its so weird to read some of my old fics (do NOT do it but i'm just being hypothetical rn) and reading it. like who even was this person?? i completely was in a haze back in 2020. i literally was posting 3 chapters a day. A DAY. what in the WORLD was that shit.
anyway i remembered some STUPID sappy shit and i didnt remember if i'd put it into a fic or not BUT I FOUND IT.
She and Hope had been dating in secret for months anyway, and any attempt to go talk to Ryan only filed her disposition of displeasure upon knowing that she couldn’t tell anyone, Molly especially, it destroyed herself mentally. They couldn’t really go anywhere near the school, always having to lie to everyone about having projects together when Molly wasn’t around them. It’d consisted with 9 PM - 2 AM intervals of being able to actually see each other. Hope would sneak through her small bedroom window with a portable record player and whatever she had gotten from the vintage record store downtown, and Amy would always fall asleep around eleven because of her internal clock. She would always wake up to find a single sticky note stuck on the edge of her desk whenever she woke up to her alarm the next morning. One of them, Amy still had tucked inside of her phone case, a heavily detailed human heart, with blue and red ink sketched onto a neon pink sticky note, there was a caption that headed the small paper reading the phrase over every now and again makes her almost melt every time. “You have my heart.”
yeah idk why the fuck but i thought of this fucking idea again today and i was like "omg did i ever put that heart note thing in a fic???" yeah you fucking did.
all that to say ME AND WHO???? imagine. thats so fucking.... RAHHHH.
#NOT TOH FANFIC#see this is why i write fanfic. to enact some gay ass shit like this.#the fucking STICKY NOTE WITH A DRAWING OF A HUMAN HEART AND SAYING “YOU HAVE MY HEART” I AM ON THE FLOOR.#*sighs* sucks i cant reuse it on lumity though.#my friend making me realize i actually have rizz but am just too much of a disaster to actually understand cues with people#its a MESS. im just all over the place. i literally ranted to THE SAME FRIEND yesterday (or the day before??) abt some girl jesus.#anyway i remember writing A LOT OF POETRY back in hs about this one girl and then the same girl i got to talk to--#--my first actual conversation with her i blurted out that i wanted to shave my head. she was like.... oooooo god i was A MESS#still slid into her school dms during covid and was like “haha guess what i actually mf did???” anyway all that to say underlying dysphoria#they're nonbinary now too and i kinda ghosted them like a complete idiot :(. its been two years or so but i still think of them... a lot...#actually i have more lore about this person and its like istg they actually really liked me but i could not pick it up.#we had such SUCH good chemistry and vibes. n they were really pretty. ughhhhhh.#anyway yeah idk crushes are weird sometimes. the universe knows how unstoppable id be with a partner#i feel like i was the reason they were able to find themself and their identity because when we were talking i always encouraged them#and told them to do what felt right. im glad they did. i think sometimes that brings me peace. like i served a purpose.#STILL showed them toh. STILL SHOWED THEM TOH.#we were talking about amity LMAO “this green haired girl seems interesting” SHE SO WAS.#...yeah i wish i could text them but i kinda probably fucked it up.#shitposting shit#idk what this post is i just wanted to talk about this dumb sticky note thing because im rotating it in my brain and remembering how#mentally ill i was back in 2020#talking into the void yk how it isssss

okay so, you know, Hunter has this huge obvious crush on Willow
and once he comes to terms with and realizes this, of course he’s going to start trying to like, figure out What To Do About It
so please imagine Hunter spilling his romantic woes and agonies to his bestie Gus during their basement bros time, except, like, Gus is 12 and knows less than nothing about dating or affairs of the heart and frankly isn’t exactly interested in that kind of thing just yet
so naturally he refers Hunter to Luz, who as he sees it is the most romantically intelligent person in this friendgroup. she’s IN a relationship AND she absolutely loooves all that gushy stuff, so she must know all about it!
