Bi-Han rolled a -100 for intelligence in that scene when he outright told Kuai he let their dad die.
Bi-Han underestimated Kuai's loyalty to him because he must've really thought bragging how cool it was he let their dad die was gonna make his brother revere him. It's surprising given Kuai made it clear he loved their dad and Bi-Han somehow thought admitting he let him die would make his loyalty to him absolute.
I don’t think Bi-Han telling Kuai Liang the truth about their father’s death has anything to do with intelligence or desire to brag.
For me, that scene was Bi-Han’s frustration at its breaking point - the story mode did not present us much of Lin Kuei brothers interaction but even within the limited space it showed that Bi-Han couldn't do anything, not even just complain for waiting who knows how long without Tomas and Kuai Liang constantly talking about their Father and what the man would want from them. And yes, complaining may be inappropriate, even childish for Grandmaster to do, but for all we know Bi-Han just wanted to vent in frustration to his brothers in the privacy only to be frustrated even more by them bringing father into discussion.
And this pattern is repeated during their mission. Whatever Bi-Han will say, be it a remark about glory (a trivial detail) or wish for breaking from the past, Tomas and Kuai Liang will again and again either bring up tradition or talk about what their father would do.
Sub-Zero let their father die for what he thought was Lin Kuei’s best interest and in theory he should be finally free from the man’s influences. Including man’s teaching Bi-Han considered part of the reason why Lin Kuei was shackled and bound to unfair servitude.
Instead, even more than before everything revolved around the dead man to the point Sub-Zero outright asked if their father’s ghost possessed Kuai Liang (and Tomas?).

Because apparently his brothers didn’t have anything on their own to add into discussion - and frankly, they did not provide any real counterargument why Lin Kuei should stick to the centuries-old servitude to Earthrealm that didn’t come down to “tradition” and “father said so” - two things that Bi-Han already was in process or rejecting.
And then, when Bi-Han finally made his mind about allying with Shang Tsung what Kuai Liang did? Of course he talked about father

and I think this was the one too many mentions of father, the proverbial last straw that broke the camel's back. Telling the truth was not part of any great scheme, it wasn’t even about Kuai Liang itself, but it was a moment of catharsis for Bi-Han alone. 
We don’t have an idea when the previous Grandmaster died - Bi-Han could lie to his brothers about that accident for days, weeks, months or even years. The act of letting father die and lying about that burdened him, maybe even trapped more than he was before and Shang Tsung’s offer provided him both an occasion to cut off Lin Kuei ties with Liu Kang and finally to admit what he had done. The catharsis though doesn’t come from the act of admitting committed crime, because Bi-Han had no regrets about that at this point, but because he was so done with lying for Kuai Liang’s comfort and peace of mind...

...all so his younger brother could be safely tucked in his delusion about Lin Kuei’s honorable traditions; that Bi-Han if not loved then at least missed and grieved after their father as he and Tomas did; that they all were the happy family - still family - when Bi-Han’s wish for change overshadowed his sentiments for parent long ago.
I think that scene is just the breaking point of Bi-Han’s frustration - a frustration we were both told by Scorpion (“I knew Bi-Han's frustrations ran deep. But I never thought they could inspire such madness”) and showed in interaction between brothers preceding Sub-Zero’s betrayal. I doubt Bi-Han even planned to tell Kuai Liang truth, especially at this moment, but my guess is he just couldn’t take anymore hearing only father this, father that, again and again and again. Every person has a breaking point and I suspect the last Scorpion’s remark about father and how he would turn in his grave - especially this one about his death - is what made Bi-Han to spill out the truth straight into Kuai Liang’s face, cutting deep with the remark I lied because you couldn’t and still can see the truth.
It was no planned and probably the most sincere Bi-Han’s moment, because finally he was speaking his mind bluntly, finally escaping the trap of a lie he told Kuai Liang and Tomas to spare them from the brutal truth, but a trap that turned against him, because his brothers holded even more stubbornly to tradition and father’s teaching. Only unconsciously increasing Bi-Han’s frustration. 
Did Bi-Han believe that Kuai Liang and Tomas would support his claims? It sounds like a foolish assumption on his part, but I guess he still wanted his brothers on his side (even if the man has a problem with communicating that, I think?). Definitely wanted them more than he cared for father. And well, if Kuai Liang did not bring father in that moment, who knows, maybe Bi-Han would kept the lie alive for much longer?

So, I don't know if any of you heard, but Sam and Colby put out a video the other day that they have been hyping up for weeks as being one that will "change the world."
And I have thoughts about that.
Now, I want to preface this with two things:
Opinions are not law. My opinion is not going to now become the de facto/definitive version of events for all of time. I'm just one dope on the internet, out of gazillions. Keep that in mind, please.
Sam and Colby are NOT on tumblr, so they will not see my opinion. Even if they were, however, they did ask for any and all opinions, theories, and possible ways to debunk what happened, so nothing I say in this is shitting in the face of their entire lives and careers.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is this- I am not trying to tear them down, shit all over them, ruin their lives, or whatever. I am one person, with one opinion- and spoiler alert: my opinion is favorable. I really did thoroughly enjoy this episode. I am very happy for them and how everything turned out. I rated it an 8/10. That's really high praise, coming from me.
My opinion just isn't exactly what 99% of the shall we call them "dedicated" fanbase is saying right now.
And that is OKAY.
Now, with all my disclaimers and legal notices out of the way, the rest of this op-ed will be behind a cut for safe keeping:
Before I get into the meat of this whole video, I want to spend some time talking about the stuff that nobody is talking about: the first 20 minutes.
First of all, can I tell you that I have never been so happy and relieved in my life that these two spent the first day there alone? I'm going to be very honest with you- one of my biggest issues with this series heading into it, was that they brought on all these people that I do not care about (no offense to the people in question) to take part in this whole thing, and I just. don't. care. anymore.
I hate these collabs. I hate them all. Even if the person winds up being nice, like Niki- I'm fucking sick of it. So so so sick of it. I don't know these people, I don't have any loyalty to them, I think 99% of them do not take this seriously and act like fools and have childish potty humor and it's been getting me to the point where I have barely made it through some of their most recent videos.
So, seeing it be only Sam and Colby...ah, what a sigh of relief.
Seeing them together without all the yelling streamers (read my opening statements if this offends) just reminds me of how great they are together when it's just the two of them with no outside influence. They really sell themselves short- they are, and can very much continue to be, the star attraction. They would do well to remember that.
Anyway, early on in this video, something kind of interesting happens that is, as per their normal MO when this happens, never really brought up again (at least in this episode)- they go upstairs and Colby very casually announces that this one particular room makes him physically ill every time he enters it.
Now, anyone who's been on my blog long enough knows that one of my biggest pet peeves about snc is that they never let Colby and his literal gut instinct cook long enough. The man has, at the very bare minimum, a great instinct for sussing out the energy and vibe of a room but they never let him fucking sit there and do it. It drives me absolutely freaking nuts.
So, this is something that I'm highlighting because I hope they get more into it in a future episode...but the thing about Colby is, as soon as all the others show up, he'll just sit in the back and let the others pretend they're psychics the whole time and never mention this again...so I do not have high hopes.
Now, they come downstairs and Colby starts declaring the dining room as a safe area for him, only to turn around and be faced with his mortal nemesis...a cheap reproduction of Robert the Doll. This brings me to my next sub-topic:
Enough with the Fucking Doll.
No seriously. Stop. Stop with the cancer conspiracy, stop apologizing to the damn doll in the youtube comments- do you really think a 150 year old doll is signing onto youtube every morning to read 10k "I'm sorry for looking at you without your permission" comments? Who has time for that? Not even an immortal doll with cancer giving powers has time for that.
They sell this thing on their website. I watched Ozzy Osbourne blow the replica up with fireworks one time. Look how he turned out (ok, maybe bad example, I don't know).
Anyway...omg, the comments. The comments are so tiring and old. Stop please.
The other thing that happened early on that I want to touch on briefly is the echoing of Colby's voice. I'll get into this a little more later, cause it's one of the things that caused me to be very wary of events that happened later, but...while weird that it only echoed on Colby, I do think there's a few different avenues of logical explanation for that, so I'm not going to chalk it up to the paranormal. It could've been an audio malfunction from Colby leaning in and yelling so loudly, or it could've been...well, I'll explain what else it could've been when I get to the rest of this trip. Stay tuned.
A couple of funny/random things from the first 20 minutes that I want to highlight:
Sam just really really really needs Colby to share a bed with him, ok.
Colby- the man who was chugging Diet Pepsi (not even real Pepsi, wtf) on a 9am livestream after only getting home and eating SUBWAY at 3am the night before: "Imagine if all we drank was Pepsi lolz"
Colby manipulating Sam into staying in the basement by pointing out that Sam has to one-up Colby...that's masterclass. That's psychology 101. That just proves that Colby is the baby brother (or girlfriend, as Kris had indicated in her podcast) in this partnership. Sam's staying in that basement lol.
Apparently, The Boys are the ones who put the money down Raggedy Andy's shirt.
Colby's proud smile after explaining how the Perrin girl "flew through the air like a frisbee"...
This whole thing with the challenges- I will reserve judgement until I see how it plays out, but I don't think it's strictly necessary.
Alright, that's enough of that. Let's get into the elephant in the room for this episode: what the fuck is this alphabet game, and is it real?
Now, before I get into the method being used, I need to set the tone here by explaining the vibe I got from the new owner of the house, as well as Satori and Cody.
This is important, because I think it shaded my opinion on this whole thing way more than I would've liked it to, but that's the problem with vibes sometimes...they just take over.
I have never seen or heard of the new owner before in my life. I know who Cody is a little bit, because the Conjuring House has a TIKTOK ACCOUNT NOW (because why wouldn't it) and I know Satori is Jason Hawes' daughter, but that's about it. So, I did not go into this with any real preconceived notions.
But, within 10 seconds of meeting the new owner, I didn't vibe with her at all.
The vibe I got was somebody that is really pushing to turn this house into a money pit tourist attraction. I mean, they have a tiktok account now. They have a campground. It's an air bnb. And she just had that "hey, I need to make my money back on this investment somehow" vibe to her. I have a feeling that, as time goes on with this house, the truth behind some of the legends such as Bathsheeba will start to disappear so that the owner of the house can push the agenda that the movie had started pushing.
Witch babies and demonic possessions sell much better than "hey the town unfairly villainized this woman cause they didn't understand her, and the Warrens were crooks who preyed on a terrified family," after all.
So, I'm already going into this with a healthy distrust of the establishment, ok? And then Satori and Cody take hands and start...running through the alphabet?
And to be honest, my initial reaction was "now what the fuck."
I mean, I have a million questions. How the hell did they even discover this in the first place? And what ghost has time to sit there and play along with this? Like, from the ghost perspective, if the guy down the street has a much easier method for communication than making my ghost ass stand around and play morse code foot stomping games, I'm keeping it moving lol.
But yea, I was immediately skeptical. This is just so easy to fake. And there is, by the way, precedent for faking this kind of stuff. Lots of precedent. And actually, there was a precedent for this very method being debunked back in the 1800's. There was a group of sisters known as the Fox Sisters who populated a very similiar method back in the 1800s. They were eventually exposed as frauds when they admitted that they snapped their joints to replicate the tapping sounds.
Now, again- I was already skeptical of the owner of the house. I had started to become skeptical of Satori and Cody when Colby went to them to ask about the echo of his voice and they gave the most guilty sounding "no" ever on record when he asked if they had any audio recording in the house (because my bet on that is that they were watching him and Sam on cctv and didn't realize the sound would also pipe through, hence the echo that stopped a second later).
So, I'm already skeptical, and then they start employing this method that was debunked back in 1850 and you can imagine where my skepticism went from there.
Now, I want everyone to understand this- I do not believe Sam and Colby were faking any of this. Sam's reaction to hearing his grandma's name is a very genuine response to having someone tell you that they are communicating with a loved one that you thought you would never speak to on this earth again. I've been there, I know what that feeling is. You cannot replicate it.
And they were doing their level best to try and debunk the footsteps and knocking noises being heard throughout this entire thing, and I applaud them for being open and upfront about that to everyone in the room.
I also want to state, for the record, that I do believe in spiritualism in some form, and in the paranormal in some form. I am not a skeptic.
I do, however, know there are a lot of people out there who will use people's emotions against them and fake things like this for attention, clout, money, etc. It happens. So, skepticism in this situation is not unfounded.
Also, something else I'd like to point out- all of the information provided about the people they contacted is readily available and easy to find online. Sam has spoken about his grandmother several times over the years and her nickname, Libby, was in her obituary, which is accessible online. Sam's siblings' names are public knowledge. I, as a somewhat casual fan, have actually known about and have even seen a picture of Frank Brock before this episode aired.
This stuff is out there. It's searchable. It's not hard to find. Even Zach Bell, their producer- give me 10 minutes and I'm sure I could find some information on him, public figure or not. I would never do that, cause I'm not a creep- but someone could.
So...all of that is what is running through my head while this is going on. While I found it interesting, and truly do hope that nobody would be cruel enough to use someone like a beloved grandparent against someone in that manner, it does have to be said that there are just so, so many easy avenues for faking this. I was interested, intrigued, but not 100% on board with it being real.
For Sam's sake, and for Colby's parents' sakes, I hope all of this is true and not some kind of scam to schill tickets to go stay at the Conjuring House. And that's where I'm going to leave that.
Now, a few other things I found either interesting or funny that I would like to point out about Sam and Colby's paranormal ancestry.com journey here, before we move on:
Colby did not know Frank Brock, but then a minute later was like, "Oh yea, I did ancestry.com and I know Frank Brock!" Is he ok? Should we send him to get his cognitive memory ability tested?
Colby's whole entire family coming through and asking him to pass messages along to everyone else...kind of sweet, kind of sad. I wonder who in his lineage is watching out for him, and not Lesa and Layne and Bob and whoever else.
But hey, happy for him that he now has something to bring up at the family Christmas party lol.
Ok, so if anyone is still here reading this- cause damn is this thing long- I just want to really quickly wrap this up by touching on their later attempts to debunk this whole thing. Again, I applaud them for trying, and that really did go a long way to help a lot of people, and make them look more credible in everyone's eyes. I give them all the kudos in the world for that.
I don't love that they outed that random private citizen teacher lady's private info all over the internet, but guess what? When I google her, the first thing that comes up is an article talking about her death in connection to the Conjuring House so...take that how you will.
Anyway, I truly, truly hope, for their sake and their families, that this is real and not a scam being conducted by the people running that house. I will be brokenhearted for them if it is.
Now, my final thoughts on the matter: do I think this was a fantastic video? Yes, actually, I was quite pleasantly surprised. I was getting to the point of not wanting to watch it because of all the over-hyping they were doing, but I'm glad I did watch this, because it was really well put together, very interesting and intriguing, and definitely makes a mark.
Do I think it was life changing? No. To them, it was, but this method has been around in some way, shape or form for a long time, Satori and Cody have apparently done it on Ghost Hunters before, and talking to psychics to communicate with the other side has been a well documented phenomenon since dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Nonetheless, it was a fantastic start, and I do hope this momentum keeps up when the screaming streamers come to town.

