hey mim! i don't have really any poetry books at my house but ive been wanting to get a few. do you have any suggestions or ideas for what i should get? i don't have that much to spend so it'll only be a few books, and because it's a few im wondering if you have any favorites or anything you consider essential to have. asking because you have really excellent taste and i personally mostly read indivual poems (by usually really never the same author) rather than any sort of collections or whatever.
hello anon 🌹
I think if you can tell me which of the poems you've read that you've loved the most I can help a bit more but otherwise, if you are prone to reading individual poems more so than a single collection, then a poetry anthology is a v good thing to have at hand! Ones I've really enjoyed are A Book of Luminous Things: An International Anthology of Poetry (ed by Czeslaw Milosz whom I love), The Ecco Anthology of International Poetry (ed. Ilya Kaminsky whom I also adore) and Staying Alive: Unreal Poems for Unreal Times--the latter is part of a trilogy which includes Being Alive and Staying Human, as well as a fourth volume which brings together different poems from the three books, and might be a good way to experience the trilogy if you're on a budget!
Otherwise I don't have essentials, only ones that have really spoken to me--this may be different for you so I would def recommend testing the waters a little by finding some poems from the following poets online--I've probably posted a fair amount of them on my blog, too, I think--and see how you feel about them. In any case, some collections I've really enjoyed were: What the Living Do by Marie Howe, Sonnets and Elegies by Rilke, The Half-Finished Heaven by Tomas Tranströmer, Poppies in July by Sujata Bhatt, Devotions / Felicity by Mary Oliver, Bright Dead Things by Ada Limón, View with a Grain of Sand by Wislawa Szymborska, Concerning the Book That is the Body of the Beloved by Gregory Orr, Tell me / What is This Thing Called Love by Kim Addonzio, Deaf Republic by Ilya Kaminsky, A Tree Within / A Tale of Two Gardens by Octavio Paz, Almond Blossoms and Beyond / Memory for Forgetfulness: August, Beirut, 1982 (Mahmoud Darwish), Selected Poems by Paul Eluard
Also, and I don't know where you are in the world or how much books will usually cost there so this will depend on availability etc, but I do think a good idea for when you're trying to find books on a budget (and which is what I did at the start and STILL do), if it's something feasible for you, is to try and locate any secondhand booksellers near you and spend some time browsing the poetry section if they have one. Take your time with them, leaf through a few, or read a handful of the poems and see what speaks to you (it's also a good way of stumbling across something you may not otherwise have discovered).
I rarely, if ever, order my books off am*z*n but I'm also lucky enough to live in a place with very good access to secondhand / independent booksellers so I know this isn't always feasible for everyone. But if you are ordering your books online, and if their selections fall within your budget, I highly recommend world of books or better world books -- again, I don't know where you live or how shipping / delivery costs would work out for you but they're a very good place for secondhand (and new) literature at a lower price if you don't have access to those in person. I hope some of this helps, but again, please feel free to come back and tell me what some of your most loved poems are or if there are uniting themes / styles in the poems you enjoy most! I hope this helps in any case and best of luck, anon 💗

Hello! I keep browsing the tavstarion tag and asks from you blog keep coming up, and every time they do I enjoy the hells out of reading them. All the Astarion asks got me thinking though, and as I'm in the process of writing a fic, I figured I'd ask your thoughts (out of curiosity).
First thing's first: I understand Astarion's trauma responses are very... prickly, for lack of a better word. My question is how you think he would deal with a Tav who has a very people-pleasing response. For example, focusing entirely on anyone else's problems and completely neglecting their own, or only being able to say "no" when in such acute distress that they physically cannot give any more.
The second part (because I am guessing his response, based on how he's reacted in-game and also from reading your analyses) is how he might react to learning that that people-pleasing response is because of trauma they went through, either in their teens or young adulthood. How might that recontextualize some of his earlier assumptions? Do you think he would have any mixed feelings?
I wanted to write a Tav that's internal and solitary, who thinks they're "over" the trauma that happened to them. I thought the dynamic of someone who's been coping for years and has distance in comparison to Astarion who literally only just got out of his situation was interesting.
Hiya dear!
I'm happy you like the asks, haha, although I must admit hearing that they're very noticeable amongst the Tavstarion things is making me self conscious! 🫠
When it comes to people pleasing - or fawning, as it's also called - I think we can all sort of guess how Astarion would react. The boy isn't secretive about his displeasure regarding all things "noble" and I'm sure that, at first, the respect he holds for your Tav will be very low.
The thing is: When we see someone whose initial response is to fawn, we don't automatically default to trauma. Most people are far more likely to just view them as a really good and kind person or, especially in work settings, as a suck up. It takes time to realise that, hey, maybe Jeff from accounting actually just can't say no.
I don't think it will be different with Astarion. (In fact, out of all the companions, Wyll might actually be the most likely to notice that your Tav is having a hard time saying no.)
Depending on your Tav's general attitude, Astarion might default them to yet another kind hearted do-gooder that runs around the world with childish naïveté and that? That is a sitting duck.
To act 1 Astarion, kindness relates to weakness.
And weakness is something he can exploit easily.
As we all know, Astarion craves safety, which is why he latches onto Tav to begin with. And if Tav's someone who others listen to AND who seems easy to manipulate? Fuck yeah. That's an in if he's ever seen one.
If Tav is prone to saying yes to anything and prone to avoiding conflict, he won't even need to do much to get them to do his bidding. The right words, some puppy dog eyes and a hint at what he wants done, and they'll go and do it without protest. Add a couple of compliments, and he'll have them wrapped around his finger. That is exactly what he needs to be safe, and he'll not be shy of making use of it.
And I think it would be somewhat amusing to him, to see Tav try that hard to make everyone happy because he, quite plainly, doesn't get it. He doesn't understand why someone would care that much about others because to him, his own survival and happiness is what matters the most. Everyone else be damned if necessary.
(Just a tad bit presumptuous, seeing as he himself tends to salute and follow orders at the cost of his own personal boundaries if the person he deems the leader demands it - i.e. the Araj Oblodra bite - but let's let the poor guy have his delusions.)
Once he grows closer to Tav, his former amusement will likely quickly turn to frustration. In Act 3, we learn that Astarion is extremely loyal and, apparently, rather protective.
Part of why he insists on ascending for so long is not just for him - he wants to be able to protect Tav, and he thinks his spawn self is not enough to accomplish that. (This is highlighted by the fact that romanced Astarion is much more insistent on ascending than one you're only friendly with.)
