Just like any other businesses, it only started with a few chains until it expanded and continued to cater its consumers up until today. As time goes by, it has expanded their menu but still managed to maintain their low costs but the quality menu. For as low as PHP 64.00 you can already get to taste Buger King’s flame-Grilled burger and with PhP 59.00, you can already enjoy having their rice meal. Up until this day, Burger King is one of the most popular, top-grossing, and flavorful fast-food chains not just locally but also internationally.

We all know that the fast-food chain industry is one of the reasons why the hospitality industry continues to arise and operational due to its high demand. People love it because it offers convenience, affordability and time-saving. Fast-food chains such as KFC, McDonald's, Jack in the Box, Wendy's and Popeyes are the top 5 competitors of Burger King. Its wide variety, effective strategy, strong franchising model, delicious taste, and etc. is what makes it keep up in competing its rivalries. Whopper, Chicken Sandwiches, Cheeseburgers are some of its product offerings and that is why Burger King is dubbed as "Home of the Whopper". In year 2018, Burger King has a total revenue of 388.74 crore in which it was the least revenue they got between the year 2018-2021. In 2019, they got 644.13 crore while in 2020, they have accumulated the highest revenue they have so far that has a total of 846.83 crore amidst the global pandemic that is happening. Today, year 2021, during the first quarter of the year, they have earned a total of 151.65 crore revenue.

The company has served almost 16 million customers a day and 2.4 billion Burger King’s hamburgers are sold annually across the world.

In 1954, Burger King Corporation was founded by the two entrepreneurs James McLamore and David Edgerton. It is originally owned by Keith Kramers and his wife’s uncle Mathew Burns. Burger King was inspired by McDonald’s and formerly named as Insta-Burger King during 1953. Even with the rapid success of the Insta-Burger it experienced financial trouble that led James McLamore and David Edgerton to buy the entire company from Keith Krammers and Mathew Burns. McLamore and Edgerton decided to widen their menu in 1957 with Whopper, a burger for big appetites, but still a lower price and they took the power of the popular medium which is television. The first T.V commercial of Burger King was aired in 1958 on Miami’s V.H.F Station and after 5 years by 1959, Burger King was able to expand their outlets outside Florida by establishing its franchise system. The system worked allowing Burger King to increase quickly. Burger King Company was also pursuing to reach out children and establish Kids Club but then by 2015 Burger King had no longer focused on this area.

Shattered Part 2: A ROTTMNT Fanfiction

Summary: The Best intentions don’t always don’t always have the Best results.

A/N I base Donatello’s struggles and Autism on my own experience and those of my family members who also have Autism. Also don’t be too mad at Leo, he’s trying

also I tried for HOURS to make a link to the previous chapter. I gave up, i’m sorry. I can’t even edit this thing after I post it to fix it, so this is it i’m sorry

Believe it or not, a family of mutants can have a normal morning.

For eleven year old Leo, that involved a bowl of Lou Jitsu Cereal, drowned in sugar (because the cereal was three years past its expiration date), and a morning of cartoons along his brothers. All crowded around the new projector Donnie had set up a few days ago. Which was a blessing, seeing as up until then they had to make do with an old rabbit antenna tv set that was always green.

Raph laughed loudly at the cartoons antics just as Donnie joined them, a plate of plane toast in his hands and his newly built tablet shoved under his arm, “Alright who has it?”

‘Has what?” Leo said without looking away from the screen

“My headphones,” As usual, even though Donnie was only eleven he spoke as though everyone else was the biggest idiot in the world. Leo never took offense though, if anything he thought it was flattering to be considered that stupid, “It’s 10:00 which means its time for my Ted Talk hour. I need my headphones back.”

Mikey finally tore his eyes away from the screen before popping up to his feet, ‘Oops! Sorry D, hold on,” he put his bowl precariously on a stack of magazines before hurrying away.

“See? No worries D.” Leo gave his brother one of his smiles, only to be returned with a scowl

“Leo, he took my headphones.”

“He borrowed them.”

“He took them without permission, I took me weeks to get all the parts I needed from the dump.”

Leo knew where this was headed, and unfortunately Raph was a little too wrapped up In the Looney Toons to pay attention to them. He set his bowl down as well before walking over, “D,” he thought carefully about what he was going to say, “He took them, but he didn’t’ do it to hurt you. You know, that right?”

Donnie glared at him, but Leo could see the anger and frustration slowly fading from his eyes. It had taken Leo a while to figure out how to calm Donnie down, usually facts did the charm. Information, something irrefutable, a word he had learned from Don, and thankfully Donnie was more forgiving of Mikey then the rest of them.

And it worked like a charm, Donnie took a deep breath,” Yeah…yeah, I know…” he exhaled a slowly breath, “he was curious…”

“Only cause he’s never seen a set of Bluetooth headphones before. Or headphones at all.”

Again, Donnie went silent, then nodded, “Maybe…I should make him a pair too.”

“I bet he’d like that. And if you want to go ahead and make us a third official unofficial twin robot-”

For the first time Donnie smiled, “That would be a triplet, would you and Raph like a pair too?”

“yes!’ Raph called from his spot without looking. Mikey hurried back into the living space, headphones in his hands with a guilty look on his face, “I’m sorry D, I cleaned them off with those wipes you like.” He held them out to him,” I’m sorry.”

Donnie again took a small breath and Leo worried that maybe he hadn’t calmed down enough but instead Donnie took the headphones back, “Just ask next time.”

“I will.” Mikey glanced over to Leo before walking back over to their cartoon morning. IT helped that Leo knew Mikey was truly sorry, but out of all their family members he was sure Mikey understood Donnie’s situation the least. That was something he had to fix soon before he did something Donnie couldn’t forgive. Leo smiled back at Donnie, “See?”

“Yeah,” Don’s eyes fell back on the purple headphones in his hands. Leo knew they were more than just a frivolous gizmo. They not only hooked up to everything electronic in the lair that had audio but also acted as noise filtering headphones when there was too much noise stimulation for Donnie to handle. “I didn’t mean to get worked up thanks Leo.”

“No prob.” And with that the morning almost seemed redeemable. Until Leo gave Donnie a pat on the shoulder with a large grin, “See? Aren’t you happy I’m always around to defuse you?” before he went back over to his breakfast, enjoying a morning he would forget by the next morning.