and Hunter and Luz are like, bound by blood. they’ve both seen each other at their worst, they know each other’s most dreadful and personal secrets, they would die and kill for each other, and all of that is great - but Hunter cannot bear the thought of pulling Luz aside and trying to tell her he thinks he’s Developed Feelings For The Captain
it’s just too mortifying. also, he’s pretty sure she would like, squeal and hug him, and he does not want her to make a big deal out of it. also she’d probably try to come up with some kind of romcom scheme to get them together and he also doesn’t want that. so no. Luz is out.
but then he realizes... he can ask Amity Blight. she’s ALSO in a relationship, after all! the same one Luz is in, even! and she’s known Willow longer, although he’s gathered from things the others have said that there’s a bit of a contentious history there? he doesn’t like the fact that she was Mean To Willow, but then, he was also Mean To Willow once, so he supposes that if she’s really trying to do better he can’t hold it against her (and it also means SHE can’t judge HIM, he figures - glass houses and all)
so. he goes to Amity. and present this to her as an incredibly serious matter that he requires her expertise on. and of course Amity is also going to take it seriously, because her own reservations re: Hunter aside, Willow deserves a competent and heartfelt courtship
unfortunately, Amity is 1) so gay that sometimes she forgets other people aren’t 2) not very socially astute or emotionally observant 3) just kind of a disaster?
so anyway their first conversation ends with Amity having Hunter half-convinced Willow doesn’t even like boys. Amity promises to investigate this on her own, but like - you know that one comic about Hunter trying to come out to Belos that just involves him walking into a room and shouting BOYS at his uncle? that’s basically how she goes about it.
Willow thinks Amity’s maybe trying to come out to her as bi? and reassures her that’s fine, to which Amity says ugh, of course not, then realizes how rude that sounded and panics a bit, and somehow they end up talking through Amity’s own anxieties re: her extremely nonbinary girlfriend’s gender stuff and what it means for her own sexuality
Amity leaves this conversation feeling really comfy and secure and settled on that issue and it isn’t until half an hour later that she remembers she was supposed to be gathering info for Hunter. she has no choice but to return to him in utter disgrace and tell him that, tragically, Willow is simply inscrutable and far, far too powerful.

* Blight siblings walking back home after Adventures on the elements *
Edric, looking at Amity: So... Luz?
Amity: Ugh! Yeah, can you believed that she lied about knowing a second spell? I didn't really care that she didn't knew one, but did she had to lie and get everyone in danger? Of course she apologized and saved the day at the end, because that's just what she does, and now she does have her second spell and I'm really proud of her about that. And also it means that we're gonna be seeing eachother at school a lot and I'm kinda happy about it! But still... Right?
Edric: ... That wasn't what I was asking Mittens.
Emira: Yeah, it was more a "so... You have a crush on Luz?" Thing.
Amity, blushing furiously: What?! No, I don't!
Emira: Riiiiiight. That's why you were getting distracted everytime she came around during training.
Edric: You never get distracted during training.
Emira: And it's why you left her behind so she wouldn't get hurt while you went to rescue us.
Edric: True, you're more the "clean your own messes dumbasses" kind of girl.
Emira: And that's why you were blushing talking to her just a moment ago...
Edric: ...And not your "angry fairy" blush! This one was cute!
Amity, still furiously blushing: Guys stop! I don't have a crush on Luz! She's my friend, ok? I'm just excited I'm gonna get to see her at school now! It's not like I lay awake at night thinking about her!
* Later in the Blight Manor *
Amity, laying on her bed: ...Oh, crap.

Lumity Love Languages - WLW Edition
At this point I’m pretty sure the majority of the fandom knows about my love languages post (and if you don’t, then you’ve heard of bloodraven55′s update). For those of you who don’t feel like reading that entire essay, here’s the gist of it: Luz shows love through acts of service while Amity shows love through touch. They are therefore oblivious to each other’s feelings because they don’t realize that that’s how the other person shows love.
So the only way for Luz to overcome her oblivion, and for both to realize the other reciprocates, is for each one to understand the other’s love language.
Fortunately for us, they did! This episode of The Owl House had Luz and Amity taking massive strides in understanding each other and showing affection in ways that the other will understand.
