Because i realized Dave would need a support and Karkat made the most sense for reasons 1 and 2#because if i had no karkat dave would struggle way more in ways that dont assist the story#In my original concepts i was going to have a 'this universes karkat' but doubling the trolls was going to be too much work#so i just uh. erased them instead and decided no trolls in side A#what happened to them isnt the story and i dont want to make room for something unnecessary#(see: me keeping calliopes game offscreen even though i do know it)#(Shes playing darts by herself :) )#Anyways. Karkat is Important he just is like a secondary cast member#And sometimes i feel bad about that but if he wasnt the story would get too crazy lol#and its already too huge haha#Not tagging with the fic tag because idk

one of my favorite things about zedaph is that on a server full of people that find strange and oft-overlooked minecraft mechanics or rare events and then see just how far they can push them in the name of spectacle or efficiency or world-breaking, zed is over here finding these mechanics in order to do the weirdest things he can think of in as entertaining a manner as possible
like i 100% have faith in zedaph's theoretical ability to be just as efficient or spectacular or world-breaking. if he wanted to do that stuff, i trust that he absolutely could. but thats so far from being his priority. instead, hes going to spend around a week of irl time focused entirely on eventually having the good luck to spawn in something insanely rare so that he can convert it into something even rarer, the result of which being something that 99% of the server reacts with complete and utter shock that it even exists in the first place, just because its zany and funny and he wanted to. and i love that

god im just thinking abt how. merlin is always saying that before he came to camelot he thought he was cursed and he hated his magic because he thought it made him a monster but it was also all he had. and then him telling lancelot in s4 that since he found the purpose of his magic (protecting arthur) he doesn't feel that way anymore. sigh. the way out is just another cage!!!

it sucks that so many mental illnesses cause things that result in losing weight. im already suffering enough & youre also gonna make me fucking skinny? do you hate me or something? where is my tummy. i hope you die.
#ive lost so much weight and i hate it. i barely eat 1 meal a day and its not even on purpose#my ocd and anxiety and sensory issues and a ton of other things make it really hard to make my own food#especially to make it consistently or with any sort of nutritional value#not to mention being poor makes it like 20x harder#we cant ever afford most of the things i actually can eat consistently. especially not often#so im just stuck eating the same prepackaged frozen foods over and over until they make me wanna throw up#and then my mom gets mad at me for being too much of a fucking burden to bear just because i exhibited autism symptoms#but nobody can make me food all the time. so im just stuck feeling like shit and/or being hungry constantly i guess#what i get for being a stupid little fucking baby apparently#weight mention#awoo

not to bring up mass effect but that’s one of the most interesting things it ever posited when it came to the idea of organic vs artificial intelligence. a machine, if sentient, knows who created it and why it was created. and a person will never know that. like, even lacking spirituality, even if you ascribe all this to random cause-and-effect, that doesn’t actually get you any closer to understanding why there is a you. but a robot can look their creator in the eye, can read out the whole of its purpose, and know that no matter what it modifies, this is what it was made to be. and what if it was made limited, or flawed, or shackled. there are elements of that a person can relate to, maybe understand, but not all of it, not enough to fathom how different the experience of the world is when you have no questions about your origins.
#also not to talk about mass effect but this is whyyy i love the geth so much. it feels like this would be something you could easily take#in a cold and logical direction because of this whole. lack of questions.#but the geth are so brimming with this sort of. faith. you know? its written into every way they’re referred to. they call the reapers the#old gods. older. we must assume. referring not just to them but to the quarians.#they call splinters of their hivemind that disagree ‘heretics’. legion accepts that name specifically because of its implications.#for a whole game the geth are mindless enemies and then suddenly they’re a *people*. and legion takes the name of a biblical demon.#we’re getting off topic here but its mass effect let me ramble.