Leo didn’t notice the pain that filled Donnie’s eyes, or how Donnie stood completely still for several moments before scrubbing at his eyes and hurrying back to his room. Just like no one noticed the muffled sobs that came from his room for a few moments

Believe it or not, Leo did not like always being right. Well, he enjoyed being right most of the time. It was a sensation he never tired of. But sometimes being right wasn’t a great reward.

Especially after last night.

The red slider turtle squeezed his eyes shut, focusing on the sound of a gurgling coffee pot and overwhelming smell of the rancid bean drink. It wasn’t his favorite smell, but one of Donnie’s favorite things in the world. Responsible for many late nights, it was a personal joke for him to try and hide Donnie’s coffee maker wherever he could. Mostly to see his official unofficial twin tear the lair apart in a half-awake rage to find it. He didn’t’ much feel like laughing right now. Right now, he just wanted to make his brother coffee.

“-but I still don’t’ get how the Soup Minister found the Soup Princess- “

“You gotta pay attention Raph, Lou Jitsu was in a love triangle with Minister Minestrone and Princess Pumpkin - Yo Leo! What are you doing up this early? Are you putting dirt in Donnie’s coffee again? You know he hates that.”

For a moment Leo couldn’t bring himself to turn around, instead he focused on the brown liquid dripping to the coffee pot, “I’m not putting dirt in it.”

“fertilizer again? Seriously? That made him sick last time- “

Leo turned around, “I’m not making him dirt, or anything! I’m just making him coffee.” For a moment, he felt better to see Raph’s face slowly fade into confusion. Satisfied, in a way he didn’t like, “you ok man? You look awful?”

“Do I? Gee I hadn’t noticed, I was just up half the night with Donnie weeping in my arms then the other half cleaning up his room while he slept in my bed, so no Raphie I bet I do look awful.”

Raph blinked at him, others might have thought his inability to comprehend his words was because of a limited intelligence, but Leo knew better. Raph was capable but morning brain could take down anyone. Finally, it seemed to hit the largest brother, “Is Donnie ok?”

“NO, he’s not, he came home trashed his room, and came to room in mumbling about some weird facts. When I tried to talk to him, he just fell apart.”

“Where’s he now?”

“Sleeping, he cried but after a while he just pulled away and curled up on my bed. I thought it was better to let him sleep there. I checked on his room, a breaking mess even by Splinters standards I picked up whatever I could. I only got done recently then I came in here.” Uh oh, he could feel the anger coming back, building in his stomach,” I told you something was wrong. I TOLD YOU something bad would happen! And now- “Leo paused, taking a breath, sometimes he forgot to do that when he was riled up, “Now he’s home, with a black eye, and I don’t know what’s going to happen when he wakes up- “

“This isn’t’ dirt is it?”

For a moment, Leo almost forgot whey he was so mad. In unison the three brothers turned towards the sputtering coffee pot to where said Donnie was standing, giving them all a confused if not suspicious look “Which one of you heathens made this?” Before exhausted eyes fell on Leo, “It was you wasn’t’ it? I got sick last time when you put fertilizer in my coffee- “

“I- “ok shock over, “NO its just coffee I promise D.”

Donnie narrowed his eyes at him, before looking back to his coffee mug. Sniffing it, “Ok I trust it for now, but if I end up getting poisoned again, I will NOT be happy. Now, if you will excuse me, I have A LOT of work to do.” Before exit the room

For a moment, the remaining group could only stand there, before Mikey spoke up, “Um, yeah Leo he’s a total mess.”

“I-He- “it wasn’t often he was at a loss for words, but it was known to happen. Instead he waved at Raph and Mikey, “Just give me a minute!” before running out of the room. By the time he reached Don’s bed room, Don had already set his cup down and was picking up one of the boxes, “I supposed I should thank you for cleaning this up, soooo consider this that.”

“No problem.” Back in the bed room and the remains of everything Donnie had destroyed last night. Now that he was more awake, he could see that, thankfully, the monitors and more complex equipment was undamaged, but Don’s personal computer anything else had been broken in one way or another. Don’s loft bed had even been knocked over, “I guess you had a rough night?”

“I guess.” Donnie picked through the box before looking to Leo for the first time since he entered the room,” Have you seen my phone?”

Leo thought back to that night before reaching into his satchel, “I found it in here last night, I’m sorta surprised you didn’t’ have it on you.”

“Thanks.” Donnie took the phone from him before setting it on his desk, calmly pulling out the head piece of his bust, and slamming the large piece of metal over phone a dozen or so times with such ferocity Leo leapt back to avoid the showing of metal and glass. He jumped back so far, he collided with the chest of his oldest brother who had come to investigate the noise, “What the hell just happened?!”

“Uh, “Leo wasn’t’ quite sure himself, “I think Donnie just destroyed his phone with his own face.”

“Would you two calm down,” Donnie called from his spot, “I have extras and it backed up to my server.”

Calming down would have been fun, except he had once seen Donnie yell at a kitten for looking at his phone. But instead he gave Raph a pat on the stomach, “I’ll take care of this go ahead.’” Except when he turned to walk back into the room, Raph grabbed his shoulder and yanked him out of the space hard enough to make Leo yelp in surprise. Spinning him till Leo was facing him, two giant hands on his shoulders as Raph glanced back into the bed room then to him, “Look I know you want to help Donnie, and that you’re way better at this then I am, but doesn’t it seem like you should leave him alone before he treats your face like his phone?”

“I know Donnie’s a little unpredictable sometimes, but I can handle him. It’s a twin thing, if there’s anyone who can help him chill out it’s Leon.”

Raph gave him a look that clearly said, ‘do you REALLY have this or are you just saying that to make me go away’ but did so anyway. For a few moments, Leo stood at the doorway as Donnie puttered around the boxes. Donnie glanced at his direction with enough heat to stop him. He probably would have stepped closer except Donnie still had a death grip on his bust and it was becoming more and more likely by the second. So instead he took a different approach, “Have you eaten yet Don?”

“I’ll eat later, there’s too much work to do.”

“I can see that.” He took a step deeper into the room again, “Do you want to talk about it?”

“No.”

That was about what he expected. Leo moved over to lean on Don’s desk. Without really thinking about it, he drifted his hand out to land on his brothers’ shoulder, “D, bro its me. It’s Leon Neon. You can talk to me ok man? Why don’t you tell me what happened at the Yokai Mart? Did you get mad at someone? Did you get lost- “

“I said no, now let it go. I went out, came back and now I’m working. End of story. Why don’t you go calm someone else down?”