Okay. Bit more explanation as to my thoughts on the horned man being a god.
Quick little side note is that this theory is hinged on the idea that there were four gods of Remnant, as everything in this show comes in fours, and that Light and Darkness got rid of the other two for some unknown reason. There is a secondary bit of this theory that theorizes that these two missing gods are faunus, which lines up with The Shallow Sea and The Judgement of the Faunus from Fairytales of Remnant. I am not the creator of this theory and I unfortunately don’t know who started it.
TLDR - the horned person from the trailer might be a banished god of Remnant, and might be the god of Choice or Knowledge.
If there are, in fact, four gods of Remnant, and they do line up with the four relics, that would theoretically make Light and Darkness, respectively, Creation and Destruction, leaving Choice and Knowledge.
“But Crow,” you say, “wouldn’t it be more thematically appropriate - if this guy is a god - for him to be Destruction? Because Ever After seems like a place that’s run by chaos, and chaos is usually linked to destruction in opposition of order (or the creation of rules and laws).
And I would say yes. Operative word being “would.” But Darkness destroyed the fucking moon and is somewhat linked to death in the old world before Remnant, with Light being the equivalent of Life. So yeah. Creation and Destruction.
Which leaves our weird little freak, if he is a god of Remnant, to be either Choice or Knowledge.
“But Crow,” you say, “that doesn’t make any sense.”
It does if you consider them in the extreme.
If he is Choice, it would make sense that the people of the Ever After can do whatever they want - and that applies to the physics of this world as well, which is why everything looks so balls to the wall insane. Or, considering how he looks a bit sinister (and we know the gods to be assholes) it could be the absence of Choice. No one is allowed to do anything that upsets him, and the world reflects whatever he wants. @cinnakincat and I recently discussed the actions of Light and Darkness, and she likened them bringing Ozma back and killing him again and repeating that cycle of tug of war (and Darkness only becoming angry when he realized that Salem had gone to Light first) as two children fighting over a toy and doing things just to spite their sibling. If this new god is anything like that, childish, the lawlessness of Ever After could be his own choice, but he throws a tantrum whenever he thinks someone threatens those choices he makes.
On the opposite side of the argument, although less plausible, we have Knowledge. This might be a bit more abstract, but I propose the idea that either the entire Ever After is gifted with wisdom, something like Jinn not not as powerful. These creatures are content with the Knowledge they have and the world constructed around this Knowledge looks abstract to everyone else (sounding like nonsense) but makes perfect sense to them. This could be backed by everyone asking Ruby “what” she is, meant more in the philosophical context and not the physical sense. Or, everyone could actually be speaking absolute nonsense and have a lack of Knowledge, kept ignorant by their god because he wishes to hold his intellect over them.
I think Choice would be more likely.

Kai/Y'Shtola (friendos) - Kai could figure out how to BLM, but I think she'd grow impatient with the study and specificity. Y'shtola would probably find SMN fascinating in theory, but having not defeated a primal would have little practical use for it.
Kai/Zenos - Zenos would prob find a way to SMN because of his Resonant ability, but it'd be weird and fucked up uwu. Kai could RPR, probably even be good at it (brainworms where she somehow gets Zenos as her void summon after he dies)
Yuki/Sidurgu - Yuki is DRK in canon so she's good 👍🏼 but Sid would be an absolutely abysmal WHM. Like hilariously bad at it. Rielle and Yuki would give him tips and he'd probably end up throwing a tantrum

Do you ever wonder if Disney's hook has mommy issues? I mean hook went his whole life thinking his mom wouldn't be proud of him unless he was an epic pirate treasure hunter until his mom clarified she would've been proud not matter what he did. At least that's what I got from the Jake and the neverland pirates section of hooks wiki. Its a bit sus if ya ask me. (Im not saying mama hook is evil btw)
Oh, Hook absolutely has mommy issues. (So does Peter, for that matter.) Many versions of Hook touch on this at one point or another. For example, in the novel, when Hook is explaining to Smee what a mother is using the Neverbird and her eggs as an example, he seems on the verge of breaking. You get the impression that his voice is probably cracking as he speaks and there is a deep sadness there. Maybe he didn’t have much in the way of a mother figure. Maybe his mother wasn’t a good one. Or maybe she was great and he is mourning the fact that she isn’t alive anymore. We don’t know and Barrie never tells us. But there’s definitely something there. Especially given that the pirates seem to want to make Wendy their mother almost as much as the Lost Boys do. In Fox’s Peter Pan and the Pirates we learn that that version of Hook has a portrait of his mother (who he seems to care for very much) in his cabin. However, it remains covered at all times because apparently she’s very unattractive. (The audience never sees what exactly she looks like, but other characters react with gasps.) Hook is incredibly defensive of his mother’s portrait and she seems to be one of very few things that can bring out a moment of softness in him.
In all likelihood, Hook and Pan both have mommy issues because Barrie himself had some mommy issues. When his brother David passed away as a child due to an ice-skating accident, Barrie’s mother mourned him deeply to the point where Barrie would dress up in his brother’s clothes and pretend to BE his brother just to see his mother smile. Barrie himself wasn’t enough to rouse her from her depression. He had to take on his brother’s persona.
Disney’s Hook—particularly the Jake-verse which explores Hook’s personality pretty well for a kids’ show—seems to have some serious self-esteem issues and comes off as bully to make up for the fact that he feels far less confident than he actually is. Perhaps one might speculate he underwent something like Barrie did as a child and felt like he couldn’t live up to the perfect vision his mother had of another child who passed away. Mama Hook in the series seems to be a good person but a bit overbearing. That might have something to do with his self-esteem issues as well. Personally, I have a theory that Hook is very attached to his mother because he did NOT have a good relationship with his father (who we never meet). It is well known in psychology that experiencing long-term abuse as a child can severely impede one’s emotional development…and while I love Hook, there’s no denying that he can be emotionally very childish sometimes. Additionally, an absent parent can lead to abandonment issues, while a parent who is emotionally closed off and rarely offers praise or approval can lead to a child who feels they have to hide “weakness” and their anxiety comes off as anger and/or people pleasing. Hook, in my opinion, fits the bill for a lot of this…and it would explain why he’s so drawn to Smee as a sort of replacement for the father-figure in his life.
So yeah, Hook just has family issues in general. Poor guy needs a lifetime of therapy.

