Side Tangent:

I almost didn't put in Taivan but I realized that they, out of everyone, encompass what happens after the song. The song begs for someone to weather the storm with them, for theirs to be a love that withstands everything like a sailor on a boat. For all intents and purposes, Tai and Van did that. They found someone to be in love with in a homophobic small town in 1996. But they didn't last, they broke up. Jut like everyone else, they never moved on, not really. However, unlike everyone else, they've had their chance and they also still have time. When the storm came back around they found each other again. Lottie and Shauna? They're still begging for their loves. Also Tai could have easily ended up like Lottie and Shauna because Van was almost the first to die in the wilderness several times. It's like fate is catching up to her by giving her cancer and then Tai will be like Lottie and Shauna.

I also thought of doing Lottienat but I am kind of a firm believer that regardless if Lottie and Nat end up having something in their youth before the 2021 timeline, Laura Lee was Lottie's first love. If anything, Nat was her second. That doesn't diminish Lottie and Nat's relationship, if there was one. It's just different and equally valid.

(The parallels between Jackieshauna and Lottielee are fucking insane. Shauna was pulling herself away from Jackie and Lottie was clinging to Laura Lee. Lottie was always pointed at as the "crazy" one, even by Shauna and yet Shauna was having hallucinations of Jackie. Laura Lee was burning in her last moments and you can see her accept her death in the moment itself, Jackie was freezing in her last moments and she accepted her death long before it actually happened. Parallel lines and they both ended up the same way.)

I do NOT ship Tai and Jackie, but again, I dig their dynamic--this time from a rivalry standpoint. It's especially interesting to think about how they don't talk about anything, but they're constantly circling one another. Taissa wants to freeze Allie out; better not tell Jackie. Jackie just left Van in the plane; Taissa has not been informed directly of this. Jackie's losing her grasp on her friendship with Shauna; Tai's stepping in, because Tai knows a secret that would devastate Jackie, but Jackie doesn't know this, so it just looks like she's being replaced. Taissa wants to be in charge, but Jackie's the one with the captainship, even though their coach is so aware that Tai's the better player (and do I think this leads eventually to Tai running for office? you bet I do!). It's two people who just...don't really want the other to exist? Not out of malice, but because the other person is something of an obstacle at every turn. Tai's gonna turn a vote against Jackie to look for the lake. Jackie's gonna get everyone to do a seance even though Tai thinks it's stupid. And yet, in the end, Tai's the one who tries--and fails--to stop Jackie from walking to her death. It's fundamentally crazy, and I would have loved to see them interacting as adults.

★ When she gets to your hallway, she's supposed to walk through while you appear out of seemingly nowhere [a well placed hole in the wall] and follow her down the hallway. For the most part, it was a great way to get guests to run into the next room for another big scare, but Natalie doesn't make it easy for you. She stands there and watches you slowly lumber over to her, a smile threatening to cross her face once she realized it was you.

"What are you suppose to be?"

As soon as she texts you that she's there, you're bolting out to her car- you forgot an important part of your costume in her backseat, and decide to grab it while you still have the time.

★ All she sees is what looks like an axe murderer, sprinting full speed towards her car.

★ Her windows are up all the way but you can still hear her scream her lungs out. You remind her its you and comfort her to the best of your ability through the window on the drivers side while she white knuckles the steering wheel.

Okay inspired by @thetruthisfictional post about Milex patterns. I thought I would share some observations I have made in my autistic pattern seeking brain.

I am only looking at the post EYCTE period to the present day, and not everything is in chronological order.

Louise

Louise started to appear around the same time Miles decided to move back to the UK permanently. Rather than Alex split with Taylor, there are rumours of him cheating on her with Louise, creating a reason for him to want to leave LA. It is also a convenient narrative because Miles and Taylor were friends, so the reason that Miles and Alex can’t be seen together is because Miles doesn’t like Louise because of what she did to his friend Taylor.

Which means Alex can come home to London, without it looking obvious that he is following Miles.

Plothole – the reason for his return is so  Louise can split her time between London and Paris to pursue her ‘successful music career’. The truth has since emerged that Louise lives in Paris and Alex lives in London and Louise has no career to speak of.