A flush of shame filled him, of course Donnie had heard him say that. But he shook it off, “Come on you know I have to talk that way to Raph he doesn’t get you like I do.”

“Yeah you get me, you can read my mind, you can defuse me. Now leave, I have a room to rebuilt”

“Yeah it needs to be rebuilt because you destroyed it, don’t you understand that?!”

Don’s shoulder jerked free of his hand and turned to him, “I understand, Leo because I did it. I know what I did. If it had been or Mikey or even, you none of you would have given it a second thought. But because I have Autism, everyone’s freaked out. So, they have to send in the bomb squad.”

“Hey, I’m just trying to help, you’re the one who blew up- “

Before Leo could finish his thought, and to be honest he wasn’t sure wanted to before Donnie’s hands came up and shoved him hard in the chest. The red slider turtle stumbled back, his shell hitting the desk to his right with a crash before falling onto the ground. His head was spared any contact with the ground, but he looked at Donnie with shock, only to be met with the same shocked expression “Leo-I-I’m sorry are you alright?”

“Yeah, just a little bruised.” He was about to climb to his feet when Donnie quickly took his hand and yanked him up hard enough to make him stumble. He danced for a little bit to keep standing before turning his attention back to Donnie, his eyes swimming in tears. “D- “

“Can you please go now? I don’t want talk anymore.”

“I- “Leo paused,” Donnie- “he wanted to argue. He wanted to stay. He wanted to assure Donnie that he was fine, that he was still here to help him. But now his brother was trembling so hard he was afraid he would fall apart altogether. And he knew if he tried to hold him like he did last night, it would only make things worst.

Donnie didn’t want comfort, or a shoulder to cry on

He wanted to be alone.

“Ok. I’ll go. I’m sorry,” Leo took several steps back, unwilling to let his brother out of his sight incase he changed his mind and asked Leo to stay. But he knew better, “I love you bro.” he said before leaving through the curtain.

A moment later he heard Donnie burst into tears for the second time in twenty-four hours.

And he was left helpless

Two weeks later Lila sat in the waiting room of the Gynecologist looking at her smartphone through her Facestargram profile seeing funny images shared by her former classmates. Above the smartphone screen appeared a dark box with the word Nathy, followed by a heart and the information of the smartphone. You’ve got a new message.

“Which level are you? 2 or 3?”

Lila typed down the number and sent it to her husband, afterward on the entrance to the waiting room the door got opened and it was Nathaniel, which held his smartphone in his hand and placed it back in his jacket.

“The bus got a bit delayed” Nathaniel explained.

“It’s fine, it’s also taking a little long here” Lila answered watching Nathaniel sit down beside his wife looking at her, which smiled at him and gave him a hug. “Thanks for coming”

“Is it weird for me to feel nervous?” Nathaniel asked feeling Lila plant her lips on his cheek.

“No, I think you’re just excited about the appointment” Lila explained. “Or did something else happened while you got here”

“No, I just stressed myself to get here ASAP”

“That wasn’t necessary” Lila mentioned, then into the waiting room, a woman doctor appeared with a dossier in her hands.

“Lila Kurtzberg?” The doctor asked watching Lila get up along with the redhead, then she accompanied the couple into another room and sat down together.

“Good, you’ve told me you were pregnant for eight weeks, am I right?” The doctor asked earning a nod from the brunette. “Have you felt anything strange as usual?”

“No, I just feel like I’m experiencing the similar pain I feel during the period” Lila explained. “Haven’t felt anything strange yet”

“Okay, so that’s good for now and your pain in the uterus. Is it manageable?”

“It’s okay for now” Lila answered.

“Yes,” The woman responded noticing down the minor piece of information the Italian woman gave her. “In case you feel insupportable intensive cramps around your abdomen I inform you already to pass by the clinic again just to be safe,” “Thank you”

“How do you spot the difference?” Nathaniel asked Lila, which shrugged her shoulder.

“I think it would be obviously more painful” Lila answered making Nathaniel swallow hard. “Come Nathy, you don’t need to worry about this. I’m already doing everything to keep our baby safe,”

“It’s good for your baby to have such a worrying father” The doctor complimented making Nathaniel grin a little embarrassed. “If you don’t mind, I’d like to do the ultra scan sound on you Mrs. Kurtzberg,” The doctor asked earning a nod from Lila, which followed the woman to a room across the bureau and Lila lied down on the chair next to the device, that is used to do the ultrasound scan. The doctor pulled another chair from the other side of the room close to Lila so that Nathaniel could sit down and see at the screen along with his wife.

The doctor grabbed a tube with gel, then pulled up Lila’s shirt to see Lila’s small baby bump and spread the gel all over her belly.

“The other days I feel like it’s not notable, but now I can see it” Nathaniel mentioned gazing down at Lila’s belly making her smile, then held her hand up at the man, which noticed it afterward he widened his eyes as he found out, what she meant and he gave her his hand admiring her.

The doctor placed the ultrasonic transducer on Lila’s belly and moved it over it while observing at the display various shades of gray.

“This kind of inspired me to paint something alike” Nathaniel mentioned exchanging looks with Lila, which gave him a courteous smile.

“Do you see this bean-like shade here?” The woman asked earning a nod from Nathaniel and a more eagerly from the Italian. “Your baby is right here and it is doing well so far” The woman explained making the couple smile and Lila pecked her husband on the lips.

“That’s great” Nathaniel answered, then he remembered to ask something. “Oh, and can we already see the gender?”

“I can’t to 100% tell the right answer, but the only thing I can show you is the heartbeat” The doctor mentioned changing a few options on the screen of the machine and under the image of the interior of the uterus appeared a line with middle-sized waves and a vertical line showed up on the begin moving forward as the sound of the baby heart was played. Lila beamed in excitement followed by Nathaniel, which had a dumbfounded face expression having it hard to believe, what he was listening to.

“That’s…...I…..Lila…...it’s….amazing” Nathaniel babbled, while Lila glowed in love with the sound of the embryo inside her.

“And the heart frequency is also good” The doctor mentioned looking at Lila, which had tears in her eyes, then covered her face getting all emotional with the situation.

“Wow, I haven’t seen her this emotional” Nathaniel mentioned a little surprised. “Are those mood swings?”

“It’s possible” The doctor answered. “The first months she’s going to act a little thin-skinned. She’s going to get sad about every little thing, angry or overly excited. You have to know it’s a little hard to deal with and she can’t stop this by herself. The best thing is just in different situations to act right”

“I try” Nathaniel responded placing his hand on Lila’s shoulder watching her and he leaned his forehead on her head.

