I have so much to write out about this and I'll start here — despite the bold and sure-minded way Seki presents himself, he's got a lot to work on when it comes to being a leader. He'll freely admit that — it's not a secret.

What he doesn't discuss about that mindset is a bit more personal. See, the title of clan leader isn't passed down from parent to child, but it just happened to wind up that way in his experience. He was raised in that way where his parents put him on a bit of a pedestal because he was quick to befriend a pokemon ( his eventual leafeon ) and he had a natural leadership among the kids his age. It also helps that he's so wholeheartedly outspoken about his belief in mighty Sinnoh.

That pedestal carried on to the others in the clan, and he was encouraged time and time again to take the position. He leaned into it, finding it a satisfying idea to one day be leader. When he was ready for it, of course.

He lost both of his parents in the same incident ( which also left him with the scars he carries to this day ) and the title was just thrown onto him immediately after. The Diamond Clan needed a leader. They needed someone with the experience and the personal connection to the two they'd just lost — and who better than the son who was told he was meant for it from the start?

The rest of the clan knows. They know not to bring it up too much. Now and then he'll get an assurance that they'd be proud of him, but discussing the events with anyone from the Galaxy Corps, from Jubilife, and Sinnoh forbid from the Pearl Clan — out of the picture. You've got to get to know him before he'll talk about that.

What if fem s/o invited Blitzo over for dinner to meet their dysfunctional family? S/o doesn't have a lot respect for their dad because he isn't emotionally plugged in as he doesn't get it and he made everything chaotic for them along with the mom who is the victim when they were growing up which is why they have self esteem issues along with having poor taste in men as they had 2 broken relationships.

Oh lord, well this sounds fun, I'm a bit unsure what you meant with a few parts but I'll try my best to do the whole "Blitz meet his S/Os dysfunctional family" Schtick. He's dealt with plenty before after all.

Blitzo gets invited by his Fem S/O for dinner with her dysfunctional parents.

He has very awkward feelings on biological family. His own crashed and burned, Got a front row seat to Moxxie's thing with his Dad, and even remembers how dismissive Paimon's treatment of Stolas a little bit. Not to mention Loona's abandoned her or at least left her alone and he's ready to kill em if he ever meets them but that's all beside the point.

Point is he has a jaded view on famlies. So when you invite him he makes a off handed remark, saying he hopes your parents were good ones, he cares about you after all, and when you awkwardly chuckle and stammer at an answer that care turns to concern. "Babe? They weren't... you know, abusive right?"He asks again only stiffening you more.

He never asked about your parents, he keeps his own past and family under wraps so he gives you the same courtesy, if you wanted to tell him that's your choice and sees no reason to push for answers. But the idea that you had anything like he did makes his stomach squirm.

Eventually you explain that while they... weren't perfect, they still tried, especially your mom despite everything and that you'd like him to meet them. He agrees wanting to make a good impression if you've already discussed it with them and the date is set.

You both dress nice, and nervously knock on the door, him putting an arm around you which you hold and your mother answers, seeming to be a very tired but nice and welcoming woman who eagerly welcomes you and Blitz. Saying she's happy to meet him, and that you've told her so much about him

"All good things I hope?"Blitzo jokes but your mother assures that it's been nothing but praise, saying she's glad her daughter found such a great man that loves her so. Blitzo, always loving praise reciprocates the politeness, overall a pleasant meeting.

Your father on the other hand isn't seen or heard until dinner (Which is quite a large meal for one woman to make alone btw)But he comes down once it's done and almost immediately the alarm bells are ringing.

Your father just looks so done with everything and doesn't even smile upon seeing you or his wife, just asking blunty "So this is your new boyfriend?"To you and Blitz, and the look he gives makes chills shoot up Blitz's back.

Still he's still awkwardly polite, same as you oddly enough. Answering basic questions with your mother occasionally chiming in as you eat. It's a awkward dinner, but not unpleasant, most light small talk is mainly between you, Blitz and your mother. Your father rarely asking a question or mumbling in response to whatever you are talking about but then... it happens...

"So what do you do... Blitzo right?"Your father asks, Blitzo composing himself real quick before answering, correcting him on the O before stating the truth, that's he's an assassin who kills people sinners want dead in the living world. While your mother finds that very intresting and impressive, but before she can even finish her sentence her husband interjects with a loud sigh.

"So another daredevil, why am I not surprised?"He asks with a very annoyed tone, earning a glare from you as your mother frowns and Blitz is just unsure what's going on, as your father and you go back and forth with your mother trying and failing to mediate

"He's not a daredevil, he runs an entire busisness for satans sake!"

"Oh he might get more money then most, but still, you just can't keep yourself away from the dangerous ones can you?"

"Blitz isn't dangerous, he's my boyfriend! A very good one, he treats me right, he makes me happy!"

"Well clearly danger finds him, it's clear on his face, how long before he almost get's you killed like the others?"

That's enough for Blitz to shoot up from his seat, declaring he'd never put his S/O in danger and that he'll protect you no matter what, to which your father just replies "They all said that." and before he replies he hears whimpering and turns to you, seeing tears in your eyes as you clutch your arm tightly

"I-I learned from the last times... Blitz is different..."You get out inbetween sniffling and your father just sighs as his wife get's after him, while Blitz holds you close, kissing you on the forehead.

Eventually he interrupts your parents fighting to say your leaving, complimenting the food but certainly not the company as he escorts you out, you staying silent the whole way to the car, him setting you in the passenger seat next to him, and you drive off, him spotting your mother watching from the window, she seemed nice, and deserving of more then her husband but your his priority right now, with you resting your head on his shoulder, still snifling as he drives home.

He's not gonna ask even though he's curious, he just wants you to feel good again, he wants to see your smile, he didn't expect you to have pain like that, but maybe you being so kind despite that makes him love you more he thinks as he wraps his tail around your waist.

When you get home you've already fallen asleep so he carries you to bed, getting you out of your shoes as he kicks off his boots and removes his jacket and joins you. Hoping holding you close makes your dreams stray from remaking tonight, as his often do about his own awful nights. Either way he makes sure your safe the best he can.

Ismael:

She deadnamed him multiple times

Forced him to forgive his transphobic bullies in front of a bunch of students and didn’t do shit when they just kept bullying him

During a parent teacher conference, she just smiled with each insult Ismael’s egg-donor shot at him and even tried to get Ismael and his dad to forgive that bitch

Oh, and she saw his egg donor slap him across the face once while in public, and didn’t say or do shit

Reshma:

Was told to forgive Chloé for ruining a costume she was working on for an upcoming convention

“Suggested” she stop bringing traditional Indian dishes to school because some student don’t like the smell

Didn’t do shit when some perverts were harassing her an pressuring her into kissing another girl she was talking to, and chalked it off as “boys being boys.” (… ‘Kay, then I’ll be an enby and light your house on fire, bitch)

Denise:

Was told to behave more feminine after beating up some guy harassing them

Was told the same thing after picking Simon up

Constantly forced to do any and all of the heavy lifting around the classroom despite Bustier telling them to be more “feminine” (You guys ever have a teacher come into your classroom and ask for some “big strong boys” do help them carry some shit?… Yeah, she’s one of those)

Simon:

Told to set a good example and forgive his bullies for stuffing him in a locker after he refused to do their homework

Pressured him into “helping” some of the more influential students. (Basically do their homework)

Jean:

Ignored when he told her that someone broke into his locker and got paint all over his textbooks, then got reprimanded for not studying for a test

Constantly reprimanded every time he sang a song from a musical, because it was “distracting.” (He only ever sings during lunch break, btw)

Lacey:

Didn’t do shit when some girl cut her once-long hair

Punished her with detention for cutting class when really, she was visiting her parents grave with her brothers

Constantly told to slouch so he wouldn’t obstruct the view of a student sitting behind him (“And there will be no seat switching!”), ruining his back all year

And she blamed him for losing track of his glasses when some asshole flushed them down the toilet, the called him a klutz right in front of people for bumping into stuff

(The nicest thing she’s ever said to him) and that made Armbruster doubt if his mom meant it when she said she liked it, and he cut it short the next day

Austin B:

Caught him wringing his hands after his dad forced him to keep yet another secret of his and told him to cut it out. After the fifth try, she had enough and made Boulet talk to her outside the classroom

When he wouldn’t say anything (Because he’s been conditioned to not say anything), she chalked it off as him being disrespectful and pressured him into finally speaking, not even asking why he seemed so afraid

But when he eventually confessed, Mme. Bustier told him to stop making up stories about such “upstanding citizens.”

Austin Q:

Constantly comparing him to Félice and making backhanded compliments about his work in front of the entire Recess Class

She called him Félice one day and Quinlan just snapped, “I’M NOT FÉLICE, DAMNIT!” And he was forced to sit outside the classroom like a goddamn kid while he cried

Just gave him this look every time he stimmed

Made comments on his weight compared to the other Austins

Was always talking smack about his parents for prosecuting people “who just need love and acceptance” and even tried to pressure this boy into convincing his parents to pressure their clients to drop charges against these terrible people- Wife beaters, child you-know-what, r*pists, child abusers, psychotic rich white guys who kill women of color for sport, people who bomb synagogues and mosques, and more. I would like to add my point of view on Takeomi if it is possible…

I think the character of takeomi was put aside for lack of time and so we didn’t have enough explanations about a lot of things about him 🤔

we see that takeomi resents himself a lot and apologizes to Senju (in the battle with south when he cries) and that in the future his brother and sister work with him, they trust him!

I thought about that" Do you think that kids like the two of them would stay with their big brother, if he were mean?" Like Senju and Haru these kids, they can clearly defend themselves against anyone, I don’t think they would let their brother "take money" has people say or anything wrong.

Maybe takeomi is not the perfect man like idk chifuyu, takemichi or anyone else, but there is always worse! I have the impression that since the characters book there has been a relentlessness on this character because there is a cruel lack of information about him, to the point where some people say things that are sometimes false (I’m not saying that you say false things, I really like all your analysis)

No because takeomi:

- Did not physically hit his brother or sister (unlike Taiju, who in addition to hitting his brother and sister, he does not even speak to them properly he does not even try to be kind)

- he finally helped Senju and wanted to redeem himself from her by helping her for the battle for South (I don’t know the name anymore)

- he really blames himself I don’t know how to explain it but by rereading the manga I saw pages where we can see that he is angry

- he have the fear of disappointing people because we don't trust ourselves is one of the worst feelings! chapter 241 (which by the way was in the period when Takeomi was arrogant because of his power bosom of the black dragon).

- As Senju says. It was Takeomi who raised and took on the role of their father. We all know very well how essential the role of parents is in the education of children, … It is in no way the role of a child to take the place of the parents. This is one of the traumas that a young child can suffer…. So young takeomi who has no experience in the role of parent had to educate his sister and brother... yeah I don’t know but still I know it’s not an excuse but already here there is a problem

Btw the 6 consequences of an absent parent :

Tendency to be more emotionally detached: they struggle to establish strong and lasting emotional bonds.

Tendency to be more insecure: They fear disappointment and abandonment. The fear of abandonment can generate enormous emotional dependence on others.

So yes the akashi family has the problems I mentioned above whether it’s Takeomi, Haru or Senju!

In conclusion takeomi is not a good father and it’s not the perfect brother too but he is a human and I think his character is really realistic for that!

Yeah I think Takeomi was definitely put aside because of time, I'm pretty sure Wakui basically confirmed that in an interview somewhere where he said he wanted to do more regarding Sanzu and Takeomi's relationship.

Honestly it still annoys me that he never actually properly apologises to Senju here, he never says hes sorry. He definitely acts like he regrets his actions but it annoys me he doesn't actually say it (though it should be pointed out there could possibly be a translation error here. And also I'm assuming whether this annoys someone or not is probably dependent on how they were raised/ how they were taught to handle apologies so this will probably annoy some whereas others will see nothing wrong with it.) Though I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt that Senju kinda interrupts so he might've been going to say it.

We also cannot say for sure that Senju and Sanzu trust him in the future, we don't even see them properly interact at the wedding. From the context I'm guessing they do because I don't see why else they would have him as their producer. The only other reason I can think of is that Senju insisted (i think she would 100% trust Takeomi) and Sanzu went along with it for her sake. Though I feel like Sanzu would be more likely to stick up for himself and say no to this as an adult. So I'm guessing they do both trust him. As for if they would stay with him without trusting him, I think Sanzu potentially could for the reason above. And as for Senju she has been proven to stay with him without trusting him in the past.

Though I do believe Senju learnt her lesson from this and had her moment of character growth so I don't think she would go back to doing this again. I do think she would be more likely to call Takeomi out. (But of course who knows if this or anything similar even happened in the good timeline so who knows).