- It's no surprise that Seteth is protective of you- that's only in his nature. He's lost nearly everyone and everything dear to him, so keeping you close and safe is something he absolutely needs to feel even somewhat in control of his life. In addition, he feels so overwhelmingly blessed that by some beautiful miracle you want to be with him that he can be near obsessive about making you happy and comfortable.
- When it's just about him being protective, or even a bit possessive, he's quite fun to tease. “Can I hug you?”
How did he end up here? A fantastic question that he cannot find the answer for as he looks down at Y/N, who’d insisted he walk her to the girl’s dorm. He probably should’ve predicted that she’d ask about his sudden change of pace, but Tsukishima doubted he ever would’ve predicted she’d ask to hug him. Especially since he definitely hadn’t been the nicest to her.
“This didn’t happen.” 
That’s all Tsukishima says as he awkwardly winds his arms arounds Y/N’s form. She hums in response, and Y/N has a feeling if he could see the grin on her face he’d pull away almost immediately. Which is why she’d buried her face in his chest, arms around his body as they stand just outside dorms they’ve been residing in during their stay at the training camp alongside the other teams. 
Tsukishima doesn’t know why he agreed to this. He’s not sure he wants to as he feels Y/N’s breath against his chest, causing his cheeks to warm. During the walk she’d confronted him and he’d— for some reason — told her that he didn’t intend to get left behind Hinata and Kageyama; who’d improved quite a bit it appeared. Even if Volleyball meant absolutely nothing to him.
And then she asked to hug him. Y/N just had a feeling he could use one, though, if she was honest, Y/N had expected a hard no. She’d expected him to criticize her for asking such a childish question, she’d expected teasing and cruel remarks about how ridiculous the idea was. Tsukishima had never been affectionate, or at least openly affectionate. He was never involved in team hugs, hugs in general, not even a simple fist bump from Tanaka. 
And yet here he was, agreeing to a hug from Y/N L/N, one of the new managers of the Karasuno Volleyball Club. 
“This didn’t happen.” Came her response, her words of agreement were muffled against Tsukishima’s chest, but he’d heard her. They had an understanding. 
And he’d never admit it, but it was nice. Hugging someone. Holding someone in his arms. Tsukishima hadn’t actually accepted affection in a while, maybe it was because one of the only people he’d been close with in his life— the one person he looked up to — ended up being a liar. Maybe its because a small part of him wanted to maintain his reputation as a coldhearted jerk, or maybe its because he just hadn’t found someone’s affection he enjoyed.
Until now, of course. There was something different about having Y/N in his arms, something comforting about her presence that made him feel compelled to answer the questions she asked as she pried about his sudden change in attitude. It’s not like they were close, though he tolerated her when she’d simply started coming to club meeting; apparently she’d known Tanaka from middle school, and decided to visit him at the club, until one day it became a daily thing. They ended up giving her the title of manager after she to work alongside Kiyoko. Y/N had even helped tutor those idiots, Kageyama and Hinata, something Tsukishima somehow got roped into. After that, he had a newfound respect for the girl.
It wasn’t that he liked her. He would never like Y/N. She just helped manage the club, and Volleyball was just a sport. Besides, they’d never be that close again, never hug again, never exchange any affection at all, ever again.
He broke that promise fairly quickly. 
Yamaguchi had insisted that he and Tsukishima start joining the rest of the team on their walk home, mentioning how they could stop by Ukai’s convenience store and pick up some food if they so pleased. And maybe that was what convinced him— though Yamaguchi had a feeling the mention of Y/N’s name had a little bit of influence on the decision as well — maybe not. 
It didn’t take long for Tsukishima to realize that as everyone slowly branched off into their respective neighborhoods, Y/N had yet to do the same. Apparently she lived the farthest from Karasuno of the bunch, which is why Tanaka had tried to offer to walk her home. 
She’d rejected the idea entirely, seeing as he’d have to walk back home in the dark by the time she’d gotten to her home. The idea didn’t sit right with Y/N, so Tanaka had left Yamaguchi, Tsukishima and Y/N on their own. 
Y/N didn’t miss the look Yamaguchi gave Tsukishima as he remained by her side, tilting her head in confusion and the blonde waved his friend off and continued walking alongside Y/N. She decided it was best not to question it, they were already a questionable pair of friends and Y/N wouldn’t be shocked if they had some sort of secret code they communicated through.
When she suggested this of course, Tsukishima called her an idiot.
“That’s not very nice, Tsukki.”
If Tsukishima was honest he should’ve kept walking alongside Yamaguchi a while ago, and yet here he was, alongside Y/N. He was pretty grateful she had yet to mention it, especially since he didn’t really favor lying, and he didn’t really have an explanation as to why he decided to walk her home.
It just felt right. 
“Well it’s a stupid idea.” Came his response, nose scrunching up at the nickname. Only Yamaguchi called him that, not that he had a problem with Y/N using the nickname as well. 
Y/N raised a brow, “I don’t think so, you’re smart enough to make a secret code or something.” A smile found its way onto her face as she looked over to him, playfully bumping into his side as she continued, “you probably use it to write about conspiracy theories or something.” 
“I’m not a conspiracy theorist, Y/N.” He side eyes the girl, scoffing at her words as he pushes his glasses up on the bridge of his nose in an attempt to distract from the warmth that flooded his chest. 
Y/N hummed in reply, looking to him as she asked, “so you don’t believe that lizard people run society?” 
Tsukishima’s brows furrowed as he looked to her incredulously, “absolutely not.” 
“Sounds like something a lizard person would say.” Came her reply, a grin on her face as she came to a stop, likely in front of her home. 
“Did you just suggest that I’m a lizard person?”
“Maybe.”
There was no way he liked Y/N L/N. In that moment, he made another promise to himself, Tsukishima Kei swore he would never like Y/N L/N, someone who was apparently a lizard person fanatic and insisted that he was a conspiracy theorist. 
A silence encompasses the two as Y/N looks up at him curiously, eyes falling over his face as a small hum leaves her lips. Tsukishima doesn’t know why exactly he lets it happen, why he lets her gently grab his chin, bringing him close to press a kiss to his cheek, “thanks for walking me home, Tsukki.” When she releases his face, she turns on her heel, heading toward her door, but not before saying, “try not to get home too late, and text Yamaguchi— he’s probably worried about you.” 
Okay, so maybe he would break this promise faster than last time. 
“This didn’t happen.” He manages to call out to her, watching as she makes her way down the cobblestone path to her front door. 
Y/N looks over her shoulder, a smirk on her face as she offers him a wave, “this didn’t happen!” She called back in agreement, stepping inside her home and shutting the door behind him. 
A lot faster than last time. 
He has no idea why he didn’t stop her the first time, when she asked. And he doesn’t know why he didn’t stop her now, or the next time, or the time after that. Tsukishima probably should’ve known better, he should’ve stopped indulging himself with her presence.
And yet sitting on his bed, lying on his side watching her, he knows there was no stopping this. Y/N is smirking, clearly noticing his gaze on her as she continues to silently read from her textbook, writing things down into her notebook on occasion. He almost gets frustrated at the sight, brows furrowing before he returns his eyes to his own textbook
Tsukishima probably would’ve finished a while ago had it not been for her, it’s not that Y/N had done anything, but her presence only served as a distraction at this point, leaving Tsukishima wondering just why he invited her. He can’t remember the reasoning behind his actions, but he has a feeling it wasn’t worth the lack of productivity that came with her visit. 
“Have you done anything?” 
As much as Tsukishima admired how observant Y/N was, he currently despised this trait of hers as he slammed the textbook shut, “yes.” It was a lie, Tsukishima had never been so unproductive in his life, and he hated it. He hated everything about this stupid project, especially the fact that she was his partner. 
A laugh escaped her, earning a glare from Tsukishima, “you’re so scary.” She says, though its clear she’s teasing him as she comes to pat his cheek condescendingly, accompanied by a mocking tone and an annoying smirk.
“Whatever.” He grumbles, tossing the textbook off the bed before falling back against his bed. 
Y/N hums, eyes falling over his figure as she nods to herself. “I see.”
Tsukishima scoffs at her words, lifting his head up to meet her gaze with a glare, “see what?”
Her grin only widens at his words as she shuts her own textbook, placing it on the nightstand beside her alongside her notebook before allowing herself to collapse into Tsukishima’s pillows. “You’re grumpy—” She turns to her side, lifting her arm up, “because you want a hug.”
Tsukishima looks at her incredulously, rolling his eyes as he brings his hands to his face, causing Y/N to lower her arm as she pouts. “You’re stupid.” He mumbles, watching her push up onto her elbows.
“And you’re a touch-starved grump.” Comes her reply, prying his hands form his forehead to gently remove his glasses, reaching over him to place it on the other nightstand before returning to her side of the bed. She lifts her arm once more, looking to Tsukishima expectantly. 
He inhales deeply, looking away in an attempt to maintain some of his pride when he feels his cheeks redden. “We have work to do.”
“The project isn’t due for another two weeks, Kei.” 
Tsukishima finds himself trying to glare at her, though it fails when he realizes she’s said his first name and he can’t bring himself to be upset anymore, simply saying, “this didn’t happen.” Before his arms come around her waist, Y/N’s arm that was once hovering above her now wrapped around his neck as she pulled him closer. Her other hand coming to tangle her fingers in his hair.
“This didn’t happen.” She repeated.
That day, he promises that the next time they meet, they’re actually going to get work done. He breaks this promise too, quickly realizing that this is a theme whenever the promises are related to Y/N.
Tsukishima doesn’t really realize that he’s in too deep until the day his lips crash against hers and he finds himself whispering those damned words once more, “this didn’t happen.” His hands running down her sides as he tries to pull her closer because whenever he’s around her that cold that plagues him day and night seems to fade, replaced the warmth she seems radiate as though she’s the sun.
He hates that he compares her to the sun, he hates that she’s become something he needs, a presence he craves, because Y/N L/N was meant to be nobody and now she seems to be one of the most important people in his life. He hates that she understands him, that she can read his every move better than he can, that she knows what he needs before he even says it. 
He doesn’t realize he’s in too deep until he’s promising himself not to fall in love.
Because for the first time in a while, Tsukishima Kei wants nothing more than to touch, he wants to feel, even though he’s filled with fear of the unknown, fear of the feelings he so desperately wanted to avoid. For once in his life, he wants to let go, because he finally feels comfortable enough to do so. 
This time all she says is, “I know.” 
Because Y/N knows that falling for Tsukishima was a mistake, a big one. She’s well aware of the fact that the boy is emotionally unavailable and renowned for his rude attitude and crude remarks. She knows that even if they have these silent moments together, even if she’s held him in her arms at night, even if they’ve been closer than she’s even been with anyone else, this basically means nothing. Because its not like either of them would ever do anything about the fact that the few words they did share in moments like these, weren’t ones of denial that the moments didn’t happen, but something else entirely at this point. 
Confessions in their own right. 
But she knows that all she’ll ever be, is something that didn’t happen. Not a story of his first love, not the girl he talks about with his friends, not the one he thinks about, the one he saw in everyday life. She was nobody, because she didn’t happen.
She doesn’t know that she’s wrong. Very wrong. That Tsukishima spoke fondly of her— honestly, Yamaguchi loves Y/N, he really does, but he’d getting a bit tired of hearing about how the mundane things she does that Tsukishima happens to notice. That he thought of her frequently, that the smell of coffee reminded him of her now, that the sight of the sunset she fawned over every time they walked home together only served as a reminder of her.
It’s not until he’s crying out in victory because they beat Shiratorizawa, Karasuno won, he won. It’s not until he’s so overwhelmed with emotion that he finds his legs moving on their own, towards Y/N; who stands beside Ukai and Takeda, the pair had taken to screaming at each other in the midst of their excitement. It’s not until his hands are on her face, bringing her into a kiss, much to her surprise, that he realizes what exactly the warmth was.
“This didn’t happen?” She asks, trying her hardest to ignore the stares of the team—though many of them are still caught up in their own celebration— as she looks to him. 
Tsukishima simply grins, “I didn’t say that.”

Author's Note: So y'all remember how I said that one story sparked the beginning of the Outlaws x Reader? Yeah, I lied and wrote the actual beginning. Enjoy! -Thorne
It was a subtle thing, the slightest shift in her demeanor, and he would have missed it if he hadn’t the years of thorough training in order to recognize such shifts. Her default expression was typically a frown and narrowed eyes, and hardly ever did she crack a smile, even at the most downright hysterical jokes and pranks his family would pull on one another. Which was odd for a Tamaranean considering the fact that most of the ones he’d met were usually overjoyed, especially her sister.
Something had also flashed across her face in that moment he mentioned it and she offhandedly muttered about being conditioned to not show emotion, especially that of joy or kindness during her captive years—it was easily taken advantage of by those that wished to do their worst harms to people. Then, she waved it off, and talked about something she’d read on the internet, Resting-Bitch-Face, she’d called it, then actually laughed, and said it was her normal face, there was no particular negative emotion that caused it, it just was—but if it deterred people from being friendly with her, all the better.
And he’d come to realize that her frown and narrowed gaze didn’t ooze disinterest or irritation like he’d once believed. No, now that he’d noticed the shift in her eyes when she was around him and those she cared for, the softness that entered them, and the split second that her brows unfurrowed, features relaxing ever so slightly before they hardened again, covering up any semblance of relative peace. That was the moment he realized he was in love with her, and hopelessly at that too.
But she wasn��t an easy woman to understand, not by a long-shot, or to be around, and she’d even agree with both of those. Most people, like his older brother and his friends, avoided her like the plague and didn’t interact unless it was necessary, despite the fact that she’d once been a member of the Titans with Kory. Hell, most of the Justice League didn’t want to call in reinforcements if it meant she was coming too, she was that destructive when she fought—but her volatile nature held a lifetime of wrath and a raging need to burn away all remnants of abuse—either in herself or other innocents. And she only got it out when she expended her solar energy on those she deemed her enemies.
She was impertinent with people that wasted her time, and she especially hated when people made noise, hell, even when they breathed loudly it drove her up the wall. Which almost made her kill Roy the first time she’d met him because he wouldn’t stop whistling. She was also typically the reason that Jason and Roy couldn’t bring her along to bars anymore because she was more than happy to break someone’s leg over touching her or muttering explicit comments in her ear.
But what most people didn’t take the time to see was that she was caring too. She didn’t show it because she viewed it as a weakness to be taken from her by an enemy, but it slipped through sometimes. One of the easiest memories to call on of it, was the time they’d saved a group of kids from human traffickers and as they waited for the city police to show up, she made even the youngest child learn how to send a strike that would disorient even someone who was larger than they were. That spot just below your chest is called the solar plexus. Hit it as hard as you can, and your opponent will be winded. Curl your fingers in and open your hand, like so. Strike into their middle with the heel of your palm as hard as you can.
Jason wondered if it was the first time she’d smiled since she came to earth, because when she saw the kids slip into a state of absolute fun as they tried to whack each other, a broad grin stretched across her face. But it gave him a glimpse he hadn’t seen of her—that she was still a living being, capable of strong emotion, and if that smile on her face was any indicator, she was feeling pride and understanding towards the children. He loved her smile, wishing that it would’ve stayed a moment longer.
Unfortunately, being smitten didn’t seem to just apply to Jason because if someone as hard-assed and anal-retentive about feelings as he was, was feeling such a way, he knew a loose, emotionally tethered man like Roy was too, especially when the archer gazed at her with those big evergreen eyes like he was staring at the whole universe compacted into one woman. Jason wasn’t sure how to feel about that.
And if he was being completely honest, he didn’t know how to feel about either of them—he wouldn’t deny there was something more than just friendship between he and Roy, and it wasn’t that strong as steel, forged level of trust you get between watching each other’s back when you’re in the thick of danger—it was deeper than that, but they’d yet to bring it up—that or it just hadn’t come up to where they needed to talk about it. And now that there was another person he wanted…Jason wanted to acknowledge it, but he was so afraid of fucking up probably the greatest thing that happened to him since he came back, and that kept him paralyzed from acting on his feelings. And he was content to keep his mouth shut if it meant avoiding that, even if he had to watch the two people he loved the most get closer.

