Josele: (gets disarmed) Someone create a weapon for me!
Acylla and Koli: On it! (both make a sword with their respective attributes)
Acylla, pausing: You make weapons with your magic?
Koli, turning to Acylla: Yeah. They're great for close combat, you know?
Acylla: I do know!
Koli: Any preferred weapons? I use a scythe most often.
Acylla: The hammer is my best weapon.
Koli: (lets out a whistle) Got a little muscle in you, huh?

Frankie Knuckles
Tumblr media
Francis Warren Nicholls, Jr. (January 18, 1955 – March 31, 2014), better known as Frankie Knuckles, was an American DJ, record producer and remixer. He played an important role in developing and popularizing house music in Chicago during the 1980s, when the genre was in its infancy. In 1997, Knuckles won the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical. Due to his importance in the development of the genre, Knuckles was often called "The Godfather of House Music".
Musical career
1970s–1980s
Born in The Bronx, Knuckles and his friend Larry Levan began frequenting discos as teenagers during the 1970s. While studying textile design at the FIT, Knuckles and Levan began working as DJs, playing soul, disco, and R&B at two of the most important early discos, The Continental Baths and The Gallery. In the late 1970s, Knuckles moved from New York City to Chicago, where his old friend, Robert Williams, was opening what became the nightclub called Warehouse. When the club opened in Chicago in 1977, he was invited to play on a regular basis, which enabled him to hone his skills and style. This style was a mixture of disco classics, unusual indie-label soul, the occasional rock track, European synth-disco and all manner of rarities, which would all eventually codify as "House Music". The style of music now known as house was named after a shortened version of the Warehouse.
Knuckles was so popular that the Warehouse, initially a members-only club for largely black gay men, began attracting straighter, whiter crowds, leading its owner, Robert Williams, to eschew membership. Knuckles continued DJing at the Warehouse until November 1982, when he started his own club in Chicago, The Power Plant.
Around 1983, Knuckles bought his first drum machine to enhance his mixes from Derrick May, a young DJ who regularly made the trip from Detroit to see Knuckles at the Warehouse and Ron Hardy at the Music Box, both in Chicago. The combination of bare, insistent drum machine pulses and an overlay of cult disco classics defined the sound of early Chicago house music, a sound which many local producers began to mimic in the studios by 1985.
When the Power Plant closed in 1987, Knuckles moved to the UK for four months and DJ-ed at DELIRIUM!, a Thursday night party at Heaven (nightclub) in London. Chicago house artists were in high demand and having major success in the UK with this new genre of music. Knuckles also had a stint in New York, where he continued to immerse himself in producing, remixing, and recording. 1988 saw the release of Pet Shop Boys' third album, Introspective, which featured Knuckles as a co-producer of the song "I Want a Dog."
Work with Jamie Principle
In 1982, Knuckles was introduced to then-unknown Jamie Principle by mutual friend Jose "Louie" Gomez, who had recorded the original vocal-dub of "Your Love" to reel-to-reel tape. Louie Gomez met up with Frankie at the local record pool (I.R.S.) and gave him a tape copy of the track. Knuckles played Gomez's unreleased dub mix for an entire year in his sets during which it became a crowd favorite. Knuckles later went into the studio to re-record the track with Principle, and in 1987 helped put Your Love and Baby Wants to Ride out on vinyl after these tunes had been regulars on his reel-to-reel player at the Warehouse for a year.
As house music was developing in Chicago, producer Chip E. took Knuckles under his tutelage and produced Knuckles' first recording, "You Can't Hide from Yourself". Then came more production work, including Jamie Principle's "Baby Wants to Ride", and later "Tears" with Robert Owens (of Fingers Inc.) and (Knuckles' protégé and future Def Mix associate) Satoshi Tomiie.
1990s–2010s
Knuckles made numerous popular Def Classic Mixes with John Poppo as sound engineer, and Knuckles partnered with David Morales on Def Mix Productions. His debut album Beyond the Mix (1991), released on Virgin Records, contained what would be considered his seminal work, "The Whistle Song", which was the first of four number ones on the US dance chart. The Def Classic mix of Lisa Stansfield's "Change", released in the same year, also featured the whistle-like motif. Another track from the album, "Rain Falls", featured vocals from Lisa Michaelis. Eight thousand copies of the album had sold by 2004. Other key remixes from this time include his rework of the Electribe 101 anthem "Talking with Myself" and Alison Limerick's "Where Love Lives".