Yes! I really like your point about Takeomi not being perfect, I'm convinced he actually wouldn't look so bad if he wasn't in a manga full of other character's who for the most part do no wrong especially the siblings if we're looking at Naoto, Yuzuha, Mitsuya, Shinichiro etc. Obviously there are bad siblings too though.

Yeah I'd agree that the Takeomi facts you give are accurate. I do think a fair amount of blame should be placed on their father (maybe Grandmother too? Idk if she was physically capable of taking care of them though). A child shouldn't have to be responsible for raising their siblings (looking at you Grandpa Sano).

Yeah I would say his character is realistic which I think makes sense on why people dislike him, he's flawed and we don't actually get to see pretty much any of the good stuff he does. I feel like Takeomi is one of those you either love him or you hate him character's which is a category quite a few of them fall into. The main difference between tokyo revengers other flawed character's and Takeomi though is that the others at least got a chance at redemption or they got something endearing to make them more likeable (think Taiju saving Takemichi, Kazutora's whole redemption, pretty much every panel where Hanma says something funny, hell even South singing in the official art counts. I think this was maybe the best we got for Takeomi?

(I also think his looks could be to blame a bit here, people do tend to be more sympathetic to hotter characters)

Steph's Crew: Missing Pieces

Hey, friends!

So, the dialogues for the first instalment of the Stephanie Saga are complete. I'm probably going to post more Steph-related stuff here in future (maybe not as much as before, though). You guys more or less have the plot of the first book... except for the fact that there's a ton of things that I kind of missed out lol.

(Aside from that, though, there's the fact that a lot of the scenes I shared with you are really really old, and get changed, switched around, or even completely skipped in the story proper)

The story is super dense, since I wanted to include several different themes and discuss many different ideas and perspectives. Because of this, I often struggle answering the question of "what's the story actually about?" Like, there's many topics and themes that go into it, so I'm not 100% sure what the main idea here is (I'd say it's probably about friendship, and by extension, any relationship in life. With anyone, whether it's friends, family, romantic partners, etc. Giving examples of how to handle relationships and maintain strong connections with people, and how NOT to as well).

With all that being said, there are several important plot points in the first book that I didn't really go into in the dialogues I shared with you. I thought I'd briefly outline for you guys a bit, before I started telling you about the sequels!

Here goes...

Rachel and Gordon - I think I touched on this subplot in the dialogues, but it is a whole thing in the actual story. We go into Rachel's history with Gordon, the reason behind their divorce (the actual reason, not just Bret's theories lol), and Rachel's pain surrounding her infertility and desire to be a mother. I guess she kind of gets to be somewhat of a mother figure in Bret's life now that she's his legal guardian, but she's always wanted her own children, you know? She wanted children with Gordon, but they couldn't while they were together (which is one of the factors behind their relationship coming to an end). It's super sad... wish I could've gone into it a bit more, but that's a bit of context as to why things are tense between them in the story. (Things do get better for Rach in the sequel, though! Without giving too much away)

Reggie Ochre - Reggie is an old friend of Steph's that she kind of reconnects with (fun fact - in every instalment in the series, I have Steph reconnect with someone from her past, and they always move the plot forward in interesting ways. My favourite instance of this is in book 3, which I haven't really written much of, but the idea is definitely the most epic lol. I'm so excited about it!), who has joined a gang. His character is cool, and he and Steph have great chemistry together (they used to be a thing back in the day. Because of course they were... I feel like Stephanie has chemistry with almost every character in this story lol. That was in no way intentional, btw). He kind of introduces the theme of gang culture into the narrative, which is fun to explore.

Adam and Grace - I did get into this plot point, but I only really looked at it through the lens of how it affected Elise and the rest of Adam's family. I definitely tried to go into Adam and Grace's POV in the actual story as well lol. I just like getting a wide view of a situation like this. Something I didn't mention, though (which is pretty important), is the fact that Adam and Grace are no longer together. They split up a while after the kids were born (yes, kids plural. Grace had two twin girls). They are still close friends, though, and Adam and Grace co-parent pretty well. Both parents are very much in their children's lives, and they take good care of them. It's kind of interesting to see the difference between Elise's perfect privileged nuclear family dynamic and Adam's family with Grace and the twins. Shows how there isn't a set perfect method for family and parenting, and just because you don't follow all the traditional rules, doesn't mean you can't make the best of your situation and be the best parent you can be.

Holly Tucker - Holly (Bret's ex and Elise's old bully) gets a lot more focus than what I gave her in the dialogues. I basically sped through her storyline, but only through El's perspective. I tried to go into Bret's feelings towards Holly's shenanigans, too (since he is in a unique position... the person he's dating is causing pain to one of his oldest, dearest friends. That's a tough place for anyone to be. Plus, she cheated on him at Dylan's party lol).

Jelise - Jason's crush on El is given more focus. I feel like it lowkey comes from nowhere in the dialogues (aside from this one comment about Jason thinking Elise is the smartest person he knows, we don't get much of Jason's feelings towards her. Or anything, for that matter. But that makes sense, since he's not a crew member. He's more of a funny background character, like his friend Connor, who interestingly has a bit of development in the sequel, actually), but I give him and El more of a dynamic in the story, so you can kind of see something there.

Mary's secret boyfriend - This is actually a super in-the-background thing. But I thought I'd mention it, just cuz I love Mary haha.

Dylan and Robyn - Another background thing, but it's actually relevant to Dylan's story. This dynamic is meant to mirror Dylan's family dynamic. Tons of conflict, not necessarily one person's fault, but instead of Dylan taking responsibility for his end, he blames the other person entirely. His arc is kind of about him learning and growing, and not just shifting blame. Him mending his relationship with Robyn midway through kind of highlights his increasing maturity, and by the end, he's on genuinely good terms with her (and even keeps in touch with her, much to Alice's dismay lol).

Dylan's mum gets married - And Dylan invites the crew to the wedding. They all have a great time, and this just symbolises a fresh start for everybody. They've all grown enough to move on from past pains. All except for Steph, who is still nowhere to be found at this point (symbolising the fact that she never deals with her pain properly - she's always running and hiding from it). This event takes place a little while after Alice's (and Mary's) 18th birthday (where she and Dylan unfortunately decide to just stay friends for now. And this continues into most of book 2. Sorry, Dalice fans haha).

Stephanie's past lives - I mention a ton of times that Stephanie has moved around and been in many different homes and families, but never truly belonged anywhere. In the actual story, we get some insight into her experiences in her past homes and families. Some of these experiences are truly traumatic.... she's been abused, bullied, sexually assaulted, neglected, etc. All of these things have shaped her into the person she is today.

Stephanie and Danny - Danny, her first love. The person who taught her what real love is. Her knight in shining armour. Her ride or die. He gets a lot of focus, too. And he also comes back into Stephanie's life in the future lol.

There's probably some other stuff I haven't mentioned, but I think this is enough for now.

Btw since 911 is on hiatus I decided to catch up on all the other shows I've been neglecting and the first one was Grey's anatomy.

I stopped in the first part of S17 because the whole C0V1D storyline was too overwhelming) and now I decided to catch up with the latest 2 seasons.

I do have a bunch of opinions about the characters, but I will be talking about Amelia because honestly she has been my point of interest in Grey's since season 14. Actually It's kinda funny how my two current favorite characters (Bobby from 911 and Amelia from Grey's) are addicted in recovery (Richard could be there too if the writers didn't make his sobriety a comedic relief sometimes. At least Amelia's sobriety is taken seriously in my opinion)

So talking as someone who loved Amelink in S15-16 and got really sad over how they ended, it's beyond me how it's obvious Amelia is miserable through season 17 dealing with that domestic life. It's so obvious and yet people still chose to completely ignore that when blaming her for how her relationship with Link ended.

"It was the healthiest relationship she had and she ruined it"

Okay, at some point it really was the healthiest relationship (S15-17) she ever had, but it wasn't anymore. That happens, things change. It wasn't helathy anymore the moment she began to feel miserable and wish to drink every night and hide all that feeling from Link, because she knew he loved that domestic life of a house full of kids they were obligated to have due the lockdown. Then the whole part with Link proposing countless times even when Amelia let it very clear she did not want to marry, didn't really help. Like Instead of getting a clue on why he got the first "no" and even bother to ask the reasons, Link just kept proposing hoping she would have changed her mind, even proposing into someone's else marriage ceremony (???).

Also if we're being honest it's not a secret Amelia never wanted that that life for herself as she ran from her fiance in L.A and she ran from Owen because of that "house full of kids" matter. She did co-parented Leo and Betty after her divorce with Owen, what helped her to mature enough by the time she gave birth to Scout, but being able to handle that life isn't the same of wanting that life again.

If we are being frank Scout was completely an "accident" and neither Amelia or Link had any views of being such a serious couple until her pregnancy, they basically only got really together because of Scout. So, they didn't even have the time to figure out what they wanted individually before getting together, and then living together is what really played the effect of them diverging in their views of what they wanted for their life.

Amelia could have communicated better her reasons ofc, but if we think about it she chose to cut it off the relationship instead of deluding Link into "playing a role" in a life she realized she didn't want for herself, and there is no wrong on that. She chose to let him go so he could live that life with someone else.

As Amelia answered perfectly to Jo's (not very appropriate) question of "how do you let go from perfect (Link)?"

Link wasn't perfect for her.

Then we have the whole thing with Kai... Honestly I'm still fomenting my full thoughts on it, I do love the NB representation and definitely didn't like they broke up in S19, but I can't say I'm not appreciating Amelia having sometime alone.

She jumped from Owen to Link and then to Kai with no breath between each relationship at all so it's probably the first time in a while her character is alone out of a romantic relationship and I'm appreciating that fact because it opens space for her to grow more like she has been growing since S14, but I do hope Kai come back at some point.

We didn’t have ‘forged cold’ and whatever back in my times lol, so we made do with whatever outdated terms no one uses anymore XD Because of this, my Megatron does/did have parents, but because I understand some people are very uncomfortable with the idea of sparklings being bred, I am happy to incorporate IDW2′s mentorship (which I happen to LOVE btw) into my RP verses so you needn’t worry about all that biological stuff.

Whilst in my personal AU, through millions of years of technological advances, experiments and overall evolution of their people, they have been able to procreate via spark bonding, birth is not something they have been able to perfect. Simply put, their bodies are not made for it, which is why they still use protoforms. If anyone is interested, I can go over that headcanon, but for now, I’ll skip it. So while the wording of this will be ‘parents’, you can feel free to read it in a mentorship vs actual biological relations if it makes you more comfy :) 

Some of this may be a little vague as I don’t want it to be an entire recap of my series, because I understand if people would like to keep that and my RP here separately, so excuse me if parts of it do sound vague.

Megatron’s parents were, unfortunately... very toxic and the relationship they had was extremely abusive. Megatron didn’t have much of a chance from the start. He grew up in a household that was violent and angry. His father (Puncture) was a drunkard who often took his anger out on him, and his mother (Angra) had a whole lot of other issues. I won’t go into the personal details considering they are more fic related and I likely won’t continue that aspect in my RP verses, but know that she did things to Megatron that no mother should and used her religious beliefs as a means to pretend it was purifying him. This also made Megatron’s relationship with Primus incredibly complicated and ugly, because his views were warped from brainwashing and punishment, as well as forced beliefs. It was a religious household as well, which was not easy for him. 

So from a young age, Megatron was surrounded by violence. He was not inherently a violent individual, in fact, he was a quiet youngster that often kept to himself. He was a mech that wanted to see the world and what was outside of the slums of Kaon’s working districts (yes remember my Megs is from Kaon lol). He was creative, but with little support. It meant Megatron often secluded himself so he could be alone. The outside world was ugly to him, and because of this, he made little friends. He was in no way stupid, he was rather bright, but because of his social awkwardness and lack of support, he did not appear to be overly intelligent. That was overlooked, unfortunately, and his odd behaviour was well noted enough to be assigned a therapist. Unfortunately, this therapist would later also cause lots of problems in Megatron’s future life--he is also the reason why Megatron is distrusting of psychiatrists. 

Unfortunately, Megatron was born (or formed depending on what verse I’m writing in) with an injury to his processor. This went undetected for vorns. However, the physical abuse from his father made this a lot worse, and it’s also what made Megatron’s anger and impulse near uncontrollable. He grew to become violent, and filled with hate. Not just because of the world around him being absolute trash, but physically, he had a defect that he didn’t know about until ages later. Unfortunately, even when they did find out, Megatron’s parents were poor and unable to get the funds for such a pricey and dangerous procedure, especially knowing it may impact his processor in the long run. It went untreated, and Megatron’s therapist said so long as he was on medications to suppress the impulses and anger, he’d be able to function. 

