taking advantage.”
“Hmnm. They could be the same thing.”
“If I were taking advantage, you’d be here all day every day.” Callie hesitated with her fork part way to her mouth.
“I think those would be completely different circumstances.” She said at last, the front door making her jump. Jason looked at her a moment longer and then turned to Brett.
“Hey man, have you eaten? We saved you some.”
“Thanks, no I haven’t yet. Alright Cal?” He took in Jason and Callie sitting closely side by side at the kitchen island.
“Yeah, you?” He got a plate and pulled Callie’s ponytail as he passed behind her. “Wanker.” She muttered with a smile.
“You pair actually done any work so far today?” He asked.
“Loads without you here.” She teased. He raised an eyebrow and then closed his eyes as he tried Callie’s hollandaise sauce.
“When you’re ready for a new career, I suggest cooking.”
“I’ll bear that in mind when my TV career crashes and burns. Beth and I are cooking tonight if you both want to come?” Both nodded. “I’m going to Mexico with Laura next week once I get back to New York.”
“Lifestyles of the rich and famous.” Jason smiled.
“Hardly. She suggested a break and I figured I should make the most of her not screaming at me about my deadlines. No phones, no work. Just margaritas and sun.”
“Beth can come here if it’s easier? More space to cook?”
“That’s a good idea actually, it’s closer to the restaurant.” Callie called her sister while Brett finished eating.
The afternoon passed without incident, both Brett and Callie on their best behaviour. Laura’s suggestion had opened Callie’s eyes to what the real issue might be so she was willing to cut him a little slack until she could get him alone. Beth arrived with arms full of ingredients and she and Callie got to work on making fresh pasta and meringue kisses. Jason looked across the kitchen to see Callie kneading pasta dough with flour up to her elbows, in her hair and on her forehead, stood next to Beth, both of them bouncing to the music Callie had chosen. “I write to hip hop Jason, I do not cook to hip hop. Pop is for cooking.” Mariah Carey’s Fantasy sounded throughout the downstairs with Callie and Beth both singing along at various points with spoon microphones. “But it's just a sweet sweet fantasy baby. When I close my eyes, you come and you take me. It's so deep in my daydreams, but it's just a sweet sweet fantasy baby.” They sang in fits of laughter. They worked well together, Beth offering advice to Callie about not overfilling the tortellini, not cutting too close to the edge, and the best way to twist them into shape.
Brett offered to pop to the shops to get a couple of bottles of wine and Callie took the opportunity to go with him and clear the air. Beth meanwhile, took her opportunity to get to know Jason a little better.
“I meant to thank you.” She said, stirring the sauce for the pasta.
“What for?”
“Since you turned up at the restaurant all that time ago, she’s just been doing so much better. I know a lot of that is just time and recovering from the break up, it was so fresh when you met her. Honestly, the week before she was an absolute wreck. But a lot of it is down to that day she sent that daft tweet and you replied. You guys seem to have a genuine connection, it’s been so good for her.”
“That’s so lovely to hear, it really is. It’s been a privilege to watch her get better and more confident and happy.”
“You know she likes you? Really likes you?” Beth said quietly, knowing that Callie would likely kill her for overstepping. “Please, don’t tell her we’ve had this conversation. I just… she’s her own worst enemy sometimes. She’ll just carry on in this weird limbo with you until you get bored and meet someone and then she’ll be kicking herself for not doing anything about it when she had the chance. That’s all I’m going to say, do with that what you want - or not - if that’s also the case. Just let her down gently if it is.” Jason didn’t say anything for a long time, he concentrated on finding plates, cutlery and clearing the table.
“I promise you Beth, I’d never hurt her. I’d also never get bored with her.” Beth smiled softly and nodded, hearing the front door.
Brett and Callie had walked 5 minutes round the corner to the nearest mini supermarket. It took a while for either of them to feel ready to talk, Callie felt the apology on the tip of her tongue but couldn’t quite force it out.
“I don’t mean to be so hard on you.” Brett admitted. “It’s fucking cutthroat, I want you to be prepared that just because this has been so easy and seamless and Apple are bending over backwards, doesn’t mean it’ll last forever. They have an empire to protect, you’re just a cog in the network.”
“I know. And I’m grateful, to them and to you and Jason. I don’t intend to let this pass me by.”
“Can I ask you something?” She looked over to him and nodded for him to continue. “What’s going on with you and Jason?”
“Jump straight in the deep end there, babe.” She laughed. “Nothing. I already told you that the other day.” He looked skeptical. “I do like him, ok. I really do. But I am a normal person, trying to live a normal life. I don’t want to rock the boat, I don’t want to risk this working relationship and I really, really don’t want to lose one of the best friends I’ve made since… well, you probably. I have Beth, Laura, you and now Jason. If I do something stupid, make a stupid move or comment or worse, and I lose that core friendship… I don’t even want to think about it. The four of you have built me back up from absolute rock bottom. I will not risk that.”
“Not even for the possibility of something better?” He questioned.
“The price to pay is too high.”
“So you’ll just carry on with this game, while seeing that boring bloke in New York?” She shrugged.
“I don’t know, Brett. I’m just taking things step by step. I’m trying really hard to be seeing someone else, but all I see is him.” Brett took the bag of wine from her and put his arm over her shoulder.
“Fucking hell mate. You do need a holiday.”
“You’re telling me. Now, please keep this just between us? I’ll figure it out in my own time, and if that happens to be too late then so be it.” He rolled his eyes, clearly not agreeing with her but accepting her request.
“Have you two made up now?” Beth asked innocently while adding salad to a big bowl.
“For now. Til he pisses me off again.” Brett took out the wine and handed it to Jason who had glasses lined up. Dinner was a much happier and more animated affair than the previous day and a half had been, the wine and laughter flowed as they discussed previous terrible relationships they were finally able to laugh about.
“Do you remember that bloke who made me call him Chef in bed?!” Beth reminded Callie through tears.
“Oh god, he was awful! He was horrible - why on earth did you go out with him?!”
“One of the waitresses said he was lovely. He was anything but lovely!”
“He literally shouted at you during sex, Beth! During sex. ‘Call me Chef when Im going down on you!’” Callie said in a gruff impersonation before she doubled over with her hands over her face, shoulders shaking with laughter.
“Both of you have been out with some right morons. And I didn’t even meet most of them.” Brett stated.
“Callie wins though. She married a gay man for a green card.”
“Yep, thanks for reminding me. His husband is also far prettier than me.”
“That’s true, he is a beautiful man.”
“They’ve got another baby coming.”
“No way! That’s so cute. Don’t tell mum. She’ll launch into her-”
“‘That could have been you Callie, but you turned that man gay! You could have babies on a farm!’” Callie’s impression of her mother was uncanny, causing Beth to choke on her wine.
“Babies on a fucking farm.” She sniggered.
“Don’t remind me, I’ve got to go and see her at the weekend. I’m going to have flashbacks to tonight and I won’t be able to hold it together.”
“Show your face, make nice and get outta there.” Beth shared their motto of ‘how to visit mum’.
“I can push through it knowing I’m going to be on a beach drinking tequila in five days, baby.”
“Ugh don’t, I’m jealous. I wonder if I can get a tan from the lights on the hot pass?” Beth wondered.
“Well don’t bother texting to tell me, I won’t see it. You’ll just see my tan get progressively better by checking Laura’s Instagram.” Callie teased.
“Tan getting better, you getting drunker, the bikini getting smaller. I remember those holidays. Next time, give me more notice so I can come too!”
“The bikini doesn’t get any smaller nowadays, I’m too old for that.” Callie just managed to clamp her hand over Beth’s mouth before she launched into a rendition of ‘get your tits out for the lads’. “Nooo thank you, I will not be getting them out.”
“Just let me live my life through you please Callie, that’s all I ask.”
“Live your own life, Top Chef. Come on, time to clear up. You’ve finished all the wine and you’re getting rowdy.” Callie helped clear plates and started washing up while Brett kept Beth occupied. Jason worked on clearing the kitchen and bringing things over to Callie at the sink.
“You don’t need to do any of that, you know?”
“It’s ok, we can’t wreck your kitchen and then leave you to it.”
“So it’s a no phone holiday?”
“Yep, gonna miss me?"
"Obviously."
"Think you’ll cope for a week without my daily gifs and spam?”
“Not sure I could last a day.” She laughed,
“Oh you could. You’ll be begging me to never text you again by the time I get back. Silence is golden.”
“You could never. I’d give it a day before you crack.”
“You’re probably right. Where would I get my new playlists from? I don’t trust Spotify, I prefer my personally curated Sudeikis collection.”
“Damn right. I’ll send you a holiday list.” Callie’s face lit up,
“Really? You’re the best, don’t listen to what anyone else says.” She bumped his shoulder.
"So, the last working session tomorrow?"
"Yeah, we should. Now that Brett and I are buddies again we might actually get something done."
"I mean, we can try at least."
"You're a bad influence. I promised Laura I was here to work. All I've done is drink, watch football and hang out with you."
"Worth it though?"
"Totally worth it." She finished washing the dishes and reached up to kiss his cheek. "See you tomorrow."
Brett walked Callie and Beth out and to the tube, saying goodbye to Beth and making plans to pick up coffees and breakfast with Callie on their way back in the morning. Callie eventually flopped into Beth's bed while she made them tea.
"So I cleared the air with Brett." She called out.
"I gathered. All ok now?"
"Yeah. He was worried about Jason, worried about me. I told him where my head was and I think he gets it now."
"That's good. He's a good friend."
"The very best. I told him, you,  Laur, he and now Jason have become this core source of strength for me. I would not have gotten through the last year without you guys."
"And we all love you too my darling." Callie snuggled up to Beth, "I miss you when you're not here."
"I miss you too. You need to visit more."
"I will now you're in New York and not with a dickhead anymore." Callie fell asleep in Beth's bed just as they'd spent so many nights as children. The next morning, she met Brett as planned and they turned up at Jason's together with coffee and breakfast. They worked hard for most of the day before Callie had to get her train to her mums.
"So," she started, packing up her laptop, "You guys finish here next week?"
"That's right, the last shooting day is Thursday. I'm pretty sure there's a wild weekend planned, and then I fly to LA on Sunday."
"Same as me I think, but different flights?" Brett added.
"LA for a month?"
"About that, it depends on the kids and where they need me to be, I haven't got a flight back to New York planned yet."
"OK, and then the real work starts?"
"Oh, you're gonna love contract negotiations, Cal." Brett laughed, Jason pointed at him.
"Dead right. We've got about 6 weeks to get our shit together, and then the real work starts. Fortunately, not telling Apple Dan when I'm back does mean we can get an extra few days if we need them."
"Better keep that one quiet." Brett suggested.
"Sounds like a plan."
"I'm just going to get us a couple of beers,  J. Back in 10. Callie, be good sweetheart. Have a great trip to Mexico."
"Love you Brett, see you later." She accepted his bear hug happily and watched him skip down the steps in the direction of the shop.
"And I'll see you in a few weeks as well." She turned to Jason with open arms.
"Won't be long till we're getting this show going for real." He held her tightly.
"It's been a fun few months planning, I've had a good time."
"Me too." Neither of them moved away, Callie stayed with her arms anchored around Jason's waist. "See you soon, beautiful." He kissed the top of her head and let her go. She pulled her overnight bag up onto her shoulder and headed down the steps with a far heavier step than Brett had. At the bottom, she turned to blow him a kiss before making her way to the tube station. Jason watched until she was out of sight, by which time, Brett had returned with beer.
"You'll see her soon. Bloody romcommunist." Brett teased, pushing Jason back into the house.

Hi hi~! Life update here
Hi there!
Yes, I'm still alive lol, it's just that 85% of my social media time I currently spend it on Twitter (I refuse to call it how Elmo Muskrat wants the site to be called lol), and 15% I spend it on Bluesky (which, by the way, if you wanna find me there, I'm Eirenare too there lol).
I'm still very veeeeeery much in my Reylo brainrot haha, so yeah, you might see me posting or reblogging every now and then some of it, although I've been as well into some other stuff lately (Elden Ring for example), so you might see me posting about that too, so just a heads up there about it (and don't worry, everything I post here, regardless of what it is, as usual it'll have its tags and spoiler warnings, a "read more" if need be, etc).
My energy's been specially low for the past months though to be honest, so I can't guarantee I'll be very active around here (except for private messages, I'll be checking these every little time), just that every now and then I'll come here and post or reblog some stuff, probably Reylo and other things Star Wars or series/movies, life updates too, maybe will share in a bit of my Elden Ring brainrot and theories as its DLC approaches and I get more and more excited.
Anyways, here's some random life update stuff and anecdotes that I wanted to say before I log off for the night here:
I fell into the Kalluzeb (Kallus x Zeb, from Star Wars Rebels) rabbithole some time ago and it was, and is, neat, I love them so much
earlier today I had churros and hot chocolate as desert at lunch time and I was in cloud nine all the while I chomped on them
apparently my brain won't cease to come up with new Reylo AUs which is amazing and so much fun but also if I ever showed you guys screenshots of my Google Docs you might just faint because there are just so many things there between WIPs I'm currently working on that are already on Ao3, future things to go on Ao3, vague WIPs, AU ideas... and my energy is running so low and I'm working on various Ao3 WIPs so yeah lol I don't think I'll ever write even half of the fics I noted down
I watched Barbie at the cinema and it became one of my new comfort movies and one of my fave movies of all time
somehow I'm not as bad as I thought I'd be at Elden Ring even though I'm clumsy, a scaredycat and my tunnel vision goes lvl 100 when I'm playing videogames which usually means "good luck remembering to look at your stamina bar and using key items", so seeing myself not get too stuck on bosses was unexpected and neat (in fact, funnily enough: somehow this game even makes my anxiety lower at times and it barely increases it at all even when I'm fighting bosses, go figure lol)
I had the chance to buy Final Fantasy XVI at a much cheaper price than release price but because at that site I didn't see any warning that it was temporary, by the time I went to buy it, it had risen price again so now I'm awaiting once again for both better prices and for my wallet to recover
my brother bought a PS5 back in spring and a copy of Star Wars Jedi Survivor and, since we live in the same house, I did play that game and it was amazing asdfgffdgfjfb there were only a very few things I didn't like that much but holy shit was it good, some stuff even felt tailor-made for me in ways I wasn't expecting but that I enjoyed very much (and also the tears, the rivers of tears I shed on certain scenes lol) and now I'm super hyped for the 3rd whenever it is that it'll happen
the official Star Wars accounts at Twitter have been posting quite a bit about Reylo and the sequels and Ben for the past days (and I gotta say, the account from Spain even added some extra Reylo flavor in some tweets that other accounts didn't which is curious) and I'm clowning kinda hard, hoping that DLF finally realized most of the people actually like a lot Reylo (or don't mind it) and the ST, and hoping (always hoping, always dreading to hope too much, but hoping anyways) that we'll get Rey and Ben reunited in her movie
Anyways x2, enough anecdotes and thoughts for the night, see you around lovely people~! <3 Hopefully soon lol, but if not... *looks at 2024 fast approaching* if not, then I'll 100% be around to gossip and scream for when the Rey movie begins production and talks begin and all that stuff, lol.