Tumblr media
We’ll start with Luz, because she did quite a bit. In the past, she has used touch as a way of showing friendly affection towards everyone she meets. For example, she hugs Willow, like, every time she sees her. (It got to the point where many of you made like Amity and assumed there was some romance building up between the two). And she’s always clinging onto Eda or letting King climb all over her.
Tumblr media
But in this episode, something changed. Luz was a little more purposeful with her affections. Sure, she hugged Willow. But she didn’t really touch anyone else in this episode, even Eda or King. When she touched Amity, however, it was purposeful. Giving her the confidence symbol/hair clip and touching her hands gently while doing so. Carrying her when she was hurt, even though she has weak nerd arms, because after Amity’s fear-filled life, Luz is determined to be her fearless champion.
Tumblr media
Speaking of the weak nerd arms...did you notice that Luz’s arms were weak until after Understanding Willow? I mean, when you think about it, her shows of arm strength are always around Amity. Dancing with her at Grom, carrying her to the infirmary.... And this all happened after she spent time in Willow’s brain, learning about how touchy Amity is. The moment she realized Amity likes being held, she suddenly became stronger. This means that either she collapses in exhaustion when she gets home after spending time with Amity, or she exercises every day so she’ll be strong enough to carry Amity.
And the thing is...this stuff worked. In previous episodes, Amity was a gay disaster. But this episode took it to entirely new heights. She’s at the stage that I would’ve labelled as a “bad crush” and then undertaken some serious gaslighting, conditioning, and avoidance strategies to stop from hurting that person (oh look internalized homophobia). She’s panicking at everything Luz says. She’s blushing so much that Luz probably thinks she has a skin condition. Her gay thoughts are so strong that she’s saying them, rather than keeping them to herself. Luz is doing the things that make Amity fall faster, and Amity is falling faster. (Literally).
Tumblr media
And now: Amity. Amity’s journey is even cooler because in this episode, there is concrete proof that she actually realized Luz’s love language.
But before that? Amity was still doing what makes Luz happy. Luz likes grand gestures/acts of service, and Amity sure delivered.
The episode literally started with her roasting Boscha. Which is huge. Ever since she was a child, Amity has been forced to keep Boscha as a friend, even though she hates her. So now, for to just stand up to her, asking when she will grow up, and effectively ending their friendship? That’s amazing. It takes courage, and it’s exactly the thing that will make Luz fall.
Tumblr media
But then, she and Luz had that conversation on the bleachers. The one where Luz literally said, “Winning this game is the only way I know how to help.” Luz genuinely doesn’t understand that people can be comforted in ways that don’t include elaborate schemes. And now that Luz has spelled it out for her, Amity finally gets that.
Tumblr media
So that’s when we see a change in the way Amity shows affection. Immediately after hearing Luz say that, and then watching Luz agree to...well, to pretty much die for Willow, Amity immediately gets Willow and Gus for help. She throws away her social life and risks catching even more feelings for Luz, by agreeing to play the game with her.
Tumblr media
At this point, you can tell she doesn’t expect reciprocation. She’s not losing her status, risking incurring her parents’ wrath, and risking Luz rejecting her and hating her forever, just so Luz will like her. She’s doing it because she knows Luz will be happy if she does that. That’s what makes it such a grand gesture: she’s willing to throw away everything that makes her happy, just so that Luz can be happy.
And then, she doesn’t lose all that. What she does lose: the integrity of her leg. Guys, Amity literally got her leg broken for Luz. At a tiny after-school fight. She’s in a cast. She had to suffer through Hooty picking her up and moving her. Even though things didn’t go as badly as they could go, she still sacrificed a lot so Luz could be happy.
Tumblr media
Luz and Amity are learning. They have effectively swapped love languages in the past episode, just to make each other swoon. Their days of oblivion are soon coming to an end, since they’re both doing everything they can to make each other fall in love.

Warning: Video spoilers and meta analysis for Owl House season 2 episode 5
I loved this episode so much for so many reasons!