Louise’s use of social media

A genuine social media account will post day to day happenings, even not every day. Shared songs, interesting meals, something work related. Louise’s posting only ever coincided with events happening around AM. Go and check her account sometime, see how much she posted around the summer of 2022 leading up to the release of The Car. Note also how she has posted every September 21 since 2021 which also coincides with the day she was officially announced in September 2018.

Songwriting

Since EYCTE Alex has not used one female pronoun in a romantic sense. Miles barely has either, nothing to the degree of the previous two albums.

Alex’s image

This is so carefully protected. Most recent photographs were taken several days or even weeks before. Alex is usually in his ‘costume’. One of the most questionable being the recent Eurostar ones. He was sitting there so obviously being ‘Alex Turner’ but the only people who recognise him are a couple of fans who happen to have professional equipment. I suspect there are all sorts of clever wizardry and facial recognition software going on in Meta that stops unfamiliar photos of Alex being published. Before you say ‘How can they do that?’ think about times you may have uploaded a song only for the sound to immediately disappear or you get a message with the list of territories it can’t be played in. This happens in seconds so the technology is there.

The train photos fitted a convenient narrative. Just after Alex was seen coming home from Paris, Louise is seen in the Caribbean with her family. We then get a recent of Alex in NY. Louise comes home from the Caribbean to Paris, but then makes sure to tell us she is going to NY, we then get the pap walk etc.

Why are we never allowed to see Alex walking along Bethnal Green High Street or in the pub with Miles? I think this is less to do with record company pressure and more to do with Alex wanting to keep his private life private.

Miles’ use of social media

Last year when AM were in the UK, I would notice that days Alex was on a break, we would hear nothing from Miles. You might get one official post about OMB that was clearly posted from his social media team. But stories would be empty.

Once Alex went to the US in late August, many a night we were treated to tipsy Miles chatting to the TV, or filming little Maxie getting up to mischief in the house. Soon as Alex came home it stopped.

Earlier this year Miles started the late night posting again and filming Maxie. Lo and behold a few days later we get pics of Alex in NY. Soon as he comes home, it stops again.

Another thing I have noticed. When Miles posts videos he always puts the photographer's name. But he occasionally only puts an 👀. These will always appear when Alex isn’t seen elsewhere.

The Wars Waged by Women or the Blacks & the Golds-Aegon II|Oc (Daemon and Rhea's daughter)

A/N: This is the female oc partial historic page in some historic book. It is not 100% accurate to what 'actually' happened. Rhaenya (the Oc) face claim is totally Anya Taylor-Joy in my head and her brother (another Oc) is totally blonde-Callum Turner. PS:. Meraxes survived Dorne, because this is a fanfic and Meraxes is my all time fave, with Vermithor as a close second.

Rhaenya the Elder was Queen Consort of the Seven Kingdoms from 133 AC to her death, as the wife of King Aegon II, her paternal cousin. Rhaenya was the eldest child of Prince Daemon Targaryen and Lady Rhea Royce. She was held in high esteem by the smallfolk and soldiers, honoured as ‘Mother of the Camp’ during her husband’s Civil War for the Iron Throne, no Targaryen queen was as revered as she was during the reign of her husband, and later in that of her descendants.

Early Life

Rhaenya was born in Runestone Castle in the Vale of Arryn to Daemon Targaryen and his first wife, Lady Rhea of House Royce, on the first night of 107 AC, the eldest of a pair of twins. Rhaenya’s basic education consisted of reading, spelling, writing, grammar, history, arithmetic, art, cyvasse, dancing, embroidery, music, and religious instruction, she was also instructed in languages, learning both High Valyrian as well as the Old Tongue. She and her ladies-in-waiting entertained themselves with art, embroidery, and music. She lived a relaxed lifestyle for most of her life.

Betrothal and Marriage

The question of Rhaenya’s marriage was not a new one. She had, at the age of six, a betrothal to Edric Arryn, her second cousin and, at the time, the second in line to inherit the Eyrie. This arrangement, however, did not last long. Edric’s father disinheritance by Lady Jeyne Arryn, caused the betrothal to be broken off.  