Good night~! :D I hope you have a great day and/or a good sleep~! <3
EDIT: looooool apparently this was my 100th post in here and I got a free badge for my profile so yay, nice~ x) XDD

Finally saw Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania last night and now clicking through the general reviews... well... I do get the overall “why is everything CG in blockbusters, especially Marvel”. Oh, I want more shots on set and more practical effects. But this film is set in the quantum realm. Yes, it did not have to look so Star Wars-y (somebody better put the Mos Eisley Cantina music over that bar scene), but of all the things to bemoan that isn’t such a big deal in this film particularly?!
One reason the second Ant-Man is one of my absolute fav MCU films is the fact it’s not about saving the entire planet. Kinda low stakes and all, very character focused. And in lots of ways Quantumania (sadly) is the opposite of that. But also Kang is among my least cared about villains, I loathe so many times I would read Avengers and boom who shows up... ugh. Do. Not. Care. I already feared Kang would come after Thanos before Phase 2 was over. And here we are. But I think this version, for this movieverse, could overall be very entertaining. So hooray for that. It absolutely IS weird to set him up within an Ant-Man movie though. Then again breaking formula in a way?? Everybody else on these soulcrushing rides, adventures about personal grief and changes, but Scott Lang and family end up with this big threat looming. Hmm, okay.
I am upset that we didn’t get to see any of the non-suit-wearing characters we love. I especially don’t get why Maggie wasn’t at the fake birthday party in the end. I get why Luis isn’t in the big story, but a quick shot in the beginning - just like with Jimmy - would have been nice. I don’t think this film tells us that Scott doesn’t care about them and is only here for the Pym-van-Dyne family, but it’s a bit sad to get NOTHING.
What I wanted most of all was seeing Michelle Pfeiffer kick some ass. Expectation met. Thank you. I think Hope was a bit pushed too far back, but the way she comes back for Scott (always), is nice. I can get behind their relationship, their love, their commitment to each other 100%. Also Hank and Janet? Amazing. She kept so much for herself, but is he mad? Do they have to have long drawn out fights for D~rama?? Nope. Some irritation and frustration, sure, that’s more than allowed. But in the end there is only trust and love and unquestionable support. Also please, Hank is there to show some love for ants and that’s wonderful. Really glad his ant farm got sucked in. XD
Also watching this, my one wish is now stronger than ever. Seeing the absolute ridiculous M.O.D.O.K. (and I am not sorry they evolved this from Yellowjacket), I neeeeeeeeeeeeeee~d an X-Men film set in MojoWorld. So much. Ridiculous, over the top, non-sensical absurdity, that has zero consequences when the end credits roll. PLEASE! I need that.
Is this a cinematic masterpiece? lol no, why would I expect that from an MCU movie (so far down the line)? This is about characters I already love and adore (Scott Lang is the best), who end up in unfortunate circumstances and pew-pew their way out of it. For deeper feelings I watch other stuff. (While I’d still change things, I feel like the writers understand Ant-Man & Co better than whatever is happening with Thor. I think the tonal inconsistency of Love & Thunder drags that film down for me and Quantumania felt pretty solid in that regard.)

Future Emotions AU
Time travel, returned-to-light Vader to 14yo Anakin, BUT he doesn't get any actual memories or abilities, just Emotional Reactions from outside that don't make sense to him. Walks into the crèche and starts crying. Why is he crying? He doesn’t know!
Sees Palpatine and it's just Complicated Revulsion Loyalty Hate time.
Sees Obi-Wan and it's... also complicated.
Sees Padme on the news, literal wall of Grief and Love.
"Anakin? Anakin! Why are you crying?" "I don't kno-o-o-ow!"
Literally everything in the temple makes him feel sad and guilty for some reason... except Yoda. Anakin spends a LOT of time with Yoda because the only thing Yoda brings out of this Absurd Brain Thing is exasperated frustration and a bit of gratitude
(Because Yoda stayed alive long enough to give Luke the training to stay alive, and died from Being Old Disease instead of Getting Stabbed Syndrome.)
(Not that Anakin KNOWS that.)
Sees Ahsoka and it's time for Guilt and Adoration and "I'm keeping her."
@atagotiak asked: Would it be “I’m keeping her?” Because on some level it’s also “it’s best if she stays away from me”
Which... well... it's less guilt than almost anyone else in the Temple, and Anakin doesn't know WHY he feels these things...
She escaped at Malachor so the guilt is there but not the horrified grief. He didn't kill her, which is SUCH a low bar. But it does mean that whoever is put in charge of dealing with his sudden emotional instability decides that maybe it would be Good to have Anakin hanging out with This Child as like... slow exposure therapy.
(Actually with Yoda involved and his history of "throw a child at the problem," Anakin is going to be encouraged to spend time with The Eight-Year-Old He Cried On whether he wants to or not.)
The only things that don't make Anakin feel Bad Things right now are droid repair and Racing.
He’s insecure so he always kinda expects people to dislike him. But now he expects people to hate him and is also absolutely certain he deserves it. So that’s fun.
Poor Obi-Wan, too. He has NO idea how to help.
(I'm trying to figure out the list of people Anakin didn't screw over or get killed. Do we know how Quinlan died?)
(And I GUESS Jedi who died in the war before Anakin Lost His Goddamn Shit.)
Granted he might not know much about a lot of them and if he doesn’t recognize them his subconscious is probably gonna be like “they died, my fault”
But like. Wow. How the heck do you process emotions if you: 1) don’t know why you’re feeling them 2) have no way to try to figure out why you’re feeling them
Anakin sees Bail on the news "Who's that?" "A friend of mine, why do you--" "I resent him." "For... being my friend?" "I don't know."
Also weirdly grateful, but like. Hey! Also on the list of things Anakin feels bad about for no reason: Bail’s entire planet.
Anakin: I FEEL GUILTY ABOUT ALDERAAN. Obi-Wan: Okay, do you know why? Anakin: I'VE NEVER EVEN BEEN THERE. I’VE NEVER EVEN HEARD ABOUT IT MORE THAN IN PASSING UNTIL YESTERDAY.
There's a lot of "I don't even know who you are but I already hate you" about, like... Tarkin.
Anakin's looking at star maps one day and starts having complicated feelings about an empty patch of space. There's nothing there! There's not a single pla--why is gravity wrong.
Why is gravity wrong in this patch of empty space
Oh shit there's supposed to be a planet here
What the fuck.
"Master Yoda I was looking at stars to calm down but I started feeling gross and angry about an empty patch of space and then I did some math and there should be a planet there because of the gravity but there ISN'T and I keep feeling gross and it's the same kind of gross as when I think about Tatooine so maybe there's slaves on that planet that shouldn't be there."
Anakin and Obi-Wan and Yoda go to Kamino. They meet the clones. Anakin starts crying again. Obi-Wan has to excuse them from the Awkward Conversation With Jango in order to calm Anakin down. Anakin looks at Boba and gets angry despite the fact that this is a five-year-old child that's done nothing wrong.
I just want to take "Anakin has a lot of emotions and no idea how to deal with them" to a whole new level.

⛔️ Warning: This is an exploration of Zhongli’s manipulative tendencies that we see glimpses of in his archon and story quest. Absolutely no part of the relationship depicted here is healthy or consensual. Please proceed with caution.
🔖 [info] [next]
pt. i of iii
Looking back, you should have noticed that something was wrong the moment Zhongli had insisted on treating you and Aether to dinner.
You and Paimon tried to stop him, of course — far too many of his shopping sprees in the past had ended with the Millelith involved or your pockets emptied of Mora (usually both, really). Yet today, he’d produced a wallet lined with gleaming coins, and any protests died quickly on Paimon’s lips.
“Wow, that’s enough to buy—” she marvelled, staring as intently as though her gaze itself could start pocketing the Mora, “at least… TEN Golden Crabs from Wanmin Restaurant!”
Zhongli chuckled, the sound still sending pleasant shivers down your spine even after all the months you’d spent traveling with him. “A little more than that, Paimon, but a good guess nonetheless.” He turned his amber gaze to you and your brother, who had not strayed a foot away from you since the Abyss released its hold on him.
Aether had kept an easy smile on his face for the past few days, but you’d known him long enough to pick out the signs of guilt, despite your reiterated reassurances that what the Abyss did to him was not his fault. It would take a long time for him to feel alright again; and you’d be there for him for as long as it took.
“And as for you two?” Zhongli continued, “will Wanmin Restaurant be agreeable? Though of course, if you believe that such a momentous reunion demands something a little more extravagant, I’m sure that Xinyue Pavillion is still taking reservations—”
“No, that’s not—” you weren’t sure why you were hesitating. So what if he mysteriously found himself without enough Mora by the end of the meal, and you ended up having to foot the bill as usual? It stung a little to think about, but it wasn’t as though you’d have any need for Mora after tonight. “That’s not it. After everything you’ve done for us during our travels, I couldn’t possibly accept more from you, Zhongli.”
Couldn’t possibly bear sitting at a table with Zhongli, knowing that it’d be the last time you’d ever see him. This was why you’d always tried to leave each world with a clean cut. This was why, at the break of dawn, you and Aether would leave without telling anyone — not Jean, not Cyno, not Dainsleif, not Ajax. Not even Zhongli, with whom you’d spent the bulk of your past year.
“Oh, no,” Zhongli replied, brows arching upwards, “I’ve told you, have I not? The pleasure of our travels were mine to enjoy.”
“Er... well. I’m sure Aether is also tired and wants to rest,” you prompted, squeezing Aether’s hand. Aether nodded quickly — no matter the world, you’d always been able to count on him to pick up on your nuanced signals. Though he might not know why, he knew that you were uneasy with going to this dinner, and that was enough.
“Hmm,” Zhongli pondered this shortly, then turned to your brother. You’d seen that look of calculated determination on his face before, in front of basha stalls and souvenir stores across the continent. A look that meant Zhongli would get what he wanted. “I had rather been looking forward to getting to know the sibling of my favored travel companion. Are you certain? Wanmin Restaurant is quite the gem of Liyue Harbor, and I’m certain that the food here will be a fair few notches above what the Abyss Order has been able to offer you.”
There was a slight, amiable smile on his face, but bringing up the Abyss was a painfully low blow and you had no doubt that Zhongli, the lord of contracts and negotiations and everything in between, knew it. You watched in mute horror as the guilt and regret danced on Aether’s face, before he finally gathered it all back into an apologetic smile. “Of course, Mr. Zhongli. Far be it from me to refuse a dinner with the former Geo Archon himself, especially with all the trouble I’ve caused you...”
—
Even after traveling the seven nations, you’d never once stopped pining for the savory, hearty flavors of Liyue cuisine. The spice of the black-perch stew that Xiangling taught you to cook had kept you warm through many a Snezhnayan blizzard, after all. Basking in the familiar scent of Wanmin Restaurant with a stomach full of hot food, and watching Paimon devour skewers of meat five at a time, you began to feel much better.
The anger you’d felt at Zhongli’s manipulation of your brother had also since faded into contentment. After all, negotiation, you found, came as naturally to Zhongli as breathing; he had likely meant nothing by it.
Maybe it was okay that you spent just one more night with Zhongli. Maybe it would turn out to be the closure you need.
You glanced at the man in question; he was teaching Aether how to use chopsticks, of course, and you were grateful to see that the haunted look in Aether’s eyes had given way to exasperation for now. By the time your brother had snapped his third pair of wooden ones, he was smiling and Paimon was just about rolling around on the ground in glee. As you stifled your own laughter, Zhongli set two small bottles of wine on the table.
You tried not to let yourself think about how the string lights of Chi’hu Rock glinted like stars in his eyes.
“What’s this?” You joked, referencing Zhongli’s anger from the one time he’d seen Venti get you drunk. “Are we all to become disgraces to the arts tonight?”
Zhongli’s lip curled into a small smile. You couldn’t remember when his smiles had started coming more and more frequently, but you’d learned to savor each one. “Ordinarily, I would not condone such strong drink, but today is the most special of occasions, no?”
As you watched, a goblet began to form between his fingers, golden, black and resplendent. You’d seen similar ones before, buried deep within the Domain of Guyun Stone Forest — an Archaic Petra Artifact, a Goblet of Chiseled Crag. According to Zhongli’s stories, the very same ones that he had created for the Seven to drink from in celebration, before all but two of them had vanished from this world.
The cruel irony was not lost on you.
“Besides, this is nothing like the watered down Mondstadt alcohol that that young bard partakes in,” Zhongli said, gloved fingers masterfully plucking the cork from the first bottle and pouring it into the goblets. “These two bottles contain the finest wu’liang’ye spirit that Liyue has to offer. They’ve been aged for well over decades with a technique passed down from the goddess Guizhong, whose mastery over grain and crop transcends even my own today.”
“We’re—  flattered,” you bowed your head. The matter of Guizhong, the late Goddess of Dust and Zhongli’s good friend from when the Archon War still ravaged the land, was but one of the many things that you’d wanted to talk to him about. If only you had more time. “Thank you, Zhongli.”
