totally just want to throw this out here, cause I lvoe talking about Caitlyn and Miss T got it running through my head.
My Caitlyn is not like other Caitlyn's. Much of my interpretation of her takes her away from ehr path to be Sheriff and not at all following how she is in LoL.
My Caitlyn is classified by being neutral good. She's about maintaining a sort of safety, but that doesn't mean its strictly by the rules and laws of the governing city. And it becomes even more prevalent when she starts seeing the shit Piltover is doing. When the corruption becomes visible and she is realizing 'there are more problems then what people realize!'. She does things that are most definitely not by the laws or books; sneaking around onto crime scenes, breaking Vi out of prison, and she literally didn't even say anything to Vi about when she was beating people up, or going after sevika or yelling at the council. I actually watched that scene and they didn't say "Escort Vi out" they said "escort them out". They were going to kick both Vi and Caitlyn out!
I notice a lot of people see to focus more on the LoL Caitlyn, and I'm just like 'nope, mine is very, very different'. Because She doesn't pull this 'you can't hit someone that's wrong' or 'why are you not following the laws!?' Its definitely why I put her down as Neutral Good.
Caitlyn also doesn't judge people for their choices. Vi beating the shit out of Sevika or the guys in the alleyway? She never once claimed she was wrong or anything. She jsut accepted it. She is a non-judgmental person; she will read someone but she doesn't claim tehy are right and wrong.
She'll follow laws, but sometimes, if the law is wrong in her eyes, or if corruption is being done, or if things need a different kind of work (like in Zaun), that what she does. She will literally bend something to her rules and have no problem with it because in her eyes, she has to do what is right whether or not the laws deem it right. Just because a law is there, doesn't mean it is right and that's how Caitlyn very much perceives things. Its also when she goes to the undercity, that she is not so troubled by Violence. Zaun is ruled by violence, the culture is heavily ingrained in it and encourages people both young and old to establish themselves with force and violence. So Caitlyn accepts this view, works to understand it and she doesn't start claiming that its wrong.
She does what is right not by what the laws say, but what is right by her own moral code. And if that means she has to break a few rules then so be it. More reason why I'm just still leaning to her being a private detective, so she can work by her own book and means and not by the laws of the government set on enforcers.
Caitlyn is not a hard-nose, by the books, by teh law woman.
She does what is right set by her own moral code, whether or not the world deems it right. Not everything is so black and white.

One of my favorite post-EPIC headcanons is that Odysseus' family is just completely accepting of all the unhinged sh*t that he's done.
Odysseus, over dinner, some 2 months after his return: And then I finned the sirens, letting them drown. We ate the tails later.
Telemachus, starry-eyed: OMG GUYS THAT'S MY DAD!! THAT IS!! MY DAD!! (points excitedly) ISN'T HE INCREDIBLE?
Odysseus: And later when he wouldn't stop being in my way I stabbed a god repeatedly with his own trident.
Penelope, heart-eyed: That's my husband. My love. Love of my life. You slay, my king.
The rest of the people at the table are 100% freaked out and probably terrified, btw.

I find it so fun how much drusilla revels in being a demon compared to spike who just sorta... is. he likes being a vampire, let's not get that twisted! but one of my favourite lines in the entire show is drusilla going "oh well I'm not a person see" in lie to me and I don't know if spike has like any lines like that? I mean maybe little jokes and snips here and there but drusilla knows she's not human and won't even entertain the idea of being treated as such