Eventually, Megatron’s anger finally erupted and he killed someone. Due to this, he was trialled and locked away in an Institute because he was clearly unwell, where his life only became worse. His parents abandoned him, he didn’t know how to speak up about what his life was like, he was emotionally stunted due to everything he’d experienced and the only friend he had was his psychiatrist, Gammaray. Gammaray’s care for his patient unfortunately ended up turning into obsession, and he turned on Megatron also, doing awful things to him until Megatron eventually killed him, too (it was well deserved tho... >.>). 

That was a turning point for Megatron, though, because unbeknown to him, Gammaray’s help was in fact making him a lot worse. The relationship they had also turned very toxic, and when he left the picture, he began to heal, or at least, that’s what he thought. Megatron was finally released and he was sent into the world as a functioning mech into the mines where our story begins, or... the comics begin anyway lol, because there’s a hell of a lot more that happened to him before he turned revolutionary and made his rise. :’D

REVIEW

I thought this episode was super good! It had some really funny bits but also some really good heartfelt parts :)). Plus, the cases were good! Anyway yeah, I liked how it all flowed today :)). Some really great scenes btween pairs we don't often see together/haven't seen in a while, and I liked the cases too! Now, time for the individual parts!

Btw, Jerome I missed you this episode 🥰😭. Hole we see my boy again next time <3.

Lol, anyway. Park tine real quick! And then some Morgan :). I CAN'T BELIEVE KELLEN IS 21 😭😭😭. Aaaah that's too old/long :')). Anyway, I'm glad Park gets to go out with him <333. Now, Morgan :)). It was really interesting seeing her decisions this episode! I think she should give herself a little time, for her body to be ready for implantation and such again, and now especially since she's starting that new job. But I'm really glad we got to see her getting a bunch of different opinions - well, several, anyhow lol. Lim, who ended up choosing work (whether that was entirely on purpose or not) - Park, who regrets not spending more time with his son - and Andrews, who despite his mother not being around as much as some others still manages to have a close relationship with her. I think they were all important in her making her decision :). And I'm glad she went with what she did! If it makes her happy and she can do it, I'm happy :). Also if she totally quit that would suck because then we wouldn't have her around anymore xD. But, yeah :)). I'm super proud of her :'DDD ❤️❤️🥰! And I'm really interested in seeing where this storyline goes!

Onto Andrews! He wasn't around much this episode, but he was good for what he was :). Around for, that is. Quick check-in with Lim, offering Morgan that job of course!! And telling Morgan about his mom :). That was a super sweet story too, I loved that <3. Also, I feel like it makes sense a bit for how he is as a person? He's career driven, yk, stuff like that. Not that I think his mom was a bad parent or anything, or that he would be, but yeah :). Anyway, great for the bit we saw of him 🥰.

Lim :))! I'll be honest, I was a bit frustrated with her for not taking much input on the case, but it wasn't that bad :). Everybody makes mistakes, and she still was taking some input - she was just very invested in the patient. Which isn't a bad thing! It just didn't display well here. I am glad that she acknowledged what she missed and was mostly reasonable about stuff, though :)). Plus, she wasn't all wrong lol - and like Asher said, she performed the surgery beautifully (not that I saw it lol). Anyway, besides that, I really did like her advice to Morgan! Each piece, each person's view, had its own benefits, but we know that Morgan often has trouble, or at least has had trouble before, with pulling back a bit. Not being able to get everything. Not like a petty child or anything, just that she's very much driven for getting everything she wants :). But, Lim is a perfect option if choosing - she did, and now it's Morgan's turn (which she obviously did/has XDD). Anyway, I thought it was a sweet scene :). Lim was amazing this episode and did great work (medicine/surgery wise lol).

Now it's time for Glassman :D! I thought he was great this episode :). I'm glad him staying with Shaun and Lea wasn't TOO bad lol - besides The Incident™ -, I was scared of that XD. Seeing all the ways him and Shaun are similar was adorable :'DDD. And him recounting the memories held within that house? 😭😭😭❤️. It meant even more after finding out it burned down too :'((( 😭😭😭💔❤️. I should've been more suspicious XD. But I was just going along with it lol :). Anyway, next time is definitely gonna be r o u g h for him, but he was great this episode :). Also him cooking so much food (and getting the croissants) was nice, and polite :D!

Perez :)! AAAHHHHHH 😭😭❤️🥰❤️!! I'm so glad he's okay, and that he didn't relapse :'). I didn't appreciate him not backing Asher, but I totally get what he was saying. He is definitely in a different situation than Asher is - he's a newer resident, and he's having to constantly prove that he's not an addict. And he is :')). Also, like I mentioned, I loved all those locker room scenes :D. Theyre a good way to see people interacting basically outside of work, when besides Shaun and Lea, we usually don't. Especially for the residents. I think it's a cool look into a different environment (even if it's not that different lol). Anyway, I'm glad Danny did support Asher eventually lol, and I'm glad Lim acknowledged his doing good work as well :))). Also, his scenes with Asher were hilarious a lot of the time XD. The sibling energy was off the charts :). Anyway! That ending was so emotional 😭😭😭❤️. I'm so proud of him, and happy that he made it :')). Or, he did it, I guess :). <333.

Speaking of Perez, Asher :DD! I loved him this episode 🥰. I mean, I always love him (I always love all of them pretty much lol, though sometimes I'm a bit mad at them too xD), but he was great this episode :). I was definitely thinking he should've been more careful talking to Lim (I still do lol), but it all worked out in the end, and he came up with the saving idea :D. I thought his scenes with Perez were hilarious, like I said XD. They were totally acting like siblings lol. I love them <33. And again, I really liked those locker room scenes :). Also, I think it's interesting and fun we got to see Asher's tendency to suck up again lol! We saw it more back when he was a newer resident obviously, and it may not be my favorite thing, but I like the consistency in character :). Even though he was genuinely excited, he didn't have to say it lol, and I think it was that tendency peeking through :). It was cool to see! Anyway, I love him ❤️❤️🥰.

Now Jordan!! I loved her this episode, even if I thought she was pushing too hard with the case. But again, there are certain character traits that, even if we see them less or to a lesser degree, are still there, and this is one of them for Jordan :). Mostly though, I liked her storyline with Lea :D. A) I love my besties :)), B) I thought it was really cool how she has a different view of sex than others! It's always nice to have different perspectives on things, and to display that in shows. Whether she's on the asexual spectrum or not (which I think would be a cool headcanon :DDD 🥰!), it was an interesting situation :). I'm also glad Lea apologized :D, and that Jordan talked about being judged (lightly) for it. That's something that's often overlooked with things like that, or even just opinions that dissent from the common one. Maybe I just relate, idk :). But yeah, it sucks that she did have to deal with that 😭, but I really loved the plot :DD 🥰🥰❤️. And, I love her :D :)) <3!

Now, lastly, Shaun and Lea :))!!! I loved them this episode 🥰🥰🥰. I thought they were great! As I said, seeing Shaun and Glassman's similarities :'D, especially Lea's reactions to them, was so cute :))). And YESSS we survived Glassman STAYING with them xdd - although, it's probably not ocer what with the house burning down and everything xd. And of course, The Incident™. Literally throughout 80% of that scene I had turned the volume down some, half turned away and half covered my view of the screen with my arm, and was saying "This hurts my soul this hurts my soul this hurts my soulllll this hurts my SOULLLLLLL this hurts my soul thi-" the entire time XDD. In short, I was suffering. Probably not as traumatized as them, but still lol. Also Shaun just like 👁️👄👁️ in that scene XDD an icon lol. Anyway, they were just generally adorable this episode :). They were supportive, they were in love, they were polite with the whole Glassman situation lol, they had family dinners :D, and they were just all around amazing 🥰🥰. Now xd. That being said, lol. I am S C A R E D for the next episode xdd. I know they're gonna be fine, but it's gonna hurt like H E C K first xD. Hopefully it mostly get resolved in one episode, though <3 - I couldn't take it if it took longer xD. Anyway, they better be okay 😭😭😭💔❤️. I'm sure they will be, but still lol <333. Also, Shaun was great on the case of course :)). I'm glad he didn't push too much about the sex thing, either - it fits his character but besides that there needed to be an opposite to Jordan :). It wasn't that Shaun necessarily agreed that she should be having sex, he just knee it wasn't his business legally and moved on. So yeah, idk, I liked that :). Not that I would've been having sex that young lol. Anyway, yeah, I loved them this episode 🥰🥰🥰❤️ :DD!!

And very quickly, a special section: Missing you, Powell :'(( 😭. I think it won't be totally weird for a couple of episodes since she was just gone sometimes xD, but I do miss her already :'). You shall be remembered Danni ❤️🥰.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. I thought all the plots were really good, and the cases were interesting. It'll definitely be different moving forward without Danni, but to wasn't too bad today. A bit off, but we made it and I think we'll be fine for the next couple of times too (and after that lol), even when it is more apparent. Anyway, I loved the different pairs we got to see this episode :). Or even not pairs, but just interactions in general - it was really cool and fun to see :D. I loved those different angels that we got! Now, I am scared and very nervous for the next episode, even though I'm sure everything will work out okay lol. I can still be stressed XD! I am excited though :). Especially because some stuff from this episode is bound to come up next episode or soon, like Glassman's house (obviously) and Danny's almost relapse/being at the church. Well, we'll see how it all plays out! But about this episode, I thought it was great, and everyone had a good amount of focus - besides Park lol.

Percy Weasley; My thoughts

Hello! 

This is basically going to be me ranting about Percy Weasley, and I am a fan of this man, btw. There might be future add-ons to this, but idk yet.

So, my boy is around 18, right? He graduates Hogwarts, which is basically equivalent to maybe a private high school. It's not college, but y’know it's a good education. Not enough for him to be running ministry departments only a year or 2 later.

Percy, while he was Headboy and a Prefect, shouldn’t have been able to run that so well. So, we know he’s intelligent and he can manage group stuff.

However, how in gods name did Arthur Weasley, not defend Percy when the imperious stuff came out. Percy should not have been blamed, for not recognizing the imperious. 

For many reasons, which I will list:

1) He did not know the guy imperiled (his names slipping me), for nearly long enough. Even so, you don’t go up to your boss and say they’re acting funny if you wanna keep your job. You don’t, sorry. Plus, the imperio is probably not the thing people immediately jump to when someone is acting weird. It's an unforgivable curse, so we can assume, aside from Death Eaters, it wasn’t used much.

2) Percy has had shit DADA professors. Hell, every one after tom riddle cursed the position probably did. Lupin did a decent job, but that was only one year, and he had his problems, which I won’t get into. So, the chances that Percy learned a proper amount of information is very unlikely. It’s possible that he did self-studying to make sure he didn’t fall behind. That would be in character as well, and we can assume that, but we don't know for sure. 

3) Percy was literally 18, or 17. I don’t know the specifics, but if you’ve met a 17-18 year old, like percy at least, they don’t go denoucing authority figures. Granted, many do, but for people like Percy who turn to authority its not likely. Plus, Molly had been talking, and encouraging - at least one of her children - to go into the Ministry. Why would he doubt the goverment, that his mother so wanted to go into? no reason.

Now. 

Why did Percy leave the Weasleys?

I don’t necessarily think it's because of the differing political opinions. I think it's because of the cracking emotional relationships with his parents, and the toxic relationship with the twins.

Let's discuss Molly Weasley. This is not a bash of her, I love her. She’s obviously a loving mom, and I understand that a lot of the fandom bashes her, as a plot device, but that is not my aim here. 

Molly Weasly just has a very cemented and protective view of how her children should be, and a problem enforcing proper punishment.

By this, I mean that Molly expects all of her children to grow up a certain way- she got into what we’re told is a huge fight with Bill over him growing out his hair, and going to Egypt. She didn’t like when Charlie became a dragon tamer-person. However, Percy did exactly what she wanted him to do. He had perfect grades, got 12 OWLS, and he got a stable, safe job in the Ministry.

In his eyes, Percy had done everything his mom had wanted him to. He’d been the ‘perfect child’. But then Molly’s vision had changed. Now, she wanted them to be on her side, and safe, hidden. 

With her problem of enforcing proper punishment, it’s not that she doesn’t do it. She grounds Ron, and the twins after they go help Harry escape from the Dursleys, and she seems to punish them for other things. However, the punishment isn’t efficient. 

By that I mean, she allows the twins to bully Percy. Before you say, ‘oh it's just sibling stuff’, I’m a sibling. I’m a twin. I have 3 little cousins. Never would the kind behavior the twin's exhibit be allowed. When my cousin tries to steal, or damage something from their siblings, they get punished, and they get scolded, and they learn that what they did was wrong and why.

Molly does not teach this to these twins. She just yells at them. Which does nothing but build resentment, and damage respect. 

 Percy’s reaction is by no means good either. He should learn how to control his emotions better, so he doesn’t explode, but this behavior has been going on for years at this point, with no end in sight.

Molly clearly loves her children, and just wants them to do well, and be safe- however, she doesn’t do a good job of parenting them.