He passed you the first goblet, then the second to Paimon. “Please, let’s forgo the formalities tonight. You are a dear friend to me, and so, by extension, is your family.” The second bottle was opened, its contents split between Zhongli and Aether. “Let us drink, to the happy reunion of loved ones, to the fruitful friendships you have forged in this world, and to all the triumphant adventures to be had still.”
The wince you hid was only partially from the burning drag of liquor sliding down your throat.
It had not escaped your notice that Zhongli had been staring at you all night — more intently than usual, and that was saying something.
“y/n, I think—“ he began, as you met his gaze. By the Archons, the way he said your name—
“ Paimon thinks there should be less talking, more drinking! Ganbei!” Paimon screeches, downing half her goblet and immediately falling down to the cobblestone road, spluttering and choking at the heat.
“This is… very strong, Mr. Zhongli,” Aether was the first to speak after. “Wonderful liquor. What gives it its mild bitterness?”
“Bitter?” You asked, letting the drink roll on your tongue, “where’s the bitterness? It tastes mostly sweet to me.”
Aether took another long drink, thoughtfully. “Definitely bitter. Here, try a sip?”
You took his goblet, but as you pressed it to your lips, you felt it begin to violently vibrate. Quickly, you pulled it away from your face just in time for it to shatter in your hand, gold and black shards falling to the floor as what little drink left in the goblet splattered across the table.
“Goodness,” Zhongli said, after your surprised yelp brought Paimon stumbling back to your side, her cheeks still stained scarlet from the liquor, “I must apologize. It’s been quite some time since I’ve had to construct something so small and intricate — I am out of practice, it seems.”
“Oh! That’s quite alright, I drank most of it already—“ Aether glanced over your shoulder, “by the Archons, Paimon has a knife!”
As you watched Chef Mao try to wrestle his knife back from a cackling, red-faced Paimon, you recalled the crystal hairpin Zhongli had forged two months ago — when you’d complained of the Natlan desert wind blowing your hair into your eyes. It had been just as intricate as the goblets, and much, much smaller. One of the few belongings you were planning on bringing with you.
You wondered what reason Zhongli had to lie.
—
“Maybe it was a good thing your goblet shattered,” you told Zhongli, prodding Aether with one of your chopsticks. He had stopped even groaning in response. And though Paimon was still conscious, she looked as though she would much rather not be, sitting forlornly on the table with her head in her hands. “Look at them. Drunk as skunks.”
“Maybe,” Zhongli replied, “though I did not expect these two to have such low tolerance to alcohol. It was a miscalculation on my part.”
“Paimon’s always like this —you know, remember that bar in Snezhnaya?— but Aether’s usually better at holding his drink,” you sighed. “I should probably get him back to Wangshu Inn.”
“Let him sober up a little here. It’s a long trek to the inn, and you don’t want him making a mess of his dinner on the way back.” Loathe as you were to admit it, Zhongli was right. It seemed that the fates were demanding that you spend a little more time with him, after all. He stood up, his tremendous height still a little startling to you.
“Will you walk with me for a little, y/n?”
It wasn’t fair, really, the way he said your name. “Where are we going?”
“I’m not sure,” he answered. “The harbor for a breath of fresh air perhaps, or Bubu Pharmacy to fetch a remedy for Aether. Does it matter to you, where we go?”
Going anywhere with him was a pleasure, one that against your better judgement, you yearned to partake in one more time. “No,” you admitted. “Let’s go.”
--
“It’s been so long since we’ve walked through Liyue — a year, almost. Do you remember? It was my birthday, and we walked for hours through the harbor.” Zhongli chuckled, the sound a deep rumble through your bones. “You wouldn’t let me buy dinner that time, either.”
The nights of Liyue, its rolling hills and monumental mountains, were a peace you’d never known before coming to Teyvat. The city was uncharacteristically quiet tonight, and by the time you got to Yujing Terrace, you realized that it was the emptiest you’d ever seen it. The usual evening crowd of kids out of school and elderly taking strolls were nowhere to be seen — not even the Millelith guards usually standing by the gate were there.
“ That time ,” you corrected, swallowing your unease at the silence of the city, “you didn’t have a single Mora to your name.” The strides you had to take to keep up with Zhongli’s long, long legs were huge, and you struggled to stay by his side. “Look me in the eyes and tell me that I wouldn’t have had to pay the entire bill if we’d actually gone to Wangshu Inn for dinner that night.”
You immediately regretted it when he turned his golden gaze upon you, and it took everything within you to not avert yours. “Perhaps that may have been the case,” Zhongli allowed, “though I would have returned your investment tenfold over the next week. Have I not proven as much throughout our travels?”
His vast knowledge of valuable gemstones and herbs — and more importantly, his uncanny ability to get any deal he set his mind to — had kept you and Paimon fed for many a week during your trek through the caves and jungles of Sumeru. You had to give him that. And that wasn’t not even counting the number of boulders, traps, swords and ravenous winter wolves that his shield had protected you from—
“Fine, I’ll admit, it was nice to have you around, you bourgeois parasite,” you said, playing on his joke back from when you’d first met. Then, after a brief silence, “Zhongli, in all seriousness, thank you.”
“Hmm?”
“I know that you’ve accompanied many adventurers on their journeys,” you explained, “but you — you dropped everything and journeyed with me, and you’ve done more for me than anyone else. I could never have found Aether without you.” Zhongli was being uncharacteristically quiet, and so you hurried along to fill the silence, “We— we made a great team together. And I will never forget everything that you’ve done for me. So, thank you.”
“A great team together...” he repeated, voice lower than a whisper. “y/n, this sounds like a farewell.”
Your breath caught in your throat. Even in silence, you were breaking the most important rule you’d learned throughout all your travels. Never let them know you’re leaving.
Zhongli turned to face you, and his full attention is a force that you had not yet learned to endure. So instead, you turned your attention to the koi darting about among the lotus reeds as he continued, “I’ve noticed that you’ve been more careless with your Mora lately. And as for your hard-earned weapons, artifacts, and resources, you have given them all to the Knights of Favonius, correct?”
“I gave some to the Millelith too,” you objected quietly.
“You know that is not what I meant,” Zhongli said. You did know. “Are you planning on leaving this world, y/n?”
“I have to,” you heard yourself say, “we don’t belong here.”
As though he heard the waver in your voice, the Lord of Contracts honed in on it like a Sumeran jaguar. “Do you remember the first Lantern Rite you partook in? Though you had just arrived in Liyue, and though the Millelith, Qixing and Adepti each gave you reason to distrust them, you still chose to spend the festival helping people.”
“I didn’t help that many—”
“Twenty-six people,” he corrected, and you cursed yourself for not thinking that he would remember. “A dozen more, if we are to count the young and elderly of Qingce, whose lives were brightened by the festivities you brought to the village. And hundreds above that, if we acknowledge every person in Liyue Harbor, whose Lantern Rite would have been ruined had you not stopped the thief who tried to steal the Mingxiao Lantern. Am I correct?”
“I did it for the compensation,” you retorted, determined not to let yourself think about the people you’d helped. Who would help them after you left?
“Hmm.” Zhongli rested his gloved fingers against his chin, and you could tell that he didn’t buy your bluff, not for a moment. “Anyone else, I may have believed. But you, y/n, who have begged me to stay my hand against fleeing Hilichurls? You, who could not bear to attack the Mitachurl that sits alone on Mount Tianheng and watches the harbor? You, who gave it a name ?”
“Okay,” you finally relented. “Okay, I like helping people, and I don’t want to go. But that doesn’t mean I can stay. It’s— it’s not good for Aether to stay here, after what this world has done to him.”
“With time, I believe your brother can adjust—”
“Don’t make this harder than it has to be, Zhongli,” you begged, and the tone of your voice finally made him take notice. He regarded you for a moment, and you thought you saw his eyes glow bright.
“The last thing I wanted,” he sighed, reaching into his coat, “was for it to come to this.”
Your first reaction was to reach for your weapon — it wasn’t there; you’d given Festering Desire to dear little Bennett just before you’d left Mondstadt. Still, you felt the bright burn of shame when the only thing Zhongli pulled out was a piece of parchment, folded into a perfect square. How could you think that after everything, Zhongli would ever hurt you?
“Do you remember this contract of ours?” Zhongli asked as he carefully unfolded the paper, handing it to you. You stared down at the neat lines of calligraphy, punctuated by your name in your own handwriting.
Of course you remembered: the moment you had approached Zhongli at Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, after your expedition into Havria’s domain. The day you’d asked him to join you on your travels.
“ Oh? A new contract? I'm still on leave, but I can accompany you for a while. ” Zhongli had mused, as though he hadn’t just sent butterflies soaring through your insides. “ What name should I use on the contract? I have a great many names, though when on leave... I tend to go by Zhongli. And you, Traveler? What name will you be signing on this contract— ?”
The following contract had been quickly printed in his swift brushstrokes — simple terms: he would lend his strength and knowledge to your endeavor of finding Aether, and you, in turn, would simply keep him in good company.
Even at the time, you’d wondered what was in it for Zhongli — the terms of the contract had seemed rather imbalanced, but in your euphoria at having gained Zhongli as your new travelling partner, you had not thought more on it.
The same terms stared back at you now, and you were quickly realizing what was going on.
For thousands of years, I have made countless contracts. If the deal was of no benefit, then I certainly would not be inclined to agree to it.
The day you discovered his identity, Zhongli had said this to you. He’d never signed a contract before that did not benefit him wholly; and you were a fool to think he would’ve made an exception for you.
“By keeping you in good company,” you said, numbly, “you don’t mean— forever ?”
“In the circumstances that the duration of a contract’s term is unspecified—” Zhongli held out his hand for the parchment. Briefly, you debated tearing it up and scattering it to the koi, but you knew well enough that it would not void the contract — one of the hundreds of thousands that Zhongli had undoubtedly seared into his memory. You handed it back to him silently. “Well, it would be fair to say that you are obliged to uphold it, until I personally release you from it, no?”
The first thing you felt was: fear, deep and chilling. You hadn’t truly believed that Zhongli would hurt you — until now. Until a contract had come into play. Until you realized you were poised to break one.
“You can’t be serious,” you said, but you’d known him long enough to know that he was. “I found my brother. I’m not from this world, and so I have to leave. I have to go home.”
“Has Teyvat not provided you enough of a home? You have made friends here, allies who would die for you in a heartbeat. And as for Liyue — Liyue will always be as much of your home as mine. You have your own room in Chi’hu Rock, you are on a first-name basis with the Qixing and the Adepti would spar with you as though you were one of their own—”
You could feel your resolve trembling, but it was not enough. You would not ask your brother to compromise his wellbeing in a world that had not been kind to him. “I’m sorry,” you said, and you understood fully what was coming. “I can’t stay.”
“After everything we have gone through, my friend, you would leave... me?” And there it was. In that moment, the former Archon — the oldest being in the world — looked so lonely that you almost broke down, almost apologized, almost reassured him that you would never once again put him through what he’d gone through far too many times: the loss of a friend.
“I’m sorry,” you repeated. “My family comes first. I can’t stay.”
Zhongli’s expression became unreadable. He closed his eyes, and for a moment, there was a peaceful silence that you savored. You had a feeling that it would be the last one you’d ever have in Liyue. The seconds crawled by, and briefly, you let yourself hope that Zhongli might relent, might make an exception for his close travel companion.
“Well then, my friend,” Zhongli finally said, holding out his right arm. Sparks of energy gathered in his palms, forming a wicked, golden spear. The Vortex Vanquisher. You’d seen it countless times, marveling each time at its beauty and strength. You never thought you would one day be staring down the end of it. “You must know what comes next.”
On your journey, you’d witnessed many a broken contract between Zhongli and other people — an Inazuman merchant whose greed for an extra trinket got the better of him; a Sumeran scholar who just needed to grab that last book from the hidden ruins; a Snezhnayan soldier whose loyalty to the Tsaritsa transcended his gratitude to you saving his life—
None of them had escaped unscathed.  And each time, after delivering the punishment required of the situation, Zhongli would ask you the same thing, uncharacteristic frustration in his voice:
“ To get people to abide by a contract, and act in accordance with the guidelines set out within, is simply to ask them to respect the concept of fairness. It is not a large request. How are there those who still do not understand such simplicity? ”
Each time, after you’d cheered him on in his reckoning of justice, you would nod and agree sympathetically. None of their contracts, you thought, had been particularly difficult to uphold. And each time, you would thank the heavens that you had more sense than to break a promise between yourself and the God of Contracts.
It seemed that today, you were going to learn of what happened when you did.
You took a step backwards as Zhongli took a slow, calculated one towards you. Having closely watched him rain destruction down upon your foes for the past few months, you knew with certainty that you, lightheaded from the wind and the still exhausted from your fight with Aether, would not be able to keep up with his speed and technique.
And even if you weren’t, how could you even hope to compete with six thousand years of experience in war and strife and carnage? No; fighting him was not an option.
“Come on now, Zhongli,” you pleaded, taking another step and discovering, to your horror, that one more step backwards would have you falling into the koi ponds. You had nowhere else to go. “Aren’t we friends?”
Even as the words left your mouth, you knew that they would fall on uncaring ears. Friendship had never stayed the hand of the victor of the Archon war.
Zhongli took another lazy stride forward.
“Are we really going to fight in the city? We’ll destroy half the harbor.”
“While I appreciate your concern, I am quite confident that it will not come to that,” Zhongli said, the ‘because I would long have you pinned under my spear before then’ unspoken but tacit. “And besides, most of Liyue architecture is of stone. It would be nothing that I could not easily fix.”
Fair enough. You switched gears, praying that two millennia of walking amongst the mortals had given him some vestige of human empathy. “Please, I need to go back and check on Aether. What if he woke up and found himself alone? Who knows what Paimon’s done to him by now.”
“Aether,” Zhongli said, “will not wake up for another day or two.”
You pause, letting that register. “What?”