When Junior Vasquez took a sabbatical from The Sound Factory in Manhattan, Knuckles took over and launched a successful run as resident DJ. He continued to work as a remixer through the 1990s and into the next decade, reworking tracks from Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, Diana Ross, Eternal and Toni Braxton. He released several new singles, including "Keep on Movin'" and a re-issue of an earlier hit "Bac N Da Day" with Definity Records. In 1995, he released his second album titled Welcome to the Real World. By 2004, 13,000 copies had sold.
Openly gay, Knuckles was inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame in 1996.
In 2004, Knuckles released a 13-track album of original material – his first in over a decade – titled A New Reality. In October 2004, "Your Love" appeared in the videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on house music radio station, SF-UR.
Death
In the mid-2000s, Knuckles developed Type II diabetes. He developed osteomyelitis after breaking his foot snowboarding, and had it amputated after declining to take time off for treatment. On March 31, 2014, he died in Chicago at the age of 59 due to the complications from his diabetes.
Legacy
In April 2015, a year after his death, Defected Records released a retrospective compilation, House Masters Frankie Knuckles; Knuckles had selected the track list before his death. Also, the same month, as a tribute to Knuckles, a version of his song "Baby Wants to Ride" was released by Underworld and Heller and Farley to mark the year anniversary of his death. It went straight to number one on the UK's first ever Official Vinyl Singles Chart. All proceeds went to the Frankie Knuckles Trust/Elton John AIDS Foundation. A year after his death, on April 4, 2015, In Memoriam Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1 was played, containing two, previously unreleased Knuckles mixes.Knuckles was featured in the documentary films Maestro (2003), written and directed by Josell Ramos, The UnUsual Suspects: Once Upon a Time in House Music (2005), directed by Chip E. and Continental (2013) about the Continental Baths.
Awards and honors
In 1997, Knuckles won the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical. In 2004, the city of Chicago – which "became notorious in the dance community around the world for passing the so-called 'anti-rave ordinance' in 2000 that made property owners, promoters and deejays subject to $10,000 fines for being involved in an unlicensed dance party" – named a stretch of street in Chicago after Knuckles, where the old Warehouse once stood, on Jefferson Street between Jackson Boulevard and Madison Street. That stretch of street, called Frankie Knuckles Way, "was renamed when the city declared 25 August 2004 as Frankie Knuckles Day. The Illinois state senator who helped make it happen was Barack Obama. In 2005, Knuckles was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame for his achievements.

Headcanons: Hero of Kvatch - Kassandra Saryn
‘tis about time i did something like that with Kassie. so here we go!
Kassandra is a halfbreed: she’s got a Breton father and a Dunmer mother. She looks very much human in almost every way, from the shape of her face and complexion of her skin, to the Nibenayan accent of her speech and a preference for simpler, less posh things. The only elven things about her are her pointed ears, predisposition to magical arts and slower aging.
Kassie’s got heterochromia: her left eye is bright blue and her right eye is vibrant green, which is believed to be the result of mixed blood. Her unique physical traits are also attributed to her vast and complicated genealogical tree, which includes centuries worth of interracial marriages, infidelities and all sorts of blood mixing between men and mer you could possibly imagine.
Her natural hair color is chestnut brown, not pearly white. Her hair was bleached by exposure to strong magical energies at a very young age, when her mother used a teleportation spell on the girl and her twin in order to relocate them from Morrowind to High Rock, to their father’s family.
Getting such a dose of raw magical energy not only made her hair standout in the crowd, but also awoke her own magical talents. Kassie got predisposition to Destruction and Illusion, while her little sister’s magic leaned towards Restoration and Alteration.
Kass considers herself a self-taught mage like her mother, though anyone at the Mages Guild would call her incompetent, unskilled and dangerous to both herself and her surroundings, especially after you learn that this girl favors Fire spells over anything else. She’s chosen fire not so much because of her Fire Resistance inherited from her mom, but rather because of many ways she finds instant fire out of nowhere useful in the wilds. However, Kass is NOT good with her spells: most of them aren’t even real spells, just random conjurations of magical fire and as such, most often than not, she ends up burning something. Usually herself. A nasty burn scar on her left arm and a frequent smell of burnt hair are constant reminders that she's in a dire need of a tutor. On the other hand, her skills in the arts of Illusion are a lot better. The only spells she knows from this school are a Candlelight and a somewhat effective Chameleon which are quite useful and help her out far more often that a little wild magical fire. Lucien believes that the reason why she’s far more successful as an Illusionist, rather than a Pyromancer is because one of her signs is the Shadow, which is known to favor anything that has to do with invisibility and sneak.