Adrien stood along with Jin, Ettore and Rory in front of the cooling shelf of the supermarket looking for anything to eat for lunch.

“Hey is anyone interested to share the Tiramisu with me?” Ettore asked looking at the guys next to him.

“I think Jara loves Tiramisu, so far I know” Jin mentioned earning a nod from the Canadian.

“Wow there’s Coleslaw Salad,” Rory mentioned taking out a plastic package with the salad.

“Has anyone of you tasted poulet-curry salad?” Ettore asked looking at the group.

“I did two weeks ago and it was good in my opinion,” Adrien answered watching the friend take out the package, which from afar seemed to only contain curry sauce in it. “Looks from here like a lot of sauce,”

“No, I can see a few bits in it” Ettore mentioned. “But I hope it’s worth the five euros”

“I can’t decide between the Olivier Salad and the Pasta salad,” Adrien said looking at the two different salads on the shelf.

“I’ll be heading to the bread section. I think a bun or two with these would be nice” Ettore stated walking away from the group.

Jin widened his eyes and grabbed a pack of cheese rosettes and move a little further on the corridor, where he encountered cold coffees and took a dark-colored cafe latte out leaving Adrien back with Rory.

“Oh, these cheese slices are due tomorrow. I could take this and make a sandwich out of it” Rory mentioned looking at Adrien, which took out the Olivier salad. “With Salami it will be perfect” Rory said doing the chef kiss, making Adrien chuckle.

“Good, I’ve decided to pick this, cause it only had two days of expire date” Adrien mentioned. “One thing less thrown away”

“But I thought it gets donated” Rory mentioned earning a nod from Adrien.

“I think it does, but probably not everywhere or everything”

“I think looking every day for the expire date is hard”

“At least in a large store” Adrien added crossing in the next corridor his way with a tan-skinned man and the same Japanese man he met the other day on the bus.

“Oh, it’s Adrien” The Japanese began. “That’s the guy I talked about”

“We meet again Raiden,” Adrien said. “Weird how suddenly we start crossing our ways”

“It’s a good thing, cause I wanted to ask you at some point if you had thought on my offer” Raiden began watching Adrien think about the chat he had with his girlfriend. “And?”

“Sure” Adrien answered. “I just thought on, if Kagami was home today, maybe you could pass by”

“That would be cool” Raiden agreed rubbing his hands together. “I’m totally sure she would like it, that us two would get along or even the three of us”

“As you say” Adrien answered rolling his eyes, while Raiden smirked at little sardonically. “Give me your phone number in case I need to push this off for another day” Adrien suggested unlocking his smartphone holding it to Raiden, where he saw Adrien’s background picture, which contained himself holding Kagami behind his back and the girl had her arms around his shoulders exchanging looks with the blonde smiling at each other. Raiden growled a little bothered with the image, then Adrien pressed on the green call button and on the plus symbol on the display to add a new contact, then Raiden typed down his smartphone number and added his full name on it and clicked on the green tick to save his phone number.

“Thanks” Adrien answered neutrally and opened his smartphone and sent him a thumb up, making Raiden’s phone beep. “You’re going to see it?”

“I know it’s you” Raiden answered directly making Adrien look not impressed with the man’s attitude.

“So we gotta go. Our friends are waiting for us” Adrien mentioned earning a nod from the raven-haired man and Adrien passed beside Adrien along with Rory, which glanced back noticing Raiden’s body posture during the walk look angered.

“Who is that?” Rory asked watching Adrien look at him a little pissed.

“It’s that one jerk, that beat me in fencing a few years ago by cheating” Adrien explained. “I don’t know, if you remember, I told this about a year ago to all”

“Oh yeah, he was also the one to attack you in the restrooms, right?” Rory asked earning a nod from the blonde. “What is he doing here?”

“Apparently he’s on a language stay here and wants to make amends with me after meeting me on the bus”

“Maybe he really wants to be on good terms, how many years is that ago?” Rory questioned seeing Adrien show the age with his fingers.

“You know…..he wished me luck before our tournament this year…..in a bizarre way….but maybe he’s trying to change”

“Give him a chance and help him out,” Rory told the friend. “It will be the best for you two”

“Sure I try,” Adrien answered watching Rory pat him on the shoulder and move forward leaving Adrien back. Adrien picked up his smartphone to see a message from Marinette Dupain-Cheng.

“Hey Adrien. How are you? I’m inviting you to pass tomorrow evening at Mrs. Couffaine’s houseboat for dinner and cake. I would love to have you and Kagami around. Please answer this until tomorrow night. Greetings, Marinette Dupain-Cheng”

Adrien tapped on the side of his smartphone with his fingers thinking about it, then he typed down a short answer.

“I hope we can make it to it. I need to change a shift with a friend to be able to go there” Adrien sent the message afterward and walked the corridor down following a brown line on the ground, which leads to the bread section.

self-quarantine activities

1. Complete a puzzle: The more pieces the better! Feeling extra saucy? Take on a Rubik's Cube. More of a word person? Crossword puzzle!

2. Start a journal or blog. Sure, it can be about the coronavirus, but it could also be about a specific interest from chess to cheese.

3. If it won't bother your neighbors: Dust off that old instrument and practice.

4. Text all your exes just in case you have one more thing you wanted to get off your chest.

5. Write poetry. Perhaps you can craft a haiku for Mother's Day, or something without a specific structure. Just try it!

6. Watch all the really long movies you’ve avoided until now.

7. Download Duolingo, or a similar app, and teach yourself a foreign language.

8. Finally read “Infinite Jest,” “Les Miserables” or even “The Stand.” Go all in and read “Ulysses.” You got this.

9. Meditate. Try lying down with your eyes closed, palms up and while focusing on your breath. Or spend 20 minutes sitting crosslegged and repeat a soothing word to yourself in your head. (The latter is more like transcendental meditation.)

10. Face masks, moisturizer, oh my! Treat yourself to a 10-step skin care routine you don’t have time for during a normal work week.

11. Look at pictures of puppies.

12. Put together the most attractive charcuterie board possible, but you can only use foods you already have in your fridge and cupboard.

How to feed yourself cheaply when you live alone

It can be so frustrating and difficult to get used to living by yourself. Apparently cabinets don’t come magically stocked with spices and you have to buy things??? with money???? So here’s a few things I’ve learned along the way along with some links to other great posts that have information along this subject too.