The first bottle: you and Paimon. The second bottle: Zhongli and Aether. You remembered how carefully Zhongli handed you the first goblet, though Liyuenese etiquette would have mandated that he pass the first drink to the guest at the table. The way the goblet had shattered suddenly rang clear in your mind’s eye. His lie. How adamantly Zhongli must have been trying to keep you from drinking from Aether’s cup—
“The herb I placed in his drink was but a very mild… sedative. He will almost certainly not die from it, but it can take mortals up to two days to regain consciousness.”
“ What ?” You could barely breathe. “You’re joking. You drank from the same bottle he did.”
“You need not concern yourself about me. My body has always been much more resistant to poisons than that of mortals.”
The rage made your throat tight; it had been a long, long time since you had been so angry. “Congratulations, you know that there’s absolutely no way I’m staying now, right?”
“Even before our confrontation today, I could tell that your mind was already made up,” he explained, as nonchalant as ever, as though he hadn’t just poisoned your fucking brother . “Naturally, the next course of action was to prevent you from breaking your contract by any means necessary, so that we could further negotiate. I did not want—”
You would never learn what Zhongli didn’t want, because the fury in your lungs erupted outwards in a burst of elemental energy. You reached out, grabbing one of the last swords in your arsenal — a dull blade that you had been keeping around for enhancement fodder — but it didn’t matter, didn’t matter didn’t matter didn’t matter. All that mattered in that moment was making Zhongli pay .
The familiar warmth of the element you were attuned to channeled through the sword, and you swung it as hard as you could in the direction of the former Archon. A wake of hardened earth ripped through the stone brick of the terrace, circling Zhongli in a jagged cage of rock and crystal. A little too late, you realized your folly.
Zhongli absently reached out, resting his gloved fingers against the earthly fangs you’d entrapped him within. Even through the haze of your anger, you could see a smile — a kind you had never seen on him — forming between his cheeks. “How ironic,” he said, “that you would use the powers that I granted you against me.”
You could see the glow of Geo flowing from your constructs towards his outstretched palm. Vaguely, you knew that you had to run .
“And how endearing—” he continued, and you could hear the rumbling beneath your feet, even as you turned to flee, “—that you truly thought it would work.”
From behind, a shockwave of Geo more powerful than anything you’d ever felt smashed into you, throwing you off your feet and slamming you against the wall behind the pond. You crumpled like a paper lantern, cheek hitting the cool stone floor. As you struggled to keep your eyes open, the last things you saw were Zhongli’s intricate boots, gleaming in the moonlight before you.

So far this 9.2 stuff is turning out to be like a 3.5 to 4 star situation where I was expecting 0. And while I shouldn’t be happy about it hopping over a bar that was already so low, I apparently didn’t rant about it enough to friends last night, so here’s my take on the pros and cons:
Under the cut to spare your eyes...
Pro: RANGER GENERAL RANGER GENERAL!!! A whole ass piece of her soul is there now that is freshly dead from her first death holy fuck. Also that model is gorgeous and yes it’s not perfect, but the people analyzing it need to realize a few things: 1. This is an in game cut scene still, not a fully cinematic one, so calm down, 2. Warcraft’s style is chunky, overly colorful, and slightly disproportionate, always has been, 3. So much of the scene with her and Uther is a nod to them in Warcraft 3 and I’m pretty sure it’s not too much of a reach to say the models are meant to reflect that.
Con: The split souls thing is a bit tired. I mean we did get an idea from Uther’s arc that things were going to go this way, so I’m not surprised. She does indeed look like Ranger General Barbie...but hey that works for me.
Pro: Her first death is addressed in a surprisingly respectful manner! By fucking Uther of all people, who was not on my bingo card to be the person to do it, if ever, in lore. I was expecting to hate their interaction when I found out he’d be involved, but I...love it? He addressed that part of her so respectfully, one military commander to another--one pragmatic and practically-minded person to another? One person who died at the height of their goodness and fell far from there to another? I really didn’t hate it! And now I want them to be besties.
Con: The utter abhorrence of the tree burning better not make Sylvanas’ “good” half take over completely. I don’t think it will, but that would be very boring. She did good things as the Banshee Queen too, and I hope to see that somewhat addressed. Her rebellion for the Forsaken, using her contacts and clout to get them the protection of the Horde, and even her actions up to Legion, were all those of a leader doing their best to improve the (un)lives of their people. A ruthless military leader, but still--her “good” self was still a ruthless military leader as well?
Pro: Actually, let’s go to more of the above. I’m going to disagree with what I’ve been seeing some people say as “oh this just erases 15 years of her character development”, because I don’t think that’s the point of the cut scene? I think the point is to have this past version of her address all of it, and again I’m hoping we don’t just see the negatives and see her as an outcast now literally forsaken by everyone who once followed her alive or dead. Some of the leaked voice lines (besides the one I will choose to ignore for gay reasons) that came out just after this also seem to indicate she might talk to her sisters again? I really hope for that. But besides all that, this I think is the only way to appease everyone: to have her address she did some terrible stuff, but that she did it without half of her soul, and that it’s un-atone-able even with that knowledge, but that dwelling on war crimes in a world where everyone has committed a lot of them is pointless when there’s work to be done to save it? I dunno. I find it to be a bit ham-fisted, but a fair compromise for those who wanted her to pay and those who wanted her reasons to do what she did in the first place acknowledged. I don’t think we’re losing the Banshee Queen for the Ranger General. I think we’re getting both, and if nothing else, that’s interesting.
Con: Still, no one will be 100% pleased with this. There was simply no way to make everyone happy with this situation because of how far into a corner it was written already. This is about the best we can get from it and it’s not great, but it’s not horrible either. Again, the bar is low and it’s hard to clap for someone jumping over it, but at least they didn’t impressively limbo under it to the point of making it even worse?
Anyway, I have a lot of thoughts and actually look forward to seeing more of 9.2, even if it’s ham-fisted and they make my girl straight. I am a Warcraft 3 lore whore and this ticked all my nostalgia boxes so hard while actually respecting them and the character from them that I love so much, so I am so surprised to be positive about it overall, but here I am.

semicolon, m | myg
pairing(s): yoongi x reader
summary: He knew you. You knew him. Or rather, you both had an idea of the other, only to find that perhaps you connected on a much more carnal, animalistic level. It only took a hotel bar, New Year’s Eve, and the words, “Nice tattoo.”
warnings: rated M (18+) for language; alludes to attempted suicide; intense smut (fem reader, BDSM themes, semi-public exposure, restraints, nipple play, tit slapping, m-receiving oral, pussy spanking, doggy); non-idol!AU; rich heir, dom!Yoongi x tattooed, sub!reader; shifts back and forth between Yoongi’s POV and your POV
He was sure it was you.
You had tattoos now. A geometric lotus in your right inner forearm and a filled-in circle with a four-sided starburst around it on your inner left forearm. He observed you turning your head and there was a semicolon tattoo under your left ear. You moved your hair to cover it and nursed your rum and coke, alone. The tight black dress you were wearing was sinful at best. Closer to positively illegal with the way it clung to your breasts and squeezed them together. No one was approaching your table in this hotel bar. It was impossible to approach you when you looked that good.
You tapped at your phone, frowning.
He picked up his glass of whiskey and glided to you.
“Nice tattoo.”
You froze. Your eyes followed his finger, to your left forearm.
“It’s the symbol of the Sith Order,” you replied coolly.
“Star Wars?”
You lifted your head, raising an eyebrow. Beautiful makeup. Smokey eyes, red lips, your beauty marks visible. You hadn’t hidden them with foundation. He appreciated that.
“Yes.”
He set his glass on your table and slid into a chair. “Aren’t the Sith evil?”
You didn’t respond to that. Merely smiled at him, eyes sparkling with amusement.
“Do I know you?” you asked, tapping your nails on your glass. Matte black. Interesting.
To be honest, he wasn’t sure. You had attended to the same university. He could guess why you had the semicolon tattoo, because he had been in the hallway, witnessing the event when the ambulance took you to the hospital. He had been sleeping with a girl on your dorm floor.
Admittedly, not one of his proudest moments.
He cocked his chin to your right forearm. “And the lotus tattoo?”
You shrugged. “Just a recommendation from my tattoo artist.”
He took a slow, even sip of his whiskey. “Any more?”
You rested your chin on your fingers, placing your elbow on the table.
“You’d have to take me home to find out.”
Somehow, he did not think you were referring to your under-ear tattoo. He raised an eyebrow. “A woman like you, unclaimed? I can’t imagine why.”
You chuckled, lowering your hand to sip your rum and coke. “Perhaps it’s just personal preference.” You frowned, wincing, as if you remembered something unpleasant. “And perhaps it’s society who doesn’t like women who have their tattoos exposed.”
He thought about his fair skin. The many times he had thought about getting inked, but chickening out because he couldn’t think of committing to one specific image or words for that long. Perhaps he was fickle in that sense.
“Min Yoongi.”
He didn’t extend his hand, just stated his name. You paused, holding your glass over your cleavage, blocking it from his view. A moment of silence, a beat passing between your eyes. And then you gave him your name. Yes, it was you. The name had seen in the school newspaper the next day. The name that left the school, disappearing after the incident. He often wondered if you were okay. You seemed okay, looking at him with discerning eyes.
“You are the son of the owner of this hotel.”
Yoongi paused. He placed his glass on the table.
“Something like that.”
You raised a brow and placed your drink on your table. Expression pensive for a moment before you spoke again, tone light and playful.
“Well, perhaps you’ll be interested to know I just had a very unsatisfying one-night stand on the fifteenth floor, so I’ve come to drink the memory away.”
His lips curled into an entertained smile. “I’m sorry to hear that.”
You sighed and licked your teeth sharply. “On New Year’s Eve, too, no less.” You tapped your cheek with your index finger. “I suppose that means this year is off to a bad start.”
He looked at his Rolex watch. And then at you and your cleavage, breasts violently pushed together by your tight black dress. His eyes flickered back to yours. You were watching him carefully, aware of his traveling gaze. He smirked.
“There’s still time to remedy that.”
-
There was something about those eyes that haunted you.
You weren’t sure why, because you were quite sure you had never meant this man before. But maybe in a haze, in a dream? You tilted your head. Black hair, half-pushed back to reveal his forehead, dark eyes, pale skin. The kind of handsome that reminded you of midnights and moonlight, with a raspy voice to match. Expensive black suit with ironed lapels, black silk handkerchief in his breast pocket, patterned with the logo of a high-end fashion designer. Crisp white dress shirt, with a platinum tie clip on his slim black tie.
Well-dressed. Sophisticated. Dangerous.
You did not know Min Yoongi, but it felt like you knew him.
The entire time he was talking, you were watching his movements. For some reason, the heir to this hotel chain was speaking to you. You weren’t that special. That’s how you wanted it. The more anonymous you were, the less people questioned your actions. There’s no way Min Yoongi would know you. And why wasn’t he in the hotel club instead of this quieter, more low-profile hotel bar? Most people wanted to party on New Year’s Eve. The hotel was hosting a huge one at the moment.
You?
You just wanted a good fuck, honestly.
So when he offered, it surprised you. A lot of people would tell you that it was dangerous to have sex with a stranger. A rich man, no less.
But you were also the one with the Sith Order symbol tattooed to your arm.
Your lips curved to match his smirk.
“You got a room?”
He licked his lips.
“They’re all my rooms.”
-
It started the instant the two of you stepped into the elevator. Your long black fur coat was around your arms, shoulders exposed. No purse, because you had sewed pockets into the coat for your belongings. Less to lose this way. Yoongi had taken you to the back of the hotel, through dark hallways and shadows.
“Service elevator. Less people.”
You cocked your head as he pressed the up button, speaking again.
“Less paparazzi.”
You shrugged. “Someone has probably already caught you and posted it on Twitter.”
The elevator pinged and the doors slid open. You stepped inside and he shoved you into the wall, pressing his expensive suit into your body as the doors slid closed. Eyes on yours, hot breath in your face.
“No cameras,” he growled softly.
The numbers were climbing up, up.
Your tongue slid out as you tilted your head. You pressed it against his lower lip. His eyes were so dark they looked black in this lighting. So close to him that you were breathing in his exhale mixed with his pine-scented cologne.
“What are you waiting for?” you whispered. “Give me a taste of your power.”
Should you have provoked Min Yoongi? Maybe not, because his kiss sucked your breath away, his large hands coming up and holding you in place as he teased your lips, nipping at the thin skin, making you gasp into his mouth. He had you pressed into the metal wall of the elevator, one of his legs slipping between yours, thigh pressed into the hem of your short dress. Lips to lips, working you, teasing you with his tongue, not giving it to you.
He backed up a little, breathing down on you and your panting mouth.
“You bought this dress for someone else to take off, hm?” he purred, lips dark pink from kissing you.
“I brought it for the sole purpose of being taken off.” Your chest was heaving, ribcage constricted by the boning of your dress. “It’s not attached to a particular person.”
His hands slid down your head, trailing on your bare shoulders. Sliding into the fur, staring at your face the entire time. Drumming against the slinky fabric of your tight dress as if you were the grand piano and he was the pianist.
“It could be.”
Yoongi tilted his head, lips brushing against yours.
“It could be for me.”
One by one, his fingertips hooked under the hem of your dress, nails pressed against your bare thighs. His hands were cold, sending tingling shivers all over your nerves. Eyes half-lidded, smokey orbs locked with yours. Your lips curved into a succubus’s smile.
“It’s yours now.”
He chuckled, yanking the hem up and over your ass. Chilled air rushed to your naked thighs, your black lace, French-cut panties out in the open. He looked down at your quivering legs and then his eyes immediately fixated onto it. Another tattoo. You watched as Yoongi took it in, able to see it because the boldly printed script was on the space were your right leg and crotch connected, that dip of flesh right above your pussy. His eyes flickered back to you.
He raised his eyebrows.
“’Good luck’, huh?”
You grinned.
“Good luck.”
The elevator dinged.
A housekeeping worker with their cart craned above the supplies to look at you two and then immediately looked away, closing their eyes. Unmoving like a statue. Didn’t try to roll the cart into the elevator, didn’t say anything. They knew exactly who Yoongi was and it seemed like they knew exactly why you were there.