As for Arthur, 

he’s just absent as a parent. He’s in the background. He’s your average 9-5 workman, who doesn’t seem to want to ever stop working. He gives more attention to his job than he does to his children. 

It’s obvious he loves his job, and that's good, that's great, good for him. But it's not an excuse for him to be distant from his children, and leave all the parenting to Molly. he backs the twins up, so they feel justified as if Molly and Percy are in the wrong. 

It divides family up into teams. 

But beyond their less than stellar parenting, Arthur tells Percy to quit, because the only reason he got the promotion was that the Minister wanted to spy on their family.

One, this insults Percy’s capablabilty to do his jobs. The man basically organized the Triwizard Tournament, and sure he was young, but it wasn’t especially weird for him to get that position. Still, this is kind of suspicious, it just should've been approached in a better way.

Two, this says that Arthur thinks Percy would give information about their family- that he would sell them out.

Which is incredibly hurtful.

As for the twins, they obviously treat him like shit. I think they either want his validation, as Percy is a lot more present in their lives than Arthur is, or they want a sort of revenge, I guess. The second reason would be because Percy is the perfect child, who they are endlessly compared to by Molly.

So, yes, while Percy did leave the family, and was by no means perfect, Arthur and Molly, the adults in this situation should’ve done better. Percy was not abandoning the ‘good side’. At the time, he was simply doing what was best for his emotional and mental health as an individual. At that time, he had no idea there was going to be a war.

So yes. Percy Weasley, everyone.

Once again, i'm here being a Theo apologist because it does irks me to see people calling him "selfish", "immature" or a "master of manipulation" (he is not) without much of an argument besides his maladaptive behaviour, which btw, makes perfect sense considering his family/social context and personality.

Theo is a character with many flaws, he doesn't cope well with reality so he uses fantasy as a way of avoidance and protection. His coping mechanism it is, indeed, inmature, naive and self-centered, but that doesn't make him a bad person, that doesn't mean he is doing everything with ill intentions: he is totally unware of his own harmful behaviour.

Theo's family is also not perfect and i really think the way his parents raised him has something to do with his psychological state: you can't just keep your son in a bubble until he grows up, you can't leave your son to his own devices in a different country breaking all his connections in such a early age. Theo had only one friend and that was Akk, it doesn't seem he was very social, he had a rich inner world after all, but cutting that relationship so quickly will clearly have an impact in Theo, I mean, he still was thinking of him in France and described his life there as "lonely". Also, separating a kid from his role models, the people that he looks up to for healthy coping styles, that's just not good. Theo was extremely sheltered of the raw conflicts of the world, this lead him to an idealized version of everything! love! friendship! life! So yeah, this isn't a issue of "Theo is like this or like that therefore evil" He might be rich and all, but y'know? most of the time it's the rich families the ones with more distorted family dynamics, usually involves emotional neglect or in this case, the lack of tools given by the parents to their child to confront reality (the stereotype of the spoiled brat comes in mind, however, Theo doesn't not behave like that in my view).

Let's not forget the big elephant in the room: he was struck with the dead of a love one. His first hit with reality was literally death.

If a totally mature adult with a good set of coping skills can deregulate and get destroyed by the dead of someone close to them... imagine how it must be for someone like Theo, that has none of that.

Besides, Theo has insecurities too! and a lot of them! honestly, it's extremely sad that he doubts of the love of his parents for him, but how can he not? He came from thailand and many people went to him for his status/money, everyone lied to him to keep him "happy", so who says they are not lying about loving him either?

At the same time, Theo being a only child puts a little of pressure on him to keep the family together, the reason why he took P'Sun advice.

Now, why he decided to go with his mom? I would say this is more of an emotional response, he clearly thought it was better for Akk and for his mom (different reasons): he seemed to have a more warm relationship with her and honestly, grieving another person (in the metaphorical sense) wasn't a option. I do think it wasn't the best decision, but considering Theo's character... seems about right. If I'm being honest, for me, he still needs to sort things out and therapy: there's scars left undone BUT at the end, he is getting better and i see him for what he truly is, a person with the soul of a kid, trying to survive with what little he had in terms of coping and guidance.

"Theo the manipulator" doesn't not exists for me and it never will.

Why do I ship SNS?

It is a known fact that when people experience a good media, they like to discuss various things they liked, hated, interpret what the creator trying to say and get something from what they have consumed. Eventually people end up in a shipping war if there are multiple possibilities. 

I started watching Naruto on a whim, hoping to see some ninjas in action with some revenge as a background (after all when you have power, there will always be a revenge). Am a sucker for revenge, btw. I am a person who hates romance in media. Because, every movie, book, novel, series has this same recycled romance plastered into every story even though the story don’t need at all. So, I am very tired of it. Every media portrays romance as something inevitable, necessary and something we can’t live without. That’s wrong. 

Usually, romance goes like this... Person A sees Person B... they hate each other and add some possessiveness, jealousy... they magically gets attracted through some shared experiences eventually... they kiss and make babies. There’s nothing wrong with this. It’s just very tiring as I’ve seen million forms of this same repeated trope. I always cringe and yell “Can you give us something different? Grrr.....”.

And also, my motto is that love can happen with any person. It can’t be restrained into certain boundaries. So, I don’t like to put some relationship under an umbrella called Gay, Lesbian, Straight or whatever. Of course, illicit relationships and incest are not normal and am not okay with it.

With all that being said...

My experience after watching the Shippuden series until episode 478 was “Wait, do they love each other?”. I know am very late to realize this, but I have never even viewed them with any romantic lens throughout. 

On my first watch, I was always under the impression that “They are friends”... But there are certain moments I felt “Wait, why are they doing like this which could’ve been handled in a different way!!” I will get to this later in this post. But those moments were overlooked by me because of my curiosity of “What happens next ??”. 

And on my rewatch, it only confirmed my view. 

The other popular ships like SS and NH put forth many points to invalidate what SNS represents. The most common being “They are reincarnated brothers” or  “They are best friends”. Am just going to debunk them from my point of view. 

Naruto and Sasuke are like brothers.....

Nope. 

The best brotherhood title, in this series, should officially go to Itachi and Sasuke. 

You can argue as much as you want that Itachi mindfucked Sasuke and killed his parents....yaada yaada.... 

It is repeatedly shown why Itachi put a curtain on his own clan. The reason is, Uchiha clan decided to forcefully take over the village. No matter how much innocent you are, you cannot take over something with force. Dot. I will write about this in a separate post.

In short, Sasuke realised how his clan members were wrong after hearing the story from the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju. That’s why he openly proclaimed “I am going to protect Konoha and become Hokage”. 

Back to the topic, Itachi and Sasuke are blood brothers. If I ship them both, then what you claim is very valid. 

The above gif says, “Sasuke, I know, I made a mistake by filling you with hatred. But whatever you decide to do from now on, I will love you always”. Meaning, He stopped treating Sasuke as a kid and accepts that Sasuke has his own path to walk.

This is exactly how brothers behave. I would do the same to my kid sister. You can see a fraternal instinct from Itachi’s eyes realizing that this is their last time together.

Another thing, Brothers trope always has this hierarchy.... Protect the younger sibling no matter what. It is evident from Madara/Izuna and Hashirama/Tobirama.

Not convinced?

If you pull the Indra and Ashura bullshit, let me tell you one thing. Indra and Ashura were separated and formed their own clan long ago. They eventually branched off into Uchiha and Senju clans. No way you can relate a century old blood relation as brothers. It’s just their chakra got reincarnated over and over. 

Don’t pull up an incest angle between Naruto and Sasuke. Because they never shared a womb. Dot. 

Naruto and Sasuke are Best Friends only.

You know what, you are almost right. I thought that for a very long time. Remember I never wore any shipping goggles ON. 

There are two types of best friend categories. Best Friends without a reason and Best Friends through rivalry. 

Best Friends without a reason in Narutoverse are: Shikamaru/Choji. 

They just became friends and became BFF. They won’t fight or hurt each other. But when you have something to share...you would go to that person and share everything honestly.

Best Friends through Rivalry: Kakashi/Obito, Hashirama/Madara, Naruto/Sasuke

I really cannot provide more proof for the first two pairings as Best Friends as it is not the scope of this post. Although the latter two also qualifies for shipping category. Why?

Because, the common thing among them is that all the three Uchihas awakened/reawakened their Sharingan for their best friend. But Hashirama/Madara and Naruto/Sasuke are the only pairings to awaken or evolve Sharingan when trying to break their bonds with each other. 

Special Brownie points for Madara. He had 4 brothers and lost 3 but still couldn’t awaken his Sharingan but when trying to break up with Hashirama, his eyes were brimming red. 

Sasuke’s Sharingan matures in the first Valley of The End.

That’s why I excluded Hashirama/Madara and Naruto/Sasuke from this Best Friends list.

Because to the both Uchihas, the other person meant something special which cannot be comprehended into a mere term called ‘Best Friends’.

Which is exactly why Kakashi/Obito would perfectly fall into this category.

The way they quarrel, fight with each other, protect each other are perfect scores for a friendship. What makes them best friends is when Obito decided to give his Sharingan despite Kakashi was always putting a cold air around him and most importantly asked him to protect his love ‘Rin’. Also Kakashi carried his friend’s will to his heart and passed on to Team 7.

It all falls under ‘In the memory of my Best Friend’ trope.

Obito may be a trash but he is a good friend. Because after Rin was killed, he massacred everyone around him except for Kakashi. He could have killed him. Understandable. Or he could have plucked his Sharingan back (because he literally plucked most of the Sharingans from the Uchiha clan massacre and kept those eyes as a reserve). This could have enabled him to use Susanoo. I believe Susanoo can only be used with Mangekyo Sharingan in both eyes. But for some reason, he didn’t. 

So what makes me think Naruto and Sasuke love each other, not as a brother and not as a friend but something beyond which I can’t term?

My way of shipping is not about marriage, sex and rearing babies. Because literally everyone does this as an obligation. 

So, I don’t ship them in terms of living together in my headcanon and having sex daily. Nope. But it is not wrong though if you ship in that sense.

In this Narutoverse, Women are just some stow away pieces whose sole existence is to fawn over their dreamboy and cry for them. (Usually literally nothing useful comes out of them). Me being a girl, as much as I hate this setup but I have come to terms with whatever it is and have accepted it. If you are a girl looking for a strong female character...... this is not the place. Watch something else. 

But I draw inspiration from male characters who are characterized deeply for which I have to applaud the creator. Reason being, the very first character which I connected with was Itachi. It was when Sasuke thinks about his past with his family in the flashback before the first VotE battle in part I. I will be writing a separate post about Itachi in this week. 

In short, If you are a person who wants inspiration, draw it from male characters. Not in a single moment, you stoop so low for characters like Hinata and Sakura. That’s not how I envision myself or any woman. Dot.

With all this being said, I ship them as a couple who necessarily don’t have to get married or have sex... But they each other has some special allowance towards each other in their hearts which no one can touch, not even their wives or children. 

This doesn’t mean I accept what came after episode 478 as they are literally something they made for $$$$$. 

There are some basic traits which are absolutely necessary for a ship to sail successfully. They are Acknowledgement, Reason, No Hierarchy, Influence, Owning each others rights and Privilege. (All these reasons should come from both the sides for the ship to be worthy)

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Acknowledgement, I mean here, is to accept and acknowledge what they are to each other.

They both agree that they are Bonded/Friends verbally as well as emotionally.

To me, this is essential in any relationship especially for the ones you are trying to ship. I didn’t see this in any other ships like SS or NH where it is always one sided. Sakura confessed before the village entrance to which Sasuke said “You really are annoying!!”. Hinata proposed in Pain arc. Naruto didn’t even acknowledge her confession. He went on to beg for pardon for Sasuke. Again she proposed in the War at the expense of Love Cupid “Neji”. Naruto went on to joke with Minato that Sakura is his Girl Friend. 

If I were in both of these girls place, I would literally be mad and drop this shit right away.

Wheras in SNS, I saw both the people I am trying to ship were asking “What am I to you?”, to which they reply “You are my friend”. To me this is very important.

Reason

To those who are saying “Love is blind”, “Love is Madness”, “Love needs no reason”, you all need self-evaluation. This is not some K Drama situation where you don’t need any reason. You should know why you love someone and why you need the other’s presence.

Naruto’s reason is very simple.

I could provide many reasons. But here, Sasuke, without any reservations... knowing full well of the consequence if he feed Naruto but still extended the helping hand to someone who was always hostile. It is just like what Iruka did. And many incidents which happened during Land of the Waves arc are evident.

He wanted to be friends with this lonely Uchiha boy way back when he was around 7 or 8 for a simple reason that he understands his pain more than anyone. But he really became friends when they were grouped together for Team 7.  

