The Leauge of villains in a horror movie (no quirk au)
I just think itd be interesting
I'm more a fan of horror books than movies, because I get scared easily with visual content. BUT I'd do the best I can. Here it goes:
THE YEAR OF THE DEMON LORD AU :
The story is about a little boy (Shimura Tenko) who was sold to a demon (AFO) by his father (Shimura Kotaro), who was trying to bring his mother (Shimura Nana) back to life.
The demon tricked Kotaro and he only brought the ghost of Nana back. To mark the little boy as his, the demon changed Tenko's name to Tomura. His hair also changed from black to white and he got permanent scars along his face and neck, the a curse that would be always screacting.
The story cuts to the future, where we see an older Tomura playing with his train set. Nao, Kotaro's wife, is arguing with him because she refuse to let the demon take the kid. That night when the demon appears, Nao makes her choice: crying, she tells the demon to take Kotaro in exchange of letting her son live for another 15 years. The demon accepts the deal but in exchange he decides he's gonna take the lives of all the Shimuras one by one, whenever he wants.
Nao takes her family and begins her career against the clock: she needs to find someone who can fight the demon to free her son.
She doesn't hide to his son what is happening. Tomura knows he's cursed and a demon is looking for him. But Nao also teaches him about how his grandmother, Nana, used to fight against demons all the time. Tomura is not alone and he can't let the demon take him, because he is a special boy, she knows it. Whatever happens, the demon can't take him.
Within the first 5 years, Tomura lost both his maternal grandparents. Tomura is now 10 years old, but they haven't found someone to fight the demon. Instead, Nao has spend those years finding someone to teach Tomura how to resist the demon's influence. His name is Kurogiri and he's a young specialist on fighting satanic influences. He becomes like a father to Tomura and Hana, something Nao is grateful for.
Another 5 years go by and Nao dissappears. Hana is 18 years old, Tomura is 15 years old. The grieve causes Tomura to forget most of the past 15 years old of his life. Hana starts her theological studies as Kurogiri helps Tomura develop his supernatural abilities. They don't tell Tomura the truth, because they want him to have some normal years.
Tomura gets some friends. They all are strange and weird as him, almost all of them having some or other form of connection with the supernatural, even if they don't know about it.
Hana and Kurogiri agree that it's best for him to keep some close friends to help him. Still, they're time is running out.
Tomura doesn't know why her sister acts so strange. She's jumpy, scared, tearful and constantly worrying over him. She fights a lot with his friends, he goes paranoid.
They have a fight. Tomura leaves their home. After some hours, Hana panics and calls everyone to go after him. She barely finds him and is able to apologize when she sees the demon lurking in the shadows. Hana tells him to run but Tomura doesn't. He stays there while the demon takes his sister.
Everything comes back to him in a flash. He faints. When he wakes up, he finds out Kurogiri was the one who saved him, but he got his own curse for getting in between the demon and him.
With all his family dead and his mentor injured, Tomura needs to make a decision. Is he going to expend the rest of his years looking for a savior or is he going to fight the demon himself?
Tomura dissappears. Hana is dead. The Villain Club (the way Tomura decides to refer to his friends), are madly worried. Tomura has always helped them, he was always there when they needed him, so how can the let Tomura just dissappear like that?
Magne uses her power to contact a ghost to help them. Most of them are terrified and won't even talk to her. Compress is her anchor to the real world, Twice is the bait, so Toga is the one protecting Magne from the ghost in the spirit realm. Since Spinner is not spiritually sensitive and Dabi can't control his powers, they are the ones protecting the others in the real world.
Toga, Spinner and Dabi are doing their best, but there are too many ghost attacking them. They are almost past the limit when Magne finds the ghost of Nana.
She explain the situation as quickly as she can, before begging them to rush, giving them Tomura's location. He plans to contact the demon behind Kurogiri's back to get done with the whole deal.
Tomura is not strong enough, but he's tired of watching the people he loves die. He knows in his bones that if he asks his friends for help, they won't refuse. But getting involved equals getting kill, and that's something he can't deal with.
I bet you already know that everything goes wrong from this point further.
The demon needs some time to properly possess Tomura. The Villian Club are on their way, but know the demon knows that too.
They crash. Magne gets badly injured and she just knows the demon won't let her live, not when she was the one who contacted Nana. That's why she tells the rest to go save Tomura while she stays behind. She's gonna use her own blood, flesh and bones to create a protection for them. Human sacrifices are powerful, and even more when the person gives their love willingly.
Tomura is fighting the demon's will. Their in an abandoned building, one the Villian Club needs to break in. Except now they're not only dealing with ghosts, but with demon possessed humans.
This time, Compress and Twice are the ones to keep the demon's servants at bay. They find Kurogiri is already there, but there are too many. He orders the rest to keep going.
Spinner, Dabi and Tog fight their way to the room where Tomura is. While Toga is on transe to properly kill the demons, Spinner needs to carry her on his back and keep her safe in the real world. Dabi is able to kill both demons and humans in the spirit and real world, but it activates his curse and the more he uses his senses, the more his body burns.
When they reach Tomura, is almost too late.
Toga almost collapses for just staring into the demon's real form. Spinner needs to wake her. Dabi can use his arms properly anymore.
That's when the ghost of Magne appears. She's not dead, thanks to Giran and Mustard finding her on time. Using Giran as an anchor and with the help of Giran, she finds a way to contact the Villain Club to give them the final piece Nana told her: the demon has always wanted Tomura because he has the same special ability she was born with: the can bind demons inside of them to destroy them from within.
All they need to do is bring Tomura's consciousness back and tell him that he can contact his dead family, because every life the demon has ever reclaimed keeps living inside of him. A demon as old as that one... He must has thousands and thousands of ghost inside of him.
Dabi and Toga take the most damage, because they're both trying to slow down the demon in both realms the best they can. Spinner is in charge on making Tomura wake up. But how?
He remembers Tomura once confessed that, in order to wake from a nightmare, he created a copy of his father on his subconscious. Whenever the copy of his father put his hand on Tomura's face, he knew he was in danger and his instincts kicked him awake.
With Dabi and Toga defeated, with the possessed humans surrounding the rest of the Villain Club, Spinner tries one last time: he let's the demon capture him, let him think he's done. And when he lowers his guard, Spinner puts his hand on Tomura's face.
For a second, just the laughter of the demon. And then...
Spinner?”
Spinner almost cries out loud. Or maybe he does. He can't talk, so it's a blessing that Dabi has kept himself awake enough to yell Tomura to contact his family. When Tomura retreats, the demon already attempting to regain control.
The Villain Club uses their last sparks of energy to anchor Tomura. Like hands holding him all over his body, reminding him he's not alone.
And that's when Tomura remembers his mother, his sister, his grandparents. Nana.
He cries and kicks and shouts and bites his way down down down into the demon memory, reclaiming all those lives who took, asking them for help. They are like specks of dust floating on the air, slowly retaking their mortal form. And they are so many... An army of the death.
When he reaches his family, he's tired. He can't move anymore. He closes his eyes while he hears how the ghost tear the demon apart. And he feels gentle hands, gentle voices, gentle smiles.
With the delicate touch of a pair of colorful wings, Tomura feels a kiss on his cheek.
“I'm sorry I had to leave you. Could you forgive me, please? About that night?”
Tomura begins to cry.
Hana, his sister. He'd recognize her voice anywhere.
“It was a silly fight. I was never angry with you anyway. And you're here now.”
She laughs, taking his hand to guide him out of the darkness and he misses her so much.
He knows he can't stay there.
He let's his mother hug him and kiss his forehead, smoothing his hair. He promises to take care of his scars and scratches. L
“My brave little boy, I knew you could do it.”
He let's his grandparents tell him how proud they are. They don't accept the apology of Tomura for being the reason they are dead.
“It was our choice, a great one. We're glad of what we did, so don't regret it for us.”
When he opens his eyes, he's at the hospital. Apparently no one else died, but scared a bunch of people to death for suddenly reappearing with a bunch of injuries, covered in blood and mud.
The Villain Club gets to be angry with Tomura for not asking them for help and then they get to hug the hell out of him.
And if this is a horror movie, why didn't I kill more people? Because this is my au and I get to save them all for being the author.
Happy fucking ending you all.
And remember: I never told any of you that the demon was dead, because no one ever saw him dying.

how i’d rewrite v3
warning: long post
chapter 1:
everything is essentially the same with one key difference
when voting ends, shuuichi is revealed to have abstained, leading to his death alongside kaede’s
thus resulting in a double protag switch, with kiibo becoming the protag
chapter 1 results in three deaths
this establishes the arc number, makes things interesting by killing off three of the seemingly most important characters, and gives leeway for the rest of the cast to shine
chapter 2:
the motive is the same, and maki gets hoshi’s tape
however, maki refuses to trade with him and he gets angry about it
because he’s always wanted to feel like he was worth something, and there’s someone standing in the way of letting him know if there’s anything outside waiting for him, he kills maki
however, after that, he watches his tape and realizes that he’s completely alone
he leaves the crime scene as is, and kokichi tries to throw the trial because he has maki’s tape and has revealed her as the SHSL assassin
kokichi attempts to make it be that maki committed suicide as a means of escaping her past, but he also posits that maybe she was framing hoshi since he was already a convicted murderer
hoshi, having nothing left to live for, confesses, and kokichi gets angry, citing that it would have been so much more interesting if he had fought his fate
maki and hoshi die in a fiercely antagonistic, ultimately self-destructive mess
chapter 3:
there’s a similar motive, and it’s established that there was a pair of relatives in the cast, but one of them is dead
miu has already cemented herself as being pretty isolated from the rest of the group, and people suspect that she and kaede were twins, based on them knowing that kaede had a twin sister
other guesses include rantarou being related to tenko or kirumi, and shuuichi being related to korekiyo or tsumugi
angie decides to hold a seance so that they can figure it out and reunite them
himiko offers to help and it’s during the seance that himiko is killed
this is a 1 victim chapter, subverting the expectation, and also making sense since 3 people died in chapter 1
during the trial, people start to suspect miu, but korekiyo starts acting weird
korekiyo has a meltdown completely out of nowhere, and believes himself to be possessed by the spirit of shuuichi
he reveals that shuuichi was his brother, and that he was vengeful towards the group for not stopping the killing game (making his, kaede’s, and rantarou’s sacrifices be in vain)
he also claims that shuuichi was trying to target the mastermind, but when himiko volunteered herself to help, he ended up killing her instead
korekiyo is voted, despite a couple people claiming that shuuichi would be the true culprit
korekiyo is executed, and in retaliation for monodam having killed monokid and monosuke during the prior executions, monotaro and monophanie kill him
chapter 4:
virtual reality is still part of the motive
angie has a breakdown, having lost the one person that was most receptive to her teachings about atua
miu and tsumugi are shown to be very close after the last few chapters due to their self-isolated nature
angie snaps and tries to kill miu, but tsumugi steps in in her place, killing angie as defense
the world glitches, and miu goes missing for a bit, leading people to believe that she was the victim
when they get out of the game, miu is still alive, and so people believe her to be the murderer
it’s revealed that miu caused the glitch in order to save tsumugi
kokichi’s been part of this too, having noticed how close they were and putting pieces together, as well as eavesdropping and coercing info out of miu
kokichi ouma, revealed as a magnificent bastard
miu begs everyone to vote for her, but tsumugi confesses, and she is executed
during tsumugi’s execution, monotaro seems like he’ll be next to die, but monophanie sacrifices herself for him, in line with this chapter’s theme
after this trial, miu and tenko start hanging out, having lost their closest friends (tsumugi and himiko respectively)
chapter 5:
everybody hates ouma: the musical
after it was revealed that he manipulated the events of both chapter 2 and chapter 4, literally everybody suspects him of being the mastermind, or at least a traitor of some sort
he decides to try and enlist miu to help hack into kiibo to make him a minion of his
miu goes along with it, thanks to some masterful manipulation tactics on ouma’s end (he’s good with words, the shit)
kiibo’s software goes blank for a bit, but he eventually gets better thanks to an unforeseen software update
(during the time that kiibo’s offline, we play briefly as the other cast, who are all either preparing to confront or already confronting ouma by this point)
ouma is also shown to be causing injuries to himself, hoping to die by his own hand and cause a trial where nobody knows the real killer, taking everyone with him because they’re all so bad at playing the game
ouma is the victim and nobody knows who killed him, not even monokuma
everyone is hesitant to admit that they confronted him, but only gonta, kaito, and tenko confess to having fought him physically
miu and kiibo work together to reveal that kiibo was still recording during the time he was offline, and they show ouma inflicting injuries to himself
everyone believes that ouma committed suicide, but just before everyone goes to vote, gonta confesses
gonta delivered the killing blow accidentally, not realizing his own strength
over the course of the game, gonta and kiibo had gotten close, and gonta got so angry seeing kiibo malfunctioning that he killed ouma on accident
tenko and kaito both then claim that they killed him, not wanting gonta to die
kiibo has to convince them that voting for gonta is the right thing to do
gonta is executed, and it seems like monotaro is safe, but right at the end of gonta’s execution, monotaro commits suicide
chapter 6:
after talking to monokuma during the previous trial about rules and what to do if the results of a trial were unclear or ambiguous, they realize that the mastermind broke a rule back in chapter 1
the rule being that someone killing more than 2 people isn’t allowed
when kiibo’s attempting to find out who the mastermind could be alongside kirumi, miu, tenko, and kaito, they are given class files for each student
nowhere in either korekiyo or shuuichi’s files do they mention a brother, while in kaede’s, her twin sister is mentioned
after gathering evidence and demanding a retrial of the first case, kiibo confronts monokuma, believing that korekiyo is the mastermind, having hidden his death after causing the deaths of kaede, rantarou, shuuichi, and himiko
it’s revealed that shuuichi was actually the one faking his death, and that he is the mastermind of the killing game
danganronpa is still a show, but shuuichi passes it off as an experimental documentary on how people can be forced to kill, based on a real life set of video games
he confesses that he fabricated his relation to korekiyo, but that it worked well, as korekiyo was a traitor, having worked with shuuichi on his experiment
he also reveals that kiibo was made solely for the experiment, as a camera and an audience surrogate, making him essentially a conduit for amateur sleuths to solve real life murders on TV
this breaks kiibo and we play as the other four survivors to help him
it’s revealed that the show technically hasn’t even aired, and that shuuichi was planning on killing all of them in order to survive to share his findings with the world
shuuichi is thwarted, and the survivors all agree to die alongside him if it means destroying the video
kiibo initiates self-destruct, but after seeing that the others are safe in a bunker, accepts his death and kills himself alongside shuuichi
epilogue:
the survivors are kaito, tenko, miu, and kirumi, subverting the theme number of 3
it’s revealed that rantarou had memories of surviving two other experiments led by shuuichi, explaining the v3 -- this was the 3rd version of his game
the footage is destroyed, and the four survivors walk away from the rubble, unsure of how to assimilate back into society having pretended that nothing happened