“Come.”
He didn’t take your hand. He simply removed his heat from you and glided through the doors like an elegant ghost. You followed, heels clicking on the floor before touching the carpet. Like your dress, your slim heels were the slightest bit uncomfortable. It kept you at attention and highly aware of your surroundings, even though you had a few drinks.
Your eyes traveled over the lavish wallpaper, the plush red carpet. Over-the-top intricate and extravagant that bordered on gaudy. This was the top floor. The penthouse. You didn’t have to go far. The entire wing was the room.
You wondered why he took you here just for a simple fuck.
Yoongi unlocked the door.
-
“There’s only one stipulation.”
“Tell me.”
You held up the condoms from your pocket.
Yoongi smiled.
-
He was going to tie you up.
You watched as he pressed a button and the metal bar descended from the ceiling, complete with leather straps. You raised your eyebrows. Yoongi watched your expression carefully. The bedroom was dark, only lit by moody red LED lights from behind the bed and low sconces. The color reflected off his pale skin, casting half of his face in shadow.
The button had been behind a locked panel. He was probably the sole owner of that key.
“You are welcome to leave at any time.”
He said the words without emotion. You removed your fur coat, placing it on the oversized black velvet armchair. Everything in the room was in various shades of black and navy, in plush fabrics or luxurious leather.
“You spend a lot on your hobbies,” you commented.
Yoongi smirked.
“Sex is a performance.”
Your eyes connected. He removed his blazer. Like all of his movements, it was a swift and practiced manner, with two fingers hooked around the collar as he walked towards you. He tossed it on top of your coat. Now Yoongi was right next to you, your black dress still bunched around your waist. He did not have a particularly oppressive presence, but it was more like the company of the ocean. Expansive with unreachable depth, strikingly beautiful, and would have absolutely no qualms in drowning you.
Yoongi made sure your eyes were on him.
His long fingers deftly removed his cufflinks, sliding them into his pants pocket before slowly rolling up his sleeves. He was wearing multiple silver bracelets on each wrist, no rings. He folded the crisp white fabric up to his elbows, revealing his lean forearms. He had nice hands. Pampered ones.
“Scared?” he asked casually.
You reached up to the hook-and-eyes at the front of your dress. His eyes followed your movement. One. Two. Your words complimenting the removal of each one. Your breasts slowly relaxed from their prison, held in place by your free hand holding the top of your dress so you could travel downwards.
“Fear is natural,” you whispered quietly. “It is merely a tool in the realm of the strong.”
Yoongi’s lips curved into a slow smile. “Do you intend to speak like that the entire time?”
You chuckled as the last one was undone. “No. I’m only informing you I’m a bit of a masochist.”
And then you released your hand holding up the dress, causing it to unfurl and slide down, stopping at your hips and flaring out like a flower.
-
Yoongi wondered if you did this all the time.
He wondered if this was a product of your life experiences or your instinctual nature. He watched as you slid the dress down your thighs, letting it fall to the floor. You stepped out of it, only in your heels and panties. His teeth sunk into his lower lip.
Yoongi had taken a lot of people to this room. All strangers. Never one he knew from the past, no matter how insignificant. That made you the exception, even if you didn’t remember. His memory was still so vivid to this day.
He let his eyes roam over your body. As he predicted, you had great tits. The dress accentuated them after all. There was another tattoo. Script on the left side of your ribcage. You noticed him looking and turned slightly so he could read it. He had to think. It was in English, like your crotch tattoo, although that one was easier to translate.
“’The world is quiet here’?” he echoed.
the world was written so it was only visible from the front, is visible from the side, and quiet here visible from the back. Printed a typewriter’s font, no punctuation, the placement deliberate and thought-out.
You smiled. “Book quote.”
Yoongi liked it when you smiled. He reminded him of his own, a little hesitant but self-aware of your own quiet confidence. He lifted his hand and placed it behind your head, guiding you to him.
“You are very interesting,” he murmured into your mouth before he kissed you again. Tasting like rum and coke mixed with oceanic blackberry. He had smelled that scent before, although not on skin. He recalled the counter of cologne, the glass bottles with the unisex design. High-end.
On your skin, it smelled like sex itself.
He slid his tongue in between your soft lips, running it over your teeth. Drinking in your gasps, taking it all. He liked it when you breathed into his mouth too. You let it out like smoke, drifting into him. Your hands came up to hold onto his upper arms, steadying yourself. He liked the feeling of your hands as well, the way each finger curled around to grip him tightly. His thrust his tongue in and out, slowly, each moan chaining to the last. His hands in your hair, tangling it up, making a mess.
Yoongi opened his eyes just a crack. They landed on the tattoo in your left forearm, the filled-in circle with the four-sided starburst.
What had made you get a symbol like that tattooed to you?
He pulled you along, still kissing you, towards the metal bar. Turned you around, kissing down your jaw to the back of your neck. His hands slid down your hair, tracing your spine. Fuck. Such a beautiful back, with a lovely curve, so perfect to bend over. He dug his nails into it and you whined under him.
Yoongi didn’t bother asking you if you wanted it. You had a mouth; you could use it.
And you were grinding your ass into his crotch so, clearly, he didn’t have to ask.
He folded your arms behind you, forearm above forearm, tying you to the metal bar with the leather straps. One on each of your wrists, one tucked in the inside your elbows, binding them to each other and then all to the metal. He did not want to cover your tattoos but he had to. The position had you bent over, ass sticking out, tits hanging down, back slightly arched.
“Do I need to secure your waist or can you hold it?”
You turned your head back and raised an eyebrow. The curve of your profile, so perfect against the red light.
“What you need to do is fuck me already.”
He grinned.
-
Yoongi pulled up a chair and sat down right in the front of you.
You gave him a slightly annoyed expression. He smirked at you, placing his fingers on your chin, lifting it slightly.
“I thought you wanted a satisfying fuck?” he drawled.
“And yet nothing is happening.”
“Foreplay is just as important as pounding your pussy.”
You suddenly felt his other hand ghost under your nipple, palm barely grazing it. You tried to drop your body into it but were stopped by your restraints. Yoongi cocked an eyebrow amusedly. You narrowed your eyes at him.
“What are you waiting for?”
His thumb slid up your chin. He pressed it into your lips, forcing it open, rubbing your tongue with the pad of his finger. You made a disgruntled noise, saliva collecting where he touched you. You tried to close your lips but he held your jaw down, grip strong and immovable. Spit was trickling down your chin, covering his fingers and dripping onto the floor.
“Waiting for you to give in to me,” Yoongi murmured huskily.
Your heartrate accelerated disconcertingly in your chest. His dark eyes on yours, consuming you, keeping you in this slightly uncomfortable position. And you wanted it. You could feel it, the heat inside you, stroked from embers to full-blown fire, because somehow Min Yoongi could see right through you and knew you wanted what he was composing.
This midnight was his.
He seemed to know that you came to this conclusion. Maybe your pupils were dilated. Maybe it was your shallowed breathing. Maybe it was your trembling body, shaking at his touch. He removed his wet finger and slid it down your collarbones, smearing your own spit on you, before cupping your breast, squeezing it. You sucked in a breath, moaning his name softly as his other hand matched the first, kneading your breasts, rubbing your nipples with his palms.
“Y-Yoongi…”
You gasped as you felt his wrists slide up and the chains of his bracelets scrape your sensitive nipples, blooming pinpricks of pain over your chest. His palms came back, soothing you, his dark eyes intensely focused on your face, not looking away. His fingers pressed into your skin and he closed them in on your nipples, pinching them hard enough so that you could feel it, but not so hard that it was unbearable. He held you there like that. Seconds ticked past. Long, grueling seconds that felt like hours.
Yoongi was very calm about it as you slowly unraveled in his hands.
You body began to move involuntarily, raising your chest so his fingers pulled on your nipples a little. He still did not move his hands. You couldn’t go far with the metal bar digging into your back. He watched you try different things to get more stimulation, fingers motionless. If you moved too much, you were afraid he was going to let go and not give you more. You craved more. Needed it.
“Yoongi, please… Harder…”
His dark eyes were hypnotizing you.
The position of his fingers changed. He clamped your nipples between the joints of his index and middle fingers. You yelped, back banging against the metal. He pressed his thumbs against the hardened nubs, rubbing them harshly. Expression unchanging, forever on you.
“I thought you wanted it harder.”
His voice was deep, calm, with a hint of raspy delight. The sensation was a stark contrast to what he was doing before, shooting sparks of pleasure through your body. You shuddered, bucking into it, knees collapsing a bit as he stimulated your nipples.
“Hold.”
A single command and your knees locked to obey, entire body shaking. Yoongi pulled your nipples towards him, pushing your breasts together as he did so. Your back had to curve abruptly against the cold metal bar at his action. He lowered his head, trailing kisses along your collarbone. You whined, his touch hard and lips soft, eyelids fluttering as your nipples slipped out from his fingers. His large hands quickly twisted to cup your tits, keeping them up and pushed together as he kissed down the curve, nipping sharply at your skin. Leaving small red marks all over, sucking at some points to bruise you.
He didn’t need to speak. His lips told you everything, travelling all over your breasts hungrily, your swollen and abused nipples waiting, patterning your skin before his tongue snaked out.
“F-fuck, Yoongi…”
The pink tip pressed against the inflamed nub, pushing it around delicately. Strands of black hair framed his sculpted brows and those dark eyes were on you again. He closed his lips around it. Your eyelids slid closed, feeling the softness of his mouth and his tongue swiping all over, swift circles.
Then he sucked, hard.
Your eyes flew open, jutting your chest into his face. Yoongi chuckled in his throat and continued to suck, pulsating around your nipple, scraping his teeth against it. One of his hands came up and matched the rhythm of his mouth, tweaking and assaulting your other nipple forcefully. Your core throbbed with need, soaking your panties so much that they stuck to your folds. The scent of your arousal was getting stronger and stronger, a heavy sweetness.
He released your nipples abruptly and you gasped, feeling him lick a fat stripe possessively over your tits. Saliva dripping down, coating them all over. He removed his hand. You panted, trying to catch your breath.
“What’s my name?” he whispered quietly.
You lifted your trembling head, hair covering half your face. Your knees felt like jelly.
“Y-Yoongi.”
He slapped your tits.
You yelped, his open palm creating hot friction on your abused nipples. It wasn’t a hard hit, but an expansive one that covered a lot of surface area. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. Pain trickled throughout your body, pussy throbbing with need.
“Again.”
“Yoongi.”
He slapped you again, from the other side. You shuddered, sucking in your stomach at the sudden pain that seemed to swallow you up, but somehow it didn’t really hurt, instantly morphing into tinges of arousal. It was probably the way he was looking at you. His appearance was bored, but his eyes were trained onto your body, ink-black pupils shimmering with power in his dark brown irises.
“Again.”
Your eyes dropped down. He spread his legs. It was like he knew what you wanted. His erection strained against his tailored black slacks. It was impossible to hide with how closely fitted they were to his body. Your eyes went back up to his face. His expression was still unbothered.
“Yoongi,” you breathed, the clearest you’ve sounded yet.
Smack! You whined at the force, back against the cold metal. Smack! A half-moan, a half-sob as you felt his bracelets scrape against your skin. Smack! Your breasts banged together, softness against stinging softness, and it just felt so good as the pain crawled through your nervous system, devastating you. Your head was arched back, staring at the ceiling, mouth open and panting.
Yoongi reached up and pushed your head back down. He used his other hand to trace your lips, smeared with lipstick and saliva.
“I’m going to fuck this hole now.”
There was a short silence. He was waiting for you to say no.
You didn’t say anything.
Yoongi stood up and unbuttoned his pants right in front of your face. Your eyes followed his fingers as he unzipped them. The flaps opened and his cock fought against the smooth fabric of his boxer briefs, swelling as it was released from the confines of his pants. He pressed it into your nose and you inhaled his scent, oppressive and erotic, making you moan hotly against it.
You wanted it in you so bad that your juices were leaking down your thighs.
You felt his palm caress your head, smoothing your hair. He rocked his hips into your face, humping your open mouth. You pressed your tongue against his clothed cock, whimpering at how close it was and yet so far. His words drifted down to you in a low growl, teasing and domineering.
“Good luck.”
He removed his hardness from your face. Your eyes flickered up to him, a smirk on your lips. Yoongi matched your devious expression, pushing down his underwear. His cock sprung up into your vision, overtaking it. Oh, fuck. The head already dark red, leaking pre-cum. Veins standing out along the length, waiting to be stroked by your tongue. It was the hottest image you had ever seen, Yoongi’s smug face above you, his stiff cock so close to your lips that you could feel the heat. And fuck, he smelled so good, as if his pine cologne, his skin, and his arousal made an unholy pheromone combination that made you open your mouth, exhaling hotly over the glistening head.
Yoongi shoved it into your lips with one swift stroke.
You reeled, expanding your throat as he buried himself into it, sucking in a tight breath. It was a skillful, deliberate movement, one that didn’t jar your gag reflex immediately. You had plenty of practice from former encounters to not gag at first instinct, but Yoongi also seemed practiced, as if he had shoved his dick down many throats before.
His large hand fitted around the back of your head. Not moving.
His taste overwhelmed your mouth. Your tongue slid around expertly, running down the length, moaning around him. His eyes were closed but you could see his pink lips curve upward. You closed your own eyes, squeezing him in your throat as your tongue rubbed along the veins, pressing him into the roof of your mouth.
“You do not disappoint,” Yoongi sighed in satisfaction.
He pulled out a little and your tongue instantly went to the head, licking slow circles all over, teasing the opening with your tongue, spreading it out before sliding under to stimulate the thin skin between the head and length. Yoongi moaned above you, your name finally falling from his lips. You did not realize it would have such an effect on you until he said it. It made your thighs clench and pussy throb, agonizingly forced to wait until he was done with your mouth.
He began to thrust into your face, slow but forceful, tipping your head back a little so the head stroked against the roof of your mouth before hitting the back of your throat. You took it, helpless, bent over, knees aching as he fucked your mouth, almost lazily. His hand had a firm grip on your head, pushing himself in over and over.
