An extra biblically accurate Baron Draxum and Master Splinter! These guys were very hard to figure out. Draxum really doesn’t look sheeplike, so I went with a Cameroon sheep as inspiration because they have red wool and long dark hair on their necks. Rats are super smooth, so it was hard to make Splinter look wrinkled. They look completely different, but I suppose that’s the point!
:D I suddenly felt compelled to redraw the panel. Miss Touden you are my muse
Lineart + original panel under the cut
I mean, look at the improvement from one drawing to the other, Ryoko Kui’s art makes me think hard about anatomy + physics and it feels really good to draw :3
CW: BLOOD, IMPLIED CANNIBALISM, REALISTIC HUMAN HEART & GORE
Also the heart and drink are highlighted with Baker-Miller pink. The history behind this color is so interesting- it’s supposed to be a calming color and it is for the first 15-20 minutes. It invokes a feeling of bliss and unbelievable calm but once the effects are over, the negative returns at full force-worse than before. It causes aggression, rage and distress.
It’s a wonderful reference for a cannibal. You eat and eat to bring yourself a feeling of euphoria but once reality sets in all you can think of is what it took to gain this meat and how you’ve desecrated yourself and everything the flesh has touched.