Sasuke’s reason goes even way beyond when Naruto series started.

“Because he felt relief”.

Imagine a young boy who witnessed a massacre before his eyes and lost everyone he loved. But somehow another young boy of his age made him feel relieved. This explains why Sasuke went all out of his way to make friendship with Naruto despite being aloof. 

Isn’t this what we want from someone we love?  

Rather than being completely insensitive about an orphan life or just stalking from the distance and never offered any support, I would prefer someone who understands my pain from their heart and try to reach me. Sasuke reached out to him by offering the lunch and Naruto reached out to him by making him his rival and bug him.

NO HIERARCHY

This is pretty self-explanatory. Unlike blood brothers, there should be no hierarchy in a relationship I want to ship. 

We saw Naruto yells at Sasuke many times absolutely for no reason, despite Sasuke bearing this cold attitude. Probably he is the only person who can call him by such variety of names. 

Sasuke always calls him by his trademark ‘Usuratonkachi’. Sometimes he calls him fool just like everyone. But was never insulting or mean towards Naruto. Except for that time in the final battle, he made fun of his Shadow Clone jutsu citing his loneliness. 

In short, be it a physical fight or verbal offense.... neither of them wilts like a flower. They equally give back. 

The only other person who can verbally assault Sasuke is Karin and probably the only girl who never addresses him as “Sasuke-Kun”. 

U-SU-RA-TON-KA-CHI..... Why do Sasuke spend such an effort to call someone with a 6 syllabic word, instead NA-RU-TO, a 3 syllabic word which is way more convenient to call?? I always wonder.

POSITIVE INFLUENCE

I don’t have to spell out anything here. There are many obvious examples but will try to keep it short. 

Naruto became strong because of Sasuke. He trained hard for 3 years with Jiraiya , a month with Kakashi developing Rasen Shuriken and controlled Kurama’s power with Killer Bee. Except for Sage Mode jutsu everything he learnt was all for bringing Sasuke back. 

In short, Sasuke is Naruto’s predominant strength. 

Though Naruto was not the source of strength for Sasuke, but he brings out many vibrant emotions in Sasuke which he really needed for his traumatic mind otherwise he would always be that cold angry brooding doll without any emotions and I am sure Sasuke enjoys to banter with Naruto.

LOL!!! I don’t know why Sasuke feels competitve here. It’s pretty childish even for Sasuke.

Friendly tease :-) I think he also protected Sakura in this scene. He can also ask her the same, isn’t it? I mean as a friend. 

The best one is yet to come

It’s incredibly hilarious to see how Sasuke pouts when he was with Naruto. Sakura!!!! You third wheeling joker :-D :-D

Throughout Shippuden, Sasuke never shows his emotions with anyone. He either looks very cold or angry.

Reminiscing his Team 7 days, for a split second. 

Probably the only positive emotion is this, in all of the Shippuden. I mean not counting Episode 478.

I don’t think Sakura brought any kind emotions in Sasuke except annoyance when they were together in Team 7. Or Hinata too. These girls just moan “Sasuke-Kun”, “Naruto-Kun” but brings nothing to the table. Total wastrels!!!!!

OWNING EACH OTHER’S RIGHTS

This section is exactly where SNS moves on to a whole different level.

Sasuke wanted to inflict his pain over everyone who lives in peaceful Konoha for what it did to Itachi. (though I don’t really accept with Sasuke here since he never even bothered to question about his clan’s history, but what he was doing is understandable. Just like Naruto tells him).

But the context here is Sasuke is on a murder rampage. Starting from the Kage Summit, killing Danzo, unnecessarily hurting Karin and almost reached a point where he could not be stopped anymore. Then Ms.Annoying appears. She literally have no fucking clue what Sasuke is going through. So started to spout nonsense that she wanted to go with Sasuke-Kun with an ulterior motive to kill him without a strong resolve. 

The interesting SS dynamics here is Sasuke asks Sakura “Do you know what I want?” and to which she gives a carefree-shitty-pathetic answer “I don’t care. I will do whatever you want”. Geez!!!

If I were Sasuke, I would think, “This person standing before me don’t even care about what I want but coming with an intent to kill me and not only that... she is a kunoichi from Konoha where I planned to inflict my pain by slaughtering them.. I better ram my Chidori and be done with it”... He doesn’t see her as his former Teammate. He just want to kill that person.

However, Kakashi deflects the attack and saves Ms.Useless. 

( Me : I am a Sasuke fan through and through. But, Sakura..... You always says you will do this, do that.... But you never succeed at anything... Why is that? Why are you even continue being a ninja? No one asked you to kill Sasuke, you decided to. But why don’t you kill him. Probably you would’ve earned my begrudging respect... Pffft” ****sighs with a heavy second hand embarassment)

Anyways, Sasuke becomes an unstoppable maniac at this point because he was very irritated on seeing Kakashi and Sakura spouting some unreachable nonsense. So he started to attack Kakashi as he is even more irritated on seeing his Sharingan.

Again, Ms.Idiot wants to kill Sasuke when he is at his weakest point due to chakra exhaustion and that too from behind his back. (You!!! Gutless wrench). Sasuke sensed this and attempted to kill her again... (Naruto!!! You idiot. Why did you save her...)

However, Naruto appears and saves her. Naruto and Sasuke’s eyes meet each other.

But somehow Sasuke calmed down and hears out Naruto for what he has to say. He says, “Whatever you are doing until now, it’s understandable”. 

Kakashi wanted to kill him and Sasuke got riled up and prepare his Chidori. Anyways, Naruto intervenes and they go to some meta physical plane and talks privately. And Naruto comes up with his idea and announces as below:

Me: Naruto!!!! Sweety..... Do you realize that you have a big dream of becoming a Hokage which you have been shouting from Day 1? But still you want to overthrow everything for that one person who is in unbearable pain. It’s alright. But you don’t want to go alone or send him alone. No Best friend would go this far. And to those Sakura shippers.... Why didn’t Sakura try to bear the burden? Why didn’t she come up with this Idea? Afterall, you spout nonsense like ‘Sakura saved Sasuke from Darkness, isn’t it?’ And, Naruto.... Who gave you the right to take his hatred and shoulder the burden? And what makes you think you are that only person to do it??? Sasuke, might have other special person in those 3 years. How can you decide on Sasuke’s behalf??? Aren’t you going overboard ?

The answer to all the above is simple, Naruto can risk anything for Sasuke. And he clearly knew that Sasuke’s only living bond is him.

And what happened next was almost unbelievable and for the first time I thought ‘What is it with these two guys?’. 

Sasuke agrees with Naruto’s proposition to not destroy Konoha before fighting with Naruto. 

Me: Sasuke!!!! You have every right to reject his proposition. Since, he was not in your life for the past 3 years, your side of bond with Naruto should have been cut-off long back, right? Sasuke??? Well, at this point he was just your former Team 7 member. You don’t need to honor your proposition. You can attack Konoha anytime. Why did you accept?

Also Me: Sweety!!! Why do you always question Naruto ‘Who am I to you’? Why do you need his opinion always? There is an annoying princess standing behind Naruto vying for your attention. And yet you didn’t even ask her this question at any time. But before Naruto, you completely calmed down from your rampage and willing to wait for what he has to say plus asking for his validation. After all you don’t care about anything, why just Naruto???

And the reason being, Naruto is still his closest bond which he couldn’t cut off despite trying very hard. After all, Many years ago, Sasuke was the one, who readily jumped in to protect Naruto knowing full well that it’s a trap. He was ready to throw away his revenge for this boy back then. Sasuke is afraid that he will give in to this bond once more and Naruto is his weakness which he wants to eliminate so badly.

This is definitely not any Best Friend would do..... Fix that in your mind.

The purpose of these GIFs is not show how protective Sasuke is..... Well, I can talk about it all day. Let’s save it.

Me: Yo!!!! Sasuke..... You wanted to kill Naruto.... You said so yourself under the bridge. Meaning, He is the only person standing between your goal and your resolve and Naruto is always known to weaken your resolve. And yet why are you protecting him here? There is absolutely no need. Because, if there is a situation like Kaguya where both of you are must needed to save this world , then there is a reason to save him. But why now? Plus do you know, if Naruto dies, then Madara’s plan may not succeed because if a Jinchuriki dies, tailed beast also dies. It is perfect for your Revolution, isn’t it? Who gave you the right to own his life? Obito has his reason to kill Naruto, why not let him?Why is it that you want to personally remove him from your life? If he is dead by an external factor, you can carry on your path without any interference and pain. Why go so far to protect him ?

The answer is Sasuke values Naruto’s life more than his own even during his Team 7 days. He has this high esteem for Naruto and almost consider it to be a shame if some worthless fool takes his life. And Sasuke never hated Naruto. He once hated Itachi and his resolve to kill was real and intense. But when Orochimaru asked him to kill 1000 people for practice, Sasuke never killed anyone. He even implemented no kill policy for his team “Hebi”. So, someone like Sasuke who never liked to kill random innocent people, how could he let some trash take away a life, he considers dearly to the same level of Itachi? That’s why in this situation, his body moved on his own to protect something special for him. He may not agree it, but he always shows it.

But some other ship wankers try to say Sasuke may have said “You are annoying” but inside he deeply loved her which is why he was smiling. If so, Why didn’t Sasuke never showed his care not even once? He not only tried to kill her twice when she was defenseless but also let her die twice or didn’t bother at all during the war. Or show me where these soul level connection happened between SS or NH

In short, Sasuke and Naruto own each other’s rights unconsciously. Because they are the only ones who can understand each other’s soul which nobody can reach.

Me: Oh, by the way Sasuke, I think Susanoo should be used like this. You really don’t need your hand to protect Naruto. Susanoo can do it’s work for you. Minato would be proud though!!!!

PRIVILEGE

Most of the points I written above are in and of itself is a privilege they give for each other and not for anyone else. Privilege is essential in a ship. Because it shows how different a loved one is from normal people. 

For Naruto, 

I originally want to put how he begs for forgiveness on Sasuke’s behalf before Raikage and weeps immeasurably before hyperventilating. But this one trumps the other. Naruto literally broadcasted everyone how important Sasuke is to him and how he regretted not offering his friendship at that time and how he couldn’t stop Sasuke from reaching Orochimaru. 

If you want to inspire Alliance shinobi forces, you should have shown how you worked so hard from the bottom to top. Projecting Sasuke as your regret and inspiring people shows how deeply you prioritize this person which affects you after so many years and hence, you don’t want any more regrets. 

It’s very unconventionally romantic which passes the shipping category in flying colours. 

For Sasuke,

The following is the Land of the waves arc which was novelized in the name of Innocent Heart, Demonic Blood released in 2006. 99.9% of the material is exactly as it happens in Manga/Anime. 

This is the privilege Sasuke provides for Naruto. “ But coming from Sasuke, It almost counted as a hug”... 

BROWNIE POINTS:

Now, the following are the scenes which add a mysterious flavour to this ship. I sincerely don’t understand why Kishimoto put this. I mean I am absolutely happy with it, but why? What was he thinking while drawing these scenes? 

It’s also strange that, whenever they clash a Chidori with Rasengan..... They always gets repelled to their own sides and fall with a loud thump. But Naruto’s posture looks very perfect, I mean it looks like someone carried him and laid him down. Anyways, What’s Sasuke doing on Naruto’s side?? He should have fell on the opposite side. Why didn’t he walk away? There is absolutely no reason for Sasuke to come over to Naruto’s side and have an intense meaningful gaze. 

This is another mysterious plus intense scene. I am still wondering, Is this really Sasuke? He is a person who avoids casual touches with anyone other than his brother. I’ve seen so many times Sasuke rejecting hugs from Sakura. I can’t even imagine what Kishimoto was thinking. 

If you people pass these scenes off as Brotherhood or Best Friend chemistry... Then you lack basic human emotions. That’s all. 

Me: Well, Sasuke, If you really want to kill him, you should have shovelled your sword right through Naruto’s vital point when you made that exuberant landing. There is literally no need for you to draw a long sword in close quarters. And what about the Personal Space??? With your speed, you can land without leaning on Naruto’s shoulders... 

Also Me: Yo, Naruto... You were panicking when Sai does the same....but you don’t even flinch when Sasuke invades your personal space????

Anyways, it’s funny that both the intense scenes I have mentioned here were initiated by Sasuke. Quite strange and thrilling.

So, to conclude.... All these scenes I have mentioned  made me unconsciously ship them as a pair. With all these being said, I believe all the ingredients for a good romance were laid perfectly. A moment of impulsive tension or affection, say a hug, between them after a difficult battle could mess with both and make a romance happen. And I don’t think either of them will deny especially Sasuke. 