The implication that Luz has been borrowing Gus’ library card on such a regular basis that he not only knows that’s exactly why she’s shown up at his house but has also figured out that Luz has been going there specifically to visit Amity, Luz flipping out over seeing Amity with her hair down, the twins having exactly the energy that the fanon imagined as they give Luz a friendly razzing and then quickly come up with a cover story for leaving once they realize they’re being third and fourth wheels, Luz’s “I came here to see you and, uh, here you are *nervous laughter*” which has just about the same energy as, “Luz, you’re here! I mean, obviously you’re here. This is school and you go here now with, uh, me… I’ve been talking for too long” except somehow with more blushing, blushy bi disaster Luz and the mutual blushing in general is just so precious (my gay heart can’t take it!), the body language that wordlessly but clearly communicates “She’s touching my hand!” and “I’m touching her hand!” after Luz’s “You won’t lose your job, I promise” line, Amity realizing she can have a date with Luz in the human realm if they find the journal and making it her personal mission to track that bad boy down, their celebratory giggling and then mutual shushing in the forbidden stacks when they find the journal are absolutely adorable
Also, can we talk about Amity confiding in her siblings about how much her life has changed since Luz entered it and Em being supportive and telling her it’s probably not a bad thing? There’s something so wholesome about the Blight siblings hanging out while Ed preps for his date (with someone thus far only referred to using gender neutral pronouns, which I really hope they follow up on) and Em brushes Amity’s hair and Amity can just talk about how she’s feeling, I love that for them!
Amity dyeing her hair pink as an act of rebellion and cutting it as a sign of a new beginning (a very common bit of symbolism tied to cutting one’s hair), Luz once again showing her loyal and caring nature by going through trials to get Amity her job back and gently booping the echo mouse with her nose, Amity being so overcome by Luz’s capacity for caring and helping that she just kisses her on the cheek before she can even think to stop herself, effectively confessing her feelings to Luz without ever having to directly say them, Ed’s “Bold move, sister” line, the way Amity’s voice breaks and rasps when she says, “Why did I do that? Why’d I do that? Why’d I do that? Why’d I do that?” to emphasize the sheer Gay Panic ™, Luz looking down at Amity’s lips as Amity begins to panic, Luz having an entire existential crisis on the ground as she realizes that her budding feelings are not only mutual but that Amity’s probably been into her for a while and she just never noticed, which seems like a perfect place to end the episode
Based on these events I think we’re going to see Luz’s promised coming out scene sooner rather than later, I think Luz will have to make a move if she wants to be with Amity because Amity will be too panicked about possibly upsetting Luz or ruining their friendship with that kiss, after they resolve that tension though Luz and Amity will probably be spending a lot of time together as they find out more about the journal, and Amity will continue to push against her mother’s slipping hold on her life until the situation reaches critical mass at which point I suspect that Alador and the twins will take Amity’s side and that Amity will reach a level of power that Odalia will actively fear so much so that she would stop all her bullshit
Not that I think Amity would ever hurt her mother but Odalia only knows manipulative tactics, abuse of power, and ruling through fear so she of all people would realize it’s prudent not to piss off someone as powerful as Amity is shaping up to be, same with Luz honestly, I feel like once Odalia sees what a power couple Lumity is gonna be she won’t want to mess with either of them
This episode was huge in so many ways and I’m immeasurably excited to see what comes next!

I love your Society Au so much can you pls give us more info I also really want to know how Camilla would react when she finds out what luz has actually been up to
the serotonin this ask gave me
took a While for Camila to find out. hell, she learned Eda existed LONG before she realized the masked kid some people talk about is HER kid. I imagine she’d find out like,,,after shes put in The Box for general mind-control maintenance and the gang was showing up at the same time to burn an entire clutch of boxes to the GROUND. arson times. course they checked the boxes to make sure nobody was in there but in the middle of checking there was an issue and shit started blowing up prematurely. Camila’s box got knocked over so it Broke w her for a moment. she came to consciousness to see everything exploding and on fire with some kids grabbing unconscious/mind-controlled people and throwing them out of the way. Camila takes 1 look at the kid with the red canine mask grabbing at her n knows On The Spot that, without a doubt, thats Luz. she’d seen the masked kid from afar before when they were causing shit but never up close. you can imagine the shitshow that followed when Camila was demanding answers and Luz looked ready to bolt to the nearest countryside barn for the next week and succeed.