Kass was born under two signs, which even Uriel Septim VII himself believed to be of prophetic significance. She was born during the season of the Shadow, on the 5th of the Second Seed, 410 of 3rd Era, yet a wandering sign with no assigned season, which is known to pop up on the night sky every now and again - the Serpent - was also present on the night of her birth. Kass believes that the Serpent is responsible for all the misery in her life, but the Shadow is the one which allowed her to dodge all those miseries despite all odds.
After her daring escape from an orphanage as a kid, Kass ventured to the Imperial Reserve, where a huntsman from Chorrol named Honditar took her in as his apprentice. She’d spend summers at his lodge, learning the secrets of survival in the wilds and would leave before winter, when he went back to the city ‘till next spring. Kass then would go to the Gottlesfont Priory, where kind nuns gladly took her in and taught her about herbs and traditional medicine. Those were the best days of her life.
Years spent living in the wilds made her quite an aloof. She developed a strong dislike for cities and civilization in general, preferring thick woodlands over cramped streets any day. She would only leave the woods and go to the nearest town in order to trade furs and occasional treasure for soap or new clothes. If a certain winter happened to be a bit too harsh she’d find a job at a farmstead as a shepherd or a maid, but as soon as thaw began she’d disappear into the wilds once more. On the other hand, she became a real pro at all this survival stuff. She could make a trap out of anything, track down almost any living being and never get lost in the woods. One look around and she’d immediately know where’s the north, how far is the nearest river and what kind of predator frequents this place. Unfortunately, this also means that she’s absolutely helpless in a city. The streets confuse her, the people annoy her, the guards scare her and there’s no way of telling which way is the exit! Her life in the cities became easier once she discovered a way onto the rooftops though.
Because the wilds are never truly safe, Kass learned to sleep like a rabbit, with her ears perked up and listening. She’s such an incredibly light sleeper, that even Lucien couldn’t sneak up on her during the night of their first official meeting. On the other hand, she has serious troubles getting well rested and can’t stay asleep for longer than four hours without a cup of strong chamomile tea or a sleeping potion. That makes her the second insomniac of the Cheydinhal family right after the Speaker.
Since she’s the wild hermit from the forest, Kassie is an absolute tragedy when it comes to high class socializing. She can’t do small talk to save her own life, doesn’t understand when someone is flirting with her or how to pay back a compliment and most of the jokes totally fly over her head! She is polite, however, mostly due to her having some experience working as a servant girl. Also because of her uncivilized way of life, Kass never had a lesson in courtship. Poor baby does not understand all those sexual innuendos and metaphors people keep telling, has no idea what sexuality is and is absolutely clueless when it comes to sex and/or making out. Madam Josele finds her innocence irresistibly adorable and more than once scolded Lucien for attempting to use his charms on the poor girl.
As such, Kass was never in love before joining the Brotherhood. Lucien Lachance was her crush since day one and he, knowing that, deliberately manipulated her with his charms in order to make her a loyal little puppy by rewarding good behavior with a smooch or a suggestive smile, but punishing undesirable actions by giving her a cold shoulder or talking in harsh professional tone. That being said, Kassie felt that her feelings towards her boss were doomed and so she kept her options open. During one of her contracts she met a rather dashing Dunmeri merchant from Wayrest, with whom she exchanged letters for quite a few months after he went back to High Rock to his boring wife. However, Vicente was the one who pushed Kassie towards Lucien and when she insisted that he already had a mistress, the vampire said something that made her change her mind in an instant: “she gives him what he wants, but you give him what he needs.”
Later in the future, when she becomes a mother to Lucien’s only child and a future High Listener - Lawrence - Kass won’t stay to rebuild the Brotherhood after the civil war. She’ll disappear beyond the mysterious blue door in the middle of Bravil’s lake to never be seen again.
Kass may have a very simple taste in clothes, but boy does she know how to make them! Even though her auntie and a step mother died before the girl was five, she learned quite a few things from her before her demise. Sussana Saryn was a quite popular tailor in Anvil and did miracles with all those fabrics her husband brought to her from across the seas on his ship, and Kassie was always there to help with sewing. Give the girl a piece of cloth, a few needles and a thread and you’ll have a simple but cute dress in less than a day!
Kass is crazy for simple, energetic folk dances, which she learned whilst working at farmsteads during harvest seasons. Nothing gets her feet moving as much as a violin and a handsome farmer’s boy with whom she could spin under a linden tree in the late afternoon ‘till she loses her breath. Ah! Truly happiness lies in small things like these.