Tav is important to him. They're his person and watching them bend over backwards for everybody and their mothers prostitute before thinking of themselves is probably not going to sit well with him.
He doesn't care about other people, but he cares about them, so he wants them taken care of.
BUT Astarion is not versed in the art of caring for others, not the best at communicating - he's trying, we can see that over the course of the game, but it'a process that takes time - and he is very prone to frustration, so I wouldn't be surprised to see his worry mostly expressed through sniding remarks, sarcasm and arguments.
Once he realises WHY Tav is the way they are...well, that is a bit difficult to pinpoint down, because it has a lot to do with his own mental state at the time. How he views himself and his trauma will reflect on how he views them.
An act 1 Astarion who is still very raw, very afraid and very much in pain might be somewhat disgusted and deny the very obvious similarities between the two of them.
Tav was hurt. People had hurt them and yet they're still trying to appease everyone. They're always doing whatever anyone asks of them without hesistation, even when they clearly shouldn't. How much of a pushover can one person be? Don't they have any self respect? It's pathetic.
It sounds cruel - it is cruel - but, in th end, he's not truly talking to Tav here. He probably sees part of himself, the part that jumped when Cazador said so, the part that listened to every order just so that he wouldn't have to suffer. He sees the part of him that grovelled, the part that gave up.
The part he hates the most.
(Fun fact: My least favourite state of healing to work with, because clients can actually be really difficult during that time.)
A more stable Astarion, however, could actually reevaluate a lot of Tavs behaviour. He might see them less as a naive child and more for what they are: Someone, who's trying to live.
They don't want to get hurt again, so they try to not offend anyone. They'd rather be stressed and tired and overworked than suffering again. They're not uselessly kind, they're not stupidly selfless - they're scared.
What he does with his body, they do with acts of service. They're protecting themselves in the only way they know how.
That realisation could somewhat mellow him and, most prominently, it can give him a sense of community.
It's a bit difficult to explain, but people who have experienced abuse and are now in the process of healing might start to experience a sense of community with those who had similar fates. Not in the sense of: "Let me bare my soul and dump my trauma onto you now - so when I was 12, my dad..." but in a very specific, comfortable way.
It creates a sense of understanding, if you will.
It means that the other person understands, even when you don't say anything. You don't need to fight; to explain yourself - they understand. They might not understand all of you, but they understand enough not to let it cloud their judgement. You'll be alright and they understand.
So Astarion won't need to tell Tav every little thing, he won't need to explain every reaction, every misbehaviour, every slip up. He won't need to fight for his right to be quiet, sad, angry or sulky.
He won't need to explain because even if he doesn't, they'll know that he has his reasons, and they'll be there when he's ready to talk.
Anyway! Those two options are really just a few of all the reactions he could potentially have, because, as I said, it's so hugely dependant on where he is mentally and how he views Tav, himself, his past, etc... It's really difficult to narrow down properly.
The dynamic you have chosen is really, really bursting with potential - both for drama and healing - and I hope it's as fun and rewarding to write as I imagine! ✨️

Reader (a boy if possible please) who has bad anxiety and ptsd and gets nervous with loud noises but feels safe around Eddie and the Hellfire Club because they're his comfort people?
(Also your writing is amazing and I adore it so much 🦇🖤)
Hi there! I'm happy to give it my best effort for you! Thank you for such sweet words. I hope you enjoy this!
Eddie Munson X Male Reader.
CW: Anxiety, PTSD.
Send me request here! Currently writing for Eddie Munson. I write for a variety of reader inserts (male, female, gender neutral, POC too).
Feel free to look through my masterlist here!
__________________________
It all starts when Eddie drops by the school's library before heading to the cafeteria. He needs a browse through a first aid book for part of the campaign that's resuming later in the week. In all honesty, he doesn't really need to read through the book. He can based on the rolls say if it pases or fails but he wants to have a few more extra details in his pocket so he can really set the scene.
So it lands him there, in the library, tracking for the dewey decimal the librarian wrote down for him along the walls. He finds the book finally, cracking into the table of contents to see if he can find the section he wants faster that way. He does and travels over to where he knows the tables are.
When Eddie plops himself down, he winds up sitting right across from you. You don't fault him sitting there. It might've just been the closest table. His head is pretty buried in the book and he seems engrossed. So you only watch for a moment until he starts to reach for something but clearly doesn't have it.
"Shit," he whispers.
"Need something?"
"Christ, dude, you've sent me into cardiac arrest," Eddie huffs, hand grasping at his chest.
"Sorry. You just, uh, looked like you needed something," you return.
"I-I just need to jot some notes down. Forgot my bag consider it's lunch and all. It's not really a big deal," Eddie returns. He's got a decent enough memory.
You flip to a blank page in your notebook, tearing out a couple sheets and slide him a pencil on top of the college ruled line pages. "Knock yourself out."
"Oh, thanks," Eddie's smile is quick and he scribbles down the notes he's needs, including a quick, and to Eddie, sloppy diagram of the ankle wrap and tourniquet.
"Is-is someone hurt?" you ask. You don't mean to pry. But you catch sight of the page he's on and think maybe it might be worth something to ask at the very least.
"Oh, uh, it's not anyone real. Just in a game." The more surface Eddie can keep it, the better he thinks the interaction can go.
"What sort of game?"
"Dungeons and Dragons," Eddie returns softly.
"A player's trying to do it?"
His gaze narrows over your face but he takes in the genuine tilt to your head. "I have a feeling it's going to come up. I know it's really just a pass or fail, but I want-want to be able to describe it right."
"So you DM?"
"How the fuck?"
You laugh. "I've read up on it."
"Yeah, I'm the DM."
"Best of luck--to you and your players if you want this much accuracy."
Eddie laughs. He is a bit brutal of DM at times. He likes to make it count for his party when it really needs to. He's still compassionate when he can see them struggle, when he feels like it's right for him to remind them that in the end it's all a game. It's real stakes and they're passionate people, but they are not perfect. Luck won't always be on their side and it's okay if they hit a few walls and walls hit back.
The conversation seems to naturally dissipate as you turn back to your books and Eddie to his. But he slides the pencil back to you when he's done. "Thanks," he offers. "And if you want, I don't know if you have lunch right now, but feel free to sit with us when you want. Or say hi, like, whenever really."
"Thanks. I appreciate it."You give a tiny but still meaningful smile.
