i think a general (tho of course not 100% universal) rule of thumb for online discussions is that if just one person misconstrues what you said, then they did a bad job at reading. but if EVERYONE seems to be misunderstanding your point, then you probably just did a bad job at communicating your point.

It’s become a running joke between me and my partner about how every time we play danganronpa, I always end up predicting a bunch of shit without realising. But my personal favourite is when Hajime was on screen for literally a second and I immediately burst out laughing and went on a rant about how he’s “just some guy” and bullied him for a good 3 minutes before I’d even heard him say his second line