If 1 and 2 are options then the rest of this post is worthless to you, if they are not options, keep reading.

Your first visit to the grocery store Buckle up because it’s going to be the most expensive one

You need to stock your kitchen since you are not a roach and can’t just eat the wooden cabinets. Every kitchen should have some combination of the “basics” which will be your non-perishable pantry items-those things that your parents house seemingly never runs out of.

The Basics

-Rice -Pasta (+any other grains you might like such as couscous, wheat berries etc.) -Flour -Sugar -Brown sugar (if you’re into baking like I am) -Baking Soda -Baking powder -Spices (for example, cumin, cayenne, oregano, basil, paprika, etc.) -Salt and pepper -Oats -Boullion or cans of stock -Cans of soup/packets of ramen -Coffee/tea

I suggest you buy these kinds of items in bulk if possible. If you have the space to store them, they will last you forever and items like these can make a meal that is supposed to be 1-2 servings into somethings thats 4-6 which I’ll explain later. Also, buying in bulk is cheaper per pound/100 grams (whatever system you’re using) so in the long run, you’ll save lots of money by buying one fat ass sack of rice a year instead of 15 every few weeks. Check your area for bulk stores, places that sell spices and grains by the weight. This will save you cash and can be more eco-friendly if you’re able to use your own bags/containers.

Tips for meals

It is so much cheaper to cook a larger amount of food at a time than making something for each individual meal. This is because for the most part, you can’t buy ingredients sufficient for one serving at the grocery store and you don’t want to buy something you’ll only use once and then the rest goes bad and bye-bye money. Making a meal that will last you 3-4 days is not only cheaper, but also saves time since after the initial cooking, all you have to do is reheat a little at a time later. You can take this a step further and use grains like rice, pasta and couscous to “cut” the food thereby doubling the amount of servings you have. Below are some really easy recipes that I use that last me days.

Things you can make at home for cheap

HUMMUS! Bc it’s a great snack, filling, healthy and is stupid expensive at the store and stupid cheap and easy to make.

-1 can of garbanzo beans -2 T of tahini (you can leave this out if you want, tahini can be expensive) -1 T lemon juice -1 clove of garlic, minced -Cumin, paprika, salt, pepper

Literally throw it all in a food processor and blend. If it’s too thick, you can add more olive oil or save some of the water from the beans and add that as well. If you do that, less salt will need to be added. If you use dried beans that you’ve soaked and shit you will need more salt.

If you don’t have a food processor, you can heat the beans up and smash it by hand, it’s more effort and it may be chunkier but it works. Same goes for immersion blenders.

Fun ways to shake this hummus up

-Roasted Red pepper: Chop 1/3 C of roasted red pepper and add. Replace some of the olive oil with some of the juice from the pepper jar.

-Roasted Garlic: Instead of mincing a garlic clove, expose the head of the garlic (lol) and rub with a little olive oil, making sure it gets into the cracks (lol). Wrap in foil and roast at 400 degrees (~200 C) for 30-35 minutes. Garlic should be nice and soft when it’s done. Roasted garlic is sweet instead of biting like raw garlic so using a whole head is okay and you won’t die when you eat it.

-Artichoke heart+black olive: Chop up one can of artichoke hearts with however many chopped black olives as you would like

-Pesto: Add in at least one tablespoon of pesto

Now the question is, how do I eat my hummus and the answer is, there’s actually a billion ways

-Put it on a sandwich or wrap! -Dip celery, cucumber, carrots, peppers in it! -Eat it with pretzels or tortilla chips OR if you’re a cheap bastard like me, make your own tortilla chips by cutting up some tortilla rounds, brushing them with olive oil, sprinkling them with salt and bake at 350 for 10ish minutes. I usually put mine into the oven right when I turn it on and pull them out when the oven is preheated bc I can’t be bothered to actually figure out a proper cooking time. Whatever, this is way cheaper than buying chips and they’re more filling. You can also make tortillas, it’s cheap and simple, I find they taste better, but it is slightly time consuming. Here’s a recipe. -Eat it with a spoon wgaf you live alone no judgement.

Coffee Creamer

Hell yes you can make this at home. The basic is about 1 3/4 cup of milk (whatever kind of milk, the more fat in the milk the creamier the creamer) and 14oz of sweetened condensed milk. You can also add in a few drops of any sort of extract/honey or some sprinkles of cinnamon/nutmeg whatever suits your fancy! Here is a bunch of variations. Also put 1/4 of a teaspoon of cinnamon per cup of coffee in with your coffee grounds in the filter for a cinnamon scented coffee.

Popcorn

Well, we all knew this one. But honest to god it is so much cheaper and healthier to pop popcorn using a bag of kernels than it is to buy a box of microwave popcorn. Just pour some oil and a tablespoon of butter into a large pan, add the popcorn and cook covered over medium heat. As soon as the kernels start to pop make sure you start jiggling the pan to keep them moving so they don’t burn and ruin your pan. I’m pretty sure you can put the kernels in a paper bag in the microwave too. Throw salt on it, or even cinnamon and sugar cuz why not.

RULES FOR GROCERY SHOPPING

1. buying in bulk saves

2. Don’t buy in bulk if you can’t use it all before it expires-like yeast! Most expiration dates are pretty generous and you can actually continue using the product beyond the date (this amount of time varies, please for your own safety please google it). Yeast is the only food I know of that is true to its expiration.

3. Avoid superstores when possible. Most of the time, you’re paying for the convenience. Superstores are often more expensive because you’re paying for the convenience of doing all your shopping in one place.

4. Ethnic markets are almost always cheaper-especially for trendy things like Coconut oil (so cheap at indian food markets!!) Find Chinese, Arabic, Indian, Mexican food markets around you and split up your shopping accordingly.

5. MAKE YOUR OWN BREAD, it can be very easy. Google it.

6. Off brand is just as good as the rest

7. Coupons, grab them in the front of the store if available

8. Just because something is a good deal doesn’t mean you have to buy it. I don’t care if orange juice is on sale, I don’t drink a lot of orange juice. You know what’s cheaper than something being 50% off? Not buying it at all. It costs $0.00 to be smart.

9. Don’t make grocery shopping a habitual thing. By that I mean don’t go grocery shopping every Sunday or whatever. Go grocery shopping when you need to go grocery shopping. If it’s been a week but you can wait 4 more days, wait 4 more days.