Because most of her adolescence she was malnourished, Kass has fallen victim to stunted growth. Even at the age of twenty she’s got thin limbs, small hips and little to no volume in her chest area. Because of this she looks unthreatening and small, which in some cases greatly helps her with contracts in crowded cities and other places where the ability to be unnoticeable is crucial to the success.
Kassie dislikes people, because for the most of her life they were cruel to her and indifferent to her miseries. For this reason she always preferred the company of animals, because in her eyes an animal will not lie, betray or deceive: if it wants to kill you it growls and does not pretend to be your best friend, and if it is truly your best friend then it will gladly follow you to Oblivion and back. Even after joining the Brotherhood she remains quite introverted, preferring to play with Schemer when everyone else is gossiping at the dinner table, or go for a walk with Ragnar rather than have dull conversations with other members of the Black Hand.
For some reason Kass dislikes felines. Maybe it’s because she has to constantly compete with wild big cats for food in the forest, or because she was robbed by Khajiiti highwaymen so many times... She just doesn’t like felines: housecats, wild senches, Khajiits or anything in-between she doesn’t like. The only exception is Vicente’s cat, who lives in his mansion in Blacktown. She’s a fluffy gray Alfiq named after the Queen-Wolf, who somehow managed to win over Kassie’s heart with her big eyes and melodic meows. Must be her magic!
That being said, Kass only makes friends with a few people at the time and stays loyal to them ‘till the end. Her best friend is, of course, Vicente, whom she found very likeable since their first meeting. Monsieur Valtieri became like a father figure to her, a mentor and a friend in one person. She always found vampires fascinating, because they live for so long and most certainly must know a great deal of things! Even in times when she’d doubt Lucien’s decisions, her trust in Vicente’s wisdom would remain absolute.
Kassandra may be polite, shy and unnoticeable, but she certainly can make her own decisions. It is often believed that she’ll do anything for the Brotherhood and will never disobey an order, but in truth she always does things as her heart says. If she’s given an order which doesn’t make sense in her mind and just screams “not right!” at her, she’ll do things her own way. The job will be done, but the contractor may be left displeased.
Her favorite season will always be spring, because with thaw comes warmth, longer days, first harvest of berries and mushrooms, prey comes out from hiding... With spring she can breathe easier, knowing that hungry winter is behind and for the next few months she’ll be busy hunting, gathering and exploring away from those pesky humans and their suffocating cities. Her favorite weather happens to be heavy rain in summer, when the sun is brightly shining from behind the clouds, whilst a wall of warm water falls from the sky, rejuvenating vegetation and washing away dust and sweat. On the other hand, she hates storms. Lightning and thunder were always scary, but in the middle of the woods at night? Absolute nightmare.
Kassie’s favorite food (and beverage) will always be milk. Just your simple milk straight from under a cow. Since most of her diet usually consists of roasted game, raw berries and an occasional fruit, the “normal people’s food” like bread, milk and soup are rare commodities in her life. A glass of warm milk is all it takes to make this lil’ elf a happy camper.
However, ever since becoming Lucien’s agent Kass developed a taste for apples, specifically those big red ones the Speaker always orders from Bretoni merchants. They’re big, sweet and juicy and most importantly they keep both her and her horses well fed.
Once she learned that everyone and their mother in the Brotherhood have their own postal pets, be it a bird, a bat or a magical construct, Kass didn’t hesitate to get her hands on her very own courier. After many hours spent walking about the animal market, she chose a small but witty flying fox, brought to Cyrodiil by poachers from the jungles of Elsweyr. She named her Chestnut.
After some phenomenal events in her life, Kass became heavily involved in Brother Martin’s life. Despite her constantly running back underground to deal with the Brotherhood’s problems, she and Martin became good friends. In fact, she was the only one the prince was not afraid to share his secrets with. At some point she even brought him the Rose of Sanguine so he could destroy it in his ritual and through this, symbolically, destroy his own dark past. He never forgot this gesture.
Kass is one of the few living people who knows that the last Septim did not die at the battle for the Imperial City. She made sure that nobody ever learns of what truly happened on that terrible night and provided Martin, who was no longer in possession of Dragon’s blood nor the Amulet of Kings, with quiet, safe and anonymous life somewhere in the meadows of the newly rebuild county of Kvatch. She’d visit him once every few months up until her journey to the Shivering Isles.
whoo boy, another long one, eh?
welp, y’all know the rules: if you made it to the end have a cookie and praise our Dark Lord while eating it C:

I know this is a lot but can I get 14 18 21 & 22 for Josele and 5 & 7 for Dusk and Dawn please? 🥺👉👈 Thank you!! 💖💖
Acacia~! Hi there again! Thank you for all the questions! Especially for Dawn and Dusk akjdshgiashritu! Yay! Lots of questions to answer for multiple ocs~!