in my straw hat!Ichiji, i have covered a lot about Ichijim his character and his eventual character arc during WCI, which brings me to my next point...
Luffy, being Luffy, absolutely librates the other two Vinsmokes and Reiju, after Ichiji informs him that they can't leave, even if they want to
in this AU, Niji is functionally blind and has to rely on the Germa tech goggles or he's blind as a bat and can't survive on his own. he has also pent-up anger towards Ichiji for "choosing" Sanji instead of them and towards Sanji, accusing him for being their mother's "favorite"(it's a delicate situation, they really need to talk about their issues), he was also forced onto the "next heir" role, by default. so...the reluctant heir with badly managed anger issues
Yonji awakened his emotions not long after Ichiji escaped with Sanji and became Judge's next favorite victim. with the exception of Sanji, Yonji couldn't manifest a power of his own and Judge decided to "fix it" by taking away his arms and hands, replacing them with cybernetics. this event shattered his perception of Judge, whom Yonji truly believed loved them for being perfect. as an adult, Yonji is more subdued, but he still believes that if he performs every task perfectly, Judge might accept him despite his "flaw" (aka, his emotions)
Sanji isn't very clued on what's going on, since he's dealing with his own issues. but Ichiji, who's been there as prisoner weeks before him, has found out what's really going on and tells Luffy, once he manages to overcome his own Trauma Fest 2.0™
and that's why Luffy decides that all of Sanji's siblings should be free and do whatever they want.
Whole Cake goes just as in canon, with the exception that Ichiji is a straw hat pirate and manages to flee onboard the Sunny along with his captain and crew. Judge does his usual bullshit speech, as a last chance to not only get under Sanji's skin, but also shames Ichiji for being weak like his mother, chosing his "inferior" brother before Germa's glory and calls him a traitor.
of course, Luffy interprents this as the good things about Ichiji; he's clever, kind, puts his family first and decided to be free.
once they've got Germa and Whole Cake far behind themselves, it's finally revealed what happened to Reiju, Niji and Yonji
they're been hiding in the Sunny's cargo hold, in barrels with fish to avoid detection from Germa's technology. Niji was less happy about it while Yonji just casually remarked that he now knows what raw fish smells like.
now free from Germa's hold, Reiju (after being treated to a nice bubble bath with Nami) thanks Luffy and the straw hats for liberating her and her "silly" little brothers. she warns them that it won't take Judge long time to realize that he's been fully abandoned and will chase her, Niji and Yonji unless they can find a safe place where no one can find them.
so in short, they join on the trip to Wano and once it's liberated from Kaido, they will figure out what to do with their new free lives.
i can tell you already now that Yonji will join the Revolutionary Army, because i think that's very much in his range. in his perspective; World Government is shit, the Marines are shit, the Nobles are shit and especially Germa is shit. so why not fight for absolute freedom? also he's kinda a cyborg (against his will), so that works out.
Yonji: viva the revolution! :D
i have no plan about what Niji will do, though. suggestions are welcome.
as for Reiju, i say she should try to find her mother's real homeland (I refuse to believe Sora is from the North Blue and I headcanon that she was a princess from another kingdom) and live the best life, like the queen she is. :3

Been thinking a lot about how I love Seven x Thirteen yet they're basically a two-for-one combo of two tropes I hate ("incompetent man x competent woman" and "competent woman x even more competent man who upstages her")
And I think part of it is that it is both of those at the same time so it PEMDASes, but I think it's also that it's like
Thirteen: this man's very existence is challenging my worldview. He was a brutal killer but still he has friends who love him and he chooses simple joy. I must kill him or I'll fail my master and I have no one other than my master. But this guy keeps trying to help and protect me and keeps forgiving me. Not having the resolve to kill him is breaking apart my sense of self. I've only ever killed to survive but he makes me want to fight to protect. Could I be valued beyond my usefulness?
Seven: whoa pretty lady :D sick sword moves. Wanna go to the beach?