10. Don’t buy fresh herbs, grow them. A packet of seeds is cheap. Plastic pots are cheap. Potting soil can be cheap if you can find a place where you can buy by the weight instead of a massive bag. Plant the seeds according to the packet. Things like basil need to be watered often. Things like rosemary and thyme are okay chilling a couple of days without it. Read the packets and google it. Also it’s so rewarding to watch your little baby plants grow. An herb garden costs $10 dollars at the most to make. Fresh herbs at the grocery store cost $2-6 per package. Fresh herbs make meals taste a million times better I swear to god it’s the best thing you can do for yourself. Growing herbs also helped me with my depression so bonus.

11. If shopping at a super store, as much as possible stay out of the “middle”. What I mean is, things you buy should come from the sections closest to the wall-these include the produce, meat, dairy and frozen vegetables. All the processed foods are in the middle and though some can be cheap, they’re not filling and you end up buying them a lot. Doing things like making your own hummus can keep you out of the middle aisles and it’s healthier. Things from the middle you may need though are tea, ramen, grains, soup, peanut butter.

12. Plan your trip. Thoroughly look through your fridge and cabinets to see what you’re out of. I even keep a little white board on my fridge where I write what’s in the fridge and what’s run out. Write down what needs to be replaced/what you need for the next couple of meals. Do not stray from the list when shopping.

13. Go to Marshalls or Winners or whatever equivalent for things like olive oil, K cups if you have a Keurig (oh fancy fancy) and cool pink salt. They also have other kinds of oils like sunflower and avocado, and even sometimes protein powders. It’s way cheaper there and you can buy a liter sized bottle of olive oil for like 7 dollars when it would cost at least twice that at a grocery store.

14. Do not have the same grocery list every week. Prices of things change, your list should reflect that. If you’re wanting to get some sort of fruit for a snack, don’t get apples every week. Get whatever is in season. The prices of fresh produce in stores and markets will reflect what’s in season (i.e. the cheapest things). Lucky for us Bananas are always in season and are a super cheap snack that people forget about. I often wait until they’re ripe, cut them up and freeze them to make smoothies.

15. Don’t be afraid of tofu. It’s cheap as hell and once you learn how to prepare it, can be a fantastic substitute for animal proteins if meat/fish are too expensive.

16. Don’t forget, so many foods can be frozen. If something is crazy on sale, don’t be afraid to buy more than usual if you are able to freeze it. Here’s a list of things that can be frozen. TBH here, in Canada, I buy those big 3L bags of milk and store the little baggies in the freezer.

Finally, go to Goodwill stores and thrift shops to find kitchen appliances, dishes, and cookware for cheap! The best 7 dollars I ever spent was on a crock pot. These stores have so many items that last FOREVER, like a good pan, or a classic cafeteria. Don’t think you can’t cook because you can’t afford the equipment. Kitchen equipment doesn’t have to be a huge investment.

How are stand up pouches made?

A brief HISTORY

So what is a stand up pouch? Simply put, it’s bag/pouch that has the ability to stand on its own. The original stand up pouch design was actually patented in 1968. However, it wasn’t until the patent expired did the stand up pouch revolution begin. The stand up pouch design and construction have evolved over the years to include innovative design features like the reclosable zipper, convenient tear notches for easy opening, and some styles have a window for easy viewing. Today, the stand up bag is the go-to packaging choice for many well-known brands. Companies are using these airtight bags for candy packaging, coffee packaging, tea packaging, pet packaging, beauty product packaging, and more.

The CONSTRUCTION

A stand up pouch is made of multiple layers of barrier materials that have been laminated together to create one continuous sheet. The barrier materials and bag construction determine the durability and shelf life of your packaging. The chosen materials also determine the potential risk of bag punctures, leaks, and tears. Therefore, choosing a higher quality spout bag will ultimately mean fewer problems down the road. There are typically 2-3 layers in the construction of a stand up pouch. There is an outer layer, a middle layer, and an inner layer. Each layer provides a barrier of protection to protect and preserve the contents from environmental elements including moisture, UV light, oxygen, and external odors.

The OUTER Layer

The MIDDLE Layer

This middle layer can be made of different film materials, but most commonly used is either (AL) aluminum foil, (VMPET) a metalized film, (PET or PETE) polyethylene terephthalate.

(AL) Aluminum Foil – an aluminum foil layer barrier keeps your product fresh for approximately 20 months, compared to 13 months when metalized (VMPET) barrier film is used. Aluminum foil film has a much higher end appearance and offers better protection. Copious Bags® uses only aluminum foil to line our bags, never metalized.

(VMPET) – a metalized film often used in lower quality packaging. Although it does offer barrier protection, this cheaper material does not offer the long-term protection that aluminum foil does. This metalized film has a metallically appearance and is not very appealing to the customers when the bags are opened.(PET OR PETE) – a thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family that’s used in packaging for food and beverages, personal care products, and many other consumer products.

The INNER layer

The inner layer a stand up pouch is extremely important, especially when using them for food packaging. The inner lining is the material that comes into direct contact with your product. The most common material used for stand up pouches is (LLDPE) linear low-density polyethylene. This material is used widely throughout the packaging industry because it is FDA approved and is safe for direct contact with food.

My love for Sweet Coffee

I have never in my entire life thought I would come to love coffee, because back in the day the taste of coffee for me was bitter for a sweet tooth person such as myself. I would even wonder my cousins, classmates and friends enjoy coffee. Even when I was in college I never really crave for coffee, in fact whenever I go to Starbucks, I would always order Vanilla Frappuccino blended whip and I would even ask for some chocolate drizzles on top. Even in Seattle’s Best I will order the strawberry shake and that will be my dessert drink for the day. I prefer Quickly, Zagu, Fruitas and Big Chill, because I love sweet drinks and back in the day, I chug on 1-2 liters of coke every day.

I started drinking coffee when I first started working at Forest Lake Manila South located in Binan Laguna (one of our memorial park branches). I was still feeling a bit sleepy at that time and my brain was not functioning yet, so one of our security guards (I call him kuya dante) made me some coffee and he made it in such a way that I will like it… a very creamy and sweet coffee wherein I did not taste the bitterness of the coffee. I asked kuya dante how he made this coffee and next thing you know, every day I started to drink 3-4 cups of coffee every day for some reason coffee has this magic that makes it perfect to drink in the morning during breakfast. I can see why people would always have a cup of coffee first thing in the morning every day, because it wakes up your system. Maybe it is because of the caffeine and the sugar effects and when I had a migraine my doctor told me coffee helps relieve headaches/migraines and from then on, I became a coffee lover. I even enjoyed making my dad his morning coffee, because he and I have the same taste when it comes to coffee and it is the nice sweet creamy coffee.