I don’t see any of this aspect in other popular ships such as SS and NH. If I am Sakura or Hinata in this universe, I will not be okay with my pair doing all these things with other person. I intentionally left scenes from Episode 478 as it is so intense and require a separate post. I am happy that even without Episode 478, SNS ship sails high. So, I believe both Sakura and Hinata are still fourth wheeling their respective pairs in Boruto universe also, I guess.

“I think we should take a break.”

Time stops as you feel your heart drop to your stomach. Your hands are trembling, and you do your best to hide them from view in your lap under the table you’re sitting at in a café. You chose to do this in public with the purpose of wanting to avoid breaking down in front of him, knowing that the idea of strangers seeing you crying was embarrassing enough to keep you from doing so, but heavy tears still line your eyes, threatening to spill down your cheeks anytime now.

Tsukishima says nothing and you look at him to see him looking back at you with hardly any emotion on his face, a shell of the man you’d fallen in love with.

You’re not sure when exactly everything had gone wrong, or if things were even right from the start.

When you had met, you were kids. You had been playing on your neighborhood playground with some other kids and noticed a commotion nearby, turning your head to see a kid around your age getting pushed to the ground by a group of bullies. You wanted to go over and help but stopped when a tall blond boy walked past and seemed to resolve the issue himself. You wanted to become his friend, so that’s exactly what you did.

Even though you went to different schools, you spent as much time as you could with him, and he seemed to enjoy your company just as much. The two of you had spent a lot of time together, occasionally accompanied by Yamaguchi—the small kid who was getting bullied—and the three of you had become a unique trio. As a result, you had been there whenever Tsukishima babbled on about how great his older brother was and witnessed the moment the image of his perfect brother was shattered into a million pieces.

Tsukishima had changed after that, growing distant and untrusting of those around him, including you. As a result, the two of you had stopped talking until high school; you were determined to become his friend again, doing as much as you could without being annoying.

You remember trying to find little excuses to talk to him during your first year and he’d brush you off every time. By the time your second year had rolled around, he seemed to have gotten used to you again and you were able to be bolder in your actions, asking him to study with you whenever you could. To your surprise, he agreed, and you did your best to get to know him all over again. He was still distant, but you started to pick up on little things he did to show that he cared for you.

The first time he had done something like that was when you had mentioned in passing that you’d been unable to eat breakfast because you were waking up late after staying up studying all night long. You had arrived at your desk one morning at school and saw a carton of milk and some bread sitting there. You had wondered who it was at first until Yamaguchi had asked if you received it because Tsukishima didn’t leave a note or any indication that it was specifically for you.

You weren’t sure when exactly your platonic feelings towards Tsukishima had shifted into something more romantic; all you knew was that you began to feel a little shyer and more nervous around him. He was quick to pick up on this, being as observant as he is, but let you take your time to admit your feelings for him at the end of your second year.

You probably should’ve seen the red flags when he flippantly suggested the two of you to start dating without saying that he returned your feelings, but you blinded yourself with the hopes that things would be okay.

During your third year, things seemed to be going fine, but you didn’t have much experience to make reference to. You thought the fighting and arguing was normal. You thought the neglect and invalidation of your feelings was normal.

“Why are you being so sensitive about this?” Tsukishima had asked you once when you had told him that you felt like he was treating you like a chore rather than a human being.

“You haven’t been answering my texts and calls,” you remember frowning, unable to contain the hurt from showing on your face.

“I told you that I’ve been busy,” he had responded with annoyance.

“I’m not asking for much, Kei,” your frown deepened, a sigh escaping past your lips. “I just feel like I haven’t been able to see you much lately.”

“I’ve had a lot of things to do,” he replied. That wasn’t what you wanted to hear, and he probably knew that. “Look, I’m sorry, okay?”

A lot of your talks had gone like this: you’d bring up a concern, he’d fail to understand, you’d get upset, and he’d apologize for the sake of not wanting to deal with the situation worsening; it was almost like clockwork. Part of you felt bad, as if you were a burden, but there were still moments in between these that gave you hope that Tsukishima cared for you deep down.

You’d go on dates every so often, some ending better than others, but you’d enjoy your time with him, nonetheless. Maybe it was because of the pain you felt more often than not that you’d learned to appreciate the good moments more. Maybe that was the problem.

The two of you ended up choosing to go to the same college and you had hoped that the freedom of not being under your parents’ roof would give you more time to spend with your boyfriend. You had been wrong.

Tsukishima found other things to busy himself with and the few times throughout the week that you’d spend together always ended in some kind of argument. You had gotten used to waking up with puffy eyes from crying yourself to sleep at night and keeping your feelings to yourself because you always felt overdramatic for bringing your concerns forward.

It had gotten to the point where you hadn’t spoken to him in over a week. You stopped texting him, tired of seeing his read receipts with no reply. You stopped calling, annoyed by the automated voice telling you that he was unavailable. You stopped going out of your way for him when he had stopped a long time ago.

Looking back, it’s not like you didn’t see this coming; you just didn’t want to acknowledge it.

You’d made a mistake.

You’d fallen in love with the wrong person.

You’d spent so much of your life trying to pour yourself into someone who could never do the same and you were exhausted.

“Okay.”

Tsukishima’s simple response brings you back to your current reality. He looks unfazed and you know that he’s been expecting this too.

“I just have a question to ask,” you say, trying to keep your voice steady. He raises an eyebrow at you, wordlessly telling you to go on. “Did you ever love me?”

Part of you shouldn’t be surprised when he doesn’t respond right away, but for some reason, your heart still hurts.

“I did.”

“When did you stop?”

You don’t want to know the answer, so you’re not sure why you ask.

“It’s not relevant.”

At least Tsukishima knows you well enough to know that the answer would break you no matter what.

“One last question,” you say, exhaling a shaky breath. “Did you regret ever dating me?”

The silence that follows feels deafening.

“No.”

You have a hard time believing him, though you try your best.

“That’s all I needed to know,” you say softly. You hadn’t even realized that the tears had begun falling until you felt them drip onto your hands.

“Take care of yourself, okay?” Tsukishima sighs heavily as he stands up. “I’m sorry.”

You can’t bring yourself to watch as he leaves you alone one last time. You don’t care that there are people around you as you bury your face in your hands and begin to cry as quietly as you can manage. You’re painfully reminded of both the good and bad memories and the aching in your chest only seems to increase.

Despite all this, if you had the chance to go back and redo anything, you probably wouldn’t. You made a mistake, but you were going to learn from this.

You had simply fallen in love with the wrong person.

Y/N re-read the message over and over again, her heart thumping in anticipation at the suggestive undertones it conveyed. It's been quite a while since her and Oikawa began dating, however, with the additional academic load that came with being a third-year student and with his responsibilities as Aoba Johsai's volleyball team captain, the couple barely had time to spend with one another, much to their dismay.

Jumping at the extremely rare opportunity to spend an entire weekend alone with him, Y/N momentarily shifted her attention from her homework and quickly typed up a reply, trying her hardest not to seem too eager at his invitation.

Hitting the 'send' button, Y/N leant back on her desk chair and stared at the night sky beyond her bedroom window, her thoughts now preoccupied with the prospect of finally spending some much-needed alone time with her significant other.

Friday night came faster than she expected. After successfully turning in all of her weekly assignments and enduring an extensive parental discussion on sexual intimacy and the like, Y/N eagerly stood at the doorstep of the Oikawa residence, the remnants of "the talk" she had just received from her parents making her cringe. Having dated Oikawa for quite some time now, this was not completely new territory for her and while she appreciated their parenting efforts, the thought of them having been privy to her dating life had always made her shudder.

The door finally opened and before she could open her mouth to speak, a weary-looking Oikawa swiftly gathered her into his arms, ushering both of them into his home as he did. "Ahhh Y/N-chan, finally! What took you so long?" He whined, burying his face in the crook of her neck.

Reveling in the all-too familiar warmth that both of them had missed, she returned his hug with as much vigor. "Sorry, I got kinda held up back at home. Don't ask why."

Tightening his arms around his girlfriend, Oikawa brought his lips up to her ear, his voice dropping to a mere whisper. "I missed you, it's been too long."

"We see each other at school, Tooru," she teased, refraining herself from shuddering appreciatively at his hushed words.

Oikawa chuckled and lifted his head from her shoulder. Meeting her gaze, he smiled at her tenderly. "You know what I mean."

Despite the multitude of responsibilities he juggles on a daily, Oikawa does his utmost best to balance it with his relationship, yet there were still instances that neither of them could make time for the other. However, the perfect opportunity seemed to have presented itself with his parents embarking on an out-of-town trip for the weekend, and as it aligned with his scheduled day-off from his coaching duties at the Lil Tykes Volleyball Classroom, he was resolute on finally spending the weekend with her to make up for lost time.

And yes...he invited Y/N with every intention to show her just how much he missed her.

Leading her into his empty home, Y/N followed suit as Oikawa headed towards the kitchen. Observing him further as he moved about, she noticed something slightly amiss with his gait as he rummaged around to find her something to drink. "Hey Tooru, are you in any pain of some sort?"

"Well...a little," he admitted sheepishly as he handed her a glass of water. "I guess I was too excited that you were coming over, so I didn't get to properly stretch after training...my lower back kind of hurts."

Y/N sighed and shot him a narrowed look, recounting on all the times she reminded him to take extra care of himself. But, after hearing such an adorable reason, she couldn't bring herself to give him another long-winded lecture on the importance of self-care and instead, an idea came to her. "I think I might be able to help you out with that."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Oikawa watched as Y/N lit several scented candles scattered around his room. Joining him from where he sat atop his bed, she lit the last candle on his bedside table and shot him a gentle smile.

"Yeah, you've been working too hard lately. A massage is the least I can do for you."

The fragrance and gentle glow that emanated from the candles was starting to get to him, and while Oikawa admittedly thought of something naughty when she suggested to give him a massage, he felt himself starting to relax for the first time in a while. "Thanks, just when I thought I'd finally be able to spoil you, I ended up getting pampered instead."

"You need to let yourself be pampered every now and then. So anyway, can you take off your shirt and lie down on your stomach?"

Oikawa heeded her instructions and peeled off his shirt, providing her with a wonderful view of his toned torso. Now only clad in his boxers, Y/N immediately averted her gaze to stop herself from staring as she reached for a bottle of lotion. As Oikawa lay on his stomach, she couldn't help but marvel at the muscles that flexed on his shoulders as he readjusted his position.

Damn it, he's too beautiful, it's unfair. God, I don't know what I did to deserve a man like this but thank you so so much.

Finally composing herself, Y/N rubbed a dollop of lotion on her hands and proceeded to knead the skin on his back, applying an ample amount of pressure on his shoulder blades. As soon as she increased the pressure, he slightly flinched, causing her to cease her actions. "Sorry, did it hurt?"

Oikawa shook his head. "I'm good. Keep going."

Taking it as a signal to continue, Y/N began applying even more pressure as she moved her hands lower, her eyes transfixed on the smooth planes of muscle on his back. As soon as she reached the problem spot on his lower back, Oikawa grimaced. "Y-yeah right there. It really does kind of hurt so please be gentle."

"Got it." Heeding his instructions, she refocused her attention on his lower back, feeling just how tense his muscles were. After gently massaging the area, she slightly increased the pressure as she began using the balls of her wrists. All of a sudden, Oikawa let out an involuntary moan which caught Y/N off guard, her heart pounding rather intensely as her face began flaming up. Trying to purge the dirty thoughts that began to invade her mind, she steeled herself and continued the massage, and unfortunately for her, so did his moaning.

"I was hoping you'd say that," she giggled as she noticed him growing hard once more. Pecking her lips, Oikawa reached for his drawer and rummaged around for a condom. He grabbed one and proceeded to put it on, pulling Y/N up to a sitting position once he was fully sheathed. Despite their earlier passion, Oikawa couldn't help the feelings of guilt that started to well up within him. "Y/N-chan, I'm really sorry that I couldn't make enough time for you. But I promise that I'll keep on making an effort, who knows when we'd have another chance like this?"

Her heart clenched. She knew that his previous break-up was still fresh in his mind, and it was one of the reasons that drove Oikawa to near desperation in always making time for Y/N, fearing that she would eventually break up with him for the same reason. But, she didn't want that tying him down, especially seeing how much passion he had for volleyball and how much he worked harder than anyone else; she would want nothing more than to help him understand that.

Y/N reached over and tenderly swept his hair away from his face, his brown eyes wavering as they peered at her. "Of course there are times that I miss you. But you do your thing because you love it and you work harder than anyone else I know, so I just can't take that away from you. Seeing you work hard and do your best - if it makes you happy, then I'm happy too."

Oikawa's eyes widened as he digested Y/N's reassuring words, his heart overwhelmed with how much love he felt for her. "Y/N-chan..." He managed to choke out, completely at a loss on what to say.

I don't know what I did to deserve someone like her but thank You, whoever You are, for bringing her to me.