Training with the Warlords of Okaara meant rising before the sun, and while she’d learned to indulge in waiting for the sun to appear in the sky before waking here on earth, old habits died hard, and more often than not, she found herself lying in bed in the early hours of the morn, simply staring at the ceiling until she heard Jason or Roy shuffling around in the kitchen. That being said, it was usually Jason who was up and not Roy, the latter being very lazy and preferring to sleep until practically noon.
Today however, she wasn’t the first to arise, coming to stare at Jason as she shuffled into the kitchen, watching as he tiptoed around the area, either consciously being quiet, or unconsciously falling back on sneaking training. His back was to her, and even if she wasn’t one privy to childish whims, she couldn’t help but creep up on him and wait in his peripheral until he finally noticed her. And when he did, it was downright hilarious.
He jerked with a sharp ‘shit’ and immediately threw out his right elbow to jab at whatever had snuck up on him and she caught it with ease, allowing a smirk to cross her lips before it fell and she murmured, “Peace, Jason. It would be unbecoming to attack a teammate.” She pressed her thumb into the flesh underside his arm and his arm tingled with heat. “Better yet a friend.”
Jason scowled and pulled his arm out her grip. “It’s unbecoming to sneak up on teammates too, (Y/N).”
She merely hummed and flowed around him to the refrigerator. The door creaked on its hinges and he momentarily reminded himself to oil it later, watching as she pulled out the water pitcher.
“You are up rather early,” (Y/N) noted. “I have noticed that you sleep an hour or so later than I.” Her glowing eyes pierced him with a clarity that he wasn’t sure he liked. “Is there something on your mind, Jason?”
He shrugged and turned away, busying himself with pulling out a skillet and a spatula. “Just woke up, is all.” Jason didn’t have to be facing her to know that those eyes were boring into his back—he could feel them.
“Ah, so your body has received the needed recovery.”
Chuckling, he replied, “Something like that.” He felt her shift behind him, then the egg carton appeared beside the spatula on the counter, and he glanced over at her, only to see a curious look in her eye.
“Has anyone ever told you that your eyes glow in the dark?”
Jason blinked—not that he remembered. He unconsciously reached up to touch just below his eye and he murmured, “No…they do?”
(Y/N) lifted a hand and he couldn’t fight the way his heart began to pound in his chest at how soft her fingertips were when they finally touched his skin. She drew her fingers up his cheek and to his eyebrow, tracing it delicately, as if he were made of porcelain and the faintest touch would shatter him into a million shards—not like he wasn’t feeling like that already.
“It is strange, Jason. They are teal in the light, but when there is darkness…they glow a vivid green.”
A memory flashed across his mind, waking up in the neon ooze of the Lazarus Pit and he couldn’t help but shut his eyes, trying to will it away. She placed her palm against his cheek and Jason sighed as the warmth bled into his skin, reminding him of those moments of falling onto a warm pillow.
“What is on your mind, Jason?” she asked, and this time she wasn’t probing to see if he’d tell her—(Y/N) wanted an answer, and a real one at that. He let out a shaky breath as he mulled over the words that played on his tongue. “I can see you are thinking about it. Tell me what is weighing on you and I will do what I can to appease it.”
“I don’t know if it’s that simple, (Y/N),” he replied and he opened his eyes to stare at her. Her expression was unreadable and the fact that he couldn’t decipher her thoughts worried him.
“Simplicity. Complexity. These are only matters of time and understanding, Jason,” she explained and thumbed his cheekbone. “You know that I can do so. Let me help you.”
It was now or never and either he told her here or he told her later when the timing was worse, and he made an even bigger mess. At least here, she could let him down easy and swear to never say a word to Roy about it.
Jason took a deep breath and prepared himself for the worst as he confessed quietly, “I…love you, (Y/N).”
The most extraordinary thing occurred in front of Jason—her jaw went slack, and her eyes went wide like she’d witnessed the most impossible thing. And that had to be the second to worst reaction he could hope for because he’d honestly rather have her flat-out rejection than stunned silence, just staring at each other. And stare they did…for a solid minute before she appeared to find her voice.
“I…was not aware you had affectations for me.” (Y/N) blinked, adding, “Is this a recent discovery?”
He shrugged. “I tried to ignore it…I didn’t want to mess up the dynamic we’ve got going but…”
Jason trailed off and she tipped her head to the side, repeating, “But?”
Meeting her gaze, he said, “But I couldn’t stop feeling for you.” Suddenly he felt like a caged animal, too close, too confined, too transparent in her glowing stare and he pulled from her touch, spinning around to place his hands on the counter so he could gather his thoughts.
“I don’t know what’s between you and Roy, but I know it’s more than sex and I’m not going to come between it.”
“Even if you want to?” she questioned, and he gripped the counter until his knuckles turned a sickly, pale shade. “Don’t you want to be the one at my side?”
“What I want doesn’t matter. I want you both to be happy.”
“At your own expense.”
Jason huffed a mirthless laugh. “I’m used to my expense being unseen and uncared for.” He lowered his head as his heart began to collapse on itself. “I love you, (Y/N) and…and I love Roy too.” Even with all he’d been through, Jason wondered if this was what it was like to have a broken heart. “But I won’t stand in the way.”
She was silent for a long time and Jason fought viciously to keep the tears at bay. He’d just revealed two of the biggest secrets he’d ever had in his entire life—discounting the whole vigilante thing—and he wasn’t sure where that was going to leave him in the morning.
A warm hand touched his knuckles and his head shot up, staring wide and teary eyed at (Y/N) who wore a heart-tugging smile. Finally, she spoke, soft and kind.
“Come with me,” she said, and Jason felt confusion course through him as his brows knitted together.
“What?”
(Y/N) pulled his grip away from the counter as if it were nothing and she tugged at his hand. “Come with me,” she repeated, this time a bit firmer and he had no control over his feet as he silently obeyed, letting her lead him down the long hallway until they stood at her door.
She opened it and pulled him inside her room, closing the door with her free hand. Jason had turned on the lights leading to the kitchen, so he had to blink a few times, waiting for his eyes to adjust to the darkness in her room, but when they did, her room was the last place he wanted to be—mostly because Roy was curled up like a cat in her bed.
He tried to pull away, whispering, “(Y/N), please don’t—”
She shot him a look with those gleaming eyes and his mouth snapped shut, though his apprehension bubbled in his chest the closer she led him to her bed. They reached the edge and she pulled him towards her. He stepped forward, allowing her to maneuver him until his knees touched the edge and she placed her hands on his chest, shoving with enough force that if he wanted to stop himself, he had to try hard. Jason didn’t though and he fell back onto the mattress, momentarily glancing over his shoulder to make sure he didn’t wake Roy; he didn’t, and he looked back at her.
“(Y/N)?”
She pulled the shirt from her body, leaving her in her undergarments and she shoved at his shoulder.
“Lie down,” she commanded calmly, and despite everything in his bones screaming at him to get up and flee, he obeyed, albeit when his back hit the bed, he went still as a wooden beam.
“X’Hal, Jason. Relax.” She slipped into the bed beside him and pulled the covers up over the two of them as she pressed herself into Jason’s side, one leg sliding between his.
He wasn’t entirely sure what was happening at the moment, but when she reached across him and shoved Roy in the face until he woke up, something started to fall into place.
“Roy,” (Y/N) said and shoved him again, smirking slightly when the archer let out a grunt and cracked an eye open.
“What?” he muttered rather annoyed, glaring into her eyes.
She nodded at the man between them. “Jason is here.”
Roy blinked a few times. “I’m sorry?” he questioned, evidently not understanding it the first time.
(Y/N) grabbed Roy’s arm and hauled him until he collided with Jason and he wasn’t sure if it was himself or Roy who was more flustered at meeting each other’s gaze as she simply repeated, “Jason is here.”
Roy took a moment to fully understand what she was saying. “Jaybird?”
Jason pulled the most awkward smile he’d ever produced. “Roy.”
The archer looked between him and her then asked, “I thought we were going to talk to him together?”
(Y/N) shrugged. “He told me he loved us.”
Both men yelped at the same time, vastly different reactions words, but the feeling of shock was still the same. She was obviously unamused at the long, drawn-out moment and Jason remembered she hated wasting time when she gave him another look. She nodded at Roy and they stared each other down before he sighed and nodded, turning his face to Roy.
“She’s…right, Roy.” He let his fingers brush against the smooth skin of Roy’s wrist as he whispered, “I love you. I love both of you.”
He wasn’t sure what reaction was going to come out of Roy, but when the man sat up in the bed with a face-splitting grin, it was safe to say he was relieved.
Roy took Jason’s face in his hands. “You do?”
Jason nodded. “Yeah.”
The archer glanced at (Y/N) then back to him. “We were going to ask you to be with us later today, but we weren’t sure if you would respond positively or not.”
Jason blinked then turned his attention to (Y/N). “Like…for sex?”
She directed her gaze to the ceiling, and she let out the longest and most tired sigh he’d ever heard her make.
“If we wanted you to have sex with us, we would have asked a long time ago.” (Y/N) sat up slightly and lay against his chest. “No, we want you to be with us, Jason. Romantically.”
His eyes widened. “You want me to be with you two? Like a poly relationship?” Both of them nodded and he turned his head up to the ceiling, staring, unblinkingly.
“Do you think we killed his brain, (Y/N)?” Roy chuckled as he nudged her in the side and she snorted, gently rising until she was in Jason’s line of sight.
“Roy and I have not been seeing each other for a long time Jason, but even if we have not, we have noticed that something is missing, and that something is you.” (Y/N) caressed his cheek with the back of her hand and murmured, “We both share your affections. Greatly and strongly do we share them.”
She smiled and leaned forward, pressing a kiss to his forehead. “We love you, Jason.”
He took a second to gaze between her and Roy, his heart stuck in his throat and when he received the heartwarming smile from Roy, he looked back at her.
“You both really want me to be with you?” he sounded so scared, so ready to have the rug pulled out from underneath him with a horrible, tasteless joke, but (Y/N) merely nodded.
“We do, Jason.” She gave him a sympathetic look. “But if you wish to leave, you may. We will not be upset at your hesitancy or refusal.”
Roy placed a hand on Jason’s clothed chest and added, “We want you, Jason, but if you’re uncomfortable with it, we understand.” He smiled and reassured, “You don’t have to do anything you don’t wanna do, Jaybird.”
They waited. Patiently. And it took Jason a few moments to remember how to breathe correctly again, but when he did, he nodded silently.
“I want to be here…with both of you,” he whispered and before he could even do a thing, the two of them had him caged between them, their heads resting on his shoulders, arms wrapped tightly around his middle.
But it wasn’t confining, it was comfortable, and it was loving. So loving that Jason’s eyes filled with tears and he shut them tight to avoid crying, but when his body began to shake, (Y/N) and Roy didn’t think twice before shifting and pressing their faces into his neck, showering him with praise and love-filled words.
And Jason fell asleep in the arms of the two people who he loved the most—and loved him as well.