Shigaraki x Todoroki!Reader; The Masl
Shigaraki x Todoroki! Reader; The Mask
Enjoy the series! one two three four five six seven
“I was hoping you would come.” Overhaul held her in his arms tightly by her waist, receiving growls from the other villains. “Let her go bitch.” Shigaraki growled as Chisaki just smiled, still holding the masked-girl tightly to himself. “Why? We’re all going to the same room... Let’s go.” Dabi nudged them towards the room at the end of the hallway, walking with Shiro held on his waist to where he was basically carrying her.
“Hmm, so tell me cutie. Why can’t you take your mask off? It’s only just us villains here.” He smirked as she just shook her head, trying to laugh it off. “Oh, no. The mask doesn’t come off. It’s kind of my thing.” Shiro smiled back, but that just had him give her a glare as she entered the large group with the rest of the room. “Don’t try to be funny. Take. Off. The. Mask.” He insisted, but before Shiro could say something back, Dabi pulled her out of his tight grip and pulled her to his side.
“Oh, I see what’s going on here. You don’t have to listen to them dollface, you’re perfectly safe with me.” Chisaki lied as you sat down in the only chair left, the one between Shigaraki and bird face. Oh fun... You sat down, and immediately watched his hand grip the arm on your arm protectively, sending chills up your back. This man scared you, but what could you say? You had acted so tough to Shigaraki, and now you were going to confess to being utterly terrified by Overhaul and his perverted and creepy actions? This was probably how most villains acted, so she would just have to get over it for now. Right?
“We’re all here, so I think we can start. Here’s the blueprint of UA, and where all of the teachers will be during the attack. If we plan it right, we can attack All Might and have Eraserhead and the rest of 1-A on the other side of the school...” As Dabi droned on and on, you felt Overhaul’s eyes staring at you the entire time as he leaned closer and closer to you as the minutes passed. When Dabi ended, he was almost on top of you.
“Anyways, any questions Chisaki? Besides you obsessing over our new recruit, anything else we need to do here, because we’d all like to leave before midnight.” Shigaraki asked, sitting down in his chair, but leaning towards you just a bit to where you only noticed. Why? Was he worried? Why did he care? Of course not.
“Don’t see it as obsessing. She’s beautiful, powerful, and I happen to be quiet interested in her.” Chisaki began stoking his hands through her hair slowly before being tugged away by Shigaraki, who kept one pinkie up at all times. “Tomura, I’m warning you. You shouldn’t touch her with those destructive hands of yours, someone’ll get hurt.” Overhaul grinned, meeting eye contact with the curly-haired man. “You keep touching her and you’re the one who’ll get hurt.” Shigaraki grabbed Chisaki’s shirt and pulled him close to where the two were head-to-head. “Is that a challenge?” Chisaki asked, grinning before Dabi pushed the two grown men away from each other.
“Stop thinking with your dicks and get over yourselves. She doesn’t want a crusty or a bird legs. Come on Shigaraki, we need to get back before the cops fill the streets.” Dabi protectively grabbed Shiro’s arm, pulling her out of her seat and away from the two grown-ass men fighting in the corner. As the League began walking out of the room, Overhaul pushed Shigaraki away and brought a walkie talkie to his lips.
“Mimic, now. She’s in the hallway.” Shigaraki’s eyes widened, realizing what was about to happen. “Dabi!” He screamed to the raven-haired man down the hallway before turning to see a hand reaching out and grabbing Shiro by the arm, pulling her through the wall into an empty room and closing the opening behind her, sealing her in.
“No! No!” Dabi screamed, running to the wall and beginning to blast fire to it, fire beginning to spread throughout the walls and hallway. “Chisaki you’re going to regret that!” Toga screamed as her and Twice began to run towards the man, only to be stopped by another man who appeared from behind the door in a plague gas mask, making their movements extra slow in mid air. “Enough of you two.” He murmured, punching them into the wall painfully.
“Watch it!” Dabi screamed, coming up from behind the guy and punching him in the back of the head, sending the guy to the floor unconscious.
As the room filled with blue flames, smoke, and anger, the three men began fighting to the death. “You bitch! Get back here!” Shiro could hear from the other side of the wall, as she sat there, trying desperately to find a way back. “No! No!” She yelled desperately, finding it hard to breathe with the lack of oxygen. “Please!” She screamed, before feeling a bit woozy. She recognized the use of gas used to put people to sleep, which she wasn’t going to allow. These walls couldn’t be possibly indestructible, could they?
Using her quirk to it’s full potential, she managed to use the ice to blast through one of the walls. As she stepped near the opening she had managed to create, sudden intoxicating smoke and flames appeared around her. The fire couldn’t hurt her due to her quirk, but the sudden heat and smoke filling her lungs made it hard to function.
As much as she knew she shouldn’t she needed to take off the mask. She held it in her hands and began running, following the sound of screaming down the mysterious hallways. Just a few hallways down, Dabi and the other two were battling it out. Shigaraki had already disintegrated the table, his own shirt accidently, and was now trying to punch the fuck out of Overhaul with Dabi’s help. “Go to hell!” Dabi grabbed Chisaki by the throat and pinned him to the floor, holding him by the shirt.
“Tell me where she is! I swear, if you did something to her I’ll kill you!” As Dabi was about to pound his fist into Chisaki, the smoke began to pour through Dabi’s eyes, allowing Chisaki to slip from under him. “Oh yea? What can you do if you’re dead?!” He screamed, lifting a steel pipe from the stairs and whacking Dabi in the back of the head, sending him to the ground.
“And you!” Overhaul grabbed Shigaraki by the throat and began to lift him off his feet before throwing him to the ground, Shigaraki’s skull hitting the hard floor beneath him. Unknowing to both of them, Shiro was watching from behind the corner far down the hallway, terrified. Overhaul grabbed the knife from his pocket and began to pierce it into Shigaraki’s leg, receiving an agonizing scream from the blue-haired man.
“Look at you and look at me! How do you think you can do anything right? Your quirk was meant to destroy, while mine can destroy and bring it back even better!” Overhaul stabbed Shigaraki multiple times before laughing loudly.
“You, one slip-up and you could destroy anyone in your life. Oh wait, you already have Tenko!” Overhaul laughed as Shigaraki’s eyes widened. How did he know his real name, or his past?  Shiro slipped her mask back on, before preparing to attack. “I’m going to make your death as slow and painful as-” Shiro jumped up before sending a spike of ice down the hall towards Chisaki, piercing him through the chest. Woozily, Shigaraki watched as the white-haired girl ran to him worryingly.
“God, you look awful.” Shigaraki commented, looking at her beautiful face covered in dust, her eyes bloodshot from the crying and smoke irritation, and of course the crying. “Well you don’t look very handsome right now either Mr. Hot Stuff.” Shigaraki grinned at her snarky self, so happy that she was okay. He would kill himself if something had happened to her.
“D-did he hurt you?” Shigaraki asked as she knelt next to him, smiling. “Don’t worry about me. You’re going to be fine, let me just-” Shiro stopped talking as her mask fell from her face, the strap on the back having melted from the extreme heat around her. As Shiro’s face was revealed to Shigaraki, he couldn't help but gasp as he began to back up from her.
“N-no! No, there’s no way you’re... you’re her!” He screamed loudly and fearfully, hating that he was in such a vulnerable position in front of... Endeavor’s child. “Did you plan this with him? Are you going to try to kill me?” He asked as tears built up in his eyes, unable to believe his bad luck. The one girl he had fallen for had been a pro hero’s child. He had invited her into his home too, and had trusted her. Heck, he had protected her from such a creep as Chisaki.
“Tomura.” She whimpered, tears beginning to stream down her face as she watched him try to get away from her. “Please. You’re... hurt.” Shiro began to walk towards him, which ended up in fear building up in his eyes even more. “Not another step woman! You come near me, you die!” Shigaraki screamed, raising all five of his fingers towards her, causing her to back up.
“Please Tomura, it’s me.” She cried, tears streaming down her face. “You’ve got to believe me, it’s always been me.” Tomura began to settle down, replaying all the memories of her in his head. She had a high kill count, was brought to the League all bloody and bruised up, and had just saved him just now from Chisaki. There was no way that it all was the same girl... unless. Shigaraki pushed himself onto his feet weakly, and began to walk towards her.
She froze, afraid that he would try to hurt her. But again, this was Shigaraki. He wouldn't kill her right there at that moment, right? Shigaraki stopped right before her, one of his hands gripping the mask that had slipped onto the floor. He raised it to her face to show only her hair, and bright blue eyes. God... it really was her.
“It’s really you.” He whispered to himself, unable to comprehend what was happening. “Y-yea.” She began to answer, before Shigaraki fell into her body, unconscious from the blood loss. “Oh god... oh god, oh god, oh god.” She whispered to herself before lowering him to the ground. Ripping parts of her shirt and jacket off, she used the tears as bandages to put over Tomura’s wounds before running to Toga and Twice, who had fallen asleep under the slow actioned quirk. She froze the back of her mask together, and placed it back on her face as she shook the two awake. “I need you guys to help me.”
She recruited Toga and Twice to carry Dabi back to the lounge, while carrying Shigaraki herself. She watched her two friends carry away her brother before turning to an unconscious Chisaki on the ground. Lighting a single flame on her index finger, she touched his hand and stepped away. “Shiggy, let’s go.” She smiled, picking him up bridal style and beginning to walk away.
“I’ll burn the same hands you touched me with, so you can never touch me again.” She murmured to Chisaki’s body, before following her friends outside. So... Tomura knew her identity. Should she tell Dabi, or would he just freak out? Tomura had smiled at the end, so was he alright?
Obviously he felt freaked out, lied to, and maybe a little betrayed, but she hadn’t done anything wrong. Right? Of course not, just keep her alive. Plus, the way Shigaraki had looked at her had been with a smile, and maybe a bit of happiness. Did he think she was pretty? Heck, the world thought she was pretty, but did he? After all, he was the only one that mattered to her.
“So Senpai, what happened when we were knocked out?” Toga asked when they finally walked inside, drying themselves off from the light drizzle outside. “Oh nothing much, I just was able to kill Chisaki and save the two guys from him. All in a days work, am I right?” Shiro grinned as Twice high fived her.
“You did good kiddo, not bad for our newest member.” Twice grinned, setting the two guys on the table. “Oh my god, what did you guys do now?” Kurogiri stepped into the main room from the hallway to see the four kids, blood splattered, unconscious, burnt, and beyond exhausted.
He looked them up and down, seeing how part of Shiro’s clothes had been burnt or torn up, how Shigaraki was bloody and unconscious, how Toga and Twice was limping and had footprints on their shirts, and how Dabi looked beat up with bruises up and down his arms. “My, you guys are pieces of work sometimes.”

Dragons and Oaths
Shigadabi week day 3
AO3 Link
Summary: For Tenko, moving out of the city was just another bad chapter in his sad, miserable life. But all of that changes when he meets Dabi.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cute / Mythology / Childhood
Tenko was sleeping when he heard the crash.
At first, he didn't move from where he was, under the covers of his bed. The sound had come from outside. It was dead at night, and after the crash, the only sound was the crickets outside. Tenko had heard the noise, so Oboro must have too. Oboro would take care of it, he was strong, and he always protected Tenko. After five minutes of complete silence, his curiosity won against his fear. He got out of his bed, his bare feet meeting the cold floor of his room and he peeked out his window. In his garden, a few meters away from the limiting woods, was a black and purple serpent-like dragon. The scaled creature was long and big. But it was hurt. He could see patches of dark liquid below it and the slow breathing of the monster.
Without thinking, his feet started moving on their own. He ran to the bathroom, where they keep their first aid kit, and then went out to help the dragon. His feet hit the wood as he runs outside. Before, he was half-believing it was still a dream. However, the moment he steps into the grass, he knows it isn't. There is a power emanating from the creature. It's overwhelming, but it amazes him nonetheless.
Now that he is closer, he can see that some parts of the dragon where the black scales seem to be burned off. Tenko, now with a better understanding of the problem, gets to work. He puts burn cream on the damaged areas and then covers it with a bandage. He concentrates on his task and gets so lost in it that, when he gets to the dragons head, he notices the creature's eye is open and watching him.
It's blue, and he can feel it piercing through his soul. It's cold and warm at the same time, and it almost looks like it's shining. Tenko doesn't know how much time he spent staring back at those blue sapphires. The moment is interrupted by Oboro calling his name from the house.
The dragon quickly looks back before flying back to the wood. Tenko feels the air rush next to him, ruffling his hair. Oboro steps out of the house a few seconds after, looking worried and scrambling to him, asking if he is okay.
After the encounter, he doesn't know what to tell him.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moving out of the city wasn't Tenko's choice.
Oboro had thought it would be good for them to get a change of scenery after the shit-storm they survived. Tenko had lost his family in a driving accident, and the man that caused it adopted him. He was a wealthy tycoon and, 'felt so bad about the incident' that he wanted to give Tenko a new home. That was the statement he realised to the press the real reason was that his company was going to release a new product and they couldn't risk the bad publicity. Oboro, or as he first met him, Kurogiri was his assistant and took most of the care for Tenko.
In reality, he was a cop undercover, trying to get enough evidence of Tenko's new adopted parent, illicit activities to put him behind bars. Which, he succeeded eventually. When everything was wrapped up, having grown attached to him, Oboro took him with him instead of letting him go to a foster home. There was a risk of affiliates seeking revenge and trying to achieve it through Oboro and Tenko, so they moved away from the city.
From big building and skyscrapers, now they had clear skies and open fields of their small rural town. Tenko couldn't say he loved it. Bugs were annoying, the Internet was always malfunctioning, and it was so quiet. The city always had a buzz of movement he had become accustomed to, police car sirens, trains, chatter in the street. Now, the most he heard was the wind blowing, rustling grass and leaves, or the hums of insects. Oboro had told him this place was said to be connected with the spirits, but he hadn't believed him.
Until the other night.
Tenko was sure he hadn't dreamt it. If not for the fact that Oboro found him outside one night, but for the half-empty jar of burn cream.
It had been so surreal.
Tenko had saved a real-life dragon. Or at least, he thought he had. After disappearing into the woods, he didn't see or hear it again. Though not for lack of trying. The woods, after his video games, was the only entertaining stuff about the place. It was like living in a fantasy game and him being the main character. He had to be more careful than he was in his games, however. He only had one life, and he couldn't restart it. No matter how much he wanted to.
He didn't know anything about the dragon until two nights later. He had just finished brushing his teeth and gotten ready for bed when a strong gush of wind opened his bedroom window. He went to close it, but when he looked out of it, he saw it again. The black dragon was back. It was posted on top of one of the trees and looking straight at him.
Then, the dragon zoomed towards him. Tenko ducked and closed his eyes as the dragon came inside, through his window. When he opened his eyes, there was no dragon, just a trail of blue flower petals and a boy his age. He had red hair and a black mompe. Shigaraki would have believed a stranger had come into his room if he hadn't crossed eyes with the boy. The piercing blue that locked into his very soul, the same blue the dragon had.
None of them said anything for a while. But then the boy-dragon moved. He kneeled down completely, his forehead touching the wood boards. "I am the eldest Spirit son of the fire dragon of the east, Todoroki Touya, also known as the protector Dabi," the boy said, not looking up. "You helped me in my time of need and saved my life," he raised his head and looked at his face. "I am forever in your debt, and I swear to protect you and be beside you, for now, and ever," he finishes and once again bows his head down.
'WHAT!?'
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ever since then, the dragon became a constant in his life.
He only appeared at night, or when Tenko was alone. He didn't like people, especially adults. Whenever Oboro was near, or he talked about his teachers, Dabi got tense. He guessed it had something to do with his dad. Since the one time Dabi mentioned him, he snarled and growled.
At first, Tenko tried to get rid of him. He had asked Oboro about having a dog one day, and he said he would think about it. Tenko didn't think a dragon was an improvement from a puppy. So, he would close his windows and run away from the boy whenever he saw him. Trying to somehow, make the dragon understand he didn't want his protection. But, Dabi was relentless. He would sit outside his window and watch from a distance.
One day, after a bad nightmare, Tenko opened the window. They talked for hours until he fell asleep, the dragon holding him, and wiping his tears. Since then, his window was always open at night.
Dabi came from the spirit world. A place out there that he could barely imagine. He knew how to do magic, his area was blue fire spells, and he had three younger siblings. Tenko couldn't get enough of his stories, about him, his family, his home. He was really out of touch with technology, though. He jumped the first time he turned on the computer in his room. So Tenko spent most nights teaching him about video games and computers. Dabi wasn't very good at them, but he appreciated having a gaming partner after so long. However, the best part of the whole ordeal was the flying. Sometimes, when he was done with his homework and had a free afternoon, Tomura would slip into the woods, and the dragon would take him into the sky. The first time he asked, he expect Dabi to refuse and tell him he would never carry him. Instead, the smug bastard grinned and said: "Took you a while to ask,".
Flying was amazing. He loved feeling the wind in his face, the fast beating of his heart, the warmth of Dabi under his hands. There was nothing like it. Seeing the trees and houses look doll-size below them, it made him feel free. Up in the sky with Dabi, he was not afraid anymore, nor tense or anxious. It was as if the world itself disappeared, and only the blue sky was real.
Though while having a dragon protecting you was fun, it brought complications Tenko never expected.
One was the blue petals. Every time Dabi transformed back and forth into his human and dragon form, he left a trail of blue petals. He didn't mind them much, since they were proof to him that Dabi was real, that he didn't conjure him from his imagination. He was, however, tired of having to clean up after him. Every morning, Tenko would have to dump piles and piles of the stuff because of the dragon.
Another thing was Dabi's temper.
Tenko was used to kids making fun of him. He was new, pale and scratched beyond repair. He had learned to ignore bullies and keep to himself. Dabi, though, wasn't so forgiving. The first time he told Dabi about how a kid pushed him, which he got a scratch from, the dragon left that night earlier than usual. Tenko had thought he had said something wrong and made the dragon mad. But the next day, that same kid's family, found all of their harvest had gone bad in one night.
But that was the nicest case. One day, another kid played a prank on him, dropping trash water on top of him and Dabi burned their home. Nobody got hurt, but the kid swore that he saw a beast inside his house watching him as he destroyed the place. After that incident, he had to have a very serious discussion with Dabi about what he could do and not to other people.
As the month passed and the weather grew colder, Dabi became one of the highlights of his days. He looked forward to seeing him every night and fly with him whenever he could. Dabi had become more than just a dragon to him. He was the one who listened to him about the most mundane things. He was the one who brought him warmth in cold nights. He was the one who made him forget about the horrible world he was part of. He was the one who could make him smile with just a thought about him.
...
Too bad it came to an end so quickly.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Hey, Tenko! Could you come down for a moment?" Oboro called him from the living room.
Tenko, leaving his homework half done, went down the stair and found that his caretaker wasn't alone. Sitting in the couch, was Aizawa and Yamada with little Shinsou in between them asleep. The two men were Oboro's friend. Tenko only knew that they had gone to High School together and that Aizawa had worked alongside him to put bad guys under arrest. Tenko liked them. They were the closest he ever got to uncles and a cousin, even if Shinsou was too young to do anything fun.
"Hey, little listener!" Yamada greets him. "Why don't you sit down? We got good news!" he tells him, and the kid follows his instructions.
The three men share a look before Oboro starts talking. "We are clear, Ten," he smiles. "We can go back home,"
"B-back home?" he feels as if his world has been shattered into million pieces.
"Yeah!"
"You mean, we have to move? Away from here?"
"Yes, aren't you excited?" Oboro asks and gently caresses his shoulder.
"No!" Tenko snaps, his eyes getting wet. "I don't want to leave!" he screams, waking up Shinsou.
"Tenko, calm down," Aizawa tells him.
"No! You can't take me! I have to stay here!" he knows he is throwing a tantrum, but they don't get it. "We can't leave! We can't!"
"Tenko, nothing will happen to us. The bad people are gone, we can go back home, finally," Oboro keeps talking and tries to get close to him.
"NO!"
In a panic, Tenko snaps and runs. He rushes through the rest of the house and exits through the back door before sprinting to the woods. He can hear Oboro's, Aizawa's and Yamada's worried calls for him. But as he feels the damp grass under his feet, he can't care anymore. They don't understand, he can't leave. Dabi is here, and he can't leave him.
As he goes further into the forest, the voices screaming his name get quieter. He doesn't stop until he gets to a clear patch of the woods, where there are trees, and he can see the blue sky. "Dabi! Dabi!" he calls for the dragon in desperation. Tenko knows he is there when he feels a wind ruffle his hair behind him and he turns around to see Dabi there.
"Tenko? What wrong? Are you-" Dabi asks, worried at seeing the tears in the boy's eyes but gets interrupted as the light-haired one runs into his arms and starts to cry. Dabi, quickly recovering from his surprise, holds the wailing boy as he wraps his arms around him in an embrace.
"We- we are mo- moving a- away from here," he says between sobs. "You'll co- come with, right? You- you promised to stay by- by my side. You can't leave me," he tells the dragon and feels his hold tightening.
"I can't, Tenko," he whispers slowly and sad.
"W- why? Don't you want to be with me?" he asks. It had always been something he avoided talking about with the dragon. The idea that Dabi only stayed by his side because he had to made him feel bitter. Tenko was the happiest with Dabi, the thought of it being a one-sided thing, that Dabi didn't want to be with him, broke his heart.
"There is nothing that I would wish for more," Dabi says, grabbing him by the shoulders and looking straight into his eyes. "But I can't leave. My shrine is here. I can't leave it," he explains, and Tenko can see the honesty and hurt in his eyes.
Tenko starts crying more now. Dabi embraces him and lets him. In the dragon's arms, he feels safe and warm. But the tears won't stop. How could they? It might be the last time he could be here. "No! No! I don't want to lose you!" Tenko keeps wailing and feels gentle hands in his hair.
"You will never lose me, Tenko," Dabi says and starts wiping away his tears. "I will always be with you, as long as you remember me," he places his forehead against him.
For a few moments, the only sounds around them are the wind and Tenko's small hiccups. But that peace is interrupted when they hear Oboro. He is calling his name, worried. Dabi looks at where the sound is coming from and then turns back to him, taking one of his hands in his own. "Please, don't forget me," he pleads as blue flower petals start appearing out of nowhere.
"I won't," Tenko says, and Dabi smiles sadly at him.
In a flash, he feels something soft touch his lips and then a strong gush of wind. Dabi isn't there anymore, but his hand feels heavy. Tenko opens his palm and sees that the dragon left him something. It's as small as his hand and pitch black. A scale. Dabi's scale. He hears his name being called once more. Before going to Oboro, he fills one of his pockets with blue flower petals.
Tenko follows the voice to a path, where a stone shrine with candles and blue flowers is. The moment he sees him, Oboro runs to him and lifts him in his arms. "Don't run off like that again, Tenko, please," he begs. He nods silently as he lets the man hold him to ease his worries.
"Dragon!" Shinsou, who is up on Aizawa's shoulders, suddenly cries, pointing at the sky.
Tenko looks up to see Dabi twirling flying form disappear between the clouds.