“Keep it tight for me,” he murmured. “You’re doing so good.”
You closed your lips around him, meeting the base of his cock, your cries muffled and vibrating along his hard length, adding stimulation. You looked up, seeing his tensed jaw, pleasure painting his features, eyes closed. Yoongi wasn’t trying to get off fast; he was trying to build it to a crescendo, and your mouth was his tool to do it. In, out, in, out, each time a little rougher, a little more force. Rubbing your throat raw, jaw aching, but you were so focused on the soft pants coming from his lips that you didn’t notice.
“Your mouth is so perfect,” Yoongi gritted out, rocking his hips a little faster. “So soft and tight.”
His eyes opened halfway and he noticed you staring at him as he fucked your mouth. He inhaled sharply at the sight.
“So fucking sexy,” he mumbled. “You want to swallow me?”
You hummed needily in response, gazing imploringly at him. He smirked.
“That’s what I like to hear.”
He rolled his hips, faster, harder. You noticed the muscles in his neck tense, his hand gripping you tighter as he chased his release, fingers digging into your scalp, his cock trembling in your wetness as you sucked your cheeks in. Yoongi clenched his jaw, eyes closing again. His hips smacked into your face repeatedly, your name a low hiss as he thrust particularly roughly into your throat, the head being choked by your wet vise.
“Fuck...”
Sudden, jerking strings of cum shot down your throat, painting it white, pumping straight into your mouth. You swallowed hard, barely able to take a breath before his cock violently shuddered, filling you up with more of his salty, thick taste. He held your head as you gulped around him, groaning as he felt your throat close in on the sensitive head continually.
“That’s it…”
His fingers curled into your hair, lifting it away from your neck and collecting it behind you so he could look down at you drinking his orgasm.
“What a pretty picture and all for me.”
-
His eyes honed in on the semicolon tattoo under your left ear.
It flexed and moved as you swallowed, flickering in and out of vision as the small dangling black gems on your ear hid it. His eyes slid back to your fucked-out face, struggling for breath but being denied by his hold on you.
You might have a personal preference when it came to being single, but Yoongi was a rapacious man, and he wanted to own your mouth. He doubted he could buy it with money, but perhaps he could make you addicted to him. He pulled out of your lips and you whined deliciously.
Inwardly, he grinned like a devil.
Yoongi leaned down and lifted your head, kissing your swollen lips. You kissed him back, starved and hungry for his softness, his gentle touches that were matched by his roughness. Did you always look this good? He wanted you beside him so he could study you, so he could push you to your knees whenever he wanted, so you could resist him and so he could teach you a lesson.
But you deserved the fuck you had asked for. He could smell how turned on you were and he had promised after all. His tongue slid into your mouth and he tasted himself, a familiar taste that somehow tasted better when it was mixed with your saliva.
Yoongi did not think he was going to invite any more strangers into this room after this.
He broke the kiss. Your eyes on him, burning him to the core. He removed his shoes and socks, standing up. Stepped out of his pants, still wearing his shirt and tie. He kept them on as a sign of his power over you. You looked so perfectly submissive, just like this. He had to move out of your line of vision.
There was no way you knew what he was thinking, but he still didn’t trust himself. He did not want to get carried away. He had a job to do.
And that was to fuck you.
He moved around to your quivering legs, seeing your soaked panties. Not commenting, but his cock twitched seeing it, knowing it was him that made you this way. His fingers closed in on the top of them, yanking up. You jerked you head back, moaning hotly at the action. The black lace dug into your skin, seeping into your slick folds. He kept his voice measured despite his desperate need to shove himself into you right now.
“Count to four.”
He dug your panties into you as he spoke and made you whine as he pulled from side to side. The delicate fabric was ripping a little.
“One.”
He spanked your pussy with his large palm. The sound was loud and wet, traveling throughout the entire wing, along with your scream of pleasure. Yoongi was getting hard already listening to you. Even in the low light, he could tell your pussy lips were becoming puffy, reddening. His hand was smeared with your juices and he resisted the urge to lick it.
“Keep going,” he nudged gently.
He heard you panting. “Two.”
Smack! The sound, the sound, it turned him on so much as the lustful moan was torn out of you, your raw throat turning it almost feral. He twisted your panties in your slit, watching the fabric tear slowly against your inflamed skin, drinking in your squeals and whines as he tortured you.
“T-three.”
Slap! His fingers were coated in slickness, watching the wetness splatter between your legs as he hit you. Your ass was backing up into your panties, trying to get more, stopped by the metal bar. If you wanted him to stop, you wouldn’t have uttered the final number, gasping it out hurriedly.
“Four.”
Smack! Yoongi slapped the hardest yet and your knees buckled, almost sobbing. He shoved your kneecaps with his, locking them back in place. Your legs were shuddering hard, barely holding up, but your mouth was telling him a different story, choked gasps of pleasure.
“Fuck, Yoongi, yes…”
He pulled your panties down. They were practically ruined by his grip. That was too bad; they were quite beautiful. He intended on buying you new ones. Perhaps he could come with you to select them.
He paused for a moment to grab a condom, holding it in his hand before returning to you.
“Yoongi, p-please fuck me…”
You craned your head to look at him, the perfect profile. He raised an eyebrow.
“Fuck me with your pretty cock, p-please…”
He stared down at your gorgeous back, the peeks of your tattoos in his restraints, your ass stuck up in the air, pussy lips swollen and leaking from his spanking. He couldn’t see it right now, but he knew the ‘GOOD LUCK’ tattoo was there, right next to your pussy. Yoongi wondered who the artist was.
Perhaps they had been lucky like him.
He felt a surge of annoyance.
Yoongi stepped up to your ass, lifting his cock and pressing the length against your wetness. You started, almost moving away.
“It’s not in you.” He kept his voice even. “You will know if it was in you.”
He exhaled quietly as he rubbed his length and his balls against your wet slit, keeping the head away from you. You were warm, soft, and so, so slick. He was semi-hard, but he could feel himself getting harder as he pressed your ass around his cock, fucking the crevice between your cheeks. He knew it would be better inside you, but for some reason he needed to punish you a little. Needed to let you know that he was irate that there were others before him, that somehow fate cheated him by not having your paths cross sooner.
There was nothing you could do about that, but Yoongi didn’t care.
You were moaning under him, hips pushing back to meet his thrusts, your pussy smacking his balls, coating them with your lubrication. He closed his eyes, letting himself enjoy it. Fuck, you had a nice ass, malleable and lush in his hands. He wanted to own this ass too. You mouth, your tits, your ass.
He knew he would want your pussy too once he was in it.
“Yoongi, please…”
He pressed his fingers into your skin, sliding them inward. Held his cock carefully so it wouldn’t leak on you as he retreated.
“Ah, you’re right,” he purred. “You’ve earned it.”
He opened the condom, sliding it on. His cock jerked in his hands, already desperate for what was to come. He was the kind of man who lived under so much discipline that he knew nothing else. Although life could not be controlled, he could control himself and his emotions.
Yoongi pressed the head against your entrance. Sucked in a breath.
Sank in slowly.
Oh.
God.
Yoongi was not religious, but he swore he saw glimpses of heaven the second his cock was fully enveloped by your pussy. It was tight, it was soft, and each ridge clenched around him, roughly stimulating the head after he had mildly edged himself with your ass moments earlier. You pulsed around him, constricting him inside you as the base of his crotch touched your abused pussy lips.
“Fuck,” he breathed.
He needed to own this pussy.
Yoongi pulled back and shoved himself back in, gasping at the tightness. It was not because you weren’t turned on. It was because you were clenching around him, pressing your walls inward to choke his cock and, if possible, his cock became harder knowing this, harder as he heard you cry out in satisfaction.
“Yes, Yoongi, yes…”
He began to fuck you, rolling his hips into yours, trying to keep it slow and steady to drive you crazy, but to be honest, he was done for, because Yoongi had never experienced such power, never had a body fuck him back with such force, never heard such delicious, desperate mewls of need as he thrusted into you, slamming your hips together with loud squelches. It was probably a lot, his cock hitting you deep and your pussy already sensitive from his spanking, and yet you told him to hold you tighter, fuck you harder.
“Use me, Yoongi,” you gasped. “You feel so good, fuck, Yoongi, your cock is so fucking good…”
How did you know all the words that made him weak? How did you know exactly how to sound to make him want you more? And you took it all despite your shivering legs, despite your tits violently bouncing with every thrust, despite him pressing down on your lower back to hit you deeper. He watched you throw your head back, a long sinful wail slipping from your lips, hair flaring out like fire and you came all over his cock, pussy spasming and clenching around him.
Yoongi’s eyes widened, hips ramming into you. The head smacked against your tightest spot and he saw stars, the pleasure hitting its peak and plummeting into him, taking his breath away. He shot aggressively into the condom, pumped out by your pussy clamping down around his length, sucking it all out. His eyes rolled back into his head with how good it felt. This had never happened to him before. The moans of his name rang in his ears, encompassing him as his cock twitched inside you, the perfect combination of sound and sensation.
If Yoongi ever heard your voice again, it would be synesthetic experience for him, because he would remember this sound and this feeling for the rest of his life.
Outside, the clock stuck midnight, and fireworks overtook the sky in thundering booms.
-
“Was that a satisfying fuck?”
“Very.”
Yoongi reached over and tucked a spare strand of hair behind your left ear. You sat in his lap, in the armchair with the windows wide open, revealing a perfect view of all the fireworks overtaking the moonlight. It was a bit wasteful for your taste. Not that good for the environment. Yoongi informed you that he would look into more sustainable alternatives.
He pressed his lips into your neck.
“The next time you want to stay at one of my hotels, I will make myself available.”
You chuckled. “Can you afford a pause in your schedule?”
You could feel him sucking a red mark into your skin.
“What else can I do when a member of the Sith Order visits?”
You laughed and he smirked against your newly-made hickey.

Cap's Divulgence
Tumblr media
Characters:
Steve Rogers x GF!Reader
Sort of Bruce Banner x Natasha Romanoff
Summary:
After six months of putting your relationship with Steve Rogers in much secrecy, the star-spangled man boyfriend of yours finally broke the news to everyone in a celebratory dinner.
Warning:
Fluff
What is supposed to be a simple celebratory dinner for the team's recent mission turns out to be the night when your relationship with Captain America is revealed by none other than your boyfriend himself.
"Since when did this happen?" Nat asked as you can see how puzzled and surprised she is by Steve's revelation.
"Oh, come on," Tony groaned, which made you and everyone in the room look on his way, "It's not like you guys don't see how they stare at each other when they're both in the same room," he said with matching rolling eyes.
You and Steve are quite aware that if there might be one person in the team who has a hint of your secret relationship, that would be Tony Stark.
And somehow you thought Nat would have the same hunch. After all, she's Black Widow, the Russian spy. But it turns out, your friend is completely unaware since she's too busy playing hide the zucchini with Bruce and until now they haven't gone on a date.
"Wait up," Nat raised her hand to stop Steve from continuing his announcement then she turned to you, "Y/N, you and I were roommates when we were in Florida and you didn't mention anything about this. Why?" she asked.
You and Nat were more than just roommates in Florida, you two are like sisters, almost like twins. She was the one who trained you when you first join the team, she was the first person you confide in about your identity and how you lost your family when you were still a teenager, and you two were inseparable when it comes to rescuing each other's ass in terms of war, mission, life, and also love.
"Sorry Nat," you gave her a small smile, "I wanted to but Steve and I decided to just keep it low since we have no idea how you guys will take it."
"Yeah," Steve rescued you from Nat's surprise questions, "We know you guys would be somehow surprised to know that we are together now."
Why you and Steve thought of how they'll react? Because a year ago, Steve was cornered by the team, except you, of course, asking him if he'll ever date you and his answer is a big no no no.
Steve then explained to you the reason why he didn't want to date you because he thinks that you're too good for him, that you don't deserve to have a pain in the ass like him in your life. He knows how being an Avenger can be hard and making you date someone from the same course of work may cause you too much pain. But obviously, he has always been fond of you, even before he was asked by that question. He has always been into you.
"I'm quite aware of your adoration with Y/N, Rogers," Sam points his finger at Steve, "But I thought you don't want to date her because quote she's too good to be true for you unquote," he added making a gesture in the air.
"Yeah!" Bruce yelled and shook his head, "And now you two are a thing?"
"Why did you fondue her?" Nat asked.
"Because I can't get enough of her," Steve sighed as he tries to explain himself, "One day I woke up, I don't want to be just her co-worker, her colleague, her friend. I woke up one day, I already want to be with her, and that is it. I took my coward ass in front of her door and asked her out."
That's how it happened.
You just woke up from an afternoon nap in your room in the compound when you heard a knock on your door. You thought it was just Thor, Bruce, and Nat asking you to join them in a quick bar hopping, but you were too tired to join them. To your surprise, you opened the door and found a nervous muscled, and blonde man in front of you. You thought he's just gonna ask you about your training with him later that week, but no, he asked you if you want to visit a nearby museum with him, he knew you are fond of museums and art so that's how you and Steve Grant Rogers had your first date.
It was also that same night when he told you that he can't just be in the same room with you being completely unaware of what he truly feels for you. So yeah, he confessed to you that night. And that date night followed by another, and another, and another, until he asked you to be officially his and without any doubt, you said yes Steve, I love you too.
"Woah," Clint reacted after Steve finished his storytelling, "These happened under our nose and we had no idea?" he asked, still unsure whether he's dreaming or not. "The last time we talked, Rogers, you told me you weren't seeing anyone," Clint added.
Steve gave Clint an apologetic smile, "Had to lie. Sorry 'bout that, and yeah," he sighed as he looks each member of the team, "Sorry about the little lie and secrecy Y/N and I made. Hope you guys won't be mad at us. We just really don't know how you guys would react about us."
You stood up and stood in front of where Nat is sitting, she looks at you as you try to reach for her hand, "Hey, sorry for this secret. I just..."