Everywhere I go I will always buy coffee; my favorite coffee so far is a white chocolate mocha coffee or caramel macchiato with extra caramel drizzle (Starbucks, Seattle’s best, Coffee bean etc.), but for Tim Hortons it’s definitely the French Vanila hot pls. I even look forward to the holiday seasons because Starbucks will serve my 2nd favorite coffee which is the Toffee Nut Latte with extra toffee nut crunch on top and I prefer this one Frappuccino blended whip, because its much more sweater and creamier. The hot coffees are always the less sweet ones than the Frappuccino, but it also helps wake up your system even more when it is hot. I would even take a lot of coffee pics for Instagram purposes and would even try to make one at home, because its much cheaper rather than buying your coffee at the store and you get to enjoy making it. Last year, my cousin bought me this beautiful blue Keurig coffee maker from the US with 60 of those Café Bustelo sweet creamy con leche Keurig pods and it only lasted for 1 month lol. Sadly, the Keurig coffee pods are extremely expensive here in the Philippines, which is I had to buy the Starbucks 40 Keurig pods at 70% discount. The reason I got them at a good deal because they were about to expire by December 31, 2020. Believe it or not they were all consumed before December 31, 2020, because at home I am not the only coffee lover. My aunt and cousins love coffee and so I have a lot to share of my coffee and we all enjoyed it.

I also bought a white chocolate mocha powder (Café de Vita), a white chocolate syrup and even bought in Lazada the P46 electric whisk to make that sweet foamy milk to put on top of my coffee and the taste was heaven for me. I even tried the coffee Dalgona challenge from tiktok as well as the Dalgona Matcha tea, which is quite more difficult, because I ended up making homemade Matcha ice cream lol which explains the sudden weight gains during quarantine. Cutie Reviews: Tokyo Treat Jan 19

“We said burr, it’s cold in here and there’s some delicious snacks in the atmosphere! We got our cheer set to celebrate the upcoming New Year and winter season. To help set the mood for the upcoming year, we decided to help spread some happiness with a fun Winter Wonderland themed snack box! Parade Milkshake & Nerunerune DIY

As usual, I will be covering the DIY in a separate post; but for anyone unfamiliar, Nerunerune is one of the most popular and well-loved DIY candy kits one can find online or in Japan. It has come in many variations and has evolved over the years, and in this box we could get one of the most simpler kits they have released, featuring a fluffy whip-like candy fluff with candies.

Our main feature in this pic is the drink, the Parade Milkshake. This drink contains egg and milk, and is meant to emulate an actual milkshake, but with a thin milk consistency. Each can is only 47kcal.

Because it’s been in the fridge, the can has been extremely cold- it’s perfect for summer! The flavor sort of makes me think of winter (and pudding, and McDonalds ice cream)... but at the same time, I think it would have been “too chilly“ to really enjoy during winter. Unless you enjoy being cold, which I do.

It tastes really good, I was kind of surprised because I wasn’t really sure what to expect. I’m pretty sure I mentioned this before, but lately I haven’t been into pudding due to an “incident“ where I got sick for a week, and I’m not into milk either; but I really liked this. It didn’t bother my “milk sensitivity“ either.

Cotton Candy

This is probably the one item in the box that actually did give me “winter vibes“. You get that too right? But it also fits summer too since you see it a lot during summer at fairs and festivals.

Anyway, we have some kawaii cotton candy as our next item :3 Now, according to the package it did expire back in April, but it seemed fine. This bag of cotton candy is 46kcal.

I LOVE cotton candy~ But I’m pretty partial, I prefer it have some flavor other than just sugar. That and it’s white color just made me feel bored. Another hindrance is that like any other cotton candy, once opened it begins to harden to the point of being inedible- so you need to keep it closed up tight.

Meanwhile, the package is absolutely adorable~

Custard Chocolate Bar & Balanced Nutrition Chocolate Brownie Bar

Anyone whose been a reader of this blog will probably recognize both of these items/brands. But lets remain optimistic :P

Our first item is a Gudetama themed chocolate bar featuring a chocolate and custard flavoring. The bar consists of two tin wafers with layers of chocolate cream between them, a white layer on the top wafer, followed by the custard layer, giving the chocolate. Each bar is 115kcal.

I’ve been pretty tired of these since they always seem to be the same to me, but I didn’t really mind this one very much. It was actually pretty good, but that might have just been because the regular chocolate flavor overwhelmed the entire thing.

Our next item is the Kinosei (health snack) of the month, a chocolate brownie bar from Glico. This nutritional bar is packed with various vitamins and minerals to keep one feeling energized throughout the day.

Each bar is 98kcal.

It was okay, nothing too special to me. It did remind me a lot of a brownie, but had an off-putting after taste I wasn’t very fond of. I also can’t guarantee the whole “energizing“ thing works since I ate it in pieces and I finished it now, half-asleep.

Lucky Taiyaki Snack & Giant Chocolate Bar

If you didn’t realize it yet, this box was filled with chocolate. Not necessarily a bad move or anything- but (as much as I dislike it) maybe they should have done white chocolate to fit the season more?

Our next item is a Taiyaki, which again you’ve probably seen on this blog numerous times. For anyone unfamiliar, taiyaki is a fish-shaped cookie or pancake-like dough snack filled with chocolate, fruit, cream, or red beans. These specific snack ones are filled with airy, bubbled chocolate to give it a very light and crispy texture that melts in your mouth.

The brand who made this one is Meito, and each fish is 88kcal.

I love eating these, it’s a 10 out of 10 delicious would recommend snack. It has a light sweetness to it and the chocolate taste lingers in your mouth for a little while after eating.

Our next item is this very impressively size chocolate “puff bar“. It contains peanuts and is coated in both them and chocolate, so it’s not a snack for anyone with peanut allergies- I hate peanuts so I wasn’t too sure how I would feel about it personally.

The entire bar is 162kcal.

It’s actually not terrible. I love the crispiness and the chocolate is there, but it has a strong bitterness that I suspect might be peanut, and I can’t say I like it too much- but it’s not bad? But eating a segment of it was enough for me, and I found myself giving it to someone else.

Strawberry Tiramisu Kit Kats & Crunchy Panda Cookies

At this point we are now reaching the last of the chocolate products for this box. First up we have another party pack bag of Panda Cookies :3 I love these, they’re super-cute and they taste good. For anyone who may not recognize these, these are chocolate molded into various panda expressions (70 in total!), with a “panda-esque“ cookie behind the chocolate, giving it a crunchy and sweet taste.