..........
Josele Canty
14) What are your favorite music genres?
I mostly like old folk songs that I picked up from my mom and dad. My dad didn't know that many songs and none of them fit in with "normal" music, as far as I can tell. My mom knew songs that sound, well, more musical. I chalk that up to there being a musician in the family a few generations back.
I kinda know "classical" music. But that's just 'cause I like to dance to that kind of sound.
18) What’s the best way to cheer you up?
I cheer up the most when I spend time with my friends. The exact activity changes with whoever I hang out with, but as long as I'm with a friend, my day gets brighter.
I go out social dancing with Finral (he makes an excellent leader or follower, by the way). Gordon, Gauche, and Grey like to set up tea or coffee with lots of snacks to cheer me up. Noelle and Yami train with me to cheer me up. And when all the girls get together to cheer me up, it's basically a make over day for all of us.
21) Describe your ideal partner.
Hrm. I've never really been truly attracted to anyone other than Morgen or Nacht. I've fancied people in passing but... Nevermind.
If I had to put it into words, my ideal partner is someone who is kind to their very core. That kindness can be apparent or buried deep down, so long as it's there, I'm happy. They'd be someone who puts their best into what they do, even if they have to take time to find the will to do so. My ideal partner should be someone I've known for years and find incredibly easy to love, as in if I'm asked about my love for them, my answer is out the second the question is asked.
I guess ideally, my partner would be skilled enough to go hunting with me and neither Faust has been able to do that. But I honestly prefer Morgen and Nacht the way they are over any imagined perfect partner in my head.
22) What’s the easiest way to flirt with you?
O-oh? Well... Morgen and Nacht both have different pet names for me and all of them make my heart flutter a bit. Morgen calling me his "heart" was honestly the most romantic thing in the world. The sound of his voice and the look of his eyes when he said "my heart"... I miss those a lot... Nacht has lots of pet names for me too. "Darling," "my star," "my angel." He says them so sweetly that I just melt!
I guess another tactic to easily flirting with me is giving little kisses here and there. Long kisses are nice but the those quick pecks are playful and leave me wanting for more later~!
Dawn Faust
5) What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
I train! Whether it's with magic or weapons, I like to make sure I'm at the top of my game! Sure it tires me out but a snack and a shower is enough to bounce me back! Besides, I like to think I look super cool when I train!
I especially love training with my friends and siblings! They've got some awesome spells and it's fun to see them improving too!
7) Who do you look up to?
Oh that's an easy question. I look up to Mother and Father are my main role models of course! I gotta be strong like Mother and I wanna be as clever as Father one day.
Ms. Charlotte, Ms. Noelle, and Ms. Mereoleona too. They're all brave and strong and amazing people who can't be stopped by anything at all! And though I don't really know Uncle Morgen, the fact that I have the same attribute kinda makes me feel like I should live up to the legacy he left behind (you know, minus the evil paladin stuff...)
Anyone who is cool and strong and nice is someone I think it worth looking up to honestly!
Dusk Faust
5) What is your favorite thing to do in your free time?
Read mostly. Fantasy novels, "writing for dummies" sorts of books, gaming rulebooks and modules...
And I write a bit too, but it's nothing special. My friends think the stories I come up with are good, but they're the one doing most of the work by being the heroes.
7) Who do you look up to?
I'd say that my biggest role model in life in Lord Fuegoleon Vermillion. He's a dignified man with strong morals. He's a lot more outspoken than I am but he doesn't have to raise his voice to command respect. I... Don't want to be in the spotlight him, not at all. But I would like to have his confidence one day...
Mrs. Adlai was apparently like me back in the day so I look up to her to reassure me that I won't be a coward forever.
I also look up to Uncle Morgen and the kindness that Mother and Father say he had.
And I guess... Father too. We weren't always close but... He's not good at showing he cares, like me. Still, he protects and loves those he cares about with all his might and even if his best isn't always enough, he tries. I... can't deny that he's a good man.

How does Josele's magic work in combat? Can she only use one emotion at a time or many?
Hiiii~! Hello there, Anon!
And aaaaahhhhh! I'm excited to received a question about an oc just out of the blue kjadhkhasrtui! THANK YOU~!
Okay so the main thing with Josele's magic is that she has the ability to generate elements based on the emotion(s) in her vicinity. Most of the spells in her grimoire that just boil down to "emotion = element."
