Apparently, the gaming director of Tekken didn’t know just how popular bleach (and still is) globally. Was literally part of the “big 3,” of the 2000’s alongside both Naruto and One Piece. This is so funny to me-

Fun Facts About Gorillas
While gorillas are young, they are typically primarily raised by their mothers. They rarely even let other members of the troop hold them, a behaviour even less often observed in mountain gorillas. Gorilla mothers carry their children with them everywhere, provide for them, share nests with them, and protect them constantly. They have even been observed to typically not put down their child for the first six months of its life at all.
When gorilla infants get a bit older, they tend to begin interacting with their fathers more. They’re know to lean on them and involve them in their games. This protects the infants as their fathers care increases their chance of survival if anything happened to their mother, Because then, it’s reported that a lot of times their father becomes the main person to look after the infants.
Despite this, scientifically speaking, gorilla infants have only a 40-75% survival rate in the wild. Meaning, a significant portion of baby gorillas die young.
Why is this important information? Because Johnny is a gorilla. To be more specific, he’s apparently a Mountain Gorilla.
So yes, Marcus being an overprotective father makes absolute perfect sense. Especially if aspects of their base species are being kept besides their design.
As does Johnny primarily taking after his mother and being a mom’s boy, even years after her death. Because he would have been extremely close with his mother during his early years of life. He likely would have been with her constantly, hardly ever around other people, besides maybe his father, and definitely not left in the care of others often.
And Marcus would have become protective after Johnny’s mum’s death because that’s what Silverbacks do. They take care of their kids. He would be overprotective because he’s already lost a member of his troop and he doesn’t want to lose his kid now too.

I guess I held onto my secret conspirational thoughts on mass effect for so very long that it's almost too late to bring them out now, but
without ceremony, my secret thoughts on the political logic of the state of mass effect sociopolitical fuckery is that, by the point in time where the trilogy is happening (and before that too obviously), almost everything is the fault of the turian hierarchy.
(excluding reapers of course)
and I shan't elaborate further until the empire of preys is out, but.
it's been my borderline literal pinboard conspiracy for about ten years now. ;;

To Saqqura:
What will you name the Cardinal? Also, why does the bird remind you of your dad?
Arrian reads the short message, raises his head and looks at Saqqara who is watching him. "Yes, I think so too. No one else would come in to consideration. They keep popping up, they can't be eradicated, and they probably watch everything."
Saqqara nods. "Bloody Harlequins." He grimaces. "I've told the Chief Apothecary so many times to destroy the portals to the Webway! But no, he wants to keep that for whatever obscure emergency. And now we have these Eldar here forever."
"As soon as they get bored or their bizarre god stuffs a new idea into their brains, they'll be gone again for good." Arrian is obviously a little more relaxed about the whole thing. This may be because Saqqara naturally views Cegorach with much suspicion and anger, while the World Eater sees the old god as just another monster in the minds of his followers.
"But these letters are new," he said. - "And you know how persistent they are. Presumably it's cultish."
Saqqara looks at Arrian very warily, suspecting - probably correctly - mockery of religion, but Arrian only returns the look very openly and with a smile that distorts the scars on his cheek.
Finally, the Word Bearer sighs, raises his head defiantly and declaims: "To whom it may concern …. I have named the little bird Urizen because the Primarch has noted the beauty of this animal in several epistles and included it in his texts. I don't know what personal connection he has to it, possibly he finds it amusing that these birds were named after a religious rank in ancient times on Terra, which we still use today. Presumably the plumage colour refers to the colour of the prelates' clothing."
He shrugs. "And that's basically it."

deppstains claim that people advocating for amber heard are a “disgrace to feminism” as if feminism means you should support a violently misogynistic man while simultaneously treating a woman with such sick misogyny for speaking up against that man for 6 whole years
these people make me physically ill

Ugh, can't believe I forgot that not only Professor X but Kitty Pryde were willing to give Senator Kelly the "good man, just afraid" treatment while he spouted a mutant based version of great replacement theory.
I know the chain of events ends badly, but I'm feeling very sympathetic to Mystique's assassinate Kelly plan. Dude is gearing up to lead a genocide. Good people don't do that.

So I'm rewatching some Sanders Sides, and I'm noticing that Logan checks in a lot more recently on Patton through than he ever did prior. Like, even in WTIT, he still checks to make sure that Thomas is alright before he pushes him to work, and we know that he's checking on Thomas' emotional state because he not only is using the "Logan is talking to Patton genuinely" soft voice, but he also checks in on Thomas and Patton with that in other vids as well. And I was confused as of why, but I think with rewatching Moving On, I get it.
We see that Virgil in Moving On is given a lot of deference by Logan, however while Patton himself is not outright saying anything, the concerning language Thomas uses when Logan tries to talk to him is clear that something is wrong. This is the only way Logan can figure out what he needs to do, and how to solve the situation by the end of the episode.
Patton also seems to have a very different response to many situations when first leaving his room or being inside of it. Obviously Patton is sad in Moving On, however when he first appears or is in his room, there's always this layer of brightness and peppiness, which Patton is pretty well known for. However, either under heavy scrutiny or as he separates himself from the room, he grows more serious and has more genuine reactions to issues.
I have a feeling Patton's room is designed to soothe over those bad feelings. To make people happy in the short term, but the longer one stays in while being forced around by emotions, the less likely they are to actually be themselves. And Logan recognizes this, which is why he always makes sure that the issue isn't a strictly emotional one beforehand, because I'm sure he also recognizes that Patton's room is incredibly unhealthy, even for the side who lives inside.
Edit: More evidence in part two, but Patton instantly goes to brushing off the bad feelings with "I'm silly", and Janus also uses this and people don't recognize that it's supposed to be worrying at that moment. It's almost a reflex in the room, and if it's also a reflex outside of it, then it's likely a part of how his room operates. But over time he's more genuine, which proves the room works.
This also ties into the "At first this room does bring a jolt of happiness" line. I think that's going to be what breaks this poor side, is the return to the horrible present while hiding in the past. I think Logan knows this, I think Janus knows this, and I'm certain Patton knows this. I just hope that he decides to leave that space quickly this time, before the present drags him out while he's not prepared...