Solangelo Headcanons
So I’ve got a lot of these cause I’m such a simp for Nico and Will (feel free to ask me about any other Headcanons on either character, cause I’ve got LOTS)
They’re both massive nerds, but neither of them really like the same kind of things
Like, Will is more of a Star Wars and Star Trek fan, he loves Harry Potter more than life itself, and reads medical textbooks and animal books for fun
But Nico is such a linguistics and mythology nerd, we all know he loves Pokémon and DND, and he’s really into classic literature and art
They both spend 90% of their dates geeking out over their interests, and even when they talk about something the other doesn’t understand, they’re super supportive and sweet cause they’re both cute geeks
As much as they aren’t interested in the same things for the most part, they do have a few interests in common (pirates, astronomy, Dreamworks and Disney animated movies, The Princess Bride, Lord of the Rings, music, marvel and DC)
They absolutely have movie marathon dates. It’s their favourite thing. Their favourite movie series’ are Pirates of the Caribbean, Night at the Museum, and The Lord of the Rings/ The Hobbit
Nico loves watching Star Wars with Will because Will mumbled the lines along with the characters and does little lightsaber noises along with it and he’s so cute
Will likes watching movie adaptions of classic lit with Nico because he points out everything that’s different from the books, why the movies are bad, and insists on pausing it to go on rants about everything they got wrong. Will fucking loves it
They both have tattoos. Will’s got the sun over his chest, and a small semi colon on his left wrist next to a treble clef. Nico’s got a semicolon on his right wrist next to a bass clef
Will loves Halloween, and Nico could take it or leave it (he never did anything for it because he grew up in Italy), but Nico does couples costumes because Will looks at him with puppy dog eyes and Nico’s helpless
They’ve gone as Jed and Octavian from Night at the Museum; Buzz Lightyear and Woody; those two crazy pirates from Pirates of the Caribbean (the one with the wooden eye who dressed up in drag, and the short one who got upset over parlay); 1930’s mobsters; Adam and Barbara Maitland from Beetlejuice; Han Solo and Luke Skywalker
They actually talk to Mr. D, and that’s why they’re his favourite— they play poker with him, they talk to him, they treat him like anyone else and he lives them for it
Will loves every single one of Nico’s siblings (Rachel, Hazel, Reyna, Meg, Jason, Connor, Travis, Percy, Tyson, Estelle, Chiara, Piper, etc). They share ridiculous Nico stories and plan pranks on him— they all adore Will
Will’s siblings and friends lowkey love Nico more than Will. He brings them McDonalds, teases Will and makes Will blush, attempts archery to try to bond with them (he really tries, but he’s just really awful), he tells Will’s little siblings bedtime stories. Nico’s just really awkward, and he really tries, and they all love him. Of course, Cecil, Lou Ellen, Austin, and Kayla bug Nico a lot because he’s so awkward, but the truth is they really, really, really like him
Will is horrible at music. Like, truly horrible at anything to do with music. But he has an encyclopedic knowledge of music from over the last 200 years, and randomly quotes lyrics and talks about musical theory all day long
In contrast, Nico is amazing at playing piano and guitar, plus he enjoys playing the drums. He’s really musically talented, but knows nothing about the theory behind it or about the artists. Whenever Nico tries to learn a new song, Will nerds out over the musician/background of the song/cool lyrical devices that make it an amazing song. Nico frickin loves it
Nico loves cooking, while Will can’t cook for his life. Like someone get this boy some help, he almost burnt down his mom’s house while microwaving popcorn. They agreed that Nico would cook and Nico would clean
Nico can’t drive for shit. I mean, cars don’t exist in the city where he grew up (there’s not enough room for vehicles on the few roads in Venice), and even if there were, he’s Italian and gay (sorry about the stereotypes there, but I really can’t see Nico being a good driver). Will drives them everywhere or gets Jules-Albert to drive them, and hides Nico’s drivers license to ‘protect the public from his menace of a boyfriend’
You know how I mentioned the no vehicles in Venice thing? Yeah, no bikes are in the city either. Will taught Nico to ride a bike after the Giants War (before they started dating). Hazel took videos and pictures cause Nico was freaking out over it and yelling at Will not to let him die
Will finds animals on the street and adopts them. Nico begrudgingly helps Will to take care of the animals until they find good homes for them (mostly from people in New Rome)
Unfortunately, Will gets attached to them, and now they have 5 cats, 2 dogs, 3 snakes, 4 lizards, and a blue Jay
They’re both really grumpy in the morning. If you wake either of them up, they will probably bite your hand off
They like going on runs a lot? They’ll go on jogs once a day if possible, and they’ll chat or share earbuds while doing so
They go on dates on canoe lake a lot. They like to have races on the canoes, and to just float out away from everyone else (they totally don’t joke about being pirates or pretend to be pirates while on the lake, that’d be ridiculous and childish)
When Will’s been in the infirmary for too long, Nico walks in and throws a Kit Kat at his head, and then drags him out of the infirmary (sometimes by his ear, sometimes by his hand, depending on how long Will’s been in there for or how annoyed Nico is that day)
Nico’s teaching Will how to speak Venetian (he sucks at it, but Nico appreciates the effort)
Nico takes a long time to get used to PDA, and even after they’ve been dating for years, Nico’s really only comfortable with holding hands and hugs (plus cheek kisses or quick pecks) in public. Will’s fine with it, and he didn’t stop smiling for three days after Nico first pecked him on the cheek in public
International dates! Paris, Venice, Milan, Madrid, Banff, Athens, Cairo, Tokyo, Sydney, Ho Chi Minh, everywhere! They love travelling!
They have a lot of conversations where they tell the other how amazing they are (since they’re both pretty self-deprecating, and they think the world of the other, it ends up with them just going ‘shut up you’re beautiful, why do you put up with me’ for hours on end)
Dates on roofs! Nico and Will point out constellations at night and cloud watch during the day. They have picnics on the roof of the Big House, and the Hades and Apollo cabins all the time
They buy each other Funko Pop figures for birthdays, Christmas, and basically anytime they want to get each other a gift

If tfs had multiple endings (like something like clementine dies or even aj) what kind of endings do u think would be really cool to have? Personally dam now that I think about it an aj death ending is so dam sad but so interesting at the same time 🤧🤧
I'm with you, anon - as sad as more "bad endings" can be, it is more interesting to have those options be there and exploring the consequences fully. And this is the kinda thing I really like exploring - the alternate paths and how those things can play out if you just tweak the little things. So yeah, I hope you don't mind reading, I have a lot of thoughts on this one.
As for what kinda endings I would have liked to see, I'm a fan of having a diverging point in the last episode as you leave the cave after choosing if you trust AJ, and after James' fate is set as cooperative, pissed off with you, or dead.
You exit the cave and I want your level of friendliness with your saved companion to matter - you know how the game lets you BFF or romance the characters regardless of if you're an absolute dick to them? Yeah, well, I would prefer if at this point they only came to help you out if you were nice to them - if you were a dick, then even if you are their romantic partner they don't feel more obligated to help you over the other kids that got rescued. It’s not an act of cruelty on their part, but one of basic numbers - they have several friends to look out for right now.
In that situation you're a man down and Tenn is the one to mention the bridge - you get a scene more focussed on Tenn and AJ talking and get to hear AJ's attitude change towards Tenn based on whether you trusted him more or not. It could be AJ lecturing Tenn about survival stuff and how AJ wants to teach him, or it's them being more childish and maybe talking about Science Dog - just some fluff that makes us happy to see that AJ has a friend.
The bridge plays out mostly the same, and Clem cannot avoid her leg being damaged in the fight if it's just her and Tenn on that side of the bridge - I bring this up because I would like there to be a scenario where Clem can save her leg.
In theory, I would like it if a Clem who has earned cooperation from all of her companions and James has the ability to have another person on her side. James coming up on the bridge in the herd Minnie brings? Him having a character arc where if you pushed that sometimes the peaceful option might just lead to more death? Can you just imagine for a second that he sneaks up on Minnie as she's about to swing that axe down?
So let's say you have 4 theoretical combos happening with how many characters you have on the bridge:
Clem + AJ + Tenn = Clem is injured and Tenn's fate is determined by AJ being able to convince him to let his sister go (through mutual trust between them) or if AJ fails Tenn follows Clem's lead and also feels like AJ is too young to make decisions and therefore trusts his sister's manipulation more.
Clem + AJ + Tenn + Louis or Violet = same as canon. Clem is injured, Tenn and Louis or Violet are determinant on if AJ is trusted.
Clem + AJ + Tenn + James = Clem is not injured, but James will die in his struggle with Minnie - he saves Clem from the axe moment but without the extra backup he gets shoved through the hole in the bridge and falls to the rocks, Tenn's fate is still determined by AJ being able to convince him to let his sister go.
Clem + AJ + Tenn + James + Louis or Violet = Clem is not injured, James stops the axe moment and with the added backup of Louis or Violet he doesn't fall off the bridge, and Tenn's is saved by Louis or Violet while James keeps Minnie back. Louis or Violet also get off the bridge unscathed with James’ help to throw Tenn over. BUT James will always be the last person on that side of the bridge and his fate is determinant on trusting AJ (did you trust AJ to go with his own thoughts? And does AJ still think James wants to hurt them, or have you instilled enough thoughts that people can be redeemed into his head?) - AJ may choose to shoot James if he still views him as crazy, or irredeemable for his actions in the cave - this will still be a point of contention amongst the rest of the survivors.
So going over all that, you could theoretically end up on the other side of the bridge with these combos:
Injured Clem + AJ Injured Clem + AJ + Tenn Injured Clem + AJ + Louis Injured Clem + AJ + Violet
OR
Clem + AJ Clem + AJ + Tenn Clem + AJ + Louis + Tenn Clem + AJ + Violet + Tenn Clem + AJ + Louis+ Tenn + James Clem + AJ + Violet + Tenn + James
And now the combo you get is important, because an injured Clem can't climb that gate, she's stuck going for the cliff climb since she has more time to climb that before the walkers surround it. But an un-injured Clem has the choice of going over that gate - and that is the no bite route.
Going over the gate is shown to be a safe way home for a single kid to manage, so this group is safe at least from walker bites. There would need to be another emotional high point to this route that's the equivalent to the bite, though... and I'm not entirely sure what that would be. Maybe this is the route where that original thing where they wanted Sullene to chase Clem down as revenge for killing Yonatan can happen and Clem and AJ end up separated. I dunno... it's not the same parallel to season 1, but if they are desperate to have a similar feeling of dread maybe they can have another fake out where Clem gets shot in the scuffle and you once again switch to AJ panicking and trying to patch her up but the scene ends with Clem passing out before we know if he did a good enough job before either the rest of the group finds them, or AJ has to leave Clem and find the school. Or perhaps AJ can get shot here and we have another divergence. And to keep things sort of level with the amputation route, let’s call the shot a really bad shoulder hit that will result in that arm no longer having proper mobility even if it heals.
So in that scenario, let's say you can get 4 endings out of it. If you have friends you ended up separated from, then they're searching for you and can help with the medical emergency - they can save the person in time before they succumb to blood loss. But if you have to get to the school because you didn't have friends left here, then maybe it's too late. So Clem can die, Clem can be injured but recovering, AJ can die, or AJ can be injured but recovering. Then you have to incorporate all those other options into the "back at school" moment. So on this route, death situation of Clem or AJ also means Tenn is always dead and Clem's Saved friend is still alive, but they didn't come to find her after the cave, so you have that added tension to explore. Maybe you can even explore if AJ or Clem even wants to stay at the school if that was the end results - I dunno, it’s just an interesting thing to ponder. But the recovering situation can theoretically mean that no one died in the last episode, which is a marvel in and of itself.
But if you have an injured Clem who need to climb the cliffs, or an uninjured Clem who simply decided the cliff was a better option... this is where things get a little more complicated.
I would like it if in this scenario you could ask your Saved friend to either climb the gate (with Tenn and James if they are still alive) or come with you for the cliff. If they climb the gate, then they’re safe, it’s the same as canon and they get back to the school fine on their own. But if you ask them to stay, then there’s another option at the base of the cliff to determine the order in which the characters climb up. If it’s just you and AJ, then AJ always goes first, and everything proceeds as it does with canon. 
The problem is that an injured Clem is going to climb slower, so who goes last? If Clem is last, she gets bit, there’s no avoiding it - but if her Saved friend is climbing ahead of her, now they are there for the rest of the scenario watching a bitten Clem desperately keep AJ and them safe.
But if you make your Saved friend climb last, then it’s them who gets bitten, they go through a similar drama to a bitten Clem and plead to at least try to get them back to the school so they can make sure that Clem and AJ get back safely before they go. Same drama as canon, but happening to a different character... the difference being that an unbitten Clem in this situation who didn’t trust AJ to make his own decisions... well.... this one is on her shoulders, AJ’s not going to intervene. Does Clem make the choice to give their leg the axe, or does she kill them so they don’t turn, or does she just leave them there and take AJ to safety? And does the amputation option even work for them? Ehhh, let’s just say it does, Clem can’t be the only example of that working.
But finally... for like an ultimate downer moment, what if Clem is injured and climbs slower, but also asks her Saved friend to climb the cliff last? Well, we’re in for a double whammy. In this situation, your Saved friend is getting bit, and so is Clem. You both struggle to the barn, poor AJ is trying really hard not to break down while keeping the both of you moving, and you end up in the barn with Clem and her Saved friend debating what to do. Do they lament that this isn’t how they wanted things to go, or do they thank you for making sure they don’t leave the world alone? Do they make the suggestion that AJ does about being left as walkers, together forever and all that? And again, I wish there was some divergence here.... like, I get the want to surprise the player with  Clem still being alive - but does AJ still make that call when there’s more than one person telling him to just leave, or to kill them? I wish this was another moment where if you built up trust with AJ, then he saves you both by trusting in himself to try to save you, but if you didn’t trust him then he follows your word.
So on this route, you could have Clem die (potentially with the Saved friend as a witness), Clem could have her leg amputated (potentially with the Saved friend as a witness) , Clem could die with her Saved friend, Clem and her Saved friend could both be amputees, the Saved friend could die alone, or the Saved friend could have their leg amputated. 
So in total, we’re looking at... 10+ endings if you want to count in all those minor variations on who was romanced, saved, betrayed, etc.
And looking at it all.... I know it’s a lot. But in a world with all the resources, time, and motivation, I would have loved to have that many variations on the ending. It makes a happy ending in a choice based game feel so much happier and deserved when we know a “bad” end was so nearby too. Plus I really like when games provide “middle of the road” endings where they are varying levels of positives and negatives and it’s up to you to interpret if such a thing is good enough to still be considered an overall good situation.