"But I swear to God, Oikawa Tooru. You better take extra care of yourself, alright? Or else I'm really going to kill you."

Oikawa couldn't help but let out a carefree laugh at her threat. Pulling his most precious person closer into his arms, he placed a gentle kiss atop her pouted lips. "Okay, okay. I'll keep that in mind."

It's just these random thoughts that pop out in his head like 'i don't mind kissing this guy, if he asks' but not like 'i want to kiss him' yknow what i mean? idk this is just something i experience a lot lmao. it develops to feelings once light falls for him and L can see that. So in terms of ideas, it's L, but in terms of feelings, it's Light.

Oh our favorite light denial yagami. Of course he's cursing himself for having feelings like this but once L calls it out he's over.

Who initiated the relationship, and how did it go?

hmm, they both initiated the relationship? ykwim? They both notices they had feelings for each other and just...go from there. they never have like a relationship talk, they just go with the flow until at some point they starts to get comfortable to refer the other as partners. They basically can read each other's mind, after all.

Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?

Yes, sort of. A tennis game! And a coffee sesh after, just like canon. They plan this to be just "let's just relax, this case has been really exhausting, take a one day break, L" but when Light got home, sayu asked "how's the date going?!" He immediately said "it's not a date, you watch too many dramas it's rotting your brain" And sachiko gave him a smile while shaking her head at this statement and when he's back to his room he immediately calls L and was like "hey does that count as a date?" and L answers with "depends, do you want it to be?" with a smirk that light can hear.

What was their first kiss like?

it was late at night, light was helping L with the case when everybody went home. they were sharing their view about this certain criminal when light notices L staring at his lips, first he ignored it but it happens again and again to a point where their face just got real close and then...kiss, somehow. idk lmao.

First person who can understand each other and are equals, the only ones who can tear the other's wall down, and just practically soulmates in any form that even their sun & moon signs mirroring each other's? YES.

i hc L as just a little bit taller than light, but it's not like you can see it through the hunch anyway. ofc we all know the 6 years and 4 months age gap

Sayu likes L, Sachiko is kinda surprise Light doesn't date a typical pretty person, but it only makes her heart fonder. L doesn't mind them, he thinks they're nice, light grew up in a good place. Soichiro? Well, he might me a bit reluctant but he loosen up slowly, his son is happier than he ever was, after all.

Who takes the lead in social situations?

Light, obviously. Because he's a charmer and if L takes control, the person they speak to would run immediately the first 2 minutes.

Who whispers inappropriate things in the other’s ear?

it is a universal knowledge that L does this. like, come on, count the fics, you can't, there's just so many. he loves to break that perfect wall and make light feel 🥴😳. it's entertaining. But he knows when to stop. too much of that will be embarrassing in light's part, and he respects his boy's dignity.

Light!! The thing is it was said over the phone. He gets more and more comfortable talking with L through calls, since every now and then L travel frok countries to countries. One time he just like "yeah, safe flight. love you, bye" he expected L to say goodnight to him as a response as usual but L was silent and he realised what he just said and realised that he fucking mean it. L seems to still be able to read his mind even thousands miles away so he replies with "i love you too, goodnight". they never missed seeing each other more than that night.

we had a discussion for this! but as we see in canon, they're both very acts of service with a little hint of physical touch here and there. quality time is also important. words and gift aren't really needed for them.

L. Only to annoy light. It's terrible that he almost cringed to himself, but it does bring a good laugh for light.

How often do they cuddle/engage in PDA?

PDA is a not their preference, they just love being in private more. They might hold hands sometimes, butmost times they won't. Altho they always stand or sit reaaaaally glued to each other even though there are so many space. 

Who initiates kisses?

both. they want it, they got it. but light gives light kisses (ha) more, not necessarily on the lips, usually when L was really busy working, keeping his feet on the ground.

Who’s the big and little spoon?

They don't spoon a lot, they prefer not touching at all or cufdling face to face, but when they do, Light is the little spoon because being a big spoon makes his sleeping position kinda uncomfy, he feels awkward with his legs, it's just not. thankfully L thinks cuddling light this way is very calming.

What are their favorite things to do together?

Tennis and solving cases, duh. Or sometimes they play video games fighting each other. Anything competitive and/or challenging that make their brain grow 10 times bigger. But sometimes, a comfortingly peaceful and quiet dinner with hushed words thrown here and there about random things feels like the best thing ever.

L. For identity reasons, ofc.

Do they prefer verbal or physical affection?

Physical. They can read each other's mind, they knew it by gesture, touches, and glances.

IT'S MY TIME TO SHINE. venus by sleeping at last fits them so well, that song is in the background of multiple cozy couch smooches sessions or even when they're slow dancing (please listen to this tho song it's so good). also i think they would like persephone by the tragic thrills too, L would be like "this song reminds me of you" and Light answers with "i'm persephone?" "Yeah" "i'm a fucking badass then" "yes you are". oh and first day of my life? lover of mine? pink in the night? sweet creature? the lakes? oh god i have too much answers

What kind of nicknames do they call each other?

they don't do nicknames, really. although, L sometimes called light with some snarky tony stark styled nicknames when he feels particularly playful but annoyed at the same time.

They both do. Big brained assholes they are.

It's not really a proposal, they didn't  even remember who said it first. But one sleepy night after a hard case, someone said "hey you wanna get married" and the other was like "sure, why not" "really?" "yeah, i think i'm ready, you?" "me too" "great" and then they go to sleep. at breakfast the next morning L called watari from across the room and said "wammy i need you to prepare [enter marriage stuff here], and light, you must call your family after this". poor old watari chokes on his tea.

What’s the wedding like? Who attends?

The wedding is in a secluded little place near the wammy's house, L used to go there a lot as a kid. With just light's parents, sayu, and watari. Well, not until Light caught Mello, Matt, Near, and Linda peeping from the bushes

A chunky cat the wammy's kids feed daily but never try to keep them in, because no animals are allowed inside the orphanage. L saw it and was like "light let's bring this bitch home" she is, indeed a little bitch, but light and L loves her dearly. her fur has light brown and black colors, like both of their hairs, so she becomes their daughter, L gave him a weird ass name but i can't think about it rn.

Who kills the bugs in the house?

Light because he's the one who's actually bothers to. They ofc annoyed L but he cpuldnt care less to actually get rid of them.

Who’s more likely to convince the other to come back to sleep in the morning?

L. He rarely sleeps and once he did, he wakes up very fucking late and will pull light back to the bed if he's woken up by the empty space beside him.

Who’s the better cook?

Light. L is a spoiled brat. But Light can't bale for shit, that's Watari's job. Light grow up learning and helping his mom making meals for the family. He's not the best, but it's good enough to make L craves them in between his sweets.

None of them. But they would slow dance on rare, sentimental occasions. And it's like so fucking romantic bcs all the lights are off except for a candle or a table lamp or a cabinet lamp whatever that has yellow-y dim light. Suffocation. It was like your air was being cut right from you, like you were fighting just to breathe. All you could do was inhale and exhale big deep breaths as you tried to calm yourself, attempting to slow down your racing heart beating against your chest. But it was no use; you still were as overwhelmed as you were since the day started.

“Are you ready?” Yaoyorozu asked, her tone laced with excitement as she was overjoyed for one of her closest friends on her big day.

You mustered up a smile, the corners of your lips quivering as you attempted to seem merry. But Yaoyorozu saw right through you as she frowned at your expression. “What’s wrong? You don’t look so happy?”

“It’s nothing, I’m good.” A lie; there was nothing exciting about this day for you.

Mina creeped up from the other corner, fully dressed as she was more than ready to head out into the ceremony. “Are you scared about getting married?”

You shook your head. “No, it’s nothing like that.” The girls decided to not pry any further as they did their best to help you get fully dressed as well as help your other friends.

For most people, a wedding is one of the most exciting and exhilarating days that could happen in one’s life. Although each culture does their ceremonies differently, there is still something to celebrate as a couple vows to spend the rest of their lives with one another.

But you had other views on weddings.

You met your husband to be when you were both in high school in U.A. While Bakugou was in the hero course, you were in the support course and your paths would cross as each respective course would often mingle with one another. The minute you laid eyes on Bakugou, you were immediately fascinated. His quirk was impressive and you wanted to ask him a million and one questions just to understand how his quirk worked and the repercussions his body faces as a result of overusing his quirk. 

With this fascination, you would pester him as you thought you were interested in his quirk until you slowly realized you were actually interested in him. Being as bold as you were, you decided to ask him on a date. You surprised him with your dauntless proposal so he shocked you by agreeing. Even more surprising, Bakugou actually enjoyed your company outside of the classroom and the rest was history as you had been dating ever since.

After graduating from U.A., you both broke off into your respective professions, Bakugou with pursuing professional heroism and you deciding to become an engineer and create support items for heroes. You were both idolized as the perfect duo by the media, your professions working hand in hand perfectly. And six years into your relationship, Bakugou proposed to you which you practically screamed out ‘yes.’

Like a majority of young women in committed relationships, you were ecstatic to be able to spend the rest of your life with the man you loved. But on the other hand, you and Bakugou both had mutual feelings toward wedding ceremonies: they were just a waste of time and money. Something about hosting a grand occasion to show off how in love you were just seemed like overkill and you had no intention of hosting one. You and Bakugou agreed to be registered as a married couple in Japan through the usual paperwork until both of your parents were strictly against this decision.

Your parents and Bakugou’s parents, especially his mother in particular, wanted you to have a traditional wedding. Leading up to the ceremony, you fought with your mother, voicing how you had no interest in partaking in the wedding but it was like you were speaking to a brick wall. Bakugou tried reasoning with Mitsuki as well, at least his version of reasoning, but this resulted in Mitsuki nearly bringing the house down from her rage.

So here you were, forced against your will to be officially married in front of your family and friends. 

“Are you all set?” Uraraka asked as she entered the room. She gasped at the sight of you. “You look so beautiful, Y/N!”

You smiled gratefully at her. If there was one thing that came out of this whole thing, it was that you at least got to dress up for once instead of being covered in grease and sweat from slaving away at your day job. “Thanks, Ochako.”

The door opened and your mother entered, making you want to groan internally. “Ladies, please wait outside.”

The girls nodded, waving at you as they expressed their words of encouragement as they left. Your mother’s fake smile lifted from her face the minute you were alone with her. She proceeded towards you, smoothing out a crease in the front of your uchikake. “So you’re still acting like a child about this whole thing?”

You had to prevent yourself from rolling your eyes, not wanting to hear her start complaining about that, too. “You would be acting like a kid, too, if you had to do something you didn’t want to.”

Your mother snickered, grabbing your hand to practically drag you out of the room as the ceremony was about to begin. You froze in your footsteps, coming to a halt. “Could you give me five minutes? I need a breather.”

Your mother sighed, already fed up with your antics and the day had barely begun. “Fine. I’ll be back here in exactly five minutes.”

You nodded, letting out a sigh in relief as she finally left the room. You made your way to the large mirror in the room, frowning at the sight of your perfectly painted face. You readjusted your headdress on your head, poking your cheeks as you dragged your lips upward into a smile. It was so hard to make it seem like you were happy.

As you were about to make your way out the door and join your mother, the window slammed open. You whipped your head towards the source of the sound, confused to see Bakugou casually propped onto the ledge of the windowsill as he was latched onto the outside of the wall. 

“Katsuki?!” You exclaimed, rushing over to the window without tripping over your feet. “What’re you doing? You can’t be here!”

Bakugou scoffed. “You think I was gonna let our dumbass folks make us do shit we don’t even wanna do?”

He leaned over, grabbing your arm and hoisting you up on the windowsill. “We’re getting outta here.”

Before you could express your disapproval for this idea, as not only were you going to be carried around in your boyfriend’s arms as he attempted to maneuver around with his quirk keeping you both afloat, your mothers were going to murder you once they realized the bride and the groom had left their own wedding.

“Hold on to me,” he commanded as he dropped down into the air. Your voice was caught in your throat as you gripped your arms around his neck, only his right arm around your back holding you as his left arm blasted you both through the air.

“You’re insane!” You screamed against the wind.

Bakugou smirked as he blasted through building after building. “Not as insane as you are for agreeing to marry me.”

The flight you were forced into taking was one you never wanted to experience ever again. Somewhere along the way your headdress had flown away and your perfectly pinned hair had been tousled and became a mess. You nearly puked at the thought of being lifted hundreds of feet in the air with only your fiance’s arm keeping you from falling.

“Y/N, open your eyes,” Bakugou chided.

You shook your head vigorously as your eyes were still screwed shut and your fists held onto Bakugou’s black kimono. “You’re trying to trick me, I know you are!”

“You idiot, we’re not even in the air anymore.”

You opened one eye slowly, peeking as Bakugou had landed atop of a building, both his arms  now carrying you. You gasped as you released your grip from Bakugou’s clothes and you settled down onto the ground.