Eddie nods in return and then slips out of the library doors hoping that you do take him up on the offer. The week goes by and you don't show. Then the next week goes and you're nowhere to be found. Eddie stands from the table about halfway through lunch on a Wednesday and then starts for the library. The rest of the guys watch him leave, the slam of his hands interrupting the laughter that had been floating around the table.
"What's got into him?" Jeff asks.
"Not a clue," Gareth returns. Dustin clambers out of his seat, calling Eddie's name. And when Eddie doesn't stop, Dustin grabs his backpack and the last bite of his pizza and pudding cup to follow behind Eddie.
"Where are you going, Eddie?" Dustin ask again catching up to the older boy.
"Just to see someone, it's alright, Dustin. You can go back."
Dustin shakes his head. "No, any friend of yours is a friend of mine." Dustin does briefly wonder if it's not just a friend, but Eddie doesn't insistent or make some long speech to send Dustin back so he continues.
They reach the library and Eddie makes a beeline for the tables on the left side of the room, right under a window. Eddie stops just off to your left and you see him approaching, so you look up as Eddie pulls to a stop, another shorter boy next to him in a green hat. The younger boy waves, tip of what you assume is a spoon between his lips, as he holds the pudding cup.
"Do you hate me?" Eddie asks. "Like, I get it. But also, I don't."
"Hate-hate you?" you asks, needing clarification.
"Clearly this is your lunch period. But you're never in the cafeteria."
You shrug. "Don't really like loud noises." There's more to that. But chalking it up to a dislike is easier than trying to explain the way the fear claws up your throat.
"Tomorrow, I'm sitting in here with you," Eddie explains.
"Can I sit here too?"
You and Eddie turn to Dustin and Eddie makes quick of the introductions. "I mean-sure. I'm boring company though," you warn.
"Nonsense. But enjoy your last lunch alone."
"Eddie Munson, you are a strange man," you laugh, "but if you insist. Fine. I'll see you here tomorrow." Eddie gives you another final nod and you wave both him and Dustin bye.
When you show up the next day small circle table is already swarmed with people--some that you recognize from your classes, a couple others you don't think you've seen before. But there's a spot right next to Eddie still empty. "If I knew needed five more minutes for my History test meant I was going to get surrounded, I would've at least picked a bigger table," you tease as you approach.
Eddie laughs. "Hope it went well though."
"Time will tell." You settle in and the group introduces themselves more officially. You recognize Gareth and Paul and of course Dustin. But Mike and Jeff are faces that you don't think you've encountered.
As you pull out the lunch you packed for yourself, Eddie leans in a bit. "If we get too loud, let me know, okay?"
You nod. You hadn't expected Eddie to really take what you said about not liking too much noise to heart. But he had. The first few lunches they spend with you--an alternating schedule of catching some lunches with you and sometimes a person having to miss here and there for other reasons they do okay. But as they get more comfortable and you with them, occasionally the noise peaks.
You try to keep it from being noticable when it gets too rowdy. You sit up a little bit straighter, you furl your fists up tight under the table. You blink a bit more to keep yourself aware of your surroundings. But Eddie always seems to catch it. "Cool it," he barks and the entire time continues their heated discussion as a quieter volume.
Lunches becomes you joining them at sessions. They stop you in the hallways and before the year heads out for Christmas break you and the Hellfire club have become fast and close friends. They don't really question too much about the noise thing, though Eddie's forever watchful eye seems to always be directed at you.
On the first day back from break, you walk into the school to the guys of Hellfire laughing just outside the doors of tbe building. You approach with a nod of your head, smiling just a little at the enthusiastic returns. The group of you hang outside, a few feet from someone working on a ladder to get at something on the roof of the building.
The group of you continue to laugh, Mike recounting a fight with his sister is the focus of the group before something clatters above you all. It makes you jump, heart racing in your chest, fingers clenching around the straps of your backpack.
"You're all good, man," Jeff offers. His hand hovers for a moment over your shoulder, like he wants to give you a pat, a soothing touch, but he can see the sort of wildness to your eyes so he withholds. "Probably just a buck or something. Heard they're still fighting those gutters."
"Wanna head inside?" Gareth offers. "Eddie's going to be late anyway. We'll keep ya company of course."
You can only manage a nod as your throats dries out a little. The group rounds you Mike and Dustin leading you all through the doors. The noise of the hallways isn't loud as it is cacophonous. But the warmth of the heat breaks through the cold freezing panic and the guys hang in in a circle.
They keep their volume lower, Mike resuming his story but flicking his gaze over to you. He's not sure if you want him to continue but when your gaze lands back on him and it looks less glazed over, he thinks maybe it's a good distraction.
The warning bells rings and you wince again, this time sort of expecting it as you can see a clock on the wall not to far down the hall. Eddie strolls in and noticed the group focused on you. "We all good here?"
"Some dipshits can't keep a bucket in the grip on the roof," Jeffe explains.
Eddie nods. "Warning's a bitch, huh?" he teases and you find his eyes amongst the sea.
You laugh. "Halfway there."
"You young sheep should probably head to class, but I'll stay with you," Eddie offers. "Squat in the library until we get kicked out."
You shrug, not wanting any of them to have to be deal with trouble because of you. But the more you protest it seems like the one of them joins in on the plan. Before you know it, Eddie's got an arm slung over your shoulder, leading the whole party into the library. You all settle at your normal table and though a class is definitely be held in here that particular morning, you all manage to snag just enough seats to sit.
"You guys don't have to," you try again. "I'll be okay." You will admit having them makes you feel a bit better. The more Mike talked about his fight the more you felt yourself able to forget the earlier startle. And now, with them squeezed in tight, you feel like you're blocked off from whatever fear that could've crept in.
"Nonsense. We want to. So you've just got to deal," Eddie laughs. "I do make the rules, this time."
"DM rules are final," Gareth laughs.
"Shit, didn't realize I had made it into the party." A brief wave of embarrassment creeps up your skin and makes you hot for a moment.
"Oh you've been in," Dustin informs. "When Eddie and I showed up to tell you that we were eating with you the next day, you were in."
"Do-do I get a cool shirt?"
Eddie root around in his bag and present laying across both palms a tightly wound up Hellfire t-shirt. "Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Birthday all in one."

I had to look up that "The House Rules" song (I've never heard that before lol), it's such a cool bop 🔥🔥
It is absolutely disheartening when the character tags are so saturated with shipping that it's like those two characters can only come in ~romantic~ package deal. Just refreshing the newly updated fics on the "Doctor Strange (movies)" tag on Ao3 is enough to see what's the preference...