I finished Shigaraki’s story so here’s that!
—————————————————
Tenko Shimura was just a boy with a dream, a dream to be a hero. However that dream was impossible thanks to his father, just the idea of it made him angry enough to take it out on little Tenko. Often throwing him outside and leaving him there till morning, Tenko learned to find some comfort in his puppy named Kirby.
Although the rest of his family see what happens to him they did nothing to stop it, all they did was comfort him after. He didn't mind too much, didn't hate or blame them. He knew they were just looking out for themselves too, not wanting to be a victim. His older sister Hana was the one often told him the stories of heros, how they saved people and how strong they were. He always admired them.
But one day when she snuck him into their fathers study to show him that their grandma was a hero too, all went to hell. Their father found out, and Hana blamed him for going in there in the first place. So he was thrown back outside and left there for the night, however Tenko was tired of that. He didn't wanna be treated like that anymore, so when his mother came to check on him...he ran.
He ran for the front door. Shoved Hana out of the way with his elbow, pushed past his grandparents who were coming in from shopping and into the front yard. His mother and father quickly followed after him for different reasons.
"Tenko! Get back here right now!" His father yelled as his wife tried holding him back.
"Darling please! He's just a child! Let me bring him back, you're scaring him." She yelled as Tenko didn't stop running.
"Get off me!" His father yelled in reply and shoved her off him. Hearing his mother's yelp of pain, Tenko quickly turned back and ran towards her to help her. Passing his father.
His mom hugged and held him to protect him from her husband but that only made him more angry. He raised a hand to hit her and- he was shoved away. Little Tenko had gone into some sort of hero mode and even though he was scared of his father, he jumped to save his mother. Shutting his eyes and shoving him back with both his small hands.
Silence filled the air.
Then a scream.
"Darling!" His mother screamed as she ran to her husband and held him in her arms as he slowly started to crumble away. His quirk had manifested, at the worst time. He froze, unsure what to do. Staring at his hands in confusion and fear, his grandparents and sister stood in the doorway also unsure what to do.
"What have you done Tenko?!" His mother screamed at him as she held her nothing but blood and dust now. Falling back to the ground in panic, he seen his mother's eyes. Fear, disgust, and regret. Looking towards to doorway seeing the same in his other family members, he decided to run. He didn't know what else to do.
He heard his name being called but he didn't stop, he just kept running. Not knowing where he was going or what would happen. He didn't care, he was scared of hurting them, scared of himself.

Oboro Shirakumo, a new graduate from UA. Was just on his way home after sorting out some stuff at the school, when suddenly he felt something or someone bump into him. Looking down he found a young boy with back hair, the ends of it being a light blue. The boy seemed to be in some sort of daze, just standing there not saying a word. So he decided he would.
"Are you okay? I didn't see you there, I'm sorry." He apologized as he kneeled down to the boys level. Still no response.
"Where are your parents? What's your name? What are you doing by yourself?" He rambled on with questions as he carefully pushed a strand of hair back to show some of the boys face. Looking down he noticed some blood on his hands but didn't say anything. Afraid he'd scare him.
For the first time in what felt like forever, Tenko looked up to the stranger and didn't see fear. And for the first time since that night, he felt calm and safe. So safe that he felt his eyes get heavy and found himself falling asleep. No literally falling, luckily Oboro had caught him though. Clutching his fist against his own chest as to not hurt the man, Tenko fell asleep in his arms.
"How long have you been walking? Where did you come from? What have you seen? And most importantly... who's blood is on your hands?" Oboro questioned as he started walking to his apartment with no other idea what to do.
Soon the young boy woke up, well rested he was more aware of the situation he was in. Wanting to look around the apartment he was in but also scared of accidentally touching anything, he sat still. Then the man who had saved him came in with a tray of food and drinks, and a smile.
"Hi my name is Shirakumo Oboro, I thought you might be hungry. Please don't be scared I swear I'm not gonna do something weird, though if you think that good job of being cautious." He laughed.
He set the tray down in front of Tenko and sat down across from him, observing him. Staring at the tray Tenko went to grab the cup that held some sort of juice in it, carefully grabbing it with 4 fingers and. Then once in reach of his other hand, held it with both hands. Once he did this it quickly turned into dust, once he'd seen this he quickly pulled his hands away and stumbled back. Fear filling his eyes.
"I-I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... He cried.
Oboro sat there stunned. Realizing it must have been his quirk.
"It's okay. It's your quirk right? What is it exactly, if I may ask."
Tenko looked at his hands, then to the small pile of dust from the once full juice cup. A flashback to his father and how he started to crumble right before him. He shook his head out of the thought.
"..estroy….to destroy. It seems that's all I can do." He said quietly. During the past days while he was walking, he'd pick up stones to toss but before he could, they'd turn to dust. He came to to conclusion that it was his quirk.
"I destroy everything I touch…"
Nodding, Oboro went back to the kitchen and got another cup of juice. He placed on the tray again and looked towards the boy.
"Try again, but only use 4 fingers." He instructed.
Confused and afraid, Tenko stretched out a shaking hand and did as told. And to his surprise, it didn't crumble under his touch.
"Just as I thought, it's only when you use all five fingers. See, if you don't do that you're fine! Now you can enjoy the juice!" Oboro smiled.
Quickly looking to him with wide eyes and a look awe then turning back to the cup, he started trying to drink is as fast as he could. He ended up choking but Oboro was there to pat his back.
The two started to get more familiar with each and days passed by. Oboro still searched for the boys family whenever he could but what took most of his time was trying to help young Tenko get used of his quirk. Going as far to go back to UA to design special gloves based on artist gloves so he could touch things normally.
Oboro learned a couple things as he took care of the boy. One, his quirk was called Decay. Two, he had a habit of scratching himself when he gets anxious, though he doesn't seem to be aware when he does it. Three, his father died and it was the only thing he remembered.
He worried about him not being able to remember anything before his father's death but didn't push it as it caused him to freak out and started scratching himself till he bleed.
And when it came to his name, since he didn't remember what it was Oboro suggested he'd make up a new one. So came Tomura Shigaraki. Tomura meaning to mourn, and Shigaraki taking inspiration from Oboro's own last name. Shirakumo. 9 letters, starting with Shi, course Tomura would never tell Oboro that.
Little did either of them know, at least one of Tenko’s family members didn’t forget him. Because she’s still looking. Looking for her little brother when her mom refused after the accident, because unlike her she still loves him with all her heart. Maybe that day will come where they meet again and he remembers, or maybe it’s better he doesn’t. Only time will tell.

Chapter 1: New Beginning
“Shit!Shit!Shit!”
With a quick glance, he was soon contacted with one the school’s light brown wooden benched being thrown at the end of hallway and breaking from the sudden harsh impact. Causing him to gulp in fear and feeling a bit guilty about the bench’s doom.
“RANTARO,YOU DEGENERATE MALE!!!!”
An angered female voice yelled, not far from currently scared out of his life teen. An array of male’s and female’s sacred yell and yelps were heard not far behind, only adding more to the drama that was caused a minute earlier.
Rantaro body shaken while he ran, he could feel his doom slowly coming up behind him. Shaping into the form to one of the scariest students on the planet…
Tenko Chabashira
Rejected filled the male, why did he ever decide to date a female that could probably kill him? And mostly why dd he think breaking up with said girl in a text message would be better? He should to listens to his childhood best friend and not break up with her until they were in summer break, maybe there he could’ve hidden from the demon.
"Did you hear? Rantaro broke up with Tenko today”
“No way!Seriously?”
“Yeah, now is your chance to finally ask him out”
A pair of upperclassmen female said, innocently walking along the hall. The two females came to a halt once they heard a loud crash coming from a locker not far from them. The two slowly turned their heads to see what was happening, instantly regretting glancing. As they soon came to view to a running Rantaro dodging a student desk, quickly the ow bend down dodging the furniture that would have killed them. Panic filled the halls, all students quickly leaned and hide behind their lockers, in fear of becoming the next victim in this lover’s quirll.
“Am sorry, but this relationship wasn’t working! I was trying to prevent you from being embarrassed!”
Rantaro yelled back, hoping that would calm the angered Tenko. It didn’t… it only made things worse, as she began to throw any items she could grad her hands on. Quickly she grabbed a bat from the ultimate baseball player, shoving him into the locker while doing so. In pure frustration, she tossed the bat at Rantaro, who quickly ducked before getting it.
‘Why does she have to be jealous’
Rantaro thought to himself before his vision was blurred away by what seems to be chalk dust. Knowing he wasn’t safe, he quickly opened the janitor’s closet door and slipped inside. Still not being able to see he rudded his eyes.
“Stupid Chalk”
“H-here”
A shakey male voice spoke, offering a light blue cloth to the blinded male. “Ah thank you,” Rantaro said, gently grabbing the cloth and rubbing his eyes in it. It only took a few minutes to realize that Rantaro wasn’t alone in the janitor’s closet as he hoped he was, causing him to stop in his track. Anxiety filled his mind and body, Rantaro had entered the closet with someone he didn’t know. Rantaro had watched enough horror movies to know that this was a bad sign, usually in horror films when someone entered a room the killer is waiting for them. And currently, thas the situation he was put in. He was the helpless victim, caught off guard by a sociopathic killer who waited for him. Quietly Rantaro gulped, slowly lowering down the cloth he was using. Hoping that he stumbled along with an innocent bystander and not a sociopathic killer.
All he knew was that he was screwed if he was caught by a killer
Thankful his wish was finally answered, as he happened to glance into the beautiful golden eyes of a scrawny sage blue feminine-looking male. The male was currently holding onto his shaken hand, seeming more anxious as Rantaro was. Which brought a new array of questions in his head, why was he locked in the closet? Was he hiding in locker form an ex? Or was he shoved in the closet by a bully? Only causing Rantaro to feel pity for the shaken boy, he brought yet another innocent bystander into his issue against their will. Rantaro felt as guilty as he did about the bench he destroyed, slowly Rantaro began to open his mouth to talk to the mysterious male. But before he couldn’t even get one word out, a loud crash was heard from outside the door.
Starling the young already sacred male, causing him to let out a small yelp. Quickly the boy threw himself onto Rantaro, clinging onto Rantaro’s shirt as if it was like a lifeline. Shaken even more than he was already, Rantaro looked at the poor boy, guilt was now clouding his mindset. He had to help the poor boy, with a small light sigh Rantaro slowly lifted his hand in hope to not style the make. His movements were slow and gentle in the every which way, carefully he placed his hand on the shaken small hand that was holding to him.
A movement that was going to change everything, once Rantaro placed his hand onto the mystery teen’s hand the once was a janitor closet was replaced with a beautiful dark purple galaxy like surrounding. Making Rantaro question everything that was happening, slowly the to began to float in mid-air from where they stood, causing Rantaro to turn his head to look around at the new surrounding. Trying to see if he was the only one seeing this, he glanced over at the mysterious teen. Hoping to get the same ‘aw’ and ‘anxiety’ filled face but got a different response than what he was hoping for.
As Rantaro glared at the male, the golden-yellow eyes were replaced with light blue glowing eyes. Trapping Rantaro in fascination, while also making Rantaro forget what he was about to ask. The longer he stared into the other’s male eyes, the more he felt at ease. All his worries and fears seemed to be melting away with every moment that passed by, he finally for the longest time have felt at peace. But sadly, this didn’t last long as soon as the door was slammed open by the force. What was once a beautiful and magical surrounding, faded into the normal janitor closet. While gently placing the boys back to where they stood.
“RANTARO! HOW DARE YOU BREAK UP WIT-”
“Wait, you have a boyfriend”