Josele's magic creates elements based on whatever people are feeling around Josele. If there's multiple feelings going around, then she can switch between spells/elements. It's just that circumstances might not always allow for it.
If everyone around Josele is feeling a singular emotion, let's say fear, then all that Josele would be able to create is Wind Magic, since that's the emotion-element association of her spell.
But in the event that she's feeling courageous while someone else is feeling playful, then Josele could draw on the two feelings to generate Fire or Snow Magic from them.
(Slight tangent: Josele's magic isn't entirely dependent on the feelings of others at a given moment. She can draw out a certain emotion by focusing on memories or just things that make her feel whatever it is she needs to feel. [And she can also ask others to focus on bringing a given emotion out like "think about a happy/sad memory," you know?] But her spells are more powerful when they come from emotions that are already happening naturally.)
Anyways.
There's also the ability to cast two spells simultaneously (seen with people like Yuno, Noelle, and Yami and I'm sure a few others). It takes a decently skilled mage to dual cast and since I'd like to believe Josele is competent enough with her magic, I'd say it's possible for Josele to cast two spells using different emotions at the same time. However, Josele finds it much easier to focus her mind and magic on converting one emotion at a time. So while she can do it, she chooses not to more often than not.
TL;DR: Josele is capable of switching between her emotions-to-elements spells and dual casting spells, but she might not always be able to.

Hello my dear Loo
I would ask for Johan and Sterling it’s platonic of curse (the. Are siblings in my eyes)
💝 ❤️ 💖
Have a good day I hope you do fine my dear Loo 🤭
Hiya there, Marune~! Lovely to see you in my inbox again! Thanks for the support!
Kyaaa~! Sterling and Johan. They're such a cute pair of cousins so of course you can ask about them!
..........
💝 - Future
In the future, Johan of course joins the Black Bulls. He's a little disappointed to know that Sterling isn't in the squad with him, or in the Magic Knights at all. But he knows where to find her for when he needs help researching for a mission. It doesn't just involve Sterling using her Divination Magic to predict the best course of action.
Sterling is great at searching directories and skimming books for information that's needed. If Johan's mission is to investigate a re-opened dungeon, Sterling can help him scour for the old reports on the dungeon. If Johan is chasing an escaped convict, Sterling will find the towns or cities that they might return to and the details regarding their skill set so Johan can fight more safely.
Johan also helps Sterling with her job. She's always cleaning and reorganizing her work space. And she works with a lot of heavy objects. As strong as Sterling is though, Johan's physical abilities as a devil far surpass hers so she'll stack boxes into his arms and then direct him where to take everything.
❤️ - Secrets
Sterling killed to save Johan from some scummy Magic Knights who didn't trust Johan and trapped him, planning to off him. Using her Divination Magic, Sterling discovered that Johan was in danger and went to his rescue. She killed one of the Knights that had trapped Johan. The others got arrested when the rest of the Black Bulls came to the rescue as well. Sterling did serve time (Damnatio was sympathetic but wasn't going to let Sterling off entirely) but the trial was very private with only Nacht, Josele, and the captains and vice captains of the squads present. The records of the trial aren't even kept public. They're privately held at House Kira, with Damnatio's daughter and wife being the only ones with keys to the cabinet holding the information.
It's a dark secret that really bonds Johan and Sterling. Johan is Sterling's cousin and first friend after all, so threatening him is a big mistake.
💖 - Alternate Universe (AU)
Modern AU where Sterling is historian researching relics and artifacts from some old German nobility. Her most recent research subject is a jewelry box. As she's examining the craftsmanship and material and all those other details, she uncovers that the box is haunted by the ghost of Johan Faust.
Sterling at first shuts the lid of the jewelry box, which keeps Johan's spirit from drifting out and about because "nuh uh, now way! Ghosts don't exist! I'm just hallucinating!" Sterling eventually needs to resume her research and goes back to the box and Johan.
Sterling and Johan get to talking. Johan talks about his family, in particular his father Heinrich who studied demonology. His accounts are great for Sterling's research though she'd still need modern sources to corroborate Johan's telling of things, because she can't just say "oh yeah, a ghost told me" without sounding crazy. And yes, Sterling did test if anyone else could interact with Johan with the results being that only she can sense Johan's presence. Anyways, Johan's stories and accounts would also lead to Sterling realizing that Johan is actually her adopted father's ancestor, making her even more invested in researching the ancient Faustus nobles and how their position was lost.
As for why Sterling can communicate with Johan, she might've been into tarot and other mysticism as a teen and she unknowingly unlocked abilities to interact with the supernatural.