Yeah I've always preferred to go for platonic stuff 😂 for quite some time I managed to put up with shipping long enough to enjoy some fics on that side, but now I'm going through a period of complete romance repulsion. In times of desperation I've even sifted through "not Steve friendly" things, but never managed it for long :P
I want to shake your hand for managing to survive as a fan of Doctor Strange, Steve Rogers and Loki while being anti Tony Stark 🤝 That must be even more rough than just not enjoying shipping 💔
At this point I should probably sign myself. Hm. Perhaps an emoji. (goes through the food emojis) I effing love nigiri. Here, have some nigiri XD
- 🍣
I'm glad you liked the song, it's a classic!
I don't use Ao3 but I can assume all his tags are with Clea. It's very tempting, not gonna lie, given that it's Charlize playing her and she's such a fantastic actress, can't really blame the fans there 😜 But from what I remember when I used to browse the site, it was kind of difficult to find something that wasn't Stephen with Christine or Stark or someone else. It's not easy to navigate when you're in the middle of a "romance repulsion" as you put it but all you see is ships everywhere. I think that's one of the reasons I stopped reading fanfic altogether.
And the worst part about this is that every time I've seen someone try to discuss the overabundance of ships, things get heated so freaking quickly. It shouldn't be so hard to try and understand each other, I'm sure shipping is great for those who do it but there's nothing wrong with someone saying they don't like romance or they would like something else or they prefer their characters to stay as friends and nothing more. It almost feels like for some people it's part of their identity and they see it as a personal attack whenever we express we prefer platonic stuff to romantic, which is a shame because at the end of the day we all want the same thing: for those characters to have a connection of some sort.
I commend you for browsing the 'not Steve friendly' part of fic though, I could never do that myself! I've tried... but I'm so biased when it comes to Steve and it would just make me mad 🤷‍♀️😂
It is rough to be a fan of those 3 and not like Stark, I can assure you. The IronStrange ship shocked me the first time I saw it and it still does, I just don't see how people can think Stephen would like Stark or worse, they claim they're the same? I don't get it, they're nothing alike. They say the same about Steve even though he spent most of the movies looking at him like he was a pest or something, but since he was never allowed to call him out in later movies (especially in IW/EG where he went from trying to stop him from murdering his best friend to calling him "Earth's best defender") it is assumed he realized his mistake and started to like him. Um... I don't think so!
Oh, and thank you for the nigiri! You're my nigiri anon now 😂👌

Things I know about the people on Taskmaster Australia season 2, before I start watching it (I mean, it's sort of season 3, or something, but it's season 2 now, we have to refer to them by the order in which they're aired or it'll get incredibly confusing):
- When I was browsing the Chortle MICF reviews to see if there was anyone I didn't know who looked interesting and maybe I'd want to look up their stuff and/or add them to my Edinburgh list this year, I clicked on someone named Jenny Tian. I saw the words "Tik-Tok star" and closed the page again, no longer interested. Perhaps it will turn out that was totally unfairly judgmental of me and she's great. I sort of hope so. Please prove me wrong and tear down my unfair biases, Tik-Tok star.
- Obviously I know Lloyd Langford. I don't know him all that well, but he's turned up as a guest on plenty of things I've watched and listened to, and I've almost always liked him well enough. By "almost always", I mean "every time except that time when I was going through a phase of watching everything I could find by Rhod Gilbert, and I watched that old panel show called Ask Rhod Gilbert, on which Lloyd Langford was a regular, and it was a terrible show, but that's not Lloyd Langford's fault".
- Wil Anderson was the favourite "alternative comedian" of Zoe Coombs Marr's character Dave, in her stand-up show Dave, in which the joke was that he's actually a very mainstream and popular Australian comedian and her character is ignorant for considering him alternative (based on reviews I've read, I think when she performed that show in the UK, she changed it from Wil Anderson to Adam Hills). Also, Wil Anderson was the guy Daniel Kitson decided to start a parody beef with in 2005, and in retaliation Wil Anderson sicced a horrible journalist on Kitson, which became that routine in his 2005 show about how much he hated that journalist. I think in that routine too, the joke was sort of that Wil Anderson is a very mainstream popular comedian (Kitson ironically suggesting that he was going to upset the mainstream comedians with his routine). Despite this, I don't actually know any more about him than that.
- Anne Edmonds is the reason Lloyd Langford is no longer in Wales, because he got married to her in Australia. Normally I try to be careful not to define female comedians by their male partners, but in my defense, in this case, most comedians I know are British, so it's reasonable for me to know the British one and not the Australian one in this couple. Her latest stand-up show has recently been released as a special, though, and I've downloaded it and intend to watch it, and then I will know her better than him as I haven't seen Lloyd Langford's stand-up. But for now I know nothing else about her.
- No idea who Josh Thomas is, though I don't mean that as an insult, like, "This guy's so unimportant that I haven't even heard of him!" I mean it as, I don't know a lot about the Australian comedy industry. Josh Thomas is probably lovely.
- Fun fact, Australian Taskmaster Tom Gleeson used to be in a band with the guy who stole Daniel Kitson's girlfriend in 2004. Small world.
- Tom Cashman is a great Taskmaster's assistant. Though I only know that from the previous season, I haven't started the new one yet so I guess it's possible that he's got much worse at his job since then. Hopefully not though.

Anyone Else Having Trouble Finding New Youtube Channels?
Title of this post kind of hits at the core of what I'm trying to figure out here. As the years have gone on, while my tastes and interests have expanded outward, whenever I go onto youtube, I find it tough to find anything new to watch.
When I say ‘new,’ I mean things that aren't already popping up in my subscription box, and I generally try hard to avoid the ‘recommended’ videos that Youtube gives me when I watch something else as a lot of them only feel like they're superficially related to what I'm interested in. And then there's the issue of actually trying to search for something to watch after exhausting my subscriptions.
Much like how I'd use google during the early internet days, I loved searching for really broad topics and just… browsing youtube to see what I could find. There was a weird sort of simple pleasure and joy in just exploring the very broadest of topics on a site like youtube.
Maybe I'm just having an ‘old man in my 30’s' moment, but it really does feel like places like Youtube don't want you to search anymore. They just want you to click on video after video without really thinking about what it's about or who made it, only that it's kind of, sort of, potentially still related to the topic I was listening to before, but this is one of the reasons I keep autoplay off for anything except for playlists; I don't go to youtube to play the Wikipedia game.
