I love Marvel’s way of dealing w/ child heroes. I really only read Runaways, Young Avengers, and Champions when it comes to that but they are absolutely buckwild. They either decide from the get go they want absolutely nothing to do with adult heroes, or get pissed at them after doing a team up and unionize with other kid heroes.

actually the funniest thing about tvd is how Damon is clearly introducted as having not much self-control but then the backstory starts coming out more and more in the later seasons and you realise he literally didn't turn off his humanity until a century into being a vampire and then you look at all the other vampires we know who all turned off their humanity like, within the decade of turning some within days, and you're just there like "Is Damon... the most self-controlled character in this show???" and you KNOW it wasn't intentional on the part of the writers but it's the only conclusion to have

not just because it'd be funny as fuck when they finally do get together and tell him and Sam and jack is just like "?????? but you're already married??????"

but also because it makes SO MUCH SENSE to him. I mean, when he connected with Cas on a cosmic level from the womb or whatever he must've felt his love for Dean, right? and then Jack is born and is confronted with Dean's threatening huge grief for Cas. (and the contrast with Sam's)

and also he's a literal baby at that point so he wouldn't know any better ("and that's... love?" "actually love can get crazier than that") and so he thinks they're just low-key about affection and that their marriage goes through rough patches often, that's all.

this is further proved by the fact that at the end of s14 when he makes everyone stop lying it's when he's having a breakdown and he's seeing couples lying to each other (right after cas and dean were fighting over jack)