Amity and the twins are the only ones who know of and have seen life outside of the Boiling Isles. so, ofc, one day when Luz and Amity are on Okay terms and Not trying to fight each other, Luz asks what the world outside the Boiling Isles is like. shes Very excited bc shes heard from her mami and adults who weren’t born in the town that, while its certainly not perfect, its better than this place and actually kind of fun and, you know, not as overrun with mutants and kind of...normal. as normal as it could be, at least. n Amity just. stares at her for a moment. bc its then it starts to sink in that Luz, and everyone else in Bonesborough, really are trapped. Luz has no idea what a center park looks like, what skyscrapers are, hell, she probably hasn’t seen a fully-leaved tree in years. n Amity knew what all of that was bc she got to grow up with it. maybe not always experiencing it but she at least got to See it. n many other people in Bonesborough had no idea what any of those things looked like, either. she spent many hours explaining all she could to Luz, who listened with such interest you’d think Amity was telling her where Belos resided.
Eda will, on occasion, go ‘missing’ for a few days. typically its when she wants to hide away for whatever reason, or is following a trail to something that might be important, or simply just went Off The Grid for a while. everyone got used to it after a while, and the rule of thumb is that if theres absolutely ZERO sign of Eda by the dawn of day four, then they should probably start looking for her. chances are she got captured or stuck somewhere. Willow found out that sometimes when Eda goes missing, she’ll appear closer to the sketchier parts of Bonesborough and generally just act,,,,fairly normal. Luz asked her about it once and Eda gave the simple answer of “living without people feels wrong after a while” and left it at that.
the kids have gotten v good at holding their breath, considering the amount of times they’ve had to dive into the nearest body of water and hide under the surface. Amity did not know this. so when Willow jokingly shoved him off a small stone bridge into a pond and he didn’t pop up after a moment she started Panicking. Luz was quick to assure “nah its cool he can just hold his breath for a while” and proceeded to show off. anyway im gay for underwater kisses so u get to imagine that.
Viney helped Emira that ONE time (on accident, mind you) and now Emira is emotionally attached. you showed her basic human kindness, now shes staying forever. any time the twins are out and about and Emira ‘happens’ to spot Viney she NYOOMS over w the best Casual Flirt face she can muster like “hey Vines, hows it goin?” n Edric at first gave her an apologetic look but then he thought Viney was cool too n also started bothering Jerbo so now Barcus pitifully watches from a distance. it was one of these “lets annoy the pretty mildly-nice kids” sessions that Amity found out her siblings are A) disasters and B) aware of the Double-Track kids existence

Congrats on predicting that Amity would be the disaster gay instead of Luz.
I mean, for now but imagine how Luz will be once she not only realizes her feelings for Amity but also learning that Amity likes her two.
They’d both b a pair of dorky stammering messes that trip on air if they’d even think of the other

A witch loses a true...
           Recently, @disneytva released the title for another episode; ‘Enchanting Grom Fright’, which by itself this is already a big deal, but no surprise; We know there’s going to be a Grom episode from the latest sneak peek. But what IS interesting is the specific title, because this means that all of our known episodes spell out;
“A witch loses a true” with three letters left to fill in.
If we ignore the possibility that Seasons 1 and 2 form one sentence (and thus the Season 1 sentence will be incomplete), this means we have only three-letter words to worry about; This narrows things down QUITE a bit and makes speculation a lot easier.
And, we can assume that Enchanting Grom Fright comes right after Understanding Willow, because I’ve considered the possibilities if the word wasn’t ‘true’, and none of them have an E while making sense (I mean there is Truster but I already went over that). Mind you, this episode title may not be accurate- Really Small Problems was initially leaked as Mini-Problems by @disneytva, and they aren’t an official source. But considering how well ‘true’ fits into the sentence, and how much the title itself makes sense… Let’s for now operate on the assumption that Enchanting Grom Fright is accurate.