In 119 AC, an attempt was made to betroth Rhaenya to Lord Corbray’s heir, Ser Leowyn. The princess, however, was against the match and refused to consent.  

Lady Jeyne Arryn tried in vain to make an arrangement to Ser Joffrey Arryn, her favoured heir, as a match with Rhaenya, the only granddaughter of Lady Elys Arryn, and a closer relation to Lady Jeyne, would grant Ser Joffrey more legitimacy in the eyes of the Lords of the Vale.

Talks started in early 120 AC to betroth Princess Rhaenya to her paternal cousin, Prince Aegon, the King’s firstborn son, carried by Ser Otto Hightower and Lord Yorbert Royce. A formal betrothal took place following the funeral of Lady Laena Velaryon, the princess’ stepmother, after Rhaenya bonded to the dragon Meraxes. The cousins would not marry before the year 123 AC, when both achieved the age of majority, by then, Prince Aegon had spent the last three years in the Vale, as squire under Ser Gunthor Royce and was moulded into a man by Lord Yorbert Royce, growing a relationship of camaraderie and brotherhood with his cousin, Prince Jaehaelor, the heir to Runestone.

In the third month of 123 AC, Rhaenya and Aegon were married, as had been planned since 120. Little is specifically known of the ceremony, but it is said to have been “noteworthy" and a grander affair than the Princess of Dragonstone’s nearly a decade before. Prince Aegon proved himself a lusty husband and their marriage quickly bore fruit.

Triplets born before the end of the year during a Blood Moon, and three more children followed in quick succession.

The Golds and the Blacks

Initially referred to as ‘the Greens’ and the ‘queen’s party’, it quickly changed with the return of Prince Aegon to King’s Landing, as it was clear that the prince had no intention to be his mother and grandfather puppet king.

Green was replaced by gold in the Red Keep, with even the prince's siblings wearing the colour.

For her part, Rhaenya quickly won the love of the smallfolk to her husband’s side with her generosity and charity, usually accompanied by her young children.

It is claimed by some contemporaries and historians that Rhaenya may be responsible for the great campaign against the Princess of Dragonstone led by the Faith in the decade following the elopement of Princess Rhaenyra with her uncle, Prince Daemon. A more laughable theory might be that Rhaenya as Aegon's Queen was responsible for the strategies that brought her husband victory.

Death of Viserys I and Aftermath

Upon the death of King Viserys I Targaryen, Queen Alicent and Lord Commander Criston Cole sent out the Kingsguard to summon the small council members. During the gathering, the conversation quickly stirred towards Rhaenyra's coronation, but Ser Otto Hightower, the Hand of the King, told those who had gathered that Prince Aegon the Elder would be crowned, whilst Lord Lyman Beesbury, the master of coin, insisted Rhaenyra should be crowned as queen.

Several other council members countered him. Ser Tyland Lannister argued that the oaths made to Rhaenyra in 105 AC had not been made by them, since it had been twenty-four years, even then, the oaths were made under duress and as such, held no value. Lord Jasper Wylde mentioned that the Old King Jaehaerys I twice chose a male heir over the female heir and her descendants, and Ser Otto argued that Rhaenyra was married to Prince Daemon, who would become the true ruler, should Rhaenyra gain the crown. Both Hightowers argued that not only they, but also Alicent's and Aegon’s children would die should Rhaenyra become their queen.

Grand Maester Orwyle predicted a war, believing that Rhaenyra would never be willing to give up her birthright, and had dragons at her disposal. When Lyman declared that he was not willing to listen to people plotting to steal her crown and attempted to leave. After the Beesbury situation, the green council made their plans, vowing their loyalty to their new king, and arresting all those in King's Landing who could be loyal to Rhaenyra.

To all those who might be loyal to Aegon, ravens were sent. Princess Rhaenya called to her brother to raise his banners. Jaehaelor, Lord Royce of Runestone following Lord Yorbert death, arrived in time to witness the coronation.

Envoys were quickly sent to persuade the lords to support Aegon.