Obviously, there are outliers here. I've found some very nice channels through Youtube recommendations, but those have been exceptions to the rule so far. More often than not, I feel like I'm being pointed towards content mills more than anything else, and the absolute deluge of channels, especially shorts, that utilize an AI to read out a script, and just summarize the plot or surface-level themes of a movie or a game.
Thankfully, a lot of the people I follow seem very willing and able to recommending their own mutuals or folks that they follow that are related to their own content, and it feels like I've gone full circle back to when word of mouth was one of the primary means of finding something to your interest.
Does anyone else feel this way? Does it feel like you find new people to follow more from recommendations from people you already follow, or do you find these algorithmic rabbit holes helpful to your own interest? i'm very interested to hear how you all find new stuff to watch or to read?

It began with the forging of the three-
I'll start again.
It began with BioShock Infinite.
Now obviously, it didn't all begin there. It's the third game in a series that itself is a spiritual successor to another series. But that's where we're starting our story. Or where I'm starting this one. Like most things that came out in the fucking early 2010s, it has not aged well. I'm not qualified to talk about the racism for reasons that would be blindingly obvious. Most people in this hellhole are too harsh on it, or harsh on it for what I consider the wrong reasons (hint: your internalized misogyny may be showing).
At the time, I really liked it. It 'woke me up' out of a sort of stupor I'd been in for a while. So I eagerly awaited the story-based DLCs.
They were dogshit. Or more accurately, the second one was dogshit and would be worth an entire essay on its own. In fairness it was made while the studio was being shut down because the lead "auteur" Len Kevine (not his real name) was taking his ball and going home in more ways than one. He started his own studio shortly thereafter, and is still working on the first game there almost ten years later because he's an indecisive both-sidesing hack who keeps getting distracted by the new craze in whatever video game he played last.
Anyway: they were dogshit. I decided to rewrite them. In Absentia was a meandering project that took me about two years, but it mostly holds up. While trying to get a handle on how to write the main character I did a search for 'omnichronal perception' or something along those lines, and ended up on the Power Listing wiki. One of the other listings on that page was for a set of contact lenses on the SCP wiki. That's a second rabbit hole right there, and one I spent many years thereafter browsing.
After In Absentia I started work on another project that didn't pan out for a variety of reasons. It and my time with the SCP wiki sort of came to a head with the release of SCP 3999, which is just monstrous and wonderful at the same time. Right from the quotation at the top of the page, which introduced me to yet another rabbit hole I'm still going down today*, and then finally closing out with (and I maintain this wasn't there when I first read it, though I'm not going back through the edit history to check) a triumphant rendition of 'Sunday (Finale)' from Sunday In The Park With George.
What is that third rabbit hole? Well, the SCP wiki has a neat little habit of cross-referencing other SCPs, whether by name or by some other aspect. Sometimes they're hyperlinked, sometimes they're not. The quotation I mentioned contains the phrase 'Eleven-Day Empire', which I took to be another SCP, so I googled it. Except...it wasn't. It directed me, of all things, to the Doctor Who wiki and explained that it was a reference to a Doctor Who spinoff I'd never heard of before, and with good reason. It's been described as 'Doctor Who without the Doctor', which isn't strictly accurate: there are a few Doctor-shaped holes in the texts, as people have noted. (Though for legal reasons, they aren't named.)
Maybe I've beaten around the bush long enough. It's Faction Paradox.
Toward the end of my attempt to write that project from before, I kept imagining someone standing outside the house where most of the narrative was taking place. Just watching. Then, in...I can't remember the year, or the month at this point, but I want to say it was either 2018 or 2019, I had a dream. I can only remember three things from it now: the Twelfth Doctor (who was only in it briefly), something about the TARDIS being a tree, and the phrase The New Omnifitense. The strangest part was, I'd skipped most of the Twelfth Doctor's run; not out of any moral stand or anything, I just missed one episode and even back then I knew that I'd be hopelessly lost next time around, so it sort of snowballed.
Each of those aspects I managed to work into Blood and Tears, in addition to the things from 3999. Blood and Tears is still close to my (pardon me for saying so) heart; it came out almost exactly the way I hoped it would, which is no mean feat given the scares I had in 2022.
If you somehow made it this far, thank you.

Book Review #107 of 2023--
Tumblr media
Moonstruck, Vol. 1: Magic to Brew by Grace Ellis and Shae Beagle. Rating: 3.5 stars.
Read on August 24th.
I found this while browsing my library this past weekend and it looked too cute not to read. We follow two werewolves and a centaur as they're living life in this magical world and working at this coffee shop. But when they go to a magic show one night things take a dark turn and they're left trying to recover, find out who stole the centaur's magic (and their horse butt), and get everything back to normal.
This is a cute cozy Fantasy comic series and do I now have volumes 2 and 3 as library holds just waiting for me to swing by? Of course I do Hi, have you met me? I'm excited to keep going with this one because it IS so adorable and so magical. My struggle--and the reason this didn't get a higher rating from me--is that we spend so long meeting everyone and getting our way of the magical land that we don't have enough time on the action. We get a few pages per chapter but, as a whole, this volume isn't very action heavy. The fight sequences are quick (maybe a couple of pages at the most) and then we're moving on to the next thing. I'm hoping we get more action in the next couple of volumes.
Favorite Characters? I sort of love Cass who is a seer at another coffee shop who helps them on their mission. Julie is alright but probably not a favorite despite her being our main character. The centaur Chet was hilarious but I think 70% of that was just the fact he kept running around talking about missing his horse butt and 30% being his insane energy.
Overall, it's cute and quick and I think it's great for anyone wanting to jump into something with cozy vibes. With all the magical creatures, it also kind of gives off those Autumn vibes for anyone who--like me--is currently suffering through more heat waves than you can shake a stick at.

"THE HANGED MAN."
KIM KITSURAGI - "Great! That's great. That's actually what *I* was thinking too -- THE HANGED MAN. Good, strong name. We have a very good name for the case now."
He flips the pages of his notebook. "I'm going to start calling it THE HANGED MAN. It's good we sorted this out."
Task complete: Read your ledger and name the case
+30 XP
4. I'm done inspecting these. (Close the case files.)
DAMAGED LEDGER - You don't exactly *close* them, so much as *distance* yourself from the smelly papers. They're a little further from your nose now.
We've unlocked a check to read the files.
Tumblr media
+1 Kim explained the system.
3. [Logic - Medium 11] Can I read the case files now?
