smookie that’s SUCH a hard question 😫 I’ve literally never thought abt it hmm … genuinely i think he’s the sort of freak that actually doesn’t listen to much music. like if he was cooking/farming, he’d whistle, but his whistling would be nonsensical and very annoying 😀 and he’s not a big dancer, but he DOES think it’s fun as fuck and when he dances it’s extremely strange and off putting. like this:

he has VERY little rhythm and he can’t sing a correct note for the life of him. but he does practice singing when he’s bored, and since he wants an audience (and shane refuses to listen) he’ll sing in front of his cows 🐄 like a whole hearted attempt at opera in the barn.

i haven’t thought abt it deeply but if i had to pick music that matches him im feeling like. Elton John Honky Cat. or like ABBA. so pop rock 😋

your style is very sweet looking and identifiable! i was wondering what inspires you? the poses and whatnot you draw for your doodles (particularly for the few recent sky cotl doodles ive seen you post on that blog) are very nice. idk how to word it! i just wanna know from where you draw your inspirations ☺️

I wanted to give this question some thought, because I really do love doing fun poses with my characters

Maybe it’s kinda weird, but when I think about posing characters, I think about dolls, and my lifelong obsession with super articulated dolls (bjd and the like). Obviously doll articulation is a lot better nowadays, but back then it was barbies with stiff legs and a bent arm, I’d get so excited if they could move their limbs in more ways than the usual. I’m not sure why. Maybe it was kind of a stim for me, but even imagining dolls with articulation makes me quite happy and always has. The poseability and hold-ability is very important to me.

How this translates to art is, my younger siblings and I werent really… allowed to do anything but draw and stay in the kitchen, especially as we got older. So naturally our dolls became words we could say, and most of all it was art we could make. In a way, my personal art has always been playing, so it makes sense that my love of articulation would translate over to my ocs

I used to write a lot of comics for us and we’d all animate stories into silly long gifs. It wasnt ever a question of if we could or if it was skillful, that was just how we played. It just came naturally and without much doubt, our skills built up over uhhh all our lives. (Not saying it was great, but it wasnt even a question of quality)

So I guess my inspiration is my inner child(ren), and I’m really happy that I have the skillsets that makes it so easy to make them happy.

I do commissions for a living too, and with every piece I can’t help but think that the commissioner probably wants the most of their character shown off as possible, so I need to pose in a pleasing way that struts their stuff. That has to get creative when you’ve done probably 500+ commissions =v=;

TLDR: i want to hold my characters like dolls and play with them, the end

it was basically a summer fling with ur childhood bff haechan and just being able to take a break and enjoy the small break u have with haechan

what i posted was the ending where they end up together after working and talking things out (reader could’ve gotten too comfortable, haechan would’ve thought that there was no real feelings) and they date even if they know they won’t see each other in a month

what i wanted posted with the real fic was a sadder ending where they wouldn’t date because the reader thought it would’ve hurt to be with haechan and not see him, so they break things off before the summer ends and everything is right back to where it started

i posted the sweet version bc i really like how it felt (and bc i wanted haechan like crazy last night) but obvs it’s not summer anymore and idk how people would’ve felt abt how i wanted it to end BUTTTT maybe one day it’ll come back

Really just an incredible story. Shows exactly why Squall is the best, deadliest and most revered SeeD. Not just in physical power but because he can strategize with intense accuracy. And Rinoa’s coming into her sorcery, the Timber Owl’s growing up and growing a pair, the final battle, the steamy love scenes and SeeDs kicking major major ass... it’s got everything. Fuck I’m a happy fangirl.

So! This piece was fun! The sketch was giving me fits. I couldn’t get the perspective right until I started in with a glow brush to show my teenage artist daughter different light source examples, and wa-LA... I put a glowy line on the back of Squall’s big ass head of hair and perspective just pushed into place. Yay.