Hope I'm not too late for the OC asks! Had a lot going on and only saw the possibility now 😭 🍩,🙊, ☁️ for Helia? And ❤️,🎡, 🌌 for Josele?
Hey there Sun! You're not too late for the OC asks since I just do them as long as people send in questions.
For now, I shall answer the questions posed for Helia and then address Josele's questions in another post. Just so one post doesn't go on for eternity.
..........
😭 - What makes them cry? Do they cry easily?
Helia is a person with a soft heart. Kind of a bleeding heart. So yeah she does cry pretty easily.
If she's discouraged in her abilities, she cries in frustration because she's always been at a disadvantage. Being confronted with her lack of skill in something innate to herself is just so unpleasant. She's also prone to crying when her loved ones are in danger or pain. The people she cares for are so good and kind, so they shouldn't be faced with suffering in her eyes. Thus, when they are, there will be tears.
She also cries when happy. When she first heard that Selen was being possessed by Vetto, Helia freaked out because her brother's body was being used by the Eye of the Midnight Sun. But the tears she shed in the moment were also of relief. Her brother and best friend was alive, she always had hope but the confirmation takes a great weight off her, so much so that she has to cry.
🍩 - Favorite sweet treat?
Dark chocolate mousse! Helia's a sweetheart with a taste for the bitter-sweet (that might explain her attraction to Nozel above most people). Overwhelming sweetness gives her a headache. But if something is too bitter, that's quite upsetting. So putting the two together is the best in her opinion.
Helia loves mousse even if the milk in it gives her a slight tummy ache (she's lactose intolerant).
🙊 - What is something your oc will refuse to stay quiet about?
Helia cannot shut up about jokes. If she hears a joke she finds funny, she is definitely repeating it to everyone she knows. It would get pretty annoying quickly but once Helia tells it to everyone, she's ready to move onto something else.
Also gossip, romantic gossip especially. She's not going to blab to Asta that Noelle likes him. But Helia would definitely want Noelle to say something about it at the next girls' night at the base. She wants to encourage people to be open with their feelings and has fun imagining the cute, possible couples in her circles.
☁️ - A soft headcanon
Helia, Selen, and Aqua (their father) used to put on little musical performances together.
Helia played the lyre/harp. Selen played the flute. And Aqua could sing or play basically any other instrument. The man is a very skilled musician after all. Aqua even taught the twins himself. They often performed slow, romantic ballads most often since those are the kinds of songs written for the twins' instruments.
Estrelle (the kids' mother) and Marine (the twins' younger sister) loved listening to them play.
After the family moves back to the mainland, Helia and Selen would begin performing with Marine who sings with the voice of an angel.

This is two-fold ask, because first I was supposed to hype about Josele!🥰🥰 I read many of the fics you had written for her and I just love the way you tell stories!! I cried when I read about the whole falling out between Josele and Nacht, Josele's decision with her emotions, and their loss of Morgen. It just felt so heartwrenchingly real and raw and beautiful 😭 I just want to hold Josele while simultaneously be her friend.
Secondly, I have for the ask game 😁: 💔, 👤, please?
JKDHAIUGHEGKJAEBGEAIH!
Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun! You're so sweet as always! Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoy Josele and her whole mess of a journey! The dynamics between Josele and the Fausts are just so much. I genuinely enjoyed writing those complex feelings. I even teared up a little when writing the more intense scenes.
Really, the pieces involving Josele might be some of my best works. I don't know why but writing her possesses me with actual competent writing skills and then we end up with the fics that now exist.
I'm touched by your words. And Josele definitely needs to be held by a friend. She needs all that she can get.
Also, I saw all those likes you gave to my fics when I woke up this morning. I just melted and did a happy little dance. It was very kind. You didn't need to go that far but you did and I'm soft~!
So... uh... I guess it's time to move onto the ask game!
..........
💔: Share your most heartbreaking line.
Looks like I'm gonna be spoiling some whump for this one. This is just a really good chunk that I cooked up in one of my possessed writing frenzies. Enjoy. Or cry, either works.
Those memories. The feelings intertwined with them. Everything that Morgen and Nacht brought to her life. They were so precious to Josele.
But now…
The thought of Morgen made her cry until she couldn’t breathe. Nacht had disappeared, taking with him another part of her heart.
Please. Josele begged the heavens, tears streaming down her face. Just disappear already.
👤: Share a line that shows a character's personality.
Okay so you won't have any context for either character in the snippet because they're for Demon Slayer. Note, Shinobu Kochou is canon to KnY while Suzume is @cringeyvanillamilk's oc.