Wuthering Heights Reread - Chapter 2
And here is Chapter 2, the funniest chapter of Wuthering Heights. I really chuckled a couple of times in this reread.
“Yesterday afternoon set in misty and cold. I had half a mind to spend it by my study fire, instead of wading through heath and mud to Wuthering Heights.”
Good idea Lockwood. I wish that you had stuck with this decision.
In these first lines of the chapter the conflict of the chapter is pretty much laid out, Lockwood unwisely going to Wuthering Heights and being trapped there because of the snowstorm.
“On coming up from dinner, however, (N.B.—I dine between twelve and one o’clock; the housekeeper, a matronly lady, taken as a fixture along with the house, could not, or would not, comprehend my request that I might be served at five)—“
Here is our first introduction to Nelly’s character. The critic James Hafley who came up with the villainous Nelly theory pointed to this first introduction as an evidence that Nelly is supposed to be a negatively portrayed character. Personally I think that it is instead revealing of how Lockwood views Nelly and the culture clash between them. Lockwood views Nelly as “a fixture”, almost as an item in the house. Lockwood’s patronizing and classist perception of Nelly will be present throughout their interactions.
The culture clash is also interesting. Nelly is someone who believes that you must have done half of your day’s work before ten in the morning and therefore she believes that lunch should be eaten in the afternoon, whereas Lockwood is a young urbanite who lives a life of idleness and wakes up late. It is fitting that this is our first introduction to their relationship since this discussion about when to go to bed will be featured later in the novel. This difference between their attitudes is not just about class but also about the general culture of the place. The inhabitants of the Heights go to bed at nine and wake up at four in the morning according to Heathcliff. These are practical, no-nonsense people despite all their other emotional turmoil and they can’t understand Lockwood’s decision to visit the Heights during a snowstorm, this is definitely a factor in the clash between them and Lockwood throughout the chapter.
Nelly is described as a “matronly lady”; Lockwood likes categorizing people, especially women, into different archetypes as will later be shown in the chapter.
“On that bleak hill-top the earth was hard with a black frost, and the air made me shiver through every limb. Being unable to remove the chain, I jumped over, and, running up the flagged causeway bordered with straggling gooseberry-bushes, knocked vainly for admittance, till my knuckles tingled and the dogs howled.”
Joseph’s gooseberry bushes make their first appearance. In Lockwood’s second coming to the region in late 1802 the door of Wuthering Heights will be unbarred and Cathy and Hareton will have cleared the ground from some of the gooseberry bushes intending to replace them with plants from the Grange, indicating the difference that took place between Lockwood’s visits to the region.
“The snow began to drive thickly. I seized the handle to essay another trial; when a young man without coat, and shouldering a pitchfork, appeared in the yard behind. He hailed me to follow him, and, after marching through a wash-house, and a paved area containing a coal-shed, pump, and pigeon-cot, we at length arrived in the huge, warm, cheerful apartment where I was formerly received. It glowed delightfully in the radiance of an immense fire, compounded of coal, peat, and wood; and near the table, laid for a plentiful evening meal, I was pleased to observe the ‘missis’, an individual whose existence I had never previously suspected.”
Our first introduction to Hareton immediately highlights his status as a worker in the farm and his seemingly lower status. He brings Lockwood to the house through another gate that presumably farm workers were supposed to use rather than a genteel visitor like Lockwood. We also get our first introduction to Cathy in this same paragraph which is fitting.
The description of the Heights is rather cozy, this isn’t a Gothic castle but rather a comfortable domestic setting. What makes it Gothic is the people and the happenings, not so much the actual place.
“She never opened her mouth. I stared—she stared also: at any rate, she kept her eyes on me in a cool, regardless manner, exceedingly embarrassing and disagreeable.
‘Sit down,’ said the young man, gruffly. ‘He’ll be in soon.’
I obeyed; and hemmed, and called the villain Juno, who deigned, at this second interview, to move the extreme tip of her tail, in token of owning my acquaintance.”
Cathy defiantly gazes back at Lockwood without a hint of feminine shyness or even any sort of friendliness. This is indicative of her defiant personality. No matter how dire her circumstances are her will to stand her ground and not obey others is strong, which, despite her rudeness and depressive spirit, is admirable.
The “ruffianly bitch” is revealed to be named Juno, which is fitting considering her swarm of squealing puppies.
“‘A beautiful animal!’ I commenced again. ‘Do you intend parting with the little ones, madam?’
‘They are not mine,’ said the amiable hostess, more repellingly than Heathcliff himself could have replied.”
Here we have yet another indication of Cathy’s unhappy state and an indication that she does not exactly function as the mistress of the house, the dogs are not hers.
“‘Ah, your favourites are among these?’ I continued, turning to an obscure cushion full of something like cats.
‘A strange choice of favourites!’ she observed scornfully.
Unluckily, it was a heap of dead rabbits.”
Needless to say, I really like this passage. It is the perfect example of the dark humor of Wuthering Heights. It is also the most concise illustration of the failure of Lockwood and by extension the reader trying to impose their preconceived notions of the world and fiction on Wuthering Heights. (People who were disappointed by the book not being a romance were probably expecting something like cats). It is also a good example of the aforementioned culture clash between Lockwood and the inhabitants of these houses, these dead rabbits are probably for farm work whereas Lockwood comes from the urban world where animals only exist to be pets or as a means of transportation. (Though admittedly Lockwood will later come to Yorkshire to “devastate the moors”, but knowing Lockwood this is also probably a passing interest and he does not know that much about hunting).
“Her position before was sheltered from the light; now, I had a distinct view of her whole figure and countenance. She was slender, and apparently scarcely past girlhood: an admirable form, and the most exquisite little face that I have ever had the pleasure of beholding; small features, very fair; flaxen ringlets, or rather golden, hanging loose on her delicate neck; and eyes, had they been agreeable in expression, that would have been irresistible: fortunately for my susceptible heart, the only sentiment they evinced hovered between scorn and a kind of desperation, singularly unnatural to be detected there. The canisters were almost out of her reach; I made a motion to aid her; she turned upon me as a miser might turn if any one attempted to assist him in counting his gold.”
Unlike her mother who is scarcely described in the text, Cathy is described in admiring detail by Lockwood. It is quite male gazey.
Cathy Linton is the character who is most frequently described as beautiful and this might be a factor in how healthy she comes off, both mentally and physically, and how positive a character she is. These things are explained in more detail here and here.
Lockwood’s description of her eyes foreshadows how important a role those eyes will play in the narrative later and brings to my mind Isabella’s comment to Heathcliff about how Hindley and Catherine have the same eyes: “Hindley has exactly her eyes, if you had not tried to gouge them out, and made them black and red; and her—”
Cathy not wanting Lockwood’s help shows how distrusting she is of everyone in this period of her life (and can we really blame her?) and how she tries to be strong on her own. This makes how she later retains her strength via her comradery with Hareton all the more moving.
“‘Were you asked to tea?’ she demanded, tying an apron over her neat black frock, and standing with a spoonful of the leaf poised over the pot.
‘I shall be glad to have a cup,’ I answered.
‘Were you asked?’ she repeated.
‘No,’ I said, half smiling. ‘You are the proper person to ask me.’
She flung the tea back, spoon and all, and resumed her chair in a pet; her forehead corrugated, and her red under-lip pushed out, like a child’s ready to cry.”
This shows how little authority Cathy has in the Heights. It also shows how unwilling she is to do anything that she doesn’t absolutely have to. “Her neat black frock” is a clue to her being recently widowed, of course Lockwood doesn’t put two and two together.
The description of her childish expression brings to mind how she is still a teenager and quite young, of course she is moody and rude after such an awful experience and under such dire circumstances.
“Meanwhile, the young man had slung on to his person a decidedly shabby upper garment, and, erecting himself before the blaze, looked down on me from the corner of his eyes, for all the world as if there were some mortal feud unavenged between us.”
I think this is Hareton being jealous of another man having the attention of Cathy.
“I began to doubt whether he were a servant or not: his dress and speech were both rude, entirely devoid of the superiority observable in Mr. and Mrs. Heathcliff; his thick brown curls were rough and uncultivated, his whiskers encroached bearishly over his cheeks, and his hands were embrowned like those of a common labourer: still his bearing was free, almost haughty, and he showed none of a domestic’s assiduity in attending on the lady of the house.”
Hareton’s ambiguous class position is another classic foreshadowing of the revenge plot to come and was probably a sign of how something went really wrong here to the book’s original Victorian readers who believed in clear-cut class binaries.
“Are you going to mak’ the tea?’ demanded he of the shabby coat, shifting his ferocious gaze from me to the young lady.
‘Is he to have any?’ she asked, appealing to Heathcliff.
‘Get it ready, will you?’ was the answer, uttered so savagely that I started. The tone in which the words were said revealed a genuine bad nature. I no longer felt inclined to call Heathcliff a capital fellow.”
Hareton seems to be angry at Cathy as well. This is the first important sign that Heathcliff might be a generally “bad” person, not just a bit misanthropic and sarcastic.
“When the preparations were finished, he invited me with ‘Now, sir, bring forward your chair.’ And we all, including the rustic youth, drew round the table: an austere silence prevailing while we discussed our meal.
I have always found it interesting how Heathcliff sat at the same table with Cathy and Hareton, as @dahlia-coccinea also pointed out in their post on Chapter 2. Cathy and Hareton are not complete Cinderellas. In some twisted way Heathcliff does see them as family. In a way his revenge is making them his family, more than making them into servants.
“‘It is strange,’ I began, in the interval of swallowing one cup of tea and receiving another ‘it is strange how custom can mould our tastes and ideas: many could not imagine the existence of happiness in a life of such complete exile from the world as you spend, Mr. Heathcliff; yet, I’ll venture to say, that, surrounded by your family, and with your amiable lady as the presiding genius over your home and heart—’”
As several critics pointed out over the years, in this passage Lockwood is trying to fit Cathy into the archetype of the “angel in the house” (which is especially ironic after Cathy offended him with her rudeness) and is trying to make sense of this strange family circle through his own cliched ideas about domestic bliss. This rather admiring description of marriage and family also belies Lockwood’s assertion in Chapter 1 about how misanthropic he is.
‘“My amiable lady!’ he interrupted, with an almost diabolical sneer on his face. ‘Where is she—my amiable lady?’”
I love Heathcliff. This exchange is one of my favorite parts of the book.
“‘Mrs. Heathcliff, your wife, I mean.’
‘Well, yes—oh, you would intimate that her spirit has taken the post of ministering angel, and guards the fortunes of Wuthering Heights, even when her body is gone. Is that it?’
This is ironic since Mrs. Heathcliff that is referred to here was Isabella but Heathcliff does indeed desire to be haunted by the spirit of another woman.
Notice how Heathcliff parodies Lockwood’s sentimental language. His entire revenge is partially parodying the actions of the people who hurt him.
“Then it flashed on me— ‘The clown at my elbow, who is drinking his tea out of a basin and eating his broad with unwashed hands, may be her husband: Heathcliff junior, of course. Here is the consequence of being buried alive: she has thrown herself away upon that boor from sheer ignorance that better individuals existed! A sad pity—I must beware how I cause her to regret her choice.’ The last reflection may seem conceited; it was not. My neighbour struck me as bordering on repulsive; I knew, through experience, that I was tolerably attractive.”
So, living here is being buried alive according to Lockwood. Much misanthropy.
The last sentence is just hilarious. He would sound much less conceited if he didn’t need to clarify himself. People who think that Wuthering Heights is devoid of humor or that Emily Bronte was incapable of getting the subtleties of human interactions clearly forgot about this chapter.
“‘Ah, certainly—I see now: you are the favoured possessor of the beneficent fairy,’ I remarked, turning to my neighbour.
This was worse than before: the youth grew crimson, and clenched his fist, with every appearance of a meditated assault. But he seemed to recollect himself presently, and smothered the storm in a brutal curse, muttered on my behalf: which, however, I took care not to notice.”
“Beneficent fairy” lol.
Hareton being so offended at the thought of being married to Cathy is clearly an early sign that they will end up together. He would care less if he were indifferent.
“‘Unhappy in your conjectures, sir,’ observed my host; ‘we neither of us have the privilege of owning your good fairy; her mate is dead. I said she was my daughter-in-law: therefore, she must have married my son.’
‘And this young man is—’
‘Not my son, assuredly.’
Heathcliff smiled again, as if it were rather too bold a jest to attribute the paternity of that bear to him.”
“We neither of us have the privilege of owning your good fairy” I love Heathcliff.
Heathcliff doesn’t take pride in ignorance or brutishness, he sees Hareton’s ignorance and brutishness as things to be ashamed of and is proud of himself for bringing his enemy’s son so low. He does love Hareton on some level, but he wouldn’t want to be mistaken for his father. He doesn’t think that ignorance and brutishness are good traits and he doesn’t want to to be associated with these traits, contrary to popular belief.
“‘My name is Hareton Earnshaw,’ growled the other; ‘and I’d counsel you to respect it!’
‘I’ve shown no disrespect,’ was my reply, laughing internally at the dignity with which he announced himself.”
Lockwood doesn’t seem to remember having read Hareton’s name on the door, perhaps because he didn’t enter through that door this time.
“ The dismal spiritual atmosphere overcame, and more than neutralised, the glowing physical comforts round me; and I resolved to be cautious how I ventured under those rafters a third time.”
Wuthering Heights has “glowing physical comforts”, it is the spiritual atmosphere that makes it a bleak place, not necessarily its physical presence.
“A sorrowful sight I saw: dark night coming down prematurely, and sky and hills mingled in one bitter whirl of wind and suffocating snow.”
A very good and concise description of the situation. Wuthering Heights is really good at setting the atmosphere through brief natural descriptions.
“There was no reply to my question; and on looking round I saw only Joseph bringing in a pail of porridge for the dogs, and Mrs. Heathcliff leaning over the fire, diverting herself with burning a bundle of matches which had fallen from the chimney-piece as she restored the tea-canister to its place.”
Our first porridge!
I like the little details of daily life here. Wuthering Heights is remembered for its dramatic and explosive scenes, but it is also good at conveying character through little details like these.
To my surprise I have found that I could get into these characters in this reread independently of my knowledge of the later happenings in the novel, despite me knowing the novel so well. The misanthropic grumpy landlord, moody teenage girl, the ridiculously delusional tenant, rude young man of uncertain class status, religious old servant... These characters are well-drawn and interesting independently of their backstory that we will later learn about, a novel that is more of this chapter could also be fun and interesting.
“The former, when he had deposited his burden, took a critical survey of the room, and in cracked tones grated out ‘Aw wonder how yah can faishion to stand thear i’ idleness un war, when all on ’ems goan out! Bud yah’re a nowt, and it’s no use talking—yah’ll niver mend o’yer ill ways, but goa raight to t’ divil, like yer mother afore ye!’”
The first mention of Cathy’s mother.
“‘You scandalous old hypocrite!’ she replied. ‘Are you not afraid of being carried away bodily, whenever you mention the devil’s name? I warn you to refrain from provoking me, or I’ll ask your abduction as a special favour! Stop! look here, Joseph,’ she continued, taking a long, dark book from a shelf; ‘I’ll show you how far I’ve progressed in the Black Art: I shall soon be competent to make a clear house of it. The red cow didn’t die by chance; and your rheumatism can hardly be reckoned among providential visitations!’”
Cathy derives her power from her clever words and her love of books.
“Mrs. Heathcliff,’ I said earnestly, ‘you must excuse me for troubling you. I presume, because, with that face, I’m sure you cannot help being good-hearted.”
The belief that Cathy must be good because she is beautiful is related to physiognomy. It is interesting that Emily Bronte has Lockwood say this since Lockwood’s assertions about women tend to be obviously ridiculous, yet she seems to make use of physiognomy in her characterizations. She is probably making fun of physiognomy as something to believe in real life but makes use of it to characterize her characters.
“‘How so? I cannot escort you. They wouldn’t let me go to the end of the garden wall.’”
Cathy is literally trapped at the Heights.
“‘As to staying here, I don’t keep accommodations for visitors: you must share a bed with Hareton or Joseph, if you do.’
‘I can sleep on a chair in this room,’ I replied.
‘No, no! A stranger is a stranger, be he rich or poor: it will not suit me to permit any one the range of the place while I am off guard!’ said the unmannerly wretch.”
Heathcliff has really become a miserly and grumpy man which again runs completely counter to the popular perception of him.
His completely reasonable assertion that Lockwood can spend a night sharing a room with Joseph or Hareton is forgotten by Lockwood because of his rudeness.
“At first the young man appeared about to befriend me.
‘I’ll go with him as far as the park,’ he said.”
‘You’ll go with him to hell!’ exclaimed his master, or whatever relation he bore. ‘And who is to look after the horses, eh?’
‘A man’s life is of more consequence than one evening’s neglect of the horses: somebody must go,’ murmured Mrs. Heathcliff, more kindly than I expected.
‘Not at your command!’ retorted Hareton. ‘If you set store on him, you’d better be quiet.’
‘Then I hope his ghost will haunt you; and I hope Mr. Heathcliff will never get another tenant till the Grange is a ruin,’ she answered, sharply.”
A sign of Hareton’s goodness and conscience and a sign of Cathy’s goodness as well.
Hareton is jealous of Cathy’s concern for another man. (@dahlia-coccinea also pointed this out in their post.)
Cathy and Hareton’s bickering is an early clue to them ending up together, which is why I am always surprised when people say that their relationship came out of nowhere. Like it or not, in fiction when a young man and a young woman share a quotidian and irrelevant enmity or a spar of words this is usually a sign that they will end up together. Yes it is not the least toxic of tropes and went out of fashion in the last few years, but this is the way it usually goes in fiction.
“He sat within earshot, milking the cows by the light of a lantern, which I seized unceremoniously, and, calling out that I would send it back on the morrow, rushed to the nearest postern.”
I like the little details of the farm life that are going on in the background like Joseph milking the cows. Bronte never lets us forget that this is a working farm where things are getting done and she always retains the vraisemblance of her setting.
“I ordered the miscreants to let me out—on their peril to keep me one minute longer—with several incoherent threats of retaliation that, in their indefinite depth of virulency, smacked of King Lear.”
The famous reference to King Lear. It is a rather humorous reference, referring to Lockwood’s threats being moot, which is what I have been feeling throughout the chapter whenever Lockwood mentions that he is on the verge of beating up someone.
“I don’t know what would have concluded the scene, had there not been one person at hand rather more rational than myself, and more benevolent than my entertainer. This was Zillah, the stout housewife; who at length issued forth to inquire into the nature of the uproar. She thought that some of them had been laying violent hands on me; and, not daring to attack her master, she turned her vocal artillery against the younger scoundrel.”
Zillah is positioned as Lockwood’s benevolent savior so far in the narrative, but her hesitation in going against her master is a clue to her pragmatic nature.
“‘Well, Mr. Earnshaw,’ she cried, ‘I wonder what you’ll have agait next? Are we going to murder folk on our very door-stones? I see this house will never do for me—look at t’ poor lad, he’s fair choking! Wisht, wisht; you mun’n’t go on so. Come in, and I’ll cure that: there now, hold ye still.’”
Zillah calls Lockwood “poor lad”, I think Lockwood is supposed to be young and certainly younger than Zillah. I imagine him as someone in his mid to late twenties.
“He told Zillah to give me a glass of brandy, and then passed on to the inner room; while she condoled with me on my sorry predicament, and having obeyed his orders, whereby I was somewhat revived, ushered me to bed.”