The newly crowned Queen Rhaenya was to fly to the Eyrie, Prince Aemond was sent to Storm’s End, and Prince Daeron was to go to Dorne to secure allies. Prince Jaehaelor was dispatched to Dragonstone under a peace banner, offering Rhaenyra generous terms, Septon Eustace is of the opinion that neither Aegon, least of all his queen, believed that Rhaenyra would accept the terms and that perhaps they even hoped for war, as it would be the necessary excuse to eliminate the opposing lineage.

anyways i want to reread some of my favorite nu fics, so i figured i would do it while simultaneously recommending them at the same time :)

The Neutron-Turner Family Memory Book by TheBlossomingFox (teen | oneshot ) : this fic is adorable! it’s an aged up jt fic where the author explores their dynamic as parents. it’s adorable and funny and one of the best slice of life fics i’ve read :)

2. Another Day in the Future by JesterJazz (gen | oneshot ) : this fic is definitely one of the funniest fics i’ve read in this fandom. following jimmy and timmy when they accidentally time travel to the future, landing in the house of their future married selves. it's jimmytimmy focused, but it highlights their friendship and fun bickering really well.

3. twin fantasy by nousernamesorry (teen | 4/? ) : jimmy receives a message telling him that he's needed in space, and he quickly leaves. only, he doesn't come back, and timmy has to learn to heal. i'm going to be completely and fully honest when i say that this is the fic that got me into writing for the nicktoons team. op has a writing style that is incredibly heartwrenching, and the small amount of fluff before the latter chapters completely breaks me everytime i read it.

4. more than cartoons; battle of the bands by anonymous (gen | oneshot) : spongebob squarepants is putting together a band for the annual school contest! with his makeshift team of muscians, he has to beat the syndicate before they win the tournament! this fic is SO fun! it's definitely my favorite of the author's oneshots, and it's amusing and charming and just aljewfwabkfd

5. only have a moment before it's all over (a burning desire that cries again) by whisper_into_my_heart (teen | 14/50 ) : i have to be completely honest, i was REALLY late to the party with this fic!! mpreg (and preg in general) really is not my jam, but i instantly fell in love with op's oc hannah, and the dynamic between the girl andher parents. im not exactly caught up with the story (no spoilers please :3) but i am SO excited to finish the next few chapters and then for the rest of the story to be completed!!

6. We're Perfect Punting Height by CrystalMarbles (teen | drabble ) : this fic is a drabble, but i think it's pretty funny!! it's about the gang having a conversation with each other discussing the syndicates less than evil traits. like plankton's height, or crocker's obsession with finding fairies. definitely a good short funny read!

7. Rewinding the clock by Pastacurls (not rated | 7/? ) : (grabbing onto your shoulders and shaking you) SECOND PERSON!! I LOVE SECOND PERSON. anyways there's barely any three word fics in this fandom that i could find. i know this is hypocritical of me but im going to say it anyways. this fic is my JAM though. amnesiac timmy after his eighteenth birthday, stumbling through the remains of his life as he loses his fairies and his friends. i could talk about this for hours.

8. new phone who dis by rbt_lvr ( teen | 9/? ) : the old fandom is rottmnt. unapologetically. they're technically nicktoons so it counts in my book. plus, this is genuinely my favorite fic that ive read like uh ever. it's a silly chat fic where all of the turtles are gaslighting each other into thinking that they are normal people. donnie makes a mom joke that never fails to make me laugh. leonardo's raised by the gay hippo and worm. they treat lou jitsu like taylor swift fans treat taylor swift. it's absolutely insane. 10/10.

9. lead single by nousernamesorry (teen | 2/2 ) : if nousernamesorry has 100 fans im one of them. if they have 10 fans im one of them. if they have no fans im dead. i love all of their works and every single one makes me swoon. lead single is KIND of cheating with this prompt because most of the setting takes place on a beach. and it's also kind of during the summer. but it's about jimmy and timmy spending their birthday's apart, and the setting makes me wild. like the vending machine intro and the beach ending to the first chapter. like all of that screams summer to me idc idc.