These are by Kabaya and are pretty common to find online. They even have DIY kits (which I did try before, it was pretty fun). The party bag consists of 6 packs, each featured various designs, puzzles, or comics. They also support protecting panda bears from endangerment.

I’d like to say I was biased because I love panda bears, but they do taste really good too. You get crunchiness from the cookie, and the chocolate tastes like both milk and white chocolate. Again I’d recommend these.

Our other item (also a party bag) is the special strawberry tiramisu kit kat. This flavor is special as the #1 voted Want To Try Flavor worldwide to celebrate kit kats 45th anniversary.

Each pack is 64kcal, and features the sweet and sour flavors of a strawberry with a light, smooth coffee mixed in.

First of all I’d like to say that as “charming“ as its meant to be, I kinda find the art on this pack to be repulsive. I don’t know why, it just looks so weird and goofy to me. I wish they had gone for something more... food-ish, to bring out the appeal of the flavors.

It looks like a white chocolate, but it tastes strongly of strawberries, so I love the flavor. But you just barely get the “smooth coffee“ flavor it describes, so I wouldn’t call it 100% accurate.

Savory Wheat Crackers & Cheese Umaibo

Now, onto the savories; there was surprisingly a handful of them. I say surprisingly because this is the second month in a row where the box had a balance of sweet and savory (not counting the drink or DIY), I really wish they kept this trend up.

Anyway, we have a pack of 2 wheat “crackers“, featuring salt and natural oils from Okinawa to give them a savory salt taste. The “Snack Menu” in the pamphlet says the bunny’s image plays a part in their “winter” theme. But to me the flowers automatically give me summer vibes. Again.

What makes this snack concerning is that for just 2 of these, it’s 405kcal.

I’ve never been huge on wheat, but I grew up on it whenever I was at my grandmas so I got used to it. But these don’t even taste like wheat. They’re crunchy and salty, and kind of remind me a bit of a cone.

I like these, but the huge calorie count is a big turn-off. Only because I think for such a high count, you’re better off eating something filling; these aren’t enough to get someone through the day until their next meal, unless they eat really small portions normally.

The next item I won’t be reviewing because I’ve gotten it several times, and have reviewed it several times. I’ll make this short :P I’ve never been a big fan of the cheese umaibo, but I find the more I eat it the better it tastes oddly enough. It didn’t exactly taste like cheese to me when I tried it, but now I can say it actually does.

Salty Seaweed Puffs & Shrimp Sticks

The coloring for these two items actually look very different in person. First will be the Seaweed Puffs, made from salt and rice with a sprinkling of seaweed flakes to blend the flavors together.

The flavor is pretty light, I can’t say the salt taste is stronger than that in the wheat crackers. I was kind of disappointed that the seaweed flavor was really light too. They’re not bad though, the texture is pretty nice, but they are already kind of stale and it makes their appeal even... lesser.

Our other item is the share pack Shrimp Sticks by Calbee. These we’ve gotten before so I don’t think I’ll be rating them again; but I will say that each bag is 31kcal, and because of their small size you get a decent amount of them per-serving. I actually like these because the fishy taste is light, and I enjoy the crispy texture.

Black Pepper Chips

Our final item are these pepper-flavored chips by Koikeya, a popular chip brand known for coming up with some unique flavors. We’ve seen it a few times in Tokyo Treat, but this is a new flavor to grace our presence.

Each bag is 283kcal.

Seeing these, I was very excited to try them because when I was younger, I loved eating pepper chips (or salt and pepper chips, I don’t remember), and I really like pepper sauce, which the scent of these strongly reminded me of.

While they smell of pepper, they taste strongly of it too :D and instantly kick in the spice as you eat them. Strangely, I get a “jerky“ taste too from these, but I love jerky so I’m not complaining at all. The chips are crunchy and delicious~

Content - 4.5 out of 5. There was only one item I wasn’t very fond of, but I didn’t find it unbearable and could tolerate eating it. The drink was good, I love the DIY kit we got and am excited to make it next. There was some repetition in this box though...

Theme - 2 out of 5. I’m probably giving it pity points honestly, I feel bad in saying this but I can barely see the theme they were going for. A lot of it oddly gave me summer vibes- but it’s entirely possible that I’m feeling it because it is summer now...

Total Rank: 7 out of 10. The items were tasty but there wasn’t too much special about the box because I was used to so much of it already, I also kind of wished they had toned down the chocolate or given us something fruity- besides the DIY. I also failed to see the theme, which I feel a bit disappointed about. I’m really hoping next months box isn’t too chocolate oriented (and again I am a chocolate addict, so that’s really saying something), but considering its the Valentines Day box...

1. Pepper Chips - they smelled delicious and tasted even better! Extremely would recommend!

2. Strawberry Tiramisu kit kats - It might not contain both flavors described (at least to me) but I LOVE the strong, overwhelming strawberry taste~

3. Cheese Umaibo - Every time I eat this, I end up liking it more than last time. The first time I tried it I didn’t like it at all, and now I kind of enjoy it :P if you’re like me I’d suggest giving it a few tries and see if your opinion changes like mine did.

4. Panda Cookies - As much as I like these... a small part of me is kind of tired of them. Granted it has been some time since I last had them, but...

5. Taiyaki Snack - I love the crispy texture mixed with the melty chocolate~

6. Milkshake Drink - Going in, I wasn’t sure what to expect other than some kind of malty drink; but it wasn’t like that at all. It had a really strong vanilla-pudding-ice cream taste

7. Cotton Candy - I really like cotton candy but I’m not into the plain sugar variant. I prefer flavor.

8. Gudetama Bar - Oddly the flavor was pretty good this time, usually I’m not too crazy about these bars. Maybe it’s growing on me.

9. Wheat Crackers - I liked these more than I thought I would, but they were still kind of boring in comparison to everything else.

10. Shrimp Sticks - I’m not huge on seafood (unless it’s sushi) but these are pretty good. As much as I complain about light flavors, I think here it works for the snack.

11. Brownie Bar - It was okay, I didn’t really have too much of an opinion...

12. Seaweed Puffs - I was really disappointed these didn’t have a stronger flavor.

13. Chocolate Puff Bar - It wasn’t bad, but as I said, I’m not big on peanuts and I really didn’t find myself wanting more after a few bites.
