on my way to ramble about fiammetta because autism be damned and it will do good to see me talk about another liberi on this liberi blog

she's a character i already used to appreciate with the little content i saw of her in her operator records and code of brawl, so i was really interested in guide ahead to understand more of her and mostima and ohhh boy this bird is full of separation anxiety

I particularly love that what drives her anger is her hatred for Andoian for hurting her friends, despite that her friends are actually pretty chill about it She's not even a victim of what he did and yet she's the only one out of the three who can't stand him And why? because she's not a Sankta, because whe can't feel the empathy Lumuen and Mostima were able to feel Andoian and they understood his intentions, and while they're still bitter about him because, well, he fucked up, they could feel that he was geniune Fiammetta doesn't, and she can't understand her friends neither, so all she saw as a Liberi was that someone she used to trust attacked the people she cares about

the reason of all her anger is precisely what Andoian talks about, but she still refuses his claims in a world where it wasn't andoian who did all of this eight years ago, maybe she would have listened to him

But at the same time she's very religious and influenced by the Sanktas as if she was one of them, she was raised by one So in her mind, there's NO way she could blame them What Andoian says goes against all she got taught and believes in, so she puts the blame on him

and now she's here, following Mostima absolutely everywhere and being her overseer because she's scared that Mostima might be suffering from her Fall even tho Mostima seems to not give a single fuck about it and that she's completely alright but Fiammetta is still scared to lose her, this event deeply influenced her and she's now depending emotionally on her, despite what she tries to show

Mostima and Lemuen could try to explain her but she wouldn't understand, she's just blinded by her own rage and fear And they're not to blame, not their fault is they're Sanktas and she is not, they can't do anything about it

I still think a LOT about what the Gun-Knight told her in her operator record, "It's not Mostima who needs you, it's you who needs her"

to be quite honest klance with altean marks lance is actually 10000x worse than allurance. it’s like the purest distillation of “yeah allura was there and she mattered but only as she relates to klance.” at least with allurance she’s an actual character & an active agent in the story (albeit an ooc one, in my opinion). you people drawing your post season 8 old man happily married klances where lance has the mark of his dead girlfriend—a mark he literally only got bc allura was killed off by the writers in a truly astonishing act of misogynynoir—is like…laughably obtuse. i’m not saying it is racist or immoral to do this but i am saying that the combination of factors surrounding it should make you kind of uncomfortable and embarrassed and you could simply choose to. Not.

hellooooo ive made a uc fankid oc <3 more about her under the cut, so that this post isnt a mile long <3

her name is Dyllin, because i had to, and shes SO cute. Shes got a little lopsided grin, and one dimple, and the cutest smattering of freckles on her nose right where her fur starts to turn pink. Both Rian and Atty are trans, so they raised her gender neutrally until she could tell them who she was herself (thus atty using they for her in that one art), and when she was about 3 she said she was a girl and now she wears all the pretty flowy dresses she can get her hands on (uncle foq supplies many of them)!

in the art above shes: 14, 16 (colored in), 19? (lines), ambiguous age younger than 3, 5?, and also 5. I think that ill mainly draw her as a little kid or around 14, cause those ages are where more interesting dynamics happen with people. Lots of funny kiddy moments, and growing into your own person moments. Which! is what im about in fankids! beyond just drawing a cute kid and having fun with design (which im also all about but just to give an explaination for why im drawing her at those ages). I dont think i want to go into adult ages for her yet, cause for the moment its about her being a fankid for me.

She takes after Chet and mostly Foq much more in personality than either of her actual parents, so shes a very carefree happy-go-lucky kid. To Rian's absolute horror (see below, for their rage at finding out), Foq flounces his way into being a archfey and becomes her warlock patron when shes a little kid, but its alright Aunt Scenda is her cleric deity so shes got a balance for his chaos! (she doesnt balance shit but it does make rian not kill foq over the pact so! whatever works!)