Ryoma simply shook his head in response before he'd give a verbal answer to the concerned maid.
"No. I should be asking you that question."His onyx eyes snapped towards the bear after he finished speaking of the additional motive, his chest tightening only a bit before her turn to gaze up at Kirumi again.
"Once upon a time..to keep a long story short, someone would get nervous, and holding their hand, or finger, was a comfort for them.. You never give yourself a break so, this was a test run really."
As blunt as he was, he didn't mean any harm at the last statement.
_______________
Anya would be grateful for Rantaro's shielding for she swore she felt the urge to faint beginning to burn in her brain, especially with her viciously shivering body. Her body acted as if she'd have the horrible case of the flu. Something that, would be the very last thing to worry about in here in this stupid forsaken place.
She wished she was wrong. She wished that bear was made into a pancake once again.. That that stupid --
"Hey Build a Fuck! Anya isn't everyone! So look at us, dipshit!"
The girl genius hadn't known what came over her. Maybe it'd been the anger from the fucked motive currently given. Maybe she was mentally exhausted from the Bear's Tucker and mental exhaustion was a big HELL NO for Iruma.. Or maybe she was in love --
"Sides! I'm the only hot one here that can bully Anya!So how about you go stuff yourself with tide pods and keel over and combust already?! Screw you AND your motive!"
Miu had to take a breath, yet she still stood proudly with her hands on her hips and a targeted glare down at Monokuma. The bear probably.. Wasn't the only one shocked.
Kaede's mouth had been agape, surprised at how bold Miu had been to insult Monokuma head on--
And her defending(?) Anya out of the blue when she'd just been shaking at the motive not too long ago as well .. What made Miu switch so quick?
Korekiyo would chuckle, admiring the intensity of human emotions.. Absolutely beautiful.
Anya herself would look at Miu, surprised just as much as Kaede had been, but still rather grateful. She couldn't help but give a small smile, a smile slightly weighed by the fear in the air. The inventor caught sight of her smile, her face reddening for a short minute before she'd scoff and look away.
"Do-Don't smile like that at me, nerd! Was just fucking correcting him, alright?!"
"Ah, you didn't call her Grinch T-"
She interrupted the robot, suddenly shaking him.
"Where the hell is the off button -"
Rantaro's eyes widened at Miu's sudden outburst, unsure what to think of it. A part of him had been slightly proud of her for defending Anya, but another part of him found it strange; especially from someone like Miu.
Kaito hadn't been any less confused, actually, a bit irked honestly.
Not irked by Miu(yeah, right), but more irked by the fact he hadn't been the one to say what needed to be said. Whatever! There's no time to be feeling sorry for myself, we need to stop Monokuma-
"Well, whatever. You guys may be all buddy-buddy and flirting with each other now, but soon those teenage hormones will wear off, and you'll eventually make the only logical choice; murder." As quick as he introduced the motive, Monokuma made his leave, seemingly disgruntled and bored with the vibe the entire room was going off.
So he left. And let everyone sit in their stew of 'fuck, this is really happening.'
The air was heavy with distrust, fear, and worst of all; despair. Even Kaito's spirits seemed dampened by it. Even so, the astronaut refused to be completely put out like a kitchen fire, and immediately began thinking of a solution to this garbage. "We don't need to panic about this.. I-I'll do something about it."
Rantaro narrowed his eyes at Kaito in surprise and disbelief; what could he do? Was this just an empty promise to keep everyone from losing it and start killing? Rantaro pursed his lips; he knew Kaito wasn't one to lie... And somehow, that only seemed to elevate his anxiety.
Tenko perked up, "Like a degenerate like you could possibly do anything about this! You probably don't even have a plan!" She accused, pointing her finger at him with a suspicious glare. Kaito gulped, he had been caught. "Of course I do! And... And I'm going to start thinking of one right now!"
Rantaro's shoulders dropped, and he sighed. Figures.
Himiko spoke up in a meek voice, teeth chattering slightly, "W- are we all going to die here...? I- In just two days?" Tenko suddenly started frantically moving her arms back and forth, "No! No, of course not! Because.. Because we'll fight back! Yeah!" Tenko nervously cheered, trying to trick herself into thinking they could go against those machines. She didn't have a choice but to put hopeless determination and belief in her skills. Even if those Exisals could probably destroy them in one swipe, she... she didn't want to think about that. Or else,, wouldn't that just mean it was the end?
She didn't want it to end yet. So she was ready to fight.
Kirumi furrowed her brow at Ryouma, silently wondering why he had cared if she was alright. A prisoner, huh? He sure had a heart of gold... To be worrying about an insignificant maid like her. "I don't need breaks. My needs will always be put after others." She was almost robotic in response, repeating the same motto every time like it was a mantra; almost like a broken record.

Rescue
Tumblr media
What’s the matter? You’re looking a little panicked.
Tumblr media
What, things didn’t go according to plan?
Tumblr media
You need to shut it...!
*Tsumugi walks over to an office space and presses a secret button. As soon as she does, a sheet of thick glass cuts her off from the rest of the room, protecting her. A few seconds later, Maki, Tsurugi, Rei and Tenko come rushing into the room.
Tumblr media
Kaito!
Tumblr media
What!? M-Maki Roll!?
Tumblr media
Er...Maki Roll...?
Tumblr media
I honestly wasn’t expecting you to take down that Warrior of Hope Robot so quickly. I have to admit, I’m slightly impressed.
Tumblr media
Well, someone’s cocky...
Tumblr media
Yeah well, now that I’ve been provided the data from that fight, I think a considerable force to handle you would be...Hm...
Tumblr media
One second...
Tumblr media
*Tsumugi presses another button, and the room begins to shake. After a second or two, several exisals fall down from above.
Tumblr media
I’d like to see you try your hand at this!
Tumblr media
Oh...Bring it on!
Tumblr media
Maki! Wait!
*With almost no hesitation, Maki rushes at the swarm of exisals. Three of them lunge at her at once. She jumps over one which tries to low sweep her, dodges the second that tries to punch her, and counters a third by kicking it in the head. She jumps on the tops of each until she’s in the middle of the crowd, and then lands on the floor, proceeding to trip up one of them. This destroys two of the exisals; the one which she tripped and the one it fell into.
Tumblr media
Hey! Save some for me!
*Tenko rushes towards the exisals, kicking them in the heads.
Tumblr media
Don’t just stand there and watch! Shoot them!
Tumblr media
Oh! Right!
*Tsurugi and Rei begin to open fire on the exisals, being careful as to not hit Maki or Tenko.
Tumblr media
HIYAH!
Tumblr media
Hah!
Tumblr media
UGH!
Tumblr media
GRAH!
Tumblr media
Maki!
*One of the Exisals takes a swipe at Maki with it’s tail, and knocks her into the wall.
Tumblr media
You little-!!
*Tsurugi takes aim at the exisal, but then...
Tumblr media
Wha-!? What!?
*He stops, as it suddenly picks up Maki’s body and uses it as a meat shield.
Tumblr media
...! Dammit...!
Tumblr media
Agh...! Maki! I’m coming!
Tumblr media
Ah!
*As soon as Tenko says this, two of the exisals grab her by her arms and hold her where she is.
Tumblr media
You’d better not shoot. If you do, you might risk their lives, you know?
Tumblr media
...Dammit...!!
Tumblr media
Tsurugi, don’t you know any fighting techniques!?
Tumblr media
I do, but they’re gonna do jack shit on robots like these!
Tumblr media
H-Hey! You!
Tumblr media
Huh?
Tumblr media
You see that control panel above my cell? Shoot it!
Tumblr media
...?
Tumblr media
Then I guess you’re out of options...
Tumblr media
Well...I kinda need Maki and Tenko alive, but I guess I can kill the two of you.
Tumblr media
Go on. Finish them!
*The exisals begin to approach Tsurugi and Rei.
Tumblr media
D-Dammit!
*Instinctively, Tsurugi complies with Kaito’s request. He shoots the control panel, and when the bullet hits, Kaito’s cell blasts open.
Tumblr media
HrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGH!!!!
Tumblr media
Wh-What the hell!?
*To everyone’s surprise, Kaito leaps out of his cell, takes a firm run up, bounds into the air and dive kicks the exisal holding Maki! His momentum is so strong, the giant machine is sent hurtling back. Just before they both hit the ground, Kaito catches Maki.
Tumblr media
Heh...Look how the tables have turned. Guess I’m the one saving you now...
*He carries her near a wall, and rests her against it.
Tumblr media
Tenko! Sit tight, I’m coming!
Tumblr media
*WHIRRR!!*
*The exisals instinctively recognize Kaito as a threat and rush towards him.
Tumblr media
BRING IT OOOON!!
*Kaito begins to go ham on the exisals, kicking them in very specific places with very particular accuracy. For one, he’s able to trip it up, and when it’s down, he smashes it’s head in with several strong stomps.
Tumblr media
Wh-What...What is this...!? I...You...!?
Tumblr media
HOW!?
Tumblr media
Holy shit...Kaito Momota can fight!?
Tumblr media
Heheh...Looks like you underestimated your hostage, huh Shirogane?
Tumblr media
...Hm...I guess he’s not just all talk...
Tumblr media
Hey! Save some for me!
*Kaito’s fighting gives Maki the strength she needs to recover, and she rushes up to him. Kaito ducks, allowing Maki to jump kick one of the exisals holding Tenko.
Tumblr media
Yes!
*As soon as Tenko is freed, she, Maki and Kaito show the exisals no mercy. Tsumugi and Rei also reopen fire. After another few minutes, all the exisals are completely destroyed.
Tumblr media
*Heavy breathing* Looks like...your data got it wrong...
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
Yes...I would seem so...An unexpected variable perhaps?
Tumblr media
And unexpected variable called the Luminary of the Stars!
Tumblr media
How did you do that though!? When did you learn to fight like that!?
Tumblr media
I knew it before we even met. I just never got a chance to use it...
Tumblr media
But that’s weird...It seems Tsumugi didn’t know that...
Tumblr media
Wait...that’s odd. Didn’t you say in your universe, you were all characters written for a TV show? And that she’s one of the people who wrote your characters?
Tumblr media
And yet, she didn’t seem to know that Momota had fight in him. Do you deny this, Shirogane?
Tumblr media
I...I can’t exactly do that now. No, I had no idea...
Tumblr media
I knew Kaito had fighting spirit, but not that he actually knew a fighting style...
Tumblr media
I guess that’s something I either forgot about, or that the team didn’t tell me.
Tumblr media
Why wouldn’t the team tell you about certain character traits?
Tumblr media
I don’t know...And there’s no real way of me finding out either...But I’ll look into it regardless...
Tumblr media
Of course. After all, you won’t see the light of day for a while! I’m placing you under arrest!
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
Speaking of unknown variables...I have a quick question...
Tumblr media
It was...Tsurugi Kinjo and Rei Mekaru, was it not? Are the two of you former Ultimates?
Tumblr media
Yes, we are. I was the Ultimate Professor and Tsurugi was the Ultimate Policeman.
Tumblr media
...Hm...No, not quite...I can’t say I remember...
Tumblr media
Oh! Now I get it! My memory really let me down there...
Tumblr media
Dear Mr Kinjo and Ms Mekaru...You WEREN’T Ultimates...You weren’t even part of Danganronpa in the first place...
Tumblr media
What are you saying...?
*Before Tsumugi can respond, there’s suddenly a loud noise behind everyone. They all turn around to see the source of the noise is a mechanical creature with a jetpack.
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
What the hell...!?
Tumblr media
I-Is that...?
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
...
Tumblr media
...!
Tumblr media
Wha-!?
Tumblr media
What the shit!?
*The robot soars past the group. To everyone’s shock, she takes a swing and completely shatters the heavily thick glass shielding Tsumugi from everyone else.
Tumblr media
HUGHG!
Tumblr media
...!
*Without a word, she grabs Tsumugi by the throat and then soars off with her.
Tumblr media
AH! It took Tsumugi!
Tumblr media
What the fuck is going on!?
*Tsurugi aims at the robot.
Tumblr media
Wait! Don’t shoot her!
Tumblr media
Hey! Get back here!
*Maki, Tenko, Tsurugi, Rei and Kaito rush after the robot...