I think my favorite aspect of Imogen as a character is how she consistently chooses to empathize with and seeks to understand the outsider, even if - or perhaps even especially if - they are viewed as scary or dangerous. The most obvious example thereof is of course her relationship with Laudna. Not only did she choose to befriend and travel with someone who's strange, undead, scary, and the vessel of an evil necromancer, she chose to step up and defend Laudna against her home village despite never having met her before and knowing nothing about her, simply because she saw someone being targeted due to scared people making a snap judgement based on assumptions of the undead. It isn't that Imogen decided Laudna was harmless and innocent (again, she didn't know her at the time), but rather that she saw no one else would as much as slow down to give her a chance.
We see this aspect of her many times in the campaign. She lets the strange little mushroom people of Ruidus take her by the hand and lead her into their scary tunnels. She meets the all minds burn, a scary hive mind entity, not with fear or apprehension but with a willingness to understand. She's one of the strongest proponents in arguing that FCG, an automaton not viewed as a person by the general populace, has personhood and a soul. When facing Predathos, she does so with empathy, and when she releases it at the end she doesn't tell it to fuck off but kindly and even mournfully lets it know there's nothing left for it here. Part of her epilogue is working with emigrating Ruidians, who've lived under oppression and are viewed with suspicion by Exandrians, to help them find a home and belonging.
This aspect of her is also one of her greatest flaws. While it makes her empathetic toward the outsider, it often leaves her suspicious of or judgmental towards the "normal" and accepted, because for much of her life those who are normal never made an effort to reach out to or understand her due to their fear of something not under her control. She will reach out to the strange and scary, but will also turn around and say she isn't sure she wants to save the gods because they don't love her. She will extend understanding to Laudna to the point that Laudna runs straight into the arms of Delilah's temptations of power thinking Imogen will accept this regardless of the harm. She repeatedly questions if the Ruby Vanguard, which is seeking something which will drive an entire people extinct and put the entire world in jeopardy, is right, because many of them are misunderstood and mistreated outsiders like her.
In the end, she makes great strides in extending this empathy even to those who aren’t outsiders, who aren't like her. She's the one to suggest the gods go mortal in an attempt to save both them and the people of Exandria. She sees the gods' actions in Aeor yet views it with understanding. She reaches out to her father before the final battle, and tells her mother he deserves better. Imogen is a balancing act of snap judgements based on past harm and the choice of empathy, and it was at once heart-warming and terrifying to see her grapple with this.

Actually thinking more about Reiju's only sin being a woman and... Going into more depth, I know that logically/canonically she's smart and empathetic enough to not want to be in her brothers' place. She doesn't want to be an heir/ successor or follow the family's footsteps at all. She knows they're bad. She sees herself as such, too, unable to change/be different like Sanji was. She doesn't think she can bring her mother's kindness to this world the way Sanji does, so she sticks to what she knows, whether it is to protect Sanji too or to accept her fate.
BUT (and bear with me for a second here, I know I have been watching too much Succession lately) we also do know that during her childhood she didn't do anything to help Sanji from the abuse. She watched it happen because that was the way things went there and because she knew what would happen to her if she did. Of course, she ends up helping him escape and taking care of him but-- I'm just thinking, for a tiny little moment, about how she's actually the oldest.
She should be the heir. She should be the person everybody views Ichiji as. She should be considered the most responsible. The smartest. The strongest one. The one who should take the throne. And she doesn't even want it now, but what about back then? What about when she did have some little, tiny faith/hopes for her family and what they did? She sought approval and naively thought "my father is going to offer me the place I rightfully deserve, right?" blindly seeking acceptance like all of them did.
But no, because she might be the oldest but Ichiji is a man. She might be the strongest, the smartest, the most reliable... But she is not a man. And I believe there must have been a time when she expected her destiny to be something more, and once she realized she was just a woman in their eyes... Well, we know what happened.
I just keep finding similarities between The Vinsmokes (OP) and The Roys (Succession) and perhaps my headcanon of Reiju being similar to Shiv has gone a bit too far. But the scene where Shiv is like "This is real?" when Logan promises she'll be the CEO and he goes "This is real. Remember this. The slant of light" for it to be a lie later is something I fear could have happened with Reiju and Judge if Oda had given us more content,,,,

Thg non-canon things that are claimed as canon?
Oh man this will probably start some fights lol, but just to be clear I'm not saying that all of these can't be true or people are wrong for believing they are. It's more just that we don't know for sure because they're never confirmed in the source text and therefore (IMO) cannot be labeled as canon. Here are some common ones off the top of my head:
Finnick was the youngest victor ever
Rue's death sparked the rebellion
Everything Katniss did was for Prim (it all started with her protecting Prim, yes, but Prim stopped being her sole motivation after she stepped into the arena)
The Quell was rigged for Finnick to win
Peeta refused to kill (he literally said he would so idk where people got this from)
Katniss was indigenous or Katniss was white (these are the two most common ones I see people claim as canon, but her race was never stated)
Peeta's family didn't care about him or he didn't care about them
Katniss always assumed she'd marry Gale (she said that other people probably assumed it, not that she did)
Career academies
Foxface killed herself
Katniss was the first ever volunteer in district 12
Annie wasn't a Career (there isn't a single reason to believe this)
Peeta was still hijacked after the war
Katniss never experienced desire or wanted to kiss anyone (saw a fan art about this and I was just like, did we read the same books?)
Peeta wasn't a good tribute (boggles my mind that this is a popular take)
Katniss's mom didn't love her, didn't try to reach out to her after the war, and all the other stuff people make up about her to demonize her further
Disclaimer: canon can be murky when there are both books and films. The THG movies repeatedly contradict the books and some characters are completely different than their book counterparts, so it's really not possible for both canons to exist simultaneously in one universe. That's why I view the source material as the ultimate determinant of canon.
Of course, there are some movie-only details that could be true in the books as well, like Finnick being the youngest victor. My issue is more with people claiming that movie details refuted in the books are canon, or combining movie-only canon with book-only canon, or simply picking and choosing what is and isn't canon based on their preferences. I see people do this disingenuously to push certain narratives, like "the weird thing my favorite character did in the movie isn't canon but the bad thing my least favorite character did is".
All of that brings so much inconsistency and bias into the story that it starts to lose meaning and purpose, so I think it makes the most sense to only consider the books "true" canon when viewing the story as a whole.
None of this is to say people can't have headcanons or things they prefer over book canon or anything like that. The fun part of fandom is being able to engage with the material in a way that means something to you personally. So please don't take anything I'm saying as an attack on your opinions because that's not my intention.