10. The Art of Cooking and Cleaning by AbsoluteFooling (gen | 1/1 ) : GUYS IM SO EXCITED TO SHARE THIS FIC WITH YOU!! i love this fic so muchh oh my god. i had the priviledge of reading it before it was put on ao3 and oh my goddddd. makes me insane. it has spongebob and timmy dynamic (which we need MORE of) and its just. its just glorious i cant explain it in words. its about timmy questioning his self worth, and spongebob helps him. and its OUGH cant even put it into words. please go read it. if theres a fic i want you to read on this list its this one.

11. Are you Satisfied with an Average Life? by Anonymous (not rated | 3/? ) : i was really surprised by the lack of fics with lyrics as their titles... guess ill have to write more in order to continue doing my part. OKAY but this fic is REALLY GOOD. i absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE anything that relates to timmy's amnesia. this fic focuses on the main nicktoons as they help timmy recollect his memory, and timmy immediately hits sbsp in the head with a baseball bat and it is GREAT and the writing style is GREAT and i do think this is a necessary read. i really hope the author updates, but it has been a while, so i'll treasure the chapter's we have!!

12. Bad at Flirting by ShippingMyWorld (teen | 1/1 ) : because im cool and unique and whatever the kids are talking about with that demure stuff the other ship is tigerghost. which i KNOW is cheating considering i wrote a tigerghost fic, but i main jimmytimmy and its important to me that you know that. this fic is a fluffy, silly little fic where danny and manny talk about manny's love for cheap and cheesy pick-up lines (established relationship). shippingmyworld ALSO has a really cool tumblr account AND a bunch of other cool ao3 tigerghost fics so this is my absolutely desperate plea for you to go check them out.

13. but he's got a gun in his hands, and a burden in his heart. by Anonymous (teen | 1/1 ) : hi yes its me hello. totally anonymous user here. why havent you guys yelled at me to make my fic titles shorter omfg that's like an entire essay within itself. it's REALLY hard for me to choose one of my fics, because they all hold a special place in my heart for a different reason, but specifically the ending of this fic makes me break everytime. i won't spoil it but i love the metaphors. anyways this fic is BASICALLY just a bunch of timmy and (sort of) danny whump. check it out if you're interested :D

14. Of Memory Loss and Manipulation by EepyTheSleepy and @c0dydoesntknow (teen | 4/? ) : hello YES this fic is really great and it definiely falls right in line with my other interests. as soon as somebody says timmy amnesia fic i am GONE. the plotline in this fic is great, and the characterization is even BETTER. like you guys need to go support these two because they are amazing people and even amazinger authors!! their story is about the evil nu gang gaslighting timmy into thinking that the og nu gang is evil, which is GREAT because timmy just ends up being really confused the whole time

15. When rain falls, love blooms by 23ster (gen | 1/1 ) : kissing in the rain is SO romantic guys when is some girly gonna come and do it with me? this is a friend to lovers fic by the all time BEST person ever 23ster, and it perfectly conveys the idiots that are our favorite characters jimmy and timmy. from the trope of there is only one bed, to the all best ROOMMATES, and then the romantic yearning love confession(slash argument) in the rain. this fic ruins you, but its so so so great i swear.

16. So... Zinnias? by suluswife (gen | 1/4 ) : guys idk what kind of fics you want from me for this one i gotta be honest,, i love nala and all that he does (and i know the second chapters in production!! it also writes ninjago fics please for the life of me go check them out) and this fic just. IT JUST FITS THE PROMPT!! i read this at 3am!! it has the conversation at midnight and that writing that just FLOWS you know?? it's a platonic jt fic (im trying really hard to find nicktoon fics in general, i pinkie promise) with a soulmate au! jimmy and timmy are both idiots in this, but they have a conversation on the roof while staring at the stars so its a great fic by all standards.

17. best two out of three by dhe20 (gen | 1/1 ) : theyre so funny in this fic i love them so much.. if youve looked at my reblogs you know that i love it when they say just the stupidest shit ever, and this fic DEFINITELY fits the bill. it's so funny it kills me every time! plus the way the author writes converys the battle scene well, and im so happy that this fic has a number in the title so that i could convey my love for it here!
