HIIIII JULY!! Thank you for asking!! I have. so many thoughts abt these dumbasses.

The fic itself, sitting sadly in my drafts is mostly some good ol smut in the desert in which the Sheriff has finally caught up to Papyrus, ties him up and is getting ready to bring him in when he convinces them of one last rodeo (smth smth, save a horse, ride a cowboy). The reader accepts and they fuck but get sorta angsty about it and reminisce a lot, because as it turns out, they have history ✨

Pap proceeds to untie himself while the reader is sufficiently uhhh distracted, and ties THEM up. This is when Sans shows up to "rescue" his brother, and they go riding off into the sunset while the reader curses them out LOLOL

Anyway, the Backstory is that once upon a time the reader and Papyrus were set to be married at one point- they never got to go through with the ceremony, and the reader left town for a few years to try their hand at making a fortune to support Paps, who had been training to become the deputy of their town.

In the time the reader was gone, the town got bought over, and became a company town which was then mostly abandoned. So when the reader finally returned with a modest fortune, the brothers had both disappeared and were presumed dead.

The reader then goes off and becomes a lawman, intending to find out what happened to their beloved, and in the process becomes pretty well known. Eventually, they come across a pair of trainrobbers that nobody's been able to catch before and well... that's where the reader finds out that Papyrus is alive and well, and has known that they're alive and well but hasn't contacted them.

Cue drama! Cue longwinded chases which culminate in the dramatic showdown mentioned at the beginning lmao. Also, in the background is Sans annoying a short, grumpy rancher.

After sitting down and actually trying to write my thoughts into a coherent fic last night, I’ve come to the conclusion that I need to leave meaningless comments on fics more often.

Like, it doesn’t matter that I can’t think of anything meaningful to comment, my favorite writers deserve at least some damn heart spam the way they consistently make these fics that make me happy. Writing is hard.

I can now vividly imagine them typing away and pulling up tabs full of synonyms and agonizing over the frequency of their verb usage. Rereading the same paragraph over and over for ways to make it convey the emotion that they understand in their head but can’t quite get on paper.

That doesn’t compare to the feeling I get when I open the comments section and then chicken out because I don’t have anything substantial to say to them. It doesn’t take me much effort to leave a comment full of heart emojis or emotional keyboard spam, but I think they’ll appreciate it?

I think I’ll do that now. I’ve always been hesitant and too scared about leaving replies on the internet, but I really do want to support the people that write about my favorite guys.

Though would writers mind if I left comments on years old fics that I stumble across nowadays? Is there a manual somewhere about what ppl like strangers from the internet to do when they like their old stuff??

i am very attached to the idea that, post AQ with her body no longer being in physical stasis, furina gains a few curves. nothing too drastic given that she'll always be petite, but some weight on her thighs and hips and a healthy glow worthy of a human who is no longer cursed and forced to bear the weight of an entire nation on her shoulders and is given all the sweets to eat by her loved ones always because she deserves them