Beta AU - Main story: Chapter 2, daily life (Part 1)
Note of the author: Gay. And actually some nice stuff. I won’t cover the entire daily life part, as you probably guessed from the title. It turns out the daily life part was longer than I expected, so it will be in 3 parts.
A thing I forgot to add was where the labs are placed. I updated the info page so you can see where the opened labs are.
Chapter 2: The wolf and the lamb - Daily life
Day 5 since the beginning of the game. 7 AM.
Shuichi had trouble sleeping that night, the vision of Gonta’s corpse and Tenko brutally dying was playing on loop in his mind.
He saw the first rays of sunshine through his window and decided to stop trying to sleep. Perhaps he could try playing a soothing song in his lab, that would make him feel better, he hopes.
After taking a shower and getting dressed up, he left his room. The morning announcement was in an hour, but he needed to go out. He went down the stairs and noticed Kaede leaving her room as well. She had a faint smile on her face, but Shuichi could tell she hadn’t sleep well either.
“Good morning, Kaede.”
“Good morning!”
“Good morning…”
A third voice made its entrance. It was Maki. The three decided to go to Shuichi’s lab, after he suggested them to go there for some time before the morning announcement.
Shuichi was slowly mentally waking up, meanwhile Maki and Kaede were chatting behind him. Kaede was complimenting Maki on her ability to help in the trial, but Maki brushed it off as basic tailor knowledge.
But the moment they opened the main door, they were met with an indescribable sight.
One of the Monokubs, Monokid, was there, completely destroyed, and so presumably dead. The robot's foot was hanging from a rope and the rest of his body in small pieces scattered across the floor, with small traces of blood around it.
They stood there, completely baffled by what they were seeing. The rules stated that any type of violence against the headmaster was prohibited, but did that include the Monokubs? Who even was able to-
Shuichi’s thoughts were interrupted when Monokuma popped up out of nowhere.
“Boohoo! My precious Monokid, destroyed and shattered to pieces! Such despair!”
Kaede panicked. “N-none of us actually did this I-”
“Nah, Monodam did it.”
She blinked. “Huh?”
The bear didn’t look shaken up at all. “He was babbling about everyone getting along and Monokid getting in the way, so he destroyed him.”
Maki rolled her eyes. “What a father you are.”
Monokuma shrugged. “Hey, Monokid wanted to include him in miss hero karateka’s execution, but SOMEONE can’t do their job properly!”
Shuichi was extremely confused. The monokubs were killing each other? That would be for the best, but who knows what they have in mind.
“Anyway, shoo! I gotta clean this mess.” he grumbles. “Kids these days...”
They left without saying a word. They would have to explain once everyone was there. Or perhaps that wouldn’t be necessary if Monokuma decided to do the job himself.
When they arrived at the violinist’s lab, Shuichi asked if they had a specific song in mind, but Kaede told him to play the song he wants to play. After all it was his idea to play some music. And besides, neither she nor Maki were music experts.
Shuichi went through some of the music sheets before finding one of his favorite pieces.
He placed it on the desk and sat down to play. Unfortunately that was a song not meant for violin solos, and was often played by both a pianist and a violinist. But that didn’t matter. Shuichi wanted to play a song to calm both himself and the girls down. Not to perform like the whole world was watching.
(BGM)
Kaede smiled and took out a notebook to start writing. Maki closed her eyes and let herself get lost in her thoughts.
When the song ended, Shuichi looked at the two girls. Maki was sleeping on Kaede’s shoulder and the other girl was violently blushing and unable to write anything down. She looked at the boy with distress written on her face.
Shuichi chuckled. “Do you want to wake her up?”
Kaede was a blushing mess. “I- uh…” she took a deep breath. “To be honest I don’t mind her sleeping on my shoulder. It… Feels kind of nice actually.” she wrapped her fingers around the sleeping girl’s. “I think I’m gonna stay here for a while. I want to enjoy my time here even though it’s not exactly the best situation.”
She rested her head on Maki’s. “And even if I were to die here, I at least want to be with the people I love.”
Shuichi smiled. He was happy for them. But he felt sad remembering the situation they are in.
He left the room to give the girls some space. They would probably be woken up by the morning announcement, but at least they would have enjoyed their time in his lab, he thinks.
He went outside to get some fresh air and noticed Kokichi sitting on the grass, looking at nothing in particular, so he decided to join him.
However the smaller boy got startled by the taller one’s sudden appearance. Shuichi apologized and Kokichi brushed it off, that it was just him being himself. The violinist noticed him stepping back to make some space between them, even though they weren’t that close.
After some silence, Shuichi tried to start a conversation. “You and Himiko look rather close, did you two become friends?”
The first reaction of the boy in black was to raise the collar of his sweater above his nose to hide his face. “I… Yeah, you could say that. She is nice to me, but I don’t know why.”
Shuichi thought for a second. “Himiko looks genuinely kind, compassionate and energetic, it feels like she wants to share this positivity, perhaps that’s why she hangs out with you.”
Kokichi didn’t seem to agree, but decided not to respond.
After a moment of silence Kokichi got up and brushed off the dirt on his sweater. “I just needed some fresh air, I’ll go back to my room.” he didn’t even wait for Shuichi’s answer to leave.
He sighed. He didn’t know if it was because he said something wrong, if Kokichi didn’t like him or simply because he was shy, but Shuichi was a bit troubled by the end of the conversation. He hadn’t heard much from him, but he could tell he needed some help. He hoped Himiko was helping him in some way.
Shuichi decided to go to the dining hall, to give a hand with the breakfast if possible.
Kirumi was alone in the kitchen, cutting some apples with a precision that was almost scary. The way she held the knife to cut the fruits was almost hypnotic.
“Do you need anything?” she asked, snapping him out of his thoughts. In hindsight her gaze was terrifying.
“Ah- no actually. I was wondering if you needed any help with the breakfast.”
She got back to cutting the apples and simply replied “I am a maid. It’s my duty to make those tasks.”
Shuichi wanted to respond, but she probably wouldn’t take no as an answer. He left to go to the dining hall, where actually no one was there.
The morning announcement played, and Shuichi just rubbed his eyes. The others started coming as well.
Kirumi brought the food and drinks, to serve everyone. She had remembered by now what was everyone’s favorite food. Shuichi got his blueberry pancakes, but decided to wait for Kaito and Rantaro, who weren’t here yet.
It didn’t take long for them to arrive. Kaito looked a bit tired, but that was to be expected from what happened the day before.
Rantaro, Miu, Kaito and Shuichi ate in silence, mostly because no one had any conversation subject in mind.
Soon after, Monokuma showed up. Claiming it was to give a prize for surviving the first class trial.
If looks could kill, Kirumi and Ryoma would have destroyed the robotic bear as soon as he showed up.
Keebo let out a robotic sigh. “Just get to the point. Even though this doesn’t concern me, the others would like to eat in peace.”
The rest of the Monokubs showed up as well with of course everyone noticing the blue one’s absence. After another petty argument, they gave the rewards, which were “a dragon gem, an ocarina, an ancient passport and a hexagonal crank from some zombie game” as they put it.
The bears left soon after. Shuichi was holding the ocarina to inspect it. That looked like a real one, at least.
Rantaro suggested they went to inspect the academy in groups, to see if there were anymore hints about their whereabouts. He suggested 4 groups, one for each item.
Shuichi was leading the group with the ocarina, which were himself, Kaito and Miu.
Tsumugi, Ryoma, Kirumi and Keebo decided to take care of the passport.
Korekiyo, Angie, Maki and Kaede would investigate the crank.
Rantaro led the last group with the dragon gem. His partners were Kokichi, Himiko and Angie.
After finishing their breakfast they began to investigate.
They decided to look outside since two groups were already indoors. They later found a building that looked abandoned, but had a a sign with notes in front of it. Shuichi may not be an ocarina expert, but he could try playing the notes. After a few tries he managed to get it right, and the plant covering the door withered away, to the other two’s surprise.
The building was a pool, according to the entrance sign.
Miu smiled. “Nice! We could do a pool party sometime!”
Kaito winced at the remark. “Yeah.... Without me.”
“Come on... I’m sure you have a sexy body underneath that shirt...”
Kaito’s eyes widened at the flirty response. “What?? My body is fine, but back off! I just don’t like swimming!”
She chuckled. “Is it because you can’t swim, then?”
“No! I just said I don’t *like* swimming!”
The two bickered for some time before Shuichi fake-coughed to get their attention.
“Perhaps we should look inside.”
The pool area had a nice warm and modern aesthetic, and had surprisingly less weeds than the exterior let believe. Miu whistled in admiration.
“Damn, damn! That looks good, but it might as well become my playground!”
Shuichi raised an eyebrow. “Huh? Is swimming one of your passions?”
She laughed. “Nah, but look at this!” she extended her arms, to show the walls around them. “That’s a perfect canvas for me! I’m a street artist, it’s my job to paint the entire walls just as I please!”
Kaito looked skeptic. “Won’t Monokuma count it as vandalizing? Is it in the school rules?”
Before Miu could think about a response, the four remaining monokubs appeared out of nowhere. The yellow one talked first.
“Painting the walls isn’t considered vandalizing, nor it is against the school rules.”
The pink one continued. “However if you do vandalize as in destroying or removing equipment, it will be replaced!”
The red one pointed at the set of rules they hadn’t noticed. “Also, swimming at nighttime is against the rules! Even touching the water is prohibited!”
Monosuke shrugged. “It would be unfortunate for someone to have an accident involving someone drowning.”
Shuichi imagined it was because it would be “boring” for them to have a class trial where someone just drowned by themselves.
The bears left. The three friends looked at each other. “Now what?”
They decided to get the others to see if they were successful in their research. They found Tsumugi’s team but Kirumi was missing. They had just found out that Kirumi’s lab opened, but she didn’t want the others to disrupt her while she was rearranging her stuff. They had found it strange but the lab didn’t look suspicious from what they saw.
They decided to help Rantaro’s group since they were the closest to them and the passport only gave access to one lab.
They found Rantaro in his own lab, that just opened. It wasn’t the largest, but still had 3 minimalist beds, a few shelves that Rantaro was exploring and a large work space. He noticed the group and waved at them.
“So, have you guys found anything? Come in if you want.”
Perhaps seven people were a bit much in the lab, so the rest of Tsumugi’s group decided to find the others from Rantaro’s group in the meantime.
The three others stepped in the lab and looked around. The lab had this ruined aspect, but more because it was deliberately damaged than abandoned like the rest of the school.
Shuichi looked at the shelf Rantaro was going through. “What type of products are in there?”
Rantaro put a white plastic bottle back where it was from. “Mostly emergency stuff medics use. Bandages, crutches, a lot of disinfectant products, medical alcohol and tools for emergency surgeries.”
Kaito looked a bit worried. “You think anything in there could be used to... You know...”
The medic scratched the back of his neck. “If you’re talking about the chemical products nothing can exactly kill you if taken in a small dose, so don’t even try. I would notice if something went missing from my lab. Also...”
He took a small bottle, opened it and approached it to Kaito’s nose. “That stuff smells a lot. It’s easy to tell when it’s in your plate or drink.”
Kaito backed off pretty quickly.
“So unless you decide to drink an entire bottle by yourself, you should be fine.”
Suddenly, Himiko ran to them with Kokichi by her side. “Miu! You’re here!”
She got up. “What is it, twinkle?”
The smaller girl smiled. “Your lab is open! Kaede’s lab is open too but since she’s not here yet...”
The street artist’s eyes widened. “For real? C’mon let’s go!” she almost ran off.
Once arrived, they saw the spacious room that was Miu’s lab. She looked around in awe the empty walls waiting to be filled. The walls were light grey and the room was well illuminated by the neon lights on the ceiling.
“I think I’m in heaven.” her sparkly eyes made Rantaro chuckle.
“There’s a door right here, is there a second room?”
They turned to the door with a window in the middle. Himiko shrugged. “We didn’t check since it’s not our lab.”
From what they were seeing, it looked like some kind of chemical lab. her eyes widened. “No way... Is that...”
She opened the door to get a better look, and got overjoyed by this room. Everyone else was quite confused, except for Kaito, apparently.
“Miu, what is this?” Kokichi asked her.
She laughed. “You uncultured swine! Remember that I make my own fluorescent paint!” she pointed her thumb to her face with a proud grin. “That’s what makes my work different from the others.”
She went the shelf in the corner of the room and opened it. It was full of colorants and chemical products that Shuichi assumed to be the ingredients used to make the paint she was talking about.
“It’s perfect.” she says.
Rantaro took one of the bottles and examined it. “I understand why your lab has this part in it. But that stuff doesn’t look safe to manipulate.”
She flicked the boy’s nose, snatched the bottle with two fingers and took a few steps away. “You don’t have to worry about it, sweetie.” She turned her head to him. “You’re talking to ‘the firefly of the city’ in person. That stuff is child’s play for me now.”
Kokichi didn’t look reassured at all. “Still... An accident can happen really easily.”
Himiko put her hand on his shoulder and smiled. “I think we should trust her with her stuff. She seems to know what she’s doing.”
After the street artist’s lab it was time to check the other labs. When they left the lab they met the last group who was done checking with the crank.
Apparently the area behind a wall was opened now, with a casino and a love hotel.
Miu chuckled. “Damn, does that bear wants us to kill each other or to fuck each other?”
Korekiyo sighed. “At this point I feel like I should stop wondering what his intentions are.”
They decided to join the rest of the group to Kaede’s lab. It looked similar to the library, but it had a warmer atmosphere, and a large desk in the middle. The lab looked like a library that would belong in a fantasy novel.
They were about to close their research, until Tsumugi showed up, panting.
“There’s... One last lab that opened.”
Rantaro raised an eyebrow. “We scanned the entire building, are you saying there was a hidden room?”
She shook her head. “No it’s... Another building.”
They went outside and noticed that there was, indeed, a new building, not so far from the shrine of judgement. It looked like a cottage, which was weird when you compared it to the rest of the buildings.
“Have you seen which lab it was?” Shuichi asked. She didn’t even look at the him.
“It’s better to show you in person.”
After a short walk they stood before the building and Tsumugi opened the door.
It was Gonta’s lab.
The room was invaded by plants, there were shelves filled with books and other shelves had animal skulls and bones it it. It sent a shiver down Shuichi’s spine, but that was to be expected for a zoologist.
The lab would have made Gonta happy, but he wasn’t there anymore. Now it was just this empty building that looked like a hunter’s shack.
No one was sure about what they should do with the lab, so Rantaro suggested they should leave it as it is, just like Tenko’s lab.
After a moment of silence, Angie asked for the attention of the group. When she was exploring the second floor, she found a treasure chest with some sort of flashlight in it. Since she didn’t know what to do with it she asked Monokuma to help her, to everyone else’s dismay.
After she said that, a bell ringed and Monokuma appeared on the monitors of Gonta’s lab.
“This is an important announcement! Everyone, please gather at the gym!”
The screen shut off almost instantly. They had no choice but to do as the bear said.
Once at the gym, Monokuma showed up as well with the peculiar flashlight. He explained it was a flashback light, and would be used to help them recover their memories.
Shuichi glanced at Rantaro, who looked already annoyed. “It’s already your fault our memories are lost. Why should we trust you about this and why on earth would a flashlight help us recover memories?”
The bear laughed. “Aww, I bet there were a lot of naysayers and skeptics when the telephone was invented too.”
“That’s not the point.”
“The flashback light can treat various symptoms of memory loss, the light it emits stimulates the basal ganglia and hippocampus. Not just that, but physical-”
He interrupted himself. “Explications are boring, but basically it works like that.” he disappeared right after.
“Now hold on a sec-” Rantaro didn’t even finish his sentence.
Shuichi crossed his arms. “Do you think we should use it, Rantaro?”
The green haired teen picked up the flashback light and examined it. He took a few seconds to think about an answer. “That flashlight looks extremely fishy, not gonna lie.”
Ryoma rolled his eyes. “Duh. It’s Monokuma giving it to us. But we won’t be able to investigate anything if we don’t take risks. Unless you have any clue on how to use a goddamn pool at our advantage.”
Rantaro sighed. “As much as I hate to admit he’s right.”
Miu looked skeptical, but agreed. “I can’t tell anything since I know nothing about human anatomy but I trust you.”
The others agreed as well, and Angie turned on the flashlight.
The memories flowed through their brains, and after what felt like an eternity the world went back to normal. Everyone was shocked by what they remembered.
Erasing their own memories... Fleeing because of the ultimate hunt... But not being able to remember why they were being chased in the first place.
Shuichi was extremely disturbed. He remembered running and running, but felt frustrated because he had no idea why. The flashback light didn’t give all the info they wanted. He looked at the “leader” of the group to get his opinion.
Rantaro looked like he had seen something way more traumatizing.
There was this mix of confusion and anger on his face that scared Shuichi at first. he closed his eyes, took a deep breath and stood straight.
“I’m guessing everyone saw the same thing?” he asked the group.
“If we’re talking about fleeing the ultimate hunt, then yes. However I am unable to remember why we were the targets.” Keebo replied.
Tsumugi put a finger on her chin. “There is a possibility we were fleeing this killing game targeted for us ultimates, and we lost.”
Hoshi huffed. “That wouldn’t even surprise me at this point.”
Korekiyo narrowed his eyes. “Erasing our memories so we wouldn’t become targets anymore for this twisted game.”
Angie extended her arms in joy. “Let’s talk about the positive news! At least we know why we’re here!”
Maki crossed her arms. “Those are just speculations. We don’t know for sure.”
Kaede smiled at her. “But that’s one more step in our investigation!”
That didn’t seem to reassure a lot of them, though.
Kirumi suggested they should try to calm down and think about this over a meal.
They agreed and walked to the dining hall. Shuichi overheard a conversation between Keebo and Kirumi, with the maid asking him how did he even recover memories, since the flashlight was functioning for humans. Keebo was confused at first, but explained that his vision was simply an artificial version of the humans’, which was probably why he remembered as well.
After a calm lunch, they left in separate ways to do their activities.
Miu and Kaito were in the street artist’s lab, presumably painting.
Maki was sewing in her lab. Tsumugi and Angie were here too, probably to keep her company.
Kaede, Kokichi and Himiko were at the casino, for some reason.
Kirumi and Korekiyo were relaxing in the maid’s lab. Now that Shuichi thought about it, he hadn’t seen what the lab looked like yet.
Rantaro and Ryoma were in the medic’s lab, but judging by Rantaro’s mood earlier, he preferred not to disturb him.
That left Keebo, who was in Gonta’s lab, for some reason.
Shuichi and Keebo were not exactly friends, but that was an opportunity for him to get to know the robot better.
When the violinist arrived, Keebo was staring at nothing in particular. He was like frozen in place.
“Keebo?”
He didn’t move.
“Um... Keebo?”
He put a hand on his shoulder. The robot got startled and emitted some strange noise before actually talking.
“Sorry, it looks like my circuits went off for a second.”
Shuichi shook his head. “No, it’s alright. Are you okay though?”
He smiled. “Yes, I’m okay. I sometimes space out like this, nothing to worry about.”
Shuichi looked around. “Why were you in Gonta’s lab though?”
Keebo gently passed his fingers on one of the shelves not to damage anything. “I don’t really know. I wanted to know more about him. What he was into. And I thought the lab would give me a clue about this.”
He opened one of the windows and took on of the smaller skulls, which looked like it belonged to a rodent.
Shuichi was curious. “Do you think these are real?”
The robot gave him the skull. “I cannot tell, since my sense of touch is not very developed.”
He took the skull and brushed his fingers on it. “Those are replicas. It’s plaster, I think.”
“I see.”
They put back the skull and left the lab. They sat on the ground and talked to pass the time. It was mostly them comparing their ways to live, as a robot and a human. At rare occasions the robot would lag for a bit, even if it was just for a few seconds. Perhaps that was the reason he didn’t call himself the ultimate robot.
~ I’m bad at Free time events episode 1, just consider it’s the evening now ~
Everyone ate dinner more or less separately, to Kirumi’s dismay. Himiko assured her that she didn’t need to stay the entire time, and that it was okay for her to take a break. The maid sighed and left the dining hall, saying she will be in her lab if anyone needed anything.
Shuichi ran up to her when no one was looking.
“What is it, Shuichi?” she didn’t seem mad or anything. Perhaps it was just her natural aura that was frightening.
“Um... Could I visit you lab if you’re okay with it? I was curious since I didn’t even get to see it.” he was more worried that she was hiding something, but he decided not to say that.
Kirumi looked like she was analyzing his expression to see what his intentions were.
“Sure. Follow me.”
The more he walked alongside her, the more worried he became. A part of him was begging him to run away and pretend nothing ever happened, but he couldn’t bring himself to do so.
When the two arrived at the door, Shuichi unconsciously held his breath.
“You look tense. Are you okay?”
The question startled him. “Ah!- Sorry, I’m fine, don’t worry.”
She opened the door. The lab looked like a dining hall from a Gothic mansion, it was not very illuminated. The furniture looked fancy, with expensive plates and glasses exposed.
“Is there anything you needed to see?” she asked.
Shuichi looked around. “What even are in those drawers? We got the everything necessary in the kitchen after all.”
She approached one of the drawers and opened it. “It’s mostly fancier than in the kitchen. I’m guessing that would be to fit a certain ‘aesthetic’, like in the others’ lab. It’s not uncommon for me to work in those large mansions.”
Shuichi chuckled. “You too, huh?”
She raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”
“I’m used to perform private concerts in rich people’s homes. It’s the type of wealth I’ll probably never achieve.”
The maid sighed. “Sometimes I do wish to take a break. My job can be really exhausting when it comes to certain types of clients.”
He faintly smiled. “I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to be a maid full time, but performing for hours for two or three people at most isn’t easy, even with experience.”
“I understand.”
She thought for a few seconds. “Please do not take offense in what I say, but I can see that you lack confidence, whether it is about leading the group or simply in social interactions.”
A shiver went down Shuichi’s spine. “Do I?”
Her eyes widened. “Oh, pardon me if this sounded strange. Those are just the impressions the class trial gave me. What I meant is...”
She paused for a second, then sighed. “If... Another class trial occurs, perhaps the culprit won’t be as merciful as Tenko. Perhaps cornering them would be necessary, and being passive would lead to nothing.”
“For a reason I can’t point out, the others followed your lead, so I did as well. But I suggest you work on your confidence.”
“Of course we shouldn’t rely on you too much, I know that better than anyone else as a maid. But that would also help the group in those hard times.”
Shuichi didn’t know how to respond. That sounded right, but he was surprised nonetheless. “Thanks a lot, Kirumi.”
He waved at her and left her lab. He exhaled a deep breath he didn’t know he was holding. Perhaps he could talk to Kaito about this, he who seemed really confident in himself. But the nighttime announcement was approaching, and according to his monopad, Kaito was already in his room, so perhaps the next day would be better.
Shuichi took a shower and let himself fall onto his bed. Tomorrow would be another day.