Tumblr media
LOGIC [Medium: Failure] - It's possible: yes. Easy: no. You need to come up with a small archaeological system to re-order the remains of your past works. At the moment all they do is fall apart in your hands. Some dates and the numeric titular system is all you have.
Reading the case files would take some time, anyway.
4. Browse the *yellow* pages.
DAMAGED LEDGER - In the back you see thin translucent copier paper -- some neon yellow, some bright red -- all covered in boxes, like marching armies. These look like official forms, waiting to be filled out...
LOGIC [Easy: Success] - ...then *rip* them from the binder, and hand them out. According to type of form.
What types of forms are there?
DAMAGED LEDGER - Three. The topmost are MISCONDUCT FINES, the middle ones are STATION CALLS, and the bottommost are FIELD AUTOPSY FORMS. Each is easy enough to make sense of.
MISCONDUCT FINE.
STATION CALL.
FIELD AUTOPSY.
Enough of these. (Close forms).
DAMAGED LEDGER - A monetary penalization ranging from 20 to 250 reál. Severe cases allow for 1000 reál, but that requires special paperwork. The details of issuing these fines are spread out over the rest of the fields.
2. STATION CALL.
DAMAGED LEDGER - These are quite sinister in tone. They give a date and time for the person to 'appear' at the specified Precinct Police Station. Below the 'call' are the criminal charges you risk by 'not appearing'.
3. FIELD AUTOPSY.
DAMAGED LEDGER - A dozen pages of thin copy paper, bright red in colour. You see the parameters of a deceased human form, waiting to be filled in: age, sex, condition of internal organs...
4. Enough of these. (Close forms.)
DAMAGED LEDGER - Yes -- all that remains now is to fill those forms and *hand* them to people: fines for wrongdoers, interview requests for bad guys, and field autopsies to *dead* guys.
+5 XP
AUTHORITY [Medium: Success] - What delicious power hid within this pathetic mess... you feel better.
+1 Healed Health
DAMAGED LEDGER - The rest of the stinking cellulose is *much* worse for wear. Being sandwiched between the board and the rest of the paperwork must have spared the fragile copier paper.
5. Look at the clipboard.
DAMAGED LEDGER - It's made of dark blue plastic hard enough to beat someone to submission with. The edges are rounded, however. The U4-sized board feels thick and heavy in your hand. Light shimmers on its wet surface. On the back you see the embossed letters: RCM.
What did you say the colour was?
Shake the ledger.
Back to the rest of this mess.
DAMAGED LEDGER - Blue.
INLAND EMPIRE [Medium: Success] - The blue heart. Don't look into it.
2. Shake the ledger.
DAMAGED LEDGER - Something rattles inside, ever so lightly. Is there... a hidden compartment?
Peek inside.
DAMAGED LEDGER - The plastic shimmers like lapis lazuli, but it is not see-through. You cannot see to its centre...
3. How would I open it? (Conclude.)
DAMAGED LEDGER - With your hands? U4-sized pages hang from the clip screwed to the top of the board.
Tumblr media
We'll try this Interfacing check in a minute.
7. Smell the ledger.
DAMAGED LEDGER - The acidic stench of rotting food has rubbed off on the cellulose. It now forms the *base* of the experience. This base surrounded by a faint air of spoiled meat -- the stuff of death itself! -- and then sprinkled liberally with the citrus zest of toilet cleaner.
Tumblr media
6. [Interfacing - Medium 10] Open the hidden compartment in the clipboard.
Tumblr media
INTERFACING [Medium: Success] - Hmm. The two sides of the board appear slightly misaligned. Like a drawer that's come off the slides. If you *bend* the plastic on your knee, slowly...
...the slides *snap* back into place. It should be possible to just... you know...
Slide the drawer open.
Wait... somehow I don't want to.
Fuck no -- put the ledger away. [Leave.]
DAMAGED LEDGER - What are you waiting for? Just...
INLAND EMPIRE [Medium: Success] - That's because you know where this leads to.
HORRIFIC NECKTIE - That doesn't sound like it's gonna be *fun*.
Slide the drawer open.
DAMAGED LEDGER - Without resistance -- or sound -- the two panels move against each other. The compartment is now open.
What's inside?
DAMAGED LEDGER - Two ticket stubs and a handmade postcard.
Tumblr media
Pick up the ticket stubs.
Pick up the card. (Proceed.)
Fucking kill yourself you asshole.
Close the permeables' compartment.
DAMAGED LEDGER - Two octopuses are smiling, reaching their tentacles toward each other in the coloured pencil drawings. The tickets permit access to a zoo in Revachol East. The aquarium costs extra -- these let you go there too.
2. Pick up the card. (Proceed.)
DAMAGED LEDGER - Thin wax paper has been glued to a piece of cardboard. Sounds like leaves rustling when you pick it up -- you see violet flowers, floral patterns, patches of glue.
Smell it first.
Open it.
Put it back.
DAMAGED LEDGER - It smells of chewing gum -- apricot flavoured.
PERCEPTION (SMELL) [Easy: Success] - A touch of cinnamon, the end of summer. You think the label says: 'Tutti Frutti'.
Open it.
DAMAGED LEDGER - Familiar handwriting lines the inside of the card -- looped, round letters in a woman's hand.
VISUAL CALCULUS [Easy: Success] - A young woman in her twenties. There is care, effort, and a *smile*, you think -- although that is not something you can read from someone's handwriting.
DAMAGED LEDGER - "Harry," it begins -- you're already reading. "I wanted to write you a letter, so you can read it when you wake up. Maybe it will make you happy."
VOLITION [Easy: Success] - Throw it away. Please.
But it will make me *happy*...
DAMAGED LEDGER - A merciful wind blows in from the Bay of Revachol, dusting the ground at your feet and raising newspapers far away. You feel the card slipping into it...
What was that?
Throw the card into the wind.
Hold onto it. Read the card.
SHIVERS - Frisson covers your entire body. A feeling of cold. A persistent chill.

@dcviated asked: 10 and 15!
Munday Writing Stuff - Accepting!
Tumblr media
Something that bothers you to read in RP specifically?
Two big ones would be muses with no discernible faults or weaknesses (the Mary Sue/Gary Stu sort of muse that should be appealing and attractive to everyone. I have chosen not to follow blogs for this very reason: decent writing quality, but too-perfect muses), and quiet/brooding/introspective muses whose threads don't leave much to interact with or respond to. Closely followed by replies that answer questions from your previous reply, but don't add anything else to the thread.