Nat cut you off, "Don't be a fool, Y/N," she stood up and held your arms, "I understand and I think I will just do the same thing if I'm in your place. I completely understand and I respect your decision as a couple," she playfully rolled her eyes, "God, can't believe you two are a thing now."
You chuckle as you open your arms to embrace her.
You just really had to make sure that Nat is not offended nor mad at you for keeping your relationship with Steve a secret from her. It was a good thing she understood why you did what you did and it only means she's truly happy for you and Steve.
When you and Nat pull away from each other, you saw Bruce standing in your peripheral, you thought he's gonna hug you and you were already ready to embrace the big guy, but he didn't come to you, he approached Nat instead.
"Uh-oh, someone got jealous," Tony being his usual jerky self.
"So Steve and Y/N had to be in a relationship before you finally made up your mind and ask me out?" Nat sarcastically asked Bruce and that made everyone laugh.
You step a bit away from the two and you felt an arm behind you, realizing it was your boyfriend, you cling your arms around him too as you all watch Bruce and Nat.
"I don't know why it took me so long to do this, but I don't want to waste my time and wait for another ancient man to get ahead of me," Bruce is obviously nervous while looking at Nat, but there's no more holding back, "So, Natasha Romanoff, can we have a proper date after tonight?"
"Well, I don't want your other friend to show up, so yeah," Nat nodded, "I'll go out with you."
You saw how prepared Natasha was to have a glance at you and gave you a "finally he asked me out" smile, but before she could do it, Bruce cupped her face and kissed her on her lips, and that made everyone gasp in surprise.
"Is this what we call domino effect?" Steve whispered to your ear before he planted a kiss on the side of your head.
You look at him, "Why do men take so long to finally ask a woman out?" you asked him back.
"Well, it's worth the wait, right?" he asked you.
"Yeah, it was worth it," you said as you tilt your head and tiptoe to give your man a kiss on his lips.

Tumblr media
Exhaling heavily, you throw the garbage bag into the shaft and push it down with all your strength. Beads of sweat have already formed on your forehead which you wipe away with the back of your hand. It is, again, incredibly hot on Tatooine today and the unbearable heat has been beating your mind and body all day. But what temperatures can you expect from a desert planet, right?
The desert planet of hell, as you like to call it. Disgusting creatures, pirates, bounty hunters and actually all kinds of insidious henchmen cavort here in Mos Espa. The city you grew up in. The city you have always been stuck in and probably will be stuck in for the rest of your life. You come from a small and poor family, no money to escape this hell, always having to work hard to survive.
And yet you had a better life than other children here. Because you were lucky enough to not get sold as a slave. Your parents could always raise enough money - often in ways you do not support - to save you. Even though you are more than grateful, you cannot help but to sometimes wonder what would have happened if. If you became a slave, maybe just maybe, you might have met the same lucky fate as him.
It has been ten long lonely years since the two Jedi Masters Qui-Gon Jinn and Obi-Wan Kenobi were stranded on Tatooine and seeked help. You were still very young, therefore you can barely remember their faces. But you definetely do remember the face of him, Anakin Skywalker. The little boy from Tatooine.
How could you ever forget him? He was the nicest, bravest and most courteous boy you have ever met in your life. You always knew that something about him was different. The way he acted, the way he thought. There was just something about him that fascinated you and before you knew it you had developed a small crush on him. You got along well and you loved to watch him when he was working on his droid yet again. He always told you about his dreams, how he wanted to help, how much he wanted to get away from this dump called Tatooine. With his mother.
And with you.
Anakin and his mother Shmi Skywalker were slaves and belonged to Watto, one of the many junk dealers and human traffickers of Mos Espa. Even though they must have had a terrible life, Anakin always stayed positive. The smile on his dirt-stained face when he was building on his droid was priceless and you can see it in front of you as if it was yesterday. In fact, it has been ten years.
Ten years since the Jedi Masters took Anakin with them to train him as a Padawan in the ways of the Jedi. You were happy for him, you really were. He was finally able to leave this terrible planet and live a better life elsewhere. But to a certain price, since he had to go without his mother and also without you, his best friend.
"Y/N! These tables do not clean themselves!", a voice calls for you from inside and you just roll your eyes before leaving the heat outside, entering the building again. Inside, the musty smell of smoke greets you, low music plays in the background and you go straight towards the round bar in the middle of the room. This is the most popular hotspot of Mos Espa: the infamous Twin Sun, a bar in the center of the city. The place where the creepiest species float around, where the dirty business is done.
You absolutely hate your job in the bar. Every day you have to tidy up and serve under worst conditions. Especially in the later hours of the evening, when it is completely overcrowded, you are running back and forth every second, receiving disgusting comments from the guests. However, hardly anyone is here in the early morning and you have to only take care of the leftovers from the previous day. Unfortunately though, you have to endure this kind of job.
Your parents, who always saved you from the worst, are too old and weak now to raise money themselves and you felt obliged to take on this role. That is also the reason why you have several jobs at the same time. In addition to working in the Twin Sun, you also work at some booths at the weekly market and when you are lucky, you can sometimes even help out on the farms outside of the city. It is the only way to ensure your family's survival.
While you are about to wipe the empty tables, the roaring unpleasant noises of podracers echo through the building, sweeping through the bar like an earthquake, and the following loud cheers of the audience can hardly be overheard. The race is also a reason why it is exceptionally empty here today. Almost every living creature in Mos Espa is in the Grand Arena, cheering on their favorite, probably making some bets beforehand.
Personally, you hate these races more than anything.
Besides being totally unfair and dangerous, it is really just about the money - the money you do not own. The same participant always wins and despite your hatred of these races, you watched one of them for the first and last time when Anakin himself participated, won and was thus able to free himself from slavery. Only his mother remained on Tatooine but he promised he would come back and rescue her once he is a fully trained Jedi.
It has now been ten years and he has still not shown up.
Well, maybe he did show up after all, just did not look for you as he initinally promised. Maybe he only picked up his mother, not you.
A few years ago you had to watch how his mother got sold at the weekly market, but the buyer actually seemed very nice and later you found out that he even gave her freedom and took her as his wife. The man called Cliegg Lars used to come to the bar regularly until a few weeks ago. Does Anakin know, or can he maybe even feel, what happened?
"What do you think you are doing?! Finally work for your money or I will kick you out!", the bartender, who is also your boss, suddenly yells at you and pulls you out of your thoughts. "Sorry", you huff out and continue to clean up the tables at a quicker pace. It is a day like any other day. At least that is what you thought.
After you have cleaned all the tables you stand behind the bar and tidy up the glasses. Meanwhile it is already in the afternoon and the bar is much more crowded than it was this morning, which means more work for you. However, for some inexplicable reason, you are very distracted today, your mind always wandering off, and when you do not pay attention for a tiny second, a glass slips out of your hand and shatters into a million pieces.
"Watch out!", your boss grumbels at you immediately, only waiting for such an opportunity. Quietly cursing under your breath, you pick up some of the broken pieces. With a hiss you reflexively pull back your hand after accidentally cutting yourself on a sharp piece. Quickly, you put the small bleeding area against your lips to stop the blood from flowing.
"A table just got free back there! Clean it", your boss orders, not waiting for you to get up again as he almost throws the wet cloth into your face. Trying to control the rising anger inside of you as best as possible, you stand up, dispose of the broken pieces and make your way to said table. When you reach it, you have an uncomfortable feeling all of a sudden, a feeling of someone watching you. You turn around but do not see anyone looking into your direction. Shaking off the weird feeling, you take care of your task and then go back behind the counter to do your work while you hear your boss talking loudly to one of the guests on the other side.
"Watto, Watto.. Never heard of him before", he says thoughtfully over the music. You frown irritated and bend over to be able to see your boss. He is talking to a young, handsome man who seems quite determined about finding Watto. "Buy something or get out of here, kid!", your boss suddenly threathens, but the young man seems pretty unimpressed. Nevertheless, he turns around and leaves but not without your eyes meeting first. His blue eyes shimmer in the weak light and while turning away, he pulls the brown hood of his cloak over his head.
Even though your boss did not call you for help, something deep inside of you tells you to help this unknown, mysterious man. After all, you actually know Watto. You worked for him in your younger years until he went bankrupt eventually. Therefore, it is very uncommon and suspicious for someone to ask for him.
You put everything aside right away and go to your boss, who seems to be in an extremely bad mood today. "I take my break now", you quickly let him know and without giving him a chance to answer, you already head towards the entrance. When you arrive outside, you take a look around and spot the young man just a few meters away from you. Running after him, you gently tug on his sleeve to draw his attention to you.
"Excuse me", you stop him in his tracks and he turns to you with confusion written all over his face. "I heard you ask my boss about Watto in the bar. I know where to find him."
His face seems even more surprised now and he raises his eyebrows. "Really?", he asks, a hint of hope in his voice. You nod in agreement. "Can you lead me to him?", he resolutely asks and you nod again.
"You do not look like you are from here. What do you want from Watto?", you ask him curiously and go ahead to lead the way while he follows right behind you. "That is not important and also none of your business, I think", he replies emotionless, only looking ahead and not at you. You are a little taken aback by his harsh words but decide that it is best to not ask any more questions. He seems quite serious about it and somehow you still cannot get rid of this strange feeling inside of you.
You lead the way to the market, where some stalls are set up, and finally find Watto at his regular place in the shade of a house. He sits on a small chair and is currently busy examining a screw in his hand as you both approach him. Watto raises his gaze when he realizes that someone is walking towards him and as soon as he recognizes you, he flutters into the air excitedly.
"Oh! I have not seen you in a long time", he laughs and looks at the unknown man next to you. "There is someone who was looking for you, Watto", you explain in Huttese and point to the young man next to you, who bows his head slightly as if he could also understand what you are saying. Which is ridiculous, of course, because only Tatooine people can speak and understand Huttese.
Immediately Watto flies back, unsure whether he has done anything wrong. "Excuse me?", he trys hiding his nervousness, suspiciously looking at you.
Instead of telling Watto what he wants, he picks up a piece of equipment and fiddles with it. "Let me help you with that", he murmurs under his breath while actually speaking in Huttese, fixing the broken piece. "What? I do not know you! What can I do for you?", Watto grumbels but his eyes widen at once as he discovers something. "You look like a Jedi. Whatever it is.. I did not do it!"
A Jedi?
The next words abruptly catch you off guard and your heart completely stops beating.
"I am looking for Shmi Skywalker."
You look at him in shock as he pulls the hood down, Watto looking at him exactly the way you do as he finally lets out the words you were too scared to say.
"Ani? Little Ani?", Watto breathes out in astonishment, now using Basic instead of Huttese. When Watto then realizes that he fixed the broken piece, he happily jumps into the air. "You are Ani! You sure sprouted! A Jedi! Hey, maybe you couldda help wit some deadbeats who owe me a lot of money.."
"My mother."
"Oh, yes. Shmi.. she is not mine no more. I sold her", Watto confesses, obviously feeling uncomfortable about the situation while you are still not able to get out a word as they get stuck in your throat.
You were sure that you would never see Anakin again in your life, that he would have long forgotten about you. And now that he is actually back, that he is actually standing right next to you, you cannot believe it. He changed so much that you did not even recognize him.
And it seems he does not recognize you either.
"Sold her?"
"Years ago. Sorry, Ani, but you know, business is business."
"Who did you sell her to?"
"I-I do not remember, actually. I think it was a farmer, yeah, a moisture farmer probably", Watto stutters and his words pull you out of your trance all of a sudden, hitting a trigger in your head.
"His name, Watto."
"I-I think I do not know-"
"Cliegg", you mention softly, turning your gaze to Anakin whose brows are furrowed in confusion. "His name is Cliegg Lars."
"How could you-", Anakin starts, slowly becoming more tense, but as he looks at you more closely, at your face and in your beautiful glistening eyes, his expression suddenly softens. "Y/N?"
"Anakin", you say barely audible, trying to prevent your eyes from watering at hearing your name out of his mouth for the first time in years.
He does remember you. He did not forget about your existence.
You both cannot help but stare at each other for what feels like hours before he gently pulls you into his now very strong arms, hugging you tightly.
After all these years you were separated one would probably think that the hug would be uncomfortable and awkward. But it is far from that. Anakin's embrace is warm and soft, like it used to be when he was still here. He just got stronger and much taller since then.
He grew up.
On a whole different planet, far far away from you.
He has become a Jedi and fights for justice in the galaxy while you are still stuck on the same old planet, struggeling to keep your family alive.
"I can't believe it is actually you, Y/N!", Anakin gives you a warm smile after breaking the hug, his hands still resting on your forearms to keep you close while scanning you from the top to the bottom. "You have grown so much."
"I could say the same to you", you giggle, hiding your bright smile behind your hand while you blush. His blue eyes have become even brighter than you remember them and his face and stature in general look extremely healthy. If someone had told you years ago that Anakin would develop into such a handsome man, you almost would not have believed them. Yet, in your eyes he is still the same Anakin.
"And you are a Jedi", you mumble, pointing to the lightsaber attached to his belt under his brown cloak. Anakin continues to stare at you for a moment before finding his way back to reality.
"O-Oh yes. My lightsaber", he stumbles over his words and looks down at his weapon, but makes sure to completely hide it behind the fabric after that while clearing his throat. Slowly but surely it suddenly gets a bit awkward between you, none of you knowing what to say or where to start.
You have so much to tell him and still want to ask him so many question, but you do not know how.
"So, you know where my mother is?", Anakin finally speaks up again and breaks the silence, but with a question you did not quite hope for.
"It is very far outside of Mos Espa, yes. I can bring you there", you answer with a little sadness in your voice. Of course, he wants to find his mother after all these years.
"Hey! When you come back, make sure to visit me. Ani, I could really need some help, you know", Watto calls after you both as you show Anakin the way.
"He has not changed a bit", Anakin chuckles slightly next to you and follows you over the street, where you pass numerous creatures and vehicles.
"We need a vehicle to get there", you absently speak to yourself while searching for a suitable one. "Or a Dewback works too."
"A landspeeder sounds good", Anakin immediately answers after you end your sentence, almost interrupting you. With raised eyebrows you look at him sceptically.