For the ShigaDabi fans who wanted a 'Its your power' scene with Shig and Dabi. Here's something different. Shigaraki Tomura or Shimura Tenko? 'Its your name.' If he ever questions or chooses which to go by, and Shigaraki doesn't just have to be AFO's name or the one he gave to Shig. Either way, AFO's given it up now. Its Shig's name and he can change the meaning and do what he wants with it. Symbol of freedom, not terror. Names and quirks go almost hand in hand, don't they?
Ok the reason I took so long to answer this was bc I wanted to write a little something for it so here
All Might’s words had ground everything to a halt. In the epicentre of the crumbling city, Shigaraki Tomura stood, stock still. His victorious rampage stopped by one simple phrase.
“This isn’t who you are, Tenko!”
The name had triggered something in him. His mouth felt dry, his head pounding like it was trying to tear itself apart. It hurt, and he clutched at his hair, at his head like he could hold himself together. All Might, even in his pathetic true form, able to find just the right nerve to strike.
“Shigaraki isn’t you! Shigaraki was him!”
“Stop...” Shigaraki muttered, covering his face. Heroes had taken everything from him. They couldn’t take his identity too. But then... was it his identity? Or were they right? Was he nothing more than All For One’s puppet? An extension of his whims? He certainly wasn’t Tenko anymore. No... No, he wasn’t that scared child, he never would be again, he’d been taken and moulded and poisoned and corroded...
A hand fell on his shoulder, too hot. Almost burning. He startled badly, looking up. His vision swam and he could see the shapes of the heroes a little ways off, nothing more than blurry colours, and his breath was coming in shallow pants. Another hand fell on his other shoulder, and then he was struck across the face, hard. Dabi swam into focus, blue eyes burning with his signature fire, piercings glinting in the light of the wall of flames he’d put up between Shigaraki and his persecutors. Cutting them off in a ring of blistering heat that made the air a haze.
“Shigaraki.”
No... No, not Shigaraki... Not him...
“Tomura.” Dabi hit him again, harder. He tasted blood. “Fuck’s sake, think.”
“I’m not him... I can’t...” He couldn’t destroy the heroes. He wasn’t a centuries-old abomination with more power than any of them. He was just- just-
A boy. Standing in the wreckage created by a quirk he barely understood.
“Shut up.” Dabi hissed, snapping him out of his thoughts. “Don’t give me that crap. So what if you’re not him? He’s a fucking asshole. You don’t have to live your life in his shadow.” A lick of flame danced up Dabi’s jawline, smoke seeping from between his stitches. Shigaraki just stared at him, dazed. “Oy, Shigaraki. Listen to me.”
“’M not...” He murmured. “I’m not Shigaraki.”
“Fuck that! It’s your name!”
Shigaraki blinked.
“You don’t have to do what he wanted you to do! You don’t have to be his puppet! No one ever called him Shigaraki! It’s your fucking name, you make your own history! You carve your own goddamn path!” He gestured wildly back towards the rest of his people- his friends. “You think any of them would have followed him to hell and high water? No! They follow you! You’re not the spawn of a fucking hero, nor are you the son of All For One! You’re one of us!” He was shouting now, his hold on Shigaraki’s shoulders tight enough to hurt. “It doesn’t matter if you don’t live up to his legacy. We’re with you. I’m with you.” His voice trailed off a little. “I’m with you, Shigaraki.”
Shigaraki took a breath, and some of the pain in his mind seemed to ebb away. His fingers twitched, and his body seemed to relax a bit.
“We’re gonna kick their asses, and we’re gonna make our own world, yeah? A world where we don’t have to have shit-all to do with the ones who raised us.”
Red eyes flicked up to meet blue, and then arms flung around his neck and their lips met, rough and messy and breathless and perfect. Dabi’s flames flared as they lost themselves in each other, and by the time they broke apart both where breathless and flushed.
“Let’s destroy them.” Shigaraki murmured, a new surety in his eyes, and Dabi felt a grin split his lips.
“Yeah. Let’s destroy them, Shig.”

BnHA 235: How Do I Turn This Flashback Off
Previously on BnHA: Re-Destro plucked off three of Tomura’s left fingers like flower petals and also destroyed one of his Emotional Support Hands in the process, prompting Tomura to have more flashbacks. We learned that AFO specifically gave Tomura the hands so that Tomura would never get over the trauma of the whole experience (like, he even told him this directly, wtf). We then got more flashbacks of Hana, as well as new flashbacks of Tomura’s mother and grandparents. Our boy then started to use his quirk on RD with only two fingers, which prompted RD to be all “wha?!” and let him go and finally realize that Tomura was going through a good old-fashioned shounen awakening process. Not wanting to be on the wrong end of this, he powered up himself and tried to finish Tomura off. But as he tried (and failed) to deliver a final blow, Gigantomachia finally came storming into town. At the same time, Tomura finally remembered everything (!!!) and got this really sad look on his face, and holy shit you guys the hype for this next chapter is real.
Today on BnHA: The tragic story of the Shimura family is finally revealed in all of its inevitably doomed glory. This chapter deserves an introduction from Lemony Snicket. This is not a fun time you guys. Baby Tenko was pure and idealistic and wanted nothing more than to be a hero just like All Might (and hey thanks Horikoshi, that was a nice heart I had once before you ripped it out and stabbed it 27 times here), and his father was a bitter and broken man harboring unresolved abandonment issues which he needlessly took out on his own children because humans are flawed and sometimes terrible. And we all know how the story ends, so if you happen to not have the stomach to watch terrified little boys being beaten by their parents, or cute little dogs getting hugged and then crumbled to dust offscreen, or if you don’t feel like getting faked out by Horikoshi half a dozen times because he’s a fucking troll who knows full well what he’s doing, might I suggest putting this chapter down and taking a stroll on over to the theater next door? It’s not too late to see a film about a happy little elf.
(All comments are my unspoiled reactions from my initial readthrough of the chapter. I did a quick edit for grammar and clarity immediately afterward, and added one or two ETAs in the process, but aside from that there are no changes.)
  YESSSSSSSSS
Tumblr media
YOU GUYS, I HAVEN’T EVEN FUCKING CLICKED TO THE CHAPTER YET AND MY HYPE HAS ALREADY ASCENDED TO NEW UNPRECEDENTED HEIGHTS. DID I NOT SAY??
Tumblr media
AND LO AND BEHOLD, MY GD MIND IS BEING LOST AS WE SPEAK OMG
anyways so yeah I fucking called this back in chapter 222, along with a zillion other people I’m sure. but still, feels good
and this officially makes Tenko the fourth character to receive an “origin” chapter now, after Deku (chapter 01), Shouto (chapter 39), and Katsuki (chapter 62). so that’s actually a pretty big deal! this whole thing just makes me really happy because I love seeing such a carefully planned character arc come together, and it’s so pleasing and gratifying to see the pieces falling into place exactly as they should. it’s like watching one of those “oddly satisfying” youtube compilations. this is the manga equivalent of this. god I can’t wait to watch it play out
anyway so here’s the color spread we were promised last week! awesome
Tumblr media
look at all of these characters we haven’t seen in a couple months. it’s a testament to how thoroughly entertaining this arc has been that I haven’t missed class 1-A nearly as much as I would have expected. which isn’t to say I don’t miss them dearly! but it’s just, normally I’d be practically going through withdrawals if you took my favorite characters away for such a long time. and I mean, we cut away right when Kacchan and Shouto had finally gotten their hero licenses, and Deku was going through “AFO’S POWER!?!?” angst, and so forth! and then we just left them for almost half a fucking year! that’s insane!!
but like, the shocking thing to me is that I genuinely have been pretty cool with it. that’s how compelling this arc has been to me. it’s nothing at all like the Basement Arc where I was all but ready to start slapping posters of Bakugou’s face on the walls asking “HAVE YOU SEEN THIS CHILD?” like, I am sincerely shocked to tell you the truth. this arc could go on for another month or two and I probably wouldn’t mind, so long as the quality remained this high. and that’s the biggest compliment to Horikoshi that I can think of. good fucking job dude
that being said, I don’t think this arc will continue much longer, and it is awesome to see the 1-A kids again all the same, so let’s just take in this page real quick before finally getting on to the Tragic Tenko Memories action
I like how Bakugou and Deku have both incorporated elements from their hero costumes into their orange ensembles for no real reason. but they are literally the only two characters who have done this, so I feel it’s worth pointing out
speaking of things that are there for no real reason, Bakugou also has a string tied around his ankle just completely at random. someone want to tell me what’s up with this? should I start inspecting the other characters’ ankles to see if there is a matching one
Mineta looks super cute, there I said it. I’m sorry but it’s true. let’s just cut him out of the rest of the manga moving forward and only have him randomly hovering in the background every so often. Mineta you can’t fly so what are you even doing dude
All Might is just completely defying gravity. just standing on absolutely nothing at all at a 45-degree lean. everyone else who’s mid-air is at least in the process of jumping or landing. but not All Might, no ma’am. he just doesn’t give a fuck
I see you there Inasa. up there spreading joy. and lest you guys believe Seiji and Camie were left out, let me assure you they were not and they are actually chilling over on a bridge just below Bakugou’s mystery bracelet. so that’s nice and also I still ship them yep
Miruko is here which gives me hope we’ll be seeing more of her soon! yes please Horikoshi do this for me
Hawks has no right to look so bored when he so recently texted Dabi a picture of a backpack sitting on his front porch with the caption “your package from Amazon has been delivered.” you are the reason Best Jeanist isn’t in this cover spread, Hawks, so what do you have to say for yourself
Todoroki has the fondest fucking expression on his face, and if you follow his gaze I swear to god it’s landing on Bakugou of all fucking people which makes me believe that contrary to everyone’s initial expectations, he is the one who actually has the matching ankle bracelet. that’s right kids, it was TodoBaku all along, we’ve all been played. either that or he’s looking at Tokoyami. idk guys the whirlwind teenage romance drama continues
anyways I hope everyone is good and cheered by this page, because we’re about to step back into our bleak and violent villain narrative now so say goodbye
okay so the first page is basically just RD thinking about how he’s refined his “stress” ability since childhood and that it can’t be dodged easily, but Tomura still managed to do it
and then we’re cutting to Tomura’s face which has the same sort of weary shell-shocked expression we ended the last chapter on, and ffff you guys I’m not ready but here we go anyway I guess
hooooooly shit
Tumblr media
that is some good dramatic imagery. can’t wait to see Viz’s version when it comes out; that last panel definitely deserves to be seen in its fully restored glory
but anyway, so! that’s the Papa Hand! he just took it out of his pocket! and now he’s just holding it and staring at it! SHIT’S ABOUT TO GET REAL HERE YOU GUYS. THE SHIT IS ABOUT TO BUST THROUGH THE WALL AND WATASHI GA KITA THIS BITCH
Tumblr media
why does he look so happy oh god :’D this is about to fuck me up isn’t it
so he remembered all the details of the Shimura Massacre and now he’s thinking that he really is just a vicious killing machine? is that what it is? oh god Horikoshi just show us already I can’t take it
but first we’re cutting to Re-Destro posing villainously and looking for all the world like that demon from the “Night on Bald Mountain” segment in Fantasia. I don’t know if it’s intentional or not, but the art for RD these last couple chapters has been giving me a strong old-school Disney animation vibe. they came up with some scary stuff back in the day
Tumblr media
Horikoshi really got us rooting for the guy who’s arguing for the destruction of the world. smdh. like I said, we’re being played
OH NO OH SHIT HERE WE GO
Tumblr media
okay, without knowing anything at all about the context of this scene, I immediately suspect that this shadowy man tipping his hat toward Tenko and Mama Shimura might be All for One up to his bullshit but let’s see
(ETA: this is probably Mikkun and/or Tomo-chan’s dad actually. but I’m still watching you, mister.)
oh shit oh shit oh shit you guys aahhsdfhshah
Tumblr media
SHIMURA KOTARO. THERE HE IS, AT LONG LAST. NANA’S SON OMGGGGG
Tumblr media
HE LOOKS SO MUCH LIKE HER AND YET HE’S SO STERN AND UNFRIENDLY. WHERE IS THE TRADEMARK SHIMURA SMILE, OH GOD I’M NOT READY FOR THIS ANGST
Tumblr media
let me guess, it was a “in this house we don’t speak the H-word” rule. with the four-letter h-word in this case not being what you might typically expect
also! black hair! so that’s also confirmed! so I guess it changed color due to his trauma? oh god
and you can see he’s got the little scratches which were hinted at in the previous chapter, but they’re not nearly as bad yet. I have to assume that habit got much worse also due to the trauma. oh god. again
I haven’t watched that new HBO show about Chernobyl yet, but I feel like this is kind of what it must be like? knowing full well that Very Bad Things are about to go down but not being able to do anything and having to just watch as it all plays out. shit
anyways yep. no h-word allowed
Tumblr media
so he was five! one whole year older than I thought omg. my mistake
in other news guys, I’m currently researching how to build a machine that will let me enter a fictional two-dimensional world and then travel back in time in that world to rescue and adopt a small child who needs lots of hugs omfg anyway so if anyone wants to help me out I think it’s a worthwhile endeavor
Tumblr media
...why did I laugh omg. Tenko why is your dad the most dramatic bitch
(ETA: in all seriousness I think we should investigate the possibility of the Shimuras being distantly related to the Todorokis.)
Tumblr media
HIS ALLERGIES ARE ACTING UP DAD HAVE A FUCKING HEART
anyways it’s all good because Hana will go visit him and they’ll sneak into dad’s office and she’ll show him the picture of their grandma to cheer him up. and then I’m sure eventually his dad will see reason and they’ll sort out their issues and they’ll all live happily ever after. la la la
so now Grandma is suggesting that Kotaro has maybe been a little too harsh on Tenko lately. yes Grandma make him see reason please
also I’m really curious as to whether or not Grandma is Kotaro’s adopted mom, or Tenko’s maternal grandma. if she is the adopted mom I love her even more and that makes me even sadder about their deaths, because they took in this boy whose mother basically abandoned him and then later DIED HORRIBLY, and they did their best to raise him with love, only for AFO to come along and eventually murder the lot of them which is so fucked up I can’t even. they deserved better
Kotaro has such a jaded look in his eyes here that it’s hard for me to be mad at him at all even though he’s being a jerk dad
Tumblr media
he’s had a really rough life. yes he’s being a jerk but he thinks he’s doing what’s best for his children though. fml why is this shit so complicated
okay this next page is kind of conflicting on the are-they-or-aren’t-they-his-adopted-parents thing sob
Tumblr media
like on the one hand, he literally calls them mom and dad. but then two panels down Tomura says they’re his parents-in-law. so what is the truth. maybe it’s not him talking to them in that first panel? or maybe he’s just really tight with his in-laws idk
anyway so now we’re cutting to Tenko and his mom, and this is the sweetest thing ever and why are you doing this to me Horikoshi!?
Tumblr media
FFFF OKAY BUT!!
BABY TENKO’S LIL TRAIN SET OMG SO CUTE. AND IS THAT A PLATE OF ONIGIRI ON THE TABLE. TENKO YOU MADE A MESS AND YOU DIDN’T EVEN FINISH IT, SUCH A TYPICAL FIVE-YEAR-OLD OMG
THEY DON’T KNOW WHAT KIND OF ALLERGY IT IS?? AND IT ONLY ACTS UP WHEN HE’S AT HOME. THIS IS SUSPICIOUS AS FUCK. WHAT KIND OF FOUL PLAY IS GOING ON. OR IS IT JUST STRESS?
MOM SECRETLY SUPPORTS HIS DREAM TO BE A HERO AND HE’S OPEN WITH HER ABOUT IT I CAN’T
MIKKUN AND TOMO-CHAN! OH MY GOD DID YOU GET INTO A FIGHT TO DEFEND YOUR FRIENDS AND THAT’S WHY YOU GOT INTO TROUBLE I FUCKING CAN’T HE WAS SUCH A GOOD BOY. HE REMINDS ME SO MUCH OF DEKU HERE HOLY SHIT
(ETA: they even look alike.)
cuuuuuuuuuuuute
OH MY GOD
Tumblr media
SHIMURA TENKO WAS AN ALL MIGHT FAN CONFIRMED OMFG?!
you guys. that is a lot of emotions that just hit me all at once holy shit. where do I even begin
first of all this continues the pattern of “origin” chapters showing how the characters in question admired All Might when they were growing up. we’re 4 for 4 as of now. I love this
second, it just hit me like bam to learn that Tenko felt drawn to All Might, knowing how they’re actually connected. All Might doesn’t even know (yet) that Nana had a grandson, and Tenko has no idea that his childhood hero is actually his grandmother’s protege. and yet he still winds up admiring him even without that knowledge. pow right in the feels
and lastly, I wouldn’t have thought this whole situation could get any more fucked up, and yet Horikoshi still managed it! Tenko goes from looking up to All Might and wanting to be like him, to hating him and wanting nothing more than to hurt and destroy him. fucking ouch you guys. god but that one hurts
oh and also you better believe I immediately went to the wiki to see if there were any characters around Tomura’s age whose first names might believably be condensed to Mikkun or Tomo-chan. specifically, I went to Miruko first because I wasn’t sure if she was one of those characters whose hero name was similar to her actual name! but sadly her actual name is Rumi. so much for my “Miruko and Tomura were childhood friends” theory which lasted for all of two seconds but was a wild ride while it did
you guys baby Tenko has the chubbiest little boy legs lmao I love him so much oh god. and also on a more serious note this makes presentday!Tomura’s almost emaciated appearance all the more jarring. tack on yet another reason to hate AFO to the list. it’s getting to be a really long list
Tumblr media
the parallels between him and Deku are off the fucking charts you guys. this is getting ridiculous. god I’m so weak for this kind of storytelling dfsldkjfk
Tumblr media
don’t think I didn’t notice the enormous rack you went and gave Tenko’s mom, Horikoshi. but you know what I’m going to allow it because this is just so fucking good and also because for once he’s being pretty subtle about it all things considered
adult!Tomura’s narration is shockingly insightful here
Tumblr media
like, he’s so in touch with his five-year-old emotions, and also his understanding of how this all affected him in hindsight. that’s a lot of self-awareness for a guy who only just remembered all of this like thirty seconds ago
doesn’t Tomura have like a 5/5 on the intelligence score according to the character book? for a longest time I was really skeptical about that, but the more I see of him in this arc the more I see that it’s not just talk
oh my goddddddddd
Tumblr media
LOOK AT HIS FACE OH MY GOD. he’s fucking entranced. you can tell he’s instantly captivated by her
HORIKOSHI NO, WHY
Tumblr media
GODFUCKINGDAMMIT I DIDN’T ASK FOR THIS YOU BASTARD
son of a bitch. well now I’m more subscribed than ever to the theory of Hana also surviving and being taken in by AFO in secret. she can’t be dead! she wanted to be a hero just like him! brother and sister heroes! Horikoshi I s2g if you really did kill her off I’m going to kick your ass. this is the exact spot where I’m drawing the line. this is how much angst you are allowed to have. right up to here and that’s it. the rest of the family can be dead, whatever, it’s sad and it’s fucked up, but don’t you dare touch Hana or I will...!!
and they promised. they made a brother-sister promise about what they were going to be when they grew up! and Tomura only just now remembered it! lord help me this boy is going to need all the therapy after this
OH NO
Tumblr media
THAT DAY oh my god this is it strap yourselves in kids, we’re about to luge down this icy hill of Dead Family Feels and I don’t know how to fucking luge you guys
Tumblr media
he’s so fucking happy. I’m so fucking stressed rn
oh GOD
Tumblr media
TENKO DON’T MOVE!! DON’T TOUCH ANYTHING! OH GOD. HOW DO I TURN THIS FLASHBACK OFF THAT’S IT WE GOOD I’VE SEEN ENOUGH!!
LDSKFHHHH
Tumblr media
KOTARO NO GO AWAY, EVEN IF YOU’VE BEEN A JERK DAD YOU DON’T DESERVE THIS AND TENKO DOESN’T DESERVE THIS, AND GOD, ALL FOR ONE CAN FUCKING BURN IN HELL, THIS IS SO FUCKED UP
AHHHHHH
Tumblr media
OH GREAT THE WHOLE FUCKING FAMILY IS RIGHT THERE! JUST FUCKING PERFECT. THIS IS ALL GOING TO END SO FUCKING WELL I CAN’T
OH SHIT
Tumblr media Tumblr media
KOTARO YOU’RE SUDDENLY CANCELLED YOU FUCKING DICK, BUT YOU STILL DIDN’T DESERVE TO DIE, BUT HOLY SHIT YOU SUCK!!! I DIDN’T ACTUALLY THINK YOU’D REALLY GO THROUGH WITH IT BUT I GUESS I WAS GIVING YOU TOO MUCH CREDIT YOU RAT BASTARD
I’M GLAD MAMA SHIMURA IS YELLING AT HIM NOW BUT I ALSO HAVE A TERRIBLE FEELING THAT HER RUNNING TO INTERVENE IS GOING TO SPARK A CHAIN REACTION, GIVEN WHAT’S ABOUT TO HAPPEN OH GOD
(ETA: or maybe I gave her too much credit. turns out there was no intervening to speak of.)
anyway so now Kotaro is yelling “that’s not your grandma!”, and I can’t decide if this is anger or something else on his face in this moment, which unbeknownst to him is one of the final moments of his life hahaha sob somebody help me how do I stop this ride
Tumblr media
also Mon-chan keeps barking and I know that’s going to end really badly in just a moment as well ugh. it’s like those final few seconds after a grenade rolls into a room and everyone sees that the pin is missing and they know what’s about to happen but they can’t do anything to stop it. we’re all gonna die folks
oh no it actually was Something Else on his face oh fuck me
Tumblr media
I’m fucking furious at Horikoshi right now for pulling this shit again and giving this scene so much complexity. there’s so much going on here that we’re never even going to get the chance to unpack because it’s all about to go to shit. and Kotaro is an absolute bastard, but he’s also a man who’s still reeling from the pain of being abandoned by his own mother and never came to terms with that. and yet that absolutely does not make this okay in the slightest, at all, and it’s abundantly clear that he is still very much the bad guy here and that what he’s doing is unforgivable. I just really like that he went and gave him this much depth despite him playing such a despicable role here. god BnHA is so good
anyway back to being devastated
Tumblr media
HE LOOKS SO FUCKING TERRIFIED AND I’M SO MAD ABOUT EVERYTHING RIGHT NOW HE DIDN’T DESERVE THIS!!!
MOTHERFUCKER HERE IT COMES
Tumblr media
[takes a deep breath and clicks to the next page!!]
hey what the
Tumblr media
not the panel I was expecting with Tenko reaching out defensively and touching his father and accidentally turning him to ash while the rest of the family shrieks in fear and shock, but okay. I can’t say I was exactly looking forward to seeing that so I’ll take it!
oh Horikoshi. you see, this is exactly the type of shit I’m talking about
Tumblr media
okay Kotaro, I can feel sorry for you in this moment and sympathize with the child-you who did not deserve that at all, and also feel yet more rage toward AFO for utterly destroying this family. but that doesn’t mean I don’t absolutely hate you at the same time for what you did to your son. it’s just like that. you had reasons but you’re still a dick. just BnHA character things
Horikoshi why oh my god
Tumblr media
RIP SHIMURA FAMILY YOU DESERVED BETTER AND YOU WILL BE AVENGED!!
Tumblr media
and yet all the same that does not make it right for you to take out your pain and frustration on your helpless five-year-old son! YOU FUCKED UP KOTARO. but this next page is still going to hurt oh god
[takes another deep breath!!]
oh okay we’re still drawing it out
Tumblr media
-- holy shit, wait a sec. is this all taking place after? wait a fucking second
okay you guys holy shit, I just went back to the “house my father built” page and it is very clearly segueing into another flashback. like, in hindsight it’s obvious, but these aren’t actually Tenko’s memories any more. I think what happened was that Kotaro actually did hit Tenko another couple of times and then that was it, and then it cut back to this scene here which is actually taking place after that incident
which means Tenko’s memories were indeed tampered with then if my hunch is right!! let’s read on, but I’m pretty sure AFO is about to come along and murder the shit out of these folks, holy shit is this really happening?!
okay so Mama Shimura is telling Kotaro that she’s done following his rules
like, I’m glad she’s standing up for her children but I really wish she’d rip him a new one much more severely than this though
though he does seem genuinely regretful. but that’s hardly helpful now?? girl just take the kids and leave
oh no we’re cutting back to Tenko and he’s hugging Mon-chan out in the backyard and it’s nighttime now noooooooo
Tumblr media
all right, for the third fucking time I’m going to take a deep fucking breath and turn the page holy shit you guys this chapter is taking years off my life