The sight of the sky painted in purple and orange hues as a result of the setting sun was dazzling to see. The buildings from afar were starting to light up, showing how long you and Bakugou had been basically flying through the air, not to mention your wedding was supposed to take place later in the evening.

“It’s so pretty!” You squealed, leaning against the railing of the building’s rooftop. 

Bakugou walked beside you, looking out at the sight along with you. “Do you even know where we are?”

You turned to him. “I thought we were at some random place? Didn’t you land at the first building you found?”

Bakugou rolled his eyes playfully. “How are you the smartest woman I know but also the most fucking dense one, too.”

You narrowed your brows at him. “You don’t have to be rude about it.”

Bakugou smiled, wrapping his arm around your waist as he brought your body closer to his. “Think a little harder.”

You turned to face the view once more, your eyes roaming around to find something that could help indicate where you were. Finally you located the arch with your alma mater’s name on it and you gasped. “We’re at U.A.?!”

“It’s about damn time.” Bakugou looked down below him. “A lot of shit went down at this place but at least I met you.”

You grinned, nuzzling your face into his chest as your makeup stained the fabric of his kimono. “You’re so cute, Katsuki.”

“I’m not fucking cute. I wanted to get as far as I could from that fucking place,” Bakugou said, taking back his previous statement as he spoke about the religious center your ceremony was supposed to take place. “I’m not gonna let our old hags tell us how we’re gonna live our lives, especially when we’re finally starting a new one together.”

You nodded in agreement, chuckling a little. “Guess we’re starting out our new life together as runaways?”

Bakugou smirked, looking down at you as he planted a kiss on your forehead. “I don’t give a fuck where we go from here, as long as I’m with you.”

My Take on TLOU 2

Warning: Major spoilers for tlou part 1 and 2 below!

Before I start: None of my criticism is meant as hate against anyone who loved the game. This is just my personal opinion, if you liked it or feel differently than me, that’s completely fine, to each their own!  Also, this is solely about the plot, not the gameplay, the scenery, the graphics etc. because those were unarguably breathtaking and incredibly well done. Either way, here we go:

• Starting off with the elephant in the room: I absolutely hated that they killed Joel. I hated this so so much. 

1. The fact that they killed him at all Killing off a main Character is rarely the right call and it most definitely wasn't the right one for tlou in my opinion. Joel and Ellie’s father-daughter relationship and its growth was what made the first game so special and by killing Joel, they killed a whole lot of the game’s essence already. Plus, and this is a personal thing, I (and I am 100% sure lots of others) loved Joel as character, which makes killing him off even worse. ...which lets me come to my second point

2. How they killed him First, the fact that they did it so very early on in the game. I spoiled myself on accident and knew he was going to die way before I even started the initial game but I can say that I was entirely shocked that it happened at the start. I thought it might be done towards the middle, which would have at least given us some time with him and a possibility to say “goodbye” in a way but instead you get very few moments with him at the start and then his death. That’s it. That alone is a punch in the face for anyone who loved this character and the first game. Then, they make him save Abby only for her to lead them into an ambush. I was also very confused that they made Joel follow her without questioning it, sure this one is debatable, but after years and years of being a hardened survivor, do you really think he would just trust a random stranger? He grew softer, sure, and he also grew to trust people more, but not enough to just follow a random stranger who said they had a whole ass group without questioning it at least for a moment. He didn’t even seem to be just slightly wary and to be honest, that just seemed unnatural to me.  The brutality of his death is another punch in the face. Abby tortured him, for god knows how long. She first shot his kneecap off and then tortured him until he laid paralyzed on the ground, blood overflown and barely conscious. They did that to a character the whole first game lead you to love. Then they make Ellie come in to watch Abby give him the rest with a fucking golf curb while she pleads for his life. Sorry but what the fuck? We’ve seen Joel survive so fucking much, he’s survived being impaled by an iron rod for fuck’s sake and took out whatever people threw at him and he dies like that? Without even giving him the possibility to fight back? There’s so much going on in my head when I think about that moment that I honestly can’t even put all of this into words.

• I get that this all was done to set up the remaining plot and honestly, that was the next problem in my eyes. This whole story revolved around a revenge plot and how much you have to stop this circle of revenge. To me, that’s more of a predicable and overused plot but that might be a personal thing. My problem is even more that they made the whole story about this and that it felt like a severely forced teaching moment / moral of the story type of thing that lasted for 25(?) hours. I’m not against teaching moments per se, that’s not the thing, and I wanna be clear about that but I hate it when its a. forced b. way too obvious and feels unnatural, and to me that was the case in the second part.

• Now about 1/3 through the game, I didn’t want to completely give up on it yet. I thought/hoped there might be a chance for me to even somehow like it in the end. So I wanted to  stay open and for a little I could still see that there was a bit of the essence of the first game left. I loved the cut scenes of Joel and Ellie so so much. I can’t emphasize how much I adore them. They did a great job with them, really. The scenes at the museum are pure perfection and they honestly made me despise the fact that they decided to kill him even more. I will never get over Ellie putting the hats on the dinosaurs and Joel, and I will surely not get over his gift to her. This guy went out and searched his ass off to find her a cassette with the first moon-landing, just to be sure that he has the perfect gift for her. This is beyond adorable. I’ve rewatched these scenes so often already and they honestly get me emotional each time. These scenes felt like the first game again, they gave you that cozy, warm feeling when you got to watch their relationship grow. I also loved the guitar shop (or their way towards it) cut scene, it kind of conveyed what I would’ve wished for for the entire game. A good bunch of action and horror when they have to make their way through but it still has the essence of their relationship and their story when they discuss the teenager’s deaths.

• In short, I really really wanted to see more of these cut scenes and kept on hoping for more until they switched everything up and a cut scene for Abby started. 

• I already expected them to try and make Abby look better or made the thing she did to Joel kind of “understandable”, especially because I’ve seen that there were people who really started to love her character. So I kind of expected something big to happen. To me, it didn’t. So her father was the surgeon that Joel killed. Sure she hated Joel (fair enough, he killed her parent) but is that enough for me to understand, excuse etc. what she did in Jackson? Fuck no and that has several reasons. → Joel didn’t kill (nor fucking tortured!!) her father because of something small, like a few supplies etc. he killed him because he literally was about to kill his adopted daughter for a vaccine that might have not even worked out. He killed him to protect someone. Also:  → Her father moreover visibly seemed to doubt that he would do this procedure if Abby was the immune girl, which is pretty much hypocritical bullshit. → Abby’s father didn’t give a shit about Ellie too, he could have let her wake up and make a conscious decision whether she wanted to do this, he didn’t. He just approved of killing her → He threatened Joel with a surgical knife  → He would have stayed alive if he would have let Joel just go with Ellie / refrained from killing her  So this honestly didn’t make me feel for her, this only made my rage for her grow. She had to know that Joel killed her father (and prevented the vaccine) because he didn’t want this little girl to die for something that might have not even worked. Then, he saves her ass from a sure death and she still decides to torture him to death? There was not one moment of doubt in Abby, not one and what makes it worse is that she doesn’t show any remorse about what she did at any time during the game

• I really hoped that they would stop after this but they really made you play all 3 days as Abby, the same time as Ellie. They really force you to play as character who has killed and brought so much pain over the characters you grew to love (probably as an attempt to force you to like her after seeing her side). So instead of using these hours to give you time to play with these beloved characters, they give it to her. Sorry but that’s bullshit. 

• Besides this, it also absolutely threw off the pace of the plot. You just wanted to know what happens to Ellie now that Abby on top of it all also killed Jesse (!!!) and instead you get thrown back to square one. • I’m not interested in her weird love triangle with Owen and Mel, I don’t care how she got from Salt lake city to Seattle and I don’t care about her work out program. All these plots just frustrated me more tbh.

• Now, I wanna add that I tried to ask myself if I would’ve liked her if she hadn’t killed Joel and honestly, I’m 100% sure I wouldn’t. I just really don’t like her personality. All this time she just seemed bitter and boring, moreover she repeatedly said that she helped those others for herself and to top it off, she also fucked a guy with a pregnant girlfriend (fuck Owen too btw). So again, how do you expect me to like her?

• I did like Lev and Yara. Honestly, if naughtydog wanted to do something so very new, they could’ve just made a whole story about Lev’s struggles within this post apocalyptic community. That would have at least been interesting and wouldn’t have fucked your favorite characters over, just saying.

• Now flash-forward to the scene back at the theater. Abby’s just killed Jesse, she’s got Tommy hurt on the floor and then you’re forced to play as her and hurt Ellie? Fuck that  (Also, the way they had Ellie walk around in that scene? C’mon that’s not how she’d walk around a room while she’s searching for her enemy)

• This thing kind of leads to one thing that wraps up a lot of the end well, Ellie was panicked and broke down when she realized that Mel was pregnant, Abby said “good” when Ellie plead for Dina’s life and said that she was pregnant. I’m not saying that there’s a general difference between Ellie killing people and Abby killing people, it’s obviously shit either way but there’s a clear difference in how they handle it. Ellie is clearly distraught while Abby stays cold, and after everything (also everything else I’ve mentioned) they still wanna make you sympathize with Abby and be angry with Ellie for doing all this. A lot of the game is set up to this (at least that’s what i felt like). Just one example: Abby plays fetch with dog, Ellie is forced to kill dog (also, weird how you’re just forced to kill dogs when you play as Ellie and not Abby, huh?)

• While naughtydog tried to make YOU (as well as Ellie, honestly) see all the different points of views they make Abby entirely ignorant to it, without any remorse and still try to make you have sympathy for her. She does not try to be insightful regarding what she’s done to Joel and see Ellie/Joel’s side just once. She actually mentions that Joel deserved much worse and suggests she did everything right in Jackson. This ignorance and complete lack of remorse...I think this is one of by biggest problems with this plot. Also, that very last attempt to make you feel for Abby when she’s lost her bulk and stand at those pillars? Really? Kinda cheap 

• Again, I get where they wanted to go with the story. I get that they wanted to show that you lose everything when you just seek for revenge and that the circle needs to be broken, but it was so one-sided in the end. Both, Abby and Ellie lost a lot, but Ellie loses absolutely everyone and Abby still has Lev. Ellie loses even two fingers, which doesn’t even allow her to play guitar, which is another fucking punch in the face. It was more about letting Ellie face the consequences instead of Abby and to me, that’s just the wrong call to make after the entire first game lead you to love her and Joel. So, it felt dissatisfying to let Abby go in the end. I get why they did that but it felt like this whole journey was for absolutely nothing. Especially after they ripped her from a life with Dina and JJ to go back to hunting Abby down. She lost everything and didn’t even get to end it. 

• Generally, what this game did...I don’t think that this is something you do with beloved characters. You just don’t do them completely dirty and they did so with Ellie and Joel. People loved this game majorly because of Joel and Ellie’s story and relationship and were excited to see more of it in the next part and they screwed those people, their viewers and players, completely over. You don’t have to be a complete viewer pleaser, don’t get me wrong, but you also don’t need to completely shit all over them. After all, these are the people who buy and support your game, it’s just not fair to them.

• This might be a personal thing but I’ve seen so many creators ruin good stories just because they wanted to do something super creative, edgy and entirely new with it. 99% of the time that goes horribly wrong. Don’t get me wrong, you have to do new things to keep it fresh but at the same time you cannot lose what made a story special in the first place. You have to make sure to keep the essence of the story alive and at the same time do something new with it. Unfortunately, i feel like the creators of this game didn’t even want to keep this essence alive, they just wanted to do something entirely new and they belong to the 99% who managed to ruin it.

• You know what I would have loved as plot for the second game? If they would have let Ellie explore that her life can mean something and matter even without a vaccine. The first game even perfectly set the second one up for this. Resolving Joel and Ellie’s conflict + making Ellie realize that she’s more than just her immunity + a new adventure...that would have perfectly continued the story. It would have kept the essence of the game going and mixed it with something new. Now, they pretty much ignored how Ellie felt about this part (except for two cut scenes and a tiny bit here and there) which was pretty much her main issue since she got bit. The last cut scene with Joel and her outside...it just made we wish so much that they got the chance to properly talk everything out. And by now, I kinda just pretend that everything after this night didn’t happen.

• So honestly, I’m just very disappointed and upset. It felt like they were mostly just trying to prove that they had the balls to pull a plot like this off, to show that they had the balls to kill a beloved main character and have you play with their killer.  Sure, that might be ballsy and bold, but to me, that’s not what good story telling is about. Good story telling is not a game of “my dick is bigger than yours”. But maybe that’s just my opinion.

And there’s one more thing: Happy endings aren’t always bad, lazy and unrealistic And depressing endings aren’t automatically creative, deep and good I feel like that’s something a lot of creators don’t realize