(Even so, I could always be wrong)
           So after scrolling through a surprisingly comprehensive list of all three-letter words, I came up with a couple that might finish off our mysterious sentence;
Luz
Mom
Pal
Owl
BFF
Vow
Kid
Spy
Gay
Hug
Bud
Law
Win
Pet
Art
Sin
‘A witch loses a true Luz’ would be interesting, as this implies that Luz is cut off from either Eda or Amity. Given how Lilith has taken King hostage, perhaps Luz is captured, or Camila arrives to take her back to the human realm, leaving Eda behind. Or, Eda loses Luz… because she herself is captured. None of these options are pleasant, and if we’re being real, I don’t think the rest of them are going to be.
‘A witch loses a true mom’ is also concerning, as this can apply to Eda, who may get captured or leave everyone behind after a permanent transformation. Alternatively, Camila is captured- Or if we want to try a darker option… Perhaps Camila disapproves of Luz’s adventures and tries to bring her back home, separating Luz and Eda. Alternatively, Luz ends up arguing with Camila, and decides to stay in the Demon Realm forever, with Camila sent back to the human realm while Luz closes the gateway and decides never to return home. Thus, she loses her ‘true’ mother, Camila. And for all we know, this could be Amity losing her ‘true mom’, Lilith, who is likely a better parental figure than Mrs. Blight. If Lilith keeps failing, Belos may become displeased with her…
Pal, BFF, Bud- They all mean the same thing, so let’s condense them together. Given how King is captured by Lilith at some point, this could refer to him; Perhaps King DOES have a hidden importance we don’t know of. If he WAS the Boiling Isles Titan, or another powerful figure, perhaps Belos learns about King and switches priorities towards capturing him. ‘A witch loses a true pet’ could also apply to King, although… He doesn’t like being called a pet. Regardless, King could become a specific target for the Emperor’s Coven, and not just because of his association with Eda. I imagine in safer circumstances he might be flattered by the attention.
‘A witch loses a true owl’ could apply to the aforementioned scenarios of Luz and Eda being separated, but it could also apply to Owlbert- Or maybe even Hooty, who is seen injured at some point. And given the speculation of him being an Owl Deity of sorts by @fermented-writers-block, this could make him a target for the Emperor’s Coven- Or, the Owl House itself is lost by our main protagonists, who no longer have a home!
‘A witch loses a true kid’ could apply to Luz, or maybe Amity cutting ties with Lilith after seeing her conflict with Luz… But ‘true kid’ is an unusual term, so this is unlikely.
There’s also ‘A witch loses a true vow’, which might suggest that an Everlasting Oath from Covention will come up. Perhaps Amity casts another one, or it’s Eda, or Lilith, or maybe even Belos, who’s punishing Lilith for her failure after she promised to capture Eda! The results may not be pretty…
‘A witch loses a true spy’, perhaps Belos loses Lilith’s loyalty after she realizes the corruption of the Coven System! Or, maybe Lilith tries to use Amity to get to Eda, but Amity herself has a turn of heart and makes a stand!
‘A witch loses a true gay’ is just a joke. Let’s be real, Disney would never allow Dana. I’m just including it here because of Luz and Amity’s recent interactions and all… ‘A witch loses a true hug’ could also mean that Luz and Amity get interrupted at some point, but I dunno. Don’t take this bit seriously.
‘A witch loses a true win’, maybe Eda is close to defeating Belos, or her sister, but loses at the last second, leading to disaster. Or Lilith/Belos fail to capture Eda- Or maybe Lilith tries to defy Belos and almost gets away with it, only to lose and possibly be captured/forced to flee.
‘A witch loses a true art’, maybe could mean the arcane arts of magic? Luz loses the ability to perform the original form of magic? This one’s a stretch, I’m just trying to account for all possibilities here. Similarly, ‘A witch loses a true law’ could mean that something happens involving the Coven System, perhaps people begin to defy Belos’ order. And ‘A witch loses a true sin’ doesn’t really mean anything that I can think of, it just sounded cool so I included it.

Title: The Gay Agenda is Hand Holding
Setting: Spoilers for Enchanting Grom Fright!!!!
Summary/Excerpt:
"Have I said sorry yet?" Amity asked, mostly to break the silence.
Luz attempts a smile. "Only, like, fifty times."