...well shit
parting thoughts:
I’m okay with this being the only bit they show and not getting any more detail. please for once don’t give us any more detail, Horikoshi, holy fuck
though if we don’t actually see anything, part of me is still going to suspect AFO of directly interfering right up until the end of the series. the whole thing just comes together too perfectly for him. there’s no fucking way
I still 100% believe he gave Tenko the quirk, too. especially now that we know he was quirkless until age five. we’ve previously established that if a child hasn’t evolved a quirk by that age it almost always means they’re quirkless for life. Horikoshi thinks he’s smooth trying to play it off like Tenko was a tragic late bloomer but WE KNOW THE TRUTH. I will go down with this theory damn it
I would say this is easily the single most fucked up thing we have seen in this series up to this point, but I see Horikoshi eyeing the upcoming Noumu plotline and the tragic tale of Tsubasa and his fucked up mad scientist grandpa and looking for somebody to hold his beer, so. I’ll just keep my mouth shut, I think
anyways this chapter was amazing and terrifying and I can’t wait to see how Tomura’s story moves forward from here. happy 5th anniversary of BnHA, y’all

Can you please do a scenario where Komaru and Toko find where the V3 cast are and save them right before Rantaro even could die? The V3 cast watch in awe on how Monokuma is terrified of a girl wielding a megaphone, at least until she destroyed the Exisals. Komaru and Toko 14 new friends in the process and helped them in Towa City.
Oh boy. Ohhhhhh boy. I’ve got a lot to say about this one, and I’m sure that others will show some level of interest. I could probably expand more on this than I’m about to, so if you really want that send in another ask another time. WARNING: Spoiler for Chapter One goodness.

V3 and Towa City Collide
The music started to get to everyone as they anxiously awaited their impending dooms. Kaede sat in the classroom holding the shot put ball in hand, ready to roll it through the vent. Everyone’s lives were on the line, and she couldn’t let everyone she had become friends with fall to the mastermind. She gripped it even tighter. Her head was clouded with determination as she-
“MOVE!”
A crash in the distance took her attention away from her actions, preemptively dropping the shot put ball into the vent. Worriedly, she looked back at it, running out to see what had happened. Shuichi seemed to hear it too as he ran back to see where she was going. She took his hand in hers and dragged him down the hallway, the music still blaring into their ears.
She broke through the front of the school doors, noticing immediately a large crack in the dome surrounding them. She watched with wild eyes as it attempted to hold back a force from the outside. She shared a look with Shuichi before dropping his hand and dashing. Shuichi followed, his cap falling off his head. They reached the edge of the dome and started pounding on it.
“HELP US! THERE’S PEOPLE IN HERE, PLEASE!” Kaede yelled, causing Shuichi to Mimick her actions.
“Please! We’ve been stuck in here for days, we’re gonna die!” Shuichi begged, hitting the wall with his shoulder. Slowly, others started leaving the school’s doors to join them. Eventually, fifteen ultimates found themselves pounding at the same space, save for Rantaro. They heard the music get louder as Monokuma’s boisterous laughter filled the entire campus.
“TIIIIIIIME’S UP!”
Everything shook beneath them, and they saw Rantaro running out the doors of the school with two monopads, scrambling not to trip on his feet. Hounding behind him was a pack of Monokumas of different sizes, almost able to strike him down.
“MOVE!!”
The wall broke down, crumbling around the ground. A stray piece of it almost hit Miu on the head, but she was pushed out of the way by Gonta, who caught it and held it like a baby in his arms. From the rubble came two girls who looked to be their same age. They wore different school uniforms, but they acted as one unit as they moved in.
“THE EYES! HIT THE RED EYES AND THEY’RE DONE!” the girl with short hair yelled. Rantaro turned around, hurling one of the monopads into the bestial Monokuma’s eye. Surely enough, it stopped moving, falling over and causing a blast that flung him across the field and into a building. Kaede winced as she watched him take that impact.
“There we go! One of you, catch this.” the short-haired girl threw a megaphone over at the crowd watching her incredulously. Angie took it into her hands, handing it over to Tenko telling her it was Atua’s will to give it to her.Tenko ran with the others, adjusting it to the setting she saw on the other one. The girl who was hanging back twirled a taser in her head before putting it to her head with a sheepish look on her face before using it. Her movements became more erratic as she let out shrill laughter. She ducked beneath the two girls with megaphones, dashing quicker than the remaining crowd thought was possible for someone of her stature.
“We can’t stay put,” Kaede mumble, before turning to everyone.
“Listen! We can’t stay put. I don’t know what we’re going up against, and I don’t want to think too hard about it. Nevertheless, we’re Ultimates! We lead the world to the future, regardless of how unattainable it seems. Together, we can take this down, no problem. Find something to throw, regardless of the size!” She picked up a piece of stone from an unfinished building nearby, smiling. Everyone looked around them quickly before arming themselves with growing determination.
The group, led by Kaede, ran at full force to meet the black and white blobs of abominations coming towards them as quickly as possible, rapid whirring noises filling the air as they got closer.
Before they knew it, they were looking at a pile of dismembered electrical parts, smoke coming off of them. Everyone looked at one another with incredulous eyes before remembering Rantaro, and running over to where he was flung to.
He was laying on the ground, propped up against a wall as he was holding his leg and letting a hissing noise escape his mouth with every slight moment he made, and he looked up with weary eyes to see everyone stunned to see he was alive. He chuckled, letting his head hit the back of the wall.
“What, you really thought I was dead?” He shrugged, looking to the side. “It takes more than a little blast to kill me.”
“Hey big guy, can you carry him?” Kaito asked, looking at Gonta. He nodded, picking Rantaro from the ground like he weighed absolutely nothing.
“Whoa, Gonta think you need eat more!”
“Did you see that, Toki? How cool was that?!” one of the girls called in the distance, cheering.
“I told you, it’s Toko. I don’t like nicknames much, Komaru,” the other girl responded sounding aggravated. Laughter followed, and the group moved out towards them.
“Sorry for the late introduction, but time was of the essence. I’m Komaru, and the shy girl is Toko. I’d be happy to get to know you better when we’re in a safer place,” She said with a sweet smile. No one questioned her, but knew if they didn’t leave now they’d have to suffer the consequences of the killing game.
Rantaro looked at the group of people ahead of him, smiling as he looked at Kaede. He didn’t get the chance to thank her for killing the Monokuma that would’ve gotten him had it not been for the shot put ball he assumed she dropped due to the pink fuzz that fell with it. He figured he’d tell her when they could all finally rest.
For now, they had to figure out just what was happening with the outside world.
(ahhhhhhh hope you like it!!)