honestly I couldn’t help but write this. I wanted to make it a smut but I suck at smuts soooo here ya go. If I get enough asks or comments I may make a Spencer smut. Up to yall!!!!

“Hey Reid?” you called from your desk as you prepared to leave. Reid perked his head up from his seat and made eye contact with you, “I rented this movie and Emily was supposed to come watch it with me but she ended up bailing. You want to join me? I have popcorn.” 
Reid laughed lightly, packing up the remainder of his belongings, “Depends, what are we going to watch?” 
“Some horror movie? I don’t know really, it was Emily’s turn to pick.”
Reid looked at you with furrowed brows, “Wait you two have regular movie nights?” 
“Yeah, every other Friday if we’re off, why?” you asked but already knew the answer. 
“How come I’m never invited?” he pouted, making his way over to you. Out of the corner of your eye you could see Emily and Derek watching the two of you. It was obvious why Emily canceled. She picked a scary movie, which is the one genre you cannot watch and then canceled on you? Plus, she knows that you were going to end up watching it regardless of her coming or not, you spent your money on that movie. You were going to watch it. Nightmares or not. 
“I’m inviting you now?” you teased him, scrunching your nose playfully. Spencer laughed humorlessly and leaned against your desk. His eyes scanned your body for a short moment, but you weren’t going to mention it. Especially not right now where the entire team was listening to your conversation not-so-inconspicuously. 
“Fine, but I have to make a quick stop before I come by,” he told you. You nodded simply as you slung your bag over your shoulder, “But don’t start making the popcorn until I get there. It’s better when it’s fresh.” 
“Yes sir,” you mock him with a salute. Spencer raised his eyebrows at you before shaking his head. 
“You’re ridiculous. I’ll see you at yours.” 
Normally you would watch him walk away, but you had a feeling that Derek, Emily, and Penelope were going to mock you about that as well as (what she can only assume they’re going to call) the date night you just got planned. 
“Got condoms waiting at home?” Derek said as he and the girls ran up to you, trying to make it to you before you could escape. 
“Derek Morgan,” you sighed, turning and looking at your three desperate teammates, “it is a simple movie night. Me and Emily do it constantly and, though I have tried, there has been no lesbian action. So no, I will not be having this discussion with you.” 
The girls perked up at the last sentence, noticing that you had not specified you wouldn’t spill to them, but you quickly shut that down as well, “Or you two. Especially not you, Emily. You knew that I wouldn’t watch that movie alone. You set this up, but I am sorry to inform you that it will not be going in that direction.” 
“You say that now, but I have watched scary movies with you,” Emily teased, “You sure there hasn’t been any lesbian action?” 
Derek and Penelope burst out laughing, but you just glared at her, “You are no longer my favorite. Hotch is my favorite.”
Hotch walked by you with a sly grin on his face, “Oh no, I was listening the entire time. I’m on their side.” 
“Honestly!” you groaned, “Does no one have my back on this?” 
The second Derek’s mouth opened you knew that you were in trouble, but he didn’t get to speak. Instead Penelope cut in and spoke the words you assumed Derek would’ve spoken, “Spencer will have you on your back, does that count?” 
“I hate you. I hate you all,” you huffed as you turned around and headed towards the elevator, “Nothing is going to happen!” 
When you stepped into the elevator, you didn’t see the faces of your friends. All of them had evil smirks on their faces, even Hotchner. If you would’ve looked, you would’ve been scared. But instead you looked down at your phone and saw a message from Spencer:
“Favorite candy?”

When you got back home, you saw Spencer standing at your door holding a few grocery bags. You laughed at the boy, seeing that he was struggling to carry it all as well as his own work bag. 
“Why did you bring your work bag?” you asked with a soft chuckle, unlocking the door and taking a few bags out of his hands. He smiled sheepishly at you.
“Well neither of us had eaten dinner so I thought it would be nice if I cooked for us,” he spoke bashfully and followed you into the apartment. 
“Well aren’t you a sweetheart,” you cooed, setting the bags on your kitchen table, “Anything I can help with?” 
“No I think I have it, why don’t you shower and get changed?” 
You looked at the boy with furrowed eyebrows, “You sure? I promise I won’t poison you.” 
Spencer turned to you, “I’m not afraid you’ll poison me. Let’s just say I’m hoping I start getting my invitations to movie night from now on.” 
You raised your hands in surrender, a small smile on your face, “Alright I’ll shower. And maybe if you don’t poison me you’ll be invited.” 
Spencer rolled his eyes at you, shooing you away, “Go shower. It won’t take long for me to cook this.”
 You wanted to stay there and help or at least stay and continue to tease him, but you decided that it would probably be best to just follow along with his plan. So you grabbed your clothes and headed to the shower. And maybe (just maybe) your friends got into your head and you ended up shaving your legs.

When you left the bathroom you could hear Spencer humming in the kitchen. So you stood there in the hallway and listened, a smile on your face. Something about him and his voice was so intoxicating and pure that it made it difficult for you to push yourself off the wall to join him. But eventually you did. You did because you heard Morgan’s taunting voice in the back of your head. So you pushed off the wall and shook away Morgan’s voice, joining your favorite team member in your kitchen. 
Spencer turned around when he heard you walking in. He couldn’t help his eyes wandering down your body, enjoying the sight of you in shorts and a baggy shirt. When he finally met your eyes again, he smiled a sweet yet shy smile. He knew you saw him checking you out, he just hoped you wouldn’t mention it. If you don’t mention it then maybe the night would play out the way that everyone in the BAU was hoping. Including him. 
Of course Spencer had no idea of Emily’s plan, but it wasn’t too hard to decipher. That’s why he decided on cooking dinner. He wanted her to see that he didn’t want to view this as just another friendly movie night. If you wanted it to stay friendly, then it would. But he wanted to show you that the option was definitely open for more if you wanted. He just hoped you wanted it. 
“It’s almost ready,” Spencer said sweetly, “Do me a favor though? Don’t tell Rossi about my cooking. He’ll probably end up forcing me to learn actual cooking.” 
“I promise I won’t,” you crossed your heart with a childish smile. Spencer watched you with an adoring smile on his lips. He liked this version of you. At work you’re a lot like him. You’re quiet because you have a lot of theories just roaming your head. Thousands upon thousands of random facts packed away in the files of your mind. That’s why the two of you got along so well. You and him are one in the same. But Spencer is like that 24/7, whereas you have this whole other personality outside of work. You were like a little ball of energy and smiles. He thought you were absolutely adorable. But he wouldn’t say that right now, no matter how much he wanted to. He wanted you to be the one to initiate it if you wanted anything to happen. So he swallowed down the words he wanted to say and settled with a simple smile, returning to his cooking. 
“So Emily decided on some horror movie,” you said in an attempt to keep the conversation alive, “I think it was like Nightmare on Elm Road?” 
Spencer snorted, setting down the wooden spoon he was stirring with and turning to look at you, “Nightmare on Elm Street.” 
“Don’t laugh at me!” you huffed, crossing your arms and rolling your eyes, “I don’t exactly like horror movies.” 
“Then why are we watching it?” he asked, moving the food off of the hot stovetop.
“Because Emily already had it rented and I’m weird about renting movies and not watching them. It bothers me.” 
Spencer nodded his head slowly, taking in the information, “Okay, how about this… we play the movie but it’s on mute. We eat, watch the movie, and make up our own dialogue. I have seen it before so I can warn you when you need to look away. How does that sound?”
You looked at the gorgeous boy across from you with a giant smile on your face, “I have to admit that sounds really fun.” 
“Then let’s do it. I’ll make the plates, you just set up the movie.” 
As you walked into the living room you thought to yourself… maybe you should’ve listened to your friends before.