"Good." Amity risked a lot by squeezing her fingers, and was pleased to have the gesture returned. "Are you... okay?"
The human's face crumbles. Luz sucked her bottom lip into her mouth and bit down hard to avoid tearing up, but that only really works when you're with someone who doesn't recognize that song and dance, and Amity has done a lot of that in her life. "She- it called me cariño. I didn't realize how much I missed that."
Tumblr media
So uh. Shit's gay.
I get mushy every flipping time this sort of thing happens, but I'm just really excited kids get to see this stuff! Amity's honest struggling with her crush, Luz being a bisexual disaster, etc. And Owl House has so many other dynamics as well that- King being like a little brother, Luz's complicated relationship with her mom, Amity's shitty parents. Kids get to see this stuff, man. They get to see that they aren't alone. Makes me really happy.

Gay Panic Attacks of Wing it Like Witches, Ranked
Now let me start by saying, all five of these gay panic attacks are primo, CHOICE gay panic attacks.  Any one of which would have watered my crops for a season.  But some gay panic attacks are more equal than others, so let’s start at the lowest-ranked one:
Number 5: Amity is interrupted from her “I Shot A Kid”-style heroic angst over having played sportsball too hard by realizing she was like, nose-to-nose with Luz, and thus, TOO CLOSE AFDSDAFDSF.
This is a fine and lovely gay panic attack, as I said before, love it.  It’s not only adorable but it also does this fun thing where it jerks Amity out of Amity’s Dark Past Mode directly into Gay Disaster Mode, and I love that.  It is only down here because of what is to come, because the competition for Best Gay Panic Attack in this episode is FIERCE.
Number 4: “I’ve been talking for too long” In this one, Amity just straight gay-up has a direct and obvious inability to talk to Luz, because she is head-over-heels in love with Luz, and talks herself in big, obvious circles avoiding this.
This is made even sweeter by Luz’ utter and total obliviousness here. It’s just a delight watching Luz have ZERO AWARENESS of Amity’s gigantic gay panic attack.  Delightful.  But now we’re getting into the real heavy hitters.
Number 3: Cute Uniforms??? SWEATING?!?!  The mere thought of playing a contact sport with Luz causes Amity’s entire mind to dribble out her ears.
Breathtaking.  Marvelous.  A delight to watch.  Amity’s strangled “I GOTTA GO” as she flees is beautiful.  It’s also got this cherry on top: Luz announcing “Well, she’s out.”  She sure is, Luz.  SHE SURE IS.  This one was VERY narrowly edged out by:
Number 2: Ha ha ha, Who’s Amity/Oh Wow Sports.  Amity tries to laugh off what appears to be a whole-ass broken ankle to avoid the terrifying possibility that Luz might BRIDAL CARRY HER HOLY Fffffffffff-- [oh wow sports]
This and the one before are in serious competition with each other in my mind because they both do the same thing, and they both do it really well: juxtapose Luz being totally oblivious to how utterly Amity has fallen for her, with Amity, being utterly, agonizingly smitten.  I ended up giving the number two slot to this one just based on how HARD Amity is trying to keep a lid on her Gay, and how Luz, in her eagerness to power through Amity’s apparent need to seem tough (NOT THE PROBLEM ACTUALLY), does exactly the one thing that Amity desperately wants, and is terribly afraid of.  Amity legit would have fainted if Luz had like, I donno, kissed her cheek or something.
Number 1: “She can be so STUPID, which I love, I MEAN HATE” Amity rolls a 1 on her deception check when she tells the GM she doesn’t want Gus and Willow to notice she’s in love with Luz.
I didn’t think this one would make it this far, but ultimately it’s A: just too adorable, and B: it is the most SEEN Amity’s panic gets.  Willow watches her the entire time, with this “oh, you poor bastard” look and it’s PRICELESS.  Gus doesn’t notice, but Willow.  Willow is so obviously aware of Amity’s Gay Freakout Time.  The other freakouts feel almost like they could be happening inside Amity’s head, like maybe this episode is shot from her point of view so we’re seeing what these moments felt like *to her* but this last one... WILLOW KNOWSssss.
And Luz sure doesn’t lololololol