Tomura Shigaraki ♡ Family ♡
Sooooo, I came up with this little thing out of no where and i really just hope you guys like it ( ̄▽ ̄*)  This is like a part two for my League of Villains as dad’s, but for Shigaraki ♡ because, I love him and deep down so do you ♡
Truth? I just love writing for Shigaraki when it comes to him having a daughter ♡ Enjoy ♡
Tumblr media
“Get that away from me!”
Shigaraki was currently sitting on the couch swatting his hand about as his daughter begged him to let her paint his nails.
“Daddy! Please? They will be pretty like your hair, looky!” His daughter showed him the bottle which was matching to his hair color and hers, “See! See! It’s pretty like your hair!”
Shigaraki was irritated, he loved his daughter but, “Where’s your mother? Go paint her nails!” On days like this… he really wished you were home instead of out running around.
“Nooo daddy! She isn’t here! It has to be you!” Here came the puppy eyes… Those damn enormous red eyes, and in the corner of those desperate eyes laid tears. Shigaraki was torn… run around with nail polish on his hands, or make his daughter cry.
“Tell ya what, i’ll let you paint my nails if you get the answer right to my question.”
His daughter's eyes lit up in an instant, she was all ears, “What’s the question? Is it how many hands you wear when you go out!?”
Kurogiri was in the room with them both, his eyes seemed to be interested in the question as well.
Shigaraki was trying to think of something, anything, but for some reason he was drawing a blank, and as if on cue, Dabi walks through the door. That’s when Shigaraki knew what his question would be.
Shigaraki pointed towards Dabi, “Alright, what’s the name of th guy who just walked in?”
Dabi’s eyebrow arched, “Why would you ask such a simple question, everyone here knows my name-”
“Ashtray!” Shigaraki’s daughter had her arms in the air as if she had won a million bucks as she blurted out Dabi’s “name”.
Kurogiri’s eyes were soft, enjoying the moment Shigaraki and his daughter were sharing.
“Good job my little one, that is correct.” Shigaraki’s grin couldn’t get any wider, he was proud that his daughter remembered the name he gave Dabi.
“The hell…” Dabi was scratching the back of his head, irritated, but he knew there was nothing he could do about it.
Shigaraki’s daughter was so caught up in the moment she forgot why her father even asked her the question. That is until she saw the nail bottle in her hand. Gasping, she jumped on her father's lap, “Does that mean i get to paint your nails daddy?”
Shigaraki sighed in defeat, a promise is a promise, and if there is one thing he swore to do it was to never break his promises to his daughter. “Yes, just take it off after.”
Jumping off of Shigaraki’s lap, she ran up the her “uncle” Kurogiri, “Can i have a napkin Uncle Kuro?”
Handing her a napkin from behind the bar, Kurogiri then used his quirk to teleport her right back in front of Shigaraki, though only a few steps away, she still enjoyed it and it made her giggle every time.
“Okie daddy, place your hand on the napkin so i can paint them!” She was full of excitement, shaking the bottle she got down on the ground so she could focus, “well are you going to put your hand down?”
Lowering his hand, Shigaraki laid one hand down, all five fingers touching the napkin… and slowly it began to turn to dust… “I think you forget i can’t put all my fingers down. Looks like we won’t be able to do this after all-” His voice trailed off when he felt his thumb being snatched by a small hand.
His daughter grabbed his thumb and began to paint his nail… He was beside himself, he just showed her how dangerous his hands are, yet here she is. Delicately holding his thumb, her tongue sticking out as she makes sure not to get the nail polish on his skin. As he watched his daughter his scarred up lips turned upright into a soft smile. His daughter wasn’t frightened of him, even now when she is able to comprehend his quirk… She still asks to hold his hand and for him to braid her hair.
“Next finger!” Letting go of his thumb she held her hand out for the next finger. Meeting her demands, Shigaraki held out a finger for her to paint.
“You can’t scare me away daddy! Your quirk isn’t scary! It keeps mommy and i safe, so it’s like a shield for us!-” She giggled as she continued to paint his nails “-you’re mommy and my shield! All you have to do is have your hands out and no one will want to come near us!”
Shigaraki felt an unusual feeling in his chest, he couldn’t quite tell what it was… He felt so full, so content, and so stable… If All Might were to come crashing in right now, Shigaraki wouldn’t be upset because… He was genuinely happy. He felt gratitude towards you, wishing you were here right now so he could sit beside you as his daughter painted his nails… wishing he could thank you for giving him an actual reason to live.
A few hours have gone by and Shigaraki was now back at your apartment, waiting for you to arrive. His daughter was curled up next to him as he played his video game, sound asleep until her little ears heard the door handle shake.
“Hello?”
“Mommy!!! Mommy’s home!!” Jumping off the couch your daughter ran up to you hugging you, nearly causing you to fall backwards.
“Well someone missed me today! How’re you doing love bug?” You pushed her messy light blue hair out of her face so you could see her dazzling red eyes. Collecting her in your arms you lifted her up so you could hold her. “You’re starting to get big! Soon you’ll be as tall as me!”
“Mommy! You have to see what daddy let me do to him today!”
Shigaraki was watching the two of you converse with one another, his girls, the two people he would kill for without hesitating. Hell, he already killed a nurse after she had touched his daughter without warning… It was right after birth, and he didn’t want anyone else touching his child… As he watched you both smile and laugh that same feeling he felt earlier came crawling back.
“What did you do to your poor father now-”
“I painted his nails! He actually let me do it! You have to see!”
“Tenko is this tru-”
Embracing you and his daughter, “I...I…-” He felt an ich on his neck, but still he didn’t let go of you or his daughter. “-L-love you both.”
Drawing back, he took a good look at you and then his daughter, his eyes were soft like the smile on his face. You and your daughter both planted a kiss on his cheek, “we love you too daddy!”
Shigaraki clung to you both, his hands in fist so he couldn’t destroy the only happiness he’s ever known, family.
~Admin Kiwi xoxo
I hope you guys liked it! (^∀^) I might do the other Villains like this later on.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 23 Review: Tenko Shimura: Origin
https://ift.tt/3leCe2P
This My Hero Academia review contains spoilers for Season 5, Episode 23.
“You’re right. I just want to destroy.”
There’s an inherent risk of ruining the magic that surrounds certain characters by answering all of the questions that contextualize them—especially when it comes to villains—but My Hero Academia has not only avoided this particular story struggle, but excelled in the territory and turned the challenge into some of the show’s most powerful episodes. They’re the perfect amount of dark and haunting without feeling exploitative or off the mark from what the series should represent.
There is no shortage of villains in the series and My Hero Academia’s “My Villain Academia” story arc has risen to the occasion by choosing some of its more vicious and unstable villains to put under the microscope. The culmination of this is of course Tomura Shigaraki, the head of the League of Villains, the series’ central antagonist, and a character who’s increasingly been positioned as Izuku Midoriya’s dark counterpoint. Previous episodes have provided flashes of Shigaraki’s grim past, but it’s nothing compared to what’s uncovered in “Tenko Shimura: Origin;” an excellent episode that, as its title suggests, there’s a lot more to Tenko “Tomura Shigaraki” Shimura than the audience realizes.

My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 22 Review: Sad Man’s Parade
By Daniel Kurland
Shigaraki has commanded an air of intimidation ever since his first appearance, largely because the cluster of severed hands that decorate his face is definitely a look that would give villains like Red Skull or Two-Face pause. My Hero Academia casually dropped the bomb of backstory that these hands are actually from the members of Shigaraki’s family; a morbid badge of courage over how much he’s changed. “Tenko Shimura: Origin” is the first time that the specifics of this tragedy get unpacked and it easily ranks up there with the series’ most devastating moments.
Shigaraki’s flashbacks are so heartbreaking because there’s a real sense of calm and happiness in their normal suburban life that the audience knows will decay into ash at a moment’s notice. The complete annihilation of one’s family is enough to break even the most altruistic of heroes. There’s no scenario in which this loss feels acceptable, but “Tenko Shimura: Origin” doesn’t hold back when it comes to the fear, sadness, and shame that dominates the “birth” of Shigaraki.
The episode details that Shigaraki loses everyone–not just his mother and father, but also his grandparents and even his dog–which leaves him in a newly harash world. The most gutting collateral damage from Shigaraki’s burgeoning Quirk is his sister, Hana, who was always there for him. Even after all of this pain it’s still possible to picture a version of Shigaraki that’s able to live a healthy life–possibly even as a hero–if he still had Hana by his side for support. This isn’t a villain who had nobody for support. It’s a villain who destroyed his support and left himself with nobody.
Shigaraki’s past pain helps fuel his current fight against Re-Destro. The Meta Liberation leader inadvertently triggers an epiphany in Shigaraki that leaves him more ready than ever to set the world on fire. Re-Destro preaches over the inherent connection between an individual’s Quirk and the user’s temperament, which in Shigaraki’s case paints the picture of a villain who is only interested in destruction. Re-Destro chastises Shigaraki’s undisciplined rage and that a life full of destruction that doesn’t in turn create anything beneficial isn’t sustainable. Re-Destro isn’t necessarily wrong in this assessment, but it’s still quite powerful that the sheer nature of erasure is enough for Shigaraki. He’s treated like a character who literally has nothing to lose, unlike Re-Destro, which is one of the most terrifying things in the world.
This clash of ideals and Quirks culminates in a sprawling battle that’s beautifully animated where the whole city faces destruction. Shigaraki loses more of the ties to his past as the hands of his family also slowly get destroyed. The destruction of these keepsakes is a satisfying way to provoke Shigaraki’s memories regarding each of these hands’ corresponding family members and the role that they played in his life before he fully committed himself to evil, buried himself in pain, and evolved from Tenko Shimura to Tomura Shigaraki.
These “My Villain Academia” episodes have been able to improve the series through their unique perspective, but they’ve also carefully established deeper parallels between its opposing characters. Shigaraki’s transformation into a conduit for All For One hits harder once it’s portrayed as this toxic version of the genuinely empowering and fostering relationship that exists for Midoriya as All Might’s One For All successor. This is a simple, yet thematically rich idea that My Hero Academia has teased throughout its five seasons, but it finally pushes it to an explicit point that thankfully strengthens and continues to add depth to the rivalry that exists between Shigaraki and Midoriya. It’s no coincidence that Shigaraki as a child looks almost identical to Deku.
The existing pain and residual trauma that festers from All Might and All For One’s feud becomes reignited through their successors and turns the powerful showdown to a conflict that becomes representative of something much bigger and more powerful. It’s not just a battle between a hero and villain, but ostensibly a conflict between generations of pent up good and evil. “Tenko Shimura: Origin” is even able to further fan the flames in this respect with its casual revelation that Shigaraki’s grandmother is All Might’s former mentor (and former One For All bearer), Nana Shimura. This connects the dots between heroes and villains, and One For All and All For One, in even more rewarding ways that will surely lead to an emotional blow-up between these factions next season.
“Tenko Shimura: Origin” is quite focused on Shigaraki’s past pain and it allows these moments to properly breathe rather than run the risk of rushing this necessary development and having it feel unearned. There’s still a city-wide skirmish that takes place around all of these irreproachable reminiscences. The rest of the League of Villains, in particular Spinner, lend a hand against the Meta Liberation Army’s horde of recruits. These distractions don’t amount to much and the Not-Ninja Turtle receives a massive dose of humility.  It’s still a helpful reminder of the full scope of this war and that Shigaraki and Re-Destro’s showdown is just one corner of calamity.
“Tenko Shimura: Origin” is true to its name and doesn’t disappoint when it comes to its look into this fragile, hateful villain’s past. My Hero Academia’s shift to the dark side continues to bear strange, delicious fruit as it further humanizes the individuals that the series has conditioned its heroes and audience to hate. This episode opens up My Hero Academia in a major way, but with next week’s penultimate installment also set to unpeel more layers of Shigaraki, it’s currently unclear if these two episodes could have been combined into a solo entry or if there’s enough trauma in Shigaraki’s life to go around.

After all, satisfaction is an itch that’s very hard to scratch…

The Restore of Our Rotten souls Ch. 5 - My Strength, My Weakness
Tumblr media
Tomura's POV
"That damn hero girl! This thing hurts!"
That bullet came almost out of thin air, and got me on my open wound. This is crazy! We met each other half a dozen of times this year before today, but we never rose a hand to fisically hurt each other.
In my memories, we were close, really close, even with the fact we had other friends.
Flashback in Tomura's POV
No matter if she would get in trouble in my place, the little girl would find a way for me to hide on my best friend's house when our father was mad at me, and the ways were variable, making a pan's drum, turn the cartoon sound all the way to max, make a mess in the bathroom, scream, anything.
It was something the adults didn't get it, but my sister and I imagined that inside her heart she was trying to save us, but probably was because the adults never EVER touched her body, afraid of her unstable and dangerous quirk. She was still a simple baby when her quirk first showed up, when she destroyed her crib and part of the wall at that day. But she survived, I remember that.
When the adults allowed us to play with Anjou along, she always had to wear her gloves, and when she needed to eat, give the food in her mouth, the anti-quirk gloves were really expensive and we had just one pair.
But this didn't stop us to play with her by the window. She would usually be the damsell in distress when she was locked in her room. I had this idea once so I would make her feel happy. I loved to make her happy, she was the best sister someone could ask for.
And even when Hana broke her own promise, my sister was trying to help me escape, but that day, not even when she screamed from the top of her lungs. She was without her gloves that day, but my father was so focused on me that day he didn't notice that lack very well, until  the left leg of his jeans dusted out. He gor mad... and kicked her.
At that moment, Heiwa appeared, with her father and older brother, and things, I remember, got really messy. Heiwa's father, Mr. Soi Yana, had a poor childhood, so looking at my father raise his hand against me made him mad. I remember, he tried to protect me, like a hero.
Ukiatsu Yana was already 9 years old when everything happened, but at that moment, him and his little sister, my best friend, Heiwa Yana, came to my rescue. These two really did their best to protect the hero things I secretly owned. And they still keep safe until this day. I... do miss them... specially Heiwa, she is really someone who gives me the peace her name means...
Back at the moment
I got so mad at that moment, with all tgese memories that I advanced over my sister, screaming her name and threatening to catch her:
 - How dare you?! I thought you still loved you big brother, Anjou!! SO HOW DID YOU HAVE THE GUT TO ATTACK ME?!!
But then, I was in the air again, that damn Deku is such a pain in the ass. But this didn't stop Anjou from answer me:
 - I-I... I didn't... I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE!!! I CAN'T STAND THIS IDEA!!! I-
But then, my focus went to Midoriya. I needed to defeat him, I needed to get the One for All.
Anjou's POV
 - I'm... sorry.
But at that moment he wasn't focusing at me anymore. Tenko was in the air again, getting beaten up again. But at the moment I tried to get my arm bands open to try to run after him, I felt a grip near my elbows, and then a warm hug, but I couldn't feel any confort from them:
 - LET ME GO NANA!
 - Shhhh... He'll be okay, you already shot him.
Suddenly I was flying a bit backwards. My tutor, Edwin S.(in his dragon form) was really trying to take me away from death, his father could do anything to hurt and kill us if he took my brother's body again. I think one of two things: either Edwin was so stressed to be in his father's possible presence that he got stupid OR he really wanted to replace the stress energy to an akward one, because he turned of his ilusion quirk at the moment we were on Gran Torino's side. I knew he did see 'nana' Nana there... and though I didn't see their faces and didn't focus on them at the moment, but now, when I imagine the idea of them staring at each other while my nana couldn't find a way to explain the fact she was there, holding me. But then, Gran Torino started so scream at me:
 - WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! WHERE THE HELL DID YOU GET THE GUN!
 - I... Ten... I-I...
 - And who is this Anjou? Why did he called you sister?
 - W-well I... he...
 - ANSWER ME!
I then, got really mad and sad. I turned my face over to him, with an angry face and tears in my eyes:
 - SHUT THE HELL UP!!! GIVE ME ONE MOMENT!!!
 - Please, Sorahiko, she's already overwhelmed enough.
I breathed in and out for a second:
 - Well... Anjou is my birthname, Anjou Shimura. I think I don't need to explain why I can't use it in public.
I stopped the explaining, making 'nana confused:
 - Well... will you continue, dearie?
 - I don't need to, he already know the rest.
Before she answered, there was a moment of silence, she probably looked at Gran Torino:
 - I see... come here, let me hold closer, my dear.
 - Okay...
I gave in crying, and for a moment I just focused on my grandma's heartbeat, and internally, I was sayng thanks to Ushio, Yuri and Edwin for saving her life all those years ago.
Nana's POV
I looked at Edwin for a moment. He was focusing on the air, and even in his dragon form it was clear, something was wrong.
As I looked up, the worst happened, and my heart beaten up so fast that Anjou looked up too. The n°1 hero, Endeavor, had set a Proeminence Burn on the young boy, my grandson, Tenko:
 - NO! NO NO NO!
 - ANJOU!
 - STOP IT! WAIT!
Something happened. I was familiar with it. When Anjou is sick, extremely sad, very nervous, or stressed it would happen, but now I needed to add to the list, despair.
Anjou's hair is usually a pitch black long hair, just a little above her feet, but this state of mind she was then is a good example of the way her quirk is too strong, even for her. The black hair suddenly fell and , but her hair was already grown up again in the mid back level, but it was pure white. More than usual:
 - Mrs. Shimura! Please, call Heiwa and Yuri!
 - Right!
No time to explain, I knew. I got my radio:
 - Hello? Anyone there?
 - Mrs. Shimura? I am! Anything wrong?
 - Yana dear! Eddie chose the plan C.
 - PLAN C?! IS TENKO OKAY?!
 - Calm down! And I don't know, but it seems like only one dose wasn't enough.
 - And since Yuri is already on her way, guess I'll be there soon.
Not gonna lie, but if the case is All for One, the "Shigaraki siblings" take the deal WAY too serious:
 - I feel this isn't gonna end well for everyone...
Heiwa's POV
Tenko Shimura, my oldest and best friend, my husband, my love and the father of my son, Tenai. And he was stolen from me: "I'm gonna show this man what his wife showed me. I'll take what's mine back!"
I'm Heiwa Yana, I'm 20 YO, my quirk is Melanokinesis aka ink control, which I can use in public places, and I'm a peacefull revolutionary.
I lost my friend at 5, reencounterd him at 19, we got closer and fell in love. Our relationship is based on trust, and patience. So when he said he would disappear for probably a long time, but would come back for me, I trusted, and as a proof of this trust, we got married on the spot. Still, I found out I was pregnant, couldn't tell Tenko, but I couldn't lose my baby, and I kept him.
But when I found out about what happened to him, and All for One, I knew I had to do something. Found the Shimura sisters and asked if I could help. They said if the baby was already born, they would consider.
Welp, there I was, a month after my baby was born, so I could claim what's mine:
 - Ready, Miss Four Eyes?
 - First of all, I'm married, second of all, yes I am, Prostetic Hero! He's mine, if I'm his weakness, I'll use it the way I have to get him back!