After an hour and a half of coming up with the stupidest dialogue possible for this movie, as well as hiding your face in a pillow when Spencer would tell you scary parts were coming up, you thought that maybe tonight could go the way everyone wanted. Including Reid. You’re smart. You knew exactly what Spencer was thinking and what he was wanting. You also knew that he was too much of a gentleman to initiate anything himself. At first you wanted to mess with him a little, tease him until he begged kind of thing… but when you looked over at him and saw how the sides of his eyes crinkled when he laughed you melted right there. 
“Hey Spence?” you whispered, turning your body to face his. Spencer looked over at you, holding a confused expression on his face at the way you were facing. 
“Yeah?” 
“I know that Derek, Penelope, JJ, Emily- well practically all of our team had set this night up to where we would… you know,” you paused for a moment, taking in the expression on his face. He looked shocked, but you knew he wasn’t actually. Spencer knew you better than to think that you wouldn’t figure it out. 
“We don’t have to,” Spencer spoke quickly before facepalming, “That was possibly the stupidest thing I could’ve said right then.” 
You laughed at the boy, watching as he peeked out from behind the hands covering his face just so he could see your face as you laughed. He was adorable. 
“I know that,” you finished laughing, smiling at him, slowly climbing into his lap. Once you got into a straddling position, looking down at the wide-eyed doctor, you spoke, “What would you say if I said I wanted to though?” 
“I would say that there is a God and that he apparently loves me,” Spencer choked out, his hands moving to rest on your waist, “But then I’d ask you if you were playing with me because there is no way that you want me the way I have wanted you.” 
“And what if I tell you I’m completely serious?” you asked in a near whisper, curling your fingers into his shirt. Spencer struggled to keep down a smile as his grip tightened on your waist. 
“Then I’d kiss you a million times.” 
“Do you promise?” as you asked, you lifted your pinkie finger up. 
“One hundred percent,” he replied, twisting his finger around yours. Before you could say anything else, Spencer unraveled his finger and wrapped his hand around your wrist and pulled you forward. As you came towards him, he leaned forward, extending his free hand across your back and holding you in place before pressing his lips sweetly against yours. 
Suddenly the entire world faded away. All that mattered was the way his lips perfectly curved into a smile as you kissed. There was only raspberry chewing gum and buttery popcorn. There was no BAU. No horror movie. You were in a dark room with just Spencer. That became your favorite place in the world. The kiss was slow and beautiful. There were atomic bombs and fireworks. Everything a Hallmark movie made you believe was real. Everything was perfect, but then Spencer pulled away. You pouted at him but didn’t say anything about it. Instead you brought something else up. 
“I heard you humming in the kitchen earlier. Do you sing?” 
“No,” he chuckled, “I don’t think anyone would want me to either.” 
“I do,” you corrected him, cocking your head to the side, “Will you sing for me?” 
“It’s hard to say no to you when you’re so cute, y’know?” 
“I know,” you boasted, cuddling into his chest, “It’s my special gift. Helps me get whatever I want.” 
“I’m not singing, no matter how cute you may be,” Spencer stated, but he didn’t understand how determined you were to hear him.
“I can change your mind.” 
Spencer’s eyebrows shot up in question, an amused smile on his lips, “Oh really? How?” 
“Let’s go to my room,” you whisper to him, dragging a single finger across his jawline, “If you’re lucky you can hear me sing.” 
Spencer didn’t need you to say it twice. He lifted both of you up, keeping your legs wrapped around his waist, and took you to your bedroom. 
Good thing you actually did have condoms at the house.

You are a character in an anime and ynm are in real life
Williams
( he seems like the type to be into really dense, historical mangas)
He first read a manga featuring you when one of his students left their copy on their desk and he had to overview some students while they were using the presentation room.
He mostly just sat in the first row while the group of teens were recording hamlet for the theater class.
He didn't really took the story seriously so he started reading a lady who was trying to seduce a noble for a few pages, he was about to leave the manga given that he supposed it was a hentai but when you poisoned them with the wine cup he found it interesting
The main character had a set of very strong ideals that weren't so common in the historical context, be it strip nobles and royals from benefits, be a suffragette, or something similar .He ate the manga in five minutes
When he returns home (and leaves the item in lost objects, ofc) he checks online to buy the first volume to see if the background and sort are interesting along with every other volume and official light novel and Novella . He usually isn't home from very early to very late at night so it would be Louis most likely the one who receives the box with the books
"Brother, did you buy a box full of comics" Louis asks from the kitchen after he feels his older brother returning home
" oh? They already arrived? I thought they would be here next week" well Louis always was worries about how his brother didn't have any hobbies aside from teaching at the University so he was happy that he found something else to do with his life
He would ask for a sick day on a Monday or Friday so he could plan everything that was needed at his class that day and spend the weekend lazing around and reading the various volumes and the light novels. That day Louis and albert almost cried of happiness, that was the first time he took a sick day in all of his teaching years to take a break
The type of fan who creates theories that everything is symbolism, how they are ambidextrous to show that even if they intend good sometimes their methods are too extreme or how their hat was placed or the color of their clothes show their political affiliation. Nothing can be just a coincidence with him, everything means something
Is a big pain in the ass about historical inaccuracies, be it dress, manners or social hierarchy being off
" But listen this is the late Victorian era, where is their crinoline??/ They are supposed to be a Victorian dandy and the writer wants me to believe they would wear that? In that society?" williams turned on the lights to his younger brother room while walking in circles as if he was trying to calm down
" Williams it's 3 am. Please I want to sleep"
" Oh and don't let me get started when they crossdressed/dressed as lady northinburg, that tight lacing scene made me so angry" he was dragging his words, Louis guessed he was sleep drunk " how much I hate that, karolina or bernadette would kill those producers if they saw it" Louis simply opted to sleep while his brother was ranting about how the hairstyles were al wrong
When speaking of merchandising he appreciates his mature and elegant reputation so he would buy small things like cute stationery and notebooks and a few pens. Most of them either are about the main character, you, or have the anime title or something similar
A few students think that the professor brings some childish pens in case some student forgets one and he doesn't have to give them his mechanical pencil. He actually uses those pens when he is grading the exams. His notebook annotations look a lot cleaner and are more colorfully bc of the markers and pens
When and if your manga gets and anime he would be 100 percent bitching about how they skipped, if you are a minor character, scenes where you are introduced or you character gets development.
" Oh my goodness, they skipped to this ark? And 'the mask'? In that ark we get the development of many characters, yn, edward, Amélie, Alex. We are absolutely robed of their backgrounds and aspirations and how they are all connected"
" Brother be honest with yourself, you only wanted more animated yn, you follow their voice actor on twitter"
" That is not my point!"
Albert
he was watching it when he came late
Albert usually keeps company to his youngest brother until around 5-6 pm, then he leaves for work and returns around 12 am and eats dinner alone mostly.
When he returns from his job the house is more often than not totally dark so he makes his way to the kitchen and microwaves the leftovers and eats silently.
But one day it seems like Louis or williams forgot to turn off the TV before going to bed, he was about to turn it off but decided that watching something with the tv muted wouldn't wake his brothers up and kept watching.
He didn't pay much attention to it at the start but it became routine, he comes home, heats the food, sits down and watches that show so he grew quite fond of it
How much attention he pays to it depends on the type of plot it has, if it is light-hearted humor he would most likely not pay much attention but laugh when a joke came, one the other hand, if it's a more serious he would find it hard to take his eyes away from the screen
Second least likely to buy merchandising, if he buys it's mostly to wear home, a one size too big shirt for a pj (mostly for the comedy anime) or, if they aren't childish and look professional maybe a pocket watch like the one x character uses ( in the more serious one)
Won't buy the mangas if there are any because he is happy watching the animated version and already has to read a lot at work, but if he is gifted the volumes he will read them sparingly, maybe he will finish one volume every week and a half, unlike williams.
Louis
He spends most of his time home because of his illness and doesn't like to stress too much given that it makes the symptoms worse, he enjoys light hearted comedies or cooking in the victorian era or those typical time travelers who now have to live in different situations than those they are used to
He most likely found it after doing all the housework and being bored so he opted to browse the TV or netflix and fell on one specific serie
If it is a comedy he will listen to it while cleaning or cooking, he feels like he does everything faster and the housework is more enjoyable that way.
If it's a cooking related program he will watch as entertainment after doing everything and to get ideas what to cook, he is always surprised with the recipes that your character comes up with, be them savory ( things he will absolutely do the next day for lunch or dinner) or sweet ( things he will make more sparingly given he can't have too much sugar). I think of mangas and series like the duchess' 50 te recipes or shokugeki no soma
If it the third option he was interested on the alternatives to modern things, like how to make a more natural soap with animal fat and wood ash, or how to use certain plants to help a headache or stomach bug.
With merchandising he doesn't buy much, some kitchenware and some bowls mugs and maybe a tea set that isn't much of an eyesore. Overall he isn't all that crazy over that kind of things if there is a cooking book he will definitely buy it
He, like albert, doesn't care much about historical accuracy and if the events that happen are cohesive, he is there to have fun
Fred
He watched it because he heard his classmates talk about it and wanted to join them but was too scared to bother them if he didn't know anything. Baby has the social abilities of an anxious lobster
He comes home from college and looks the anime up in his phone and, like every broke college student, he watches it from an illegal streaming service.
He gets hooked up and stays all night watching it until his clock snaps him out of his trance and makes him drag his feet to his 7:30 am class
Fred tries and fails to talk to the group so, after the lesson, he drags himself to his room to be miserable alone. It's not until he reaches a certain chapter or episode where you say something that make him think, " if you wish to be loved you must face first your fear to be known" he keeps thinking about it, he didn't truly ever talk to the group, he cowarded before even trying.
The next week at that same lecture he approaches the group and tries to make some small talk
" Oh hey uhm i heard the past class that you liked (maga name)" he was this close to running to his desk and act as if nothing happened
" Yeah! You like it too?" The boy seemed to notice fred was nervous
" Yes! I really like it, what is you favorite character? Mine is yn" he certainly didn't have any favorite one before but after this he thinks your character is pretty good " they are really inspiring"
In terms of merch he is broke so there is none, If he had any money to spare he would buy notebooks and even those chibi statues or funko pops

my col got over very quickly, only lasted like a day and a half thankfully, mask mandates haven't been lifted here actually and i think what i got sick with was not sleeping well enough, letting night dew fall on me (idk if that's a thing outside here but they say that can make one sick) and then spending the rest of the day in the sun bc of a class, also im thankful the cold didnt last long bc i absolutely hate drinking warm water, maybe it's bc im from the coast and it's always hot as balls so i always drink ice water but i seriously hate drinking warm water and i know drinking cold water is bad when one's sick but that's one thing im completely childish about and cannot bring myself to do (sorry for the rant lmao)
camping was really so hilarious, i feel kinda bad for seri bc taesung could not care less about her in that way, taesung on the other hand has his plan working, haebom may not know that taesung is trying to hit on him, but he's falling anyway and re the firewood scene, i do agree <33
im on the floor crying every time im reminded that it's only 8eps, the world is so cruel, at least heartstopper is coming soon and i really do hope we get s2 them being adorable together kills me in the best way possible
at this point i dont have a sleep schedule, i sleep as much as i can, whenever i can *sigh* but im getting a small break soon, two weeks i think to holy week

i havent watched turning red yet bc im gonna watch it with a friend and our schedules havent aligned yet, it's hard to coincide when we're on different majors and specially when those majors are one a trimester career and the other a semester one but everything i've heard about it is good things! i also saw the 4 town in universe guide thingie around here and we laughed bc Jesse having two kids reminded us of the 'theories' that RM is married to that one guy from his pics, and that they have a kid together im laughing as i type this bc skdlfkdfhfjsdf

its not exactly a sequel its more just inspired by(they have the same actors) i havent watched it but its a hindi remake of the tamil film that i have watched(its basically about a guy trying to find solutions for his erectile dysfunction.yes you did read that correctly) . theyre both thematically very different movies with no context dependent on e/o so you dont need to watch but if you wanted to i did hear it was p good.