okay prefacing that this is only referring to a small but loud part of the community... to follow up on the thing of supposed Lily Z fangirls turning around saying how she's "better than other wags" (????) bc she's "silent and has no public communications and doesn't take up space apart from looking beautiful" (???) (bc apparently we're not even internalizing the misogyny anymore it's just right out there saying a woman should be seen not heard, publicly beautiful but only serve her man and not want attention for herself) but then after praising that she clearly does not want a load of public attention, proceed to freak the fuck out IN. ALL. CAPS. in comments sections everywhere that she appears even in the background and draw attention to a woman who's clearly does not want be in the limelight....
so yea speaking in that vein can the other incredibly obvious fake fangirls of wags please stop using AI beauty filters on these women's pictures and posting them where they can see ?? that is not Lily Z's real jaw or mouth shape, that is not Alex's real nose and that is not Lily H's cheekbones or eye shape. guess what you aren't selling the whole I'm only here for the girls claim when you make it blatantly clear you don't think they're naturally pretty enough and have to run them through digital plastic surgery and yes we can all see how blurred and weirdly smooth it all looks when you do it so I guarantee the women themselves will go 'yikes that's me but... not me'
and reminder that a woman's college degree is not a Barbie accessory nor is it a "selling point" for her boyfriend that's rly disgusting to talk about it that way !!! pls just leave a like on the original photos of wags posted by official accounts if you're unable to inadvertently demean women whenever you post about them (and yes I know a lot of ppl aren't being weird but it's getting way too comfortable in very public spaces !) and also no she doesn't believe you when you claim you hate Oscar and think he's ugly and stupid and wish she'd just... randomly walk where he is but somehow not have him present when how would that work when you never even see her if she's not with Oscar like wtffff are ppl even doing anymore can we calm down and be normal and actually respect women and not treat them like commodities wow