But a Danganron.pa-specific annoyance? DR muses whose talents never factor into their lives. Yes, they're written as being admitted to Hope's Peak Academy based on such-and-such talent, and then the muns...never show them engaging with that talent. Not even schoolwork.
As fun as high school stories can be, the whole point of Hope's Peak, at least in the Main Course, is to gather students who are incredibly skilled in specific talents while aiming to have them be wholly and completely defined by them, in order to obtain the brightest possible future. A secured career for life, money, fame, etc. That's a lot of pressure for a 16 to 18 year old! There's even canon characters who don't want to be defined by their specific talents, and some who want to pursue other interests but due to their status at Hope's Peak, they can't.
And I really wish more DR muns would explore those topics: how did their muse's talents end up shaping their muse? Did they peak in high school? Did they eventually go on to the success the school promised?
This is more of what bothers me not to read in RP, but I think it still qualifies.
How many times do you reread a reply?
I talked about how many times I read my own in another reply, but here I'll share how many times I reread someone else's starter to me/reply in a thread:
Around a dozen.
Especially if the reply is long and/or there's a Big Dramatic Moment going on.
This is mostly due to my own writing process which involves something like this:
get tagged in reply and/or starter
read said post
Immediately get a few dialogue options that I scribble down for later
think on it for a little while/overnight/while I do something else
sit down to write properly. Read through the post at least twice more.
Put the kettle on for pot of tea #1
Look at my earlier/immediate notes and either decide 'there's something here that might be okay' or 'well this is crap and I have no idea how to match my writing partner's quality and make them feel All The Things'
Decide I need to put on a playlist. Immediately get distracted by whatever random track Spotify thinks my Daily Mix needs.
"Well, I'll read this again and then do some google searches for thread ideas. For accuracy, you know."
This inevitably leads to a deep dive of: blogs, reddit, wikipedia, and/or YouTube
"Oh, this would be a great idea for another thread/a future thread! But wait, I was supposed to get inspo for -this- thread"
Goes back to read the reply a few more times
Right around here is when I try to write the first paragraph and yell about why I can't form words good. I'm an absolute imposter of a writer because why am I not turning around thousands of words per day.
Someone messages me on discord with something inevitably more appealing than trying to write this reply. I engage with it because that's a cute meme or great idea for muse shenanigans
Put on the kettle for pot of tea #2 while browsing the dash
Laugh at some dashcomm, send some memes, immediately forget where I was going with that thread reply
Read the reply once again while the tea steeps
...finally write and queue my reply to the reply, possibly while annoyed this took so long.
This is also why writing more than three replies or starters per day for me is a real achievement. Because each time, I go through this process. I'm sure there's a better way to focus and do things but I've yet to figure it out.

Starting a conversation or paragraph never seems to be easy without a title or something to catch the eye. It's not like I'm talking about anything crazy, it's still animanga related, but I don't really have an answer as to what it is. I just sorta want to throw stuff out there right now.
I've been really burnt out in the Winter season with anime so I've not been posting much (even though I've been enjoying the shows a fair bit still), so I'm hopeful to start feeling up to it with Spring. But it's something that feels weird, I want to, but at the same time that desire and interest feels tangled with obligation and concern. The curse of social media I guess, I separate my account from myself and so my interests can get misaligned really easily. Regardless, the point of the rambling is how much I enjoy just sharing my thoughts on stuff and being excited about my interest in the hobby / community / medium. At times I feel like I have to put loads of effort in and really organize and give things a structure, and it just feels like it takes away from what I wanted in the first place.
Like recently I've been really expanding my collection which you can browse through here, and it's been really great. I get to binge a whole bunch of stuff and re-read physicals for others. I was never big into One Punch Man when it started gaining traction, but I picked up basically a full set and flew through reading it, and it was great fun. I had a similar experience with Komi, re-reading to where I had gotten digitally and then breezing past it and just taking in the moment rather than trying to fabricate a detailed analysis of each volume. At the end of the day I really love it as a slice of life story, and all the crossdressing Tadano jokes just get to me. They're always funny, and I really enjoy them as a harmless joke that consistently pokes fun at overly masculine gender norms. Seeing a guy get turned into a pretty girl and everyone going along with it just gets me to laugh.
It feels like I sort of shot myself in the foot with trying to expand and share thoughts with people online, but at the same time I do really enjoy it. I mean, I wrote this out and it's here, clearly it's not bad enough that I want to stop. It can just get tiring sometimes when you see the degree of intensity that people put on for social media. Constantly analyzing every frame, every spoken or written word, offering pages and pages of superfluous insight filled to the brim with buzzwords that remind you of Glass Onion.
So anyways, that was about it. I want to try and make this account a bit more personal and less removed from myself, so I'll probably start sharing some more random and benign pieces from what I'm doing moving forward. Anyways, off to read some more since I've got a massive backlog to catch up on (it's a double edged sword having so much, the amount of freedom is paralyzing haha).