"What happened to your sense of adventure?"
"I got older, I guess", he sighs and you hear out some sadness in his voice for the split of a second, but you tell yourself that it must have been your imagination.
"We all did", you mumble and finally agree to take a landspeeder instead of a dewback, even though it is much more expensive. However, Anakin insists on paying and after doing so you sit in the passenger seat, patiently waiting for him to join you and start driving.
At high speed you whiz over the dry sand and out of the city towards the seemingly endless outback. From time to time you glance over at Anakin, who does not look at you once, not even when you tell him the directions. When you catch yourself staring at him for longer than a second, you look away quickly but not without noticing the changes in his apperance.
His face has become much more striking and his hair got darker. The dark brown cloak that is covering his body compliments his eyes and makes them shine even more.
On your way you drive past a group of Jawas with their Sandcrawler, who are currently busy taking apart an abandoned spaceship that has apparently been stranded out here.
After a few more minutes you finally reach the Lars homestead and get out of the speeder, Anakin giving you a helping hand that you shyly accept. He keeps his gaze on the dome in front of you though and you can feel the nervousness that suddenly emanates from him.
As soon as you both walk towards it, a girl, younger than Anakin and you, comes up the stairs after she has apparently heard your arrival. Which is honestly not very difficult out here regarding the fact nobody comes here that often.
"Can I help you?", she asks, concern in her voice, and the longer you look at her, the more familiar she gets until it clicks in your head. She is Cliegg's daughter-in-law. You have often worked together on the farm. It seems like she already recognized you as the concern in her face slowly fades.
"Beru, right? I often helped you out on your farm", you take a step towards her and she nods in agreement before glancing at Anakin, who is standing directly behind you.
"We are looking for Shmi", you explain and Beru's brows furrow, obviously confused as to why you search for her.
"She is currently at the market in Mos Eisley with my boyfriend. But they should be back any moment", she mentions and then points down the stairs behind her. "If you want, you can wait for her inside."
Accepting her offer, you follow her inside the dome and you are completely amazed when you arrive at the open pit, a crater housing a courtyard from which all rooms can be accessed. You saw the huge hole in the ground before but never paid attention to it.
You follow Beru into what seems to be a kitchen and she asks you to sit down, but before you are able to, Anakin suddenly turns around due to a noise and a man in a power chair appears behind you.
"Who are you? What do you want?", he asks grumpily and Anakin's grip around his lightsaber on his belt, probably a reflex, reduces as you step in between. "Oh, Y/N! It is you!"
"Good afternoon, Cliegg. I am sorry for our unannounced visit, but we are looking for your.. wife", you say, almost whispering your last words, your heart stopping for a moment when you realize Anakin does not even know his mother married this farmer.
"What?", Anakin asks, shocked, his eyes widened and his lips split while he takes a step forward.
"I am Cliegg Lars. Shmi is my wife. Then you must be my stepson", Cliegg introduces himself and offers Anakin a handshake, which gets refused as Anakin just stares at him in disbelief.
"How is that possible?", Anakin breathes, directing his gaze to the ground, and you discover how he fiddles with the sleeves of his cloak in despair.
"I bought her from Watto at that time and gave her freedom before I made her my wife", Cliegg explains calmly, also noticing Anakin's displeasure about the situation. "My son and Shmi are just-"
He does not get to finish his sentence when loud screams and shouts interrupt him out of nowhere, silencing all of you. A brief moment later you are already on your way back up, Anakin ahead.
Once at the top you spot another landspeeder that has stopped in the distance, fuming. Due to the bright sunlight it is difficult at first to see that two people approach you, followed by several aggressive, snarling Massiffs. Disgusting beasts from hell that usually only live in the mountains unless they have been tamed by Tusken Raiders for their own purposes.
Quickly, you come to the conclusion that they must have been attacked by Tusken Raiders, who are now chasing their pets after them. It takes another second until you all realize that these two people running towards you are none other than Anakin's mother and stepbrother.
"Owen!", Beru desperately exclaims next to you, hands covering her mouth in shock.
Without hesitation, Anakin and you sprint straight towards them at the same time, hoping to somehow help and save them. But when suddenly a blue light brightly erupts next to you, you almost forget to keep running.
Anakin now runs towards them with his ignited lightsaber, much faster than you, and reaches them in seconds. Positioning himself protectively in front of them, waiting until they have run past him, he kills one of the Massiffs with the single stroke of his deadly weapon.
"Y/N, get them to safety!", Anakin shouts while he is fighting with the Massiffs, and you obey his words, quickly escorting them back to their house.
Glancing back after you have brought them inside safely, Anakin has just fended off an attack and pushes the monster a few meters back through the air, his hand outstretched. Finally, yowling and panting, the few survivors retreat and if you would not have called out Anakin's name, you are sure he would have followed them.
Deactivating his lightsaber, he quickly comes back to you, his face flooded with anger and pain. However, instead of paying attention to you, he walks straight past you.
"Are you injured?", you catch his upper arm worriedly and bring him to a stop. Shaking his head, he immediately removes his arm from your grip and continues his way down the stairs. With a sigh, you follow him.
"Where is she?", Anakin asks emotionlessly when reaching the bottom of the stairs, stopping abruptly and causing you to accidentally run into him.
"Ani?", a quiet voice finally sounds and Shmi steps out.
"Mom", Anakin swallows hard and embraces her tightly in his arms as she comes running towards him. After ten long years, mother and son are finally reunited.
"Oh, you look so handsome", Shmi sobs and takes a closer look at Anakin, taking his face between her hands, whereupon Anakin places a kiss on her palm. "My son. Oh, my grown up son. I am so proud of you, Ani."
"I missed you", he sniffs in response and a few tears find their way down his, her and also your cheeks.
"You came back, I can't believe it", she happily smiles at him, pride showing in her eyes.
"Just like I promised", he gives her the same smile and they hug each other again.
"And you saved us. You truly became a Jedi", Shmi sobs and Anakin gives her a kiss on the forehead before her gaze falls on you for the first time. "Y/N! Thank you so much for bringing him here."
"Of course", you wipe away your happy tears and smile back at her.
"Let us eat something, children", Cliegg then suggests while already being on his way to the kitchen, followed by his son and daugther-in-law.
"You might want to freshen up. I will show you where you can", Shmi offers and leads you both through a hole in the wall into a medium-sized room before she reluctantly separates from Anakin.
"Show me your leg", you order as soon as Shmi is out of reach and he turns around to you in confusion. "Your leg, Anakin. I saw you limp."
"It is not that bad", he shrugs it off and puts his Jedi robe aside, revealing his broad shoulders.
"Please", you repeat again and stare at him worriedly until he is no longer able to hold your gaze and pulls up his pants to reveal his leg. You have to swallow hard when a gaping wound appears on his shin and it takes you a lot of self control to not scream at him right there.
"That has to be treated, Ani!", you rebuke him indignantly, but now he is the one who keeps staring at you until you notice what you have just said. "A-Anakin, I mean."
"N-No, no! It is okay. I like when you call me that, it just... it has been some time since you last did", he clears his throat and your cheeks turn into a slight shade of red.
"Y-Yes, a long time ago. But we have gotten older, like you said", you stutter out, trying to make the situation less awkward. "I will ask if they have Bacta patches here, fix you up and make my way home."
"What are you even talking about?", Anakin raises his voice all of a sudden, rather unintentionally as you notice in his subsequent expression, while he grabs your wrist tightly to keep you from walking away.
"You have just seen your mother for the first time in ten years. I am sure you have a lot to tell her and I do not want to stand in the way", you explain and place your hand on top of his to loosen his grip, but to no avail.
"But.. I want to tell you too, Y/N. You are forgetting that I saw you again for the first time in ten years as well. I do not want you to go now", Anakin admits and takes a step closer to you, his eyes pleading to not leave him. "Apart from that, I will certainly not let you go now when these monsters are out there."
Leaving you no choice and not even a chance to answer, he suddenly pulls you into a tight hug, much like he did with his mother.
"I missed you so damn much", he softly whispers and you can't help but smile while you wrap your arms around him.
"I missed you too, Ani", you mumble against his shoulder and claw your hands into the fabric of his clothes.
Although you already hugged each other when you first met today, this one feels much more intense than before. It makes you feel safe and warm and comfortable, a feeling that you have not felt on this planet for a long time. For ten years, to be exact.
The next morning, you tiredly step outside into the burning hot twin suns and follow the voices coming from the kitchen. You stayed awake late yesterday and Anakin told you everything. From start to finish, he explained everything about his training to you, everything that happened after he left ten years ago. You have eagerly listened to his stories about the numerous adventures and here and there caught yourself staring at him sadly but lovingly.
Even though he pretended to be strong while telling these heartbreaking stories, you could see that he is not. After all these long years you can still read it on his face in an instant. He was not strong after Qui-Gon Jinn was killed shortly after their departure and also not when he became Padawan of a Jedi who was almost still a Padawan himself. He was not strong when he has been seperated from his family and he still is not as strong as he pretends to be. No matter from which point of view you look at it, Anakin is still the little boy from Tatooine.
"Good morning", you yawn when you meet the Lars family in the kitchen.
"Sit down, Y/N. I made breakfast", Shmi happily greets you and puts a plate down for you on the table.
You have not seen Shmi this happy in a long time. You never met her often after Cliegg freed her from slavery, but when you did, she always looked very absent and, above all, sad. She seems like a whole different person now.
"If you are looking for Anakin, he is outside", Shmi mentions when she notices your mental absence. Shyly, you nod and give her a warm smile. After you have eaten up your breakfast, you make your way upstairs. Arriving outside, you briefly get blinded by the bright suns when the dome no longer offers you protection.
However, as soon as your eyes get used to the sunlight, your breath gets caught in your lungs when a huge spaceship appears in your field of vision. The ship landed just a few meters away from the farm, the boarding hatch open. You spot Anakin in front of it, deeply submerged in a conversation with another man.
Said man notices you right away and draws Anakin's attention to you with a subtle head movement. When Anakin then sees you and the worried expression on your face, he waves you over. Nervously, you set yourself in motion and approach them.
"What is going on here, Anakin?", you ask shyly after discovering a lightsaber on the other man's belt, quickly gesturing a bow with your head.
"This is my master, Obi-Wan Kenobi. Maybe you still remember him", Anakin introduces him to you and, in fact, you actually do remember his face.
"If this isn't the little girl from back then who watched us leave with such a heartbreaking expression", Obi-Wan loudly thinks and scratches his beard before patting Anakin's shoulder. "I will go ahead and meet Padmé on board."
At his words, an uncomfortable feeling of nervousness rushs through your body until it turns into a feeling of sheer fear. Not only because you remember the name and its associated, incredibly beautiful Queen of Naboo, - which Anakin also told you about in his stories - but also because you suddenly feel like your worst nightmare turns into reality.
"W-What does he mean by that?", you stutter out, not really wanting to hear an answer to your question, but Anakin gently puts his hands on either side of your cheeks to calm you down.
"The Jedi Order has called Obi-Wan and me back to Coruscant, along with the senator", Anakin sighs and sadly looks to the ground, his thumb lightly stroking your skin. "My mother is happy here and that is most important for me. I now know that she is fine and safe."
Transforming his words into sharp weapons, they painfully shoot through your heart and you take a step back immediately, breaking the body contact with him.
"But I am not, Anakin!", you yell at him desperately, much louder than originally intended, and he just looks at you in shock from your sudden outburst. "I am not fine since you left ten years ago! I can't do this anymore."
"Y/N-"
"No, do not touch me! Please", you sob and wrap your arms around your own body in order to protect you from further damage. "Would you- Would you have even searched for me at all if I had not found you first?!"
Breathing hard while accusing him, he remains quiet and does not answer. His eyes wander around, desperately seeking an appropriate answer that will not hurt you, but he terribly fails.
"That's what I thought", your voice breaks and a single tear runs down your cheek before you turn around and walk away. However, you do not get very far when you feel a firm grip on your arm and are turned around again to face him shortly afterwards, your bodies only inches away from each other.
"Come with me."
"W-What?"
"Come back to Coruscant with me, Y/N", he begs you, his voice full of sorrow.
"A-Ani-"
"I had a dream about my mother and about you. You were badly injured and I was too late to save you", Anakin confesses, desperation prominent in his coarse voice, opening up to you all of a sudden, letting his guard down and showing you his vulnerable side for once. "That is why I came back. That is why I am back on Tatooine."
"A-Anakin. I can't.. I have responsibilities here", you choke out and look away, not able to hold his pleading gaze while your hands and knees shake in fear. "I have to go back to my parents.. I can't just leave them like this."
Silence spreads between you until Anakin lifts your face up with his fingers on your chin, deeply looking into your eyes. Suddenly your fear is reflected in his glassy eyes. A fear you last saw all those years ago when he left. When he had to leave his mother and you behind. It is precisely this fear that is now reappearing in his eyes and all of a sudden the little boy from Tatooine is back, not wanting to leave his home.
"I understand", his shaky voice whispers as he is close to tears as well.
How much you would like to just go with him. To just leave everything behind and finally get off this dirty planet. But you know it would not be fair to your parents and that you can't just leave them behind. As much as you would love to go with Anakin, you would never forgive yourself if you did.
"I am really sorry, Ani", you carefully say and place your hands on his upper arms to steady yourself before he pulls you closer and places his chin on top of your head.
"I will come back", he breathes into your hair and his voice sounds so fragile in your ears that you can no longer hold back the pricking tears, letting them stream down your cheeks freely. "I promise."
"I will wait for you", you fake a smile through your tears before he gives you a gentle kiss on the forehead, leaving a warm spot there.
The following repeated exclamation of his name coming from his master makes your heart ache even more and Anakin takes a step away from you, breaking off any contact.
"See you soon", he forces a smile and slowly retreats backwards to the spaceship, not averting his gaze from you and repeatedly raising his hand to wave goodbye.
Your eyes filled with tears and your vision blurred, you watch him leave and say goodbye with a heavy heart.
After ten long years you were finally able to see him again. You were ten years apart and now you pray that it will not be another ten years until you meet again.