"What if Chujin's Boss Monster Serum worked when Ceroba used Clover's 'pure' SOUL to make it?"
First of all, I very seriously doubt the serum would have worked. SOUL science isn't as straightforward as it seems. Alphys injected Fallen Down monsters with Determination in the hopes that it would make their SOULs persist after death because Determination is what allows human SOULs to linger after the body dies. The logic was sound. But instead the monsters woke up then fused together into Amalgamates. The devs said that Chujin's logic for a "pure" SOUL being needed was because the "impurities" of the Integrity SOUL he used wouldn't mix with a monster SOUL, which is made of love, hope, and compassion--like oil and water. A human SOUL "uncorrupted by violence," meanwhile, shouldn't have the Level Of ViolencE and hate and emotional distance in it that would cause the monster SOUL to reject it. But, again, SOUL science isn't as straightforward as it seems, so there's a good chance that that wasn't all that was needed/if the serum is even possible in the first place. Maybe Ceroba screwed up extracting the impurities from the leftover Integrity SOUL extract she had (pretty likely considering she doesn't have a scientific background). But if she didn't mess up and the serum used "purified" SOUL extract, then it still made Kanako Fall Down from one dose alone. If that's the case, then that would prove that there's more to using human SOULs to make this serum than just "purity."
BUT! Let's throw all of that out the window for a second! Let's say that Chujin had it all figured out and all that was needed was a "pure" human SOUL. Who's going to accept it? The premise of a super serum that can turn ordinary monsters into powerful Boss Monsters sounds like something straight out of a sci-fi story. Most monsters would rightfully have reservations about injecting stuff into their SOULs (which, for monsters, are the center of their being since they're composed of magic and dust)* to make them stronger. "What if something goes wrong and I end up dead or changed forever in some terrible way?" Y'know. Normal things to be worried about when someone tries to offer you something that seems too good to be true.
Besides having reservations about the outcome though, who's going to be happy with what had to be done in order to achieve it? Ceroba had already committed herself to fulfilling Chujin's legacy so she wouldn't (and didn't try to) stop just because she doesn't like the idea of taking Clover's SOUL and using it in a science experiment. But what about all the friends Clover made along the way? All the common enemy monsters that they befriended wouldn't like the idea of their SOUL being experimented on and used for these means because Clover was nice to them, why do they deserve their fate? Dalv would be saddened to hear that the person who was so kind and got him to come out of his shell was killed explicitly because they were so kind. Starlo would be heartbroken to know that his deputy was killed by his best friend to be used for her husband's twisted science project. Axis would be upset to hear that the Hatted Human was terminated (though considering his speech when he meets Clover in the No Mercy Route, perhaps not surprised). And Martlet would be both deeply saddened at the idea of losing her friend and outraged to know that it was their innocence that had painted a target on their back, that choosing to be a good person despite all the pain they were put through made them worthy of death.
But there are more monsters in the Underground than just the ones that Clover met. Surely one of them would see the sense in Chujin's serum? Well, for starters, Asgore and Toriel would flat out reject it and would also be disgusted by it. Toriel loves and tries her hardest to protect the human children that fall into the Underground, entirely innocent or not. Asgore may have killed the fallen humans, but that's because he's too much of a coward to go back on his war declaration. In canon Undertale, he hates the position that he backed himself into. Despite having a staggering 80 ATK and 80 DEF, Frisk can easily take hits from him (even at LV 1) and dish out attacks that can do over 100 points of damage because the strength of a monster is heavily tied to their state of mind. He doesn't want to hurt humans, he just does because he feels like he has to for monsterkind. For god's sake they both raised a human child! Do you think either of them would be happy to know that someone made a serum by targeting, killing, and experimenting on an innocent human child?!!
What about Alphys? Well, I doubt she'd want much to do with SOUL experiments after what happened with her Amalgamates and, again, the serum requires experimenting on an explicitly innocent human to make it. Even Undyne, Número Uno human hater (that Frisk meets in the Underground), would have reservations because 1.) She wouldn't feel like she needs some damn serum to make her stronger when she's plenty capable of kicking a human's ass on her own and 2.) She doesn't hurt the innocent. Monster Kid outright states this. The only reason why Frisk is able to date and befriend Undyne is because they gained no EXP or LOVE up until that point. She has a soft spot for the innocent. Just look at the end of her date with Frisk when she challenges them to hit her and when she realizes that they don't want to hurt her, she comes around to liking them. No matter how much she might tout about how humans suck, the premise of a serum made by harvesting the SOUL of an explicitly innocent, non-hostile, "pure" human would make her skin crawl. Maybe a few monsters here and there would be willing to get behind the serum, but most wouldn't.
The problem with the Boss Monster Serum** is that it's antithetical to what monsterkind stands for. Monsters are supposed to be made of love, hope, and compassion. Targeting and killing innocent humans because they're innocent and extracting power from their SOULs and using it to engineer super soldiers crosses the moral event horizon. If it were used, it would turn monsterkind into actual monsters. And because of that, it never would've caught on.
*Minor Tangent: I'm not certain if this is an appropriate comparison, but if monster SOULs are the scaffolding that the rest of the monster's physical being is built on, wouldn't that make Chujin injecting himself with the Integrity SOUL extract several times the equivalent of performing multiple surgeries on his own vital organs? I'm already aware that Chujin was stupid for doing that to himself, but thinking of it that way makes it sound straight up moronic! Chujin Ketsukane, you're not Leonid Rogozov, why the hell did you do that to yourself?!
**(besides if it's even possible/if monsters would want to risk their SOUL on it)