I think this scene does a good job of showing Shinobu's intelligence and faked lightheartedness. It also shows Suzume's as being awkward but also a curious individual.
“The brain is what allows the body to function. That’s why head injuries are dangerous.”
“Is that why cutting off a demon’s head is the main way to kill them, Kochou-sama?” Suzume asked.
“Most likely!” replied Kochou.
Eerily chipper about such a grim topic but that’s her usual demeanor! Suzume pursed her lips and then a thought struck her. “But what if it wasn’t the head? What would it be then?”
Kochou touched a hand to her chin and mused, “Well… For humans, when the heart stops, they die. That’s the short and simple truth.” She abruptly clapped her hands together then laughed, though it sounded forced to Suzume’s ears. “But we already know that demons can take damage to the heart so these kinds of contemplations aren’t of use!”
Hopefully you like what I share, even if one of them is for a fandom you're not in (as far as I'm aware). They were just some of the best examples I could think of right off the top of my head.

Frankie Knuckles
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Francis "Frankie" Nicholls (January 18, 1955 March 31, 2014), better known by his stage name Frankie Knuckles, was an American DJ, record producer and remixer.
He played an important role in developing and popularizing house music in Chicago during the 1980s, when the genre was in its infancy. In 1997, Knuckles won the Grammy Award for Remixer of the Year, Non-Classical. Due to his importance in the development of the genre, Knuckles was often known as "The Godfather of House Music."
Career
1970s–1980s
Born in the The Bronx, Knuckles and his friend Larry Levan began frequenting discos as teenagers during the 1970s. While studying textile design at the FIT, Knuckles and Levan began working as DJs, playing soul, disco, and R&B at two of the most important early discos, The Continental Baths and The Gallery. In the late 1970s, Knuckles moved from New York City to Chicago, where Robert Williams, an old friend was opening what became the Warehouse. When the Warehouse club opened in Chicago in 1977, he was invited to play on a regular basis, which enabled him to hone his skills and style. This style was a mixture of disco classics, unusual indie-label soul, the occasional rock track, European synth-disco and all manner of rarities, which would all eventually codify as "House Music." The style of music now known as house was of course named after a shortened version of the Warehouse.
Knuckles was so popular that the Warehouse, initially a members-only club for largely black gay men, began attracting straighter, whiter crowds, leading its owner, Robert Williams, to eschew membership. He continued DJing at the Warehouse until November 1982, when he started his own club in Chicago, The Power Plant.
Around 1983, Knuckles bought his first drum machine to enhance his mixes from Derrick May, a young DJ who regularly made the trip from Detroit to see Knuckles at the Warehouse and Ron Hardy at the Music Box, both in Chicago. The combination of bare, insistent drum machine pulses and an overlay of cult disco classics defined the sound of early Chicago house music. A sound which many local producers began to mimic in the studios by 1985.
When the Power Plant closed in 1987, Knuckles played for four months at Delirium in the United Kingdom.
As house music was developing in Chicago, producer Chip E. took Knuckles under his tutelage and produced Knuckles' first recording, "You Can't Hide from Yourself" Then came more production work, including Jamie Principle's "Baby Wants to Ride", and later "Tears" with Robert Owens (of Fingers Inc.) and (Knuckles' protégé and future Def Mix associate) Satoshi Tomiie.
Knuckles played as resident DJ at Genesis (Osaka, Japan) for one year (probably in the late '80s or early '90s).
On March 31, 2014, he died of complications from the disease in Chicago at age 59.
In April 2015, a year after his death, Defected Records released a retrospective compilation, House Masters Frankie Knuckles, the tracklist for which had been selected by Knuckles before his death. Also, the same month, as a tribute to Knuckles, a version of his song "Baby Wants to Ride" was released by Underworld and Heller & Farley to mark the year anniversary of his passing. It went straight to number one on the UK's first ever Official Vinyl Singles Chart. All proceeds will go to the Frankie Knuckles Trust / Elton John AIDS Foundation.
Awards and honorable recognition
The Illinois state senator who helped make it happen was Barack Obama." In 2005, Knuckles was inducted into the Dance Music Hall of Fame for his achievements.
In media and popular culture

Knuckles was featured in the documentary films Maestro (2003), written and directed by Josell Ramos, The UnUsual Suspects: Once Upon a Time in House Music (2005), directed by Chip E. and Continental (2013) about the Continental Baths.

October 2004, "Your Love" appeared in the videogame Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, playing on house music radio station, SF-UR.