hardstyle remixes
Right now I'm browsing #hardstyle videos
Its too bad I am too ugly and trash for these people every day I feel sad about my ugly hands and feet and face and I'm so stupid
youtube
I will just watch some more hart to hart. There's no ads, but I've been harassed with postal mail junk mail and ads on youtube related to my past legal problems, what is the point? All the channels I subscribe to are taunting me about puking because I've struggled with eating disorders and I bought a lot of food at grocery outlet last month. A car pulled up beside me at 7-eleven and the man going in the store was wearing a 2 towns hoodie and the woman inside said she feels like she is going to puke. Good job. Everyone. What am I supposed to do besides smoke cigarettes constantly and feel horrible? It is worse than anything I ever did to anyone and its not fair. I am crying now I don't have anything else to say that isn't hurtful to myself. All people ever do is go around saying disgusting perverted lies about me and put me in danger. They're obsessed with high school rumors and even if things were true, what does anybody do besides get everything they want by hurting me? Look at this entire community and region and media network. I am horrible but all of you are worse. FYI I quit smoking marijuana, maybe I will send back a clean test for.that marijuana user study I started before Goodwill decided to interview me and said they needed a clean test so it was suspicious and I didmt want anything to do with either after the interview. I can pass a drug test but I don't want to work at Goodwill or anywhere because then I'm captive for your bullshit I can just leave the house when the realtor is here and get abused enough or just stay here and watch youtube alone and get abused what do you want from my life all you do is help everyone else and I keep helping them with whatever I do online now I'm going to smoke more cigarettes and I feel horrible. Why bother going to 7-eleven anyway, every other time I enter my phone number for the rewards program it has to sign me up as a new user like they want to deny I'm there. Why not just buy my parents house for a decent price so I can go away forever this has gone on long enough. I can't stand going to the nearest convenience store for cigarettes called city limits because there always happens to be a scene that smells like my recent internet activity there, and I remember that store being there when I went to kindergarten almost across the street 1989-1990, then my family moved to Pittsburgh and I couldn't read and I was younger so i did kindergarten again and my laptop that got ripped off in seattle peoblems had a photo of me sort of hugging my friend here who I visited in 1992 or something who used to be in the same grade then was a year older when I came back for middle school and high school, I was trying to get close for the photo but she wasn't into it, probablt because we went to see 101 Dalmatians at the theater because i wanted to but she wanted to see Bill and Ted. Of course one of my visits to the local botox place they have to find someone who would look like her as an adult to walk through while I'm waiting or maybe it was a coincidence but everything must be a coincidence right

⸻  MIKE FAIST. THEY/THEM / have you ever heard of THESE WALLS by trapt, well, it describes SPENCER SMITH to a tee! the thirty one year old, and CASHIEER AT FIVE STAR GAMES AND COMICS was spotted browsing through the stalls at portobello road market last sunday, do you know them? would you say THEY are more obsessive or more KNOWLEDGABLE instead? anyway, they remind me of chewed up hoodie sleeves, late night horror movie marathons, tinny pokemon music and the habit of always running late, maybe you’ll bump into them soon! time in notting hill: thirty one years
The second oldest of four, Spencer found themselves in a weird spot from an early age. Alana was the talented one, and their parents made it clear. It's not that Spencer minded so much; it was more when it seemed like it was their job as 'the man of the house' to take care of his siblings when they went to do things with with his oldest sister that things started to tumble downhill.
From a young age, Spencer was almost too aware they were different. They liked things too much, they were too quiet, they would rather read books or draw than make friends. If they weren't so bright when it came to the actual school work, Spencer would have been held back; but instead, they were just very socially awkward. They didn't really mind though, much preferring their handheld games or fantasy novels to friends anyway.
Gender and sexuality were always something that Spence was aware of, but they always felt very differently. They didn't fall into any sort of category at all, and while this rarely bothered them, it seemed to bother anyone else who asked. High school brought on a whole new slew of problems, from attempts at dating and trying to explain why they got so mad when people referred to them as a boy. They simply weren't that. They felt like they were just a passenger in an assigned body, not fitting in with the other boys their age, but also very clearly different from the girls also. It wasn't ever a sensation that bothered Spencer, and by the time they were sixteen they just settled on nonbinary and queer for their oh so important labels.
There were few things Spencer liked as much as being left alone. They didn't want anyone in their business, or in their space. There were times they would allow their siblings in their space, of course, but it was rare for Spencer to let anyone get a glimpse of what was going on in their head. To be honest, they were sick of being told they were different - they knew that already. People always picked such a face and tone to say it with, Spencer almost dreaded opening up to anyone at all.
Leaving Notting Hill had never been an option to Spencer - this was their home, where their siblings and parents were. Despite the strained relationship they had with their mother and father, they would do anything for their siblings - while they were closer to Jasper, they cared very deeply for Rowan and Alana as well. As long as their family was in Notting Hill, so was Spencer.
Watching Jasper go through all the testing for autism, it shone a light on a lot of things about Spencer; and while they had absolutely no interest in getting any tests done themselves, it was probably clear to anyone who really knew them that they fell somewhere on the spectrum. They would be hard pressed to admit it, just like any other personal information, but it just bonds them closer to Jasper, making it possible to understand each other on a level most others don't.
At the end of it all, Spencer is just a deeply guarded individual who can talk a lot about early 2000s anime shows and give you a five paragraph essay on old school horror special effects, but will scoff if you even hint at it being a special interest. They're a little oblivious at times, and tend to be a little short or disinterested, but they really listen if you need to confide in them, and are always willing to lend a helping hand or fun trivia fact about Digimon.

Lastly, before buying these two things must verify everything about the company. Always buy from a company that bears a good reputation and whose price level suits a family’s income.

Where to Buy Jewelry Online
Tumblr media
If you're looking to buy jewelry online, you'll find a variety of websites with all kinds of options available. Online stores have a great selection of handmade jewelry and a DIY philosophy. The sellers sell everything from high-end collectibles to upcycled pop pieces, so you're sure to find something that suits your style. The websites makes navigation easy, and you can even sort by price range, era, and style. Besides browsing jewelry online, you can also learn about the artisans behind the creation of their items. You can even read reviews and recommendations about the artists' work before purchasing a piece of jewelry.
Jewelry salespeople at traditional jewelry stores can be annoying, so it's always best to shop online at the karine sultan wholesale store to get your jewelry without the hassle. Unlike in-person jewelry salespeople, online jewelry stores have friendly customer service representatives who don't judge you based on your personal taste. Also, you won't have to worry about the quality of the items, since the prices on online stores are often lower than those in traditional stores. Online stores also provide customers with peace of mind when it comes to customer service.
Another way to find jewelry online is to visit Amazon. You can buy thousands of different items for just a few dollars, from rings to necklaces. You can even browse through Instagram and TikTok-famous accessories. Moreover, Amazon jewelry has over three thousand reviews on its website. Plus, when you join Amazon's Prime service, you get to enjoy free shipping on your purchases. The price you'll pay will depend on whether you're an Amazon Prime member.
For more affordable jewelry options, try Baublebar.com. It offers an extensive selection of accessories for all budgets. It also features a personalized shopping option. This allows you to customize your jewelry by choosing colors, styles, and designs that are right for you. The price is right too. Just remember to keep your budget in mind when you're shopping for jewelry online. You'll be amazed at how much money you'll save.
There are many different types of gemstones and metals that you can choose from. Different materials suit different needs and preferences. 14-karat gold, platinum, and cobalt are great choices for everyday wear. On the other hand, softer gemstones need special care. They can't be worn everyday, and they're not as durable as hard stones. You can browse their website to find the right piece for you. The website also allows you to customize your purchase. Additionally, click to find out more about the various types of jewelry available on this online store.
When shopping for jewelry, make sure to check the quality and warranty. Some sites offer lifetime warranties. Others will offer only a limited warranty or will charge you extra for an extension. Some sites even offer free cleaning services and rhodium plating. If your purchase doesn't meet your expectations, you may have to return it. Regardless, the experience will be worth it if you find the perfect piece. But remember that there are other options available.
